The following is a presentation of FCBFaith glassl Hagen's the Second Hello everybody,
(00:28):
I'm Rashima Hagen's and guys, thehour Glass is here. Thank you,
thank you, thank you. It'sgood to be back with you, with
our family out there. Uh,it's been I guess a trying time,
some child's and tribulations that we've beengoing through as well, but we are
back. God is good, heis faithful, and we are back with
(00:48):
you guys to share that good news. Amen. Amen, man Amen.
So I'm just gonna be honest withyou, guys. I didn't really do
a lot of studying this time, but my wife did, so she's going
to open up and uh we're goingto just kind of feed off her,
(01:11):
and I'm going to piggyback off herand and help out today because you know,
I didn't study. I'm sorry,No pressure you. I was tired.
You know, I'm sorry. I'msorry. I was tired. Okay,
So I'm ready. Yeah, I'mwith you, baby, let's go
all right back, let's go.Hey, everybody, So today we're talking
(01:33):
about, like Bruce said, now, trials and tribulations. But this,
uh, this conversation is just aboutencouragement and to let you know that there
is victory after this. Okay, hold on, what is after this?
What does that look like? Afterall you're going through the trials and tribulations,
(01:53):
the relationship issues, the financial issues, the heartache, the breakups,
life, you know, all theall the stuff we don't like to talk
about that life brings. There isvictory after that. Okay. So we're
starting with just just to not togo through the whole story. But we're
(02:16):
talking about one of my favorite storiesin the Bible about the walls of Jericho
and how the Israelites marched around thecity walls for once a day, six
days, for six days, andseven times on the seventh day. It
reminds me that when you're when you'reasking God for something, when you're believing
(02:36):
God for a victory, and you'rebelieving God that you're going to be delivered
from something, there are instructions. There are things we have to do,
you know, and be obedient toGod until that deliverance comes, until that
victory comes. So I just wantto encourage you today that once you've done
all you can do physically naturally, you know, there are things you have
(03:00):
to do physically and naturally on yourown. But once you do all of
that and you feel like if you'refeeling like what now, why hasn't it
happened? Just trust that there isvictory after this. So when we're talking
about that the story of the Wallsof Jericho, it's in First Samuel fifteen
(03:22):
twenty two that I'm actually referring tohow we know that there is victory.
First Samuel fifteen twenty two says hasthe Lord has great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, as in obeyan thevoice of the Lord, behold. To
obey is better than sacrifice, andto heed than the fat of rams.
(03:45):
I want to tie this in andlet you guys know that the reason you
will experience your victory is because you'reobedient to God. Being obedient is what
brings for victory. The Israelites wereobedient. It didn't make sense to them.
I'm sure that they had to walkaround the walls of Jericho for seven
(04:11):
days. I'm sure you know theydidn't really understand why they had to do
it, but they were obedient andthey did it, and when they were
finished, the walls came down.So even if your your issue or your
problem looks like a wall of Jericho. It's it's too big to handle on
your own. It's it's just toobig for you to penetrate by yourself.
(04:35):
Know that once you are obedient,God will bring those walls down. Did
you want to say something? Goahead, all right, So I have
to stop looking at you and I'mtalking because you look like you want to
jump. Just keep the rope going, you know. But but God gives
(04:58):
us the instructions and a pla toovercome the obstacles and walk in our season
of victory and deliverance. And youdon't. We don't always understand the plan
and its entirety. But that's whereyour faith comes in, and you have
to trust God. And I'm justI just want to encourage you to trust
God and allow him to build yourfaith so that you are obedient even in
(05:19):
things when you don't understand. Youknow, if you know what God is
telling you and he's told you whatto do, do that. Don't add
to it, don't take away fromit, don't over it, don't overanalyze
it. Stick to what he's toldyou. Be obedient to what God is
saying to you, and do whathe's telling you to do and trust that
(05:42):
once you do that, he'll takeit from there. You know, he'll
take it from that point. Onceyou do your part, he'll do the
rest. Are man, you're yeah, let me get in there a little
bit, okay. And you know, it's interesting how you brought up the
story of the Wall of Jericho. In life, we have many different walls
(06:05):
that come up before us that youknow, we try to knock down on
our own and what we can't dothis in our own strength, But the
Lord says, you know, hewill give you the strength to do a
thing. He said, all thingsare possible through him. When you know,
when we are in a place oflike anxiety or you know, we
(06:28):
do something and we wanted to bedone, you know, we really have
to rely on the Lord and firstand first and foremost, let us make
sure that that is his will. You know, we we we we.
It's funny because even in this timeright now, everything is happening. I'm
(06:53):
talking about this world is in aworld where I'm talking about it's all kind
of mess happening. This world isjust messy, but you know, we
still live in it and we haveto oblige about what we need to do.
But we need to know that whenwe are going through something and that
wall is up, once we giveit to the Lord, he says,
(07:15):
bring it to him. He says, you know, my burden is,
my yoke is easy, and myburden is like you know, bring that
to him, he said, bringall that before him, and he will
and he will handle that for you. You know, when we are dealing
with situations that are just getting onour nerves and we started to worry him,
(07:35):
the Lord says, you know,be still and know that he is
God. He says to you,he says that his word will not come
back void. He will perform it. You know, it even says you
know. He says, in prayerand petition with thanksgiving, he said,
presented to God, and he said, he will give you the peace that
(07:57):
surpass us all understanding. And yourheart would lose your mouth, I mean,
through your mind. In Christ Jesus, we don't have to go through
this alone. We don't have todeal with this fight. This, this
is not even our battle. Hesaid. This fight at George. He
said, to fight is Lord.He said, what you're fighting w if
(08:18):
you fighting with well, you knowhe might as well, just get on
out the way. But he says, be still and know that he is
God. He is the one thatyou know, hey, step back and
see the salvation of the Lord giveyou know, don't. You ain't got
to do this in your own strength. You can't do it in your own
(08:39):
strength. Right and Mark eleven twentyfour says, therefore, I say to
you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you will
receive them, and you will havethem. See to believe, you have
to have faith, though, rightand he says, it's impossible to please
(09:01):
God if you ain't got faith. So you have to have faith first and
foremost. And we all and andyou know what, And the crazy thing
about this is, if you readit, we all have a He all
gives us. He gives us alla measure of faith, you know.
And he didn't say how much. But you start out the gate with some
(09:24):
kind of faith. And the reallycrazy thing about this is when Jesus says,
have the faith of a mustard seed. I went one day and said,
I did never really know just howsmall a mustard seed was. And
I went to the store and Iwent and bought some, and I would
(09:48):
and pulled out a mustard seed andput it up to a piece of nerd
candy, and the mustard seed wassmaller than that. But what is that
say about us and our faith ifour faith is not even as big as
this mustard seed? He said,if you have faith of a mustard seed,
(10:09):
you can move mountains right right?Well, check this out if you
have this kind of faith. Andhe said, you can move mountains.
And I'm sure, I'm sure Igot more faith as a mustard seed.
What do you think that holds youback from the breakthrough? And I believe
(10:30):
in my heart well holds us backfrom the breakthrough even if we have faith
of a mustard seed is to thenbe still and wait, because if you
have faith as that mustard seed,it's already done. We can go on
to the next, right, wecan go on to the next thing.
God got it, He says,he ain't gonna never leave north for sake.
(10:52):
Me. I got that faith?Boom, Let me move on.
What's happening right? Yeah? Sothe next question is can you follow the
instructions of God and follow his planfor your victory? You can? What
the Bible says, the flesh isweak and the spirit of straw And that's
(11:15):
where we are now. So we'rein a place now where a lot of
us our believing God for that breakthrough. We're believing God to be delivered.
We're believing God for that victory. But we have to examine ourselves and ask
ourselves have we followed the instructions?Have we been obedient to his instructions?
Do we have the faith to bevictorious? Meaning when we're talking to God
(11:41):
that we're praying, are we prayingabout our problem as in, are we
just telling God what our problem islike he don't already know, or are
we praying because we believe we're victorious? Well, it could be a little
bit of both. Yeah, itwas kind of a loaded question o part.
Yeah, it's a little bit ofboth. But but the thing is
(12:03):
the flesh wants to help because theflesh wants it done right then and there
right, you know, and thenwhen that happens, it's not a void
God like this here, man,I ain't on that either, you're gonna
surrender all. I'm gonna go ahead, move out the way and let you
handle this until you know, youget tired. So the other part of
(12:24):
that is too, what happens whenyou're not obedient, then it ain't gonna
happen point blank. You know,we need to stop sugar coating what this
is and what the Bible says andwhat God risks requires from us. This
is not something that God has said, Okay, i'm let's sit down and
compromise. You know, this iswhat He requires from you. But He
(12:50):
is so merciful and so grateful thathe will wait there until you know,
you get to together and come tohim. Right. We don't have to
we don't have to keep mumping ourhead up against the wall because He's there
for us, right. And obedienceis so important, And that's excuse me.
(13:11):
Obedience is so important because obedience reallyis the conduit to bring forth the
blessings, right, Like, wehave to be obedient and it's and like
Bruce was saying that it is hardto be to not be human and not
want to do it your way oryou know, do it a faster way,
but you have to trust God,which means you have to trust the
(13:33):
process. And it's hard for usto trust the process because a lot of
times we are in this information agewhere we know everything by just googling it
or just listening to a podcast likethis one or something like that. You
know, but when it comes tohow God works, he's not required to
respond on our time because it's notour time, it's his. But he
(13:58):
says this, and this is so, this is so refreshing because this is
what God says. And this isin Isaiah one in the eighteenth verse.
He says, come now, letus reason together, says the Lord.
Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
(14:22):
Though be red like crimson, theyshall be as wolf. You know,
even in spite of us getting inthe way, he like, come on,
let us consider, I'm still withyou. I'm still showing grace upon
you. And he said this beforeeven Jesus stepped on the scene, and
(14:43):
he's showing you, you know, you don't have to go through this if
you just be obedient, If youcan just be obedient, there is light
at the end of the tunnel. There is something after this. So when
we even read that scripture, that'sGod is still still showing his love towards
(15:03):
you, that he will make thingsall right. Right. So even so,
even if you have been given instructionand you've chosen chosen to not do
them or do them your way. There's still hope. There's hope. Yeah,
but I mean again, let usnot sugarcoat this. There's hope.
(15:24):
But you know it's gonna be aminute because you're being disobedient to the word
of God. You know, ifyou want this light at the end of
the time, if you want toreach to this light, if you want
this, that's that's after that. It's for you to be obedient and put
that trust in God, and tobe obedient to keep more. He said,
(15:48):
go ahead and leave it before him, and go ahead and keep living
your life. You can't. Wecannot. I cannot be in a situation
and just worry myself to death overit. After I said, all right,
Lord, go ahead and take itright. You can't worry about it.
You can't keep putting your hands backin it. You can't keep you
(16:10):
know, getting involved back in it. Whatever it is. No for you
when you say I'm giving it toGod, you have to give it to
God wholeheartedly and stay out of itand let God do what God does.
Yeah, And every time you comeback to it and you try to tweak
it or you try to add toit, all you're doing is halting the
(16:33):
process because you really are getting inyour own way. And you know,
we hear older people used to sayit all the time, you're getting in
God's way, You're getting in yourway. That's exactly what you're doing.
You're getting in the way. Thingsare going to happen when they're supposed to
happen how they're supposed to happen, because God is in control and he's going
to make it so when he saysso, so we can't maneuver and manipulate
(16:59):
this thing like we think we can. It always works out when he says
so. And then we always talkabout take the will of Jesus, take
the will, Take the will ofJesus, take the take the will.
He take the will, and thenyou want to sell over there and hold
on to it too, because we'renot. We have not practiced faith like
(17:25):
we were taught to do. Youknow back in the day. I think
a lot of churches have gotten awayfrom even teaching with having real faith means.
And you know, for me,faith means total reliance on God.
And if I say take the willJesus, that I really have to be
willing to sit in a passenger seat. And that is a learn practice.
It's not something you just up anddo because we've been taught to do things
(17:48):
so different, you know when anew generation and it's so we So I'm
going to go back to what wewere talking about, and let's start with
your faith first and foremost. Doyou actually believe victory is possible? Victory
is possible? I do believe that, yes, So that's the first part.
(18:10):
If you truly believe victory is possibleand victory can happen for you and
you can be delivered from your situationor this relationship, your financial struggles.
You know, you really can bedelivered from all of those things through the
power of the Holy Spirit. It'snot about dialing into a certain number you
know of certain ministry or you know, manifesting and stuff like that that people
(18:36):
want to do. You can goto God yourself and talk to him and
get the get the instructions and theinsights you need for your deliverance and for
your victory to become a reality.Okay, you can do that, but
(18:56):
what do you you say to thosewho are not as in the belief of
Christ or in the belief of God. You know what if you are up
against a new, a new creaturein Christ, how do you assure them?
How do you teach them this faith? I mean, because they just
(19:18):
brand new, you know, theygreen green, they real green in the
faith. I started at Matthew eleventwenty four. You know, I think
a lot of times Christians, likeyou said, new new people, uh,
new folks that are new in theirfaith, struggle in their growth because
a lot of times we make Christianityand we make our spirituality a lot more
(19:44):
complicated than it needs to be.We make it, you know, we
make it all. You know,it's we give people the impression you have
to use real big words and youhave to you know, basically know the
whole history of you know, Jerichoitself. You know, like you have
to literally not like have a mapof Jericho in your head. And that's
not what God requires, you know. He requires that we believe, period.
(20:11):
This requires us to believe in Him, have faith in what he says
he will do for you. Andif you believe that you will be delivered
from whatever you're struggling with, that'sthe first start. And that's a big
start that I mean, that's reallyit's bigger than what people think it is.
(20:33):
But that's a great start. Justhave the faith. And then of
course we have to learn how totrust God. And that is something we
have to learn how to do,which means you have to learn how to
trust God. How not the secondguess what he's doing, how not to
see something and say, well,I don't know if I believe it anymore
because what I see isn't what matcheswhat God told me. I mean,
(21:00):
yeah, that's easier said than done. Yes, but you know, we're
living in this wicked, in diverseworld. I mean, it's like making
Halloween fun or something like Halloween issupposed to be, you know something,
and really is uh a day ofthe Devil's Day. I guess, like
(21:26):
I say, you know, Imean, but you know, they try
to make it seem like, youknow, it's okay. You know,
you got kids running up and downhaving candy. I mean enough to say
that we didn't do it. Wedid it. We didn't know it wasn't
right though, you know, sodo now you know? When do we
start telling the children that, hey, you just this ain't really what you
want to do? You know?So when I say that, because then
(21:49):
they're like, well, what dowe do? And do I not have?
Can I not wear have candy? Can I not wear hogstumes? No
more? I mean, so yougo to a place where a belief if
I stop doing this, is thisgonna be okay? That something else I
(22:12):
can do? Or what do Ibelieve in? Now? What's the belief?
What does this look like? Afterthat? Then? Well, I
think anything anything that you choose toparticipate in, anything you choose to imitate,
you should always find out what exactlyis it meaning from your holidays to
you know, your practices on notewith how you pray, I think you
(22:34):
should always do your own research andfind out what exactly you're participating in.
So, since we're coming up onHalloween, okay we want to talk,
we can. It doesn't take muchto find out where Halloween originated from.
It's celebration of the dead, andif that's what you want to subscribe to,
(22:56):
just go into it knowing that that'swhat you're in agreement with. And
you know, a lot of peopledo jump on the bandwagon of what they
heard is popular on TV or YouTubeor whatever because it's popular and it's trending.
But to go into something ignorant isnot only irresponsible, it's dangerous.
(23:19):
Okay. So I'm gonna tell youwhy I brought it. I'll tell you
why I brought this, brought thatin. It was a little off subject.
I want to tell you why Ibrought it in. So, if
I participate in Halloween festivities and I'mgoing through something, does that hinder me
(23:47):
from continue to keep going through? Is that this obedient to God? Will
that? Would that hinder me fromgetting my breakthrough? To me? Yes?
Okay, Because if I'm participating ina holiday that celebrates the Dad celebrates
(24:10):
evil spirits excuse me, celebrates spiritsthat are not of God into my world?
How do I expect God to enterinto that same world and do something
good for me? The two can'texist at the same time. That's true.
(24:36):
So for me, that is aproblem, okay, because I just
want to know while we're in thisthis space, in this time, when
it comes to Halloween, you know, well, you know what, let
me just go here. I thinkI know where you're trying to take me.
(24:56):
So let me just say this.I personally don't belie even Halloween or
any other holiday that does not celebrateand recognize Christ. I believe one whole,
one hundred percent, wholeheartedly that anytimeyou celebrate anything that deals with spiritual,
that deals with the spiritual, youhave to be very well aware of
(25:18):
the spirit you're inviting into your life, into your world, into your home.
I don't like Halloween decorations in frontof my house or in front of
somebody's house with skeletons and demons crawlingup into the window, because as much
as people want to play and saythat it's decoration and it's all fun and
games, the spiritual realm is real, okay, And for anybody, whether
(25:42):
you have experienced it or not,Hell is real. The spiritual realm of
Hell is real. So when youwhen you when you participate and you condone
to be to just say, oh, it's just fun and it has no
(26:06):
effect or impact on me or anybodyaround me, Yes it does, because
you're inviting it in the minute, the minute you participate in it, you're
okay in it. You're inviting itin. And just like you invited it
in, you have to know howto get it out. And honestly,
(26:26):
the best way to get it outis to not deal with it in the
first place. Well, if it'sthere, then how you get it out.
If it's there, then it's therethere what you're just out of luck?
No, No, I mean you'renot out of luck. You have
to learn how to get it outonce you've invited it in, which means
you have to repent and change yourbehavior. Okay, but we talked about
let's say were talking about somebody that'sthat's new. Okay, let's let's let's
(26:49):
not even say they do say theyyou know, okay, they know they've
been in the church a little bit. But you know, it ain't easy
just to say you got to knowhow to get you got to know how
to get this spirit out. Youhave to go to a man or woman
of God that you know, andyou have to get instruction. I would
(27:11):
prefer not to have that kind ofconversation on this platform because there are different
answers. I mean, they allare, you know, the same that
you need to repent and get thatstuff out your house. But I believe
each circumstance will come with a setof instructions specifically for that person, and
(27:33):
I think the person, if thisapplies to anybody listening, you need to
find a woman or man of Godthat can help you with that situation.
If you don't know of a womanor man of God, you can reach
out to us on Facebook and we'llcontact you to help you. But I
don't want to make a broad statementabout that on this platform. So let's
(28:00):
let's swing back after this, afterthis, the storm has passed, the
clouds are gone, the sun isout there. What well, when I
when I was hearing about after this, after this, right now, it's
(28:26):
for all of those, all ofus that are going through and we've kind
of done all we know that wecan do. You know, you've ever
been in that place where you knowyou're going through something, You've done all
you can do. You've done allyou can You've prayed, you've talked to
God, you call this you knowthis profit this prophetess. You know you've
(28:48):
done all that and you're still kindof there, like you still kind of
stuck. But you know that there'snothing else you can do because you you
have done what you're supposed to do. So that's after this I'm talking about
today. Okay, so I'm goingto use myself as an example. Okay,
after this, now, you andI know, I filled out eighty
(29:12):
two positions for a job, andit was not very successful. Now,
listen, audience out there. Ifilled out eighty two, I'm sorry though,
eighty three positions and I was turnedout on all eighty three of them.
(29:34):
I was I was one thing thesepositions. I wanted these jobs,
and I didn't get them. Butit's a part two after that. So
let me go back to this.I did that. What do you call
that that I did? If itwasn't, you know, being obedient?
(29:56):
You know, if you know, you just can't I just what I said,
I said, I needed to dothis because I just can't give up.
I don't want to give up.You know, you can you call
it not giving up. I callit straight foolishness. Okay, let's talk
about it, because eighty three timesfor real, I mean, let's let's
talk about it. I just Ithink after the third time, we should
(30:19):
be going to guide and saying, okay, lord, what am I missing?
What am I not learning? Becausethree times should tell you something?
What that you know you just knowthat that job wasn't for you. I
mean, it's a lot of otherpeople that well don't come off. There's
(30:41):
a lot of other people that fillsout for the position as well. So
who's to say that my chance wouldnot come, my breakthrough not come.
Why would it be foolish than mejust hoping that this position might just be
for me because I'm from my perspectiveafter the third time, for me,
(31:07):
that would be a time to askGod if a resets necessary? Am I
even going in the right direction? You know, I apply for three things?
Am I even in the right field? Am I in the right neighborhood?
Or where you want me to go? And I think a lot of
times we forget to ask God wherehe wants us to go, and we
just try to keep telling God wherewe want to go. Well, didn't
(31:30):
he say make your request known untohim? Yes, but if it doesn't
line up with his will, it'snot going to happen. And if you
aren't seeking his will, you're justapplying for jobs that you want because it's
what you want, not him.So don't full out for what I want.
(31:52):
So read our listeners. If you'rethis stubborn, you know you're this
hard headed, Please don't do that. Please this this is a cautionary tale.
Please do not fill out for something. Eighty three times it wasn't after
it was it was. I know, honey, I was there, but
(32:14):
we and we had conversations about that, and you didn't listen to me then
either. So helping people listen, all I'm saying is go for what you
believe God has for you, butyou should be asking God at every every
time you apply, did you askGod? Is this what you want to
(32:35):
do? No? You didn't.And every time you got to know that,
you say, well, Lord, what do you want me to do?
Where do you want me to go? That's why you And see that's
the thing. Until you start talkingto God and listening to God, you
will do something eighty three times andget eighty three No's okay. So okay.
So then with that being said, going in before or after this,
(33:06):
you suggest that in all things goto God first. Okay, So after
this can really can really be beforethis if you just take it to the
Lord first. That's that's why I'mgetting that, okay. You know.
(33:28):
And I didn't do that, No, I didn't. I didn't take it.
I went straight gun. Okay,I didn't get that one. It
must be this next one. Ididn't get that one. It got to
be this next one. You know. I did that if I believe,
like like you said, and Isay this to the listeners too. If
it's something that you truly want,or if it's something that you truly need,
(33:51):
or if it's something that's really happeningthat you are trying to press through
and you're trying to get this afterthis moment, take it to God first
and let him give you the peacethat surpasses all. Understand it, because
once you give it to him,he will give you peace on it.
And that's what happened with me whenI said, okay, and and oh
(34:13):
and this is very important, andI believe Rashima will back me on this.
You have to surrender all to him. He just don't want half or
a little bit. It's an allsurrendered thing. And I know sometimes well
for me, you know, Iwas very very reluctant, and I was
(34:35):
like, you know, what doyou mean surrender all? What do you
mean all? And that's what hemeans. He wants he wants it all.
You know, we hear the song, we used to sing the song.
Yeah, he wants it all.We sing it and you know we
all hold hands and sway side toside. He wants it all. But
that's what he truly wants because it'snot in your strength. It's not in
(34:57):
my strength that we can be ableto do this, because see, we
forget the enemy is watching too.And if the enemy is watching and the
enemy is putting you in a situation, that's when we come up with the
strongholds and those tithes that we aretrying to in them chains that we be
trying to break. You know,we want to break every chain. We
(35:19):
want to break every chain. Wewant to break every chain, and we're
not taking it to God. Youknow, We're gonna break these chains on
our own. And then we'll wonderwhy we're an anxiety and we're frustrated with
depressed. It's because that after this, it needs to be a setup.
You know, we have to takeit to God. The anointing breaks to
(35:44):
you, is that right? Yeah? Okay, So your your faith and
your obedience in God will always bringforth an easier path. And I say
that because and I'm using you asexample since you brought it up. So
(36:04):
in this pursuit for another job oranother opportunity, say we do it on
our own, we go, wedo the job hunt. We're going to
get our dream job. And okay, and that may work out for you
but it may happen for you ineighty three times or eighty four times,
(36:27):
but if you took it to God, maybe you would have only had to
go through five steps versus the eightythree. Because God will open doors,
and your faith in your obedience opendoors to connections, opportunities, job offers.
You know, he puts your nameon the consciousness of people because he
(36:49):
works. Because Holy Spirit works foryou when you have faith in you believe,
when you have faith in your obedient. So when you're doing things or
you're pursuing things, God brings itto you and does the work for you,
versus you happen to toil and doit on your own. So I
want to motivate you. Now,that's my motivational speech for everybody that's struggling
(37:14):
with the surrendering. If you don'tunderstand why you should surrender or how can
you surrender, because when you do, God does the work for you.
When you don't surrender, he literallyjust steps back and lets you do it
your way. If you're determined todo it your way, he will let
you. He is a god offree will, is not to force anything
(37:37):
on anybody. So if you're gonnado it your way, He'll let you.
But that's how you end up witheighty three no's. So when you
surrender and you say, okay,Lord, whatever your will is, I'll
just wait to see what you say. Boom. So what did well?
(38:00):
I didn't wait? So I guessI can ask what do you do while
you're waiting? You pray and youbelieve and you wait. Because when you
think about it in the grand schemeof things, and I know, it
sounds real simple, and you're like, oh yeah, who can really do
that? No, you make itsound like somebody got to be just no,
just unnatural about how they do it. But here's the thing. When
(38:24):
you don't do anything and you trustGod, then you trust that He and
his angels are doing it for you. And you can't help God or an
angel. What can you do foreither one? You know, let's just
no, just real talk. Whatcan you really do? You don't have
any control over what's going to happen. You can't change what God's final answer
(38:49):
is. When you get to thatplace of surrender and peace, and you
know, I say like like Iyou know, I said it a little
while ago about the situation we weredealing with. I said, Lord,
whatever you say, I'm good eitherway, you know, And what happened,
He handled it, handled it beautifullywith very little effort for me.
(39:12):
Yeah, that's true. You know, I personally don't understand the struggle.
And I'm not saying that I neverstruggle, but in some aspects, you
know, we make things a lotmore complicated than they need to be because
we don't let God take over immediately. We wait till we mess it up.
(39:39):
We wait until we have just exhaustedour resources, our finances. In
some cases, you know, werealmost driving ourselves in saying trying to make
something happen, when all we hadto do was talk to God in the
first place. Some stuff just isnot going to ever come to pass because
it's not his will to do so, and there's nothing you can do about
(40:01):
that. So if you ask himimmediately, if this be in your will,
you know, yeah, you're supposedto tell him, not like he
doesn't already know, but yes, you're supposed to talk to God about the
desires of your heart. But understandthat He will give you the desires of
your heart if it lines up withhis will and his plan for your life.
(40:22):
If you're trying to go into adifferent career field, say, for
example, then what he has youin because he has you where you are
for a reason. If you're tryingto do something totally different, it might
not work out. That's not hisIf it's not his will, it's definitely
not going to work out. Butyou have to be open to say,
whatever your will is, whatever youranswer is, I trust you. And
(40:47):
when you trust him, that's whenyou're surrendering. And you have to be
okay with whatever that answer is.And please, if you do pray a
prayer like that, be sincere.Don't just say it because it sounds good
and you hear me say it,be sincere that you're really okay with the
answer that you're gonna get. Ipromise you nine times out of ten,
(41:12):
the answer you get will be waybetter than what you thought you were trying
to build for yourself. And that'sthe blessing in the obedience and trusting and
believing in God. A lot ofthe stuff we're trying to do on our
own, if we would just sitback and surrender and let God handle it,
he does so much better than wedo. He does so much better.
(41:36):
Our efforts are nothing to him,So when you say, you know,
God, I'm trusting you and I'mleaving this up to you, and
I know you'll handle it. Hecan handle it way better than you ever
can. Yeah, yeah, Amen. You cannot do God. No,
(42:00):
you cannot do God. And wellwe look at this thing while we're in
the midst of the storm. That'sa funny thing because even in the midst
of what you're going through, heis there. He is there with you.
You know, at point taken likethe story of the Disciples on the
(42:24):
boat. You know, the theboat started the you know, the winds
and the waves started to crashing, and you know, they're like, hey,
you know, Jesus here he onthe boat. He like he gonna
let us die, you know. And it's crazy because Jesus is there.
(42:45):
All they had to do was callon the name of Jesus. I say
that to say this, if you'regoing through something and you're trying to get
to that that place, call onthe name of Jesus to help you,
to give you relief, because hewill. He got up and say,
peace, be still. It wascalm, what my man say? What
(43:08):
manner of man is this to makethe ways? Who is this to who
is this Jesus, he was theone. He will help you get through
it. You don't have to gothrough this alone. You know, there's
nothing new under the son that nobodyhas not been through. And I'm not
(43:30):
saying everybody has been through the samesituation or the same problem, but everybody's
going through something right, right, everybody's going through something. But if we
could just we he myself. Youknow, when I just when I've said
I surrendered after that eighty three eightythree times, it was it was it
(43:53):
was crazy because you know I wasactually I was asking for increase. I
was asking for that to increase. And that's what I was trying to you
know, I was trying to Iwas trying to get the money for us,
baby. I was trying to getto I know, we need to
get this bread. You know whatI'm saying. What you say, you
(44:14):
know what I'm saying. You know, you know I hustle. You know
I was trying to get this wuak. You know what I'm saying. That's
what I do. But anyway,I was trying to get this money,
baby, please Okay. So afterI had said okay, I'm done the
(44:35):
little I start bringing it increase, you know, imagine that, I mean
increase, you know, I mean, he is it possible? But but
see what this my thing? ButI wondered this. He brought increase.
But everybody got it too, everybodygot everybody got it with me. I'm
like, wait a minute, Iwanted this for me. You have no
(45:00):
control over that. I guess youknow what the words saying it rain on
adjust and I just don't it.Actually, all you need to be concerned
about is what's going on in yourhousehold. Well, that's what I was
doing. So that's why I triedeighty three times, because I was worried
about I was going on in byfinancial household. So that that begs the
(45:22):
question. If it happened immediately whenyou surrendered, yes, I could it
have happened sooner if you the surrenderedsooner, you know what, it could
have. It probably could have.I'm friendly for it. I'm pretty sure
it might have. Although that's wherethe anxiousness comes in at you know,
(45:44):
when I'm and I'm making them andwe might be snickering and joking about this,
but it's a serious thing as humanswhen you feel that your back is
up against the wall, especially tryingto be a provider for your home.
You know, we we could saywe could we can read this word,
(46:06):
we can read this, and wecan say this. But when that when
that that pressure happens, when thatpinch happens, you know, it's hard
to be like all right, Lord, you know ay, Although that's where
prayer, faith obedience comes in.And I'm saying this to share it to
(46:32):
the audience. I'm using myself asan example that I too, are still
pressing with you guys to learn thatto hold onto that very little bit of
that faith mustard seed thing I gotgoing on, because it does work if
(46:52):
I believe, if we would justsit back and just surrender it and breathe.
You know, sometimes I even feellike we can't even breathe. It's
so tight, you know, likethe pressure, like like what's going on
now, you know, with lifeand with situations and with you know,
you're worrying about it. If you'regonna be able to make this happen or
(47:15):
you know, or if you're gonnabe able to trust God to make this
happen. It's tight now, youknow. But I believe, I believe
and just by witness and what Ihad to do was surrender and then just
breathe and let it go. ThenI saw something different. I seen him
(47:37):
move. I've seen the Lord movein a different way. And I say
this to the audience. If youdo that, and this is from experience,
this ain't something that I think. This is something that I know if
you leave it to him and sincerelyleave it to him and talk to him.
I mean, just like my wifesaid, you know, we get
to this. You know, somepeople get to this place where you got
(47:59):
to come with you. See,you got to be a theologian to talk
to God, you know, likeyou got to come with the deeds and
the dolls, and you got togo to historical lands, you know,
and speak to God just to getsomething. It's not like that with him.
Come to him true from your heart, a contracte heart is what he
(48:21):
What the Lord invites, that's whathe that's what he hears. And when
you come like that and you leaveit to him, I believe wholeheartedly now
that He will show up for youand you will and you will get to
that after that moment. Amen.So I want to just encourage you guys
(48:44):
in this place of after this, now, do all that you can do,
and trust that God will bring youto a place of victory and deliverance.
Believe that deliverance and victory is possible, Believe that God can do it,
and understand what it means when wepray and we ask God to remove
us out of the way and letthe Holy Spirit take over. You know,
(49:06):
understand that that is exactly what we'resupposed to do as His children,
as his believers. You know, like Ru said, you know, the
disciples were on the boat with Christhimself, and they still doubt it.
They still panicked. They didn't evenbecause of their anxiety and the situation that
(49:27):
they saw, they forgot who theywere on the boat with. You know,
they forgot they had Christ himself onthe boat. So it's we're not
saying this to condemn. Even whenyou're sitting with Christ himself, you forget,
You make mistakes. But when youask Him to speak to the situation,
(49:51):
his word alone changes everything. Hesaid a few words, it stopped,
and he went back to sleep. That's how it sounds so simple,
and I promise you it is.It is really not as complicated or as
(50:13):
difficult as a lot of people havemade it seem or as a lot of
as we have heard or been ledto believe, it is a discipline,
it is a learned behavior. Butyou can learn, you can become discipline
in turning things over to God andleaning out, excuse me, leaning out
(50:34):
into your own understanding and not evenbeing moved by the things you see.
Because again, they saw a lotof what they saw, what was going
on in the sea. They sawthat. But God, but God,
God spoke a word. He didn'teven have to stand up on the boat
(50:58):
and deliver a sermon. He hadthree words and that was it. If
he can do that for them, that's the same God we're talking about right
now. It's the same God wepray to. The same God can do
the same for you if you justask him to step in your situation.
(51:22):
Ma'am man. That's good. Yeah, that's good. Yeah, that's a
good ending. I I can't saynothing else about that. All right,
Well, that's a good ending. But you know what, guys, before
we go, this is the firststep, and the first step is receiving
(51:50):
the Lord Jesus Christ as your personalsavior and Lord, you have to get
in that place. For Jesus said, I am away the truth and the
life. No man come unto theFather but by him. So you have
to you have to tap in toJesus first. And the beautiful thing about
(52:13):
it is like I said, youknow, God, before even Jesus stepped
on the scene, he was stillhe was still caring for his children.
For in John three sixteen says,so God so loved, for God so
loved the world that he gave hisonly begotten son, for so whoever believeth
in him shall not perish, buthave everlasting life. Now, when you
(52:37):
get to that point, and Godhas given his son for you for your
salvation, and and Jesus died onthe cross for you, and the blood
that is shed on the cross forthe remission of sins for you, for
which we all we all all aresinners, and we all deserve what we
(53:05):
get. But it was through theblood of Jesus that we don't have to
we don't have to go down thatroute. But what I want to do,
if you're on the line, ifyou're hearing this and you want to
be saved, I want you tosay the Sinner's prayer with me, and
you can just repeat after me ifyou want to. This is your access.
(53:29):
This is your past to get onthe end and the thing. And
this is lovely because you know Jesussays, go into your prayer cause it
alone. Go privately if you haveto, you know, to pray.
But that's how you know He wantsyou, know, to come. He
wants you to come that all maybe saved and none perish. So I
(53:51):
would like you to repeat after me, Dear Lord Jesus. I know that
I am a sinner saved by yourgrace and mercy, and I ask you
for your forgiveness. I believe youdied for my sins and that you rose
from the dead. I turned formy sins and asked you to come into
(54:13):
my heart and life. I wantto trust and follow you as my Lord
and savior. In Jesus' name,I pray Amen. Now, if you
have prayed that prayer, that isthe angels in heaven. The angels in
(54:38):
heaven are excited. You know, the angels were made to assist us.
You know they don't understand why theLord loves us so much. But that's
a story for another time. Butthat even the angels in heaven are rejoicing
(55:00):
with you. If you have saidthat prayer, that you can be sealed
by the blood of Jesus. Well, I'm done with that. Rashima.
You you know you ran this one, so is anything else you I can't
say nothing. No, thank youso much guys for spending this time with
