We're fighting until we get the victory. I'm just excited
to just really just to encourage God's people and all
people to just live, to just breathe and just trust

God that things are gonna work out, even though it
may be you may have a little rough patch right now,
but things are gonna get better and we're just gonna
keep on fighting and believing God for victory. So I'm

happen that way. And we being independent, we just really
trying to work an album, like David, trying to get

they're doing things different now, so you know, it's just
learning with the time, but it just kind of happened
that with every three years after three four years, but.

But I believe in my heart that gospel music is
still here and it's not going anywhere.

In God's word, just like the scripture says it won't return.

And I believe we still have a message to spread
the good news, the good news which is Jesus Christ.
So I just want to encourage us to just fight
on and to keep living the life, you know, be
in this world but not of the world.

Where we can win people, still win people to the
Kingdom of God. That's what it's all about for me,
is still winning souls for the Kingdom. So I feel
like it still exists, It's still needed. We still gonna

To me, Like my mom, I used to hear the
old people saying would why wouldn't the person want to
serve a god like this? Serving Jesus is the best

O. So what advice would you give to someone who's
wants to get into the Gosauga music industry, because now
you see a lot of secular artists trying, like what's
the word migraining over into the gospel music music aist?

What advice would you give to people?
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I would just say, we still just have to represent
our Savior, represent Jesus. And I mean just not say
I'm doing ministry, but actually we want to live the
life you said, we're the Scripture said we're the light
of the world.

We want we need to be the light it sets
up on the hill. That shows a difference.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Because I just feel like that people even because the
majority of the R and B or that side, the
majority of us then grew up in church.

All of us came from church.

So I mean, so it's in us because you know,
if it's it's been imparted into you. The scripture says
when you oh, you won't depart from it. So the
thing is is it's that remnents is still in there.
So I want them become and be able to give.
But I just still want us to be able to
give the whole light and not a confusing life of
you know, just light.

Darkness can't dwell together. We have to have a separation there.

So not that any of us are perfect, because we're
not perfect in any way, but we just still want
to just show and represent Jesus.

is that it just needs to be a difference in

you know, maybe even dance. I mean, I don't feel

like nothing's wrong with it. I just feel like we
just need to keep our message and keep our message strong.

So where did that dynamic come from? Because I see
you break out, you break out, Tiar, you break it,
ut David, Julia, you break it our Porsa. What did
the dynamic come from? Because I love the dynamic.

Well, we just actually we love our family. We love
our family and we love to be together. But like
like now on this particular Tea is still with me,
but the other two are not working with us anymore.
But I feel like it's kind of like the rocket booster,
you know, it's like you together, but sometimes you push
people to that limit, then everybody go and they do

their own things and spread their wings. So I feel
like the family dynamic is needed, it's well worth it.
I enjoyed it while we was going together and while
we're doing things together.

do their own thing, and I give them freedom and
liberty to go do what they need to do. And

it's important to us to having a production and not
just us feel like it's a Sunday night musical.

So what are your thoughts on the state of gospel
of the gospel music industry right now? Because you see
all these different people coming and doing their thing with
the gospel.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Music industry, you know what it has changed.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
But I believe in my heart that gospel music is
still here and it's not going anywhere.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
In God's word, just like the scripture says it won't return.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
And I believe we still have a message to spread
the good news, the good news which is Jesus Christ.
So I just want to encourage us to just fight
on and to keep living the life, you know, be
in this world but not of the world.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
To just bring a presentation.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Where we can win people, still win people to the
Kingdom of God. That's what it's all about for me,
is still winning souls for the Kingdom. So I feel
like it still exists, It's still needed. We still gonna
have to have it. I mean, we can't do this
thing without Jesus, can you?
Speaker 4 (07:32):
God? And I really don't even.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
To me, Like my mom, I used to hear the
old people saying would why wouldn't the person want to
serve a god like this? Serving Jesus is the best
thing I ever done, the best thing that happened to me.

O. So what advice would you give to someone who's
wants to get into the Gosauga music industry, because now
you see a lot of secular artists trying, like what's
the word migraining over into the gospel music music aist?
Like when we look at Kanye West and what what?
Speaker 4 (08:11):
What?

What advice would you give to people?
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I would just say, we still just have to represent
our Savior, represent Jesus. And I mean just not say
I'm doing ministry, but actually we want to live the
life you said, we're the Scripture said we're the light
of the world.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
We want we need to be the light it sets
up on the hill. That shows a difference.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Because I just feel like that people even because the
majority of the R and B or that side, the
majority of us then grew up in church.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
All of us came from church.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
So I mean, so it's in us because you know,
if it's it's been imparted into you. The scripture says
when you oh, you won't depart from it. So the
thing is is it's that remnents is still in there.
So I want them become and be able to give.
But I just still want us to be able to
give the whole light and not a confusing life of
you know, just light.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Darkness can't dwell together. We have to have a separation there.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
So not that any of us are perfect, because we're
not perfect in any way, but we just still want
to just show and represent Jesus.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
I just want to represent him and represent my father well.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
And to make him proud.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Yes, how so that they could could you know, you
could come and then for up and coming young people,
let's just live the life. Let's just live the life.
So you can see that there's a difference. My thing
is that it just needs to be a difference in
the two. So it's like, it's nothing wrong with some
music that make you, you know, Bob a little bit Bob,
you know, maybe even dance. I mean, I don't feel
(09:41):
like nothing's wrong with it. I just feel like we
just need to keep our message and keep our message strong.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Yes, So when y'all two, a y'all two is a family.
So where did that dynamic come from? Because I see
you break out, you break out, Tiar, you break it,
ut David, Julia, you break it our Porsa. What did
the dynamic come from? Because I love the dynamic.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Well, we just actually we love our family. We love
our family and we love to be together. But like
like now on this particular Tea is still with me,
but the other two are not working with us anymore.
But I feel like it's kind of like the rocket booster,
you know, it's like you together, but sometimes you push
people to that limit, then everybody go and they do
(10:24):
their own things and spread their wings. So I feel
like the family dynamic is needed, it's well worth it.
I enjoyed it while we was going together and while
we're doing things together.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
But sometimes I understand if someone needs to go and
do their own thing, and I give them freedom and
liberty to go do what they need to do. And
then just like me and Daddy, we know what I
call and what our purpose is. So we're still standing
and going in the direction that the Lord has led
us to go in.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
And they're doing what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
And even for other families that's coming up, it's like
that that point the time may come where they may
want to branch.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Out and do solo, create another group.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
So it's okay long as we just again, it's all
about that message, carrying the good news, the good news
of Jesus.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
That's all. That's what it's all about. For me.

I saw you at at the Porter's house a couple
where I saw you on line the Portes's house a
couple of weeks ago, and you made me join church again.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
I'm just put.

You said, yes, I saw you your lie. I said,
oh my god, what was that light? Because it's just
like the rum just shifted.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
It's everything just man, I don't know, Jay, I just
really when I go.

Tem of Man, when I before God, it's like really well,
when I pray and I asked God to just go
before me give me what to say to the people.

And you know, I'm just I'm just a church girl.

I really am, you know, raised Pentecostal, and it's just
in me. And it's like what's in me just comes
out and I'm just And I always call myself like
a gospel rock singer because you know, rock singers kind
of they squall and they they up there, they squall
and they loud too. So me, I'm just I know,

I'm I just, I'm just loud, and I just you know,
I just I just feel like.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
If the Lord just used me, I'm gonna come in
with just.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
A power punch, you do, just like, Yes, especially if
I'm coming before the word.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
I want to set that thing up so well whoever
is about to preach.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
It makes the way easy to you know, help destroy
yolks and break yolks before the word goes forth.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
To just get people.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Hearts and mind ready to receive the Word of God,
because that's an important part of it. The music is
great and good, it's a good setup, but we gotta get.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
That word in there.

Yes, And let me ask you this. I know, I
know this might this might be a scratch. Who are
your favorite gospel artists right now who you know and.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
I don't, but Tide Gabber, Todd Delaney, Tata Cobs. I
love to see her worship. I love her worship of
Nailmi Rain Wow.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
And you know it's just I love. I just I'm
I'm like.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
The I'm like old school church. I like everything. I
want to be able to worship. I want to be
able to praise. I want to be able to just
holler if I just want to holler glory. I just
I just want all the elements. So you know, I love,
I love, I love all my people, don't I'm We're
great supporters.

And that Jaquelin cars to me. She reminds me myself.

She reminded myself, and you know, just like to me
following in the steps of Shirtle.

Season, you know, I'm like, Lord, just give me longevity.

And still be able to come with high energy even
in our older age.

So my next question was, how a couple of years
ago you want a couple of years ago you want
a Grammy? And that was that was history breaking, that
was history making. How does it feel, you know, because
you have so many accolades, you have so many different
awards and some of the Lifetime Achievement awards, how does
it feel like?

It's a blessing and I'm honored to have the awards.
It's a great feeling, it really is. It feels really
special to win. It does, But I just I don't know.
I think I just haven't banked it all in that.
I mean, it's a it's a blessing, but because I
still feel just like regular town, you know, So I

don't because I try not to get so caught up
into all you know, and even walking in the room
and thinking everybody know you, because that's not the case.

You know all the time that people are gonna know
who you are. So I just.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Really try to keep myself in kind of a humble
place when it comes.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
To that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
It's like, I'm really happy, and I'm really grateful for it,
and I'm I'm really thankful for the support of the people,
and you know, when it comes to media and of
radio presence and things like that. I just I'm just
I feel really blessed, and I'm really thankful for all
the love and support, and I.

Just and I just want to make everybody.

Look I'm just want to make everybody proud too, just
like I want to make the Lord pray.

This new album hands on Me is one of my
favorite also forever it's one of my favorites. And then
you deserve to win because to me, those songs are
like encouragers. It's like when you feel like all us
feils and things are not happening.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
The hand of the Lord is on us.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
A lot of times, it's like when you think things
are gonna crash and burn, and it's like he just
opens up a window or our door open. I mean
the hand of the Lord, I believe in it's on
us and no man can pluck you out.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
I just want people to be encouraged with that. And
then you deserve to win. It's like I.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Got all the ups and downs in our lives and
heartaches and hardships that we've dealt with and dealing with.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
We deserve to win. It's like a lot of times
we feel.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Like, oh man, I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy of it.
But when you don't put your time in and you served,
and you've done what God has called you to do,
you deserve those things that He say you can get
the desires of your heart if you waste pleasing come on,
you know. So I just believe that to heart that
you too deserve to win. So it's protecting you. He's

covering you. He's covering you, he's with you, that he's
working for you. So not to quit, you know, it's
just like carry On is one of the songs on there. Lord,
I trust you. I mean, it's just it's so many
of them talking about the power of God, remembering that
we can stand because we are standing in here, you know,
and his headmanship, that He's in the head of our lives,

and that by his power, by his mighty spirit, said
the Lord, we can do anything. That all things are
working together for us. So I'm just all the songs
on there, y'all, I promise you, yes.
