We'll get out Dragon and his fans and Happy New Year,
Merry Christmas, all that good guff, What a beautiful day
it is as well. I just wanted to get on
now and go through the Mad Dragons Vodcast Player of
the Year, the final seven rounds of the regular season.

(01:23):
Just reviewing the twenty twenty five season as we all
start to get excited and pumped up for what twenty
twenty six may offer. Of course, a few people maybe
starting to get fairly excited about twenty twenty seven rather
than twenty twenty six. With the well the surf certainly

(01:44):
highly speculated signing of Keyon Koloa Matangi, looking forward to
having him in the red and white in twenty twenty seven. Yeah,
he's a wonderful player. He's the missing piece of our pack.
We that pack leader. We've got a lot of very
very good young forwards, so adding Keeon Kaloa Matangi to

(02:09):
that list I think makes us a hell of a
lot stronger in twenty twenty seven. Not sure how twenty
twenty six is going to go. I think it's going
to be another building year, getting some minutes into those
that those young players legs, and hopefully a few less injuries.
I definitely don't think we look a better team on
paper than what we had on had in twenty twenty five.

(02:31):
We don't significantly better. There's a few areas where we've
improved slightly, but I wouldn't be expecting a massive uplift. However,
we had a horror injury run in twenty twenty five,
so you know, maybe if we have less injuries, twenty
twenty six can still be a better year. But I

(02:51):
certainly wouldn't be expecting top four or winning any premierships
in twenty twenty six. But twenty twenty seven, maybe a
different story keyon Kloa MTANGI might set some dominoes falling
as Shane Flanagan started to build the team that he's
looking for. But let's get in to the Mad Dragons

(03:12):
Vodkast Player of the Year, and we've been doing some
posts throughout that December and we got up to around
twenty so into around twenty one, and well, this was
a high scoring, disappointing performance given where we were sitting

(03:32):
at that stage of the year, taking on the Cowboys,
a team that wasn't going all that well. A lot
of points scored, defense not at the premium at all.
Sloan with a double Little got grabbed a double, Alan
and I scored tries as well, and Cole Flanagan with

(03:54):
war from six. There was another nail in the coffin
of the twenty twenty five season and really put us
on life support and into a situation where we pretty
much needed to win every single game after that point. Gary,
to see you in the comments, mate, and just going
through the Mad Dragons Vodcast Player of the Year votes

(04:17):
and the votes from this game, well, Jacob Little was
comfortably the man of the match, picking up twenty two
votes from our panel, Tyroll Sloan and David Klammer. The
other two major vote getters Sloan getting nine and Clamor seven,
Lucia and le Lua, Hamish Stewart, Matt Feeni, Corey Allen,

(04:37):
Jack de bell and Jaden Sewer and Moses Sully all
picking up votes in that game against the cows, and well,
this is what it looked like after twenty rounds. This
is the top five with Clint Gatherson on top. The
only two blokes to get votes that were in the

(04:58):
top five after twenty rounds was Ja and Sewer and
Jack Devellon, both picking up a couple of votes each.
That sees Jack Debellum move above Toby Couchman to one
hundred and one votes. The other change to the top
five is Valentine Holmes drops out a fifth spot and
the men of the match from the round twenty one game,
Jacob Little moves into fifth spot with eighty eight votes.

(05:23):
Paul Wiseman, go the dragons absolutely. Let's hope they can
continue moving out up the ladder. We'll start moving up
the ladder in twenty twenty six. And you know, as
I said in the intro certainly looking forward to twenty
twenty seven and looking forward to the official announcement of
kon Kla Matanguei for twenty twenty seven. Even my Para

(05:48):
supporting mates loved to come on the Dragons. He good
to hear, Scotty. I don't know about taving para supporting
mates though, mate, you need a better class a friend.
This is how the Mad Dragons Podcast Player of the
Year votes look after twenty one rounds take it a

(06:08):
little into the top five. So now on to round
twenty two and this was one of our best wins
of the year. It capped off. It makes you shake
your head a bit, I think when you look at
what the Dragons did in season twenty twenty five. We
beat the minor premiers, the canber Raiders in this game

(06:30):
eighteen points to twelve. We beat the Brisbane Broncos, we
beat the Melbourne spot Storm. So we did the teams
in the Grand Final and the minor premiers throughout the
season and still finished down near the down, near the
bottom of the ladder. It really does make you scratch
your head. This one was a really tough, greedy performance.

(06:51):
Well unlucky not to beat the Raiders in camera had
a really really solid performance was actually two tries each
and we took quite a few penalty goals. Whenever there
were points on offer, we knocked over the two. So
Flannagan kicking five from five to get his home eighteen
points to twelve in that game, and Flannagan definitely got

(07:14):
some votes. It was very very close in terms of
the panel's thoughts on this contest, but that was Jack
de Bellum that was ultimately voted as the man of
the match in this game with thirteen votes. Cole Flanagan
and Likan King Tooggia. The other guys to get quite
a few votes eleven and ten respectively Mosa Sully, David Klemmer,

(07:36):
Cory Allen, Damien Cook, Maddie Feni and Lucianalo Laura along
with Hamish Stewart and also Michael Molo picking up votes
in this game against the Raiders. So again the top five,
Jack de Bellum moved past Jaden Sewer into second spot

(07:57):
with that man of the match performance. It was the
only guy in the top five that picked up votes,
so that's the only change to the order and with
a few rounds to go, it does see Jack Debillon
moved within just three votes the Clint Gutherson, who is
still leading after twenty two rounds. One hundred and seventeen

(08:19):
votes for guth one hundred and fourteen for Debellum, one
hundred and six for Sue and Toby cause when we
know he's not getting anymore, he's got the cool Century
and Jacob Little with eighty eight votes make up the
top five. So moving now into round twenty three, and
we broke a hoodoo beating the Sharks twenty two to fourteen.

(08:40):
This was one that was pretty special. It kept our
seasons alive, although it was certainly right on tenter hooks.
But to get a win over the Sharks. They've had
the Wood Islands for quite some time. We'd barely won
a game against them in about one hundred years. It
seems Little Brother was getting the big chirpy. So it

(09:02):
was great to get the win over the Sharks, a
rare victory. And I think the scoreline actually flatters the
Sharks in this one that the Dragons dominated this contest.
We scored four tries. I'm pretty sure we scored five
tries to three in this one. There's only four try scorers.
Little listed there. I think I must have missed one,

(09:23):
but Flanagan kicking three from six kind of kept the
Sharks in the contest. The player of the match in
this game, though was Clint Gafferson eighteen votes got the
top gone from the panel again fairly well spread the
votes across quite a few different players, like in King
Toggia getting ten votes and Jack de Bellum with nine.

(09:46):
Hayden Buchanan had a good game coming into the top
side with seven votes. Tyroll Sloan, David Klemmor, Hamish Stewart,
Moses Souley and Damian Cook all the other vote get
in this game, so Gutho with Man of the Match
Jack Debellon getting nine votes as well. So the top

(10:06):
two the only ones to get votes in this game,
and it puts a bit of space between them and
the chasing group. I suppose that Gutho now twelve votes
clear of Jack Debellon in top spot. Debellon one hundred
and twenty three votes is a fear way clear now
of Jaden sewer On one hundred and six, Toby Koutchman

(10:28):
with one hundred votes and a little eighty eight. So
now to round twenty four and well. As I said,
we needed to win all our remaining games and this
was the final nail in our coffin and it was
a performance that the Dragons fans could really be proud of.
Against the Warriors, we gave it absolutely everything we had.

(10:49):
This was another game it seems like a common theme
where players just dropped left, right and center. It was
a tough in count up against the Warriors and in
the end we just ran out of puff. We didn't
quite have enough and the Warriors winning this one fourteen
points to ten, Mady Phenie with a double and Coyle

(11:11):
Flanagan kicking one from two. David Klemer was a man
They've got Men of the match in this game against
the Warriors. The forwards that didn't go down, they didn't
go hurt, didn't get hurt, they worked incredibly hard and
I think this was the only Man in the Match
award for the season for David Klamer. I think he

(11:32):
got better and better as the year went on, and
really a lot of Dragons fans liked what he did
towards the back end of the year and disappointed to
see him head off to the Saints for twenty twenty six.
I thought he'd done enough to perhaps get a one
year extension and stay with the club for another year.
Given the lack of experience in our forward pack, I
thought Klama might have been a good one to keep around,

(11:55):
But the last year has moved on and is no
longer with the Dragons match. In this game against the Warriors,
Damien Cook with fifty tackles double the Mattie Feenie. They
both picked up ten votes each. Luciano Lua Christian to
a plot to Kyle Flanagan, Liken King, Toggia, Jacob Hallingar, who,
Jacob Little, Hayden Buchanan and someone else there that I

(12:17):
can't see getting votes in this one against the Wires.
From here, you know the Dragons. This season was over
and they played like it these last last three games.
I don't want to spend too much time dissecting the
actual games themselves, because they were tragically bad and it

(12:40):
makes it very difficult I supposed to hand out votes
when you're not playing all that well. So moving on
to around twenty five, I actually go through the vote
getters of good Jacob Little the only one ever top
five from that Warrior's game to get votes. He picked
up the single vote. Yeah, he's the only one in

(13:01):
the top five to get a vote, So he goes
from maybe eight to eighty nine, and that's the only
thing that changes at the pointy end of the leaderboard
with three games to play, around twenty five, as I say,
that's not a scoreline I want to look out for
too long. The Bunnies forty points to nil over the Dragons,
perhaps the most embarrassing performance.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Of the year.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
But what I do want to focus on from this
game is the man of the match. Normally, in a
performance like that, you look into your experienced players to
try and step up. When you see young players play well,
it's usually when they're running downhill, when things are going well,
when everything's going according to plan and they're having an
easy time of it. So to see Jacob Hellingar, who

(13:45):
was pretty much the only Dragons player that deserved any
recognition from that game against the Bunnies, I think he's
a testament to his character and he's the attributes that
he is going to bring to this club over a
long period of time. A hell of a player with
a big, big future at the club. With twenty votes,
he was the clear man of the match in that bad,

(14:09):
bad loss to the Bunnies. Damon Cook I think again,
another fifty yard tackle performance and Jacob Little with the
other ones. To get votes, you have to give votes
to someone. I don't know that any of these players
play particularly well in that forty mier loss, but two
or a or two Loco Tonga, Hayden Buchanan and like
Hunting Toggia the other players to get some votes from

(14:32):
panel members in that round twenty five performance, and from
the top five, that again is Jacob Little the only
player getting votes. He gets ten votes. He doesn't move
up the leader board, but he moves to ninety nine votes,
just one behind Toby Couchman, who you know is not
getting any more. So, yeah, it's real, really congested for

(14:53):
the minor polacings. I suppose on the leader board with
Jayden Sewer on one hundred and six, Toby Couchman one
hundred votes, ninety nine votes for Jacob Little. So you know,
certainly the order here could change quite dramatically, a bit
of a bit of a gap from Sewering third on

(15:13):
one hundred and six votes and Jack Debellon on one
hundred and twenty three, and then Gathason another twelve votes clear,
but we'll add in that. Scoop scoops joinders, how are
you going? Mate? Well, what are you thinking of the leaderboard?
So it's after twenty five rounds, the two rounds still
to play. Gatherson out in front on one hundred and

(15:35):
thirty five votes. He's twelve votes clear of Devellin. So
from those last two games, do you think there's any
change to this leaderboard?

Speaker 6 (15:44):
Then might be, But I'm not getting my hopes up
too f right, I think depending on how it goes
in last year rounds.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Who knows, Well, I've just gone through arounds twenty one
to three, four and five. You know, the win over
the Raiders and win over the Sharks, a couple of
a couple of very good wins there for the club.
But what are your your memories of those wins?

Speaker 6 (16:13):
I was pretty much on the edge of my seat
from from us those games, because I know we've had
pretty much businal season with a lot of plays through
injuries and suspensions, and some really close losses and some
really far out losses against one like one table leading teams.

(16:36):
Pretty much.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, well, it's it's funny that we we seem to
beat a lot of the top teams. We beat the Broncos,
we we beat the Storm, we beat the minor premiers,
the Raiders, we beat the Sharks or a top eight
side as well. In this this this sort of run
home and then you know, you see a forty year
loss to the see how Sydney Rabbitos who didn't go
that well. Another disappointing loss in that lot was the

(17:01):
game against the Cowboys, who didn't have a great season either.
So you know, beating those top teams and struggling against
the teams down near the bottom of the ladder, is
that something you're hoping that we can can maybe maybe
address a little bit in in twenty twenty six, look
to become a little bit more consistent.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
I'm hoping. So it goes right on the team site.
I'm really hoping that we do flog in the first
round because I'm going to be there watching that hopefullet
against them against the canon Bury Bankstown boul Duds.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Yeah, well, nobody's more excited about the start of the
twenty twenty sixth season. The new mate. On your way
to Vegas, what are you? What are you going to
get up? Yeah? When you when you get to Las Vegas, mate,
the city of sin you're going to commit, mate.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Well, when I get over there, maybe just sleep off
the jet lag.

Speaker 7 (18:01):
And then maybe.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
A good plan no for one.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
Undred days of the chet leg, so right there. So
I booked my flight going there, which is I'm living
on the twenty fifth from here writing on twenty fifth
over there, losing that whole day's sleep to adjust my
body to the American timestone. And then under the twenty

(18:30):
twenty six, maybe do some maybe go to a gun
range or something to shoot guns over there, and then
twenty seven th fan Day and the twenty eight pretty
much go attend all three of the games over there
and I'll see what. But also I've got played for

(18:51):
the fine a few days. I'm over there for the week.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Right.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
All sounds like you've got it all playing down like, Uh,
doesn't sound like you're going to do to Vegas the
same way as I do it, But you do you mate. Well,
we'll get into these last couple of games again. Don't
want to spend too much time dissecting these games, because
we were positively awful. Another loss round twenty six going

(19:19):
down to the Manly see alls forty points to twenty four,
King Toggya, Gula two a p A Lot two and
Little the tri scorers with Flanagan kicking four from four.
At least we were able to get on the scoreboard
in this game. Is probably the nicest thing I could say.
Christian two up alot two man in a match in
this game, but only just clearly clear of Jack Debellen

(19:39):
picking up fifteen votes, tour p A Lot two with sixteen,
Jacob Little also picking up votes with nine votes, and
Jaden Sewer was back in the side with seven votes,
Cook with five and then lock on King Toggya, Hayden
Buchanan and Jacob Allan Gahu picking up votes. Christian two
ap a lootsuo there at the top skirt when he played,

(20:02):
he was was pretty influential for us. I guess looking
forward to twenty twenty six, are you hoping that he
can can stay on the field more consistently and get
his hamstring sworded. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (20:17):
I don't know yet, Donny, but but man and given
a few other the Herald reports, but he might not
even make the team next year. Of these two young
guns that we've bought from from other teams in.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
I love that because because the guy has never played
a game of rugby of NRL, he's not young. Set
To Too is twenty seven years of age. He's not
a young gun. So can we can we not refer
to him as like David farlaih Shaw He is a
young up and coming player from Penrith. But Setu Too
has been around the reserve grade system and has never
been good enough at first grade. He's twenty seven years

(20:54):
of age. He's not not a young player at all,
but he's just never played. He doesn't have any experiences
and a decent reserve great I'm incredibly surprised to hear
Shane Flanagan saying he's a chance of playing ahead of
Christian Too a Lot Too. I think that's absolute horseshit.
It's just not going to happen. Too a Lot two
is fit. He will be the first winger pick you

(21:17):
Fallet and two might be training well, but you know
that's very, very different to playing and Christian tool a
Lot two. I think he showed every time he played
he was one of our best players. He regularly ran
up over over two hundred meters, He busted tackles, he
scored tries. He was hard to handle. He laid our
platform for me.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
I don't care what reports you're hearing in on other podcasts.
If Christian two a Lot two is fit, he needs
to be in the in on the pick and sween
and doing doing what he does.

Speaker 6 (21:55):
M hmm. But I would just have to wait and
see what happens after the trials are done.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Well, that's the other thing is you know, it's all
well and good to be good when you're training with
no real opposition, but once you get out there in
the middle, that's when when you really get tested, put
under a lot of pressure and see how they go.
But but one thing I would definitely say about Set
too is he's good under the eyeball. And that's that's

(22:23):
something that I think him and David Farley both bring
is a lot of height and a real target out
on the wings if either of them do get an
opportunity in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
Well, the other thing about David Farlow, he's like a
younger Brian without the head gear.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
Yeah, I don't know about that comparison. Farlow's sort of
tall and lanky and Brian toto is built low to
the ground and there's an absolute tank. I'm not sure
whether Farley fits that description, but we'll certainly get to
see a lot more of it. Might have seen a
lot of Fight Violet, but from what I have seen,

(23:04):
he seems very tall and agile and a completely different
player to Brian Topo. But you've been on the money
with a few other things, scoops, so maybe you've seen
a bit more of him than I had that if
from those vote getters off the top five, quite a
few picking up votes, Clint Gothison not picking up any votes.

(23:25):
Jack Debellum with fifteen votes moves himself, so a fair
few changes to the leader board. Jayden Sewer with seven
votes as well, and Jacob Little with nine votes moves
above Toby Couchman, So Little moves above Couchman into fourth spot.
But the big news, scoop is that Jack Debellum, with

(23:47):
one game to go, is three votes clear of Clint
Gthson as our player of the Year. You know, what
are your thoughts on that?

Speaker 6 (24:00):
I think the last game of the year it's going
to go down to the while. I don't know, but
I think I've got chuck to burne edging out Klutkofston
by few points, but can't wait to see what Evanson
the last round of the year.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Amazing mate.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
The one game ago you didn't think anything was going
to change, and now all of a sudden you still
don't think anything is going to change, but now because
it already has changed. But yet you're right, it's certainly
going to go down to the wire. I think this
is the closest Mad Dragons Podcast Player of the Year
that we have We've ever had. We've done it, done

(24:38):
it a few few years now, and and Benny Hunt
had a bit of a stranglehold on it. I think
he won it three years in a row, and then
Zach Lomac's winning last year. So you know, with Jack
de Bellon wins it, it's going to create create a
bit of a tradition that no player that's currently at
the club has ever won a Mad Dragon's Vodcast Player
of the Year award. Yeah, it's certainly to know auspicious.

(25:06):
That's another big loss to finish off the season to
the Panthers, going down forty points to twenty. Flanagan our
Alan Sloan and Sewer, the Triscorers and Flanagan kicking two
from four. Right, Let's drag this out a little bit,
so this is what it looks like after twenty six rounds.

(25:26):
Let's go through sort of some of the minor vote
getters in this one. Harme Selee became the twenty ninth
player to receive votes in season twenty twenty five. Got
his first and only votes in this final game. Corey

(25:49):
Allen finished just above him. He got votes in this
game as well. He finished in twenty sixth spot overall.
The biggest mover from this final round was Locko Tonga
Locko Tonga. He moved past the only finow, Jacob Allngar
who Lucia and Ale Lua and Moses Souley to move

(26:12):
up into fifteenth overall on the leaderboard. Another guy that
picked up votes in round twenty seven was Kyle Flanagan.
He got four votes in this game and that moved
him level with Hamish Stewart. And I think that's an
interesting one, scoop. How many people do you think if

(26:32):
you told told them that Carle Flanagan and Hami Stewart
were just as good as each other, equally as good?
How many do you think would laugh in your face? Oh?

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Pretty much or Dragon sup supported base. I reckon because
a lot of us don't like Carl Flanagan.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Well, a lot of us do like Ami Stewart. I
think rather than focusing on the negative, focus on the positive.
I think a lot of people were fairly and amated
with the performances of Hamish Stewart during season twenty twenty five,
and to see him finishing absolutely level with Kyle Flanagan
as the thirteenth and fourteenth best players four season twenty

(27:15):
twenty five, I think would surprise a few people, but
that is the way that the panel has seen it.
All right, Well, let's get into the top five. Toby Kuchman,
of course didn't play in round twenty seven. He was
injured towards the back end of the year. Yeah. Well,
there was certainly up near the top before his injury.

(27:38):
I think he was one vote behind Gatherson in second place,
so you know, if he had a stage fit, he
would have been a very good chance of putting the
Mad Dragons Vodcast Player of the Year. Do you think
people underestimate how good Toby Couchman season was last year?

Speaker 6 (27:57):
Having a line of people did yeah, was like five
by far one of our best players in the squad
coming from a forward from the forward unpack.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Absolutely, we're moving up this leaderboard. Jacob Little. He needs
a perfect round to draw level with Jack Debelluon because
ten panel members vote on the Mad Dragons Podcast Player
of the Year. If everybody gives him three, there will
be thirty votes and would move him level with Debellon

(28:31):
at the top. In the round twenty seven performance against
the Panthers, Jacob Little received zero votes and he stays
in fourth place with one hundred and eight. Jacob Little
their scoop. He might might ask Big Team, I'm gonna

(28:54):
I'm going to hop off Merry Christmas, big big t show, all.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Right, say lamb.

Speaker 8 (29:03):
Ry Christmas to Wall, Happy New Year, everybody. Absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Yeah, so, Jacob Little, we're just chatting about him. He
didn't get any votes in around twenty seven, so he
does finish fourth in the voting for the Mad Dragons
Vodcast Player of the Year. Came off the bench pretty
much the entirety of the season, and you know, it's
a remarkable achievement to be the fourth best player for
your team when you're you know, you're basically playing twenty

(29:32):
five to thirty minutes per game.

Speaker 8 (29:34):
Yeah, right, Do you think he was underutilized picking up
one hundred and eight votes? Imagine if you played sixty
minutes a game, pick up more votes. He's our best
player quite far.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Do you think he was underutilized in twenty five?

Speaker 8 (29:51):
Sailized some games he was getting twenty minutes, But yeah,
he's got to play sixty seventy minutes a game.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
And yeah, like I said, he could have picked up
by a lot more votes.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
Yeah, absolutely. I guess in twenty twenty six, a lot
of people are suggesting that Jacob Little will move into
a to a starting role and Damian Cook will go
back to the bench. Is that's something you're expecting to
happen in twenty six?

Speaker 8 (30:21):
You can't expect anything with it, could do anything. Yeah,
I'd like to see him. I'd like to see him
move to like move into a more Cam mcginner's role
and play and play that sort of game. They can
both play sixty odd minutes. We've got Kyle flanagan there
can throw him in the fourteen. Yes, So that's that's

(30:45):
the way I go. I reckon, there's certainly a few options.
I don't know that I mean We use Damien Cook
at Locke this year quite a lot, and I don't
think it worked. I think it worked in one game
against Brisbane, but.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
We did it pretty much every week for the back
half of the season and the only time it worked
was that one game against the Broncos. Yeah. I don't
think moving you nine to thirteen works all that often.
I think we've got better options at thirteen and Amis
Stewart or Ryan Couchman. Yeah, I don't know. It's certainly

(31:20):
going to be interesting to see how shapes his pack
next year. Roy young players fighting for spots and Josh
Kirr coming back to the club. Yeah, very very very
young side though.

Speaker 8 (31:33):
Twelve players going for six spots. There there's a lot
of good players that are going to miss out. You
got You've got Swa and Lei Lua and then we've
got Amiss Stewart and Dylan Egan and Ryan Coutsman coming through.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
Where do they play?

Speaker 7 (31:51):
So yeah, we're talking about bots. Last year's votes well
around twenty seven and the I'll tell you that that.
I'll let you in on a hint.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
The Man of the Match for round twenty seven was
in the top three and it was Jaden Sewer. Now Sewer,
he needs what's that twenty twenty two, twenty five, twenty five,
twenty six votes to move into top spot. He needs

(32:27):
twenty six votes to move into top spot as the
man of the match. Jaden Sewer, the scoot comes back on.
He must have gone to the toilet. He's done his
shit and now he's back.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
That was quick, mane narcis just talking to me about
coming back from the US.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Oh good mate.

Speaker 7 (32:49):
Well.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Jaden Sewer Man of the Match in round twenty seven
got twenty three votes, so not cool enough to can
Jack Villain at the top, but it will move in
past Clinton Gatherson into second spot. Jayden Sewer finished second

(33:12):
in the Mad Dragons podcast last year as well. You
could he hold on and take second again? Do you
think that, Lamb. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (33:23):
He was one of our best players benefit guff, but
I think Jack Debllen in his last last game for
the club.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Maybe, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
I don't think he's going to go that well power
next year, but I think he was by far the
best player for us when he first debuted and till now,
which is unfortunately would let him go. I think he
was by far the best player of the year for US.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Yeah, well, Mohammad did is surprised by the leader board
year at the moment, we're still still going through it
at the moment, it's not not finalized just yet. But
Jaden Sewer again, he had had a couple of injuries
through the year. There was some great performances. He was
Man of the Match for the second year in a

(34:16):
row in that that the Anzact Day game, so that's
a game that he always tends to really step up for.
He had had a great year again when he was
on the park, I think he was one of our
best forwards. But the other the other two boats, I
can tell you. One of the guys picked up six votes.

(34:37):
Liam is Jack Debellum with six votes, so moves him
to one hundred and forty four votes. Big Tas disappeared
and came back.

Speaker 5 (34:49):
We've got that many people down here on vacation. My
band with is minimal.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Yeah, well, no one comes to fellon Brook for a holiday, mate,
so there's no one's using mine but de Bellum with
one hundred and forty four votes. Clint gathereson he will
need ten votes in this last round game against the
Panthers to take top spot. I can tell you Clint
Gatherson had two try assists in that game against the Panthers.

(35:22):
We only scored three three tries. Four tries. He assisted
for two of them, a couple of linebreak assists. Had
a very very good performance. Was it enough for Gotho
to be the Mad Dragons Vodcast Player of the Year.
I can tell you that Billy gave Gotho two votes

(35:45):
and nobody else gave him votes. So Clint Gtherson finishes
second overall, one ahead of Jaden Sewer, and the Mad
Dragons Vodcast Player of the Year for twenty twenty five
is Jack One. I don't know that too many people
would have expected that big team.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 8 (36:06):
I think he might have got a few sympathy vates
towards the end of the season, after you saw Paramount,
a few of our from a few of our judges. Yeah,
congratulations to him, like he's leaving, but he's left, But congratulations.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
To the man.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
Well, I can tell you of the people that are
are on here right now, Scoop, let's let's sort your
column and let's see who you have got. Who do
you think you had as the Mad Dragons podcast Player
of the Year because it is freaking wild.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
Oh, I don't know, I can.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
I can tell you that the person you had as
the best player for the Dragons in twenty twenty four,
thank you had him nine votes clear of anybody else,
nine votes clear of anybody else you think you have
Jaden Sewer. I can tell you all seasons you gave
Sewer four votes, so it wasn't jameans Sewer, Jadan Sewer

(37:08):
you had in thirteen.

Speaker 8 (37:10):
If I scoop that, Donny, if I now scoop it'll
probably be taken very.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
On with twenty two votes, far more than anybody else.
Gave this player. The best player for the Dragons in
twenty twenty five, according to Scoop, was Likan King Toggy.

Speaker 5 (37:34):
He loved him, didn't he?

Speaker 4 (37:37):
He clearly did twenty two votes. You had thirteen votes
for Little Sloan and Dylan Egan, so they got in
fifth spot. You had de Bellon and Hamish Stewart. So
like in Kingtoggy five big team, yes see, Big t

(38:00):
you also had somebody as your top vote getter that
didn't make the top five.

Speaker 8 (38:10):
I'm going to say I'm going to say, David Klammer,
you had Damian Cook Cook, twenty two votes for Cook,
he was solid all year.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Twenty two votes for Cook, twenty for Sewer, and then
you had Couchman, Klama and Valhones.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
Fair enough.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
I had nineteen votes for Jaden Sewer and just ahead
of Garthson and then it was Debellon, Little and Couchman
for me.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (38:51):
Did then the office out of the Mad Dragon's panel
have Debellon as the top vote vote together?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Yea, So the most votes for Debellon came from has Man.
Has Man had twenty seven votes for Jack Debellon and
Jaden Sewer, Klemer, Toby Couchman and Jacob Little in his
top five.

Speaker 9 (39:13):
Judge has Maza also had Debellon on top, one clear
of Sewer and then a bit of a gap back
to Gathas and Couchman and Holmes.

Speaker 8 (39:25):
Did it must have get the tri effector well then.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
Yeah he had he had he had the box triffector. Yes,
Bennie O'Brien had Debellon on top, just ahead of a Little, Sewer,
Egan and Hamish Stewart. I can tell you that the
the panel member that like Jack DeBell in the least
was Coco only three votes all season for debellin.

Speaker 5 (39:54):
Wow, wow, I thought he played better than that.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
I thought he'd too. She had Tyrol Sloane on top
of the pops.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
He's got a definitely does every week, even if he
didn't blay.

Speaker 4 (40:11):
Yeah. So she had Slowan ahead of the little Guthson
and Tour plot, and well, I guess the beloved leader
of the show, Jesse had. He was the guy that
had the most votes for Clint Gatherson twenty three votes
for Gotho, was nine clear of Tour Pilot two and Clemmor,

(40:32):
with Homes and Couchmen rounding out his top five. So go,
mother is watching, look, look watching along.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
Right, he can get this way right, but he can't
get mother's multi right.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
Come on, Yeah, well there we are one.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Yeah. So I don't know the end of the twenty
twenty five season and wasn't wasn't a great one overall.
What's a big team?

Speaker 8 (41:11):
When you look at the where we finished on the
later I don't think it was a great one. But
when you look at results in the game four and against,
that was all in the positive. So I'm positive from
what it has been so I think we're moving forward.
That one I mentioned the new the new signing until

(41:32):
he actually signs, but that's twenty twenty six seven anyway.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
But yeah, I think we're gonna have a fine season.
We'll finish bottom of the top eight.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
I think, well, it's uh crack open another raised glass
to the twenty twenty five season. The Mad Dragons Vodcast
Player of the Year, Jack Devellen Queues follows far Up Up,

(42:07):
Don't go Les Hair Tails Hout. She wears it on
her stea.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
That's my tall tails out there and Winds and Junior
to me, Tony.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Andy and people will deliver very pass if knocked up
again all the breast with a red V on objects.
