Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Jeff Adams Show. Today
we approach a topic that requires humility, grace, and a
reminder of the power of repentance. Doctor Michael Brown, a
leader and teacher beloved by many, recently released a statement
addressing past allegations and offering a heartfelt apology. His response
is not just a lesson in leadership, but also a

(00:20):
profound reflection of Biblical wisdom. As Proverbs eighteen thirteen says,
to answer before listening that is folly and shame. We
live in a society quick to accuse and slow to listen.
Today we slow down, lean in, and truly hear doctor
Brown's statement. His transparency and humility are exemplary of what

(00:44):
we need more of in Christian leadership. Before diving into
his words, I want to take a moment to commend
doctor Brown not for being perfect none of us are,
but for walking a path of repentance and reconciliation in
a deeply vulnerable and public way. Doctor Brown began by

(01:04):
taking full ownership of his actions from over two decades ago.
He confessed to a moment of emotional weakness that hurt
those closest to him and asked for forgiveness not just
from those directly involved, but from the broader body of Christ.
His words, filled with accountability and remorse, remind us of
Luke twelve forty eight. To whom much is given, much

(01:25):
will be required. He also shared how, after confessing to
his wife and leadership in two thousand and two, he
sought counseling, made lifestyle changes, and leaned on the Lord's
discipline to restore his life and ministry. Doctor Brown's humility
in acknowledging both the depth of his error and the

(01:46):
power of God's forgiveness as a testament to his faith
and integrity. One particularly powerful part of his statement addressed
those he may have hurt. Unknowingly said, please forgive me
for my actions which caused you so much pain. I
am truly and deeply sorry. These words struck me. They

(02:09):
show a man willing to humble himself before God and others,
modeling the kind of vulnerability that many leaders shy away from.
In his reflection, doctor Brown reminds us that forgiveness is
not conditional. It is not something we earn, but something
given freely through Christ. As believers, we are called to
offer this same mercy. We have received. As Malachi O'Brien

(02:33):
shared during a recent conversation, if you want to receive mercy,
you've got to give mercy. What stands out is how
doctor Brown has entrusted his future ministry to both God
and his board, submitting to their oversight. This reminds me
of King David and Tewod Samuel twenty four, who refused
to offer the Lord something that cost him nothing. Doctor

(02:56):
Brown's willingness to embrace accountability and pay the price of
restoration is an act of worship and faithfulness. I encourage
everyone to listen to doctor Brown's full statement on his
YouTube channel and reflect on what we can learn from
his example. We often find ourselves quick to throw stones,

(03:18):
but today I challenge you to put them down. Let
us be a people who extend grace, just as we
have received grace through Christ. Doctor Brown's story is not
just one of repentance, but also one of hope. His
restoration reminds us of the Gospel's power to transform and

(03:39):
redeem even in our brokenness. Let us not be critics
tearing down, but a community lifting up, praying for doctor
Brown and everyone impacted by this situation. This is what
the body of Christ is called to look like in
twenty twenty four and beyond, not perfection, but vulnerable, repentance

(04:02):
and redemption. If you're holding onto hurt, shame, or condemnation,
I pray that today's conversation reminds you that Jesus has
paid for it all. His mercy is enough. On Monday,
Google announced that their quantum computing chip Willow, solved a
problem in five minutes that would take our best supercomputer

(04:24):
ten siptillion years. That's siptillion, folks, million, billion, trillion, quadrillion,
quintillion siptillion. That's so much time. Even the universe itself
is like, I'm out of here now. This quantum computer
uses one hundred and five cubits, which apparently unlocked the
mysteries of the universe or something. Here's the kicker, The

(04:47):
head of Google's quantum AI team said, these computations are
happening in parallel universes. Parallel universes. I didn't think we
need Spider Man No Way Home to understand quantum computing,
but here we are. The theory is that these cubits
exist in multiple states, simultaneously solving problems, not linearly, but

(05:08):
vertically across dimensions. Essentially, it's like your favorite nerdy uncle explained.
The computer thinks in what ifs across every possible reality.
Of course, the nerd world erupted into chaos, with astrophysicists
yelling that's not how it works. It's the ultimate geek fight.

(05:28):
Here's the part that gets me. Google's quantum chip can
answer life's toughest questions, and yet its first practical goal
is better batteries. Are you kidding me? We've unlocked the
secrets of the multiverse and we're aiming for seven hundred
miles on a single charge. Come on, somebody ask it

(05:49):
something important? Who let the dogs out? What's the best
pizza topping? What lit the match before the Big Bang?
Now let's pivot to something else that's blowing up Bible sales.
Did you know that while quantum computing is unraveling the universe,
more and more people are buying Bibles. I'm not kidding.
Bible sales are up twenty two percent this year, even

(06:11):
as the rest of the print world is flatlining. People
are going out to buy paper Bibles like it's nineteen
ninety five. Why the sudden surge? Simple? Nothing makes sense anymore.
Between quantum computers opening wormholes and experts arguing about everything.
People are desperately searching for something solid, something eternal. When

(06:32):
you're looking for answers that even Google's willow can't provide,
you turn to the ultimate source, God's word. And isn't
that ironic? While quantum physicists are scratching their heads trying
to figure out what holds the universe together, Hebrews one
to three already told us he sustains all things by
his powerful word. So here's my big takeaway for today.

(06:55):
As quantum computing launches us into the unknown, people are
realizing that the foundation they're standing on is shaky. The
world keeps changing at light speed, but some truths remain timeless.
Science can try to explain how the universe works, but
it still can't answer the big question who lit the match?

(07:16):
And that's why people are reaching for their Bibles. They
want something that doesn't change, something that gives meaning to
all this chaos. Let me leave you with this. Imagine
explaining to a quantum computer that while it's solving ten
septillion year problems, the rest of us are just trying
to figure out why our Wi Fi keeps dropping and
While the nerds are arguing about parallel universes, regular folks

(07:40):
are asking God, hey, can I just get through this week?
But here's the good news. We already have the answer
to life's biggest problems. It's not in cubits or parallel dimensions.
It's in a Savior who holds all things together even
when the world feels like it's falling apart. So as

(08:01):
the world spirals into complexity, let's return to simplicity. Love God,
love others, and maybe pick up a Bible while you're
at it. It might just be the grounding force you're
looking for. I hope you got Christmas shop and done.
I have not done any This has been the Jeff
Adams Show. Keep questioning, keep laughing, and always keep the faith.

(08:25):
See you next time.
