Speaker 1 (00:00):
And welcome to the very first Judy Frequency podcast. The
Judy Frequency designed to be spoken word discussions and interviews
complimenting music and tips from Judy Radio. If you listen
to Judy Radio on judyradio dot com or in the
live three sixty five apps soon to be other apps,
you already know we played great music. But it's time
for a great podcast exploring the rhythms of the human experience.
(00:23):
And this is a brief intro. My name is Eric Paulson,
I'm Anne Krauxton, and we created Judy mainly because Ann
said there should be a station with all the music
I like. And you're very into wellness and energy. Why
don't you just describe in a few words here, Okay,
maybe more than a few, exactly how Judy came to be.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Well, Eric, you've been in radio and doing your own podcasts,
and so radio has been a major part of your life.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
But indeed it has.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Sorry, music has always been a major part of my
life in various forms, whether it's playing the piano or
singing or dance. I've always loved music. I thought, wouldn't
it be cool to have my own radio station that
I could listen to all of my favorite music, and
Eric was able to help me do that.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
And it's for everybody who loves great music. In a
radio sense, it's the adult album alternative format. The genre
of music varies though quite a bit. On JUDY, we
were expanding the library all the time. Some of the
core artists on JUDY include the likes of Say Sarah
McLaughlin and Billie Eilish, but you also have Coldplay, you
have Ellie Goulding, a lot of Enya and Evan Essence,
(01:33):
which two very different sounds, are both very good artists.
For music, you have everything from the Fujis with Lauren
Hill to Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, some Hall and Oates,
but also some is It Haven Yeah, They're all capitalized,
and that guy jivaka Jake Yeah, songs from him, Imagen Heap,
Indigo Girls, Ingrid Michaelson going back a few years, with
(01:55):
the likes of Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, Lady Gaga,
Lily Allen, Maggie Rogers, but Michael Jackson too. So good
variety of good artists, quality music and in between. Unlike
many radio stations where we have laser sounds and a
lot of hype, wellness tips and things of that nature.
Describe that.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yes, So I've been on a journey for the past
i'd say eight years of my life where I had
some major events happen that woke me up to why
am I here? What's the purpose of life? Why is
this all happening to me? And it led me down
this path of spirituality and wellness. And I've become obsessed
(02:36):
almost with that topic, wellness and healing and spirituality, which
I think I'll go hand in hand. So it's been
the voracious desire to learn more about these topics because
they're so important to me, and I feel like these
are topics that are important to many people. Spirituality was
the big one for me, learning about how religion necessarily
(02:59):
isn't the answer, but spirituality is the core escence of
all religion. So it's been a very amazing journey for me,
and I want to share it with others, and I
want to help others on their journeys healing through a
lot of the emotional turmoil and trauma that we go
through in life.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Why do we name it Judy. It's not Ann radio,
it's not Eric radio, but it's Judy.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
We were looking for a name that made sense for
our radio station, that had a feminine element to it,
but also was different, and it just seemed like the
right name.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Seemed like a good, strong name that more easy, that
easily kind of conveyed with This was about the radio
station we wanted to be about wellness and we dive
into a lot of those topics at judyradio dot com
and then now in the Judy Podcast the Judy Frequency.
We're really working on topics that will work to improve
your life and your health and your wellness, whether it's
(03:57):
physical wellness, mental wellness, emotional wellness, and where we can
get them. Some of the music artists that really rock
our worlds on Judy Radio, we'd love to dive deeper
into the music, deeper into their stories and what they
do to make music that's designed to make the world
a better place. So this is designed to be a
real quick intro just to give you an idea of
(04:17):
who we are, what our background is, what Judy Radio
is about, and what this podcast will be about. Some
of the topics we're going to be covering. I know
one of them is going to involved bread and how
it's not that good for you the slice stuff at
the supermarket anymore, but real bread, real bread without preservatives
is still phenomenal for you, especially sourdough. We're going to
dive into that one of these episodes. What are some
of the other topics.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Sound healing one on one, How vibration affects the body,
the ancient use of music in healing ceremonies, Raising your frequency,
what does it really mean? Crystals and frequency, amplifying intentions,
tuning into divine guidance through meditation.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
