Speaker 1 (00:00):
The message of the Kingdom of Heaven. Ladies and gentlemen,
brothers and sisters, Welcome to today's episode of The Jeff
Adams Show. Today we're diving into the most transformative and
life giving message you will ever hear, the message of
the Kingdom of Heaven. This isn't just theology or some
far off promise. This is the heartbeat of God, the
(00:22):
foundation of everything we believe, and the invitation to live
a life of eternal purpose. Let me tell you something.
The Kingdom of Heaven is real, it's active, and it's
available to us right now. So grab your Bible, open
your heart, and let's dive in repentance, the starting point
(00:44):
of the Kingdom. Jesus himself began his ministry with these words,
repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand Matthew
four seventeen. The Kingdom starts with repentance. But let me
tell you what repentance is not. It's not just feeling
bad about your mistakes. No, repentance is a turning around,
a complete change of mind and direction. It's about surrendering
(01:09):
your will to God's will. Listen, we live in a
world where everyone wants to do their own thing, follow
their truth and live their best life. But Jesus says,
you've got to turn from that path and walk my way.
Why because his way leads to life, while the world's
way leads to destruction. Repentance isn't a burden, it's the
(01:33):
gateway into the kingdom. Jesus is the king of this kingdom. Friends.
The Kingdom of Heaven isn't just an abstract concept. It's
not a democracy, and it's not a philosophy. The Kingdom
of Heaven has a king, and his name is Jesus.
When Jesus came to this earth, he wasn't just teaching
about the kingdom. He was demonstrating it. Every time he
(01:55):
healed the sick, forgave sins, or raised the dead, he
was showing us what life under his rule looks like.
It's a life of freedom, restoration and power. And here's
the best news. This king is in distant or unreachable.
He's a king who stepped off his throne, put on flesh,
and died for you and me. Through his death and resurrection,
(02:20):
Jesus made a way for us to enter the kingdom
and become citizens of Heaven. The Kingdom is both now
and not yet. This is where it gets exciting, folks.
The Kingdom of Heaven is here and now, but it's
also a future promise. Let me explain. When Jesus said
the Kingdom is at hand, he meant it's accessible right now.
(02:40):
Every time you love your neighbor, forgive an enemy, or
pray for the sick, you are living out the values
of the Kingdom. But we also know the Kingdom isn't
fully realized yet. We still see pain, suffering, and injustice
in the world. That's why we're waiting for the day
when Jesus returns and the fullness of the Kingdom is established.
(03:02):
Revelation twenty one to four tells us he will wipe
every tear from their eyes. There will be no more
death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old
order of things has passed away. So don't lose hope.
What we see now is just a glimpse of the
glory that's coming. The Kingdom is for everyone. Now, let
(03:24):
me get personal with you. The Kingdom of Heaven is inclusive.
It's not just for the elite, the wealthy, or the religious.
It's for the broken, the loss, the overlooked, and the sinner.
Jesus said in Matthew eleven twenty eight, Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened, and I will
give you rest. The Kingdom is for you, no matter
(03:45):
who you are or where you've been. But and this
is important, you have to accept the invitation. You can't
just assume you're in because you're a good person. The
Kingdom requires surrender, faith and obedience. Listening right now, and
you're wondering, Jeff, how do I live as a citizen
of this kingdom. I'm so glad you asked. Jesus laid
(04:09):
it beautifully in the Sermon on the Mount. He said,
blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
Kingdom of Heaven Matthew five three. Being a citizen of
the Kingdom means living a life that reflects Kingdom values, humility, mercy, purity,
and peace making. It means loving your enemies, forgiving those
(04:31):
who hurt you, and putting others before yourself. It's not easy,
but here's the thing. God doesn't ask you to do
it on your own. The Holy Spirit empowers you to
live a Kingdom life. And here's the ultimate promise of
the Kingdom of Heaven. Eternal life with God. Jesus said
in John three point sixteen, for God so loved the
(04:53):
world that he gave his one and only son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
When you enter the Kingdom, you're not just signing up
for a better life here on earth. You're stepping into
a promise that stretches into eternity. No more pain, no
(05:13):
more sorrow, just perfect communion with God forever. So here's
my challenge to you today. Will you say yes to
the Kingdom of Heaven. If you've never surrendered your life
to Jesus, this is your moment. Don't wait for tomorrow
because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. And if you're already a believer,
(05:34):
ask yourself this, am I living as a true citizen
of the Kingdom? Am I reflecting the values of my king?
Let's be people who don't just talk about the Kingdom.
We live it out in our homes, our workplaces, and
our communities. That's the message of the Kingdom of Heaven. Friends,
It's a message of repentance, grace, power, and eternal hope.
(05:58):
If this resonated with you, you share this episode, send us
a message, and let's continue this conversation as we look
ahead to twenty twenty five. The Jeff Adams Show aims
to deepen its exploration of faith and community, with a
particular emphasis on understanding the Kingdom of God. One of
(06:19):
our core goals is to foster an inclusive dialogue that
encourages listeners to engage with the spiritual, personal, and societal
aspects of their faith journeys. We envision a platform that
not only addresses contemporary issues through the lens of biblical teachings,
but also provides practical insights on how to embody faith
(06:43):
in daily life. Topics might include the role of service
and building community, the intersection of faith and social justice,
and fostering inner faith discussions. By broadening the scope of
our conversations, we hope to cultivate a space where diverse
perspectives come together to inspire and uplift. In addition to
(07:06):
focusing on spiritual enrichment, we aim to diversify our content
by introducing new formats and series that cater to the
interests of our audience. We envision episodes that spotlight inspiring
stories of individuals living out their faith in innovative ways,
deep dives into scriptural texts and interviews with thought leaders
(07:29):
who challenge us to think critically about our beliefs. We
also plan to create interactive sessions such as Q and
A segments or live discussions to build a stronger sense
of community among listeners. Ultimately, our goal for twenty twenty
five is to solidify The Jeff Adams Show as a
(07:49):
trusted resource for spiritual growth, while remaining responsive to the
evolving needs of our audience and aligning our mission with
the teachings of the Kingdom of God SP
