The Hound of the Baskervilles
Sir Charles Baskerville dies on the Devon moors, fueling rumors of a hound curse that haunts the family. Sir Henry Baskerville, heir to the estate, arrives from Canada. Concerned for his safety, he hires Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Watson investigates locally, uncovering clues: footprints, a mysterious figure, and a warning note. Holmes arrives, revealing that Barrymore, the butler, and his wife are concealing fugitive Selden. The villain is Sir Hugo Baskerville’s descendant, Stapleton, who orchestrated murders to claim the inheritance. The deadly hound is exposed, more bark than bite, ultimately rescuing Sir Henry.
