what you talking me all the time. But you know what I'm saying,

(00:45):
Well, we're gonna keep it.Uh, we're gonna keep it godly here,
which that's me that's married. That'sthat's godly. Right, Yes,
all right, good good So look, uh you know we just come off
this this fire. Ay, myFCB family, we just came off this
fire retreat. I'm talking about fire. If you guys could see me,

(01:07):
you'd be like, brother Bruce, put the veil over your face because the
glow, the glory, the glowis just on you right now. You
have no idea With this retreat wewent on, I'm talking about three day
Look here, I'm gonna I've justgot to express this to you guys.
We did a three day you know, and you usually don't talk about this

(01:30):
because you know it's between you andthe Lord. But I just want to
share this with my family because Ineed to know. I need to let
you guys know the faith that wasput into this, and you know,
not the belief, but the faiththat was put into this. So we
was on this three day retreat, and on this three day retreat, we
had to fast. Now we've donelike some fast before, you know,

(01:52):
like you know, sup fast anddang a fast, you know, but
never this one. And we dida fast of nothing, absolutely nothing.
I'm talking about no water, nofood, no potato chips, no,
no, no candy, no peppermint, nothing nothing. No. Listen,

(02:17):
you know I have to take medicinesometimes, Uh, no medicine. Nothing.
The glory, the glory of theLord was in this place. So
what we want to speak to youguys about is the difference between faith and
belief. It's faith and belief.It's it's it's not they're not the same.

(02:42):
That they're not the same. Sowe we're gonna we just want to
sit back for this hour on thehour glass and and talk to you guys
on you know, what we well, how we feel and the and the
uh experience that we've had and thatwe witnessed between faith and belief. You
know. So, uh, mydarling, why don't you hit us off

(03:02):
of something real quick, or Ican go ahead and split the bar.
You know I can do that, right, No, No, I got
it. I got it, Okay, all right, So I'm just gonna
go with the definition. So faithis defined as the strong trust or confidence
in something or someone. A beliefis defined as a state or habit of

(03:23):
mind in which trust or confidence isplaced in some person or thing. All
right, well listen, what Igot. Belief is opinion or judgment in
which a person is fully persuaded, you know. And then uh, I
believe faith if I can find it, it says, uh, let me

(03:46):
see. It is confidence. It'sthe trust that is based on a knowledge
or past experience. But you know, I don't. I don't think that's
gives faith justice bliblically. You knowthat don't give faith, uh blblically justice.
You know, faith is and theBible says, my faith is the

(04:08):
you know, the confidence is whatwe hope for, an assurance about what
we don't see. You know, that's what faith is, what what you.
You know what I'm saying that whatwhat do you think? That's what
faith? You think? I right? So you know us talking about faith,
any experiences that you may have had, Well, let's go here.

(04:33):
You know, there's a lot ofa lot of things that we're seeing that's
happening in the world with current eventsthat kind of will shake your faith.
It will it was it will shakeyou that you'd be like, oh,
man, I don't know what we'regonna do here. You know, so

(04:54):
what what's what's what's your what's yourwhat's your your take on that? Well?
My, my, my thoughts betweenfaith and belief are for faith usually
well, one you have to seesomething to have it, and one you
don't. So from from my faith, you don't. You don't have to

(05:15):
see things to have faith. Idon't have to see that I'm going to
be wealthy to to realize that dreamone day, but I do have to
believe that I'm gonna do it.Okay, but be like this, all
right, you know you don't haveto have faith, but you know,

(05:36):
don't you want a little taste ofsomething? You know? I can can?
I can I get at least acouple of thous and at least I
know i'mboute my way. I mean, you know that, you know.
So is that belief or is thatfaith? You know? Because I think

(05:56):
is this? You know? AndI still kind of struggle with it,
you know, even me being aminister. You know, like I tell
you guys, you know it's notbeneath me. I'm transparent. You know,
sometimes I'd be like, I don'tI don't know if that's gonna work,
although you know, just all right, So like for instance, you
see everybody I'm talking about, everybodygetting blessed and you ain't h what does

(06:26):
that do to your faith? Youknow? Did you start the questioning a
little bit? Hey? You knowain't God? I see? You know
you just gave you this person this, You gave this person that you know
we'll hold up? Are we comefrom? You know? These my people
too? Where's lies? Well?It can it can cause your faith to
increase, but you also have tobelieve. I think faith and beliefs are

(06:50):
very closely related. Although they're different. I think they're very close. To
me, you have to have oneto have the other. M you know,
you have to believe something is goingto come, because that's that's what
that's how your faith is built?Am I making sense? Yeah? Absolutely?

(07:12):
Absolutely. But the thing about thatis, you know, it's a
lot of times you get shot downfor what you want and you and you
having faith that this is gonna cometo pass, but you still get shot
down. What what what do youdo with that? How do you hold
on to the faith if whatever timeyou're getting shot down or what you're believing

(07:38):
is not coming to pass? Wouldthat be in belief or is that faith?
You know? But the thing aboutthat is unbelief holds us back.
I mean, unbelief holds us back, not the lack of faith, right
right? What the man say toJesus? He said, hey, you

(08:01):
know, I'm just paraphrasing. Youknow. He's like, hey man,
you know do you say, well, you know you want me to you
know what you want me to do? You know what's what's going on?
He said, Yeah, you know, I believe, but help my unbelief.
So you have the faith, butyou but you still have that that

(08:24):
tad tip bit of unbelief. Soit says the flesh is weak, but
the spirit is strong. Right,So you have your flesh, you still
have your fleshy side, but we'retold, we're told in the Bible that
we just need faith is small asa mustard seed. Okay, here,

(08:45):
let's go there. Okay, faithas a mustard seed. Right now.
I was ministering to this young brotherat the job and we were talking and
he was like, Bruce, Idon't know, man, if I would
be able to do this. Isaid, brother, I said like that,

(09:07):
and I held up to his shoulder. I said, brother, you
guess lead the faith of a mustardseed. And he said, that's it.
I said, brother, I'm tellingyou, so this is what I
did. I said, I'm gonnashow you an illustration. I said I
would have it tomorrow. So Iwent to the store and got a box

(09:31):
of them nerd candies, and Iwent and got some mustard seed. And
when I went to him the nextday, I said, look, brother,
here, I want to show youthis. So I put the piece
of nerd candy on the table right, and then I put the mustard seed
on the table. I said, man, the only thing you need is

(09:54):
that much faith. And he wasjust astonished because he was like, man,
that's smaller than the piece of everycandy. I'm like, I'm h
it is ain't it? So whereare we? And I just I want
everybody to think about this, thosewho are listening, I want everyone to

(10:15):
think of this. If you knowwhat the size of a mustard seed is,
and Jesus said, that's all youhave to have, is that much
faith? Where are we? Whatare we doing? Why? Why?
What is it that he said?He said, you have a faith of
a mustard seed. You move mountains, You move mountains? Right, I've

(10:41):
tried to move mountains. I don'tknow how many times that I see wasn't
move yet? Did you believe thatthe mountains gonna move? But you know
what, that's what I'm saying. My faith was really smaller than the mustard
seed. Then well maybe your faithwas in the right spot, but your
belief wasn't. Who that's good.I believe you need one, Like I
said, I believe you need onewithout the I think you need one and

(11:05):
the other. I think you needboth. You can have all. You
can have faith, but you haveto believe. You know, the Word
tells us when you pray, youpray in faith, but you have to
believe that the prayer is going tobe answered, righty man? Guess so
I think they work together. Butyou know what it's but we are in
a time where we're still struggling. You know, we're looking for something and

(11:31):
we're not getting it. And thentoo, I think the only the only
big difference I see between faith andbelief is your faith. Why it may
go, you know, it mayincrease or it may decrease. For the
most part, your faith doesn't change. Your belief can change every day because

(11:54):
your belief is a strong opinion, something that you just you just believe,
and that's just that's just ingrained inyou from you know, past experience or
whatever. But that can change everyday depending on what your life looks like.
Okay, but then again, whatyou believe is what you believe.
What if that? What if that? You know, that doesn't change your

(12:18):
mindset of your faith, right, you know, So what's the answer to
the difference between So if you know, I believe, I can fly,
but I ain't gonna jump off theoff the things. It's this true,

(12:39):
right Okay. So here's here's apoint I have. Okay, faith includes
our beliefs, but it's bigger becausefaith requires action. You know, I
have the same thing, and Iagree because the word says faith without works
is dead. You know, yougot to work this faith just why you

(13:03):
know, let me share this whenhey, guys, when we were doing
this retreat and I heard the spiritof the Lord say, you know,
you got to bring your faith up. Bring your faith up a little more,
you know, you know, becausethe Bible says, you know,
he gives us a measure of faith. So we start out the gate with
some kind of faith that whether weuse it, and that's I believe,

(13:26):
um, the big part of it, whether we use first of all,
what he even gave us as ameasure of faith, whether it's big or
small. You know, it didn'tsay how you know, you know,
if everybody got the same out thegate or whatever, but as a measure
of faith, yes you have youknow, yeah you know. And I'm
a whope. I ain't telling myage on this. But it was a

(13:50):
movie that I used to love tosee. It was back in the day.
It was called um, Fright Night, and it was like I don't
even remember, you'll remember Fright Night. Yeah, And this kid Brewster,
uh you know, they was inthis house and some his next door neighbors
moved in and they were like vampiresand stuff, right, and uh,

(14:13):
it was this one guy, thisshow he used to watch, and he
used to have a cross, youknow, and he'd be like, you
know, I get rid of thedevils than the demons. Just that another
all right, make a long storyshort. At you know, they found
out that he was a vampire. And every time the vampire would go up
against uh, the guy that hadthe show, he would raise this cross

(14:35):
up at him and the vampire wouldlook at him and started laughing and tell
him, you have to have faithfor that to work on me. So,
you know, even even even thedemons, no, you have to
have faith before you could even cometo them. You see what I'm saying.

(14:58):
Yes, yes, So that's whereI believe, you know, the
Lord wants us to be. Yeah, because you have to have faith that
God is gonna do what he sayhe gonna do, you know, and
and that faith comes from in hisword. Yes, you know a lot

(15:20):
of them, you know, andeven even myself. Let me be transparent.
You know, I want stuff andI'm like, yeah, you know,
you know I want to get this, and the Lord gonna give it
to me because I got faith. And but did I put the work right?
Yeah? Did I put the workin and am I even after our

(15:43):
acts, am I even out ofthe way to let him do what he
gonna do. You know, hetells you you know my time and it
your time, man, just becauseyou know, you know, you say
you got this faith, little man, but you know, are you?
Are you? You out of theway? You know a lot of times,

(16:03):
you know we have the faith andwe need to keep the faith.
Well, we need to know thatGod's going to do it in his time.
And going into what you just saidabout when you're believing for God,
believing God's gonna do something in yourlife and you're believing that He's going to
bring these blessings, um, faithrequires you to get yourself in position to

(16:26):
receive the blessings. So by faithyou have to move and prepare. You
know, if you're believing God foryou know, whatever it is a new
home, for example, by faith, you should be saving your money,
managing your finances, paying your debtsdown, driving around looking at houses.

(16:49):
You know, by faith there aresome there are some things you have to
do to prepare because even though you'rebelieving, it's not like he's gonna He's
not gonna drop a house down fromthe sky on this empty plot of land
and say go there. You know, there's a process into purchasing a home.
And I've heard people say, youknow, I'm believing God's gonna give

(17:11):
us a house, and I've askedthem, what have you done to get
the house? Nothing? Well, how can he give it to? You
know, you haven't prepared. Byfaith, you should be moving. Don't
wait until the house is ready,is up for sale to say, oh
yeah, now I gotta start gettingmy stuff together. I gotta check my
bank account. That's not No.By faith, you should be preparing.

(17:34):
Okay, well here, let's let'stry this off size. Then when God
told Abraham go to this land, and you know, I'll let you know
what's happening when you get there.I'm paraphrasing, right, Okay, me
today, the Lord say Bruce,go to this house and look at it.

(17:56):
I go to the look at thishouse. I ain't got it?
So where are we at? Byfaith? Abraham went? By faith?
You went, yeah, and inguy's time, God will manifest it.
Okay. When all right? Allright, no ask that we don't know.

(18:18):
We don't know the hour, thetime. Okay, but you know
what is it? What is itthat you think that hinders us from the
manifestations of our faith being being fulfilled? I can answer that real easy.

(18:44):
Please do um. What I believemost of the time keeps us from seeing
um the blessings that God has promisedus is one our impatience and two because
we're holding a supernatural God to ournatural time. Man, I'll take that
plate now, you know what Imean? Because God is supernatural, right,

(19:11):
his timing is his timing, andthere's no way our natural minds can
understand what he's doing, how he'sdoing and in most cases we don't even
know why he's doing it, youknow, why He's chosen to even bless
us like he has. But wedo things, you know, we get
a word, or we have adream or whatever whatever. Howeverred comes to
us and we say, okay,I'm believing God for this. But then

(19:33):
we get into our minds how it'ssupposed to work, how it's supposed to
look, where it's supposed to be, and anything contradictory to that. Our
face starts dropping and we start saying, well, maybe that's not what I
heard, or you know, westart questioning what we heard, or you
know, maybe that's not what hereally wants for me. You know,

(19:55):
if you have to stay in position, can't go to the left or the
right, and then you know andjust and keep expecting things to happen,
because when you get out of position, you actually reset yourself for what God
is trying to do, you know. So you have to if you say
you believe you have faith, youhave to stand that place of faith.

(20:19):
And you can't say, well,I thought I was going to get this
house. Is six months later,I still don't have it. So he
must not have a house for me. Maybe it's just not his timing yet,
because his timing is not And thisis what a lot of folks get
frustrated in their faith. God isnot accountable to you. You're accountable to

(20:41):
God, so his timing does nothave to work for you. Okay,
okay, and that's that's good. That's good. So do you think our
prayer life or what we're asking forlines up with our faith? You follow?

(21:02):
What I mean? What do you? What do you you know?
Because sometimes we can pray for somethingand it just be really not realistically that
we should be having. Well,I think that's a I think that's a
personal question. That everybody has toanswer on their own like yeah, I
think, well, no, thatain't true. Okay, let's let's for

(21:22):
example, you know me right, yeah right, you don't mean right.
And I say to you, Isay to you, Roshima, I got
five numbers. I'm going to goplay this a lotto. I believe I'm
about to hit this bill. Ibelieve it. I'm going there with faith

(21:48):
that the Lord is about to giveme this money because this is what I
want to do for the kingdom.Okay, for the kingdom. Seek you
first. I would tell you firstnot to waste your money. Okay,
I've got all his righteousness. Okay, and look we you know we always

(22:10):
hear people say, you know, the Lord knows my heart. The Lord
knows my heart. You know.I just sidebar. You know you need
to be careful when you tell peoplethe Lord knows your heart. I'm gonna
tell you why, because he doesknow your heart, and he said he
gonna judge you by it, soyou need to be he knows your heart
better than you do. So justa sidebar, y'all be careful when you

(22:32):
say that. But anyway, theLord knows my heart. I want to
use this money to lift up thekingdom. This be this, if this
be thy will, I want toget this money because you know I want
this money to do this, right. But I know in the back of
my mind, I know I wantthis two thousand and twenty three avalanche that's

(23:00):
coming out. I want to bein preparation for it. So what's your
question exactly what I'm asking for?Does that hinder the faith or is that
just something that's just not realistically thatGod want because he you know people,
well hold on because people can tiethat in with faith, because you know

(23:22):
this is what I want. SoI'm having faith that this is what I
should be I should you know, hey, he said if I delight myself
and him, he would give methe desires of our heart. Right.
I have faith that the Lord knowsthat, don't cut me off. The
Lord knows that this is what Iwant, right right, Okay, let's

(23:42):
go go ahead. Okay. Butand asking God for things, um,
there's never I would never say there'ssomething wrong with asking God for for what
you want, for the desires ofyour heart. But he would give you
what line up with his will. You said that, and you when you

(24:03):
first started talking that if it linesup with his will, he'll answer.
So Matthew twenty five and forty ofverse he said, and the King said,
I surely I say, unto theeas you have done up to the
least of these, my brethren, you have also done unto me. I
think we went through this before. And I said, this verse is for

(24:26):
the people of Christ. This isfor the Christians. And then in Proverbs
nineteen and the seventeen verse when hesays, you know, if you have
done gave on to the poor,I will you know, get back to
you, you know, just paraphrasehim. So, if I'm praying for
this money to do this, whichis his will, I'm having faith that

(24:49):
this is going to come to pass. Does not so. But if you're
if you're praying and asking God fora way to do his will, can
you tell him how to bless you? No? Okay, So, so
if you're saying, but I havefaith, and I understand that, But

(25:14):
you also said you're you're you're puttingin a way to get funds because you
want to do something you know inthe kingdom. Yes, I believe.
If I'm seeking God for his will, I'm not gonna limit God to what
I think is possible a man.Okay, that's good, that's good.

(25:38):
You know, I'm gonna pray todo his will and however he manifests that
in my life to be able todo it, that's what I'm thanking him
for. Okay, Okay, allright, that's that's okay. Yeah.
You so I shouldn't think about thefive numbers. Ain't going now? No,

(26:04):
I don't. I don't believe inplaying numbers anyway. You know that.
But but um, but no,I don't. I don't think that's
how you. I don't think youshould ever go to God and you know,
tell him how to bless you ortell him how things are going to
work, because at the end ofthe day, it's it's up to him,

(26:27):
right, yes, it's up tohim how everything works. And you're
talking about doing work in the kingdom? Whose kingdom is it? So how
do you tell? And it's likeyou go into somebody's house telling them,
you know, I only want tosit on this couch, and I only
want to use that restroom, andI only want to you know, I
want to put my car in thisspot on the driveway. You know,
how do you do that? Okay? So but you know it says,

(26:52):
the wealth of the wicked is storedup for the righteous. Is the you
know plan numbers can be kind ofwicked. It's stored up for me,
for the righteous. Why can't Iget this number? I think if you
spend more time focusing on God,the the wealth or the money that you're

(27:15):
seeking will come. Amen. Amen. But you know, it says,
I believe it's in James won six. It says, but when you ask,
you must believe in, not doubt, because the one who doubts is
like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. And
you know, I just want tospeak to the audience, and you know,

(27:41):
I you know, I joke andI come with the scriptures. But
I use these scriptures because some peopletake these scriptures out of contents when it
comes to God's word. And that'swhy I throw them out there like that.
It's not that I'm believing, youknow that I'm supposed to, you
know, deviate from what God says. But you know a lot of people

(28:03):
um think this way and they thinkthat scriptures mean this, and they don't
you know, but the but whenit comes to the to the Lord,
you know, it says it's impossibleto please God without faith. It's impossible.
So you know, we talk aboutthis and it's a it's a serious

(28:26):
matter because he wants you to believein him. You know, he wants
you to have faith in him becausehe knows what he say, Rehimer,
he said, I know the thoughtsand plans I have for you. He
say, you know you you knowthe thoughts and plans that you have for
yourself. This has nothing to dowith you, but you have to have

(28:47):
faith to believe that it will cometo path. Right. That's just like
when it came to Abraham and Sarahwith Isaac. You know they had to
have that faith. Yes, youknow, I mean, you know,
we was watching what the Bible storydoing, our doing our retreat. Just

(29:11):
imagine living in that time, Justa lad, Just imagine if we were
in the time of the Old Testamentright now. Woe to us how it
would be because it would just bea bad thing because our faith. I
mean you you couldn't, you couldn'trely I mean, like now you can

(29:33):
only rely on God, but backthen, just all you could rely on
was God. You know, youknow you burned a rama two and be
like, all right, Lord, let it do what it do. You
know, you know you get yourcouple of pigeons if that's all you had.
You know, you can use twoduve, but you need about five
pigeons to add up to this. You know what I'm saying. It's the

(29:56):
currency, you know. Yeah,I wanted to go ahead at a scripture
for what we were talking about. When I was saying, um, you
know, we have to pray andbelieve that it's gonna line up with God's
will. Um. So, Isaiahfifty five eleven says, so shall my
word be that goes forth from mymouth, It shall not return to me

(30:18):
void, but it shall accomplish whatI please, and it shall prosper in
a thing for which I sent itfor. You shall go out with joy
and be led out with peace. So you know it's going to be God's
will anyway. Hey man, Amen, Hey man. Well look guys,
we're going to just take a minuteto pause and gather ourselves together so I

(30:42):
can get my faith in line andI go and repent for you know,
doubting, and we will get backwith you guys in a few minutes.
Thank you for joining us. Thisis the hour Glass. It's the hour
Glass Radio Network. Welcome back,y'all. And the word of the Lord

(31:06):
says, and with our faith itis impossible to please him. For he
who comes to God must believe thathe is, and that he is a
rewarder of those who seek him.Trusting the Lord with all thy heart and
lean out on to their own understandingin all their ways, acknowledge him,
and he will make the path straight. So we're talking about faith, y'all.

(31:27):
We're talking about faith and having faithto know that what we ask for
will come to pass. So,you know, we talked about and we
joked about things like, you know, trying to get stuff, you know,
hitting the lottery and things like that. But on a serious note,
when we have issues, I meanserious issues like health issues and anxiety on

(31:55):
where that next meal gonna come from, or you know, how we gonna
get the things we need for ourkids, or you know how you know,
even taking care of our parents, you know, as they get older.
You know, right like before mydad transitioned, you know, it
was how are we going to maintainthis? Because now he's not walking anymore,

(32:16):
and you know, he's not feelinglike he can walk and we're trying
to get the doctors to help him, and you know, if he doesn't
have this certain type of medicaid orthis certain type of insurance, you know
he can't get this or you know, we're looking for situations or issues or
where we're trying to get ramps forthe for the house and you know the

(32:37):
insurance doesn't pay for that, butyou know you need this ramp because you
got to get him up the steps. Where's our faith at? What are
we doing? How are we leaningon God to make a way like we
always you know, we always hearthat cliche, He'll make a way out
of no way, and you know, but when it's not coming fast enough

(32:57):
for you, is that way stillcoming? Do you still have that faith
to believe that? So you know, let's let us touch base on that
and and know or what is itwe must do? How do we keep
the faith? How do we keepthe faith in our in our Lord too
to know that we are not displeasinghim through an abolitionist? You know,

(33:23):
what do you think how do wekeep the faith? That's a that's a
good question. You just kind ofspring out on me like that, Huh,
that's that fire that's that fire.Well, I mean when we when

(33:43):
we're talking about faith, we're usuallytalking about our spirituality, right, are
we? I am? I meanI usually am. It's not the only
thing I have faith in is God. So that's that's the perspective that I'm
answered that from. Okay, well, let me hear, let us hear.
So how do you keep a faith? I would say, um,

(34:09):
for one. For faith? Forme, two things. One, I
have to trust what I have faithin. If you have faith in God,
you trust God. If you trustthem, you just you keep believing,
right, that's how that's what youfeel. Yes, that's how I
feel. So that's right for you? Yes that might be right. That

(34:32):
works for me, Yeah, yeah, but you know, I hope it
works for other people. I hopeso too. But here, let's go
here to keep the faith? Itsays. It says faith and trust in
God can be developed by spending timein God's word, learning to trust God

(34:54):
in small things okay, like Isaid, yeah, and right and small
things, and listening to others testimonies. You know, that builds up your
faith because you you know, usuallyif you see people okay here like for
instance, you know, I workedfor the VA right, and I still

(35:15):
volunteer every once in a while withthe VARK Department, you know, that's
the Veterans Alcohol Recovery Department, youknow. And I see brothers come in
and out who struggled with this, you know, for which I think I've
made mentioned that I've struggled. SoI've seen the brothers, you know,
and how you know, how Icame out, and you know, and

(35:37):
having that faith in God that youknow this can happen, because I saw
other people's testimonies on how it happened. But what was it? Thursday?
I saw one of my brothers andI looked at It was first thing in
the morning, and I looked andthis brother had a continence over him that

(35:58):
was just remarkable to see. AndI said, Mike, And he looked
at me and said, hey,Miter Stragens. I said, what's man?
He's like. I was like,Mike, you look great man,
And he said, Bruce, Ibelieved. I kept the faith that God
would do it for me, andhe did. And that's one of the

(36:22):
strong even and I just want toshare this. Even if what you are
going through is not the same thingthat another person is going through, it
is the testimony that helps you whenyou see the other person, even though
it may not be the same situation. But it's the testimony that he gives

(36:43):
or that she gives to you, that letting you know that they kept the
faith knowing that God will provide, and he did that. He did that,
and that strengthens our faith. Youknow, that strengthens our faith,
especially in our darkest times, knowingthat we can because see, the enemy
is cunning, baffling and powerful. He wants to come to kill, steal

(37:07):
and destroy. He don't want youto get into the word because you know
it's a fake thing. Bishop,and I gotta I gotta say this.
Bishop Dorsey said this to me,He said it to all, He said
it to us. He said, the enemy is not coming for your stuff.
He don't want your car, hedon't want your money, he don't
want the house, he don't wantnone of that. What he wants to

(37:30):
take from you is your relationship withGod. He wants to steal that from
you. You know what it saysthe word this is cold too. He
said, the word is given andthe enemy comes to steal it immediately.
Yes, that's crazy. You knowwhat I'm saying you, look, you
had to you had the revival andyou you know, you're giving it up

(37:52):
and you know I did it wellso and you know, and you're doing
your thing right and you just leadthe revival and you got the word and
you go home and here come theenemy. Bam. Still it all that
you did gone. He wants tocome and take it immediately. But that's
when you got to hold That's whatthat's where your fight comes in. And

(38:15):
that's when you hold on to thefaith of all what you just heard,
all that you just heard, thetestimonies that were that went through you know
this is real, even you know, even you know we've heard testimonies mashima
um in Nigeria that you know, limbs grew back, people would be able

(38:37):
to see, you know, peoplegetting up walking and and this is what
you believe. Now, this issomething that you believe because another person has
said it to you. But thenthe faith, yes, it is your
faith strong enough to believe that. It's your faith strong enough to believe that.

(39:00):
That's where that's where the Lord wantsus to be, that your faith
is strong enough to believe. Youknow, Jesus went up through the time
like you know, do you believeI can do it? Yeah? All
right, then there, you know, and I mean, okay, higgo,

(39:22):
higgo. One what it says, you know, we believe by faith,
not by sight. Right when thecenturion soldier that that's the greatest story
I believe to me ever told, and his centurions soldier said to him,
you know, Jesus said, hey, bat you what you know? I'm
paraphrase, Hey, man, wouldyou want me to come to the house
and do it? And no?No, brother, You know, hey,

(39:44):
this is where I am. I'mI'm you know, I'm authority like
you. You know. I tellpeople to come, they come. I
tell people to go, they go. You know, hey, if you're
just sitting the word, you know, you ain't even gotta come to the
house just sitting the word. Jesusslike, man, Oh that great faith?
Have I ever see? That's fire? Therefore the church starts. We

(40:09):
need is an organ to answer thequestion, Lord help us, UM,
So how do we build up ourfaith? So that my other answer is
study and meditate on the word ofGod. UM, every time you read
and allow God to gain to giveyou a better understanding, UM of his

(40:34):
promises to you. UM. Howdo you build up your faith? You
know, don't get caught up inthe intellectual and the rationalization of UM.
The Bible. You know, theBible is not a textbook, you know,
it's it's a it's an instruction manual, and you should read it with
the prayer and the expectation that you'regoing to grow and get something out of

(40:57):
it every time you open it up, UM, And every time you read
it. You can read the samescripture over and over and over and get
different revelation every time you read it. And that that's how you build your
faith. You know, if youstart getting into how it doesn't make sense,
you know, and how it youknow spiritual doesn't make sense hardly.

(41:19):
Ever, Oh, don't look forthat, UM. You're looking to build
your faith. So you ask Godto help you build your faith. You
ask him, you know, youpray to him and ask him to increase
you and open you up so thatyou can increase in faith. But it
really starts to me, It startswith studying and meditating on the word of
God. And like Bruce said,Bruce said, you know, you do

(41:45):
growing faith when you witness other peoplebeing blessed. Because for some of us.
We need to see something to knowit's real. You know what else
I gotta say? So, yeah, study and meditate, and I just
plead with you to take the rationaland the intellectual out of it. And

(42:09):
once you remove those barriers, Ithink you'll be surprised at how much your
faith is grown and how much you'reopening up to what God is trying to
show you. Hey man, Soeven even if a word comes to you,

(42:30):
can you take that in faith? You know, we have many gifts
and the Body of Christ. Youknow, we had the prophets, you
know, every wants what every wants. In a while, a prophet to
come, you know, and said, yeah, I am the Man of
God. I am the Man ofGod, and I have a word for

(42:51):
you. And he gives you aword, and you take that word.
How do you build on that wordor their faith? Well that's kind of
a different subject to me, butokay, let's go there. So when
you get a word from a manof guy, from a prophet whomever,

(43:12):
however heat or a woman of God, however they're identified, it's not a
problem. Um. When you geta word, you should always take it
to God always and let Holy Spiritconfirm that word in your spirit, and
he'll also give you direction on whatto do with that word. Can you

(43:39):
believe everything everybody say? Though? When you get the word, well,
you have to lie Holy Spirit todiscern that for you, because some things
that come out of a prophet's moutharen't going to be unbelievable because like I
said, you know, once youput the intellectual into it, now you're
not gonna believe it because it's nothe workings of God aren't always believable or

(44:02):
realistic by our definition. So ifyou're sitting there intellectualizing everything a man and
a woman of God says, thenno, you're not going to believe everything,
because a lot of stuff they sayis unbelievable. But when you take
it to God and you ask him, you know, you ask Holy Spirit
to minister to you to bring thatword to your level, you know,

(44:24):
to where you can understand it andshow you know what to do with it,
because the Word always comes with instruction. Even if the man and woman
of God doesn't give you that instructionin that moment, you go to God
and He'll give you the instruction andthe clarity that you need to see that
word come to pass. Yeah,And I believe that. I believe that.

(44:49):
But you know, people are struggling. People are struggling. Yeah,
we know we struggle time to timeand we look again for for answers.

(45:10):
Is there any well, I meanthere there are many scriptures that you could
read. Well, what scriptures doyou think with comfort? Well, I
won't say that that's that Maybe that'stoo too deep right now, but you
know, it's what do you dowhen when you are when you're struggling with

(45:32):
your faith? Is it is itsafe to talk to somebody? You know?
Do do you do? You?Would you recommend? All right,
say you can't get to the pastorthe pastor busy, you know, so
you can't get to a member ofthe congregation. Is it still safe to
talk to someone on the matters ofhow you're feeling dealing with your faith?

(45:55):
Yes, you know, because it'swhat it says, a double minded man,
unstable in all those ways, youknow, and you don't want to
be tossed to and fro. Youknow, how do you keep how do
you keep that foundation of faith strongto fight another day? Well? I
think, um, like you said, there's always believers outside of church.

(46:19):
You know, there's always people thatyou can reach out to. You know,
the Bible tells us to seek wisecounsel. So there's always someone you
can um, you know, calltalk to UM, even if it means
you have to get on you know, a podcast or you know something just
to listen to someone, you know, you have to listen sometimes. I
think sometimes the different programs you canjust listen and get edified you know,

(46:45):
UM by an encouraging word UM,and that that works. You know for
me, I've I've done that andthat that's helped me out tremendously a man
man. And it says faith comesfrom hearing and hearing through the Word of
Christ. So we must stay inour word to stay strong in the faith.

(47:10):
Huh yes, and Luke twenty twothirty one thirty two says, and
the Lord says Simon, Simon,Indeed, Satan has asked for you that
he may sift you as weak, but I have prayed for you that your
faith should not fail, and whenyou have returned to me, strengthen your
brethren. And I like this scripturebecause it tells me, you know,

(47:34):
Satan is going to come for youto make you shift your faith and to
confuse you and have you kind oftossed to and fro like like he says,
sift you as weak. But Jesussays, even he's praying for you,
hey man, So you know thatthat, um, even when you
do shift a little bit, he'spraying for you, so you can always

(47:59):
return back and get back on track. So if you do find yourself losing
faith or shifting in faith, UM, I want you to be encouraged that
you can always go back and getyourself back um to where you were before
you got shifted or confused. Andyou can always talk to God about that
shifting that Satan has done because Jesusknew it was coming. He knew Satan

(48:23):
was coming for you, so he'sprobably you know I would I would venture
to say, you know, he'swaiting for you to come back anyway,
so you can always go back andget yourself back right. Yeah. And
you know that's up that that scriptright there is interesting because Peter Peter was

(48:44):
wolfing when he was doing that. You know, Jesus, you know I'm
your dude. You know I'm yourman. You know I got you know,
I would never do And he likedPeter Peter as Satan's the shift you
like weak, you know, doyou not understand? And see and we
and see I believe even for myself. You know, we have good days

(49:09):
and we and we have good timesand you know we we get to a
place where man, we love theLord. You know he heard my cry.
You know, I'm just full intoand I'm just full. You know,
I can't even eat no more.I just I just full off the
word. And then Satan comes andyou hit you and you square off in

(49:30):
your mouth, and all this faiththat you just had just was straight out
through. Don't well, you knowwhat I'm saying. We have to I
believe, we always have to tobring that faith up. We always have
to be aware that this dude iscommon still, yes, you know,

(49:52):
and I believe through word and throughprayer and through meditation that you know,
just anything your faith and and andyou know what, and he the Lord,
doesn't require a lot. You know, he'll tell you. You know
what he's saying, you know,uh, precept upon precept, precipapu,

(50:13):
precept, line upon line, lineupon line, here, a little lit
here, a little you know, because you can't you can't eat all all
that word and think you're gonna beokay, that's that's a lot to digest.
Yeah, you know, I rememberone pastor told me, you know,
you gotta you gotta take the wordlike uh, kyle E Graham.

(50:34):
You know, you gotta chew onit. You gotta chew on it,
gurgitate, chew on it because yougot to get it in you. You
know, that's just like having yourfaith with the full armor of God.
You know, put on the wholearmor, you know, standing there with
the with the sword, you know, the word of God, knowing and

(50:57):
faith that with all that you coulddo, you stand on His word.
That's what I believe will strengthen ourfaith and increase our faith. You know,
I believe that. That's my that'swhere I believe. I believe in
faith. If I do that,if we do that, we were victory

(51:20):
because we already won. We alreadyhave the victory. Hey man, Yeah,
we got the victory. So youknow, this faith walk is as
a as a walk that's daily.You know what I will Paul said,
I have to die in the fleshdaily. And with that being said,

(51:40):
I have to continue to bring myfaith up, you know, and I'm
gonna be transparent, you know, just like after the fast, you know,
I was, you know, afterthat Sunday, that Monday, you
know, I was on fire. You know, I went in to work
Tuesday, like you know, Idon't care what jump ever here now you
know, you know what I'm saying, I'm here what you want, you

(52:02):
know. But then you know whenthat when that kind of you know,
that reality kind of sits back inand you know, you get you know,
if you had had a couple ofmore cheeseburgers and that flesh back,
you know, you get back towho you are and you have to remember.
And that's what the thing about itis with that faith that we did

(52:24):
it. You you would never forgetif if you if you can tap in,
if you can tap into your faith, that's the that's the thing.
If you can tap into your faith, you will always remember. Okay,
Like you know, like I said, that Tuesday came, you know,
and I'm starting to here we go, I don't know what I'm gonna do

(52:45):
it. And then I had toremember, wait a minute, wait a
minute, Uh, you just didn'teat for three days. God had you.
This little mess right here is nothingright, that's that's them acting the
food. You just go ahead moveon out the way and do what you're
gonna do. That right there broughtmy faith up a little more. You

(53:06):
know, it brings your faith up. You know when when when you are
able I believe this, when youare able to give your testimony, that
increases your faith because you're hearing thegoodness of God and what he had done
for you. That lifts your faithup and you and you stand strong and

(53:29):
you can feel you know, youever watch uh dragon ball Z? Now
all right, I know some ofmy people out there to watch dragon ball
Z. But you know it's like, um, I forget my man's name,
but he would power up. Imean, he's just fire, you
know what I'm saying. And that'show you that's how you feel when the

(53:51):
goodness of God comes on you becauseyou remember he brings things to your remembrance
and faith. Remember when I washere with you and and you just starting
power up like for Jetah. That'swhere you just power up and you'd be
like ah and you just be onfire. You know what I'm saying,
right, And that's where I believethe Lord is pleased with us when we

(54:13):
can power up knowing that while we'reon fire, it's not because nothing of
us is, but as the faithwe have in our Lord that we got
this. You know you can't donothing with me. You know you can't
do nothing with me. I mean, it's the faith what it says.
You know, no weapon formed againstme shall prosper, and anybody to come

(54:35):
against me will be condemned. Youknow, that's how you look at That's
how your faith. You're okay, all right, this dude came at me
one time, but he can't dothat, no mobile, because he no
weapon. Sometimes and sometimes when you'rewhen you're challenge in your faith, it's
also a test. You know,it's a test from from an enemy.

(54:55):
But to get past that test isis also how you build up your faith,
because when you get past those tests, you're building up your faith passing
those tests and passing those challenges andovercoming and re up and in your in
your strength. So even when youdo come up against those those trying times

(55:17):
or the testings of your faith, don't get discouraged. Just keep pushing and
staying focused on God and what Godhas told you about you, and your
faith will grow. I agree.I agree, because it's it says,
it says this It says, beon guard and stand firm in the faith,
be courageous and be strong. Yeah, you know, don't don't be

(55:40):
you know, don't be a chumpwith this. You ain't got to be
a chump with your faith, right, you know, you can be strong
in this in this faith. Yes, all you have to do is ignited,
you know, right right, It'spart of the process and how we're
growing and getting closer to Him andgrowing in our our kingdom assignments and our

(56:00):
kingdom work. That we stayed youknow that we passed these tests and we
stand firm and our faith and weknow who we are. Yeah, I
agree, I agree, And that'sa beautiful thing. That's a beautiful thing.
So you know the faith walk.Well how about this, Well yeah,

(56:23):
we discussed that off and say, well, you know, how can
you help someone that's kind of weakin their faith? What do you suggest?
What what do you you know, what words do you have to give
to the person that maybe struggling withfaith? You know, when we struggling
with the you know, I don'thave the faith of a mustard seed.

(56:45):
Even well, I think a lotof folks are struggling, and I believe
that sometimes it is hard when you'relooking around and you're dealing with different circumstances
and you're looking around and things arejust not working out like you are expecting
them to or need them to.It's it does become a struggle to have
faith. And you know, youhear people like us, ministers like us

(57:07):
that say, you know, justkeep the faith. But that's the honest
to goodness truth. That's just youknow, that is what we are supposed
to do, because there are somethings that truly are just you know,
heals and valleys that we go through, um, that are just tests of
our faith, you know, tosee where we are in our belief.

(57:29):
UM. So I would encourage people, whoever they are to pray. You
know, a lot of times whenI feel like my faith is not where
it should be, I pray andI talk to God about faith, you
know, my faith and how Ineed to build up and get better and
do better. You know, youdon't there's nothing wrong with praying and talking

(57:52):
to God about where you are. That's actually we're supposed to be praying about
anyway. But prayer is an honestconversation. It's not like you're not telling
Gods he don't already know, youknow, but you have an honest conversation
and you come to him humbly andhonestly, and you say, Lord,
I'm just not where I need tobe. I'm not where I even want

(58:13):
to be. I might not evenbe where I was last week, you
know, help me get back there. And I would say, pray and
don't stop praying until it changes.Yeah. Yeah, that's good. That's
good. Well, you know we'reabout to we're wrapping this up soon.
So I just want to I justwant to send encouraging words to our listeners

(58:40):
that you know, if you prayto the heavenly Father and ask him to
strengthen your faith, he will doso. Romans five one. In the
second verse, it says, Therefore, since we have been made right in
God's sight by faith, we havepeace with God because of what Jesus Christ,
our Lord, has done for us. Because of our faith. Christ

(59:00):
has brought us into this place ofundeserved privilege where we now stand, and
we confidently and joyfully look forward tosharing God's glory. So we pray to
you, and we pray for you, guys that if you're struggling with the
faith, we will lift you upin prayer and ask the Father to help
