Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ok passa. Everybody, Welcome to a brand new episode of
Spill the tea Quila. Here on the job Broken Channel.
I am a job broke jonas always by the King's
(00:23):
Wagon himself from parts unknown right now Winston today, Marshall,
how are you, Winston? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'm good, man, I just want to check, because I
tip the head of this might still sound good.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Like this, it sounds like you're in a tunnel. But no, no, no, no, no,
we're good.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
We're good.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I'll put these guck on.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Hold on, Okay, I mean just a second? Sure, sure, Hey,
how about that?
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Is that better? Uh?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
It's it again?
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Is that any better? Check?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yes, no, man, I'm good. I were so a lot
of you know that.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Some of the drama for me the last couple of
weeks is that, you know, we we rescued a dog. Yeah,
she went in to eat as we got her. She
had to get spaid about two weeks ago. There's been
complications from the space she went in for her. She
went in for her check up last week and there
was more complications. So she went in for the final
(01:18):
checkup today and so she's back in surgery today. So
because of that, her The VET is for those of
no la is on the West Side and we live
in the valley, So there was no world because I
have to pick her up essentially when the show ends,
there's no world.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
I would have made it to the VET by six.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
So my sister, who happens to live on this side
of town, I just came to work at her place,
including doing the show. So this is what a successful
ass screenwriter, how she be living. You know what I'm saying,
Like fucking decorated, glorious ass office.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
So you know I love it. I love it. Well,
we appreciate you making the uh you know, changes that
need to make to be on the show today, brother,
because I'm excited to talk to you about all kinds
of stuff that we're getting into here. We're gonna get
a little Black Panther, three updates, talk some DC news.
Maybe if there's time, we'll get the speculation of who
Sadie Sink might be playing now that she's appearing in
(02:15):
Avengers Doomsday. A lot of people are crazy about that.
We're definitely gonna talk to the Epstein Files. The madness
is going on. This thing is like a fast moving train.
Now over the last forty eight hours and we'll talk
NFL Week eleven action as well. And if you want
us to read your questions, thoughts and comments, gott to
send him in through the super chests. Gotta send him
in through the stream labs. It's pinned in the chat now,
(02:36):
it's in the description of the video, and it's up
there on the screen as well. So we've got limited
time because I gotta I gotta get to a wicked
screening tonight, Winston, So let's get into the show.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
I'm jealous.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Are you not going? Are you not? Have you not
gotten in?
Speaker 4 (02:50):
I didn't get it.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
I didn't get an invited and I refuse to pay
the extra money. Like there was there were there were
like the fans screenings that if I wanted to say,
like twenty five dollars, is that what you're doing?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah? No, no, no, no, no no, it's a screening tonight
last night. I could have gone. There were seats for
the nine thirty and ten fifteen, but you're right, I
couldn't use my regal plan. I had to pay like
thirty dollars.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
I'm like, no, I already did that for Superman.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
And I was like, there were if the returns like
if my channel was popping like that and the returns
would have like produced at least a net negative, I
would have been like a right sure or at least close.
But otherwise, knowing I pay for AMC A list, I'm
not driving an extra thirty dollars to go see a
movie I can see in like two days, even like
just because it's not gonna do those kind of gangbuster
numbers on my channel, Like it's not the Jews, ay
(03:35):
Worth the Squeeze, But I've heard good things. I mean,
we'll see what happens. I'm curious your thoughts. Instead, I
saw Sassu Revenge, Rode Over to Revenge.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It was good? Is it word?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I didn't see the first one, so I was like,
I was like, what the fuck am I watching?
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Roca? It was insane.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
It was indeed it was if John Wick. Yeah, it
became Michael Myers. Bro Like, holy shit, brokay, it was instane.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
He's a European John Wick. So you know, ain't no restrictions.
Ain't those American restrictions on that John Wick? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Bro, I won't ruin any of the movie. But there's
a point at which this man uses a ballistic missile
I won't say how, but he uses it in the
most unconventional manner, and I'm like, there's no way this
is gonna work.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
And then shit happens, and I'm like, what.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
He's doing in that game, milta that people haven't tried
to do unless they were like playing Halo or Team
Fortress Classic trying to do rocket jumps, Like shit won't
make sense?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
All right?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, I mean I was flipping through tub last night
and the first movie is on to be. So if
you guys have that at Heca watch it for free
on to Be. You'll have commercials, but you can still
Roger and those are uncut. So if you haven't seen
the first sezu the sequels coming out this weekend, highly
recommend y'all watch it. It is fucking insane. So if
you go back and.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Watch it, love it is genuinely insane madness.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
But let's move on to this, which we want to
kick the show off with Black Panther three Winston. There's
been a lot of movement on this particular film. When
asked by Deadline about the possibility of a third Black
Panther movie this week, Ryan Cougler was coy initially said
I can either confirm or deny them. By the end
of the interview, he said, we're deep into it. It's
up next. Yes, it's the next film. The rumor for
(05:40):
this release date for the film is February eighteenth, twenty twenty.
The film with Star production in twenty twenty seven, and
a recent Variety report even said that the ideas are
percolating quote unquote for the Coogler directed three quol and
his generating excitement internally and in fact production list that
said that the title for the third Black film, a
third Black Panther film, had been it's called Shadows of Wakanda,
(06:02):
which is a pretty big revelation if that's true. And
we know also that Denzel Washington, who you just saw
on the screen, is supposed to be a part of it.
Apparently he's spilled that before he was supposed to spill that.
Believe that if you feel like it or not, I
don't know, but he said he's really excited to be
a part of this thing. And the rumored log line
is that Letitia Wright Shurry will cement her legacy not
(06:25):
just as a warrior, but one of Akanda's greatest leaders.
And the series is set to explore the political vulnerability
and social unease that Wakanda has been stricken with following
the death of T'Challa. So a lot of news this
week on this thing.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Where are you at?
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Mentally? Where are you at on all of this? What
do you believe? Would he not believe? What do you
think is happening here?
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I mean, first of all, I'm just gonna say it
hashtag recast to Challa, like I think the most important
thing above all else. I said this from Jump, I said,
I don't think that there's a problem with deciding to
wait a movie to do that. I think that there
could have been a slightly better way to handle it
that still gives you Wakanda forever, but addresses the elephant
(07:07):
in the room, okay, instead of just the idea of
him dying off screen, right, I think what you should
have done as the opening, like the cold open for
the movie, the child is on some sort of mission,
but you're mainly seeing it through the POV of sure,
he giving support, and the idea is that he's fighting,
he's doing whatever, and then you just get this idea
(07:29):
of like, no, don't go in there as well, braa da,
and it just cuts off like you can see Black Panther,
because again, you can either have an actor a stunt actor,
or do the CGI with however you're doing it. See
him fighting, but then like you don't need to necessarily
see him directly die, but sure he's monitoring and he
goes out there. If you do something like that, if
(07:49):
it cuts feed or whatever it is, yeah, oh my god,
he's dead. You're holding the whole thing. He was killed
on a mission blah blah blah blah blah. And then
your post credit instead of going with, you know, to Saint,
you end up in a scenario where Suri is finally
accepted that she's the new Queen, that she's the Black Panther,
(08:10):
and then all of a sudden something happens where you
just see like a shoulder of T'Challa walk in and
she just goes brother and then cuts black. And then
when you're ready to cast to Chala for the next film,
whoever it is, that to me was my idea of
kind of marrying the idea of giving the respect in
the air or Chadwick passing and be like, we're not
(08:31):
ready to address this, and you still have the same
movie that Ryan put out but then you also then
don't have this idea where a lot of people feel
cheapened one way or the other because of how integral
To'challa is, to the character, to the nation of Aconda,
et cetera. Don't have to jump into variants. You don't
(08:52):
have to age up a child. You just wrote a
story that allows you to still deal with your grief
and then gives you the op the clean opportunity to
get back.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
To where you want to go.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Because whatever what I feel was a honorable maybe at first,
but then ultimately very misguided, this idea of like, well,
never recast to Challa, that's done or whatever whatever. And
as a lot of people have said, you didn't stop
making Superman.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Movies because Christopher Reeve died.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
You didn't, you know what I'm saying, Like, you didn't
stop making Batman movies because Adam West has gone like you,
the character lives on beyond the initial actor that did it.
So I am excited to hear that there's another movie.
I really hope we end up in a scenario where
we end up getting to Chala back. However that is.
(09:40):
I think Shadows of Wakanda sounds interesting and almost feels
like not a homework scenario, but feels like a connection
to Isyes of Wakonda, because I think part of that
too is the idea of you know, the spies you
have around the world, et cetera, et cetera, like and
all that kind of stuff. I know that was an
element of that show. I think the other thing about
(10:00):
it that becomes interesting for anybody that is like a
Naruto fan or anything like that, they're aware of the
idea of like the Hokage, So like the person that's
actually ruling over like the land of Fire yea and
the shadow Hokage, the person that's working behind the scenes,
who's actually doing some nefarious shit and has this ulterior motive.
(10:21):
So the way we talked a lot, you know, I know,
your talking ill of the dead, but the way we
talked about Dick Cheney, the fact that sure Bush was
the president, but Cheney was out here cutting deals and
getting Halliburton hell of money and blowing up all sorts
of shit at his kind of command type shit. That's
what that sounds like, and it sounds like that's what
Denzel's role will probably be some sort of shadowy figure
(10:41):
in Wakanda that is doing shadow ops and it's making
Wakanda not look good because things are getting real fucking hectic.
So I'm here for it. I think it'll be great.
I trust Coogler. He hasn't put out a bad movie
in my opinion yet, and he certainly hasn't with the
Black Panther films, even if I had some you know,
(11:02):
feelings about the second one about certain things, but I
respect everything. The demand's in grief, like that's that's your
brother who've been working with and all of a sudden
this happened.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
So but I'm here for it.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Let's let's let's see it and get Denzel and Ball
one of the great sages of all time.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Man.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yeah, I'm just excited that they're this deep into making
a coming up with the story for Black Panther three,
because remember the thing that worked against Black Panther two was,
you know, Ryan was having to rewrite it. You know, wait,
Chadwick was dead. Shit, I got to rewrite it. Wait,
we got the strikes waiting the COVID, I got to
rewrite it. Latitia's have an issues with taking the vaccine. Shit,
(11:38):
I might have to rewrite it. So there was all
kinds of stuff going on behind the scenes on that
whole film that in the end, the fact that they
even came out with a film that was remotely good
and made as much money as it made, that's an
accomplishment on its own. Now he's got more time to
flesh these ideas out. We're doing. It's just going to
be post Secret Wars, so it's gonna have it's kind
(12:00):
of own launching into this new phase and you can
kind of clean the deck a little bit and go forward.
And I think that's the whole point of this, and
I hear you with Denzel, because the idea at the
end of the First Black Panther is we are now
opening our doors to the world right And in the
Second Black Panther, we saw what happened with that with
Fenachworta and his name more and what happens there. But
(12:21):
now you've got a power vacuum going on because T'Challa
is dead, Queen Ramanda is gone. Now who is going
to step in to lead Wakanda? Well, as you said,
a shadow offsky Denzel been dancing in the background the
whole time, him coming in to possibly take over. It
feels like that's just Taylor made to be some great drama,
(12:41):
and the T'Challa situation is going to be fascinating because,
as you said, do they recast to Challa as the
actual ta'jalla or are they going to bring a black
panther from another universe's they keep hinting about in secret
Wars to take over and be the T'Challa of this
six one six again? So what are your thoughts on that, Winston?
Do you want it to be the T'Challa that we are,
(13:03):
I mean, because they greeve they grieved him, So will
it be a son or will it be someone from
another universe?
Speaker 2 (13:09):
At this point, I would prefer a variant because I think,
especially if what you're about to do is you're about
to get the X Men involved. One of the major
storylines that a lot of people were kind of feeling
some type of way as well with the idea of
the Saint and the Kia and all that kind of stuff,
is the fact that, Okay, well, if he's with the Ki,
if he's in love and the Key has the son
of the Kia.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Where's where does storm come into play?
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Right?
Speaker 2 (13:31):
So, especially since that is a major storyline that happened,
is storm and child To'challa getting married and ruling will
condo together.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
So I also think it would be very interesting.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
If you end up in a scenario because do they
say when this is supposed to take place.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
I would have to assume it's post Secret Wars.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
They haven't. Yeah, it's gonna be it's gonna be uh
put out post Secret Wars, and I imagine it's going
to occur post Secret Wars as well, So you're not
messing with the timeline in people's minds.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yeah, So then I think the way that you you
kind of play that out then, and that's an easy
way that can make stuff kind of interesting if you
if you pull it to Challa and maybe even Denzel's
character from this alternate will condom and this idea of
maybe their world is gone, but what's Wakanda's place in
the world here and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Then there's the weird buying for power of like we
was she really the queen? You know?
Speaker 2 (14:23):
And all that kind of stuff and kind of pushing that.
I think it becomes interesting, especially if you're also trying
to involve to Saint. Then it's like, well, you're my dad,
but you're not my dad. Like, I think there's a
lot of stuff that can kind of come into play
that you could really make a lot of discussions about legacy, family,
(14:44):
the politics of it all, et cetera, et cetera. I
think there's a lot of stuff that you can ultimately
play with it. But I think the idea of aging
up to Saint is just a mistake personally, I don't
I don't think that's the way to go. I think
you go multiversal and that also then allows that to
Challa to fall in love with Storm. So I think
you open up two particular doors.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
That make sense.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
You don't have to do the Storm to Challa relationship.
But I think you'd be remiss if you were about
to make the X Men the centerpiece of the MCU.
Why wouldn't you take one of their major characters, And
how tied she is too Wakanda at a point in
her in her story to not do that?
Speaker 4 (15:23):
You did? You would? You would?
Speaker 2 (15:25):
People have been clamoring shit for a Storm solo film
for a minute.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
How dope would that be?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
If like you got her with the X Men and
then she is kind of torn between these two worlds
of what is her life in Africa, what is her
life as a god, as the idea of her potentially
becoming queen, all that kind of stuff. I think that
just opens up all those avenues to kind of let
that play out.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Can the Can the world handle that much badass blackness
on screen? Is what I got to ask you. If
you got in, you got in Baku Black Panther, Denzel Washington,
Letitia Ryan and God knows who I mean?
Speaker 5 (16:00):
This could be is a lot. That's a lot. We
did it twice, bro. You first one to you had
chatted with this to Charlie, you had uh I Camember
the name of his character, but he was in that mud. Obviously.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You had kill Monger, Michael Jordan, You had Angela Bassett
is Queen Ramona, Yeah, Leticia Wright, you had Forrest, you
haddangerre Era, you had uh oh my god, had everybody
to Winston do. And then you turn around and did
it again and like, yes, you didn't have chat with Bea,
but I don't want to bring Michael Beck, angel listen
(16:37):
to won Her Damn Oscar like you had all that
stuff kind of going through.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
So I I think that I hope that Ryan closes.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Out this trilogy as you know, writer, director, producer, and
then is a producer only, whether it be a name
or giving creative input going forward. Let him close out
his trilogy, then go so make more stuff like Sinners
or I know he wants to do the X Files
thing that's coming up.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Like there's a lot of stuff that he wants to do.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Close out your trilogy bing bang boom, and then and
then you know you're onto your next stuff. Because I've
I've always just been curious about the world that he
created and letting that be something that he finished. I
think the best trilogy is more or less that I've
seen out of the MCU. I mean, Gun ran the
gambit of his full Guardians movies, right, you know, I
(17:31):
think the you could almost call the Russo since they
kind of stepped it up and Winter Soldier and obviously
it was all the Avengers kind of doing stuff. But
it feels like their trilogy was Winter Soldier Civil War
and then Secret Endgame Infinity War in Pretty War Endgame,
like that was their kind of trilogy in that regard, Like,
I think, just let let him close this thing out
(17:52):
and then and then we can move on with a
Conda however you want to move on going forward.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Yeah, Yeah, that seems to be the way that this
is going to go, and I'm so curious to see
where it's all going to land. But the fact that
this is in motion now, we're probably gonna hear about
a Black Panther being cast soon. I mean, we've got
Doomsday about to drop a trailer in about a little
over a month, and then you've got Doomsday coming up
(18:17):
next week, you have next year, You've got Cigare Wars
coming soon. They're gonna start shooting that next year. So
you've got to absolutely at some point announce this black
Panther Chichalla. You know, at some point in the next
few months. I think we're really close to it being announced.
Do you think, as all these hints seem to be dropping,
do you think it's going to be Damson? Do you
think there's other people in the mix right now or
(18:38):
do you think the odds on favor right now is
Dance and Interest.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
I wonder there's probably other people in the mix, but
I am I think that he would be the best
potential option here. Yeah, I think is to go with
go with Denzel, But you know, we'll see, well, we'll
ultimately or not Denzel.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Sorry with Dameson that that's an interest, But I think
I think.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
He would have like, there's plenty of people that were
the only other person I would maybe think of. But
he's a little too light skinned. He's perfectly cast. Where
he's at is Aaron Pierre. That's as John I think.
I think it's I think you're better to go with
the Dameson like I would have also liked.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Uh, But I don't know if he really wants to
work with Disney anymore.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
I think that that after the whole Star Wars thing,
that's probably pretty done.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
THO. Yeah, so you.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Know, suggesting David Johnson from Alien Romulus, But I don't
know that I necessarily buy that. Although he was great in.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
The Walk, he was great. I just he feels.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
A little he looks a little too young to me, Yeah,
if I if I'm just being if I'm just being honest,
he just he just looks a little a little too young.
If they're going to Agia, like I know, he's thirty two, right,
it's like they're going to age up to Saint.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
I guess that I would feel better with him.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
But if they were gonna go with an alt like
a variant that I would definitely prefer Dameson. And I
know Dameson also looks young and he's only two years old.
He's only thirty four, But I can't explain it, but
some people just look a.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Little older than then that, you know what I mean?
He Dason is in that space and has that look
that is truly time.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
He's going to look like he's about the age he
is about thirty four right probably for the next like
twenty or thirty years, just because of like like them crack.
A lot of black people look that way. Like shit,
I don't know dependent if funny my facial hair off,
you might go Nikka twenty three? What what the Like's
this is why my my fiance doesn't like when I
shaved because I look like a child. But I but
(20:53):
you know what I'm saying, Like, I think, if that's
the way we're going, I went Dameson for the variant,
I would go I would be okay with with David
for the sat I.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Think David Johnson would be a great villain like he
you know, we've had Michael b. That's a great legacy
to carry on. I mean, was a good kind of villain.
And then you bring in someone like David Johnson. I
think David Johnson would be an excellent villain, along with
possibly Denzel versus whoever's going to play Black Panther.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
And then I said, it's a saint's name wrong. How
is it supposed to be saying because it's funch based right?
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Not?
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (21:27):
How am I supposed to say it? I know? People
be like he's doing that on purpose?
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yah?
Speaker 4 (21:32):
No, I'm bad with names like what Like, how am
I supposed to say it?
Speaker 2 (21:36):
If I'm doing that wrong? Because someone also says that
I'm saying it's Damnson, Damson, Damnson. Okay, so Damnson. But
how do I how do I say to saying that's
not right?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Oh? Man, well let it. Let's let that be. You know,
you know who the hell we're talking about. You know
who the hell we're talking about. That's what matters more
than anything else. So we'll see, uh as it goes
forward where where with this? But I'm excited to see
where it lands. And Ryan just I agree with you.
Just wrap it up the trilogy, send it into put
(22:08):
it in a good place, and then move on to
the next thing for him, because clearly there's other things
he wants to do, and I'm looking forward to seeing
that from him for sure. All right, let's move on
to this stuff. Where is it? That's one of some
James Gunn News Winston. This week, Nexus Point News put
out a story that a new female hero is being
(22:28):
cast in the film. They're in the Superman Man of
Tomorrow film. The person is described as being in her
late twenties and having an edge to her, and there's
a height requirement. They're looking for taller actresses and the
character is being described as a warrior having a strong physique.
I mean, they basically said everything about Wonder Woman without
(22:51):
saying wonder Woman. So what are you?
Speaker 4 (22:54):
It's what a woman?
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Or do you not? What are your thoughts?
Speaker 4 (22:56):
I didn't hear.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I didn't hear about the height requirement. Yes, we always
said that I needed Wonder Woman to be taller. She's
supposed That's the whole point is that she's an Amazon
and the idea that like she's as big as the
other two, Like that's like, if not sometimes bigger than
the other two as far as Superman and Batman, just
(23:18):
as like heightened stature. But here's the thing, Okay, I
don't know if this is actually for Wonder Woman.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
If we know for a.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Fact that we're already dealing with Salvation. Yes, Salvation is
the land where you have what a number.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
I think it's the.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Saw that's doing it, But you have to Sad trains
a lot of his parademons and ship on that planet. Right,
and we've already known that we're dealing with Chapter one
or volume one is gods and monsters. That might be
Big Barta. I saw that, and that might make a
little more sense if they really have another plan for
Wonder Woman to specifically Barta, to be honest with you,
(23:59):
is even more so than Wonder Woman has got to
be a giant.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Yes, it's in the name.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Her name is big bart yeahs So like that's the
thing that typically they're depicted as about the same stature
one way or the other.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
Barta maybe a little bit.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
On her height wise, but again as bad ass of
a warriors as part of is Diana typically has the
edge on her just being who Diana is. Right, That's
where my mind went the minute you said the hype thing.
I didn't know that that was part of the thing.
I was like, yeah, oh, Salvation though, so maybe that's
more what it is.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
It's their way, and it's also their way of dancing
around dark Side without doing dark Side, right. I mean,
he's kind of he came out last few weeks saying
he's not going to do dark Side because Snyder dig
dark Side and that's what he's really that's not something
he wants to walk into just yet. He wants to
do other things. But doesn't mean you can't have characters
who have interacted or been part of the dark Side
(24:56):
universe be a part of your DC currently. And certainly
we've never seen Big Barta. That means mister Miracle is
not possibly not that far away, and that's exciting. And
so there's all these possibilities when you open the door,
and that makes sense for the Superman world. Now, of
course wonder Woman makes all kinds of sense too, but
you're trying to launch her in her separate thing. So
(25:16):
it would surprise me that they do exactly what Snyder
did by having Wonder Woman appear in BBS and then
shooting off to do her own movie. That would surprise me.
So I think the I don't know that you necessarily
want to launch wonder Woman out of Man of tomorrow,
Big Barta seems to make more sense in that way.
It doesn't mean like near the end you couldn't have
some allusion to something on Themiscara and then we get
(25:39):
our wonder woman. But I just would be surprised that
she'd be a big part of Man of Time.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
I'm just like, go give my girl right now, Go
get my girl.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Uh, Brianna Tarth, you know what I'm saying, Go get
go get miss Gwyndoln Christie right now. And to be
to be big Barter bro, she would kill us. It's
essentially play saying a DC version of Brianna Tarth, but
it would. But she's she's perfect for it because like again, she's.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Six foot three.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
She she has already played that warrior a number of
times against Branda Parth. Then uh, you know Captain FAsMA
in the in the sequel Star Wars, So she's got
that badass level to it.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
It's just up to her if she wants to essentially
play that same.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Role in a different version right again and then be
in it for a minute.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Now.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Mind you, she is forty seven, so it's also like, okay,
we probably want you for about a decade.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Are you down?
Speaker 2 (26:36):
To do this until you're almost sixty, which obviously what
was funny is listening to Batista being like, bro, I'm
almost sixty. I don't want to keep playing drags. I'm
done with this shit. I love the character, but I'm
not being this Jack. I don't want to do it anymore.
So it's a question of if she wants to continue
(26:57):
to do that. But but I think she would be
absolutely perfect if it is Barta to go get Gwendel
and Christy.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
I want to bring up images. This is what we're
talking about. This is for those of you may not
know who Big Barta is and some of you may
not know in DC she is this massive, tall woman.
She has this relationship with mister Miracle and so they
have been a connective to look at the size of
her in this artwork. That's basically what you see and
look at that. Almost right on cue, there is Gwendolyn
(27:26):
Christy as a I mean she's towering over to Cole Kidman,
who is well known to be a tall person, a
tall actress herself. But a lot of people suggesting people
like like of course Gina Grano, of course, Catherine Whittick
from The Viking series. We've got to what do we
got to Katie Sackoff here possibly, so there's quite a
(27:46):
few people they're recommending for Barta.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
So but she got she a big.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
She a big girl, bro, because she's she's you know,
she was born on Apocalypse.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
She is she's technically a new god. And so the
new gods already are. They can be big, but more
than anythink they're imposing, even if not by their size,
just in general. Gwndlyn Christie, that's why she madly comes
to mind. Is again it's both size and and intimidation.
I always got that energy from her like she is.
(28:20):
That feels like the way that we keep saying Jason
Momo was born to play Lobo, and you feel like
Gwendolyn Christie was born to play big Barta. Now again,
there may be somebody else out there. I'm missing people
bringing up Gina Carno. Whether or not you a, I
guess that's DC. So there's that I don't again, but
it's a different studio. But I think the bigger thing
(28:41):
about that is I'm not mistaken. She is big in stature,
but I don't think that she like like like short.
Isn't she like five stick think, yeah, okay, which is
a little taller than normal, But again, Barta is huge.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Yeah, so I don't.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
But she's she's forty three as well, she's no a
spring chicken as well, you know, right right?
Speaker 2 (29:05):
So Plus you know, I'm not I'm not getting into
the whole nitty gritty of it because I'm just not
a fan. But I just don't think she's meeting the
proper what we're looking at for the type of actress
that you need, you know what I'm saying. I read
more so than Diana. I believe Barna has to be big.
It's literally in the name.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Some people suggest Katie O'Brien, even although I don't know
how tall Katie is. I think she's you know, she's getting.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
She's five seven, she is, she is gaining steam. But
like I would almost prefer her, Like who could Katie be?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
I'm trying to think, like maybe Huntress if you're gonna like,
you know, I think she kind of gets me Huntress vibes,
and especially from the standpoint of like depending on the
story you're reading of Huntress, whether or not she's straight
or queer. I think if she wants to lean into
that again obviously with her herself and her identity. I
think that would be a good look. She uh oh again,
(30:03):
I keep forgetting DC Marvel separate. I'm just automatically going
there because I was like, wasn't she in quantumya already?
But again we're different, all right, Yeah, I just just
not big enough, that's it. I just I just need
a gargantuan like warrior to be big Barday, if you're
going to do.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
That, there's not a lot of tall actresses. I mean,
the business does not really cater to tall actresses. But
so I mean when you're saying Gwendolen Christie, that just
seems like the logical choice unless they, like, unless there's
people I've seen some people suggesting some pro wrestlers. It's like, man,
you got to prove that they can act. That's my
that's my ding against Gina. If you want to bring
Gina in, whatever your political issues, you know, it's resolved.
(30:44):
We move on. But like, she's not a good actress.
And so to me, if you're going to bring someone
like that in to the James Gun universe, you want
to have someone who can really act. And I don't
know necessarily that she is one that would fit the bill.
Even if she might fit the bill physically, I don't
know if she'd fit the bill wise in terms of acting.
So I would be surprised that they would turn her
for a number of reasons.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
And I know people are saying Elizabeth to Becky and like,
you got it height wise. I've never read off of
her like I will crush you like you need you need,
you need, like, uh uh, what's her name?
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Jensen? That that was Jean Gray.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Thanky Jansen? Yeah, yeah, Jansen.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
You need Zenya on a top energy and it doesn't
have to necessarily be sexual, but it is.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
I will crush you with my five little man like.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
It's that kind of energy. And I've never personally gotten
that off of I could be wrong, and she's an
actress and she's a good actress, so who knows. Maybe
she can do all that, but I just you know
what I'm saying, It just didn't That's not necessarily where
my mind goes.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Yeah, I agree. I bet there's a bunch of CrossFit
athletes out there that could take a look at Maybe
one of them or two of them can act. Maybe
maybe so it'd be I mean, pro wrestlers show up
all the time, Winston, and they can act. Some of
them can act in these vignettes, some of them can
act in these scenes they do on these shows. Some
of them can't. So it's just a matter of finding
where are these athletes who can actually do it. And
(32:12):
we know now more than ever there's a lot of
blurring of the lines in between in between of entertainment,
So now would be the time that if you could
act and be a fantastic athlete, there are opportunities for
you more than ever to cross over and be in film.
So we'll see, We'll see what goes on with that which.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
There you know is six foot tall. I didn't realize that.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
That's why I said on the top, was like, I
will brush you, little man, one last.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Thing before we relieve James Gunn situation. What are your
thoughts on this? He put this up on his threads
the Wonder Twins and with Gleek, So is this just
for and the Alex Ross version of it? Is this
just for fun to tease us? Or do you think
he is opening the door to the Wonder Twins to
enter the world of the Superman's side. What are your
(33:00):
thoughts on this.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
That might be maybe that's what the casting is.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
The only thing is the only thing is that the
Wonder Twins aren't excessively tall. That's the only thing. I mean,
because you didn't actually put anything out about.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
He didn't say the won. He just posted the picture,
and a lot of people are like, well, what does
this mean?
Speaker 2 (33:25):
You know, so I'm sure they're coming. I mean, like
it's it's something something will end.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Up happening one way or the other.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
We've seen his love for that kind of deeper lore
in the first place, you know what I mean, And
the Wonder Twins have not really been utilized like that,
barring like a little.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Bit in.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Uh the Justice League Unlimited show, yes where, but but
instead of the Wonder Twins, it was like what Wind
Dragon or not Wind Dragon. It was that you did
have twins that had the Wonder Twins powers. They were
part of the Ultimate, but they weren't called the Wonder Twins.
They same power, same we got to what But it
(34:06):
wasn't quite that. And I think that was the last
major reference outside of like them in the books that
we've seen, you know, so, yeah, it'd be interesting.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Okay, Uh, yeah, I mean how many twins are there
that act? I mean, ram Rammy Mallick has a twin,
but it's a male twin. Are there any twins?
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Are they?
Speaker 1 (34:24):
But any? I don't know if there's any twins that
are fraternal twins that would act and be able to
do this that are young. So they probably get people
that look like each other. So there we go. We'll
see right, Yeah, we'll see all right.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
So we'll see what's that?
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Oh okay, I thought someone said something, sorry about that? Well,
what are your thoughts on this, guys? I mean, we
talked about Black Panther three, we talked about d C,
what we have the James Gun. Send in your questions,
thoughts and comments. Two hundred and thirty five of you
joining us right now live. We appreciate you madly send
in your love sending you questions, thoughts and comments. Will
answer them at the end of the show. We want
to hear from you here. Now that we've wrapped up
(35:04):
a little bit our comic book section of the show,
let's get into a little bit of the the meetings
here wins Today. Marshall, it's time for the Epstein Files.
Let's get it that's right. The Epstein files of the
show is here. That is Trump. That is a House
(35:25):
speak of the House there, Mike Johnson. These Epstein files
have passed the House. It was I think four hundred
and seventy nine to one, only one person voted against it,
and it has gone to the Senate, and it is
now unanimously passed in the Senate already, and it is
going to be sent to Trump to sign, possibly tonight,
(35:45):
that's what they're reporting on CNN. Possibly tonight the Epstein
file of the petition will be signed to release all
the files. Now, will they release all the files is
the next question for sure, especially with investigations going on here.
Pam Bondy going after Democrats because Trump told her to,
but no Republicans and not Trump, just only Democrats.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Trump's still calling in a hoax and all of this.
So your thoughts on all the madness going on here,
including MTG and Trump going at it online and there
today at the at the House of Representatives when she
was standing there defending the survivors of Epstein, Your thoughts
on where we're at with these files.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Man, So forgive me because I stopped listening for hap
seing I was pulling something up. Did you mention that
the Senate now in the last hour or two is
also unanimously agreed.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Yeah, I just said that it's past the Senate agree,
and so it's going That's what I'm saying. It's going
to Trump's desk to sign possibly tonight, which is.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Which he should.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
But I know part of what I'm seeing with CNN
that they're like, ah, we'll even do it fourteen minutes
ago the you know, him and the first Lady welcome
the Saudi crown Prince for a black tied dinner.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
So I wouldn't. Of course, I'm not worried about that
right now.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Did you see the bullshit where that some one of
the reporters just asked about it, he said, quiet piggy to.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Her, Yes, that was last night.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Yes, I just I know his fat assay talking bro.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
I know this little piggy that just posted about Grimace
and how Grimace is maga, like like, I know, YOII
McDonald's every motherfucking day ass ain't calling nobody, no piggy like,
get out of here with that shit. But I mean,
I truly believe yeah, and this is kind of messed
up I think more than anything, this is they they
bought as much time. I think they always knew that unfortunately,
(37:30):
this is gonna happen one way or the other based
off how things were going. I think he bought himself
as much time as he could so they can try
and do whatever they can to scrub as much as
they can. And I think even throwing the twenty thousand
emails because.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
That wasn't like.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
That wasn't like because the Democrats only released like eight
the first day and then we got bombarded with twenty
thousand plus the next day by the like the committee
that was mainly run by Republicans again to just be like,
here's a flood of information. So I just have this
gut feeling man that like, at this point, he's quote
(38:05):
unquote back into a corner.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
It would look really bad for him to veto this
right now.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
I think he's just gonna buy as much time as
he can and do it so they can continue to
then go out and go see nothing was there. Call
me a conspiracy another if you want. We have watched
him play these games in various ways previously. He intentionally
stirs up shit to buy himself time to get away
from whatever's going on, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Yeah, that's the frustrating thing of all of this. I mean,
the fact that it's happening so fast. Lets you know
that they were all on board with trying to delay
the release of these files to protect their dear leader.
But then all of a sudden, as soon as Trump says, yeah,
you guys should vote for it. It's four hundred and
seventy nine to one or something like that. So you know,
(38:52):
there is no how can I say this, There is
no all of a sudden, We shouldn't give them credit
for having a conscience. They were quite happy to block
the release of these files for as long as possible.
But now because the public tide has turned, because when
they released those emails, and by the way, they didn't
get those emails from the Oversight Committee. It was the
(39:12):
emails that they got from the Epstein family initial.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Eight, but then the twenty after were from the oversc Committee.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
Right right, So they first got but the most incriminating
ones were the ones they got from the Epstein family,
and then of course twenty thousand, and that was all
done to kind of overwhelm, try to overwhelm people, and
then of course they get found a Democratic congresswoman, sadly
Congress Representative Blasket going back and forth with Epstein. So
now they're just talking about her being the one that
(39:41):
was controlled by Epstein, no one else. You know, it's
all this nonsense. Give them talking points. But of course
we also heard some crazy shit like is he going
to go down on Bubba? Is Trump going down on Bubba?
Which we have, which that was from Epstein's brother, and
he said, well, Bubba isn't Bill Clinton, it's someone else,
who else? What does this mean? What does that mean?
(40:03):
When Trump is the dog that did not bark? What
does that mean? So there's so much in these files
that is incriminating as hell, and I agree with you.
I think they've been scrubbing these things for weeks and
there's no way he wanted to release these files, which
he seems to be showing nowadays, when like three days
ago he invited Lauren Bobert into the situation room to
(40:25):
try to intimidate her to take her name off the petition.
So this all feels really suspicious that everybody's on board
releasing these files and setting him through the Senate and
setting it for him to sign what is the overall
goal here and how much of this stuff is going
to be redacted, blacked out and not released. I hope
there are people on the case to get the actual
(40:48):
files fully redacted and fully.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Yeah, because I think I think the other problem that
worries me is well is the idea of like not
just the the the redaction of stuff, but using the
DOJ And you kind of mentioned this a little bit earlier, Well,
we actually have an open investigation. We can't release it
right now. So once the investigation's over, yes, because the
(41:15):
senators asked, here you go, here's whatever, and you again
have bought yourself more time, right because they can make
that claim that if we release it like that, we're actually.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
Going to screw over the investigation.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
Like there's a number of ways they've kind of set
themselves up to try and stop this from happening, and
it's incredibly fucking frustrating one way or the other. But
at the very least, I think that's why they also
realize this if any real Republicans had really said no
to doing this, like yeah, the vote, no, I'm not
(41:49):
gonna Like how bad does that look like? You're the
one that was like, no, we don't want to know
what the pedo files are, like you literally, you know,
despite despite Megan Kelly deciding she wants to do see,
this is what's funny about We talked about this.
Speaker 4 (42:04):
For those who don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Megan Kelly more or less in a discussion on her podcast,
was like, it's.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Not like a pedophile or you want like eight year olds.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
You know, you're talking about like fifty year olds and
they like you know, the maybe a little younger, but
they look like they legal, like blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (42:19):
The dif was Megan Kelly, and honestly, like genius comedians,
there was a genius comedian.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
That I saw that was like, you know all that
Epstein files, Epstein files and shit like pedophile Like technically
they're not pedophiles because a pedophile is this and then
like a whatever file is this, and whatever file is this,
and that's this is someone who's actual children, like puberty
age and like just post pubescent like right in that age.
And he goes, But you know why people don't talk
(42:45):
about that because the minute you know the difference, you
sound like a pedophile. Yeah, the same thing Megan Kelly
deciding to do that sounds like a monster.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
Yep, yep.
Speaker 4 (42:54):
Just who differentiates that? Bro?
Speaker 1 (42:56):
We under Let's let's put it up on the screen
for people who didn't catch it. She said this on
a show. I'm not going to play it because she's
probably crazy about her clips being played on YouTube shows.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
But she said on every other show, but I understand,
do what you gotta do, just in.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
Case, justin case. She said, I know somebody very close
to this case. Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was
not a pedophile. He was into the barely legal type.
He liked fifteen year old girls. He wasn't into like
eight year olds. There's a difference between fifteen year old
and a five year old. Now, you might go, she's
making a point, possibly, But then they found old clips
(43:30):
of her on her show saying about sexual assault allegations
against Russell Brand. Hey, she was sixteen. What about her culpability?
Oh my god, shut up. She was a minor, she
was a child. If you're making that argument, you probably
have some skeletons in your closet that you don't want
me to know about. And she said that in twenty
twenty three, and then there were clips that went all
(43:51):
the way back to her NBC show where she was
claiming any a young girl, a fourteen year old old
does not understand consent. But here she is because she
has to defend her MAGA situation, trying to find a
way out for Epstein to claim he wasn't a pedophile,
because she knows that possibly Trump is going to be
caught up in these files, possibly revealed sleeping with underage girls,
(44:13):
and they're trying to smooth the wheel a little bit
to make it seem as if that's not as bad
as sleeping with five year olds. And the thing is,
that's not a delineation you need to make either way.
These are not people that should be in a situation
where they're being, against their will made to have sex
with men older men. Do you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4 (44:34):
Yeah, I totally get it.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
And I mean, like this is there's a reason why
they I think why Trump never truly raked Gates across
the coals is because they're two pieces of the same pod.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
Bro, He's the same thing out here.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
He's you know what, I think there was like fifteen
sixteen seventeen, however it was and taking across stating shit
like that it's the same shit where they're just trying
to Yeah, so, I mean that's the thing. I am
glad that we finally gotten to this place, but I'm
I've been around the block too many times to feel
like we're going to truly get to the truth here.
(45:11):
I'm more skeptical of that than I am, you know,
thinking positively of it.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
So, yeah, I agree with you because it happened too fast,
because all of a sudden everybody's on board. It feels
really suspicious, and you have to question. Yeah, if you
have to question the decision making, you have to question
the one eighties that all of these Republicans have made.
When even a week ago in their mini committees, they
(45:39):
were turning down the possibility of voting on the Epstein
or releasing the Epstein files. Virginia Fox, whoever, that old
lady's name who runs that little mini committee, they tried
to get it to be released, and she shut it down.
All Republicans voted against it. Now, all of a sudden,
everybody's signing on to it. Now, I would the thing
that would sense up my spine is that if we
(46:02):
found out that all of these Republican representatives were essentially
told we've got rid of Trump's name from this stuff,
you can now vote for it to be released and
be safe if they did that knowing that Trump's name
has been redacted, which is messing with the files. That
to me is horrific and every single one of them,
(46:23):
if it gets exposed, should be kicked the fuck out
of Congress because that is.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
That is that is a conspiracy to cover up evidence
bro at this particular juncture. Like I was talking to
somebody that this is essentially Watergate on steroids. Yeah, this
massive cover over this ship is it's Watergate on fucking
steroids at this point, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
So that is worse than Watergate. I mean Watergate was
just a paranoid president who was gonna win the election anyway,
thinking he needed a leg up because he couldn't he
didn't believe that people loved him as much as they did,
or we're gonna vote for the numbers they did. That's
just trying to get information on your opponent. Again, it's
not right. It's certainly a bad thing, and they were
right to kick him out of the presidency. But this
(47:10):
thing is so much more worse. And you see some
I saw some Boris Sanchez on CNN and saying, well,
some of this stuff happened, you know, happened before he
was president. Who gives a fuck. I don't give fuck
when it happened. You don't want a pedophile as your president,
no matter when it happened. So to me, these are
these little excuses that they're trying to give in this
situation that I think is unsettling as hell, and we
(47:32):
need to find out all the people that were involved.
And if any of these files go missing, I hope
people like Anonymous are breaking. I don't want to encourage
them to break, because that's a felony, but I hope
people like Anonymous are getting a copy of these files
that are not redacted, that are fully open, so that
they can be released and people can talk about I mean,
I hope they've gotten a lot of files from the
(47:53):
Epstein estate so they can put these files out there
and these emails out there fully so people can see
what the pig picture really is, you know.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
Oh, I mean, look, let's just keep it a buck.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Remember, yeah, we live in a country. How many countries
around the world have we destabilized for our own good?
We get like movies or documentaries about it decades later,
once it really can't blow back anymore.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
Like I mean, the biggest joke because like.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
The whole war on drug shit and the idea that
we've essentially like that's what American Made was essentially about,
is where we're going to smuggle guns and drugs back
and forth and make our own worst enemies so we
have the excuse to.
Speaker 4 (48:32):
Go do whatever the fuck we want to do.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
Like it's so to think knowing that those are the
type of operations this country is run. I wouldn't be
surprised if if all sorts of nefarious forces are doing
what they can to kind of hide as much as possible,
but keep pushing, just like I just for the victims
sake and everything else, to just keep pushing and hopefully
one day the full truth comes out.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
And we and we know that. Like I think I
can speak with Wincent no matter who's involved, we don't
care a political party, we don't care what their delineation is.
Anyone needs to go.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
Clinton is on that bit said yes I don't want.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
To, And that to me is like also the difference
where I watch a lot of Magrophoe be like what
it bills on it.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
You're just gonna send build a jail.
Speaker 1 (49:15):
Yes, yes, all of them.
Speaker 4 (49:18):
I don't care. I love.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
If that motherfucker's on it would crush me. I would
be crushed. But I'm not in a cult. If somebody
did something that pinous, go to jail, go directly to jail.
Do notct two hundred dollars without passo, you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Yeah, yeah, So we'll see what happens with that. Just
wanted to touch base on that Winston as well. And
are you skeptical about this? Do you believe that MTG
Do you believe that she is actually having this battle
with the president or do you think this is a
little scorpion and the frog stuff Because she came out
today because Trump called her a trader, uh, and she
(49:59):
was really upset about that and even said today in
front of the in front of the victims of Epstein, like,
I'm no trader, I don't owe anything to Trump. I
campaigned for him. The real trader is the one who
ella is gives priority to foreign countries over America first.
So do you think this is a play by Marjorie
Taylor Green who a lot of people are saying that
(50:21):
the reason she's doing in this is because Trump wouldn't
endorse her to run for the Senate. Do you think
this is her move to kind of separate herself at
a time when Trump looks weak and move into pole
position for the MAGA party and possibly lead to a
presidential run in twenty twenty eight. What are your thoughts
of this?
Speaker 2 (50:36):
It feels it feels like strategically placed because it's here's
my thing. Yeah, I need to see consistent, legitimate proof,
and when there isn't something on the horizon for her
to gain out of it, for me to actually believe
and to trust her. So am I willing to let
(50:57):
her say whatever said shit for the time being if
it kind of helps move stuff along, Sure, But as
far as actually trusting Marjorie Sailor Green n not, not
when you've got elections coming up all that other stuff.
It also is kind of like, I appreciate the fact
that she's trying to maybe own some of her violent rhetorics,
(51:17):
but again this idea of like they've been threatening my
family's life and all that because of this. This heated
writer at Trump is said, so, you mean the thing
we've been saying for a while you kept denying and
saying no, we're making ship up that the political like
the things being said, specifically Trump using the word trader,
which she's brought up, has actively gotten some of the
(51:38):
worst people to then go out because she got she
got swatted. Yeah, and I believe that she both got swatted,
And I believe there.
Speaker 4 (51:47):
Was also or maybe I'm confusing a story, there was
a like.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
A pizza like like pipe bomb thing. It did, nothing
went off, but the idea of like when people will
send a pizza mysteriously to somebody.
Speaker 4 (52:00):
Like mess with them and make a threat and all
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
It's not to say that she couldn't have seen the
light and reform right, but the timing of everything and
the fact that this has only been going on for
a couple of weeks. I think, like anything else, you
have to when you wrong somebody, I don't just have
to automatically forgive you. Yeah, continue to prove that that
you have really changed who you are and you're a
different person, and then over time you can earn my
(52:24):
trust back. But literally, if you do that, like you said,
the scorpion of the front you were asking to it stopped.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Yeah, Well, this just wins to just before we leave
the files. This just came up on CNN. I want
to play it for you. I don't think we'll get
in trouble for playing this one, but Jake Tapper is
reading perhaps a way for them to get out of
releasing the files.
Speaker 6 (52:43):
The legislation as it stands clearly says, quote, the Attorney
General may withhold or redact personally personally identifiable information of
victims or victims personal and medical files unquote, and any
material that depicts injury, physical abuse, death, or child sexual abuse,
or would jeopardize an active investigation or national security.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
There it is, so they put that in the fucking thing.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
The only thing that needed to be redacted is any
of the victims that did not want to pull their
name forth right. That is the only thing that needs
to be reacted. The rest of that shit needs to
be out there. But that's my point. That's where I'm
genuinely concerned, yep.
Speaker 4 (53:26):
That that's going to continue. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
I know, I know, it's just it's just concerns me
on so many levels. But we'll see. We'll keep monitoring
this thing, and you know, I'll keep tweeting about it
for God's sakes, and hopefully we'll h we'll be talking
about it a more positive light down the road as
these things get revealed and we get more and more
of this information, because this fight, you know, this fight
is far from over on this stuff. The Democrats want
(53:52):
this to ride this into the midterms. The Republicans want
to try to get ahead of it now to kill it.
The momentum is strong, though, and hopefully, and of course
I think we have to not forget that there are
real victims here. They showed up in front of the
House of Representatives at that press conference today with Thomas Massey,
Rocanna and MDG and others like it's important to remember,
(54:13):
and they released that video with those ladies showcasing what
they experienced. If you haven't seen the video, it is
just utterly stunning and horrifying and humbling to watch and
you just go, yeah, these are real victims here, and
these are the people we need to focus on much
more than the political mud slinging. There are real people
in the middle of all this who need to have
(54:33):
justice delivered for what they endured, for God's sake. So
so we'll see, we'll see as we go along. All right, Well,
let's move on to some other stuff. Here, Winston, a
little more happier news. It is week eleven in the NFL.
Winston A. Mar So, you Cowboys got a much needed
victory destroying the Raiders last night. They are now in
(54:53):
the playoff mix. Here we also had the Eagles taking
care of the Lions sixteen to nine. The Broncos beat
the Chiefs, who now look like they might not even
make the playoffs. The Ravens continued, they're sent and there
now at five hundred, have to beat in the Browns.
The forty nine Ers crushed the Cardinals. The Rams got
four interceptions on Sam Darnold and won that AFC West
(55:14):
or sorry, NFC West matchup. The Jaguars crushed the Chargers.
Now we don't know what we have in either of
those teams. The Steelers rode out Aaron Rodgers' injury to
beat the Bengals. The Packers beat the Giants. The Bears
squeaked by the Vikings. The Texans came back on the Titans.
The Bills destroyed the Buccaneers in Buffalo. The Panthers beat
(55:35):
the Falcons. My commanders shipped the bed against the Dolphins.
And the Patriots kept winning at nine to two now
over the Jets. So what stands out to you from
this week's actions and the storylines coming out of those games.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
I mean, one, I didn't think the Dolphins would put
together four wins.
Speaker 4 (55:51):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
If I'm just keeping it a buck, I think looking
at the Panthers and Falcons, I mean, you lost Pennix
and you gotta wonder. It's wild because it's only his
second year in the league, which you got to wonder
if that's a career because this is like the fourth
injury to collectively both knees. I believe he's had both
knees go out and this is number four.
Speaker 1 (56:15):
You gotta wonder. This is first year fully starting and
he's already right yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
Right, but I think it was what one in one
in high school, two in college, So that's that you
already had three Like that might be it already, which
would be really sad you really didn't get to see
him get going.
Speaker 4 (56:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:34):
I mean, good for the Bills, you know, I guess
you kinda were able to right the ship. And I
and and and again, I stand by the fact that
it was a rivalry game, even if it was the
shitty Dolphins that like that you lost to, but I
don't know if they have enough firepower to go the
distance because you essentially then need Josh Allen to play
like that for the rest of the year. Because the
(56:55):
Patriots are legit. I know they've played a lot of
cupcake teams on one of the but they look legitis
fuck and they already took it to the Bills so
that they didn't just play cupcakes. They won when it
mattered as well against a stronger opponent within your division
of all people, against the reigning MVP. So like, yeah,
it'll be interesting to see how far the Bills go.
(57:16):
And you're right, I think the real thing that's the
most the biggest question mark, I mean, shouts out to
my Cowboys winning last night, and that defense looks completely different,
so they can make a playoff run now, but it's
gonna go far. I think the real question is are
the Chiefs legitimately gonna not make the playoffs? They looked
so bad now, mind you. The one thing we have
(57:38):
all universally agreed about the Broncos that defense is the
best in the league. They're insane. Their defense is so
good and like even though Sean Payton is like an
offensive savant. The one thing that he does more than
anything is put together a team with a strong ass
defense like Stane is probably gonna win Defensive Player of
the Year like they are able to hold teams down
(58:02):
that have offensive firepower. So the question mark for the
Broncos is gonna be ken Bonicks not screw it up.
So can he essentially do what Peyton Manning did to
win his last Super Bowl with the Broncos was let
this world world beating defense do it for you, and
you just need to hold on for dear life, hold
on to the Bronco as long as you can. But
(58:24):
I think the question is are the Chiefs actually going
to make the playoffs?
Speaker 4 (58:29):
Man? And I worry.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
I'm not saying that Eagles won't make the playoffs. They
definitely will, but they also lost Lane Johnson. I also
wonder if they are going to They will make the playoffs,
but are they going to all of a sudden barely
squeak out the division or or end up in a
wild card scenario? If because they've said that, what when
Lane is not on the field, Jalen Hurts is like
four to nine, like not having Watson actually is a
(58:53):
big problem for the Eagles offensive line. So I'm worried
about that. I mean, I shouldn't wory about the eoloung
and shit, but you know what I mean, Like, if
they're trajectory was one thing.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Does a trajectory change.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
If you were an Eagles fan, There's there's things to
worry about here. Yeah, I don't disagree with you one
hundred percent. The Chiefs thing is really fascinating. I mean,
the Colts, they got the Colts, and the Colts have rested,
They've had two weeks to get ready for this game,
and they are going to play them in Kansas City.
If the Colts beat the Chiefs in Kansas City, that
(59:24):
is a massive shot to their playoffs. And then after
that they're at Dallas, which Dallas looks reborn now. Then
they're at the Texas. Then they're playing the Texans at home,
and the Texans defense is waking up again. Then they've
got a Chargers team who is very jaquelin id. You
know what Chargers team is going to show up. So
the next four weeks could is I think are gonna
(59:45):
definitely tell us if the Chiefs make these playoffs or not.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
Let me see something real quick, because I want to check.
I need to check the So we're how many games
behind right now? They're eight and two? Oh, you look
at your three or like three and a half games behind.
So in order to pull that off, not only Woul
Dallas essentially kind of need to win out.
Speaker 4 (01:00:08):
So odds are there winning the division no matter what.
It's not over. But if there are, odds are there
winning the division no matter what.
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
But if the Eagles say we're playing them this week,
and if this defense is that good and you're losing
Lane Johnson, you now have Quentin Williams and Kitty Clark
and all that kind if they're able to like kind
of get to hurt or really keep Saquon shut down
and everything else like that, you could lose that one.
(01:00:36):
The Bears have been kind of on a role. If
the Bears are actually serious, and you can potentially lose
that one too. And I think the only the two
games you have the potential to lose are the Charters,
but it depends because they're so hot and cold, so
probably not and then the Build but everybody else, You're
gonna beat the Raiders. You'll beat the Commanders twice sorry, Roca.
Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
No, we suck. Please beat us twice.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
So that's the only way that the Cowboys are really
going to catch So odds are they win the division,
But it's possible that they don't lock up the one seed,
like that was their aim, you know what I'm saying.
And so then you're kind of playing in some sort
of scramble one way or the other, like it would
be really interesting and you're talking.
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Talk about the.
Speaker 4 (01:01:16):
Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
We got a rough road ahead because we have to
play Eagle, Chiefs, Lions. I think you can easily sweep
the last four games of the Viking, Chargers, Commanders, and Giants, yes,
but those for these three this next three weeks will
really test who we are and if we can do anything.
But then, yeah, you're right. The last little bit to
talk about again is circling back to the Chiefs. They
(01:01:37):
got to play us in two weeks. They gotta play
the Broncos again, like you mentioned the Texans and the Colts,
Like there's a lot of heavy hitters that are trying
to make a name for themselves and they smell blood
in the water. You're on a two games in the street,
the Bills and the Broncos. Bro people will come at
your neck to say they beat chefs down.
Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
The thing is that this is one of the most
interesting years in the NFL ever because there is no
juggernaut team. There isn't There is no team right now
that doesn't have questions. Yes, the Patriots are nine to two,
but they're led by a second year quarterback in Drake
May and Vraber. We've now has choked in the playoffs.
So are they going to be able to keep it
together when shit gets tight in the playoffs? Will the
(01:02:20):
kid have the experience and the ice in his veins
to be able to do what Jayden did leading them
into a championship game from there in their conference, or
possibly Brady leading them into a super Bowl as Brady did.
I think in his second year as quarterback there of
the Patriots, will he be able to do that? There's
a lot of questions the Broncos just said, Bo Nicks.
Is the question that the Colts Daniel Jones, is the
(01:02:42):
question that the Steelers He's hurt now Rogers and hanging
on Josh. The Bills have been jecculine, Hide the Chargers
of Jaquelin and hide the Jaguars a jackal lyide. The
Texans are jecqulin Hyde, and the Chiefs look lost. The
Ravens may actually be the team that is slowly going
to start stopping through everybody, And wouldn't that be an
incredible turnaround story. You look at the Eagles. The Eagles
(01:03:04):
now look a little suspect with their injuries. The Rams,
You've still got Matt Stafford, who looked very human against
those Seahawks. If Donald doesn't throw the four interceptions, the
Seahawks win that game in La.
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
Then the Bears, gig, that's a big. That's a big.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
If I know it's a big, I know you're right
it's a big. But I think I think Sam Donald
never wants to see Mike Shula again. He is zero
to four against Mike shula defenses. The Chicago Bears. What
do we have in Caleb? There's seven and three. I
don't know. The Buccaneers with Mayfield, the Seahawks with Donald.
The Packers look good, but then don't look good the
forty nine ers. Is brock perty going to rite the ship?
(01:03:40):
The Lions are eighth right now in the conference, eighth
right now, and so at six and four, So there's
so many questions on every team that we have no
idea who is going to win the Super Bowl. It
is one of the craziest years I've ever seen in
the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
I'm getting real tired though, of the Bucks just getting
to go for being the best of the worst, because
that NFC South remains dog do you and like you
know what I'm saying, where like there's one team that's
kind of giving them a little bit of the business.
It's typically been the Bucks and the Falcons.
Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
The last few years.
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
Yeah, but it's essentially just the Bucks are like, well,
we're better than the other shitty teams in our division,
and that's it. It's crazy that they're the four seed,
even though like they were very good to start and
they have been just the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
Man, if I'm an NFL team, do I reach out
to Tom Brady? If I'm the Vikings, do I say
Tom come play for us? We're well back away from
being a contender in the playoffs?
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
No, because I don't even think Baker's the problem. I
think the real issue with the Bucks is that they
got here with an injury bug worse than anybody.
Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
You haven't had Bucky Irvan.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
You haven't had a Mike Evans, you haven't had Chris,
you haven't had a number of defensive players, you haven't
had a number of line players. Like it's the fact
that Baker is able to continue to will victories with
nobody on the field that is supposed to be in
first team reps is like insane.
Speaker 4 (01:05:08):
But best ability ability is your availability.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
So yeah, yeah, Joe Kinson, you guys are blind the culture,
super Bowl famous. Get the fuck out of here, Daniel
or not?
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Not With Daniel Jones, you have you have who either
way is the MVP and Jonathan Taylor. Yeah, until Daniel Jones,
because it's the same thing I said about Marjori Taylor Green.
Until we have been through this long enough and you've
truly proven you have turned a corner. I know one
is about morality and one is about play. The same
thing with Daniel DoLS. I'm not going to trust him
to lead the Colts to the Promised Land when every
(01:05:42):
time he's done a season like this and had a
good quarterback in Saquon getting in there when it was time, Yeah,
he completely shipped the bed. So until I see him
do something different, which is why don't blame people when
they say that about Dak Dak is again after last night.
He's not gonna end up back in the NVP conversation,
but he's playing some of the best ball that he's
(01:06:03):
played ever. Until jack Star's winning playoff games, anybody gives
a shit until Josh Allen can beat that Patrick Mahomes
in the playoffs, and nobody gives a shit until Lamar
Jackson can win in the playoffs, and nobody give a
shit like it's so no, Daniel Jones ain't shit.
Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
The Colts ain't shit until he proved it right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
And look, beating a broken Chiefs team this weekend isn't
even gonna be enough. A few weeks ago, I thought
it would be enough to legitimize the Colts. Not now,
not the way Kansas City is playing right now. I
don't think so. But they've got with the next what
seven games, listen, the rest of their season are is
going to show us where the hell they are going
(01:06:40):
into the playoffs. They they're at the Chiefs. Then they've
got the Texans who are fighting for their playoff lives
at the Jaguars, who are flying for the playoffs lives
at the Seahawks. Then they've got San Francisco, the Jaguars again,
and the Texans again. So this is a murderer's row
of an ending to a season that the Colts have.
So if they're for real, we'll know by the end
(01:07:00):
of the season if they're for real or not, because
this is a good testing ground for the Colts over
the next like eight weeks to show us if they've
really got the sauce to be a Super Bowl contender.
It's gonna be fascinating to watch, you know, which is fair?
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
And I also understand that the Colts being forth and
super Bowl odds, yeah, because again Jonathan Taylors have an
MVP season.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
Looks at what their record is.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Like, I sure, but there's a reason that they're fourth,
you know what I'm saying, like that they're not they're
not the favorite four or reason because I guarantee you
why they're fourth with that record and the way that
they have won some of these games.
Speaker 4 (01:07:35):
Is what is Daniel Jones gonna do?
Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
You know what I'm saying, That's literally what the question
mark is because the one game you took Jonathan Taylor
out of the mix, what happened to Daniel Jones. My
dude turned back to a pumpkin for a minute. It's
like the sill start to wear off.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
He's like, oh shit.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
The next week, boom he turned back into the carriage
and I'm like, I cool, but again until he has
proven in the playoffs, and nobody care what Dak is doing.
Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
And nobody care what Daniel is doing.
Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
No nobody cares because you haven't proven it when it matters.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
One hundred percent the truth, one hundred percent the truth.
All right, let's get into the questions. WinCE, because no know,
we got to wrap up the show soon. Wiley Todd
jumping in and saying, hey, guys, I saw Wicked last night.
I really liked it, but whoof that beginning felt really
bad to me. You will see when you see it.
I've read that in a few reviews that the first
act is kind of wonky and not that strong. So
(01:08:28):
we'll see. I see it in less than two hours,
Thank you, Wiley. Paul Hitchcock says Snyder's coming back of
Saudi By's WB due to MBS loving what Snyder did
to Jimmy Olsen and Batman v. Superman topical. Giving what
Trump said at the White House, Well hold your horses.
It came out A variety reported today that David Allison
(01:08:49):
or Larry Allison is making deals basically David and Larry's
I'm making deals with other Saudi Arabian money and they're
gonna bid seventy one billion dollars for Warner Brothers, which
is insane. So this is all ugly, man. I don't
want anything to do with this, dude.
Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Oh god, media is dead.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Yeah, it's all rich dudes trying to fuck with creatives. Man,
it sucks. It sucks on so many levels.
Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
So everyone just going, yeah, well, I'm gonna get my
shadowy guy to give me seventy one billion, how about that?
Reggie Brown says, I'm still hoping that Denzel will be
introduced as Magneto in Black Panther.
Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Yeah, but the amount of the amount of vitriol that'll
come out of the idea of doing that. Even if
you went and got an awesome paring and get like
John Carlo to be Or, well, I guess you can't
anymore because he's Sidewinder.
Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
But like or, he's one of the he's one of
the part of the Cobra group.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
But I I would have lived for a John Carlo
and Denzel as a professor X and Magneto, but people
would have raised all hell like I don't even with
Dentel being Denzel, I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
I don't think it's happened.
Speaker 1 (01:10:03):
Yeah, I don't think it's happening either. I think a
boat has sailed now for sure. Doctor Meliper says, Hey, yeah,
after darnold shit, the bead bet your house and neither
the Rams or Eagles to represent the NFC. Maybe I
don't know, to be honest. Oh and the Chiefs with
the second best AFC odds to win Super Bowl is bonkers.
Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
Yeah, that to me is I think the same the
opposite of what we just said about Daniel Jones. And
then it's because they have been in nine straight.
Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
AFC Championship games.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
They've been to what five Super Bowls in the last
however many years, Like I part of the reasoning for
that is because they have proven it again and again
and again.
Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
And on top of that, the year that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
They were really going bad and they they ended up
they won their division, but they were fourth, so they
had to go on the road to get back to
the Super Bowl. That by itself was enough for people
to go, oh bro, they still got the sauce whatever,
until they straight up lose.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Yeah. I think there's gonna be upsets on both sides
of the ball, of both sides of the of the conferences.
Once the playoffs start. I think teams we think are
gonna win, they're gonna get blown out. I've seen this
before and it's going to be interesting to see. And
you don't know. It could be the Packers and Ravens
right now in the Super Bowl. We don't know. E
has thirteens. That should my giants hire Mark Mike McCarthy
(01:11:23):
as the head coach. I would say, no, you want
young fresh blood, not old blood. What are your thoughts here?
Speaker 4 (01:11:30):
Win?
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
I guess he could up to you. He did it
one point. Like, Look, I will give Mike McCarthy credit.
How many twelve win seasons that the Cowboys have while
he was, you know, on their payrolls? So there is
something to be said about his ability in that regard.
Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
But I don't know, man, I I don't know. I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
Yeah, we'll see, we'll see Cowboys fan nine two. Hi, guys,
Happy Tuesday. How about the Cowboys wins today?
Speaker 4 (01:12:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
There you go. Man see Black, says broken, statising playing
Jane Gray. I mean, that's what Jeff had reported way
back when, but I thought that was already.
Speaker 4 (01:12:13):
I thought they were talking about another character.
Speaker 1 (01:12:16):
They've talked about five different characters that she might be playing,
so who knows. But her showing up at Avengers dooms
Day is interesting. It feels to me because there was
rumors that she's gonna be possibly the villain of the movie,
and if she is, it makes sense for her to
show up in Doomsday and possibly Secret Wars because we're
heading towards battle World, so I think that would be possible.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
See See, I had heard that she was being like
I don't remember the name of the character, but like punishers,
kind of like female like counterpart, sidekick, because she's also
apparently in brand New Day.
Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
So like that's that's where my mind's going, you know.
What I mean? Is more than that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:51):
Yeah, it's all up in the air. We will see
for sure, Fionda, George Field, and George thank you. Just
wondering do you think it would be in bad tay
for t'chila to be recast considering Chadwick's passing passing and
the cast was still grieving as lost. Do you think
the cast and Ryan Coogler would have wanted that to happen?
So do you mean do you mean at the time,
(01:13:12):
I would say yes, it was bad taste at the time.
Now I think it's overdue. What do you think?
Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
I agree?
Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
And that to me is where a lot of people
get bent out of shape about the lack of the
casting and where hashag recast O Chila kind of came from. Yeah,
there were some folks, mainly black folk, that were like, no, no, no, no, no,
I don't I don't want to have any sort of
break on that, both because there's more to childa stories
to tell and how intually is but also I know
where this is going. If they do this now, then
(01:13:42):
they're never going to recap like and and and that
was the concern. I still think it was the right
thing to do, especially when you talk to that cast
and crew. They were not ready to have somebody come
in and do that. So I think that that was
in proper taste because of the ones that were actually
making the movie how they felt. Yeah, but it has
(01:14:05):
been long past due, like the fact that you had
like Games where T'Challa was written out and you were
using Tachaca or X for ninety seven in the same way,
like it got out of hand.
Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Yeah, yeah, agreed. I think I think in this other
follow up says also, I would think Kevin Fig you
would understand their feelings about it. Yes, I think, as
once alluded to, I think it's the number one thing.
I think Fig you checked with them and said, what
do you want to do Ryan, do you feel comfortable
recasting or do you want to go with a different story?
And I think Ryan and the whole crew, I think
he took the pulse of the crew. Maybe they had
(01:14:37):
conversations with the other actors and the decision was made
to not recast him and to honor him in the
movie because it was so fresh since his death, and
so they went that route. Was it the right route?
I don't know. I think it's all a matter of subjectiveness.
You could have said, well, by mourning him, then you've
killed him off and he can't ever come back. Well,
(01:14:57):
we'll see, we'll see what the end results going to
be when that film comes out. Coach Man nine two
also says fun fact Kansas Kent's Ken's lost last year
in the Super Bowl to the Eagles forty to twenty two. Yeah,
we know that, cowboys RELAXJ thoughts on the last episode
of Welcome to Dary, And what do you think of
the show so far? I still haven't caught up. I
(01:15:18):
will watch it tomorrow and I love the show so far.
Are you watching it?
Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
No, because I don't really watch horse stuff. I've never
seen an it at all, so I don't know about
all that. I've heard good things, but I ain't trying to
be scared about no, damn clown.
Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Yeah, Doug, Developers.
Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
You don't laugh like that. How dare you do.
Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
Not count out the Colts? Daniel Jones won a playoff
game against the thirteen and four Vikings team in twenty
twenty two. That winning experience counts for something. Yeah, okay, yeah,
go ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
And Dak Prescott beat Tom Brady thirty one to fourteen
in the playoffs as well, And you know what happened
immediately after he got completely wopped by the forty nine ers.
I don't care one game. It is not a thing
like again. Back has won two playoff games his rookie year.
He won the one back then and then ended up
with Aaron Rodgers kind of peeking out a win on him. Yeah,
(01:16:14):
and then you have that, so nah, I don't I
don't care one in one. The first of all, that
means he's only been to the playoffs how many times?
One time is the first thing to take from that,
and the second thing from that again you had to
help me take one Barkley and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
Yes, you have Daniel Jones, but again until I see
Daniel push string it together, don't matter.
Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
And they beat a Vikings team that was led by
choke artist Kirk Cousins, So that that isn't that big
of a deal that they beat him, because then they
because then they played Philadelphia in the next game, and
Daniel Jones threw for a whopping one hundred and thirty
five yards, you know, and they got beat thirty eight
to seven. So to me, that just shows you what
you get with Daniel Jones.
Speaker 4 (01:16:59):
Jared J.
Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
John and I have you heard anything about the Henry
Cavil Voltron movie? To me, with no news about it, it
sounds like it's going to be not good. Yeah, I
would say possibly.
Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:17:09):
You know, I feel bad for Henry Man. He can't
seem to find that thing. And I don't know if
the Warhammer movie is even going to be good so
or the Highlander movie. I have no I have no
expectations that any of these movies are going to be good.
You know. I just feel bad for Henry because I
think he's a good actor. Fiona George was back saying,
also considering the second film, the film touches a lot
(01:17:30):
on grief into Challa's death. I just wonder how they
would go about recasting to Challa. Well, time heals all wounds, right, Winston,
I mean, it's it's time people wanted.
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Ben Ben cast time that you've had plenty of time
to respect again those that were directly affected by it.
I think also the idea of like how you go
bout it? We kind of touched on that a little bit.
The idea of either a variant or aging up to Saint.
Those are the two things that people are like kind
(01:18:01):
of looking at.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
We'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
One way or the other. But I think there's there's
more than enough time to be able to do that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
I agreed. Agreed. kJ says, did you learn anything new
about Eddie Murphy that he didn't already know in his
new Amazon documentary? Well, it's on Netflix. Brother, it's not Amazon.
It's on Netflix. Did you see it Being Eddie? Oh No,
I loved it. I've seen it twice now. It's so funny.
I think what I learned is the last thirty minutes,
the last twenty minutes of it focuses on the SNL,
(01:18:29):
him coming back to SNL, and there was so much
behind the scenes stuff that I didn't know about. That's
what I learned about the about him, but about his life.
I know pretty much a lot about Eddie because that
was my number one guy growing up. I don't know
if there was anything new that I learned, oh oh oh,
that he just wasn't never into drugs, And even when
(01:18:53):
he had the opportunity to talk, he tells a great
story about being at a party with Robert Williams and
high of their and he knew that people showed up
at the party, it was time for him to leave.
And he has never had an issue saying no to
all of that stuff. And one line he says in
the documentary, this doesn't spoil it, but he says, the
(01:19:15):
greatest gift I was ever given was not my comedic
sensibilities or my talent as a comedian. It was the
ability to love myself, and I just love it, and
loving myself has kept me out of so many bad situations.
And I have seen so many of my fellow entertainers
die or pass away or kill themselves because they didn't
love themselves and put themselves in dangerous positions. I'm just
(01:19:37):
lucky that I have that as an innate sense of
who I am. That's an amazing thing. Whence that hit
me like a diamond, I saw.
Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
No, No, that is because I think that was the
big thing that everybody was talking about that was so sad,
was the idea that you know, as funny and very
funny as Robin and Williams, was that he was the
epitome of that whole saying about like the tears of
a clown and types stuff where he was able to
(01:20:05):
make so many people laugh, but he was hurting so
badly on the inside that it eventually, as we saw,
manifested at the end, rest in peace.
Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
So for sure, I'm two fly campuses Uh, Daniel Jones
one to one, DAK two and five playoff record lo
l DAK overrated.
Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
No, because I already said that they both can be
trusted in the playoffs and Dak has played infinitely better
football than Daniel Jones in his career, so not really.
But again I said they both cannot be trusted until
the playoffs happened. But thank you for the might to fly.
Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
Says Roca. I got a fever and the only prescription
is to know if Sidney Sweeney is still getting it
from both sides. Figuratively speaking, Yes, I misspoke on Christo yesterday.
I just meant that. I just meant that you can't win.
That's all I meant there in that picture. But thank you,
uh Fiona, George says, saying that great show today, guys,
(01:21:01):
thank you for appreciate you hanging out with us. Let's
hit the stream laps, run out of here. I'm two.
Flam also says, boycott the MCU until proper king to'
chala is back, not that Surrey or baby to Challa. Bs.
We have very limited representation and Figy, Figy's been irking
me for a while with his refusal to recast to Chaa. Well,
(01:21:22):
I don't think it's just Figy. I also think Googler
has a say in this. What do you think with.
Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Yeah, I think it's a combination of things.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
I think it was initially a means to really kind
of do the right thing as far as protecting like
legacies and emotional sensibilities and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:21:41):
I think it just went too far.
Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Yeah, And so I also still resent people that are
that angry about the idea of sure He taking the mantle,
knowing it was something that has done in the past,
because to me, the way a lot of that read,
if the concern was I am just concerned, this is
going to take us down a rabbit hole where we
will never get to Chala back. I would hear that
(01:22:04):
argument all day, and I would acknowledge that argument. A
lot of the stuff that I saw with recast T'Challa
and all that kind of stuff, I saw a lot
of sexism, because again, I'll give a fuck if sure
He was the black pant, I'll give a fuck about
that shit. The black pant is supposed to be a man,
He's supposed to be a killing And I'm just like,
that is where I have a fucking problem. So like, so, nah,
(01:22:26):
you can you commit, Like again, it's time. But I'm
very when people were so quick to dismiss the idea
of Shurrey taking the mantle. I was like, check yourself,
because it sounds like you're kind of going down a
potential path and you don't realize it. But again, it
is more than time that t'challo came back.
Speaker 1 (01:22:45):
Yeah, yeah, I agree, Tim says Johnny Boy, checking in again,
started driving to survive. Yet on Netflix, onto my real
cut now I have not, Sorry, buddy, I will I
promise onto my real question. What are your thoughts on
Ashley Padilla so far on SNL she's been killing it
or for season of oh one hundred percent. I was
just gonna say it's her set. I saw her potential
(01:23:07):
last season, and so I'm glad that things have opened
up to showcase what Ashley can do. She is absolutely
walking in the same shoes as Jan Hooks, as Kristin
Wigg as Amy Poehler. These like amazing talents that can
play all the different characters. I mean, Chloe Fieman was
(01:23:27):
doing that last year, so Ashley doing it this year.
I am very excited to see what more she's going
to be able to do. And clearly the cast loves
her and the writers love writing for her, and she's
up for anything, and that's a that's a good thing
to see. She was great.
Speaker 4 (01:23:41):
I haven't been watching. I literally have not watched an episode.
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Well, I put on the Bad Bunny episode before and
I got about halfway through, so I'm very behind. So
she's doing l I'm happy to hear that because I
I personally was just turned off by the mass firing
slash exodus that happened, Like I was, you took out
a lot of like my favorites who I thought were
actually consistent and left a lot of people in that.
I was like, okay, So it's been hard for me
(01:24:09):
to want to turn on the show. But if you
guys are saying she's that good, she was not one
of the ones that I was concerned about, so I
have to check it out.
Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
I think she's good. I think the show this year
has not been good, but she has been good. That's
what I think. The show feels to me like you're
watching Groundlings on a Sunday night and not not in
a great way, you know. So I think Ashley is
killing it with what they're asking her to do.
Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
I just I'll tell you that it's funny though, with
Michael Michael Longfellow being gone, I was like, I think
they were just like Michael was just tired of playing
double duty because him and Jane Wickline look like the
same person. They literally looked like the male and female
versions of each other, so I literally thought they because
you would never really see it on stage together.
Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
So yeah, if I was going to get rid of one,
it would be her over longfellow. But I mean that
being that she's barely in this season, so I think
there's a reason for that. It is she is a
NEPO baby, so you know, she kept her job. Fred
tasks to be fourteen, says, Hey Spillers, I'd be up
for a variant o'challa and to have Surrey watch him
(01:25:12):
die again. Jesus Also, Hollywood five seven eight, really five seven?
I thought Chris Evans was at least six foot till
I saw him next to Emmett Smith, who's five to nine,
and they were the same height. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
Yeah, small dude, not not small small, but like he's
not like most of your action stars. Cavill is one
of the rare exceptions. Corn Sweat is one of the
rare exceptions. Most of your favorite actions stars are pretty small.
Tom Cruise, Yeah, Brad Pitt is a particularly tall I
think he's like five ten, five eleven. Yeah, so like
he's tall lure than others, but he's not tall tall,
(01:25:47):
you know what I mean. A lot of your favorites, man,
they're pretty short.
Speaker 1 (01:25:52):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, Doug Developer, Hey, guys, I want to
believe in character redemption. I think MTG public apologizing on
CNN for a toxic behavior to take stones, especially when
Magazi's apology is weakness. Now she has to continue to
earn it and I'm rooting for her.
Speaker 4 (01:26:07):
Yeah, I mean, you got a.
Speaker 1 (01:26:08):
Great space to see if this is possible. It's so
funny because like both this week, Winston and we're only
what the second day in the week or third day
of the week, depending if you consider Sunday the first
day of the week. We have had Alison Mack and
MTG both try to do these redemption tours to claim
that they've changed from getting out of a cult and
(01:26:29):
they want to be seen in a different way now.
But like everything, it takes time. There have to be
multiple examples of them really turning the corner and standing
up to this stuff. And so we will see who's
telling the show who isn't, Because right now I can't
help but side on the fact that it feels like
both of them are being opportunistic to try to get
back in the public's eye and be back in favor.
(01:26:50):
But it time will tell if they really legitimately have
turned the corner or turned over a new leave.
Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Yeah, and that's the thing I do. I want this
to be genuine, But of course I do. Why Why
would I Why would I want anything other than that.
I would want for to have somebody to be less divisive,
less racist, less you know, yeah, anti semitic, islamophobic, homophobic
like MTG has been all of the things.
Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
So of course I.
Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
Would want her to be a better person and to
and to be on to turn a new leaf. However,
there's a difference between ooh I made a little boo boo,
I forgive you right away versus you actively were a problem. Yeah,
you have to earn back that trust. So I hope
it happens. I need to see it in the long run.
Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
I agree, yep, absolutely. One last one Wiley tells Love
SNL and I thought Glenn was great, but the skits
were not good. Reading the Loan Michael's memoir, it's really
good and insightful. Oh, I should read that I like
reading stuff on SNL. Thanks for the suggestion, Wiley. Yeah,
I thought Glenn was good. I mean, ironically he was
good on the weekend that his film was tanking. But
I thought he's a he's a good actor. It's it's
(01:27:59):
fun to He's not a great actor, he's a good actor.
So he was good. He's up for stuff, you know,
So it was fun to see him. All right, But
there you go, that's our show. Let's wrap it up.
Speaker 4 (01:28:08):
There.
Speaker 1 (01:28:08):
I got to get to a screening wins today. He's
got a roll on to hang out with his to
take care of his lovely pup. So Winston, thanks so much.
