joining the Elite Z Special Unit on a mission behind
enemy lines in Papua New Guinea. Operation Copper was meant
to be a secret. The things went wrong. Stranded and
hunted by a thousand enemy troops, Spencer led a swim
for survival, but he has never seen again. Decades later

(01:51):
we learned the truth. Captured, tortured, he stayed silent to
protect his mates and the mission marriage cost his life.

Speaker 8 (07:21):
You just say, let's get ready to rumble.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
No I did not.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Okay, all right, where we hand over to Big T

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Well, gooda dragons fans on Big T and this is
behind them lines. I'm still lating East of Chocolate. I
hope you had a whole lot of great easter. Okay,
that's run free to Rooster's side before we bring it
a guest him. You've got a very special guest tonight. Yeah,
you mean to just got the back then you Tupo
and mark the one I need to say on the wings,

(08:47):
Billie Smith. That's a great dragon's name, Billie Smith, isn't
that great dragon's name? Robert Toyer, sand And Smith and
Hugo Stavala in the Hearts, Spencer Lana, Conor Watson and
the far Who White in the front Row Angers Crichton,
Sewer Wong and Victor Radley in the back row or
as has scoop blocks to say Victor the inflict the radley,

(09:11):
Docer Clay for Kenny step step Evan Butcher on the bench,
Athan King, Taylor, Lois Salo, Chad Townsend, Dominic Young in
the extend the bench and mcaheese mctowa bringing it against Yeah,
we got Billy's little brother, little Robert. Max. I don't

(09:32):
know how one's a dragon, one's a Roosters. The bast
him enough when they were younger. So Max, how are
you mate?

Speaker 9 (09:40):
Good?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
And you become a Rooster's fan? Mate? Your brother's a dragon?

Speaker 9 (09:45):
Yeah, well he tried making me a Dragons fan, but
I didn't want to go for a ship team.

Speaker 10 (09:58):
Then I couldn't educate the city even if I wanted to.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Go back going back to the team there, Max Sleep,
what's his name doing on Sleep?

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Is it Blake?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Blake Sleep? Tell us a little bit about him. He's
only a new boyfriend, Todam. Do you know much about him?

Speaker 11 (10:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (10:20):
He is from Port mcquarie and the best position throughout
his young career is luck.

Speaker 11 (10:30):
Yeah, the open and defensive reliability and work. But it
has been amazing in his eleven game career and I.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Said, so it was the best seventh game this year.
And he's played every game this year, isn't he. Yeah,
I was watching him a bit earlier. I watched a
couple of whole lot of I mean, he seems like
he's going to be a big play for the club.
I think if they can keep.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Him watching earlier.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah, all right, you finished third in the regular season
last year, but then now you're out Garaba Hargraves, no
Tyrol may May. Both your front rollers are gone, both
your centers are gone. So and Marny they disappeared as well.
There's no Cheese, there's no Walker, no Collins, and no

(11:28):
mat butch you this week, you've got a team team
of nobody's where did the points come from.

Speaker 11 (11:38):
From the wingers? It's all the tall kicking to them.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
You're going to use the old dragon strip of bond
for the wingers. Yeah, you had a pretty indifferent season, mate.
You've got dump up dumped on by the Broncos around one,
and you beat the Panthers, but everyone beats the Panthers,

(12:05):
Bosses to the Wires, Titans and Bunnies. You beat the
Broncos and then you get pumped by second last Panthers.
What's what's the problem at the roosters with their inconsistency.

Speaker 11 (12:23):
I think it's mhmm. We need to tough and up.
We need to keep playing consistently. Yeah, we are not
consistently good.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
You're a bit like you're a bit like the dragons,
A bit like the dragons, A better, a better begas sissy.
They keep us on his toes. Last week it scored first.
I'm just still eating Easter chocolate happy as everybody. It's
going the first try last week and then you got

(13:01):
owned on the outside. You couldn't you couldn't refuse a kick,
couldn't refuse a kick? Where are I going with this?
If I was got got got got at the end?

(13:24):
What are the what are the roosters need to do
there for the dragon speed on the outside.

Speaker 11 (13:33):
Well, we just need to be more defensive. We're just
we're letting an te.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah, I've seen that last week that on the outside
on Daniel too side. They they caught them out two
or three times on the outside and once or twice
on the other side. So I think that's where we're
going to attacking you guys on the weekend.

Speaker 8 (13:56):
It's just poor communication.

Speaker 12 (13:58):
Between the winger and the Yeah, just getting familiar with
each other's game, all right.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
He won the last two ends that games twenty seven,
twenty six and twenty twenty three in last year's Shaking sixty. Well,
it's a plainly different side. And how do you bereat
the Dragons this week?

Speaker 9 (14:28):
We need our big players to per form very very well.
We need them playing at their best level, like to
their scow too. Even Dominic Young he's not playing.

Speaker 11 (14:42):
He's not playing.

Speaker 8 (14:46):
What's going on there?

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Way, I don't think you're playing right.

Speaker 6 (14:51):
There's been reports he's going to be playing reserves.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
What's he done?

Speaker 8 (14:57):
No?

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Do you know anything about that? Anything about that?

Speaker 6 (15:00):
Max?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
He didn't know, he didn't know. Okay, good on you.

Speaker 8 (15:10):
Smith.

Speaker 10 (15:10):
Oh he loves standing to me.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
So do you think he's he's the answer in the hearts?

Speaker 11 (15:17):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Apart from Tosco. Apart from Esco. Who's the biggest threat
to the Dragons in attack?

Speaker 9 (15:30):
I'd say too Bo on the wing because he's very
very tall and your wingers aren't that tall.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Was up against he's up against now this week?

Speaker 8 (15:40):
So six six? Yeah, massive winner?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
What's two pairs about? Too many tall isn't.

Speaker 8 (15:50):
He Yeah, six six one six two something about that.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
About five ten two poirs on sloan slide. I believe
I was.

Speaker 8 (16:01):
Okay. Opposite sides.

Speaker 10 (16:05):
Still a bit of a high advantage, I think, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I have something else gonna question for Max?

Speaker 4 (16:14):
What about Hugo Savala. Chad Tanden started the year as
the half back with Hugo Savalla, pretty tall half back.
He's come in the last couple of weeks. What do
you make of him?

Speaker 9 (16:27):
He's a very very good kicker, and I reckon he's
kicking game against you guys will be very very good.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
I've got a question for you, Max, what's I never
heard of this kid's name for a while, Sack Docker Clay,
what's his what is he like?

Speaker 13 (16:51):
Like?

Speaker 6 (16:52):
What's his background? Coming through the junior system? Junior system
for your club?

Speaker 11 (16:58):
Isn't all right?

Speaker 8 (16:58):
Now?

Speaker 9 (17:02):
I think you like to perform against ban because everyone's
playing performance against And we were at the game two
years ago when Toby Can dropped the ball and get
to this guy.

Speaker 11 (17:20):
I was rubbing in his face.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Mm hmm did he Basher?

Speaker 10 (17:27):
I'm about to.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
As we allowed your little brother, Yeah, well not so little, but.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
He's your little big brother, because when you tried tackling me,
I put you on the ground. Y.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Someone's about he's got his baby, all right?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
All right, Max? Are you anyone else going to question
any anybody else? Someone asked, I think what was the
question up here?

Speaker 7 (18:04):
We did?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
We cover it?

Speaker 8 (18:06):
Well?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Townsend play? No you won't? All right?

Speaker 4 (18:08):
What about Teddy? Ted Teddy, He's just he's still on
top of his game. I don't know if he plays.
He probably won't play Origin this year. But what is
it about James Tedesca that he produces week in week out?
He's always the Rooster's best player the time.

Speaker 9 (18:26):
He's a leader. He's a very very good leader. Brings
a lot of passion and efforts to the game. And
I think he will lead us to beat you guys
place as well fast.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I just hope he's just it's just that he's just
a little nugget, isn't He just bounces off everything. If
you think Jack Byrd Jack Byrd used to bounce off tackles.

Speaker 10 (18:51):
Someone should tell him to type his pants. He doesn't.
It's not secure. Every single game it was, Mate.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
It's worse.

Speaker 8 (19:09):
He was very sky just like to get these means out.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
You got to get in the crack trips with him.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
He's very cheeky.

Speaker 8 (19:17):
Yeah, into the crack.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
All right. I don't know if you watched the show before.

Speaker 11 (19:26):
Before Max, yeah, last week and two weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I don't know if you ever watched Walk Down Memory Lane,
because about this time of night we go for a
walk down Memory Lane, brought to you by Asence and
Light Nature. If you have anybody, they're they're a soaping
Kingdom manufacturer and check him out on Facebook. Absolutely fantastic.
We're going back. We're going back to Anzac Day two

(19:54):
thousand and nine. You must have been very small than Max.
How old were you in two thousand and nine? Mate?

Speaker 11 (19:59):
I was no bard.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
How he's doing lesond for you? I don't know if
he's studying this game at all. But Saturday April twenty five,
two thousand and nine, as that day, lest we forget
Sydney Football Stadium, twenty and twenty six people were there Reflelce,
Shane Haynes and Tony Geller hat I think he say

(20:31):
his name played fifty one times. The Roosters are won
twenty eight Dragons twenty two. There's been one drawback in
two thousand and one eleven hundred and fourteen points for
the for the roosters, and we've scored nine hundred and
sixty points. I just run through the rooster's side and
the dragon's side. At the back of the roosters with

(20:52):
Sam Perrot, Caesar Whiker and Sean Kenny downs on the wings.
I see a solil and set amount of star in
the same us peace and an asta the halves. Where
are Mark O'Meally abuse and James abusing? That is there
was two of the brothers running a running around abus.

(21:14):
There you go Frank Mason and Miles in the background
with his given lock on the scrim The pony payer
knew the pony payer. His uncle used to live just
down the road from us, and the Mickey per played
for the dragons. We had mickey.

Speaker 8 (21:33):
They let both of them at one point.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Of the brothers there was a layer as well.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
There was but their uncle is a live on the
road from us and we used to go up and
talk to them. Are time Um Shanty, Shackleton joke friend
and Jordan Tansy on the bench. Bradford was their coach
at the time. Darius Boys Bree Morris both both got
keeper and Nightingale wear out back five Sad and horns

(22:02):
He what a great sort that he won, a great
back forth that is two thousand and nine Sad and
Hornby and the halves poor Young and Wyman, big Hoss,
big horse, Wayman up in the front row prior Cray
and Smith locks the scrum hunt Costagan, Safie and head um.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
On.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
That's the many head on the bench. Jared Safie Jared
Safi South African, South African born Dragon m He was
born in Jehannesburg, moved to Australia in ninety nine. He's
played rugby union when he first got here in the
under twenty ones and in the sevens. It's Tiger's I

(22:44):
six O seven and twenty ten NRL Premiership. He played.
Was the first player signed by the Melbourne Rebels then
now defunk Melbourne Rebels in twenty ten. There were there
was been five South African players or South African players

(23:05):
that played for South Africa, a couple of born in Australia.
Fred Punchy Griffins born in Rhodeosa now it's called Zimbabwe.
Sixty seven games played for sixty seven games for North Sydney.
Helen Skaney born in Cape Town. Yeah, he played sixteen
sixteen matches for South to Strass. We don't remember well

(23:27):
most of us remember to Strass played for Cornella. I'm
sure you would, dads, you remember Tian.

Speaker 8 (23:31):
I remember him? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Good, good tough player, good tough player, sixty eight games
for Carnella. Fred Anderson. Look at Fred Anderson, well, I
wouldn't want to cross him in a dark alley. He
was born in Australia to South African parents. Played two
hundred and fifty three games for the Bulldogs and the
Bunnies and two Tests for South Africa. I think it
was most of these guys played nine and sixty three tests,

(23:54):
so he's played two Tests for South Africa and short
Rutchinson he had sixty eight games for the Bears in
the Sharks born in Australia, but he played for the
South African team and there was the us A Hawk's
coach so still involved in rugby league bnny guys, but
Darren Savy was the only South African player to win
the premiership. So got on the jazz.

Speaker 8 (24:20):
Could was was this many heads last season with US?

Speaker 2 (24:26):
I think he's maybe yeah, No, he retired. He came back.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
He came back after a horrible leg injury or something,
didn't he They.

Speaker 14 (24:35):
Had huge injuries ad him and he remember it was
a leg injury or something that ended and he was
just starting to really come good.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Everyone thought he was going to be a half back
in that year.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
I remember, mm hmm, yeah that's right.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Yeah, he was going to be the fullback in that look.
They were going to play boy in the Senates.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
H coming this company is a good one, didn't Shane Shackel,
did you good food for port? He did a great
absolutely fantastic absolutely.

Speaker 8 (25:10):
Apparently it's his shoulder, was it? It was leg injury
or I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Find anything any I couldn't find any of the Holts
in this game or full metroport or anything. Just got
my stuff off. Rugby League Project didn't tell me anything
but Jamie I scored two tries. Brett Morris got ephs
over the stripe for a try. Jason Notingale, he scored.
He always scored. Jason noting scored two in the Grand

(25:35):
following twenty ten. Jason Noningale, the Great was a great player,
was a great plass second most cap after he left
Rugby League, was owner Operight play well two hund and
sixty eight games for the Dragons, holding ten tries, thirty
three tests for New Zealand. Still involved.

Speaker 8 (25:57):
Yeah, yeah, I had Brett Miris almost every week for
first try scorer. He made some money, walked away with. Oh,
didn't make some money.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
I was like one hundred.

Speaker 8 (26:12):
I used to put one hundred bucks on it every
week and sometimes it wouldn't go through, but yeah, it
would walk away with like a grand. Back in the days,
I used to bet.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
You can afford to bet.

Speaker 8 (26:25):
Yeah, I got family. Now I don't bet anymore, but yeah,
I used to be on that first try score.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
But after believe can flow especially, I think that was
that Cogler I think, yeah, yeah, see if I had
nine close down in twenty twenty four. He runs Elite
Athlete Business School where he teaches rugby league players about
business and gets him into unis and get them started.

Speaker 9 (26:51):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Director of Partner at CNG Property Group, so he's got
a property portfolio. Gavin Life member of the Dragons, Dragon's Ambassador,
also the twenty ten Grand Final winner. On your float
and we'll shoot clem around the ground rounds if we
get down, then scal to try six goals. Ah throw

(27:16):
the field goal three one point haul. I think he
must have got made on the Mets this game, as
he did quite often. Halftime it was nine mil full
time twenty nine nil Dragons over the Roarers, and that works.
They don't have a salary cap. They have a salary sombrero.
But I think the money might have run out. Looked,

(27:37):
money might have run out. Looking at the team, a
lot of players left. Oh who's that there? The young scooped? Hey,
look at that. Now it does look like him. Now
he's got the same jersey on it. So who's that
with you? The escape?

Speaker 6 (27:58):
That's my sister who's all a rooster supporter?

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Oh what's her name?

Speaker 6 (28:06):
Page? But she hasn't disaplined.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Oh that's why she's a rooster of supporter. There's a
young scoop referee. He was a referee back then. Skinny legs.

Speaker 8 (28:25):
Pants up?

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Any your name will be Harry.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, how are you there? Escape?

Speaker 6 (28:38):
I'm age eighteen. That was my first ever year of refereeing.
I've taken a few years since then because because I
went behind my coaches back because he was for any
his friends and family, for high games and doesn't care
about us local young ones who actually wanted to have

(28:59):
a guy the high for.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
It's a forced layoff. Well, there you go, There'scape, there's
behind in the ear, and nearly anybody else wants to
say that Friday, come on, Dace for fer you as
a kid, Billy, a picture of you as a kid,
all of our guys. Muhammad did drafts a picture Andrew

this is the twenty more.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Yes, we missed the only one that hasn't been had
because of the COVID year.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Yep, so in the liar years, mate, in the liar
year is.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Well, there was no they didn't have I just didn't
have a game that year. Yeah, no, we were still
we were in lockdown.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
One also called off COVID.

Speaker 4 (31:14):

Roosters one.

Speaker 8 (31:20):
Oh that game was.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
Remember that was the year rather got sin min Yeah,
because I think.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
His way off.

Speaker 12 (31:30):
Because what was the one where Ben Kraze scored. I
think we got two really late tries the one that
I went to and we were sitting right in front
at that northern end and just copping it, copping it
from Rooster fans all afternoon and then we're two minutes

(31:51):
ago they won.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
I couldn't believe that.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Fifteen.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Well, while we're discussing it, will keep going, like what
is your best what is your most watched Anzac Day
game of all time? For the Roosters Dragons, Big tis
your favorite?

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Oh ye put him up in the comments everybody at
twenty ten by Roy McDonald and that's where the game
would put us up your favorite favorite Anzac Day game.
Mine goes back to the game where we scored three
tries in the last five minutes.

Speaker 8 (32:26):
I think they're all tipping this weekend's results. That's what
that is.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
That's what that is. That's right. Yeah, go back, go
back to the game where Big Ben craisc was the
winning try. Yeah, back twenty twelve.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
I think you said it was twenty twelve. Yet Michael
Wayman did the off flave for Ben Craig.

Speaker 8 (32:43):
He did. That's the one. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
My one would actually be the one from twenty years ago.
It was a little from two thousand and five, the.

Speaker 8 (32:56):
One that went to may Maddy Cooper school head, the
Matt Cooper.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
He scored the final level of the game, and Matt
had had the kick from the sideline the Winnster game
and he never know No, Yeah, that was that was
a great game. Do you have one, Billy? What what's
what's in your mind? What's the best ends that day game?
In your rights?

Speaker 15 (33:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (33:20):
Last year, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (33:22):
Don't listen to you.

Speaker 10 (33:27):
Let the cameras.

Speaker 8 (33:34):
We got pumped, didn't he So going to make amends
for that.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
Personally when it was brought.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Up last totally different side.

Speaker 10 (33:44):
My favorite game was the Hail game one we want.

Speaker 6 (33:55):
I'll go the year after actually twenty sixteen. My first
have an AS game was twenty sixteen. It went down
to the wire, mate the o.

Speaker 10 (34:08):
The cheapest thing you can get is ninety bars?

Speaker 8 (34:12):
Wow? What it is?

Speaker 4 (34:14):
That's the blood?

Speaker 8 (34:19):
Young? Is that because it's a Rooster's home game this year?

Speaker 16 (34:25):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Always it's always a Roaster's home game, is it?

Speaker 8 (34:28):
That's because.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Alternates?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Well does it when I come to the Rooster's home game?

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Because at the ends that game, yeah, that's always an ALI.

Speaker 8 (34:42):
They still make it our home game. Alternately yea, we.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Just lose that game at Cobra for the.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
All right, that's been behind the lines. Thanks next for Joiners,
You've been an absolute champion. You can sit there behind
believe or not if you want. But yeah, if you
don't want to talk dragons.

Speaker 14 (35:02):
I suggested, thanks for the game, though, that's right to.

Speaker 8 (35:12):
Oh, silly question.

Speaker 9 (35:16):
The Roosters thirty eighteen anytime, try scores for both teams.

Speaker 11 (35:20):
Clink Dothson's for Dragons and done both for Roosters.

Speaker 12 (35:26):
Think you've got you've got us copy our first flogging
of the year.

Speaker 10 (35:31):
Wait did you say roosters? Wait a second, twelve said
one minute.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
All right, well that's going on.

Speaker 8 (35:44):
This It looks like you just go.

Speaker 10 (35:55):
Oh man, I was never a Roosters fan. I used
to want my arm.

Speaker 8 (36:06):
It was on.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Mate, you're not for ship brote.

Speaker 8 (36:20):
Online t v W.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
When we heard from local Ellius today, it will be
his first ends at the game for the club, and
he's very excited at this.

Speaker 8 (36:37):
Jesus, this is this is exactly we're gonna punch.

Speaker 17 (37:03):
I guess the call aside like, mainly you know we're
happy without performance and itself.

Speaker 18 (37:07):
Do you feel a little bit of pressure lift off
your shoulders with those wings and and I guess.

Speaker 10 (37:11):
Yourself starting to find a bit of forman and tell
us about how.

Speaker 17 (37:13):
You have That was fine, It was it was a
team effort, you know, it's everyone sort of had to
turn up and do our own jobs, and you know,
we knew it.

Speaker 8 (37:23):
All had to be on.

Speaker 17 (37:23):
So we're all proud of our efforts there. Yeah, the
last couple of weeks, I probably just simplify my role.
You know, we're going to attack and we can score
points everywhere. So if I can just get the ball
you know, to our star players and just makes my
job easier. So yeah, just my wrong and do my

(37:44):
job right. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah, this is Anzac
Jersey this week, honoring no Spencer or Clay you know,
former Dragon So that's pretty cool. You know, it hits
close to home, so I think it's Saint George Dragon
two twenty one, so that's pretty cool. And had his

(38:07):
family come come down today and tell us a bit
about his story and what he did and how he
sort of honored his role in the army. So that
that was pretty cool of pretty touching. So you know,
we're glad to honor him this weekend. I think it's
just I'm just excited to play on my first Anzac day.

(38:28):
I've watched this, you know, my whole life, and you know,
to finally playing one. You know, it's pretty cool. So
Anzac Day's all a massive occasion, especially here in Sydney,
and to playing the Dragons Roosters game.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
I'm really excited Dragons than growing up.

Speaker 18 (38:44):
Must have been one game year you mentioned before, but
like how special was it in your calendar?

Speaker 17 (38:48):
As fans you go to it and I can't remember
if I went to a game that was all pretty expensive,
but I always sold out so now but always watching
from home, always seen the massive crowd, and no matter
where you know each team is on the ladder, it's
one of those games where they both, both the teams
and the fans always always get up.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
So you know, it's really exciting. What have you made
so far this season?

Speaker 18 (39:15):
I mean they've obviously not got and it'd be glad
on the weekend, but they've been a bit up and down.
Has that mean that you sort of really get up
for them? Because I know in this game throughout the years,
it doesn't matter where the teams are.

Speaker 17 (39:26):
They always Yeah, like you said, I don't think it
matters where each team. You know, one could be first,
one could be last. I think you know we both
plays as two good sides on the weekend, So you know,
I'm really excited, but we've just got to focus on
ourselves and you know, sort of playoff foot you So
we're excited to do that.

Speaker 10 (39:43):
Last I didn't play, so.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
I'm a new Dragon.

Speaker 17 (39:52):
So but we've got a new team this year, and
you know, we're all pretty excited, and you know, there's
definitely something you know that we want revenge and that,
so everyone's pretty excited.

Speaker 18 (40:02):
You're a little concerned, I guess even though you'd win
on the weekend, you did have that big lead and
they did manage to come back, but you've been able
to get out to those fast starts, but.

Speaker 10 (40:10):
Sort of holding on to them is proving a bit
of a struggle.

Speaker 17 (40:13):
Yeah, we're just happy to sort of win a close one.
You know, we won a close one against Storm, and
to win another close one against the colt Aside, like manly,
it definitely gives us confidence and confidence that we can
win those close games. You know, would have would have
liked to win those sort of closer games that we lost,
but you know, it is what it is, and we've
learned from them and we're excited for this week and

(40:34):
hopefully hopefully win by a bit and it's not a
close one.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
And what do we think of what of lock? Lilias comments, Yeah,
he's a genius.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
I think about learning as Rory McDonald's just there. You
never blinder this week, absolute blinder.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
And what do you think it means to play on
such a special occasion like Anzac day? Back in my room?

Speaker 11 (41:15):
He stuck in this in my room, put this in
my room, he left it.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
Turn you over. He's trying to convert your interrupted.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
That show's good.

Speaker 11 (41:33):
This is my first sport. This will forever be my
first sport though.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
All right enough thanks Maxie, all right, carry on.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Just so what do you think it means special the
day like an exact day?

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Oh? Absolutely against fantastic to play exact day to remember
remember the troops back in police did you say, did
you got you got girl's blood there?

Speaker 4 (42:06):
Yes, we'll get that.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
He talks about the Turkey in this train connection and
how he's been there, okay, home with his family and
he grew up in the Eastern suburbs. So I wonder
for who is supported back then?

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Yeah, yeah, that's gonna be interesting. We'll get that. In
just a moment.

Speaker 10 (42:29):
I told him that he doesn't believe me.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
All right in trouble tonight.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
All right, we'll keep the ball rolling. Yeah. So yeah,
So the atmosphere, it's it's just it's just a very
emotional and summer atmosphere. When you're at the game. You
hear the march before the game, you see the horses
and all the all the soldiers currently and then and
then they get to play last post where you don't

(43:01):
hear a pin drop around the ground. By the way,
anyone who makes a noise during the last post, they
have no respects.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
They get bashed.

Speaker 6 (43:10):
Yeah, they get bashed.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
If I was there, they were more used to in
the day.

Speaker 6 (43:17):
It still happens, specta doesn't. Yeah, it still happens. Whoever
maximized gets the lights punched out every NRL game, every
NRL and suck the game. Whatever team players they get
kicked out of the ground, yep, some of.

Speaker 7 (43:41):
The because of it.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
And they have the chopper that brings the They have
the chopper that flies into the ground. They bring the
ends that cut to two of the legends from the
Dragons and the Roosters, and they bring it up and
present it. So, yeah, it is quite an emotional day.
And you see all the all the ex soldiers that
come around in a parade about half an hour before

(44:04):
the game. It is quite a if you haven't been
to an Exact Day game, it is truly worth the
experience save up.

Speaker 15 (44:13):
But yes, mate, they've put those processes for the posh
Roosters fans if they.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
Haven't yeh fans, Uncle Nick.

Speaker 10 (44:27):
Round paper bag, the one, the one greak. I do
this like a little bit.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
I've seen lots of people suggested, young, I know you're
you're you're quite in the loop with a dog SUPPORTERA.
So you're quite you're a good connection with doggie supporters.
The ten dollars initiative last Friday for the Good Friday game.

(44:56):
Would you like to see the Rooster's friends that day?
It's unlikely it happened, but put it issue from the dogs.

Speaker 12 (45:01):
There for a regular season game, but not for Exact Day.
I mean it sells itself. It's a game that you'd
want to go to anyway. It's traditional Inxact game, and
then all the other games have flowed around it. But
he doesn't want to go to Innxact Day. There's a
lot of people that don't even support either team would

(45:23):
go to Exact Day. So well, I don't think it
needs the price change. It's an elite game. You want
to go to leave it the way it is.

Speaker 6 (45:34):
Yeah, I'm going to back up on your point. I
have seen different supporters from different clubs. They like Melbourne Souths, Broncos, Sharks,
you get pretty much yeah, any team supported there, it's
just pretty much tops it off, even above Origin. It

(45:56):
tops it off on the Rubber League calendar each year.

Speaker 8 (46:00):
Yep.

Speaker 12 (46:03):
If you want to do that, maybe choose another public
holiday and pit us against the Sharks or something like that.
Sharks or Canterbury or one of them, and they aren't
even have a ten dollar entry day build that.

Speaker 8 (46:15):
Yeah, that's right, that Anzac Day. Leave it alone, I reckon.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
Okay, fair enough, just yep, Okay, So we'll get into
our next segment of the night where we get our
viewers to have their say and get their thinking caps on.

(47:22):
All right, well, thanks for yeah, thanks for joining us tonight.
Now we are two Jags, Dragons three or four this
week Anzac Day edition, so it's not exclusively a Dragon's
related question tonight, but it's for just the ends that
day game in general. So there is a as we
know that the both all thirty four players play for

(47:44):
this award. There is an award for the man of
the match known as the Spirit of Anzac Medal. Now
my question is tonight, what is the name of the award?
It goes to the man of the match in the
ans At Day Cup game. Let's see how you go,

(48:05):
h any ideas, panel if if you have a few
want if you know what it is, put it in
the private chat. If you know what the answer is.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
No, all right, let's carry on, all right?

Speaker 7 (48:23):
As okay, Well.

Speaker 4 (48:30):
You guessed about em Ray Gouler's interview today and let's
have a look at what Mr Gool had to say
about his first ends At Day game for the club
as he returns for his first game in a month
after a three week suspension.

Speaker 13 (48:50):
So it was a bit of unlucky starts to had
a game and by mentioned so I just want to
get that rhythm in my game and good one you
know on those works everyone.

Speaker 10 (49:02):
So, yeah, and what are your memories of this game?

Speaker 18 (49:06):
Obviously growing up in eating suburbs is sort of I'm
sure it was a big game sort of for you
as a youngster watching it. What are your memories of it?

Speaker 13 (49:13):
Yeah, I always went to the Anzac game growing up.
Try to go to a lot of foody when I
was younger, that was a game I always went to.
But I get to play in it now and pretty
pumped and yeah, I can't wait.

Speaker 18 (49:24):
Do you have any I guess what's your family history
and connection with sort of Anzac day.

Speaker 7 (49:29):
And you know that whole side of things.

Speaker 13 (49:31):
We're obviously been Turkish, we you know, crains have taught
me a lot about my culture and where we're from
and what's happened in the past, and obviously you know,
growth to be Australian as well. But yeah, we know,
we know culture and it means a lot of my family.
So yeah, they're really excited.

Speaker 18 (49:48):
What's it like having a family expense to come in
and speak to you about that whole side of things?
And does that put things in perspective of how does
that affect you and how to make it more reflective
of the game and life in general.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Or it's just like brings out the sacrifice.

Speaker 13 (50:02):
I guess what he's done for for his mates at
the time, and you want to try to do the
same thing and put your best foot forward for everyone
else around you.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
What is ut? Yeah, that probably.

Speaker 13 (50:22):
It won't be emotional, but it'll probably be, you know,
something very important to them. Obviously very proud of where
they're from and the history behind our country. So you know,
they've taken us over and we've done all of gliberally
and we've done everything with all the tours, and we
know all their history and our family. So for them

(50:42):
it's probably you know, it's exciting for them and something different.
They probably never thought I'd be here at the Dragons
playing in this game, but yeah we're here now, and yeah,
good for them. Not too much so far early in
the week, but probably as a week goes, probably will.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Yeah, Yeah, I'm pumped. It looks good.

Speaker 8 (51:15):
Yeah, not not yet, I probably will go.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
Yeah, three weeks is.

Speaker 8 (51:21):
A lot of time. Probably a bit harsh the games,
but you know, it is what it is.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
Move on now and yeah, I get ready for this week.

Speaker 18 (51:32):
If you dat yourself in the forwards, what you're gonna
do to shut down some of their middle forwards who
are playing really well?

Speaker 10 (51:37):
Obviously whites on fire at the moment.

Speaker 13 (51:40):
Yeah, there are all athletes more than middle sell, powerful, strong,
So I think there's nothing that I can do. It's
probably something as a team we can do to fix out,
and yeah, we just got to go out there and
start fast and match them.

Speaker 18 (51:53):
It's difficult to sort of shout out sort of how
the teams are going in these big runs obviously where
they both teams, doesn't matter where you're on the ladder.
Is it ever hard to sort of shut out sort
of and forget about some of their form which hasn't
been so great this year.

Speaker 13 (52:05):
I think we just try to focus on ourselves mainly.
But yeah, obviously, you know, you know they're a good side,
you know that, you know how they're going to play
every week. So yeah, like I said, we need to
match them and make sure we turn up and start fast.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
I'll get you guys are a better uniform and better
on the ladder.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
What is the.

Speaker 11 (52:25):
Confidence as well?

Speaker 13 (52:29):
Yeah, like I said, it probably it doesn't matter too much.
Like it's it's more just week to week. Really, you're
seeing what type of companies this year. You know, there's
anyone can win. You know, we've lost two games by
one point, so it just it doesn't really matter. It's
every every week you need to put your best foot
forward and play well and stick to the game plan.

Speaker 8 (52:46):
So that's what we need to do this week.

Speaker 9 (52:48):
Because the feeling differently on the sidelines to two wins.

Speaker 10 (52:51):
Firstus being on the field.

Speaker 13 (52:54):
Yeah, I don't know, like you ride that wave like
it's just you ride the highs and the lowers is
of one too, so you know, ride that way with
them and enjoy the good times and you know when
they lost against part of them my first week is suspension,
you ride the low with them. So it's just it's
all push and pull, it's all give and take. So yeah,
I'll ride the highs and the lows.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
And how do you focus on your play? Get caught
up on the occasion.

Speaker 13 (53:20):
Yeah, there is a lot of emotion, but I think
for us to just have to focus on your job
and do what the team needs of you.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
And he returns back this week after three game suspended,
and that's what led us into our next part of
the night where we discuss just.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Before that, just just before that, that's our first response
to the no idea. The name of that Aston.

Speaker 4 (53:50):
Ashton Medal, it's the Ashton Collier Metal answer, Larry Mate. Yeah,
as Rory McDonald said, Amra Gouler looks like he's up
for this. Gallipoli was one of the was where they
had the where the a lot of Australians did for

(54:12):
in the in that walk. Yes, he just said that
thanks Gie always later the party, all right, Yeah, and
that leads us into our next part of that where
we'll discuss our team. Now, first part Young is the

(54:37):
only fineur he comes into the side with Matt Feene
out for three months, with that, with that broken ankle,
the only if he now got onto the field against Manley.
What do you think of that selection?

Speaker 6 (54:55):
Is a mute?

Speaker 12 (54:58):
What he was doing during the trials. I know it's
only a trial, but we really had that left side
clicking well when he was on that wing. Would he
scored three, three or four trials?

Speaker 8 (55:11):
Yeah, so I'm quite happy with that addition to see
him get a start, so it should be good.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Yep.

Speaker 12 (55:22):
It was actually a surprise he didn't get selected last
week uh to run on instead.

Speaker 8 (55:29):
Of mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
So simply got four weeks for that.

Speaker 8 (55:35):
Tackley for the hip drap.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Yeah, I thought I thought it was out cold because
of it before that, so.

Speaker 8 (55:43):
It was an accident, but it was a good cattle.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
It's been unfortunate. So he didn't bring a new blake
a younger Blake and he brought Google straight back.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
A Gruler straight in, Yes, but low Capac, A Big
Tongue and Finale Arts have been named on the extended
so I don't think that'll change. I still think you'll
go with Goola. I'm not sure if you're looking at
Blooder looking in a huge game like this one. Luke

(56:14):
Billy has been named on the edge despite Dylan Egan
starting in the last two weeks, do you think he'll
actually start there or flat? I will do that swap
and now again with the starting ahead of Looch.

Speaker 15 (56:27):
I think you'll do the late sap like he's done
with the last two weeks. It's just I don't know
if it plays into the other teams mines or not,
because he's done it a couple of times now. I
don't think they're going to do their study or their
video and label. I think they do it more on
Egan anyway, So it really depends. I think it's better

(56:50):
that Egan starts anyway, because Laylor was more of an
impact player when he comes off the mention and Egan
because Egan just us straight out.

Speaker 6 (57:00):
So yeah, I'm breaking news. Ryan Pappenhouse and verdic has
been reached.

Speaker 10 (57:09):
Oh what happened to Ryan?

Speaker 6 (57:13):
It's time to get that up. Now you guys keep talking,
I'll look it up for you.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Stop breaking. It is.

Speaker 4 (57:22):
Stop breaking if you don't know it.

Speaker 6 (57:27):
My laptops is playing up. That's why.

Speaker 4 (57:31):
All right now I've good. Yeah that's big Ta said
every Guler walked straight back into the side after after
three weeks suspended big T. What do you make of this?
Would you like to see him come back by or
with Hamish Stewart unavailable?

Speaker 15 (57:52):
Was that it was?

Speaker 2 (57:54):
It was always going to break. It was always going
to be good on. He's gonna come straight big in
the side. Laurie Laurie is the one that's lucky that
Stuart got injured. I think Will would have come in
for Laurie otherwise. But yeah, he was always going to
come back in the side of the FW might have
had a slight a slight chance to replay Stuart being

(58:16):
the young black strop for young Glo.

Speaker 8 (58:19):
Have a little bit.

Speaker 6 (58:19):
Laurie.

Speaker 8 (58:21):
He played.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
I understand, he played. I understand he played really well.
But he's our extra forward. He's the one that I'll
go back to reserve grade if Stewart didn't get injured.
I know he played a great game.

Speaker 15 (58:37):
What do you say, Bill, correct me if I'm wrong.
I think it's a Blake Lawyer's one fiftieth game this week.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Okay, it might be.

Speaker 10 (58:47):
Big game.

Speaker 4 (58:48):
Well let's let's confirm that. Let's have a look very well,
be you have to play scoop scoop sacked.

Speaker 2 (59:00):
He's gone somewhere. Where did they go? Someone sack him?

Speaker 12 (59:05):
But I think I think, yeah, definitely had Lei Lua
coming off the bench, though I like Leilua coming in
sort of twenty five minutes into the game when they're
a bit tired, fifteen minutes from the half, fine, fifteen
minutes into the second half. That's when they're vulnerable. That's
where you can explore them with a big man like him.
And I think I think with if you can just

(59:29):
tackle everything like Egan tackles everything. He's averaging fifty sixty
tackles a game. At the beginning of the game.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
Does he move into the middle when when lai Lua
comes on, Yes, Lewis, he'd moved to the middle and
probably one of claimer comes off. That's right. Yeah, so
Egan tackles everything. What was the last week with forty
seven thirty seven tackles or something.

Speaker 12 (59:57):
Absolutely, I think he got fifty something tackle fifty six
or something like that, something huge I saw.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
I think that. I think that was Coutchman got the
big amount of tackles.

Speaker 8 (01:00:07):
The Catsman Henry.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Fifty six, my god, minutes just free young boat, young bike.
You know, like unbelievable. He's gonna he's going to be
a superstar. Catsman's going to be a superstar. Ryan Kutsman
is going to be a superstar.

Speaker 8 (01:00:24):
Hamie Stewart Catsman stats Hami Hami.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Stewart has still been I've been out on but yeah,
so I think we've got the kids coming through. We
keep for now. Our forward pack is going to be
unbelievable with with the XPT. Oh no, Scoop's gone. You said,

(01:00:49):
you said, did you say? Did you see last week? Yes,
that I ran with a taller Marens had a haircut.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
I did. Actually I was, I was. I was having
lunch at work and actually walking through Crownstead in Woo
and there were there he was rabbit for Talamara having
a cup of coffee.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
No, hey, hey, hey he's got short back and sides now.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Haven't having a cup of coffee with Billy Army for feeder.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
Okay, going nice, Just.

Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
Let them be, Let them have their Yeah, let them
have their moment.

Speaker 12 (01:01:25):
I'm curious to know when Latie gets a start there,
it's going to be getting close.

Speaker 8 (01:01:30):
I reckon, I reckon half the round ten, they'll do it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:33):
I reckon.

Speaker 10 (01:01:34):
By the time Origin comes around, he should be in
that squad somewhere.

Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
I reckon, we'll be. Do you think we'll be?

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
How do you think we'll be in trouble by Origin?

Speaker 12 (01:01:44):
Probably they wanted to select Jack de bell And a
couple of years ago, but they said he would be
an uproar because of the controversy that he's gone.

Speaker 15 (01:01:59):
To pick It will be the thirteen couch could be
in the extended squad by I think they wanted him
for the bench, didn't they?

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Yeah, smoky, yep.

Speaker 4 (01:02:15):
Okay. Now we'll get into our next part where we
will discuss where the roosters are dangerous. So where do
you think the route where we have to keep an
eye on where the roosters could pile on the points.
Obviously there's one in James Teddy Tedesco. Who do you

(01:02:36):
think we've got to shut down to beat the Roosters.

Speaker 6 (01:02:38):
Scoop, I'm gonna say dang a tuopo because he's a
I could be wrong, but something correct me. It's pretty
much the only Roosters player that played in pretty much
most of the against most most of these Dragons during
his time at the Roosters during the ans day games.

(01:03:01):
It's between him and Jack Debellan, I think pretty much
the only two senior players. Fat's played almost all.

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
He plays exact game this year, Jack de Bellan.

Speaker 12 (01:03:15):
You can see what they're going to do, Like ten
to fifteen meters out of the line, they're going to
spread it right over to the right, and they work
it over to the left.

Speaker 8 (01:03:23):
And try and isolate Sloan. Two pou on Sloane. That's
all that time do and.

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
The longer need to ask is quite good in the
air as well, so that would be interesting. He'll be
on the only thing out side and the only thing
now got found out a little bit against Jason sub
last Thursday night.

Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
I was going to say for most of these plays
for our guys, pretty much most of them and Black Dolorry,
Jack de Bellan, Jay and saw Lula Cook car flowing again.

(01:04:03):
And most of the y Sloan is pretty much the
fat fans of our packs up playing almost all those
intact day games. Ye, so eight betweeny we maybe seven
on the Roosters.

Speaker 4 (01:04:25):
Yeah, well he's one. Billy Smith actually debut against the
Dragons in twenty nineteen, but not in the anxact day game.
And that's a famous Dragons name. You can remember famous
Dragons in the sixties and seven.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Still he's still going strong, still going strong. Wasn't the
rock Dog peachers up there about him? Yeah, he's still
going strong. Still gets down apartment as a beer Dragons
gear always, always he's always in a Dragon shirt.

Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
Yep, yep, that's for sure.

Speaker 8 (01:05:03):
Doesn't he know.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
That that's right? Isn't a good blake?

Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
So we'll get into lower grades junior reps first of all,
So we've got the Cup I Steelers side. They are
playing for a spot in the Grand Final on Saturday.
They're we're playing at Dudley Chess and Oval at the
Oaks and they'll be up against the Sydney Sydney Indigenous
Academy Roosters. So I'll run through how the Steelers will
line up. So at full back we've got Kiara Kostovski

(01:05:40):
on the ones. We've got Maddie Bullock and Charlotte Campbell
in the sentence. We've got Billy var R and Sienna Leslie.
We've got Talia O'Brien and Harrah Waker Bahatu up front.
Watch out for this young girl. She comes into the
anerl W development squad this year. So Riot Parlay Parlay

(01:06:00):
and Mchayla McFadden is the other front rower. Tory Shipton
is the hooker on the back rollers. For the Steelers,
we got Sue Richter Ran Yo and Trinity Town is
the captain locking the scrub on the bench. For the
Steelers it is Scarlet Newton, Madison Hobbs, April Gray and MICHAELA. Hutcheson.

(01:06:21):
The eight eighth player is Maddie Lewis, and the coach
of the Steelers Tarte Cup Tide is Courtney Crawford. That'll
be two thirty on Saturday at the Oaks. That's in
your territory is a big tea back in your old territory,
the back of.

Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
My old character Campbell, tarn Out and the actors out
in the seven table lands out there, I got a
beautiful ground out there. The ground out there's absolutely fantastic.
I played there a couple of times in the Group
six competition. Yeah, it's a nice place to go. Well
it's not not a nice place to go because they're
a top side so or they were back there anyway.

(01:06:57):
So yeah, cubical game yep.

Speaker 4 (01:07:01):
The Jersey Flag. It's a doubleheader at Collei's on Saturday,
so get down. If you're not doing anything on Saturday,
get down a collegiate sporting complex at fig Tree. It'll
be the Jersey Flag and the New South Wales Cup
sides back to back and a doubleheader up against Manly.
So the Jersey Flag will be at eleven to fifteen
am with New South Wales Cup kickoff at one pm.

(01:07:23):
So this is the way the Jersey Flag side will
line up at full bat. We've got Wedspring on the wings.
We got Tabe Rumble and David Arfu in the saturds.
We've got Lyric Kraft, t Ma Nui and Charlie Heidki
in the hers. We've got Tyler Packham Harris and Kid Reid.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Up front.

Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
It's Campbell Ruby and Ryan Hutcheson is the captain. Isaiah
Thugalilo is the hooker. The back rollers a Kai Wright,
Tobias Miller and Daniel Miafu. The bench for the Dragon's
jersey flag side is Blake Metcalf, Billy Armi, Hakuila, Jared
Johnson and Clay Bulldock. The coach is Ae Millard and
then one pm on Saturday it's New South Wales Cup,

(01:08:03):
also against the Manly Seagles. The way the New South
Wales Cup side wall lineup, Cody Ramsey is the fullback,
Nathan Lawson and Ben Rubble on the wings. Cory Allen
is in the centers. He's a captain. He doesn't have
a centerpart in yet. There has not been a center.
Uh No number four center has been named five Ope
is like in King Tongya. The half back is Jonah Glover.

Speaker 7 (01:08:25):
The five rolls.

Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
Jah Clover. Uh front, we've got Michael Mohler and Local
PACIFICA Tonga hooker is Heyley. Finew back rolls are Nick Sagrans,
Raimbea Vitala Marina and Finale. Last who locks the scrumb
on the bench just for a free man bench that
has been named so far, We've got Jacob Halenga who
Jacob Webster, jet Lieu and the eighteenth player is Villi

(01:08:50):
Army Defeeder and the coach of the of the New
South Wales Cup team is Willie Talau. That we'll get
into our next part. Yeah, so that'll be one pm
on Saturday against Manly. So as I said, if those
games televised, yes, no, if you've got TV subscriptions Rugby TV, yeah,

(01:09:12):
br TV, yeah TV.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
There you go, There you go, Rory.

Speaker 4 (01:09:21):
And as Lisa Maurice said, go the Steelers.

Speaker 8 (01:09:26):
Don't start.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
That plays.

Speaker 4 (01:09:32):
The girl team. They're the Steelers. That's what she's.

Speaker 10 (01:09:37):
Is that yo got any relationship?

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Yes, right, she's just as good.

Speaker 8 (01:09:45):
We couldn't the original. We had to plan her, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Two sisters?

Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
Yes, and his sister also plays for the Steelers. And
there's two cousins there through three Yo yo yo.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Yo yo yo.

Speaker 8 (01:10:01):
And then we have a boss all right, then his
brother or something start the sister.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
What we're talking about. What we're talking about here goes on.
The week came, we watched the Junior they are not
going to New Zealand and the commentator was going ill
aira and Glover Jon Glover and there.

Speaker 6 (01:10:31):
You go, bloody kwis campronouns.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
We won't talking about it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:35):
We're gonna. We're gonna if you if you weren't watching
Sunday Night, We're starting a go fund me paid to
send Awkland to educate the Keys on linguistics. That's we
big team.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
Pronunciations, that's right, a pronunciations.

Speaker 8 (01:10:50):
All right, send me, send me to the send me
over to New Zealand as well.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
You can, you can.

Speaker 8 (01:10:58):
John the Giants being the problem.

Speaker 10 (01:11:03):
And.

Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
Maybe sent May over to Last Vegas next year.

Speaker 8 (01:11:08):
You know, is that official that we're going yet?

Speaker 4 (01:11:17):
That's that's coming up in a little bit on the agenda.
But we're on the You're on the Mad Dragons podcast,
proudly sponsored by Complete Warehouse Solutions. We'll get into this
segment now. Coco isn't on tonight, but it's Billy's Battles.

Speaker 10 (01:11:34):
Yes, here we are.

Speaker 19 (01:11:36):
So they're slugging it out in the middle of the field,
the Dragons, but Row is not his blocker.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
It's time to look at the one o one battles
that will decide the will it be in the change positions?

Speaker 10 (01:11:58):
Will the fact wid what.

Speaker 8 (01:12:01):
Will front scrap your Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:12:25):
Sorry, sorry, mom, I just sent me something extremely funny.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
And had your own personal battle beforehand. People want to
know how what happened in that one?

Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
That really? Is you ready? How'd you come?

Speaker 16 (01:12:38):
He hasn't come back since I keep I keep this
stupid beanie around. I did a Lomax tackle to him. Sam,
you gave me this stupid toy. I threw that on
the floor.

Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
Again.

Speaker 20 (01:12:56):
Look rubbish. This week's me versus my brother. Let's go
versus Klink Gutherson. Those are my two battles for this week,
Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 15 (01:13:14):
I think they're both very vital to this week in
the game, and me being my brother should have a
big saying how the Dragon should perform on the weekend
when they go up against the Blake Roosters.

Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
So why why have you gone to Desco and govers
and give us the reasons?

Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Why?

Speaker 4 (01:13:28):
Why do you think both both out the fullbacks are
key to each other's fortunes this weekend?

Speaker 6 (01:13:35):
Mate?

Speaker 10 (01:13:35):
Yes, so both those players are so influential.

Speaker 15 (01:13:39):
Like people do not understand Tedesco has saved the Roosters
and Gutson has kind of saved us in the same way.
I guess we have we have a much stronger team.
But I just think the way Gutherson's defensive organization is
and his leadership from the back of the field. There

(01:13:59):
may that is so great for us, we would be
stuffed and four roosters Tedisco has just done.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
He's their only form of attack.

Speaker 12 (01:14:11):
Yeah, he seems to dictate the line speed, that's going
to happen. He does, he does, he runs and you know,
he creates gaps and plays the ball quick.

Speaker 8 (01:14:21):
Yeah, things happen around him.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Yeah. I don't like how he drops in tackles, but
he gets the attack and drops to his knees so
it's easy to find you hit him in the head.
I don't like how he does that. That's a bit
of a bit of a dog act. But part of
the part of the rules. If you get hit in
the head and that's a big hit the bin.

Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
Yep, Now, big t what what what are your cat
trucks for this game?

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
I love the outsides.

Speaker 8 (01:14:51):
I like.

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
And now I'm going to us say and two poo
up against slowan and and I'm sorry, Yeah, I think
is going to be too quick for both of those guys.
I'm not saying that, guys. Those guys are slow. Two
turns like a bus. He doesn't turn too quick, so

(01:15:15):
we can get in behind him and get slow with
his speed to overtake him to the ball. I think
that's what we should do, as well as just tip
the ball and chip the ball in behind on the
ground to to Poo because he.

Speaker 8 (01:15:30):
Needs to kick.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
He needs to kick along along the ground to to
to poo and slow, slow and shorter, slower get to
the ball faster. Two poo takes a long time to
turn around, if you noticed. I think we'll go that side.
I think it's Billy Smith out side as well, Smith
and Poo. I think we'll I think we'll we'll attack

(01:15:52):
that side of the field hopefully and.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Slowan on our side.

Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
Left left just seems to be like an like an
old machine at the moment when charms into that left
hand side. He judged the right to but chips into
the left. That just seems well oil that side, so
we'll go that way as well.

Speaker 8 (01:16:15):
I reckon they're going to try and exploit Slain in defense.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
I think I don't think he's missed too many tackles
over the last few weeks, but.

Speaker 8 (01:16:25):
He's been bad.

Speaker 12 (01:16:26):
But that's probably where i'd target, just to try and
catch him off guard.

Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
A bit of an offer on the table for yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
Oh he may he may want your referee a game
for him.

Speaker 8 (01:16:41):
What the hell is that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
Is anything to do with that? I'm that, I'm that
rob uh mate has been speaking about Scoop has anything
to do with that? What but the fact that that.

Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
Brothers I don't know what, maybe dimension or something, dementia
or something. Since he's just.

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
Give Scotty Scotty Scotty Jones a PM I send message
and let us.

Speaker 8 (01:17:21):
Know, all right, what you all?

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Anything on this shame made anything on this show.

Speaker 4 (01:17:31):
Anyone looking to see how the vale homes and see
anything a combination goes. Because we saw that in Charity
that was only a trial game.

Speaker 8 (01:17:38):
It looked really well. Yeah, it is very lethal.

Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
Hopefully they can get into an open space on on
Entac Day and maybe score a few tries between him.
That would be a sight to.

Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
See double double on both sides.

Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
They've got some good, good players though in that pack.
The Angus Crichton's a Test and Origin back row, so
that's going to be an intriguing matchup. He'll be up
against Jade and Sawer, I believe, and then on the
other side you've got youngst the Battle of the Young
back rowers. Phil Wong's been a highly tanned as a
as a as a player of the future. I think

(01:18:18):
Delannega will start, so that'll be a good battle packs.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
An international pack. You've got future future Australian I reckon
Toby Katzman Cookies played for Australia. Clem has played for Australia,
Sewer and Swer and have played for their countries. Jack
Debillin's yeah, so we got we've got an international pack.
They're just that they're old.

Speaker 8 (01:18:42):
But Toby Catsman, he'll play Origin for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
The Battle of the Thirteens will be good one too.
They just take a all day Radley and Deblin. Yeah,
Bradley and the Bell and they're both got interesting tackling
techniques and we're going to really have to Yeah, that's
going to be I think key. If we can, If

(01:19:09):
we can be on song in defense and not clock
off like we did against Manly, we've got a real
chance in this game because realistically, you go back at
that game, we should have easily won that game by twenty.

Speaker 8 (01:19:23):
Well, we did clock off times. We're lucky to get
away with it.

Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
I thought, hmm, when the roosters are aside. If they
get going, they are very hard to stop. So they've
been up and down. When they're on, they're on. So Dragons,
don't let me stuck.

Speaker 12 (01:19:41):
Real quick, we only be playing from behind against them,
because if they get a sneer, I'm not going to
need to play from in front.

Speaker 8 (01:19:48):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
All right, now we're getting to our well, we won't.
We'll skip the damien when that goes for about ten minutes,
so we won't. We won't play that one. Lisa Marie,
good question. We haven't won free to row, Donnie, our captain,
pointed out since the last three games in twenty twenty two.
How good would that be if we won free in

(01:20:13):
a row there.

Speaker 8 (01:20:14):
We maybe.

Speaker 6 (01:20:20):
Maybe Captain Donnie's the curse.

Speaker 8 (01:20:23):
That's where the consistency question gets it right. We need
to win that, that's right, We need it considered the threat.

Speaker 4 (01:20:33):
Mm hmm. Okay, now we'll get into some news and rumors.
So the first one we've got on the list, the
Dragons are one of four teams in line to play
at Las Vegas. Had the report come through the Sydney
Morning Herald today, so it looks like the Dragons will
go up against the Bulldogs, and it looks like the

(01:20:56):
they were favoring the Melbourne they were looking at the
Storm and the doll funds, but now it looks like
the Knights will be heading as well as the Cowboys.
Big T. What do you think this would mean if
we got to go to Las Vegas with the Dogs
next year and the Knights and Cowboys, would you would
would you be flying over to.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
I wish I could fly over. I just don't have
the available funds made. If anybody wants to send me over,
I'll be happy to.

Speaker 7 (01:21:24):
Go with them.

Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
That's who wants us to go, But you have to
make enough so my missus, because I wouldn't be able
to go without.

Speaker 6 (01:21:44):
Her, Well send like an episode.

Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Yeah, I'd love to go over there and watch them
watch him play at Alleging Stadium. I just watched WrestleMania
over the weekend with my younger son and that was
it Legends State that had sixty five thousand people there
both days. So that was a great effort.

Speaker 8 (01:22:08):
Good because we are stadium full of Dragon supporters, supporters
going to get pray the guy.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure these guys could help
us go. Yeah, three.

Speaker 4 (01:22:26):
Is he young? What's that Steve Ally's not watching?

Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
Is he?

Speaker 8 (01:22:30):
I don't care. He won't leave the country. I didn't
never want to get the approve. Yeah, all right, I'm
gonna say, but I won't.

Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
Scoop mark Piggy Riddell name named Emerald w assistant coach today?
What are your fourth first thoughts on this one?

Speaker 6 (01:22:59):
I think it's a great appointment for him. He's just dragging,
slugging through and through. I reckon, it's a really good
appointment for our So how about good God our young
women through, just through the ranks and show them how
speed drive.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
It's a good that. It's a good good appointment because
he's not going to distract the girls with his body.
Is he sorry? The girls are not going to worry
about Piggy. He's not going to distract the girls.

Speaker 6 (01:23:28):
So it's a good appointment.

Speaker 8 (01:23:30):
What's on the men's coaching team?

Speaker 4 (01:23:35):
Stall?

Speaker 8 (01:23:37):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
So?

Speaker 8 (01:23:37):
Now he's been promoted him too?

Speaker 4 (01:23:38):
That? Yep?

Speaker 8 (01:23:40):
Okay, Steve Ali doesn't have a passport. Tell me something
we don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
I've even heard some people throw this at me, Billy, Yes.

Speaker 8 (01:24:00):
I have to I have to go.

Speaker 10 (01:24:02):
There's something that happens.

Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
So what did you do about?

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
You broke his leg? In't you? He broke his leg?

Speaker 4 (01:24:12):
In here have the game? What's gonna happen?

Speaker 15 (01:24:15):
Do you think dragons twenty eight to sixteen? Governs in
the score to jad Betters score and give me sewer
he deserves as all.

Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
I say, all right, my brother, thanks for you night, Billy.

Speaker 10 (01:24:29):
Dagon's for life, baby, Yeah one dragons.

Speaker 4 (01:24:32):
For all right, So we'll keep the chat going. Yeah,
I've even I've even had some messages from people. Is
piggy Withdell going to show racing McGregor had a goal kick.
It's not over, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
You can't do that. You can't do that in Melbourne.

Speaker 8 (01:24:50):
I'm same days of the old Hitler. Then you can't.

Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
Do any Melbourne anymore. You can't do it anywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
Oh you've got Steve Ally started young, he's he.

Speaker 8 (01:25:01):
I have fun? How well he mentioned that? Ok? Well,
how will Branson zi get a passport? Then?

Speaker 5 (01:25:11):
How?

Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:25:16):
All right, Jess next one Delian leaderboard got up there today.
Clint Gumpson got five points in the win over Manly.
Toby Cashman and ty rossl also got a point each.
Lei also Pold five points for many, running fifth on
the DLIM leader board. What's your take on that big team?

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
Is that? Sorry? And he deserves it. He deserves to
be running the fifth. He's been our best player nearly
every week. I'm totally surprised that Toby Catsman has only
got one dei en point.

Speaker 8 (01:25:55):
Great game, but he's been the most consistent.

Speaker 4 (01:26:05):
A couple.

Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
You've got one point, you got that, you got that
this week. It is a different story because he's a winger.
You know, he scores tries. But tybe, Catsman should be
up there in the Dellian points as well.

Speaker 4 (01:26:22):
At least.

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
It should be four points for sure who they don't
disclose he tips him.

Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
Now they don't do that anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Now I want to croc of ship. It goes Dalaim
is a dead mate. Don't worry about Dams.

Speaker 4 (01:26:42):
He's also leading the and o'll top Triss Young ten
trisists most of the n r L.

Speaker 8 (01:26:50):
This is Catsman. No, but you're talking about Catsman. But
he's been really good for us. We copped a lot
of ship from opposition fans when he was coming.

Speaker 12 (01:27:06):
But I think he's surprised. He's definitely been one of
our better players than a really good pick up.

Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
Yeah, Paramota definitely do miss him, that's for sure, a lot.

Speaker 8 (01:27:20):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
But if if Scoops, if Scoop Scoop comes through, Galvin
to Paramatta and Brown Newcastle and Pierce Tigers and Johnny
Rotten to the sex Pistols, if that comes, if you
that comes true, Paramount, Paramount are going to have the side.

Speaker 8 (01:27:43):
To be.

Speaker 4 (01:27:45):
Where's I don't know what what what's he mean here?

Speaker 7 (01:27:48):
Mm hmm?

Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
Triss lists and.

Speaker 4 (01:27:54):
I don't think it's very high. You can drop the
ball on the.

Speaker 8 (01:27:57):
Tryal a shock last week? Did I heard about.

Speaker 4 (01:28:02):
Back to twenty fifteen?

Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
Youngie?

Speaker 8 (01:28:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Yeah, another another headline. New South Wales women's team will
be named for Origin one tomorrow. Scoop Teagan Berry and
Casey Ray are among the Dragons girls in the squad,
the extendeds training squad. Do any of them make the cut?

Speaker 6 (01:28:24):
If any our bloody hope so Jesse, because those two
have been by far the best players on the park
last year. I won't be surprised if they managed to
make it through. Or it's going to be brown paper
bags under the table and Dragons girls get left out.

Speaker 4 (01:28:47):
Well and funny you say that brown Packer bags. The
new the new new South Walest coach is the Rooster's coach,
John Strange.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
Is a good coach, good family earl of Ethan at
the Raiders and.

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
And Jasmine at the Roosters.

Speaker 8 (01:29:03):
M hmm.

Speaker 6 (01:29:05):
I'm surprised if and Strange gets offered to go to
the Roosters.

Speaker 8 (01:29:11):
He's a good that's that guy a camera those really well,
he's good.

Speaker 6 (01:29:18):
Because no one wants to left or playing camera. It's
a ship.

Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
That's very cold in winter.

Speaker 12 (01:29:24):
I will never forget when somebody asked Willie Mason a
number of years ago and they said, he said, you
could offer me a million dollars to.

Speaker 8 (01:29:34):
Go to Canberra and I wouldn't go. And they said,
well why not? And he said, because this camera.

Speaker 4 (01:29:42):
They always go to England.

Speaker 8 (01:29:43):
They always yeah, but you get to England before you
got to Camera.

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
England. It's like Camera. So that's why they used.

Speaker 8 (01:29:51):
To That's why they're bringing the palms over from Camera
because they can fit.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
In anyone that want to live there. It's so cold.

Speaker 4 (01:29:58):
Yeah, I wouldn't want to leave in camp be cold yet,
but you wouldn't want to go that.

Speaker 8 (01:30:03):
I wouldn't want to live in camera.

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Just because it's camera, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:30:10):
Yeah, as as we mentioned to top, simply got four weeks, Scoop,
you're referees expert. The four weeks for the dangerous contact
the hip hop on Mattine fair, unfair, Deanna Old judiciary,
get it right.

Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
I want to have to hate to say this, but
I think they did get it right because clearly that
was a hip hop backle against matt than I, and
it ruled him out for the rest of games. So
I reckon it's a.

Speaker 8 (01:30:38):
He reckons it wasn't a hip drop, cares Captain.

Speaker 6 (01:30:42):
Jhnny Bell says, I don't think it was.

Speaker 8 (01:30:46):
You had I think it was.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
It was just an unfortunate mess. If he wants to tackle,
if you want to tackle, simply comes into the tackle
and crop the point of Phenie's shoulder.

Speaker 6 (01:31:04):
Shoulder. But it was a clear hip drop.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
You watch it, You watch it skip. He goes straight
into the shoulder of PHOENI gets knocked out. He's knocked
out cold. He falls onto the legs of Phenie, which
looks like a hip drop. He didn't have a clue
what he was doing. And then and then the other
manly player came in and shirt fronted Phenie and nearly
took his head off with his chest. But like I said,

(01:31:30):
like I said him on Sunday night she watched top
Sifley wasn't allowed back on because he was continuing on
with the HIA, so he couldn't come off another five
minutes after his ten minutes, so he was out cold. Unfortunate,
I was it was tailing an accident, but unfortunately it
was a hip drop tackle similar and he got four

(01:31:54):
weeks for it.

Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
Anyway, right moving on, we'll move still tips for the
ends that round. It's round eight. It's going to be
interesting to open a round Thursday night. We'll start with
you young. It is the Broncos on the Bulldogs at
Sun Court. Okay, the Broncos have made a couple of changes,
so Recee w wash out for six weeks, so Selon

(01:32:20):
moves from the winger pullback, Dean Mariner comes in on
the wing for his first game in quite a while,
and Xavier Willison gets a start on the edge with
Jade to the bench, and Brendon Pioku also returns for
suspense from suspension. For the Bulldogs, they are only one

(01:32:45):
change Harry Hayes comes in for the injured Jack Todd
who's got out with an injury. Bulldogs are flying, aren't they?

Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
Young?

Speaker 8 (01:32:54):
Yeah, I gotta tip the dog. I don't want to
admit it. I don't want to hear anyone on his
or here given the Dogs.

Speaker 4 (01:33:02):
But I'm that's because you had the broncast.

Speaker 8 (01:33:07):
They got lucky limited dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
The Bulldogs haven't been a team.

Speaker 8 (01:33:15):
To d run up there, Tea.

Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
So what I'm saying is last year's top eight, I
haven't been the team that was in the top eight
except for Carnola. They've been everybody that was out of
the top eight. So they're running on a false year.

Speaker 4 (01:33:29):
This year.

Speaker 8 (01:33:29):
They're going good.

Speaker 12 (01:33:30):
They got on their side the false but can they
beat the broncost without Race Walsh?

Speaker 8 (01:33:36):
That's going to be the thing. Like he's he's a
big part of the broncost as well. He's not in anybody.

Speaker 4 (01:33:44):
Cowboys going to fall back.

Speaker 7 (01:33:46):
Yeah, I don't like both.

Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
Times, big Tea, do you like the Dogs or I
just said like a good move.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
I just said the dogs are on a false, false,
false run. They haven't been anybody that was in the
top eight this year. They've beating Carnola. But you know
what Corona are like, Yeah, I've got to gain the Dogs.
But Brisbane they got beat by the Roosters last week, didn't.

Speaker 12 (01:34:18):
They Still early in the season. Some of these teams
are like Paineth Melbourne they're still getting it together.

Speaker 8 (01:34:24):
Melbourne come good late in the Bodogs.

Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
I still want to play Melbourn. They still going to
play Panthers. They're still going to play they yet so yeah, yet, No,
I'm gonna I'm gonna go Dogs. But they might be
an upset.

Speaker 12 (01:34:41):
Okay what Yeah they are to you to get rolled.

Speaker 8 (01:34:45):
Yeah, someone's going to get them.

Speaker 2 (01:34:49):
There are one hundred and fifteen dollars to goe O
the season with without a loss. It's not going to happen, right.

Speaker 4 (01:35:00):
The second of the Anzac Day triple header will be
on at six o'clock on Friday over in New Zealand.
The Warriors, they had an they had a shock win
over the Broncos last Saturday night. They do welcome back,
chance of a clock start and rock o'berry.

Speaker 8 (01:35:17):
And which player.

Speaker 4 (01:35:23):
And Kirk Kate will shifts back to the back row
and Lackahella back to the bench for the Knights. They've
been very disappointing. Bunny scored sixty points in six weeks
of football or something, averaging just ten points a game. Yes, yeah,
they do. Welcome back Dylan Lucas. That does help him
a little bit. And that's really their only change, Scoop.

(01:35:49):
The Knights have been awful. The Warriors, they haven't lost
the game this year.

Speaker 6 (01:35:56):
I'm gonna I'm looking at the line up here, I'm like,
I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle becomes the new Wooden Spooners,
if Paramounta wins small games. So I'm gonna it's gonna
be a tough, gritty game over in New Zealand. I'm
gonna have to go with New Zealand Warriors win over
against Brisbane last week. My god, that was I reckon

(01:36:20):
for New Zealand fans after Seawn Chompson retired. I reckon
that was the best win in New Zealand Warrior's history
over the Bronx. So I'm going to go New Zealand
by by twelve.

Speaker 4 (01:36:36):
All right, big team, do you like the Do you
like the Warriors in this one? Or do the Knights
finally get it together? Their attacks just not.

Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
There they're not there. They's keep swapping halves as well. Again.
They've done it again this year, three games, three games
in the row. They swapped their haves. Don't hate getting
your continuity swapping your halves. Maybe they got after you
give Jackson Hastings a run. He's still up there somewhere.

Speaker 6 (01:37:02):
But yeah, finish.

Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
You will wait for me to finish now, I think
I think that are going to get the job done.
You think, yeah, Adam, Adam is going to be your
first first coach sacked this year. See you like Adam?

Speaker 8 (01:37:23):
All right?

Speaker 6 (01:37:23):
Well, what I was going to say is after Big
t is Newcastle really do need Dylan Brown up there
right now, So I wouldn't be surprised before tune for
deadline is Brown will be thirty deadline.

Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
They got rid of that years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
You can get whatever you want it back.

Speaker 6 (01:37:43):
They should bring it back because I reckon by midway
through this year or after Origin, Newcastle will have Dylan Brown.

Speaker 12 (01:37:51):
Americans versus Bulldogs Grand Final.

Speaker 6 (01:37:57):
That won't happen.

Speaker 8 (01:38:00):
I'm not saying we go on that for yet.

Speaker 6 (01:38:04):
Two to three years.

Speaker 8 (01:38:05):
They put that rumor out there and I'll never will
never hear the end of it.

Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
All right, So the game on Friday, it was the
first time these two sides played on ends that day
last year. Uh it was where the Melbourne Storm piled
on fifty against the rabbit O's Melbourne. They come off
a shock hiding against the Dolphins Junggy. The Dolphins really
put him to the sword in that second half. They've

(01:38:29):
been hit by the injury cursed the Melbourne Storm. Harry
Grant's out for six weeks. He's out of origin one.

Speaker 6 (01:38:37):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Nick mean, he's broken his jaw, but he's back, so
that's a big in for him. They have lost Jack
hal for the dissicated shoulder. If he requires surgery, that's
his season done. So Bronson Garlet will again play hooker
and Lazarus by Leap who is the new face on
the bench for the Storm. For the rabbit O's Bailey

(01:39:00):
Bentley Harpey, he comes in for just his second NRL game.
His last game was in that game against the Dragons
back in round two. Jaden Sullivan returns it half back
from suspension. You and a can shift to the back
row with Latron Mitchell going back to fullback. The inform
Joy Gray has been benched by the bunnies and Lewis.

Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
Like that knave.

Speaker 4 (01:39:25):
Storm rabbits.

Speaker 12 (01:39:29):
The Storm have just been hammered by the mighty Fins.
I can't see them getting beat this week. They would
have copped it all week from Bellamy, it would have
been a tough week at training for any Storm player.

Speaker 8 (01:39:45):
I think the Storm he's a thing on that one.
I reckon.

Speaker 12 (01:39:50):
You wouldn't want to be a Storm player this week
after the hammer. He would have gone beliastick Adam.

Speaker 6 (01:40:00):
I say, I don't like the mourf that the South
and he's done. They should have kept Latroll Mitchell in
the centers, Camel Graham on the wing, Chi Gray at fullback.
They should have kept that combination.

Speaker 4 (01:40:15):
And he's injured with a hamstring injury.

Speaker 8 (01:40:20):
Wonder what's around ten so well.

Speaker 6 (01:40:23):
I I haven't made with the South sending supporter he said.

Speaker 21 (01:40:27):
He wor colleague, so woollies, he says, but he prefers
Chi Gray out fullback over Latrell Mitchell.

Speaker 6 (01:40:38):
Latrell Mitchell is a better center for any years of fullback.

Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
Yeah, I agreed, But you want the trus to get
the ball ball in his hands as much as he can,
so if he plays in the field, So.

Speaker 8 (01:40:55):
Either you need the ball exploring players out wide.

Speaker 4 (01:40:59):
You he's a hard bloke to tackle out wide.

Speaker 8 (01:41:08):
Yeah, he's wasted it eight honestly.

Speaker 4 (01:41:10):
Yeah. And Cameron Murray had a set back this earlier.
Today he's gone for the season. He will not.

Speaker 8 (01:41:19):
Yeah, bad luck another big out.

Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
Here's a big out.

Speaker 12 (01:41:28):
With all those players that say House have got out,
I've got them in the top four. But without him,
I don't see him playing for his footy.

Speaker 4 (01:41:37):
Do you like Melbourne in this one, scoop?

Speaker 11 (01:41:39):
Do they?

Speaker 4 (01:41:39):
As Youngie said, Tellamy would have had a rocket up them.

Speaker 8 (01:41:44):
I'm going to go.

Speaker 6 (01:41:45):
It's going to be a good game.

Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
I'm going to go.

Speaker 6 (01:41:48):
It's not gonna be like last year's fashion. I'm gonna
go Melbourne by eighteen.

Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
Yeah, he's a stick for you. Have never won a
game in Melbourne now, I haven't known.

Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
That's a terrible stand, isn't it? All the back to
Olympic Park.

Speaker 8 (01:42:07):
Well, that's has not many not many teams do win
in Melbourne.

Speaker 4 (01:42:14):
Last year, well.

Speaker 8 (01:42:20):
Against Melbourne down here as a day I'm in Melbourne.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
Yeah, po. Do you go to many games as you're
too far away from Yeah?

Speaker 12 (01:42:30):
No, no, I've been to quite a few Storm games.
It's actually a good night out, good stadium. I'm not
going to I'm not going to say I'm a Storm
fan or anything, but you kind of you. I mean,
you've got enough games, especially when they're playing Cannbury or
teams like that.

Speaker 2 (01:42:49):
Yeah, both of them will make it sure.

Speaker 4 (01:42:52):
No, he's talking about he's talking about they both top
eight teams last year.

Speaker 2 (01:42:57):
Were they Sorry, but the Knights went out in the
first round. Semifinals don't start till the second week. If
you got the first week, you didn't make the.

Speaker 4 (01:43:07):
Semis, all right, big team will start nearly.

Speaker 8 (01:43:13):
This one.

Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
It's a Queensland battle, this one the Cowboys versus the Titans,
the five point thirty game on Saturday. Cowboys coming off
the by They haven't played since they win over Over
South's in Perth, and I don't they do welcome back
John Bateman on then edge and Harrison Edwards chops out

(01:43:36):
the Titans promising for moments against the Raiders. Then they
shut up shop when they led sixteen yil and it
was a crazy game of football against the Raiders. They
do welcome back a Lofiana Carperreira on the wing, so
Alan Fitzgibbon drops out of the team. Tom Weaver looked
good for moments at half back in their game against

(01:43:58):
the Raiders, and then Isaac Barcel and he drops out
of the seventeen with brock Gray Brackford suspension, Big t
Who do you like in this one? Do the Cows
keep going? The Titans? As Bossy said in the in
the in the commentary of this game, they're probably one
of the most frustrating teams in the comp to watch

(01:44:19):
on their day.

Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
Any team the Titans are. They've got some good players.
Camperreira is a finisher from way back. You know, a
couple of weeks ago he was in India. But round two,

(01:44:42):
Tom Waver comes in or coming in side last week
for for Jayden, I don't think a J. Brimston's a
five eighth. I think they're pulling crutching at Straws having
in there. He's a fullback. He's a fullback every day
of the week.

Speaker 8 (01:45:00):
I've lost the Titans since Kenny's gone.

Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
Yeah, since Kenny got locked out. Yeah we were again
for a while. He's got made for a waker reading
cable girl on up front for the Titans. They are
two big players they played and through the middle. No
Isaac this week. Yeah, I think the care Boys will

(01:45:25):
keep winning. They've been the Panthers a couple of weeks
ago as well, so it might even win. Yeah, I'm
going to the cows Yang.

Speaker 8 (01:45:37):
Yeah, I'm going Caws. I think it might have. I'm
not going to scoop and say fifty points. Let's put
it that way.

Speaker 7 (01:45:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
The next game on Saturday will be at Comback Stadium
the Panthers and the Sea Eagles. That's five game on
Saturday night. For the Panthers. Luke Summitson comes in with
Mitch Kenny out suspended for two weeks. Liam Henry will
start in the front row as he did against the Roosters.
Lindsey Smith will be off the bench, and Maverick Guy

(01:46:14):
comes into the seventeen with Luke Garner out for the
and Isaac Tanga will start in the centers again for
mainly a big in. I'm not sure how fit he is.
Tom to Tommy Turbo is back at fullback, which sees
lead by Powhida go to the wing. Tommy Tallad drops
out of the starting side, Josh All on the bench,

(01:46:39):
Scoop let me let me finish. Josh Alier returns from injury,
so he'll start in the front row. Jack Sikin was
on the was on the bench, so he promoted to
the starting lineup. Jake ta Voyage is out after concussion
against US last week, which sees Jazz Tavanga moved to
Locke Tommy to drops back to the bench. Corey would

(01:47:01):
also return from suspension, which says Clayton fal I dropped
out of the seventeen. Now, big T, who do you
like in this one?

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
I got a lot of the camp. The Panthers bounced
bake well I had they had. They had a win
last week, but over the Roosters. But I think they'll
continue continue. I think since Mary is Mary, has Mary
come back from England, because you don't know me if
she's back. Clearly hasn't got blue balls anymore, and he

(01:47:34):
didn't he didn't have him last week. He didn't have
him last week he had a blinder. So Mary must
be back from England.

Speaker 19 (01:47:41):
And.

Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
I think the Panthers can win this one over Manly.
I don't think Tom's fit d was mainly haven't won
since now he was leaving and if you haven't look
at his her stats last.

Speaker 8 (01:47:59):
Week, they're gonna win sooner or later.

Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
He had won one trisist I think last week nothing
much else.

Speaker 4 (01:48:07):
So all right, Scoop, it's not going to be a
fifty nail scoreline or one hundred dollars it.

Speaker 6 (01:48:14):
No, I'm going to I'm gonna say it's gonna be
a tight one.

Speaker 2 (01:48:19):
I like tight ones.

Speaker 6 (01:48:21):
Pampas Campus.

Speaker 2 (01:48:25):
Got football games.

Speaker 4 (01:48:28):
Panthers by eight. All right. Now, the first of the
Sunday games is down in camp as we were talking
about before Sunday afternoon at two o'clocking camera. It is
the Raiders that they've been impressed the last few weeks.
I think they've won friend in a row.

Speaker 8 (01:48:45):
Now unchanged.

Speaker 4 (01:48:50):
The Dolphins. Max plaf Will will still play despite picking
up a foot injury. He's been named Frankie Molow will
plays first game for the Dolphins up front, and Mark
Nichols will lock the scrum for Les Kusey has picked
up an injury as well in that win over the Storm.
Still know Jeremy Marshall King after that laceration to his

(01:49:13):
leg and then went over the Panthers two weeks ago.
It's a huge, huge cut on his leg. He got
to cot the boot stud right through the meddal of
his leg if you've seen it. Ouch and Josh Kerr
impressive off the bench as well as was ray Stone.

Speaker 8 (01:49:31):
How good has he been Graystone up there? Well? Gray
Stone as well, but Josh Kerr has been going really
well up there.

Speaker 4 (01:49:42):
What are your thoughts on this game?

Speaker 8 (01:49:43):
Young, Well, those that know me know that I've got
a soft spot for the Fins. I'm going for the fins.

Speaker 4 (01:49:51):
You for the fins in camera.

Speaker 8 (01:49:52):
I'm going for the fins in camera.

Speaker 2 (01:49:56):
It's a long way from them. It's a long way
from the addressing camera. You're gonna walk for a mile
to get to the ground, through corridor and underneath pipes
and all the way from all the way from I
think camera came back at for in a row. The

(01:50:16):
Dolphins are The Dolphins are a great They're looking to
be a great team. But yeah, I think Camber and camera.

Speaker 8 (01:50:25):
It's actually an underrated squad. They just got to click.

Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
I did got to click. They got a good forward.

Speaker 8 (01:50:32):
It's a good squad.

Speaker 2 (01:50:33):
They got a good four pack tapper, Papa le Hutch
and young Starling's meaning good form. It's just a young backs.
I got a young young back line.

Speaker 4 (01:50:44):
So very exciting players.

Speaker 2 (01:50:47):
They have great players. I had them for I had
them coming last because of the youth in the side.
But it doesn't seem to be.

Speaker 4 (01:50:56):
Finals this year. The Raiders, I looked up or a
lot of.

Speaker 8 (01:51:01):
People are tipping them to be the smokey to go
all the way.

Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
Okay, if you want to. Over the last few years,
camera win those close games, they win the grind.

Speaker 12 (01:51:11):
That's something we can't we get into Golden growing. Look
what we did against Paramount against Seth mentioned. If we
won those two games.

Speaker 4 (01:51:23):
We were in second, we'd be top four, he'll be second.

Speaker 2 (01:51:27):
We'll be on twelve points. Yeah, running two points behind
the Bulldogs. But we didn't put those games away. We
led twelve million.

Speaker 8 (01:51:34):
Both of them. So we're being untalked about for that reason.

Speaker 2 (01:51:37):
See what's the next game, Jess?

Speaker 4 (01:51:40):
All right, Yeah, I think the Raiders will get it
done there. But yeah, they've both been quite good recently,
both teams. But I just want to say, how good
is the half that go on Isakhtyer in that game?

Speaker 12 (01:51:59):
I think all an interview with Joey Johns during the
week and he said he's a six out of ten
sort of player at the moment, but give him a
couple of years. He reckons he's going to be a
ten out of ten player. So he says he has
definitely got the makings have been a really good half.

Speaker 4 (01:52:15):
Once, once and clear we are done, he reckons he
will be the new soth Wales half back.

Speaker 19 (01:52:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:52:21):
I was going to mention that he's a real smoky
to be the next half back from New was in
the future.

Speaker 8 (01:52:28):
Yeah, his kicking game is outstanding. I wish we had that.

Speaker 4 (01:52:32):
Rob's got a message for your scoop, special.

Speaker 12 (01:52:38):
Request from Matt who is Matt lad By the way,
did anybody ever figured it out?

Speaker 2 (01:52:43):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:52:45):
It was right.

Speaker 6 (01:52:47):
That's Froggy wrong. Probably stuff that he's going for you
still maybe.

Speaker 4 (01:52:54):
Yeah, alright, last game is likehard on Sunday afternoon. It's
time the Tigers will play it like that. This year
they're up against the Sharks that the Tigers do have
a couple of changes. Lachland Galvin a week after being
dropped for what's going on with the Lachland Galvin saga,
Benji Marshall has recalled him to the site. After their

(01:53:16):
disappointing loss to the Eels yesterday, they do welcome back
Royce Hunt on the bench and that season also coming
back in Adam Dewey goes back to the centers, Brent
Naden goes to the wing. Luke La Lily drops out
of the site. As for the Sharks, they have lost

(01:53:38):
Toby Rudolph with a leg injury. I think I'm not
sure what part of his length he got injured. So
to how tou comes onto the bench? Can you say
that name big ts A big boy?

Speaker 2 (01:53:53):
He's a big boy.

Speaker 4 (01:53:57):
The Tigers, but they say it's the one of the world,
Like I level on a Sunday afternoon, Why is that
big team the Tigers? Do you do you like them at?

Speaker 8 (01:54:08):
Like her?

Speaker 2 (01:54:09):
I do like them a like over the last few years.
I think they played like ut for a couple of
a couple of years years ago they beat them there
like oh yeah that well at the beginning of the year,
like I was falling apart and nearly wasn't used They're
going I spent I spent a heap of money on

(01:54:30):
the back then fixing up the because what happened is
they're a junior game, and the and the fence fell
down and everybody fell on top of each other. It
was like a massive orgy. Yeah, if they've done it up,
it'll be fantastic. But if the Tigers and if the tigers,
if the Tigers and the magpies can't like getting married

(01:54:53):
properly because tigers are always talking about pulling out the
right way. Have to have kids either, that's not the
right way, not to have kids. Have your pet spade
and nut. Yeah, you know, tigers can win this game.
Have a lucky gaalvan back. I don't know what that's

(01:55:15):
going to do with the side. Is there going to
be animosterity towards him because he wants to go scoop
saying he'd be going by the end of the year.

Speaker 6 (01:55:24):
Not even by the end of the year, before the
end of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:55:29):
I'm just I'm not I'm not quoting what you said.
I'm just para quoting saying by the end of the year.
But yeah, as Rob Sagoona says, the dragon targets the
sharks up the dragons, I think the Tigers can get
it done because that would be good for us if

(01:55:55):
we when we win.

Speaker 6 (01:55:56):
So I'm gonna have to just grow for your big tea.
I'm thinking the Sharks might win because of this Lockland
Gavin Saga of the Tigers, and I wouldn't be surprised
after this week Tigers and locking Gavin's walking papers like
passionate grounds.

Speaker 2 (01:56:16):
Yes, Jess, can you make one of those dolls up
that we see in the other day? I thought we
were going to have a looking tonight, but we'll have
a look at him on the weekend. Get one for?
Do you get one for? Scoop made up saying I
just want to say, I just want to I just
want to say. That's that's his catch tag phrase line,
I just want to say, I.

Speaker 8 (01:56:37):
Want to cry about something.

Speaker 12 (01:56:38):
Isn't that he.

Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
Likes he likes to.

Speaker 4 (01:56:48):
Have you seen his doll?

Speaker 8 (01:56:50):
I don't want to see that.

Speaker 2 (01:56:51):
Do the most important game? Talking about the.

Speaker 6 (01:56:59):
About that's important game of the year suggests this is.

Speaker 4 (01:57:02):
Going to be the game of the round for sure.
The Roosters and the Dragons four pm Friday, ends at
the Ali Stadium. But take us away, Scoop, what's your tip?
Are the Dragons going to claim the ends up day
cut for the first time in three years?

Speaker 6 (01:57:19):
I'm going to have to say, yes, Dragon's by eight.

Speaker 8 (01:57:25):
It's been that long. I thought we won the year before.

Speaker 2 (01:57:31):
Last time we won.

Speaker 6 (01:57:33):
I'm going to also throw crowing, guys, I'm going to
throw crowing.

Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
Let's get the crown, go and go and go scope
for crowing.

Speaker 6 (01:57:46):
I'm going to say I wouldn't be surprised the way
for that Victor Radley and James Tedesco players, I wouldn't
be surprised if there's a send off in this game
is at least between the two teams, there's going to
be one player cent off for a high tackle.

Speaker 2 (01:58:10):
It's a big crow. That's a big crow. All right,
I'll go axt jag.

Speaker 4 (01:58:16):
I'm going to go to the Dragons Dragons by ten.
I don't think we're going to get all that much joy.
We're going to win by ten. The roosters will turn up.
It's a huge occasion. The roosters normally lift for this
occasion as well, so this will be a big game.
I don't expect. I think both teams will drive on

(01:58:37):
the big stage. But I'm going to go the Dragons
by ten in this one. I'm going to go see
the only thing out of you in any time tryscorer.
He'll thrive on his return to the top grade. I
think Toby Cashman will get another fifty plus tackles in
the game, and I think, yeah, the Dragons by ten,
and on my first time, I'm going to go a
smoky I'm going to go. I'll go Carl Flanagan, Cayle

(01:59:03):
Flanagan against his own club.

Speaker 2 (01:59:06):
He's gonna win the Astons good.

Speaker 6 (01:59:15):
Anytime try score, I don't have to.

Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
Medal.

Speaker 6 (01:59:22):
Yeah, I'm gonna agree with Jess st Guffo.

Speaker 2 (01:59:26):
Guys, are what do you reckon? Made?

Speaker 8 (01:59:30):
I think too.

Speaker 12 (01:59:32):
I think Catsman could be amongst the points. But I'll
tip the Dragons by two with no confidence.

Speaker 2 (01:59:43):
Confidence.

Speaker 8 (01:59:45):
I be tight tussle arm wrestle game.

Speaker 6 (01:59:48):
My only time try scorer is going to be in now.

Speaker 4 (01:59:53):
Actually there is rain predicted on Friday, so that will
make it interesting.

Speaker 8 (01:59:58):
It's going to be sloppy, is it?

Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:00:03):
Fifteen, We won't get like that again, my mister Hale.

Speaker 4 (02:00:10):
And the game won't be called off.

Speaker 2 (02:00:12):
That's right, all right, my turn? Yes, I reckon Dragon,
I reckon Dragons by the score is going to be
about thirty four, thirty four, sixteen something like that, thirty
six aden something like that. Bye, I think there's going
to be double scored on both sides. Sliding for now

(02:00:34):
maybe maybe Yeah, big scoring and when I think we
can get done. We've got the team. We've got the players.
During the week, Ilias said, playing ship. Ilias said, we've
got the team and score points.

Speaker 8 (02:00:49):
Someone is going to see this and.

Speaker 2 (02:00:53):
We've got team. We've got the team to score points.
So I think we'll score doubles on both edges this week.

Speaker 4 (02:01:00):
Is no Robbie Saint Guffher he's been canonized as a
big ted.

Speaker 2 (02:01:06):
We've got We've got Saint Vale and Stuf.

Speaker 4 (02:01:11):
And St Cookie.

Speaker 2 (02:01:14):
Cookie Arett Scoop.

Speaker 8 (02:01:20):
Wasn't he a beach street Beach?

Speaker 2 (02:01:27):
That's too that's too scood.

Speaker 4 (02:01:29):
Yes, all right now, thanks everyone for for joining us tonight.
You've been watching the Bad Dragons podcast frown be sponsored
by Complete Werehouse Solutions. So go and see Jeff and
the team at six Commerce Drive, Lake Illawarra on four
two five seven one one five. Never mind, I've got

(02:01:51):
the number, you.

Speaker 2 (02:01:52):
Know, the number going to say, yes that we have
to win three in a row if we're going to
make the top this year. We've got to show that
we are a team and are going to make the
top back this year. And if we don't beat the
Roosters and we only win to and our form goes
up and down like it has for the last five years.

(02:02:13):
At least win one week, lose the next, maybe win
two in a row, then lose too in a row.
We can't do that. We can't do that. We've got
we've got to show we've got grit. We've got to
show we can finish the game off, finish the game off,
and we've got to show that, show the Roosters that
we're a team to be scared oft. We do need

(02:02:36):
that killer instinct and hopefully Guth can bring it because
he's got the killer instinct and I hope has a
big game. When on his comeback, he lived he lived
in this and suburbs as a kid and went to
this game a lot, So I'm not sure who we supported.

(02:02:58):
He might have been a south fand I'm not sure,
but anyway, we need we need.

Speaker 8 (02:03:03):
We need someone that can kick bloody field goals.

Speaker 2 (02:03:06):
We need a big game to cement ourselves. Lockdowns were saying,
if we meet the House, we beat Paramount, we're in
the top four and we should have beat Sous and
we should have been Paramount. So we've got to we've
got to show, we've got to show, we have to show,
we have to show we've got something this week.

Speaker 4 (02:03:26):
We no better occasion than doing it on the ends
at day.

Speaker 2 (02:03:31):
Exactly right, exactly right. It's a big day. It's an
emotional day. Lest we forget. Everyone has to go back
and remember remember what what those guys did for us
in the past.

Speaker 4 (02:03:43):
And if you want to make tribute to the country,
go to your local down service as well. On front.

Speaker 2 (02:03:48):
Exactly yeah, I'm going down the service down my club.

Speaker 6 (02:03:55):
I'm going to a service, good stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:04:00):
If anybody, If anybody's down the South coast, if anyone's
down the South coast, Green Moore Point, breen More Point
beats everybody else's dawn service hands down. It's a great
service down there. It's like we've got hate hate albatross
down here. We get all the boys out and the

(02:04:22):
pray is pretty good too, that bunch down the main street.

Speaker 4 (02:04:25):
So if you down before we finish off, just say
you what what anxact Day means to you all? And
then we'll head over the big tea to sign us off.
I'll start with you, scoop, what what does Ansact Day
mean to you.

Speaker 6 (02:04:40):
Inact Day means a lot to me because some people
might not know this, but I was a kidet. I'm
the third longest serving cadet Australia wide and pretty much
burning my cadet unit, so it means a lot to me.
So going around the stadium day listening to the last

(02:05:03):
post and silence, please do not carry on like a
fucking dick.

Speaker 8 (02:05:09):
And they're like the.

Speaker 4 (02:05:13):
Silent respect, show of respect to goes.

Speaker 6 (02:05:17):
I'm sure Jess's relatives big tease relatives. That's his relatives
and the rest.

Speaker 8 (02:05:23):
Of the podcast the war, yes, the war as well.

Speaker 6 (02:05:29):
In the war, I've had relatives in the war on
my dad's side, so it's my mom's side. Please don't
discrict respect. They please don't disrespect.

Speaker 4 (02:05:40):
Yes, and we wouldn't be here without those people today.

Speaker 8 (02:05:47):
Definitely and they agree mm hmmm.

Speaker 6 (02:05:52):
So please don't carry on like a fucking dickhead.

Speaker 4 (02:05:58):
Now, scoop, my dad's what I was.

Speaker 12 (02:06:06):
Sorry, I jumped in there early. I had a grandfather
the fort in the war too, so that it was
brings back memories of him and Anxact Day is probably
my next to playing the Broncos, probably my favorite game
of the year. So it's always special to me too,
and it always does remind me of that game that

(02:06:27):
I went to in twenty twelve Nxact Day game. It
was fantastic finish and it just shows you like you
never did that. I was thinking we were dead all
that game and we're two minutes to go to put
on two quick tries and win it. I that was
the best day of my life. I was just stunned,

(02:06:48):
but we won that. So that was a fantastic day
and it just it just reminds me of all of
those times and it's just a really great day. Anyone
that's never been to one worth going the one? Where
do you support the Roosters or the Dragons at day.

Speaker 6 (02:07:06):
Any other team?

Speaker 8 (02:07:08):
Yeah, big tea, what is what?

Speaker 2 (02:07:13):
It's a big day for me. I've done four years
in the Service TA Training Group five Field Supply, the
n S d C, all around Ingraburn and more Bank.
I didn't see any service.

Speaker 8 (02:07:29):
I was.

Speaker 2 (02:07:30):
Back in the eighties and nineties. We weren't. The only
closest I got to it was Christmas Island. But now
with our other Canifault parties, I've done Anzac days, I've
done I've done them all, that's a good day. We'll
get the end of the club. Remember having day down
here and have a couple of beers and remember, oh so.

Speaker 6 (02:07:52):
Put this coming up, Chessie, Williamcdonald wrong the heroes at
the Battleflong ten.

Speaker 4 (02:08:02):
His was.

Speaker 6 (02:08:06):
My heart's out here rory, especially if you watch the
movie Baller Flung ten that was extremely well made.

Speaker 4 (02:08:14):
Yeah, and my memories, I've got uh members of my
family in my on my father's side. I think that
fought in the war too, So yeah, it is as
I said before, we wouldn't be here today without them.
They sacrificed and fought for our country. We wouldn't have
the free country we would have today without what they

(02:08:35):
did for our country. So it's really a tribute to
what they did and thought for they wore, all those
lives lost. It really is a special day to honor
those and remember those who fought for us so greatly
for our country. And yeah, as I said, they we
wouldn't be here today without what they did for our country.
What the sacrifices they made, So thank you to them.

Speaker 6 (02:08:55):
And it really means forget.

Speaker 4 (02:09:00):
Big teeth if you can finish us off.

Speaker 2 (02:09:02):
And yeah, yeah mate, as As I said before, we've
got to show true grit on on Friday. We have
to give the top of the book. Sorry, the roosters,
their asses to their back to them. You know, we've
got to We've got to show them that we're a
team to be worried about. Anyway. Guys, in the morning,

(02:09:24):
