Speaker 1 (00:00):
Who hey, let's just starty soprano and you're listening to
Jersey Boys Podcast. We host Dave Sturcio and the Urnchboys.
I mean, I can give a shit about the Cowboys
with New Jersey. These guys got bulls being Cowboys fans
in Jersey anyways, enjoy. Well, whatever.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What's going on Cowboys Nation? How is everybody doing out there?
It is Dave Stercio nationally. You no comedian Brett Earnston,
of course America's fan Theo Rinch.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Keith Earns back for another episode.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Of the Jersey Boys Podcast right here on Chop Sports
Media and of course wherever you get your podcasts. Brett Keith,
the Dallas Cowboys have shifted on down from their massive
number roster down to fifty three. We are here to
break some news and talk about it, and you know,
a lot of good, lot of bad.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
A lot of indifferent.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
There's a couple moves that I would have made and
wouldn't have made, and I'm sure we can go over that.
But anything jumping out at you, Keith, that happened within
the last couple of hours for the Cowboys, well.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Yeah, what you said, probably the most shocking was easy. Yeah.
And then obviously, you know, everyone who listens to the
show knows how I love Douce Fawn. Yeah, those those
two pretty much stood out to me. The actually, the
most shocking one out of all of them, believe it

(01:29):
or not, is we actually cut a draft choice the
seventh rounder, whatever the hell's name is.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
But yeah, so we actually not very it's not very
cowboy like.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
So basically admit to missing in the seventh round exactly
the cowboys. Uh, they made some significant cuts, but let's
go brat anything that's jumping out at you as far
as the top of the roster.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Now, you know, look, I didn't think Deuce would make it,
even though you know, I don't think we were utilizing
him the best we could. I mean, the guy's definitely
a weapon. Yeah, losing Izzy, but I know that they
kept the children's guy they liked, and I'm glad we
kept Houston and Shamar James. I'm glad they made the cuts.

(02:20):
So yeah, Conoi too, man.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, so the wide receiver thing was interesting because I
know a lot of people were banging on the desk
for Tray Shawn holding. They liked how he did it,
but we said it last week, and I've I've continued
to say it to a bunch of people. I'm like,
you know, you have nobody else but to blame, unfortunately,
Joe Milton and Will Greer for the departure of a
guy like holding. If you think this guy had a

(02:43):
ceiling and you think this guy was worth being on
the roster, we didn't get to see it. You know,
you can only see so much in practice than when
those live, live reps come around. You're not You're not
able to see it with bad quarterback play, and that
kind of happened last year too.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
With Trey Lance. There's no one, no one's gonna pick
him up.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I mean, he wasn't undrafted free agent, so.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah, not only that, if you look at him in college,
he was a journeyman, like he never stayed with the team.
He didn't have fantastic stats on any of the college
teams he was on. So there might be something there,
guys that we don't know. It's true, you know what
I'm saying. Yeah, but I think he's definitely going to
a practice squad because he does have an upside. We
know as far as the talent goes, right, So.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Yeah, no, I like the kids upside and then another one.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You know, we just watched the Cowboys beat up on
the Falcons for our first preseason win, and one of
the bigger catches and bigger moments of the day was
Jalen Brooks went on a nice diving catch. Looked great,
And now Jalen Brooks is on the outs, So Jalen
Brooks would no longer be with the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
So that's that's.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
One that kind of I raised my eyebrow because I
was like, well, you've been here and you possibly got
beat out by guys who haven't been here.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
It's just it's just a different vibe for Brooks as
he departs from Dallas. But again, he's a perfect candidate
to be brought back if they want. But from everything
I'm reading, it seems like he might be one guy
that piqued somebody's interest.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
So we'll see. But yeah, so we can go over it.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
The Dallas Cowboys keep two quarterbacks. We know who they are.
His name is Rayin Dakota Prescott. Dak Prescott and Joe
Milton will be your quarterbacks one and two. I guess
Will Greer will make his way probably to the practice
squad unless Keith you said it in pre you have
your eye on what I believe twelve other quarterbacks guys.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Here's that. This is from CBS Sports, the twelve quarterbacks
that were released, the top twelve, starting with number twelve,
Bailly ZAPPI, No, he's not. Well, now you got to remember,
it's a backup. Now, we don't expect them.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
It's a third stringer. It's a third stringer because.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
I know, but we know it could be a backup
as well. But I know, I know, we're I know
we're drinking the Joe the Joe juice again after Atlantic
Falcon game. But I'm just saying, okay, so Bailey's appy
John Woolford, I'm that Hendon Hooker who actually is from
Tennessee as well. I believe he was on the same

(05:13):
team as Milton.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yeah. The Lions at him.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Yeah, the DPR Dorian Thompson. Rob I thought, yeah, he
got he got released from the Eagles because he was
on the Browns. Then he went to the Eagles. Eagles
release from Kyle Trask. That's the guy you like, Brett
out of Florida. He's he was a second pick out
of Florida back in twenty twenty one for the Bucks
and he played behind Tom Brady and I.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Never forget that he was tom Brady's backup.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yeah, so he's available, Kyle McCord, Brett Rippon, who's not
now Easton Stick, the guy from the Falcons. He wasn't
that bad. I mean he okay, Yeah, I'm just saying
for a decent maybe backup Desmond Ritter for the c

(06:02):
Jake Bethard for the for the Jags. Number two Tommy DeVito,
and number one, believe.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
It or not, is no Snoop a loop bro.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
He got a Pro Bowl, so.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
You know it might be similar to more Yeah, I
mean I don't know. So, I mean those are those
are the twelve they're saying right there. So out of
all of them, I like, I like Zapp, I like
Trask and Stick, the Vito and Huntley, but whatever I.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Would, I would give a look at Snoopuntley just because
if he's you know, journeyman in the league, good mechanics,
decent legs, you know what I mean. Like, that's probably
the only guy would be a clown show coming to down.
I just it's another situation. No, it's nice that I'm
bringing it up.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
The reason I'm bringing it up, and I'm only bringing
it up, is because we know Dak is injury pro
and if if, if Joe Milton isn't who we thought
he was, we need to have somebody in camp, not camp,
but in practice now learning the system as the third quarterback.
We have to.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Can I be honest with you, there's a part of
me that kind of wishes Milton just shit the bed
the third game because it wouldn't. We don't know which
Milton will get.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
There was I think systematically, like you know, the offense,
like we had said, and we talked about it on
this show in particular, like the offense wasn't It wasn't
showing us much.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
It wasn't. There wasn't like razzle dazzle design plays or
anything like that.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
So who knows. I mean, you like Milton more than
I did originally, Keith, So it's like I still do. Yeah,
we know I like him too. I'm just saying like,
now we now know, we know what's in the chamber,
and we know what they allowed him to do in
the preseason, So like we if you gave him a
full playbook and Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens and I'm.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Thinking right there, buddy, it's like, imagine having those guys around.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I mean, and we won't know that knock on wood
unless something happens to Dak again this year. So you know,
interesting to say the least, but Dak Prescott will be riding.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Well. We just so the Milton that played that one
Patriots game. And also, I mean, because you know, the
unique consistency and those first two.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Games were just you know, they were bad. But then
the last game.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
You're like, okay, I mean, you know, hopefully Jak plays
the full season.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
That's all knock on wood.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
You know, the running back room concerns me a little.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
So the running back room is interesting because you had
mentioned that they finally departed with with duce Vaughan. Duce
Vaughan was a great feel good story, like he was
great at Kansas. You know, his dad's on the staff
like all that stuff. Everybody knows that, you know, knows
the story if you know, if you're a Cowboys fan.
But he did not make the cut this time around.
They used the old I got a shoulder injury for MafA,

(09:00):
They're gonna put him on the IR. I don't think
that's a look, they're allowed to do whatever they want.
You know, they don't have to show any diagnostic reports
to anybody. He's gonna be missing for the first four weeks,
if not more. They could put him on a longer term.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I are.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I think they're want to see him develop a little
bit more because we're watching him in preseason and we're like, Oh,
this guy's got some pop and he's also a bigger dude,
so he might be somebody to be wrecking with down
the line right now, not the case they do keep. Obviously,
we all knew the writing was on the wall with
Javonte Williams being RB one, considering that he didn't play

(09:33):
a down in preseason, so you would have to soon.
They're preserving him for something. The Miles Sanders making the
team right now with not a lot of juice behind
him kind of intrigues me, Like, and when I say intrigued,
goes to be like, oh, I'm really interested in this.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
It's like kind of makes me kind of scratch my head.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Because if I if anybody was gonna get cut out
of the veterans of the two, I thought Miles Sanders
was easily the one that said, like all right, we
tried it.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
It was cool preseason.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Experiment done, so you know, but here he is and
then obviously you round it out with Jaden Blue and
technically you have to consider Hunter Lipke one of our
running backs.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
He's a full back and that's something with Lepke. I mean,
I'm glad we kept him because he can also play
tight end. You know, there's a couple of things he
can do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so you know he's versatile. Uh,
because we kept three tight ends I think, right, we got.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yer is going to start maker and Brevin span Ford.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
So they got rid of Princeton Font who laid a
block the other night. We all kind of jumped all
over that and we're like, God, damn he laid the wood.
But yeah, so, uh, span Ford is on the team,
Font is not. They also got rid of Fairweather and Stevens. Yeah,
Stevens Jones, he's gone too. All these guys are subject
to come back.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
What's fun. I made like the dad joke of the
year on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I was like, well, if I like Fairweather, does that
make me a fair Weather fan?

Speaker 3 (10:58):
And I was like, I'm here all in that.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
I love like that. That's fantastic. I need more of
that from you.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Start.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah, listen, you know, I'm trying to learn from Brett.
I'm under the learning tree of comedy.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Yeah, I don't do those jokes.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
No, he doesn't do those jokes.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
But so I listen, I'm I'm I'm trying to follow
in Brett's footsteps.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Now.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I was on a I was on a series pilot
set the last two days. So I feel like I'm
like somewhat of an actor now. So you know, I'll
get my sad card eventually and then we'll go from there.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
And it was a movie and it's a show that
I was in the same.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Year, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
So you were a third baseman and you know, I
was hanging out with Maganelli today and it was it
was really funny, really real fun time. Jimmy Palumbo and
everybody beer League the series look out for that, all right.
So speaking to the wide receiver room, they only kept five.
I didn't expect them to keep keep six. They start
mingo on the IR. We talked about Tree Shahn Holden already,
we talked about Brooks already. It looks like all signs

(11:54):
are pointing to Ryan Florinoyd being able to kind of
get his feet wet officially on this on season, which
I'm excited about because he's been compared size wise and
the ability to get up and go get a ball
like it does Bryant. He could body you. He's got
some thickness to him. And obviously you have Ceedee Lamb,
George Pickens, Cavanti Turpin as your Swiss army knife. Jalen

(12:15):
Tolbert makes the team even though people are like, I
gotta trade this guy, but that's your five wide receivers
to start the season.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Anything like that.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
It's not bad.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
I mean, obviously we have CD and Pickens, which is
a great duo.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
But again, it's not bad. Man.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
I'm not I'm not mad at the receiver room.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
No, I mean neither Keith.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
You have any objections to the fact that guys like
Brooks and and you know, Mingo obviously is not a
non factor right now, but seems like it was kind
of status quos as far as what we're gonna do.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yeah, the only guy looking at the receivers I would
have I still question right now is Tolbert, But I
like everyone else, Yeah, it's for me.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
It seems like Tolbert, he's it's hard to get a
gauge on him, and he's been around for a while now,
so it's like you got Turpin who's going to be
working the slot and all jumping all over the place,
and then you also have Ceedee Lamb who plays the
slot a lot. So Tolbert's gonna serve as that outside receiver,
you know what I mean. So that's why if he's
not going to take the cover off anybody, but at

(13:14):
the same time, he's a body to be out there
to draw some coverage. It's not like you can go uncovered,
you know what I mean. So maybe that's why. And
he knows the system and he's got a familiarity with
Dak and you know, there's there's reasons behind it. May
that be the reason. I have no idea, but Talbert's
on this team. And then we've talked about the wide
receivers already. I mean, I'm sorry, the tight ends already.

(13:34):
Now the offensive lineman. We made a trade today with
the New Orleans Saints, which I found hilarious because you're
looking at a scene Richards, a scene Richards was the
guy that we traded away and not not only traded him,
so apparently he was about to get cut, right, But
then you realize like, oh, you might have to go
through waivers and allso other shit. So we find some

(13:55):
teams and we're like, all right, who needs to tackle?
Just give us something anything, you know whatever. We took
a a twenty twenty eight draft pick, like it's not
even twenty six or twenty seven around right twenty eight.
So I made the joke on online. I was like, well,
Steven's making that pick. It's like over years from now,
uh six or seventh one.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Of those things.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Yeah, yeah, it's like a it's a throwaway.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
I don't know though, man, because he he he wasn't.
He's a good backup, right, I mean, well that's so
online must be pretty look pretty healthy this year.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Yeah, So the emergence of Nate Thomas is what.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
They're excited about.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
So like he played his ass off all camp, training camp,
and into the preseason. Nate Thomas seems to be the
reason why I seen Richards was expendable because then you
look at the rest of them. Your starters, obviously you
have Cooper b b at center. Your left guard is
Tyler Booker, Your right guard is Tyler I mean, I'm sorry,
Tyler Brooker is your right guard.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Your left guard is Tyler Smith? Your left tackle?

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Right now, apparently Tyler Guyton is on his way back.
There's a chance that he plays Week one, they're saying,
so if he doesn't, that might be the role for
Nate Thomas. And of course right tackle is Terren Steele.
Backing all these guys up, you only have Cornelius and
Hoffman and TJ.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Bass those It's not a bad old line.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
It's really not.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And that's why, like, as much as you have trepidation
about the running back room, I feel like, going up
the gut with three you're gonna find some success, you know,
And I think they can get.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
To the second level as well.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
I'm not going very I was not that and I'm
being hard on the guy.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
He still could be great, But the only time I've
seen him in full contact, I'm not talking about half pads. Yeah,
shooting through the hole and everyone going, oh my god,
he's so fast. Jordan Blue ja Jaden Blue, He's so fast,
He's this, He's that all dude. He was getting he

(15:57):
I mean there were two good plays I saw he
had in that preseason Game one was he kind of
scampered and got like a nine yard and then that
that touchdown where he took on that linebacker one on
one and then still made it in. That was pretty.
But I meant everything else. I mean, I don't know
I meant, but I do like going with young rookies.
I do like going with with uh it's better. I'd

(16:20):
rather have him than Miles Sanders, best way to play it. Okay,
I still I told you, guys, and I'm saying this
again because I'm not I'm not afraid to. It really
is that I'm not impressed by a running back room
right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if by by
the end of the season, if it was it's looked
at as worse as it was, worse than it was

(16:40):
last year. When I look at this, you say worse,
you say worse as last year.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I know the standard has been shifted, you added an
extra game and like that, but but what's this guy
Ricodello had himself a fantastic second half of the year.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
No, no, no, but that's not the point. I'm just
saying the room in general, the room is a total Yeah,
and even Rico, I mean look, was he that great?
They let him go, But I'm just saying that we're not.
We're not this this room. I don't trust the dude.
From Jervonte Williams, I don't trust him at all. From
the Broncos, I know you were high on him.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I'm not high because he's still young.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Yeah, I know, but even like we brought up the
other day, he hasn't ran for a thousand yards. They're they're,
they're they're coveting him, like, oh he shouldn't be playing,
Oh he should? Who the fuck is this guy? And
I don't I don't mean that in the mean way,
but he still got something to prove. Yeah, it's like
what he's sitting on the sideline during preseason with Tony
dor SAIDs Jersey on It's like, are you fucking kidding me?

(17:39):
This guy is this guy? Isn't he? You know? Denver
let him go for nothing. It's like I want to
see him. I want to I don't. I'm sick of
this half pad stuff that they do all the time.
But that's my point. The only running backs I was
impressed with this pres in preseason was Musa.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
And Duce.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Van does at you and and look they did release
Moleigue Davis again, which I feel like they've been down
that road so many times.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
But he showed us a little.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Something something towards the backstretch of the preseason that was
cool to see.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Uh but yeah, listen, man, it's.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
It's definitely you can't you can't look at it, even
as as Brett so uh famously says it all the time,
you can't even look at it on paper and say like, oh,
you know, like you just can't write. So it's it's
The running back room is definitely a let's see it,
you know, just let's see what we got.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
It's unproven, it's young, You've got guys that look good
on paper. There's a lot of questions and uh, you know.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
I think what he was saying, no one looks good
on paper.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, this doesn't. I don't think this running back room
looks good on paper at all.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Talent wise, it does.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
I mean me, when you're looking at the speed and
and and you know, but it's still you don't know
until you're in a game. And it's just weird how
the Cowboys do their preseason. I mean again, you had Mahomes,
You had Mahomes starting in a three fourtun rise with everyone.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yes, I'm pretty sure Jamar Chase had like four touchdowns
in the free seas.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
You gotta have that, You got to have him in there.
But you know, it's it's something that we've always done.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
And well, you know what, the more the more we
talk about and the more the Mica thing drags out,
Like I think, I think Jerry is absolutely petrified to
lose anybody. I really do, Like, I like, just based
off he's like every time they bring that up, he's like, oh, well,
you know he wasn't available for four or five games
last year, Like, dude, we know you know what I mean, Like,
neither was your fucking franchise quarterback either. So let's not like,

(19:35):
let's pump the brakes on all these injuries and worries
and concerns. It's football, right, We're not trying. It's it's
not ballet right, as they say in pro wrestling, it
ain't ballet. So like you're gonna get hurt, you're gonna
get nicked up. Is it the chance and likelihood that
you lose one of your star players? Look around the league?
Did anybody drop this year of its superior significance maybe
I'm drawing a blank right now, but I can't think

(19:57):
of anybody that like, just.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Because look at us.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
Though we we lost over Shown in preseason. We lost
Romo one year in preseason, right.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
So PTSD like, I'm not again, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
You gotta you gotta, you gotta get the the kinks out.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
You know what I mean? But I agree, I don't want.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
I don't want to me as if I was coaching,
it would worry me that my first team is getting
burned on opening night against the Super Bowl champions.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
And the only thing.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
The only, the only thing I think we have working
for us, considering the fact that the first, yeah, the
first two games or division opponents.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Is whether they got work, whether they got work.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Or not in the preseason. I'm talking about the Eagles,
in the in the Giants, whether they got work. Like
it's still the first two weeks of the season. So
you're not getting the best like we're getting the Chiefs
on Thanksgiving. That's not good to me. If we got
the Chiefs on opening night or or the second week
of the year, I'd be like, you know what, we
got a shot here. I think we have a shot
to pick them off, but you're getting You're getting the

(20:58):
Eagles and the Giants fresh into their season two. So
I feel like if you're going to pick a team
off a good team, and I talk about the Giants,
which you know people are touting them to be a
little better, but the Eagles the champs, Like, this is.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
The time to do it.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
In my opinion, that's a really good question that that
that you didn't bring off. That I just thought of
though while you were talking, is what is the best
team that Dak has beaten on Thanksgiving? Like, what is
the best team we have beaten on Thanksgiving in a
long time?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
So so Thanksgiving has been very gracious to us. I
think the last there's been a couple of games where
it just got away from us, Like I believe it
was the Bills, and I believe we got our ass
kicked well you know what I mean, Like it just
it was a runaway train.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
We just got completely destroyed. And then.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
What the Bills, the Chargers, the Raiders, they all beat
the ship out of us. Yeah, that was that was
a p I frenzy. That was.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
But lately we've been getting We've been getting the Giants,
We've been getting the Skins. We'd be getting these teams
where are like we can beat these So this year, yeah,
it's a little bit more difficult.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
We'll go there, you go, Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs. It's all
the West.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
And it's not like they're traveling too far.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
We've got the Broncos on Thanksgiving in the past and
they've done nothing but beat us.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
I was at a Bronco win I think Thanksgiving. Yeah,
you know, you weren't. I'm pretty sure it was you weren't.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
You were not out of Thanksgiving win with the Broncos against.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Was that a Thanksgiving win against I know for a
fact against Seattle? Seattle sets?

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Yeah? All right, well whatever, anyway, I digress. We'll go
over more of the season schedule next week.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
We potentially, I think we have locked down our fourth
jersey boy for next week. Jesse Holly will be joining
us this the previous the year, walk through the games,
see what he thinks, because there's nobody that's more harsh
online for a guy that's so close to the team.
He is very straightforward when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
I mean it's just it's just honesty, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 2 (22:58):
And sometimes you need that you can't have everybody cupkick
in saying like little stretching like me, like saying like
how we're gonna win every game and they made all
the right moves and is that and other it's not
not realistic, all right? Carrying on with the team, going
over to the defensive side of the ball. The defensive
line is as follows in number order. Really obviously Michael Parsons,
Dante Fowler, Donovan I's aaku will be back. He's our

(23:21):
rookie defensive end. Brad had mentioned this very excited about
James Houston making the roster because he has He really
had a.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Guys where like you watch him and they instinctually you
you just saw him around the ball all the time, and.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
He was surrounded by winners.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
If I'm not mistaken, you know, he's had himself some
success before this, you know what I mean. So I
think him coming in there definitely gives us a little
bit of a beat on the defensive line. And then
of course Sam Williams returning from injury from last year.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
We didn't have him last year.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
It was like I think it was like this time
last year where we were like shit, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Like the.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
Parsons comes around. Okay, we have Parsons Kneeland, right, yeah,
but get there yeah yeah, and uh is Iraqi and
the Houston and Fowler. It's not bad, it's no, I'm
a little bit more confident.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
This is our deepest position on the death.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Depends our deepest position by far.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Yeah, And it's and it's a very good refreshing thing
when when that's the when that's the case, and you
everybody hopes and cross his fingers and hoping that you know,
Michael Parson's mom talks some ship to Jerry Jones the
other night.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
We want we want.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
That to be resolved, because if that is resolved, then
you take the unicorn known as Michael Parsons and you
can move him wherever the hell you want.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
I just still I still don't know how I mean
this is. I don't know how it gets resolved. I
just don't understand it. Everybody just for what he was
offered before and how it was turned down, and it's
like now we now he's got to go higher than
what he had before. And like I said, I don't
think he's worth it. No, we we don't. He might
have peaked already. Who knows.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah, I don't think about all that, but you know,
I listen.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
I think his work ethic and uh, you know, it
speaks for itself. I think he's a hard working dude.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
You know, he's not bother me about the whole thing.
He's acting like he's being disrespected. And they made him
an offer to make him the highest paid defensive.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Player guaranteed guaranteed money. So that's that's a big caveat.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
But I'm saying, you haven't been disrespected, you know, like.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
How I think everybody knows. The hold up is it's
it's Jerry and the agent. There's nothing to do with
Micah now.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
But you know, Jerry's offer seemed pretty generous. I mean, now,
one hundred and forty five million guaranteed.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Well, now that years well, now that you know, unfortunately,
now that the rest of the deals have gone in
his position, now you got to you gotta change in numbers.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
You have to. It's just you don't trade him.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Saying if you want, you're not going to trade Michael
Parsons right now, you can't.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Then you hang on to him to the end of
the year, fine.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
And then trade them for a draft pick.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
That's that that somebody finished four and twelve, four and
thirteen and have a fourth overall pick, go for it,
go nuts.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Can't do it now, can't do it now?

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Why can't you do it now? I don't understand that.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Because why would you Why would you trade him away
right now, right to a potential for one NFC contender
possibly you know apparently.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
The pack Forget that, But I mean you're getting go.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
Ahead getting what though.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
That's the thing. You could get first round. You can
get things for Michael Parker.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
I understand that, but it's more it's more valuable when
you know where you're picking that, you know what I mean,
Like if you get if you if you get the
first round pick for the Bills next year, that could
be picked thirty two, it should be.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
But you could get numerous I'm not just talking about one.
I'm talking about a package deal.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
But technically, if you think about it, if the team
is good and they're always in contention, it's not like
the Bills aren't going to fall from AFC championship down
to the last place in the ANFC East.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
Bastically, It's true, you get more leverage when we when
they're like right now, we don't we don't know, we
won't get the best deal for him.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
And it's great. It's pretty simple.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
He's under he's under the Cowboys contract for this year
and then could tag them and then could tag.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Them so three years.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Jerry's made that perfectly clear to every interview that he's done.
There's no there's no if ant buts about it. He's
not trading Michael Parsons. He's not doing that. Imagine doing
that in the same year that the Dallas Mavericks traded
the way Luca.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
It's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
He doesn't want to be that big of a public
enemy number one where he trades away one of the
better players in the NFL just not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
But in Jerry's defense, he made him a generous office.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Absolutely, absolutely, and now right it was agreed.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
Yeah, and everybody's uh, you know now now they're chiming
in is I don't want to be here anymore that
I feel disrespected, you know, Like you said, his mom
was getting it, was chiming in on it.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
That was mom.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Well, that's the thing that his mom met Jerry in
the tunnel and he saw the Jersey and I think
somebody's like, hey, this is Michael Parson's mother, and he's
like like Jerry's making a joke with her, like, oh,
I heard you want some more money. Like if I'm
anybody else, how the fuck can you say that to
anybody right now?

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Like how can you joke about this ship? Well, all
of us fans are ripping our hair out, wondering what
the fuck is gonna happen?

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Like we're fans, correct.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Okay, that's the business that is different.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
It's the same thing in Hollywood.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
You know, you know, you'll meet some star and think,
you know, it's it's a business to them, it's not,
you know, it's it's what they do the biggest's talent
for I don't know how long they've been making these deals,
and uh, you know, I just wish you'd just get
it would get resolved.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Well, like you said, I'm not sure if there's a
resolution coming anytime soon. And if it doesn't, they can
readdress this next year to believe it or not, like
we had this situation already. Dak Prescott, remember he played
on his on his franchise tag, so he played a
whole season out bet on himself and then he actually
went the free agency like he could signed anywhere he
wanted to before he signed a new deal. So we've

(29:05):
been down this road before where there's control, control, control,
and then there's not.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
You want to listen.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
If you want to talk about letting him go three
years from now by not paying him, Hey listen, dude,
goodbye that back situation.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Though they let Dak know that right before. They were like, hey,
we're gonna you're gonna play this year out. We're going
to see if we're going to keep it or not.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
That's with you, and that's what I think.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
But right now there was no contract offered like with Micah. Correct.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
I think that's a significant difference.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yes, the significant difference is that there has been an
offer on the table and whether he accepts.

Speaker 5 (29:37):
Ideally, I would love Micah to get his money. I
would love for him to sign. I'd love for him
to be a cowboy, and I'd love for everybody to
be happy. But we got to get this think done
before the season, or I mean to me personally, we're
looking mid anyways.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Well, right now what it's looking like is even if
he's ready to go and signs his deal tomorrows he
only has a week to really get game speed up,
so are we already alimited?

Speaker 4 (30:00):
He'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
I think he will be too, because it's not like
he's sitting around with his thumb up his ass. But anyway,
the bigger concern for me was defensive tackle, the nose
tackle with one tech, three tech, whatever tech you want
to talk about. The defensive tackle position has been, you know,
on bugaboo, but that has been the bugaboo. It's like
right up the gut, can't stop the run for shit.
So now you have guys like Mazie Smith still in

(30:22):
the team, did not get cut. A lot of people
were calling for that guy's head. He lost all this weight, right,
and now he's being pushed around, So like, I don't
know if we're losing all that weight? Was so smart,
but I digress. And then of course you have Solomon Thomas.
He's a veteran, he's been around there, he was decent
with the Jets. He can also move outside if he
needed to be. And then of course you have a

(30:42):
Jay Toya. He's one of the bigger bodies that they
drafted uh this year, so he'll be there. And then
of course, yeah, well we talked about. Yeah, osa Osa
Odighizawa is back, Double O seven is back in the building.
He will he has not played any preseason reps, so
hopefully he's ready to go uh next week. And then,
of course the crazier story. You know, once upon a time,

(31:04):
Tyler Geiton went down and practice. Everybody said he tore's
a cl is out for a year, right. Thirty minutes
later he's like, oh, wait, no he didn't tears a
c O. Parry On Winfrey had his feelings put in
a blender today as he was told he was being
released basically.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Out the door.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
And then they're like, no, no, no, no, hold on, hold on,
you're not released. Actually we're gonna we're gonna keep you.
But this is your last chance. I've never heard that.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
Ever, Like, where'd you get that information on the.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Line on the world wide Web saying that this is
your last chance? And that was that was quoted from
a couple of people, So I'm not sure if that's
a real thing.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I mean, quotes are a son of a bit. You
can't parapher you.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Something like that that's saying this is your last chance
is pretty fucking crazy. But Brian Schottenheimers went on record
and said that this dude's a nasty, nasty work player
in the interior and that's what you need, man. You yeah,
otherwise we're gonna be screwed because linebacker.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Say what, but they got rid of the the the
Daxon guy, they got rid of the same round three
they got. I mean, I mean they must.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Have some serious confidence in guys like Osa and unfortunately
Sam Williams, I'm sorry, Manzi Smith, you know too, to
stop the run up front because otherwise, I don't know, man,
this defense has a it has the great edge rushers
that we'll get to the quarterback from the outsides. But
if those quarterbacks step up, it might be well, you

(32:25):
know what you need.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
What we need is d lineman that won't allow blockers
to get to that second level. And I'm I'm I'll
be honest with you. I'm happy with the with the linebacking.
UH picks this year who made the team? Yeah, I
like Shamar James, I like uh LEAFU we got the
bone Clark back right?

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Uh yeah, so Dumont Clark recently lea file Shamar James,
Jack Sanborn and K nine Kenneth Murray. Uh will be
the linebacking course, so they're keeping five there, and of
course you have the urgence and reappearance of the Marion
Overshan when he's back, so you'll have six linebackers there.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Maybe one of these guys get bumps. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
We have a decent, Like I said, I think our
linebacking core is an upgrade with Shamar James and the
way Leafu has been playing.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
So you know, so I'm just reading some breaking news
from Clarence Hill, new of d LS. Cowboys coach Brian
Shottenheimer said he had a long talk with Michael Parsons
about his body language from the other night with the
whole laying down and you know, relaxing on the fucking couch.
He still believes Parsons will be playing against the Eagles.
He said Parsons would likely be on limited reps against

(33:39):
the Eagles because he hasn't practiced and he's been bothered
by a tight back.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
So now, all right, this what drives me fucking nuts.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
It's like, now he's got a type back, So he's
proving Jerry Wright by saying that he's not going to
be available to us, So why pay him all that money?
If the dude is going to have an injury of
some sort, you know what I mean, Like, I just
I don't know. The whole thing's so freaking messy. It's
just it's a pain of the ass because he's such
a good dance player, and you know, it is what

(34:07):
it is. But in any event, we move on to
the corners in the secondary, which again this was interesting
because they let a couple of guys, let a couple
of guys leave. I love I love Izzy as a
safety slash slot corner. They let him walk out the building,
so he's no longer with us. It looks like the

(34:29):
cool thing is as much of as a as a
prick he was to me on a personal level, like
Trayvon Diggs looks like he's stranding the play week one
of the NFL season, which is leaps and bounds more
than I thought was ever going to be a possibility.
I thought we weren't going to see this dude till Halloween,
truth be told. But Diggs ramped up his rehab the
things that you know, the Cowboys were worried about most,

(34:51):
saying that he wasn't rehabbing correctly. This that and the
third that's why they were finding him all that money
and now all of a sudden he's ready for week one.
So if it's him and Duran Bland and.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
You know which.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
But if that's the case, Elam might move outside and
Doron Bland might move inside as the slock corner. Hey, yeah,
so that's what I think might happen.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I can't, bro I can't. I just can't with you, can't.
I can't with the whole thing. It's just so frustrating,
how like how how upity in like how we're all
acting like, oh, this person, we're getting the same fucking
people back that we've had the last couple of years,
and we're just, oh, that's great, Trayvon Digg is coming back. Fine,
I get it, But I don't get it because we've
sucked with him. Okay, we've sucked with the Moon Clark,

(35:38):
We've sucked with all these players and they're all coming back. No,
they're all coming back, and we're oh, oh so this
is oh but our lineback and Cruise an upgrade? We got?
Is it? Why why are we even using the word
upgrade without seeing these players play yet? All right, but
we haven't seen go on. What we got to go on, man, Michael,

(35:59):
Let's get Micah back. What did Michael do when he
was here?

Speaker 5 (36:03):
Besides okay, make.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Plays against shitty teams?

Speaker 5 (36:07):
All right, But the point is is that this is
what we have to deal with. It's not like we
we drafted every position we could. You know, you're limited
and what you can do and and to and to
and to restock.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
I can't agree with that, but I just think we should.
Everyone's voice should be a little more upset.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
All the Cowboys have career and he was. He was
destroyed last year in the AFC Championship games. Absolutely sucks,
and uh we have him starting, So that's something to
be optimistic about it.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Can we start for one season? For one season? I
want to start at the bottom and can we work
our way up?

Speaker 5 (36:45):
Can we just can't do that anymore? Though, Man, you
can't do that anymore?

Speaker 4 (36:49):
I mean, why not this way build teams?

Speaker 5 (36:53):
I mean, you know, it was funny I was talking
to somebody about he was saying, how like the defensive
lineman because I was you know, I watched a lot
of the older games there are they didn't weigh as
much because those guys never left the game.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
You had four starting.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
Defensive tackles with no defensive lineman, with no rotation.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
Yeah, you built teams.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
You can't build teams like that anymore, because even.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
If I'm not saying build a team, I'm not saying that, Bro,
I'm not saying build. I said, can we just take
it down in the beginning of the season, Like I.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
Know that anybody's out here.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
I don't think anybody's out here saying we're going to
the super Bowl. But I'm just you know, I'm just saying,
I'm just do.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
You think we're going to the super Bowl? Do you
think we have a chance?

Speaker 3 (37:36):
We have a chance.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
I'm not asking you, I'm asking starch. Do we have
a chance to go to the super Bowl? Yes? Or no?

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Get us in the tournament and never you never know.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
That's what I mean now, And I get I just
starting So you think we're good enough to get to
the tournament.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
That I think we're I think we're a playoff team
right now.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
Yeah, a wild card, yes, because I don't think we
can win the division.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
I don't listen. I don't just credit.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
You can laugh what you want, Bro, I'll be laughing
in January when you're sitting here like where's your receipts?

Speaker 5 (38:05):
Bro, you're missing the I mean, I see, that's my
thing right there, that's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
I want to be wrong. Yes, looks like a mid team.
We were mid last year, and we're gonna just I.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Just said, if we're running with at defensive tackle, then
we're gonna get run all over that.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
I just said that.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Okay, but then you're saying wait and Jane like you're
making it. But so you can't do both. It's either
make it well, we're not going to make it. In
the beginning of the season.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I think I'm gonna beat on the drum that we're
gonna beat Philly week one.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
All right, fine, and that's my See. This is where
this is where, this is why everyone gets so upset.
I'm not upset, but you get up to turn the
season if you, if you, if you start at.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
The expectations this season are all right. I have to
clarify all this because now I want to make I
want to put it in the language that you can say, Okay,
let's put it.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
Here's what here's what I'll say.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
The Dallas cow coming into this year, I'm optimistic about
their offense and their ability to score points. I am
not as optimistic for their defense and their ability to
stop anybody. Therefore, they're gonna have to win a lot
of games in high scoring situations. That means you might
have to put the games on deck, and I know
you have said it millions of times.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
It can't happen. I believe differently.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
I think Dak Prescott can put the game on his
back and will show that this year.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
I think this team is a ten win team. Ten wins.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I'm not looking for fucking thirteen like some of these
people are touting. And I'm not saying that the over
under was said at seven. You guys, forget you guys.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Seems to think Dak can put the team on his
shoulders is because of George Pickin. Basically, any average to
above average quarterback can throw this offense on their back.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
I'm just saying what, you know what, I would boldly
say that this Cowboys team, this offense as constructed right now,
I think Dak Prescott gives us like ten eleven, and
Joe Milton can give us seven eight if they were starting,
If they were starting right right, the Cowboys can be

(40:11):
the same record as they were last year at seven
and ten with Joe Milton as their quarterback. Getting Dak
Prescott back, I say that improved the team by just three.
I'm not saying like I lose now, you know what
I mean? So well, what I'm saying is every year
we see a team that nobody was talking about going
into the season, You're like, oh shit, the emergence of

(40:33):
the Detroit Lions. Nope, everybody said like, oh they're they're
on the cut.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
They could be. They're right, maybe I don't know, they
could turn next thing, you know, they're ripping off. Yeah,
but Deen wins.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Here's the difference though, and their defense was depleted.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
Dude.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
So they made the playoffs the year before, then they lost,
and then they went to the NFC Championship game.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
They've they've improved.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Look a look at we have, Look at our team history.
Look at our team history. Go back to ninety ninety one,
were going there, ninety one we got, We beat the
ship out of the Bears.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
And.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
Ninety one for Dak Truscott would have been twenty seventeen,
not twenty five.

Speaker 5 (41:12):
That's that's I'm with Keith on this.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Sorry, what's the excuse for somebody like a Drew Brees
and a Peyton Manning who took him so long to
get there.

Speaker 5 (41:20):
No, no, it's not. It's not about getting long. We're
not improving as a team.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
So I'm gonna answer that, but go ahead, bro.

Speaker 5 (41:27):
No I'm saying, is that like, for instance, when if
you want to take it to the early nineties, when
we were one in fifteen, we were like, we're better
than a one in fifteen team because we lost some
games in the last minute. There was you know, sharing time.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Then still a one in fifteen team doesn't matter.

Speaker 5 (41:41):
You're looking at the improvement of a team. And then
the next year, every year we improved, we're not improving.
And I think personally what I was going to say
is in today's game, with free agency the way it is,
it's hard.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
To there's windows.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
Yeah, there's yeah, you know, I get that part.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
Improving. You're you're you're you're by the way you're Peyton
Manning and Drew Brees. Uh comparison, No, the one you
can compare is John Elway. Sure, that's the one you
compare Peyton Manning. And then to assively, Peyton Manning got
better every single year, Drew Brees progressively got better.

Speaker 5 (42:16):
Every single year. And we also forget he got traded,
remember he was.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
Yeah, yeah, after the Chargers. I'm just talking about that.
I'm just saying he went to the Saints. But I'm
as far as John Elway goes. John Elway was left
for dead. They they they drafted Tommy Maddox to replace him.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Can I ask you a question, though, Yeah, outside of
the given that we've seen, Dak Prescott, you know, ruin
a game right in the playoffs, right, the Green Bay game,
pick six, don't, I don't the Niners games. So there's
a couple nasty blunders along the way, right, But outside

(42:53):
of like twenty sixteen was his rookie year, nobody knew
what the hell was going on. He's running around, he's
doing his thing, right.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Oh all right?

Speaker 2 (42:58):
The other seventeen is his worst year, lu Zee for
sixty games. You're right, it was just bad, right, haven't
you seen? And just based off of what we seen
besides the injuries, which you can't really consider because if
he breaks a fucking leg or he bears a hamstring,
you can't really consider those years. Dak Prescott is yards,
a few yards and a few touchdowns away from being
the all time Dallas Cowboys leader growth.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
This doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
But you're saying that these guys got progressively better. I'm
saying Dak Prescott get better.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
This year is we went to the what we he
blew the game against the Niners when we got fired
from bogging with the boys. Then the next year it
wasn't even worse.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (43:37):
Then the following year we go to Green Bay. He
played good. You know, our defense shipped the bed. We
lost again. Then we didn't even make the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Last year he had a better record than last year
as a starter. Let's put that out there.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
Yeah, but you also know that the defense was horrific when.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
They I'm not talking about Dak in general. I'm talking
about us as a team.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
Okay, Yeah, I know you are, and I agree.

Speaker 5 (44:03):
Yeah, I don't see us being dry. I could see
us winning ten games, yeah, making a wildcard because let's
be honest, a lot of the other teams are mid two.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (44:13):
It's it's it's not like anybody's jumping out. I mean,
you got Detroit, well, not Eagles.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
But none of us, none of us here, none of
us here, are saying we're going to be the one
seed here, you know what I mean like saying you're.

Speaker 5 (44:25):
Saying that, I'm saying we may not even make the
fucking playoffs.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
And that's a that's a possibility to based off the
teams around them. But if you look at the Dallas
Cowboys schedule, I think they sleep walk to nine wins.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
That's just me by just saying that.

Speaker 5 (44:39):
But my brother, while you're agitated, is this is not
I said my brother.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
He's always agitated.

Speaker 5 (44:45):
But I'm saying, is this is all we have to
talk about. I mean, this is our team.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
We can't we can't. We can't go over the game.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
Wins. Did you just say that? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (44:56):
I did?

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Okay, what Dak Prescott is myquarterback? And George Pickens and
ceedee lamb. Yeah, not that offense.

Speaker 4 (45:04):
With the offensive weapons that we have.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
Yeah, what else can I have that based on it,
I'm not gonna win. We're not gonna win twenty one
nothing based off of seven field goals.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
Let's go so and that's the thing with our defense.
You know, we don't know, maybe Sanborn.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
Why are we doing this conversation now?

Speaker 4 (45:20):
This is for next time because it's this gives us
time to marinate all this and then we can really
get into it. Yeah, well, starting linebackers. If you're telling
me we're rolling out with K nine dmon Clark, Lui
Foe is the only one I like there, then I
don't know what to tell you. With a defensive line

(45:41):
that that was gets blown up all the time. We're
gonna get the ship. They're gonna run down our fucking throats.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
But you just said, Keith, you literally just said that
you can't you can't base off anything because you haven't
seen it yet. How the hell are you talking about
guys you haven't seen playing.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
I'm starting at the bottom. I'm not. I'm done starting
at the top or already annoying people and just saying, oh,
we're gonna be great. No, I think they're gonna suck.
And I'm gonna come out and say that right away.
The team I'm going to start there this year, this season,
I'm starting there. That's how I'm starting. I'm with my
brother on this.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
I'm not coming out feeling exciting like I did last year.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
You know, it's just but again, it's still an improvement.

Speaker 5 (46:26):
I mean to get Samborn and then Shamar James, I
love you, know it's an improvement. To me, I'm talking
about where we're at from last year. Running back room.

Speaker 4 (46:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (46:36):
Receivers obviously on paper, improvement, defensive ends, we're not lacking there,
d line, nothing has really changed. Linebackers is an upgrade.
And then the cornerback positions. I mean, our safeties are great,
good safety room.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
You know, I like hooker. I've always been a hooker guy.
I do like Marque's bell. I like these guys.

Speaker 4 (46:59):
I do.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
But again, but I'm not.

Speaker 4 (47:01):
Saying from Eastern Carolina. If he can get healthy.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
Revel, Revel's gonna come back eventually.

Speaker 4 (47:06):
I don't know what he can do.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
We don't know what any of these guys can do
on that, but we know from what But what I know.
What I know is that when Dak Prescott is healthy,
he is a very good quarterback. And I know that
what they did for him this year is they added
somebody who can make plays down the field, which we
did not have last year outside of Ceedee Lamb. So

(47:29):
I think this air assault, you can do that, right,
Do I think you need to compliment it with a
significantly decent running game.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
Yeah, I think you need to do that. Do we
have that.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
I have no fucking idea because we don't know any
of these running backs.

Speaker 5 (47:45):
Again, Dak, it's what we have. He's the best we
gotta go with.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
If it.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
Is, he top ten, might be ten in the league.

Speaker 4 (47:55):
Let's not forget. Let's not forget. Let's not forget Dak
Prescott against the four nine ers once again. Amari Cooper
ceedee lamb uh Zeke in his prime, Tony Pollard in
his prime allway didn't score a touchdown to what what quarter?
I meant he was awful that game. So I meant
for you to say that that this is the reason why.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Because I'm going based but I'm going based off a
bigger sample size. You're taking one game too.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
Oh you want me to do a roll of dex
of games, I'll do them. I'll fucking start right now.

Speaker 5 (48:24):
The only thing that matters is if can you can
you win in December?

Speaker 4 (48:27):
In January?

Speaker 5 (48:28):
I mean, that's that's what you're playing for. You're not
playing for fantasy points. Yeah, you're not playing for throwing
for two hundred yards in the fourth quarter when when
we're down and you know, defenses aren't prevent Like I said,
Stat's mean nothing, analytics mean everything. Dak is a good quarterback.

(48:52):
He's a good quarterback, and and he's good enough that yeah,
we we can score points. Are the defense is the
prop you can't win. Even if you're going tip for tad,
it's then whoever gets the ball last, right, we gotta
And by the way, like I said, I remember, and
I keep bringing up that Saints game, we weren't really
moving the chains, you know. And and it's the second

(49:15):
game of the season. Even against Cleveland, our defense played
fucking lights out.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
We were like, holy shit, the offense, what was just there?

Speaker 5 (49:22):
Would they score seventeen?

Speaker 4 (49:23):
I think I don't remember their defense scored. I don't.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
Yeah, I don't remember. We had to return by Turpin.

Speaker 5 (49:31):
Yeah, but I'm saying, is that, like you know, and
now we're going twenty yards in Aubrey's kicking sixty yarders.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
In the eleventh round of of a fantasy draft. No bullshit,
kickers are not supposed to be touched until the final
round of drafts.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
I hit him on the eleventh in my other in
one big money league, and.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
I said, you can laugh at me all you want.
I'm getting twelve to fifteen points.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
A week. How many I mean, how many teams?

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Twelve? They all looked at me like, what the fuck
they want.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
One of my buddies was like, oh, you're having a
decent draft until Yeah, that was a guarantee every week.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
I agree. That's because we're gonna be kicking a lot
of field goals probably and you know what, new kickoff
rules and all that bullshit. Fifteen yards Dak, that's all
we need, buddy'll that's it.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
We'll score every drive.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Every drive will put up points because of Brandon Aubrey.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
That's what you know what that that with with Aubrey
and that mentality, I could possibly swing ten games for you.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
See, I'm not listen, We're not expecting.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
I'm not sitting here saying like Dak's gonna lead the
league in passing. I'm saying that the weapons that we have,
including Brandon Aubrey, are gonna give us the opportunity to
put some points up on the board.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
Can I sum this up?

Speaker 5 (50:43):
My brother's point is this is that we're sitting there talking, well,
that's good, we could put him on the slot.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
Blah blah blah. He's saying.

Speaker 5 (50:48):
All he's saying is that it's the same team. We
can't go in with the high expectations.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
You got to.

Speaker 5 (50:54):
Start low and if and if we win, that's great.
What you're saying is with Dak yeah, I think you
know we would do better than with Milton. But are
we a solid good team? Obviously we won't know until
the beginning of the season because we've seen that before.
We've seen teams. There's so much parody in the league
where you'll see.

Speaker 3 (51:15):
We can't even and based off of last year, you
don't game five.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Well, that's what I'm saying, based off of last year's
lessons that I'm learning as I grow, Right, I'm going
to be a forty year old young.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Man in a couple a couple of days.

Speaker 2 (51:25):
Really, I am looking at this team and saying, I
can't like if we go out there and beat Philly, right,
which I think we can do one hundred percent guarantee,
I'm saying I in my mind, I'm one hundred percent convince,
so anything can happen, and anything can happen. But we
also puffed art well, I puffed my chest out very
large last year when we beat Cleveland and the defense

(51:47):
looked like it was flying around the ball, right so
I've learned my lesson on not to get nuts after
one week of football.

Speaker 5 (51:53):
See, I just I'm keeping my receipts. I wasn't impressed
with the offense against Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (51:59):
We know this, yes, but what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (52:02):
Is that's that's a big deal and we had weapons.
So what we're doing right now is just hypotheticals. We
all we could talk about is the roster right now,
and then we'll know more after we see either we
get blown out against the Eagles or you know, we win,
or even if we keep it close. We got to

(52:24):
see promises of a team improving every week, right, you know,
we didn't really have that last year.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Last year was sporadic, man, And I'm not. I'm not
making a built in excuse. I'm not because I am
and I've been on record to say I'm a shoddy guy.
Right now, I believe in everything he's doing. I like
his his mojo. I like all the shit that he
brings to this team. He is a rookie head coach.
He's been around forever, right, but this is his first
time calling the plays as a head coach. I have

(52:53):
to give him the benefit of the doubt that it might.
I'm not about to, Like, I know you guys will
jump down his throat first week, second.

Speaker 4 (52:59):
Week, I'm not. I'm just saying my call.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
If he's calling plays that you don't like, you're like,
it's coaching. I know you guys are going to say that.

Speaker 4 (53:06):
Look you're watching you the first preseason game.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
But I won't. I won't call for the guy's head.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
I'm like, for his head, criticize if he's making shitty calls, yeah,
I'm going to criticize it.

Speaker 5 (53:20):
I mean, he's a first year coach, so those odds
are against us as well. Okay, and again it's a
new system.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
And of course rounding out the roster we have Brian Anger,
Brandon Aubrey and of course Trent Siege.

Speaker 5 (53:34):
Will I will say this, if I could redo my
football career over or you start because you're a good size,
just learn how to long snap man.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
He got by the way mcquad, he got cut equate
after saving America and playing for America.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
See somebody else got Wow, Well.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
That's why he's getting late to meetings.

Speaker 5 (53:53):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (53:53):
He was in Afghanistan over to play.

Speaker 5 (54:00):
Like you know, if we saw like spurts of like
like when when Jayden Blue.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
Was playing right who by the way, breaking news, he
switched his number from thirty four to twenty three in
case anybody gives a ship, because now that he made
the team, you can change your nub.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
Like you can see those thirty three he got no.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
Gravante's thirty three Jaden four and he switched to twenty three.

Speaker 5 (54:22):
If you were seeing a rookie player come in and
those like those bursts that they have, like you know,
you're you're looking, You're like, holy shit, that could we
saw he was somewhat productive, you know what I mean,
there's nothing to get excited about. And then even with
you know, Joe Milton's first two games, was like.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
What the fuck? That was awful?

Speaker 3 (54:45):
And there's no way denying that.

Speaker 5 (54:47):
Oh and our defense got man, every every fucking no.

Speaker 4 (54:52):
I just so let me ask you how many defensive linemen.

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Do we have? Though?

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Right, there's there's one, two, three, four, five, six, six nine.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
Ends not counting ends no end, sorry, not end, So
just defensive tackles.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Yeah, that's rough one two, three, four five five yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
So five, So when we run our basic defense, how
many how many do we have.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
With the basically run a four to three package, So
you're gonna get Osa out there, probably with Solomon Thomas.

Speaker 3 (55:23):
So those two.

Speaker 4 (55:24):
So Mazzie's only coming in.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
For what situational ship, you know, like yeah, him and
fucking paring on wine.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
Watching him bro every and and I guess that's his position.
But every single play, this guy man, he has two
guys on him and he's not even moving at always
going backwards. Mazzie.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
Oh, I know, I.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Look like I got co creators on Twitter creating ship
every week for this guy saying watch Mazzi get pushed
off the ball.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
It's like, that's bad.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
I love to play where I love to play where
they missed the block and he came in. It was
great though.

Speaker 3 (55:56):
He was like yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
I was like, hey, you know like I said, and
I said it online I said. I was like, okay,
Mozzi right, and somebody was like, bro, the guy missed
the tackle or I missed the block, And I was.

Speaker 4 (56:06):
Like, yeah, but if you would have whiffed on that tackle.

Speaker 3 (56:08):
You would.

Speaker 5 (56:12):
What made me happy though, in watching our linebacking corps, Look,
all you need to do is just keep keep those
if you can hold them, just keep the offensive linemen
off the linebackers and set them up to make the
plays on a run right, which, again, linebacker in my position,
in my if I was listing, cornerback is probably the

(56:33):
most difficult other than quarterback because you got to remember
everything and you're the field general. Linebacker is the same
way because you know, when you're a defensive tackle, okay,
you got to just take out fill gaps, push them
back in case it's a run. When you're a linebacker,
you're either reading, okay, do I have to get back

(56:53):
and pass?

Speaker 4 (56:53):
Do I have to play the run.

Speaker 5 (56:54):
There's a little bit more hesitation.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
And you're calling the defense.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
And you're calling it, and then when you're looking at
your edge rushers, they have one job. They just contain
the outside and go get the quarterback. They'll know if
it's a run or a pass quicker than anybody. So
as long as you can keep those offensive offensive linemen
off your linebackers and let them read make plays, give
them an extra second, it's the key. But if you're

(57:18):
not getting penetration or you're getting driven back into where
they're supposed to be, it's just.

Speaker 4 (57:24):
Not good man.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
Yeah, you can't put somebody in Sanborn's lap and be
our player. It's just not a good one.

Speaker 5 (57:30):
Miss you're gonna make, You're gonna miss plays everybody everybody does.
It's like it's like baseball. You know, if you're striking
out seventy five percent of the time, you're all world.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
You're still a Hall of famer.

Speaker 4 (57:41):
You're a Hall of famer.

Speaker 3 (57:42):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
And that's and that's the new that's the new age baseball.
Like back in the day, three hundred used to be it.
Now if you're at like two fifty, they're like, give
them forty million a year.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
This guy's this guy's amazing. How do you think you
think Rutgers hum is gonna be good this year?

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Or no?

Speaker 4 (57:59):
Yes or no? How many wins?

Speaker 2 (58:01):
So I talk about this with Jimmy every week because
he's the Ruckers head, and I might actually be going
to the first game on Thursday. Yeah, we should start
four and oh right, based off the schedule, he needs
six to get to a ball or Claire. You know,
I would say Jimmy's got him at eight and four.
I'm gonna say six and six?

Speaker 4 (58:20):
Seven? How many returning starters do you know? I?

Speaker 2 (58:24):
No, they lost my young guy they're running back to
the Chicago Bears. That's all I'm really But the recruiting
class is pretty good though. But uh yeah, I mean,
if you're if there's an over under said it like
five and a half, take the over.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
If it's six and a half, maybe take the other.
And you're ready for this schedule?

Speaker 4 (58:40):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
They have like a cupcake first three games that always
happens like that, but then all of a sudden their
final two games Penn State, Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
How funny is that after like ten and oh, Jimmy
is like.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
If they're ten and O, just consider him finishing ten
and two exactly. So anyway, that's Ruckers for another You
can follow Jimmy plumba show live tomorrow at one o'clock.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
I want to I want to get back to this though,
because I'm a little I'm probably a little bit more
optimistic than my brother.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
Okay, well you are every year, bro.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
You just said in pre I'm not optimistic anymore.

Speaker 5 (59:13):
No, I said optimistic more than him. That doesn't mean
that doesn't take much.

Speaker 4 (59:18):
That's not a lot.

Speaker 5 (59:19):
That's a little bit more optimistic. I am a little
bit more excited to see Shamar James gets some burn
and and and and you know some of the newer.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
He might not he might not see a lot of field,
but he'll get on there eventually. I mean the guys
that I'm I'm going bonkers over is Maurice Lee Leah Fowl.
I think he's going to be one of those guys
we're talking about him at the end of the year, like, Wow.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
That is I called over Shown right, I love that
And we'll get him back soon.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
And Shamar is my guy too, Chamar, I feel you
call him? What does that even mean? We all were
impressed with him.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
He's on the phone. He was like, yo, buddy, you
know I.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
Was so big on over Shown. Yeah, but I'm a
sure James is somebody that like he played at Florida.
I know who he is. I know he's gonna be good.
How do you get credit for that? I don't understand.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
No, No, he's calling it now, is what he's saying.

Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
I think he's gonna be uh.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Like everybody has a pet, everybody has a pet cat.
You know yours was deuced, Wan Brett's was over Shawn.
Mine was like Dak.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
No matter how bad he is.

Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
I like Shamar James, I was watching him play, and
it's my pet, my pet project, the one that I'm
really really hyped on.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
And if I had, if I had to pick one,
I'm gonna go perry On. I'm gonna go perry On Winfrey,
the defensive tackle. The guy was last shot at life. Yeah,
I'm going with him. He's a nasty motherfucker.

Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
So I don't know. I don't wish I did.

Speaker 5 (01:00:46):
He did.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
He's got Yeah, he's got.

Speaker 4 (01:00:50):
I don't. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
All right, we'll just we'll sign you up.

Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
So what do you give?

Speaker 5 (01:00:55):
Let's just do this greats for our team overall before
what do you give the uh, the rooms, just not
each room, the team overall. If you were to give it,
like if we were to go in and say is
it an A.

Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
B C, it's going to brutalize them.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
I say, the Dallas Cowboys going into this season are
a B.

Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
Minus, I'd say C plus.

Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
I was I was in between two, so yeah, I
gave them the benefit.

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
I would say, uh, C minus D plus D plus
C minus. Well, it's round the same.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
No, no, it's not. One is a completely different letter
in the alphabet.

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
No, but no, So all right, if i'm grading it.
If i'm grading it, I'm looking at Okay, a sixty eight,
sixty nine percent or seventy one, seventy two percent in between. There,
that's what I'm trying. I got it. I got it.
Let's do it real quick. Let's do it real quick. Okay,
we'll do each room.

Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
So A four is an A, A three is a B,
A two is a C, A one is a D.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Okay, and then we add the points and then we see.

Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
We seek.

Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
Quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
Our quarterback room with Dak and Milton. I'll go first.
I'll give it a three, give it a three three, right,
you give it a B. Our room Yeah, with Dak, Yeah,
I'll give us a B.

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
Give it a D. I give it I don't. I
give it a D A D. Yeah, because of our backup,
and because if that goes down week one, let's say
that's it's quicker downfall. Then you're talking about it in general.
And he did say give it a D, not our
starting quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
How many fucking quarters?

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
How many teams in the NFL have these backups that
can just come in and just take over.

Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
Yeah, example, if Rush, if Rush was there, I would
I would maybe give it a B, B minus or
a C plus. But and you love Joe Milton. You're
a big Joe Milton. All right, we're just going on
going off right here, all right, quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
Room, our running back room, Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, Jayden Blue,
Phil Maffa.

Speaker 4 (01:02:56):
What do you give it?

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
Two?

Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
Two? He's out a D A C. That's a C.
What's a D? One? I'll give it one.

Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
So you're giving our quarterbacks a one and our running
back so one.

Speaker 4 (01:03:09):
Yeah, it's a good start in general. Yeah, the room, Okay, I'm.

Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
Going with a C as well.

Speaker 4 (01:03:18):
Two.

Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
Okay, our full back Hunter Lofkey, he.

Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
Gets he's a running back though, he's.

Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
Pair of the running backs. Yeah, he's a four. Well
he don't.

Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
Don't put him in the averages.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
He's receiver corps.

Speaker 5 (01:03:34):
Receiver room with Lamb Pickens, Turp and Tolbert Flora. Four
A three is a B?

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
What are you giving him?

Speaker 3 (01:03:41):
One?

Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
A D? I'm sorry four four for four? I was
going the other way around.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Sorry, what do you say?

Speaker 5 (01:03:51):
Four?

Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
All right? Now we're going. Now we're going, and.

Speaker 5 (01:03:54):
That's just where we're just going. Tight ends Fergie Firch,
schoon Maker and Brevin span four.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
I'll give it a three Keith. I say, I see what,
just give it another two?

Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
Two? Uh? Yeah, because f zero yeah, zero, I'll get.

Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
I'll give two two Okay, I'm going uh, I'm going
three O line as.

Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
A unit, what do you got? I'll stick with a
three Keith. I'll say three, okay.

Speaker 5 (01:04:32):
We're all in agreement for one.

Speaker 4 (01:04:35):
All right.

Speaker 5 (01:04:35):
Now, we're at defensive.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Ends ends or defensive line.

Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Defensive ends. Arison's Fowler is an aku in Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
I'm giving a four four okay.

Speaker 5 (01:04:47):
I'll go with a four Keith.

Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
Actually, I'm we do it three three okay, even though
I said I thought that was our strongest. But maybe
our receivers are defensive tackle.

Speaker 5 (01:04:57):
Going on what we know our defensive line double O
seven Solomon, Thomas, Mazzi, Smith, Jay Toya and perry On Winfrey.

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
What do we got? They give it a one Keith one.

Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
We're all in agreement, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Line back, and make no mistake about it. I love Osa.
There's not much is not much behind him.

Speaker 4 (01:05:21):
You're not you're not hitting your fanhood. Don't worry. We
know all right. We all want to win.

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
Linebacker room Stanborne Murray Lea Clark and Shamar James.

Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
No, he's the he's earned his name back, by the way.

Speaker 4 (01:05:36):
You know, I'm gonna go. I'm going to go with the.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
I like Maurice, I like, let me go, let me
go to three on.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
That b Yeah, okay, Keith, that was the shining thing
in their preseason was I don't give I'm.

Speaker 4 (01:05:52):
Just telling.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
They were.

Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
It was the shining thing because they were a shining
in the regulars.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Nugget.

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
Samborne wasn't there, James wasn't there, Jamesborn.

Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
I like, I still don't know why what's his name
didn't play K nine.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
I'm I'm also considering over shan part of this room.

Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
By the way, Yeah, you can come on. That's not
fair because he's not.

Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
He's playing, he's getting back.

Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
When week ten he's no, I can't Now, I don't
like that, I say with because he's no, you're doing
who's He's not on the roster right now, he's on.

Speaker 3 (01:06:29):
I R He's fine, Fine, Fine, I'm still sticking with it. Three.
You can go with your d or whatever you want.

Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
I'm looking at the only weak link that we saw
here is de Mont Clark.

Speaker 4 (01:06:40):
The only one I like out of all them, is
is Louis luisfu and and and I'm still suspect I
can't give Samborne a grade yet. Sorry. And I've seen
what the the gavone Clark has done. I've seen what
K nine has done on other teams. I mean, Luis,
is he good enough to take him to a seat?

Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
No, I go d Sorry, So you got two? I
mean one? One?

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Running along? Here, go ahead?

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
Where we cornerbacks Diggs, Bland, Elam, Carson, Booth and Childress.

Speaker 4 (01:07:11):
What do we got? I'll give him a three Keith
two pieces.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Anytime you give it less than me.

Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
I'm just like this mother, and in our safety room,
Wilson Hooker, Thomas Bell, that's a that's a four as
far as I'm concerned.

Speaker 4 (01:07:38):
That's a three for me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:39):
I like them all. I just two.

Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
By the day.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
With the first pick in the twenty twenty six NFL Draft,
the Dallas Cowboys select based off of Keith's grading system.

Speaker 5 (01:07:54):
All right, let me do this real quick, go ahead,
start wrapping it up, and I'll give you.

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
I'll give us.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
Sorry, Well, listen. The Cowboys will be back.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Next week with Jesse Holly to preview all the games
and give our season predictions and wins and losses and
all that fun shit.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
Because we are here, guys. We are literally today's Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
As we record, we are nine days away from the
Dallas Cowboys kicking off their twenty twenty five campaign.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
There's optimism in the air someplaces, and then, of.

Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Course, you know, there's also a lot of worry. So Brett,
the final tallies for the grades of the rooms.

Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
Give me follows, give me two seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
I know this is hard, hard numbers to really add up.
I get it. So AnyWho, how many groups?

Speaker 5 (01:08:41):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (01:08:41):
Wait yet? You had quarterback, you had offensive line, you
had wide receivers, you had running back, you had uh
tight ends. It's ten ten.

Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
We're dividing by.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Ten ten.

Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
We can't do special teams, Bob, everybody gets an extra four.

Speaker 4 (01:08:59):
No, just forget we we do it for Aubrey. We
all know we're giving that an a So just like
what I'm saying, just give everybody extra four. It's ten,
all right, So that's five he was had three?

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Or to kick you right the fuck out of this.

Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
Talk shit about Aubrey dog talk shit about.

Speaker 6 (01:09:20):
I can't come out of my mouth if I try
come for your neck, dog, I deserve to be kicked
in the mouth, like for real.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
Oh man. Anyway, all right, guys, all right, so the
results are in.

Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
Everybody, here we go. You got some big news. Here
go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
I just wanted to see if we were consistent without
the special Teams room, which we all give a four. Keith,
your grade for the Dallas Cowboys this year is A two,
which is A which is a C. Okay, okay, start
your two point nine, which is two plus, all right,
And I'm at two point nine, which.

Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
Is a C plus.

Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
So it was I told you I was right around
the C plus B minus real, So.

Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
Yeah, and I'm right around the C D right, you're
right smack huh, you're right back and see yeah, right,
So when it comes down to it, we all have c's. Yeah,
I was thinking like it's it's I mean, which.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
Is all by all accounts, A C is a five
hundred team, so you're either nine and eight or eight nine.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
We're probably right around there. No.

Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
See, now I feel much better because a team that's
a C you're still not sure of either, right, right,
So maybe you know, so we can all be happy.
Maybe by the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
I gotta be some there's probably some listeners out there
that did all the math way faster than you.

Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
Man, We're fine.

Speaker 5 (01:10:47):
I mean they were pretty fair and fine and and
and by the way, if you're putting in our special teams.

Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
C plus ye, well that's what I'm saying with some
points because I gotta go.

Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
I gotta go coach great flag football team right now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
You do, go do you'll go yell at the Youth

this episode. Go Cowboys, We'll see you next week.
