want to be not trying to getRyan Carter like an Instagram post where we
criticize the clowns in our team whoare pretending to be first graders, And
we certainly won't be not donating ourused beefeaeder barbecues as a farewell gift to
our departing halfback Jesse. How niceis it to see other clubs in the

(00:57):
headlines for dumb our stuff jet AHospor change, Well, it's good.
Takes away the pressure from us,And yeah, we've we've had enough off
season drama and seasons through drama, through anything you can name. And it's
been a long season for us,and only two more weeks to go,
and hopefully we'll be out of theheadlines by the absolutely mate al Right,

has Man so fullback is Tyrol Saine, Matt Fine and Mikallie Ravel are on
the wings, most of Sully inthe Center's say he'll be joined by Zach
Lamax, who macsue very welcome returntell it to our own and been hunting

looker in the second row Donny's boyBilly Burns and had absolutely blind to last

Russell and Michael Marley. Locking thisgrunt on the bench. We've got kind
of a licened Ryan Couchman, BenMurdoch, Masilla and Zane Musgrove. And

(02:12):
the referee is Peter Goff. Fantasticall right, well, always good to
have Peter Goff. I think hedidn't tends to help us out. I
don't know if we get us closeto Melbourne and without him refereeing the other
day. But before we do discussthe our team in a little bit more
detail, we have to discuss ouropposition. So it looks let's move in

(02:38):
to behind enemy lines. Come withme as we go behind enemy lines.

(03:22):
Well, Gnade Dragon's paying on BigTea and this is behind enemy lions.

(04:12):
Yeah, it's great to be beckOn again. Thanks for the inviting.
Yeah, it's good to help you, you know, chatting about this
game, which I'm looking forward to. But probably you're not too sure what
you guys are, whether you guysare looking for this game comp completely honest,
I think you guys are just lookingforward to the season being over.
So yeah, sat on again. Thanks for the inviting here for you know,

(04:38):
chatting chatting about the game. We'renot we're not looking forward to at
a go Media stadium as smart asyou called it. We played thirty five
times and Dragons have went twenty fourwars in one eleven. Well, congratulations.
First I've been in the top four, But be honest with me,
did you expect to be to bethere? A look? To be honest,

(05:00):
no, I did not expect usto be in the top four at
the start of the year. Likelike I said earlier this year when I
came on your channel as well anddiscussed the Warriors as a as a fan
opposition fan going to this year,it was just about like rebuilding, you
know. It's just the fact thatbecause the past few years has been a

(05:23):
real, real struggle for the Warriors, and Andrew Webster coming on board,
and there was a lot of unknownswith Andrew Webster coming board as a coach,
and yeah, just being in thetop four at the moment is a
real surprise as a fan and definitelyexceeded my expectations this year because I had
no expectations, to be honest,I just hope that we avoided the bottom

(05:45):
four. And here we are sittingcomfortably in the top eight at the moment,
which is a real change. Yeah, it's been a real change of
events. I was sitting comfortable inthe top four, you should say,
because yeah, I don't think you'dbe knocked down the top four you with
other teams, Jason, you know, these guys are won sixth straight.
That's a good run. Have youstarted your run too early or do you

(06:09):
think did you for lost this weekend? Look, to be honest, the
past couple of weeks we've been scrapingthrough in our performances. They haven't been
really as potent as we've been.Well, it's coming coming off there by
like the Titans, the Tigers,we've had some tough games. They haven't

(06:32):
been easy. You know. Theway we've been playing is I think we've
probably not played as well as wehave before the buy. But I think
also those teams at the Tigers andTitans, you know, definitely, you
know, with nothing to lose,a lot of people expected these games to
be quite easy and they haven't been, you know, the past weeks.

(06:54):
So I think, you know, this game this week a lot of people
expect us a bit of the Dragsquite comfortably being at home there and given
the in the form of the Dragonsin the position where there are on the
ladder. But I think the Dragonswill go. I think they will give
it a red hot crack the sweet. But I do feel that like that
we should really beat the Dragons teamand that's notice to pick to the Dragons.

(07:16):
But yeah, I think it's goingto be an interesting to see how
how the boys played this week, because last week we had a real tough
one and it's mainly at home,so yeah, it'll be it'll be a
real interesting this week to see howwe perform again in front of a sold
out crowd. It's make before aboutAndrew Webster. Yeah, he's he must

(07:42):
have brought something to the team. What's he what's he brought? Why has
he brought the Warriors up into thetop four? Yeah, so Andrew Webster
has brought in a carn demeanor atthe club. A lot of a lot
of the Warriors players, you know, have a huge respect for what Webster
is doing this year and carry inthe past Warriors coaches is you know,

(08:07):
they're not being able to get thebest out of the players. And I
feel like the best coach for thatwas Ivan Cleary when he was back at
the Warriors many years ago coaching US, and I feel like Andrew Webster is
similar to what Ivan Cleary was whenhe coached US back in the years.
So that's probably why you can seewhen the press conferences, especially with the

(08:31):
post game press conference, the wayAndrew Webster talks. He is well spoken,
he's honest, and he doesn't looktoo far ahead, so he always
takes it one game at a time, and that's what you like to see
in a coach. You don't liketo get high when you're winning, and
you don't get to be too lowin your disappointments when you lose as well.
So that's why Andrew Webster has youknow, got in the best out

(08:54):
of this team and the players areresponding on the field this year was to
consist and see they're bringing yeah, yeah, no, no, He's the
best out of the two two coachesthat left penriv Dlan matene Is Elesniek,
Tris Gordon Free Sean Johnson, thecrowd, the crowd grownd Prince of our
Mount Smart and an engine room ofAddam for nol Blake and Monthy A Fower.

(09:20):
Do the Warriors have any weaknesses?Mate? Where do the Dragons attack
the Warriors on the weekend? Well, I will say this, a lot
of teams over the past couple ofweeks especially have targeted the Warriors left side.
The left side of the Warriors, especially defensively, has been caught out
a couple of times, especially thebottom place teams like the Tigers, and

(09:41):
then you've also had the Titans aswell who have exposed the Warriors mainly didn't
on the week on the weekend aswell last week Friday, last Friday night.
So yeah, the left side defensivelya wing as they've seen this Tinti
a caught out quite a bit onthe side. So feel like the Dragons
with the likes of your players thatyou've got, you got see lomax Z

(10:07):
there, and you've also got arabel our plan. Yeah yeah, Ral
he seems always have a he seemsto have a good game. It's the
Warriors. I think that in thepast as well, so you know he's
a big winger in town. Yeah, So I think I feel like the
left side, especially if you guyscould catch the Warriors out there on that

(10:28):
side. But I'm hoping he's aWarriors fan. We can fix it over
the next couple of weeks because comefinals time when the better teams like Penriff
and Brisbane, which it looks likelythat we'll play Brisbane a week one of
the finals if we're finishing third onthe ladder, So yeah, that'd be
a very interesting and tough match Ithink personally. But yeah, it's definitely

(10:50):
in that left side. I reallydo feel like it's a weakness and the
Warriors and that left side defense atthe moment, which the team will look
to improve over the coming week.Cool. Cool, I'll let Brian can't
know. Well, I think everybodywho isn't a whose teams out out in

(11:13):
the finals, we're gonna A'm gonnabe Warriors for I think all the Australians
and teams aren't there your teams inthe semis do you think they can beat
Brisbane? Uh? Look, Ifeel like we've got a team to challenge
Brisbane. It's AT's on Corporate Weekone, so if it is there,

(11:35):
Look, I'll definitely I'll actually beattending. I'll be going. Yeah,
I live on a Gold Coast, but I'll definitely take a trip up to
Brisbane to watch the boys play.So you have to do now, Yeah,
definitely, of course it's a fan, you know you've got to go.
It's a finals game and it's abig one, so of course i'd
be there and cheering on the boys. And look, I think, look,

(11:58):
Brisbane are playing great, been they'vebeen well up there this year and
the second on the ladder at themoment, and that they're not going to
drop that from that position. They'lldefinitely finish there. And you know they've
got the team, the lights ofWalsh and End, you know Reynolds,
they've got a great team. ButI do feel like we can intelligent.
But yeah, this team on theon our day can beat Brisbane definitely for

(12:26):
sure. I think I think we'vegot the team to do it. But
it'll it'll it'll depend. I willbe confident, but I'm also worry as
well because you know it's always toughto go out to Brisbane and put the
Bronx in week one. But regardless, you know, if we lose week
one, week week week two,we've got a home final, so we
got home exactly right. But you'veyou've got to get out Rastus, so

(12:50):
worried worried about us? Is anyoneelse? Question for Christian? Yes,
Christian, Hey go on, yep. So question is regarding so obviously there's
actually been talked that Shawn Johnson isa shoeing to win the Delhi. Yeah,
well, who would have thought that. I don't think he's ever won

(13:11):
a Dahim. He's remember whining hewon a Golden boot yeah, back a
while ago. But wouldn't it bea huge if he won the day?
And it looks like you're going toget at least one home final in New
Zealand, there's been a lot oftalk that could be an Eden Park to
get a bigger crowd. What areyour thoughts on Johnson and possibly playing a

(13:31):
final league park? Okay, soI'm sure Johnson. Yeah, Look,
I feel like he is the bestplayer in the comp this year and I
think obviously there's there's a lot ofcontenders out there at the moment in the
inner round tuns of who's going towin that Duali him middle of the season,
But if you look at how Johnsonhas been going, the consistency's showing

(13:52):
people. For me, is theheart pick of the year as well.
He'll win that, and yeah,I do feel like he'll win the day
in the season. So yeah,he's been excellent for you know, he's
he's playing his best foot he hasever played throughout his whole career. It's
been a while since we seeing ShawnJohnson play like this, and you know,
there was a lot of doubts aswell, and especially when he was

(14:13):
back at Cranella, he had someinjuries as well, and yeah, last
year wasn't his best year. Butsince being back home it sort of helped
him in a way because he sayshis family and you know, he's playing
with more confidence. So yeah, like I feel like Shaan Johnson will win
the Dahim this year. As withthe other question in regards to Eden Park
being a home final. For ahome final, I feel like, and

(14:35):
this is from my point of view, I feel that Mount Smart is the
best thing you to have the finals. Although I know it's only thirty thousand
in terms of capacity in crowd, but I just feel like the Warriors always
play well in front of the MountSmart faithful, they always play well in
front of their home fans. It'sthe atmosphere is electric, it's crazy easy.

(15:00):
I've been about Smart many times whenI was over there when I was
living in New Zelem. You know, a lot of the fans in the
Warrior public the main always say thatMount Smart Stadium is the best venue to
watch the boys play. So althoughEden Park's great, it's got a good
stadium, it's you know, it'smore more capacity crowd, But I just
feel like the Warriors at home atMount Smart is where we play at the

(15:22):
footie. So yeah, that's that'swhat I think on the decision, and
I feel like the NRL probably willtake it the Eden Park because you know,
it's all about the revenue and thecrowd and yeah, the money comes
in, so that's probably the reasonwhy they would take it there. And
it does the gate seals and allthat sort of stuff. So here,
I know Penrith also last year theyplayed at a Core stadium, so yeah,

(15:46):
it probably is more likely they'll getgo and play at Eaton Park,
but I'm hoping fingers crossed that theyplay at Mount Smart Stadium. Yea,
I might just throw a bit ofquestion at you. We tend not to
attack the guest on on our showtoo often, but some of our our
viewers might not have the same thoughtswe've got Darren Eedgell's in the chat.

(16:07):
He says, you're wasting your timeand money going to some corps. Enjoy
this year. You'll be back tomissing finals next year. Trust me,
just pure flood this year, ridinga little way, nothing more. How
do you respond to that? Well, whoever, he supports the Warriors sting
in the finals at the moment,So we're sitting in the top four.

(16:30):
So yeah, look look on that. Look, I feel like if the
Warriors make make making the finals thisyear is already Passmack in the South.
So look, even if we didbomb out week two, I don't feel
like we're chokers. So how dopeople cause chokers if you bomb out?
But I feel like this year, there's this team, had no expectations,

(16:51):
a lot of people had us.There's a bottom four as well and Wooden
Spooner's contenders. So with the teamthat we had, I just felt,
well, well I felt like wewould make the gate this year. I
just didn't feel like it would bein this position we were at the moment.
So I'm just, you know, pretty much faithful that we're in this
position within the finals at the moment. So look anything from here, I'm
just going to say it's a botus. So yeah, that's just my response

(17:14):
to that. I will say thatI was probably one of them that thought
that it might take this team alittle while to get some some cohesion.
You actually you lost it. Lostquite a few players that from playing in
Australia and when you're we're going backto New Zealand, and you had quite
a few that said now I don'twant to I don't want to go back
there. So I thought it wouldtake a season to actually get the team

(17:38):
together. So I thought they weregoing to struggle this year. That they've
been a remarkable story. Yeah,I think, yeah, they've done incredibly
well and hopefully they can continue itfor you. Just yeah, just not
this weekend. One other thing thatI that I would would add is looking

(17:59):
at the Warrior's team, it lookslike you guys have basically been able to
put the same team on the parkfor a long time, multiple weeks.
You haven't had too many injuries. You haven't had you don't say any missing
too many players. But I guessif you were to lose one player,
what's the one player that you couldlose you think would would really put a

(18:23):
dent in your chances of going allthe way. Look, I mean it's
all about having the full sign onthe paddock at the moment on the field
because you know, if you lookat the lots of the Panthers as an
example in the Broncos, they're they'retwo teams that have not had a lot
of injuries as well. So comefinals time, you want to have everyone

(18:45):
on the field because it's the main, main thing. And I feel like
if we lost the player I know, no Edgy Webster has been big on
this this year is regardless of who'sout. You know, it's always next
me in, out and tell atthis club. So look, I'll say
that if you lose something like aSean Johnson, it's a big blow in

(19:07):
itself. But yeah, you've alsogot to look at it as you know,
the next person comes in, he'sgot to do the job. So
even though he's a big loss,Yeah, you've got to have that next
men men play out mentality. Solook, I don't feel like, you
know, one player out is goingto just cost us the whole whole finals.

(19:30):
If one player goes out and it'sit's a key part of the sign
I just feel very much positive inthe team and the way it's going there.
I feel like any player that comesin, we'll do the job.
So that's how that's how I feel. All right, Jesse, you had
your end up. Wanted to aska question, man, Yeah, it's
not about the Warriors, it's moreabout it's more about the international game.

(19:52):
So at the end of the yearTest foot he's going back to New Zealand.
How big is that to see theother key ways, all the Pacific
nations going back to play. It'sbeen years we've seen Test football at New
Zealand. You what do your take? What's your take on it? Yeah,
so it's it's about time that theinternational fixtures came out because I was

(20:14):
wondering whether they'd ever come out. It's gone the season because it was a
while. But yeah, I feellike, you know, with the key
he's playing, it's great because it'sgood for the rugby league in New Zealand
as a whole, because you know, as as it is the past several
years has not been able to havea lot of rugby league in New Zealand
with you know, not in theCOVID and all that sort of stuff as

(20:36):
well. But yeah, I thinkit's great having the Locks of New Zealand,
some Mower, Australia, Tonga, you know, all those teams involved.
So yeah, look, I'm amassive fan of the international game.
I love international rugby league as welland as well as the NRL, and
I think it's good that the NRLhave announced, you know, the international
fixtures for this year as well atthe back end of the season, which

(20:59):
I'm give forward to. And hereplaying some games in New Zealand is awesome
as well, So that'd be greatwith you know, not only the NRL
and the Warriors bringing a lot thisyear the international game as well, which
hopefully we'll transfer and we'll see somesome good crowds at the Kiwi matches this
year. As man, I'm assumingthere's going to be some love for someone

(21:22):
who Christian. Just going through theother Warriors lineup, I couldn't help but
notice that Jackson Ford's actually been relegatedto the bench for some unknown reason,
potentially robbing us of an epic clashbetween him and who he's kind of my

(21:44):
boy and Billy Burns, who's there'smany people will know he's Donnie's boy.
How much game time do you reckonhe'll see and in what minute do you
expect him to not Billy Burns out? Yeah, so a bit of a
surprise when I saw the teamless today. I didn't expect them to be dropped

(22:11):
to the bench and Josh Horn comesinto the side, which you know is
still a handy plaid a head onthe side. Look, jackson ford has
been playing a lot of footy thisregularly the season for the Warriors, and
you know, he has actually beenwell those finds that many people were not
expected at the start of the season. And I wasn't really too high on

(22:33):
the signing because I thought it wasmore of a deep side at the start
of the year and I've been provenwrong, which I'm happy to be proven
wrong. So yeah, he's beenreally consistent. Jackson fordy has been playing
great footy and yeah, I thinkthe main reason I can think of is
why he's been dropped to the benchis probably because they want to give him
this minutes, Maybe because he's beenplaying a lot of footy lately and I

(22:53):
want to give him a bit ofa risk. It's because he's scared of
Billy Burns. We all know I'mnot too happy with the other signing to
be perfectly honest with it would pradicatehim. He can't kick from all,
I guess. But he's been goingvery very well. In fact, to

(23:14):
recall him scoring against us back inround seventeen. Hopefully note of those again,
but too tell Webster, get himon as soon as you can line
him up with Billy Burns. Crack, that's Daisy Daisy when right there?
Oh yeah for sure, Yeah, yeah, he loves he loves Jackson ford

(23:40):
He was devastated when he left.I thought about quitting rugby leg when I
went up. Yes, yes hewas. He was devastated. Well in
the world where jackson Forde was playingfor someone else. We'll get him back.
We're getting back well, Chris well, Chris your things, cat things

(24:03):
been coming on man, you've beenabsolutely champion again. Hopefully we'll be back
next year and hopefully you've been backnext year. But this is the time
and night were allowed to take awarp there memory lane, okay, in
front of nine thou twenty two fansat win Stadium. It's round twenty six,
twenty thirty, first time they've metthis season and in the last round

(24:25):
Henry Parnarra and Jared Maxwell referees Dagon'scoming into coming off a six max losing
street. The first try came tothe Warriors Elijah Taylor fifteenth minute Warriors four
neil half an hour gone. NathanFain, playing halfback, puts Brett Morris
into the opening open pastures. Morrispasses Charlie Rounsman, who in turn passes

(24:48):
off to Adam Quinlan. Adam Creenlanout of the post Dagon's six four at
the break. Three minutes into thesecond half, Nathan Fain puts up a
pin point prescise bomb to the rightwing win. Nathan Green captures the ball
and he scores a try Dragons tenfour. A couple of failed attempts from
the Warriors, a smashing tackle fromChase Danley put Money Batta buy over the

(25:11):
sideline. It was huge and notout playing playing fullback. A desperate effort
to our stop one of the Warriorsplayers store and try Warriors with the weight
of a frit way of possession. It took his toll money Vatta by over
ten or fifteen to go a tento fifteen minutes followed a field goal from

(25:33):
Josh Drinkwater and a penalty goal fromChase Stanley had the Dragons leagal third and
ten in the dance seconds, Charlieanswering with a step in the shape through
the tide Warriors defense nice over fulltime Dragons nine ten. As I always
say, Johnny, the rest ishistory, mate, Thanks Christian, absolutely,

(25:56):
Christian, just beg. I knowBig Tee likes to just do his
walk down memory line lane and thenjust boat the guest off. But give
give your give you your podcast YouTubechannel, a bit of a plug mate
before you go. Yes, soyou guys can everyone can find me and
Warriors in our Elf next on YouTube. I'm also on Twitter as well,

(26:18):
and I'm on TikTok all those placesas well. So just also on Instagram.
Yeah, go and follow me theresaying don't subscribe to my YouTube channels.
Is Warries in our ff next?Just now type that in In two
weeks you might have a lot ofDragons fans jumping on board, mate,
because as as Big Team said,I think just about everyone's second team or

(26:41):
team in the finals, it's goingto become a Warrior. So you're best
of luck, but you might stillmiss the top four after losing to the
Dragons to see it up on Fridaynight. But you know who knows all
right, Right, well, we'llmove on and we'll get into having a
bit of a chat about about ourteam and Tokyo. It was a bit

(27:04):
of a bit of a later rival. But I'll go to you with the
exact same question that I gave youlast week, Zach Lomax back this weekend.
How much did we miss him lastweek? And do you think we
win that game against Melbourne if hewas in the centers instead of Max Flack

(27:25):
night. That's very good question, good evening everybody. I think so.
And I also think with the kicksas well. I think because he's the
kicker as well, I think wewould have maybe been able to be more
confident with the kicks and everything. So yeah, hopefully he will play this
week. We don't know about thisshoulder injury, so yeah, hopefully he

(27:49):
will play and we can get awin this week. Yeah. Again,
I think he's a he's a keyelement. He's probably been our best player
the last start, last three orfour games that he's played, so I
think he certainly would have made adifference in both attack and defense that you
know, maybe Max Fenelon might nothave and you're talking about the goal kicking,

(28:14):
but Benny had done. He missedone. It was a pretty important
one that he missed. But yeah, I don't know that we could have
hoped for too much better. Butmaybe Zach might have nailed that one from
the sideline, not the clutch momentthat Jesse are. You mentioned in the
chat a few hours ago that I'monly one of our extended benches not playing

(28:36):
news last couple something like that.Well, the whole twenty twenty two men
squad flight in his inland or what'sthe goal with that? Well, so
there's there's only one player on ourextended bench that has been named in New
South Wales Cup, so nobody elseother than see only finale. So the
only finale is the only player that'sactually been named in New South Wales Cup.

(28:57):
All the others on the extended benchnot currently in that New South Wild
Cup squad. Now that could changebefore kickoff. I'm not sure exactly how
many they would take to New Zealand. You'd think nineteen maybe twenty players will
will go, so it will bea couple of players that don't play anywhere
this weekend Obviously you've got to takea bit of cover. You could have

(29:18):
an injury in the warm up,so you take care yep, nineteen players
at least, because you've got tohave that eighteenth man, so you've got
have eighteen fit players on the day. So yeah, I would think they'll
take twenty players. Okay, allright, Well I just realized that I

(29:40):
went to to Coco's question and wemissed the missed a little something in the
agenda. And this is what everyonetunes in for that this is the time
when they get to to interact.Okay, good evening, guys, Welcome

(30:38):
to Jags Trivite for this week.So my tribute question is tonight. So
it's regarding playing in Auckland. Sowe haven't played any in Auckland for a
few years now, so their lastgame there was back in arm twenty eighteen
actually, But my question is tonight, when was our last win in Auckland

(30:59):
against the law and who was thecoach of our team back back then?
A few bonus points too if youcan name the score to our last win
in Auckland our coach and if youcan name the score, that's even better,
fantastic. Well it we'll keep aneye on the comments, Jesse,

(31:21):
I'll get I guess we'll get afew people keeping an eye on the comments
because the next question is actually foryou, Jess. Jaden Sullivan named on
the extended bench for the Dragons.Do you expect him to come into the
into the seventeen if he's if heis good to go, if he's fit,
how do you expect him to comeinto the seventeen or do you think
maybe these days beyond and plays newsouth halfca I think he I'd loved I

(31:47):
think he comes into the seventeen.I think obviously he's already committed to the
un signing with the Tigers for nextyear, but I think he deserves one
or two games in the Red Beebefore he moves on, and I think,
yeah, I think he does saygoodbye to the people and the fans,
and I would love to see himhave a couple more games in their
own before he moves on. He'sbeen a great player to come through our

(32:08):
system and as as we as anumber of people have said many times on
this panel that I'm it's it's ashame to see him go, but I
think he does deserve a farewell hopefullythe club do something for him as well
as a parting gift. But yeah, I do hope he gets a game
or two before he says goodbye tothe club. Yeah, maybe if we

(32:30):
give him a barbecue, surely wegive him a weather and stead of a
beef eater. That's what Benji mightwelcome in with. Ye heyas may maybe
it might be a bit battered afterLuke Brooks just gas to town. I
mean, yeah, might not betoo happy with this. Yeah, yeah,

(32:51):
I suppose there's a lot of peoplesaying that, damn, who do
I go down? There has beenthere's there's a lot of people saying that
Aiden Schrllivan's leaving? What why?Why would we be playing him? The
only thing that I can think ofis that he's Ryan Car's focus is not

(33:15):
on sort of preparing for twenty twentyfour but rather to basically avoid the wooden
spoon. So this, at thispoint of the season where we are on
the ladder, if you want toavoid the spoon, you've got to have
your best, your best team outthere. And you know, even though

(33:37):
he's not particularly loyally's certainly one ofour one of our better halves. So
I can only imagine it's you know, it's sort of you know, to
avoid the avoid the spoon rather thananything else, because there's there's no other
reason that you'd pick him with Billsort of mid table, not going to
make the eight, not going toget the spoon. I can't see him

(33:58):
being there. Yeah, so youdon't you don't think he's he's going to
get a chance. You don't.You don't see him coming into the seventeen
for someone like Kylin Mallison. Ithink there's a chance that he might come
in, but honestly, I don'tthink he should. Yeah. My my

(34:20):
sort of theory is that the reasonwhy Connor played fifty five minutes and God
got to start in in the numbernine last week is because Jaden Sullivan was
coming back, and that there's apretty good chance that might that might have
been kind of last last ever gamein the NRL. He might he might
not play too much NRL again,You wouldn't. You wouldn't think that he

(34:44):
that he's going to be being thesquad next year. Stranger things have happened,
But yeah, that was sort ofmy thoughts to why he got so
many minutes the other day. Yeah, we'll see what happens. If I'm
saying he has a bad hamstring,I'm telling you he's one hundred percent fit.

(35:05):
He will he is, Kate isable to play. So Jaden's Jaden's
told me that himself. He saidthat he was planning on playing this weekend.
He just wasn't sure whether he wasgoing to be playing in South Wales
Cup, whether he was going tobe up the bench, or where exactly
he was going to be playing. So my understanding from the man himself is

(35:27):
that is that he is fit andavailable to selection. It's just a matter
of whether the coaches want to wantto put him in, want to give
him a chance. As has beensaid, I suppose Chloe on that.
I mean a lot of people sayingJaden Sullivan shouldn't play because he's not going
to be in next year. We'vegot half a dozen other players, guys
like Ben Murdoch, Mascilla's saying mustgrove, Max Fini, These these guys

(35:52):
that we've said, see, lad, we're not interested in having you at
our club next year, and they'restill playing. So what why is Jamie
Sullivan different to these blokes? Whyshouldn't Jamie Sullivan be allowed to play.
I don't know, but I lovethe haters. I love how a young
guy who just wants to have alittle chance in nrrel too and everyone knocks

(36:15):
him about. Yeah, who doesn'thave a bad hamstring? If he's fit
and there's two games to go andhe's going to the Tigers, I'll be
having him in my team. Itsucks that he's going, but I hope
next year he goes and sorry Dragonssticks it up here and makes you realize
that he's a good player, justlike I'm gonna say it has been Black

(36:35):
Jackson forward, look at him therego Busters. Yeah, we're gonna have
JS podcast is gonna have no oneon the panel that actually supports any Dragons
players. The way we go,it's going to be a Tiger has meant

(36:59):
as long as Black is the club, I'm a black glorry man, big
big, big teas a Titan.Yeah I'm not black, I know,
I know. I'd like to saytoo the fast a lot to say his
name, you know, like, but now I'm a Dragons throw through.
Black glorries my man as long ashe stays there on mat muzzles a warrior

(37:21):
too as man. Maybe you twocan start your own spin off. He
likes Rock o' berry Mad the MadWarriors podcast. That's it. You've had
a lot of good ideas, Donny, that's not one of them. Yeah,

(37:42):
okay, I've got that all right. I'll stick with you. You
has man. We we've spoken aboutit a little bit already. But now
that the Warriors fanish God Billy Burnsversus Jackson Ford Fords, did he is
scared and he begged to be puton the bench, didn't he bull shit?

(38:06):
Nothing of the sort. In fact, I would say it's the other
way around it. I think BillyBurns is actually called in a favor with
the Andrew Webson and said, look, can you can you keep that Jackson
four blade away from him? I'mscared shits of him by both both formally
from Penworth. There's a loose linkthereing us well, I mean, assuming

(38:31):
that we're going to be wearing thered V will be wearing white shorts,
I reckon with him within five secondsand Jackson Ford getting on there, Billy
Burns and shorts are going to bewhite with a brown streak. Absolutely as
he slides passed him to score atry. Fantastic Billy. He's he's the

(38:58):
man we all love now Jackson whoThat's That's That's what all the Dragons fans
are saying. Big take ty RollSloan named at fullback, but again this
week has come in for a lotof criticism, particularly about his defense.
Do you think do you think TyrolSloane is still the long term option for

(39:22):
the Dragons at fullback? Do youthink it is a significant issue the tackles
that he's missing at fullback. Ithink he needs to bulk up on Sunday
night. He needs to bulk upin his top top half. He needs
some up of body strength a bitlike you know. I know he's taller
and he's longer than James Escape, but James will have a body strength where

(39:42):
he could break through tackles where TyroSloane's being picked up and carried backwards.
I think he can be our longterm, long term fullback, but he's
just got to get bigger's. Wemight lose a little bit of a little
bit of speed, but he's gota lot to burn, so hopefully he's
the number one for a while.Yeah. Personally, I think there's too

(40:07):
much focus on on his weakness.People saying that he's got to improve his
defense. His defense is never goingto be good. What I'd like to
see from Tyrol Sloane has his attackbecome better. Yeah, that's right,
exactly right. Yeah. Again,he's got to play with what's in front
of him. He's got to comeoff outside outside Lamax, outside Amonate,

(40:30):
he's going to come into that backline and he's got to pass, he's
got to keep, he's gotta doeverything. He's gonna be more involved.
Look fall back in five eight. Now, they've got to be the back
of operas. They've got to bethe ones that are following those forwards through.
Give an off load and that's thatthey're gone. And he's going to
learn that more. He's gonna learnmore about attack, I think in general,

(40:57):
like he's scoring plenty of tries, like he's got to he's got more
tries than guys like like, yeah, I'll use Reef Walsh as an event
as an example, because he's anotherfullback that simply cannot tackle Tyro Tyrol Slide
scored more tries than him. TyrolSloane has more line breaks than him.
What Tyrol Sloane lacks compared to aReef Walsh is that ability to create for

(41:19):
the other players. He doesn't.He doesn't set up enough tries. He
doesn't you put players through holes andcreate line breaks. That's the part of
the game that he's missing. Butyou put up a step the other day
that tyro slows. Now we're neitherbottom bottom three worst fullbacks in the COMPS.
So I think we're just giving hima hard time because the important ones

(41:45):
like it doesn't every fullback, everyfullback when you know it's probably gonna get
wrong. I've seen I've seen goodslaying get long, wrong footed and the
best fullbacks in the game. Andit happens that there were like the Knights
had a good wind over oversee uson the weekend, but there was there
was one attempt from Kleon Ponger whereI can't remember who it was, but

(42:06):
ran through him like he wasn't eventhere. It was. It was a
dreadful attempt. I think we've cometo the stage where the fullbacks now they've
come through the system. And ifyou remember a few years ago, I
think it was the Toyota Cup,there used to be huge scored. There
was no defense in those games atall. Well, we had We had
Gary Jack on a couple of weeksago and he sort of said, he

(42:28):
sort of pointed out, none ofnone of the fullbacks in the modern game
can tackle. Look it compared tocompared to his day. He said it
was the number one priority for afullback was defense. And he said he
didn't target Tyroll slow and he saidnone of the fullbacks in the modern game
a good defensive one was pretty ordinary. As you said before, he's a
tax is going to improve. Andif he was setting up three tries its

(42:51):
every game, we wouldn't have beentalking about his defense. Yeah. Yeah,
I tend to agree, all right, well that from from one block
it's coppying plenty of criticism to another. Coco, Maddie, Fine, we
seem to talk about it every week, but the fans every single time the
team gets named a surprise to seethat that Matt is still in the team,

(43:13):
still on that win last time heplayed the Warriors. Dalan Matenni's a
Lesniaks called four tries that with Mattsort of letting him go through basically untouched
quite a few of those. Doyou think the criticism is warranted and that
are you surprised that Ryan Carr hasn'tpulled the trigger and made some sort of

(43:35):
change on that win. Well, like we all say every week, and
here, I'm gonna go PSA toall the people out there, I'm gonna
sweat. So the fucking left sideis weak. That's what it is,
our side. And yes, I'msurprised, but or is there another people,
another player that can come in forhim, like you know, Rip

(43:57):
the band, noide off and Idon't know someone else from the Southbus.
But yes, I'm very nervous aboutour left side going over to New Zealand
where they are at on the table. They're just it's gonna they're gonna steamroll
us pretty much. Yeah, well, it's definitely a fear after what happened
last time DWZ got four tries. Now that now they know it, they

(44:22):
know there's a weakness here, theyknow how to explode it. They might
Bemoch score double that on the weekend. So it's it's it's got to be.
It's got to be a real, real and genuine fear. But I
do think that Matt Fini is notnot the only problem. Like I'm sure
he certainly makes some mistakes, butquite often he's looking at two on one

(44:45):
or three on one situations, thereare people that are making mistakes inside him,
missing tackles or two players joining inon one bloke and failing to stop
the ball. So I think thereare the are a lot of concerns on
that side other than Jess Matt feinI, but there still haven't been any

(45:06):
There haven't been any changes there,So I don't know how we're going to
going to fix it with the samepersonnel unless that the coaches have have decided
in the space of a couple ofdays to completely change the way we would
we defend, which I can't seethat happening, are there, So yeah,
strap yourself in. We might needto score seventy if we're going to
going to score as many as theWarriors, because they're going to keep going

(45:29):
there and they're going to go thereor nine and that's and that's what most
of the teams that we've played, they've gone to that side, like the
Raiders did. They knew that thatwas their week side that they took.
They took that as their way ofgoing. Yet we're going to score that
side, and now every person orplayer that is on the opposition side will
go for that side, and it'seither that one of our players is out

(45:51):
of position because we've either gone uptoo fast and then too early, and
then that's how they see the gap, or we just yeah, we're out
of position, or we're not. We're not meeting the other team. Mining
up, that's it, mining up. That's the word, you know,
like you're saying, Dotty, Iunderstand, I agree with you, but

(46:13):
has man. One of the thingswe've seen over the last couple of weeks
with with Zach blow Max being outis that there's there's there's been a bit
of a swapping of sides once againwhere Moses Souli is swapped over to the
other side of the field to bringin Max. Like and and Max,
I'm pretty sure as a right sideplayer, what do you what do you
make of this? Is Ryan Cardjust putting the Peni twins next to each

(46:38):
other because they're twins because it doesn'tseem to be the right move. No,
he's putting them on the same sideas the best ship. Well,
isn't that Isn't that a good ideawith Billy? With Billy on the other
side of mix. So when whenwhen Zach comes back to Sulio back to

(47:00):
that side, or does does thatgo back to playing playing on the left
again? It goes back to backto business as usual, you know,
it goes it goes back to Velaside and Hormos a silly gets up with
Phinney. Yeah, well we'll seepagging Simon's much not to mention Junior remains.

(47:25):
Well, I mean there's plenty ofmistackles on both sides of the field,
really, I mean there was eightmistackles from Dan Russell. There was
quite a few from Ben Hunt onthe on the other side. So yeah,
both both edges had some some issueswith before they got to the centers.
And yet the left side there's beenfrom last count fifty two fifty three

(47:52):
tries score down that side and alittle bit over half that on the on
the right. Explain that it wasonly about three weeks ago we're all winaging
about Rabela letting in four tries. So yeah, well that was one ship
game that the left side. Yeah, yeah, I agree. I think

(48:14):
I think there's some massive issues withthe left side and the own we we
we've dropped tried a few guys inthe second row there and it hasn't hasn't
been able to fix it. SoI think I know where the problem is
defensively is that there's now there's there'sno trust on that side. There they're
basically expecting the guy inside to completelymiss the tackles, so they're they're automatically

(48:38):
coming in expecting to have to coverit, and that's just creating a bloody
slide effect. And that's where weend up with these you know, bloody
two and three on one, bloodyoverlaps that we seem to get every week.
They've just kind of learned to trustthe man inside them. It's it's

(48:58):
it's hard to trust the men insideyou when we've got so little speed.
So we've if their opposite man's onthe outside of them, they're not getting
them. So although the man insidejust Billy Burns for fox sake, well
Billy's probably faster than there outside back, so you know, well, but
maybe stick Billy on the wing andget rid of might be an option.

(49:22):
Who knows, just clone Billy Bonesand put him in all seven eight positions.
They go at half pack team BillyBurns he played five aid in New
South Wales Cup. Why not heshowed his ball skills the other night the
show and go to score that tribal. Yeah, got a few triesis with

(49:45):
grubs and he's got he's got itall, got it all anyway, Buddy,
Jesse Flagg, we're on a nearlylast in reserve grade since Billy Bones
got promoted to the the top grade. We haven't won a game since you
left, so it makes a difference. He makes a difference, Old Billy.

(50:06):
All right, Jesse, let's let'slet's break up the NRL chat with
a little bit of NRLW stuff.Dragons taking on the Titans on Saturday.
Once again, a couple of change. Is not quite as many as we've
seen in other weeks. But yeah, what what what surprised you about this?
This team list mine? So I'llrun through the team list first and

(50:29):
I'll go, I'll go. I'lltalk a little bit about that. Foreback,
we've got Teagan Berry on the wings. We've got the match winner,
Margo the Maggot, Bella and JaneLendel in the centers. Here is where
it's interesting. Kearly Brown and actuallywho she celebrated her birthday the other day.
Happy birthday to her and Bobby lawToller, her handstring the other day.
It's surprising that Jamie Saward has namedher, which we'll talk a little

(50:51):
bit about some exciting news with BobbyLaws coming as well today. I'm five
if we've got Tyler and a forone and half back capt that we've got
Racy and McGregor. So the backgroundremains the same. Alexis Townyer at Locke
with Ela Costa who was superb onthe weekend, with Jamie Leebright up front.
We've got Angelina Ta guitar. SophieClancy's also been named with our shoulder

(51:14):
and you're in an ac joint soagain another surprise selection there, and Tara
McGraw west the other on the bench. We've got Zali Hopkins, Carla Kawan
gets a recall, Sarah Read andalso Madison Weather all returns onto the bench.
We've got Renee Target and we gotShane Armone it was fantastic on debut

(51:36):
last week. Taylor Mapis Mazie alsoon debut last Saturday, and Roxy Murdoch
and of course coached by Jamie souYeah, you mentioned well, actually a
couple of players in that lineup thatpicked up injury injuries last week and ac
joint injury for Sophie Clancy, andof course we thought that that Bobby Law

(52:00):
was gone for the season and gonefor the season. My ass, she's
named this week. How did thathappen? I don't know. There's spread
today that I'm she's some sense ofplaying this week. She's just for scans.
I don't know if she has gonefor the scans yet. Maybe it's
not as bad as we first fought. And if if she does end up

(52:22):
playing this week, that is amassive in for the Dragons because it's another
big game against the Titans on Saturday. Especially afterwards Say said she's gone in
the press conference. So it's astrange one listening to what you got saying
on Sunday's Sunday showers, listening onthe drive home from work today and after

(52:46):
knowing what the teams was having yethaving a little bit of a giggle saying,
now, Jamie sawe he won't takeany chances with it with a hamstring,
And you know, then you sortof look at the team list and
y'all maybe maybe might play. He'splaying games, like Jesse said, chance,
no chance a player. I thinkI'll be surprised if she plays.

(53:07):
I mean, if she plays, huge bonus, huge bonus. She does
a lot of work, averages twohundred meters a game. That's just no
offense to the other players we've gotin squab, but that's just can't be
replaced. She's a class about Yeah, man, whoever comes in if she
does get more bad, that's massiveshoes to fill. But I'm sure we'll

(53:30):
know later whether she does play ornot. Obviously she'd probably have to do
a fitness test and see how asyou go and beginning if we do get
her to play this weekend, Yeah, what do you Who do you see
from from the Titans? Is thekey players that we have to have to
watch and have to stop and containwell. Number one would be a Vannia

(53:52):
Polito. She's very dangerous at theback. She's involved in everything for them.
Jamie Chapman probably another Extragon playing outwhy she'll be up against Marking,
up against Killy Brown. So JamieChapman has a lot of speed to burn,
So Keilly Brown's gonna have to beon her toes and ready just shut
her down. If Bobby Law doesplays, she'll be up against Niah with

(54:12):
the discovery she's actually the sister ofSunny Bills, so and she's formed the
quiet. She's got a nice passon her. So if Bobby does plays,
she'll have to shut her down andit's going to be a big job.
Whoever comes in Shannoa. Our mownerstipped to come in if if Bobby
Lawa has ruled out. I can'tconfirm or deny that though. It's just
what I'm hearing that that could bewhat happens if Bobby laws ruled out.

(54:37):
And I think their forward pack isreally strong. They've had in their wins
this year, they've had real toughforward pack and that that they are really
really a tough team. They reallyhit hard, and they're going to be
really up for this and they're they'recoming off the back of two losses in
a row and they'll be well.Obviously, they've played the high flight Rooster's

(54:58):
last Saturday. They were in thatgame for quite a while and then,
as you know, the Roosters justblow them away. It's called try off
to try and took the game awayfrom them. The Titans are lacking an
attack. They only average ten pointsagain, so we're average about eighteen.
So I think we have them inthat department. But if they get us
in an arm wrestle and steamroll usup the middle, we're gonna have how

(55:22):
do we start out of our starts, mate, because it starts the last
couple of weeks absolutely dreadful. Yeah, we're finishing over the type of teams,
but we're playing catch ups, sowe just can't afford to be doing
that against the quality teams in thecab came No, Yeah, we've errors
helped us get back in that game. The Tigers commented that they made a

(55:45):
lot of errors and that pretty muchpeeed back the Dragons back into that contest.
And then yeah, as racing Gregor'sin in that press conference on the
weekend, they were smashing and theyhad nothing to do with the tide as
areas. We just started playing matter. We played shittys in the first half
and good in the second. Wedid the same in the week before against

(56:06):
the Raiders m hm. And they'vegot a tough forward the Pact that really
hit hard. I'm obviously Chanley Ben'sanother one that will be I'm a handful
of out there. She'll she'll besquaring off with Ala Costa. What about
all that Ala Costa was oppressive.I can see why say would now rates
so it's one of the youngest, best young forwards in the country. What

(56:28):
a game she had on the needsthe other day, Yeah, I thought
I thought she she went went okay. I thought the try that she scored
was pretty good. She played withsome some good aggression. I still think
that she's she's pretty raw with witha fair bit to learn, I suppose.
The other the other interesting question thatI'd like to ask is again,
looking at that team list, andyou look at Keeley Brown and Chinney Lendel.

(56:52):
Every every week, Lendell's named onthe wing and Brown's named in the
centers, and every week that's nothow they played. Did they swaps during
the game? Brown goes to thewinter swopp during the game, Lendall plays
center the entire game, and Brownplays win the entire game. Like but
I don't. I don't understand thatone though. But I like the inclusion

(57:15):
of Maddie Weather all that'll bring thisTitans pack as they're very strong, as
I said, and they play aplay a tough camera footy and we're going
to need some big girls to comeup against them. Having likes of Maddie
Weather all tire McGraw west and Alexistwenty taking on this big Titans beside,
we're going to need all the stiffingup we can get against this team when

(57:37):
you talk about it Alexis. Sofor the first time this year, we
had a different Player of the Matchin the game on the weekend, with
Alexis getting the getting the nod fromfrom the panel just ahead of Telegan Berry.
So Berry for the first time notvoted as that the Dragons best and

(57:57):
just happened to be in the gamewhere she ran more times than any other
player in history and still didn't getPlayer of the Match. So I think
the expectations on teak In Barry arerising through the roof. But young,
young Alexis is really putting her bestfoot forward as well. One of the
you know, one of those playersthat we've really got a sign long term.

(58:19):
Yeah, definitely there's a I knowthere's a few clubs after her,
So it's obviously a process that JamieSoud and those managers have to go through.
But I'm sure they'll be doing thatthe next few weeks signing up these
players long term. And obviously he'dhave his priorities in which one you really
keep. Obviously he did saying thatpress conference too on Saturday that I'm he's
trying to change Tyler Wong's decision. She's once time potentially go back to rugby

(58:43):
seventh and playing the Olympics at Parisnext year. But if she actually has
family in I think her sisters involvedin the clubs. She has a job
doing media for the clubs, sothat could be a thing that keeps her
here as well. So yeah, and Racing I think it might've been Racing
McGregor or somebody was talking about maybeusing the lure of the International Games at

(59:07):
the end of the year to getit to stick around as well. She
can can play for New Zealand representNew Zealand in those games and you know,
maybe maybe she'll love that so muchand stick around in rugby league for
a bit longer. Well, theway she's playing at the moment, well,
New Zealand lacked the sticks in theWorld Cup last year. Mason definitely

(59:30):
been the number seven of the NewZealand so you'd have to with their combination
going so well at the Dragons atthe moment, you'd have to say Kyland
f wongan if she says she'll playfor New Zealand. You'd have to be
the number six, you'd think atthe moment. Well, so yeah,
that plays out anyway. We betterbetter better move on. It's not not
the Donye and GSC show. We'regot to get some other panel members in.
But in New South Wales Cup isabout the same time as the nrlw

(59:55):
game up against the Warriors. Interestingly, we played the Warrior is when we
played the Warriors in the NRL inSydney. With the New South Wales Cup
team went to New Zealand and likewise, this time when the NRL sides in
New Zealand, we're playing at atZeems Park for New South Wales Cup rather
than in New Zealand. So it'ssplitting the first grade and the reserve grade

(01:00:20):
team across in different countries. Itis a one pm kick off at Thames
Park. Yeah no, no jerseyFleet this weekend. They've got the buy
a couple of basically the same squallis the same second road that played in
the jersey Fleet game in Jackson Sheriffand Nick Segrannis. So they go from
jersey Fleet straight into the New SouthWales Cup side. But yeah, it'd

(01:00:43):
be interesting too. Once again, see see how this team goes. But
we have not been impressive in thelower grades in recent weeks. All Right,
we'll move back into the into talkingsome NRL. But let's let's have
a crack at this one. They'reslugging it out in the middle of the

(01:01:06):
film. The dragon's boat row isknock his block of flocking black. It's
time to look at the water onebottles that will deside the game. Will
it be in the key position players? Will the fight be water out wide
or will it be water up front? Scrap your your brain or programs classes.

(01:01:45):
Okay, welcome to Coco's Clashes. Now for against the Warriors, I
believe these are my top players Ithink we need to look out for.
So number one will have to beSean Johnson. You know, he's the
he's the kick play, he's directingplay, the power play. I feel
that he's one of the ones thathe will direct the play that. I

(01:02:06):
think he's one of the ones thatwe need to look out for. Also,
I feel like dal Dylan. I'mjust gonna got him d w Z
because I cannot say his name.No disrespect to any new Zealanders. Also,
he's a speedster and he'll probably useour weakness as well. And also

(01:02:27):
I think the four halfback the clocksthat he's going to be one also his
speed also working probably with Dalon aswell. I think I feel those two
are very hard. They're going tobe very strong and confident as well.
And also the forwards, I thinkAiden Egan and cho Who Harris, I

(01:02:52):
think they will be the run meterstheir defense and their attack. They're probably
going the middle for us and theleft again, I'm just going to be
like the left again and for ourdragons. I think Zach Lomax coming back
fresh hopefully he's kicking, will begood and on point. Ben Hunt I

(01:03:15):
hope he will also, you know, being the captain, will direct play.
They'll be good match up with BenHunt and Shawn Johnson and they'd be
great as well. Got to dothe Jackson and Billy Burns if that will
happen. You know, if anyoneelse has any any everyone could jump in

(01:03:35):
for me as well. That's whoI thought that we needed to look out
for. Yeah, I think there'salways always going to be some some good
clashes. I think, you know, Za Zach loomax And and Rocko Berry
is probably probably the one that Ithat I look at that. Again,

(01:03:55):
I never know what side people aregoing to be playing on, but he'll
looking at the Jersey numbers, Yeah, it looks like those two might be
be up against one other. Thatlooks like one where I think we might
be able to get get a wWe might be able to get some some
wins there and create some space. But yeah, you sort of look through
that that Warrior's team and we sortof said it last time there forward pack

(01:04:19):
is absolutely outstanding and you sort ofline that up against the Dragons forward pack
and it looks like a long dayfor us to be to be quite honest,
But hopefully they can step up onceagain and hold their own. That's
right, I do hope. SoI'd just like to say in the NRLW

(01:04:41):
game, the matchup that I'm reallylooking forward to, although they don't don't
come together too often, the twonumber ones, but t you can Arry
and Avanni Appolitia. I think that'sthat's a hell of a matchup. That's
too, probably the two best fullbackson form in the in the competition.
So yeah, I think that's athat's an absolute ripping battle, and whoever

(01:05:02):
gets the best of that on theday might go a long later to winning
the air side of the game.So looking forward to that. All right,
we'll move into to some fewer questions. I'm just trying to try to
work out who to give what questionstoo. Actually i'll start start stay with

(01:05:23):
you, Coko, just with onon a bit of news. Josh Shuster
some rumors that the Dragons might beinterested in taking taking him on. What
are you what are your thoughts onnow? I just heard about this like
an hour ago, thinking about this, Actually, I don't know. He's

(01:05:44):
he is a good player. Ithink that he's like a manly how we
might have to watch out if he'sgoing to try and like, you know,
punch, just punch the fellow players, teammates I've got so I know,
I think he's a speedster. Wemight need at a bit of you
know, I don't mind. Buthow old is he? Is he young?

(01:06:05):
Is he is he in that eighthbracket early twenties? Oh? They
yet, bring him over, bringhim over, he's very If he's very
young, I think there might besome other members of the panel that might
have have a different opinion big team. Apparently he's a prima donna. Apparently
everything he's got to go his way, apparently so well, apparently again,

(01:06:28):
apparently he's a preimate dollar. Well, apparently he's also on eight hundred thousand
dollars a year. Oh yeah, what a beginning to three hundred and mainly
can play the rest. So isthis a Flanno I think because Flanna is
still a panel Yeah, well flatFlanno might might have a very high opinion.
I mean, I think it's absolutelyit's horseshit that people have made up

(01:06:53):
mainly have literally just signed him ona multi year eight hundred thousand dollars a
year, and just because because becausehe had one or two average games and
I've dropped him to reserve grade,all of a sudden, they're gonna they're
gonna give up on a player thesame that they've seen as being to be
part of their future. Absolute crap. I think he's got to learn a

(01:07:14):
new position too, because they've movedhim back into the second right. Well,
Luke Books next year too. Itwill be next year when Luke Books
goes into the side. Maybe he'sgot to learn the position. Yeah,
yeah, he's got they reckon. He's got all the all the skills of
a five age, but he's nothe's not quick enough. He's too lazy

(01:07:36):
offensively. I think there's a lotof the worst passes, the worst in
Lomaxes. Yeah, yeah, theway too well, there's no there's no
like lomax is doing a flip passwhen there's four players on him and tries
to look at Yeah, this guy'sdoing noble plant passes. The no pressure

(01:08:00):
in throwing him to the touch judge, Like, what did you see the
game against Penroflies or he made abreakdown the side he had Brad parkinsport Brad
Parker would make it, but hekicked it and Brian Tyler was right behind
him. Boy at Brad Parker insidehim who couldn't keep up with him,
and then kicked it for Brad Parker. Just take the party, just take

(01:08:24):
the tackle. You've got a fullset. Keep the war. Then Penrith
scored the following play. Yeah,it's ridiculous. We don't want it.
We don't think we don't want him, all right, Jesse. The other
the other bit of news Veronica WhiteMetal, there's there might be a Dragons
player up for that one. Well, that's that's right. Actually the first

(01:08:45):
time in since twenty nineteen and theDragons have had a nominee, so it's
people that don't know. The VeronicaWhite Metal is the women's equivalent of the
young Ken Steen Metal and this yearthe Dragons nominee is the person on by
he can see my background, BobbyLaw. So so here's the club's actually
released the statement united as well andyou can go vote for Bobby on the

(01:09:09):
NRL dot com website. You've gotto next Wednesday, I think it's August
twenty nine, Next Tuesday, Augusttwenty ninth at five pm, so that's
when voting will close. So ifyou want Bobby to win the on Veronica
White Medal, go vote for aDragons fans. So this is what the
statement is and a bit of WhiteWhite what she's been doing off the field.

(01:09:30):
So Bobby is a proud Warremi woman. She's represented the Indigenous All Stars
on two occasions as well as AustralianFive Ministers thirteen. She linked up with
the Red V Pride of this seasonafter a premiership winning campaign but Newcastle last
year. Since joining the club,Law has made herself as a role model
throughout the Dragons region beyond thanks toa genuine interest, proactive approach, and

(01:09:51):
all around willingness to help others, particularly with local Aboriginal elders and the local
Aboriginal community. Through a number ofprograms, Dragons commun new staff and players
work closely with many community organizations acrossthe region, achieving our aim of having
a positive of people's lives. Bobbyalways approaches each of these involvements with genuine

(01:10:12):
authenticity that ensure her interactions and connectionsare always impactful, mamorable and always inspirational
for all involved. Her involvements haveincluded community events and training experiences at junior
clubs high Foot, the White RibbonDay Cup in Vomidary, girls only clinics
in Karma and Wollongong, a ReconciliationDay High School League tag tournament in Ferry

(01:10:33):
Matter. And she also recently madean impression on those involved in the South
Coast Group seven Rugby League after hercontribution to the White Ribbon Day Rugby League
Cup carnival. And so they hada spokesperson from Group seven say on behalf
of Group seven Luck Rugby League,we want to make a special manage to
NURLW Dragons player Bobby Law work considerablypositive contribution to our an all White Ribbon

(01:11:00):
Rugby League cut carnival held this year. So Law's community work extends far beyond
the commitments, with the Nelson Baynative having paid visits to Tom a Ree
High School in Salaman Debate as pilotLADOC celebrations and annual presentation assemblies, as
well as her local club, theNelson by Marlots. So she's already managed
to connect with so many external communitygroups and organizations and the Dragons reading on

(01:11:25):
top of the previous connections that alreadymaintains with all of which she fulfills outside
of her training and work commitments. So I'll get your guys, Forts Wady,
your thoughts on Bobby Law Let's workoutin the community. I don't think
it's It's always great whenever we havea player recognized for the things that they're

(01:11:47):
doing away from the game, andobviously she's done quite a bit. But
after after reading all that, maybesit down and have a rest, have
a have a have a drink ofwater, and we'll move into a couple
of questions that we've got got fromour viewers. Big Tea everything. NRL

(01:12:09):
wants to know who you think wouldwin in a fight between Jason sab and
Zach Lomax. I think we're talkingabout this earlier. I think Alex Volkowski
has got his money money on Lomax. Alex Koski said that Lomax will be
the best USC finder in our team. So yeah, I think Zaki Lomax

(01:12:32):
too. I might have a longerreach, but I think Zach moment has
got the mungrel to to give him. Yeah, has been Is this a
fight you'd like to see? Absolutely? Yeah, just realized that if he's
in a boxing ring, he's notgoing to be able to run away.

(01:12:55):
There's only a certain distance you canrun in the boxing ring before you were
on the ropes, and that's exactlywhere he'd where he'd be if he gets
in there with Lamax. Lamax wouldknock his fucking head off. In fact,
I would pay money to see that. I don't think well, I
don't think sal would not a skinof a rice pudden, would he?
Hey? Better not? The fightbetter not being walling off? Goes ahead?

(01:13:18):
It's too far for Stubb to come. Yes, yeah, no,
absolutely, I agree with everyone.I think this would be one of the
biggest mismatches of the century. That's, as you said, big taste Psalms.

(01:13:38):
Obviously a tall bloke, He's veryathletic. He's got plenty of athletic
ability. He moved, he mightmove really well. I just think Zach
Lomax would walk through absolutely anything savedthrough and would destroy him inside of the
minute. I don't think he wouldsurvive outside of the first minute of the
fight. It would be absolute carnageand it would it would not well,

(01:14:03):
would not end well for Jason Sab. I agree, so, but I
think Dragons Fangs, we need weneed a win, don't we. We
we need, we need something toget us to get as happy about.
Obviously the nrl W win on theweekend put smiles on our faces somewhat.

(01:14:26):
But I just get the feeling thatseeing Zach Lomax's cave in Jason sabs face
might might make it make a fewDragons fans days. So let's let's let's
make it happen. Hope hopefully Jason'ssub gets gets his wish. He might
regret your your reaction was gold OnSaturday, Donnie, that video I started

(01:14:50):
I started recording just at the rightmoment. It was like a level Yeah,
let's Jamie Soward's reaction. Just Sarahand Dippy seemed to seemed to work
at work, work all right, and got got in, just got shit
the record button just in time. But it was a great win. I'd

(01:15:13):
love to see yours, yours neckto neck with Jamie Seal. Imagine me
and Jamie in the in the box. We probably would have jumped through the
screen. He hype wid me andjust would have splashed me with all the
sweat on his bloody palms. Hewas to be a coach really good.

(01:15:34):
I got to be planning stuff afterafter that. Alright has been Brendan Daily.
Want our take on the James Grahaminterview with that with Paul McGregor on
his podcast. I don't know ifyou you caught it, but what were
your thoughts? Well, just seemedto me like Mary is tiny trying to

(01:15:59):
rewrite history to sort of make himselfsound a little bit less like a moron.
He said that he basically he lostcontrol of the team selections for the
last what was the last couple ofmonths or whatever it was. It's like,
well, you know he'd been he'dbeen the head coach for you know,
two three years wherever it was,and you know he had done absolutely

(01:16:23):
fuck all, So you know,a couple of months isn't going to do
anything to give you know, toyour legacy or or anything like that.
So I don't, I don't knowwhat he's what he's trying to achieve by
that, because when he was hewas the whole reason why the coaching stuff
and whatever talk over in the teamselections from him is because he was he

(01:16:46):
was doing ship with the teams thatit was, but he selecting, So
I don't, I don't know wherehe's where he's going with this. That
was a border decision to have Flanninginto young and Haron picked the team.
Well, having Harron involved was abad idea for a start, he was
the media absolutely idiot. Yeah, and the board have come out and said

(01:17:12):
that that that was that was amistake and should never have happened and it
will never happen again. So alot of people keep going back to its
how much you know, how muchsay does the coach actually have maybe the
boarder are selecting the team still andyou know, the board have come out
and said it happened once in historywe did it with Paul McGregor for a

(01:17:33):
couple of months. It was amassive mistake. It should never have happened
and it will never happen again. So and again, I totally agree with
Yasmine. I think McGregor is tryingto rewrite history and make it sound like
this was happening. This restriction onhim being able to select the team was

(01:17:54):
a long term thing. It wasa couple of months at the end of
his time, after after seven seasonsin charge, he had plenty of time
where he proved that he was notcompetent enough to select the team on his
own. That's two vans out ofseven years. He took us to one.
He took us to get get absolutelyfucked. Yeah, and he's well,

(01:18:19):
I think he's last. So aftertwo yeven and eighteen, he's like
his last last couple of seasons washis record was actually worse than Hooks.
Well, they finished second last nineteen. Well, I don't know what happened.
I can't remember what happened in twentytwenty. We didn't We weren't even
close to winning half our games.Yeah, it was, it was.

(01:18:42):
It was a pretty pretty poor lastlast couple of years. For Paul McGregor,
I think so, yeah, Ididn't. I didn't need a great
deal of the interview, which didn't. It wasn't something that that had me
racing to defend Paul McGregor. Ithink he's really trying to re right history
and make himself seem a lot betterthan he actually was the team he wanted

(01:19:03):
to. I'm just gonna be adiplomat and go I disagree, Like,
I know, like, that's notvery diplomatic. I bet on the other
side, like I listened to itand I thought it was actually a good
interview, like I and you knowwhat, yeah, mate, like you

(01:19:25):
like I feel that the board doestake some some like what is it?
What am I trying to talk about? Oh? My god, fucking dead.
I'm sorry, guys, that nickpower, thank you fucking el hold
go mental tonight, the power ofthe team. Like, you know,
if I was a coach and myteam was dead fucking last, I would

(01:19:48):
lose the ship as well. AndI get it's him and he didn't do
very well. The thing is thatthere says I should have had control of
the team. I say, no, you should have been fired rather than
having this imposition put on you.You should have been sacked much earlier than

(01:20:08):
he was and this should never havehappened. I think everyone agrees that taking
team selection away from a coach isa stupid thing to do. Yeah,
and no, no coach should everbe if you think the coach needs that,
you don't have the right coach. You have to get that coach.
You can't can't do that, Yeah, because I feel that when we were

(01:20:31):
were like within this slope for likewhat how bucking is And I think if
if your go, if the coachcan't make if the coach can't mate,
like can't get you to even thetop eight, and they're still in this
slump, then I'm sorry, seeyou later, mate, Off you go.
But it was just an interesting tohear what he had to say,
because I haven't heard when he left, Like we didn't get to have that,

(01:20:56):
you know, didn't hear him,you know, And I was just
like, oh, okay, kindof thing. Yes, yes, I
just want to add on, youwant to say what you're saying. I
liked he Mary loved the club.Mary he still does. He still does,
and he really wanted to make itwork. He just he had a

(01:21:18):
long time. He just couldn't makeit work. I admire that what he
tried to do, and he washe was. He'd get there, what
five o'clock in the morning, he'dbe there till late hours of the night.
That job really meant a lot tohim, but he just couldn't cut
as the coach. He was agreat player, but not all great players
make coaches. That's right. Youhit the down on the head of that,

(01:21:39):
You're correct, And yeah, Ijust I still like him as a
boat and he's all around top load. He still misses that job. But
yeah, I think it's a realshame that he actually was the coach in
his club because he was. Hewas a legend of a player, and

(01:22:00):
he should be remembered as a asa legend of the club rather than the
bloke that was a freaking terrible coach. And he's got a lot to wear
in support for the position that we'recurrently you know, I think so.
I think it's a shame that that'sThat's probably more what people are going to
remember him for. Coco tali Angelidissays, as long as we don't finish

(01:22:24):
below the Tigers, he will behappy. This has to be the main
aim for the rest of this season, do you agree? Yes, I'd
rather be second last and last likeyes, and the Tigers are going except
for lasting. But yes the Roosters, we need you to win so then
they will still be last. Okay, and we need to win as well.

(01:22:48):
You have a scary thing. Tigerscan beat the Roosters end mainly,
or they can. I think theycan, but they won't. I mean
the roost is all win that. This this is far too oh sure it
is. Yeah, they have tomake that. Last week playing the play
the Hills, didn't they leave,I tell you. But I still think

(01:23:11):
they've got enough to make well.Yeah, again, there's there's been a
lot of things you've said that yousee, you sounded very certain, but
you were wrong. So yeah, stranger, stranger things have happened. Ranger
things have happened. There's certainly beenbigger upsets that have happened at different stages
this year than not too many ofus getting one from nine every week.

(01:23:39):
Yes, all right, last week, oh shout, I got four.
I think I got seven. I'vegot seven. Last week I've got seven.
I toot the Cowboys, Yeah Ihave I have the dragons. I
had the dragons up the top ofwhat typical. I didn't have the Dragons

(01:24:02):
with your head to your big team. Well you got got eight from eight
and the Dragons got bats, sohe's a head to a heart. That's
right. I still haven't got awindow. The Dragons won. I won
my Tipping Cup last year, butthis year I I've been down here last

(01:24:24):
I'm actually making a late run toget up to thirtieth the seventh there I
was lading the three Wars of them and dropped off. Yeah. Yeah,
but I suppose in terms in termsof Tolly's question, a couple of
weeks ago, I would have said, I honestly could not give a like

(01:24:47):
I would prepare, prefer for usto be doing everything we can to prepare
for next year. I don't.I couldn't. I couldn't care less if
we get the spoon with two gamesto go, I don't think this much
we can do to prepare for nextyear. Now, I think, you
know, three or four weeks ago, I would have said, I'm not
not too fast, And I thinkputting the blokes in that are going to

(01:25:13):
be there next year and giving themthe experience is going to be more valuable
at next season than than avoiding thespoon. I couldn't tell you who've got
the spoon two or three years ago. I couldn't care less. It's it's
not that, it's it's not notnot something that that scars you. And
if you're you know, if youyet you need to win a spoon to

(01:25:33):
prepare better to to maybe make theeighth next year, then I'm quite happy
to take the wooden spoon and tradeit for a top eight spot next year,
rather than you avoiding the spoon thisyear and running twelfth next year.
Yeah, I'm not, I'm not. I'm not overly scared of the spoon.

(01:25:54):
But I don't think we're going toget it. With a couple of
weeks to go, I think thatthe Tigers lose, lose one more game.
We we won one one of thesenext two games, we avoid this
moon in any case, And yeah, I think I think we will.
I don't think we're gonna get it. I think we're gonna finish second last
no matter what we do. Sobring it on, all right? Has

(01:26:15):
been mad Lad loves has Man's fanboy of Jackson Ford and wants to know
what you would say to entice himback to the dragons if you got the
chance. Jesus, thanks, thanksmad lad boy, that I don't talking.

(01:26:40):
You'd just be on your knees, wouldn't you get absolutely fucked? Oh?
Probably? Just say to it.Look, mate, I was absolutely
devastated when you when you're left.I was spoken to a lot of a
lot of fans. Yeah, it'ssort of like like you as much as

(01:27:03):
I do. You know, you'rea bit of a bit of a club
legend, you know, basically justblow a whole bunch of smoke up his
ass essentially. So what would ittake to get you back to the club.
I'll have a chat to the idiotsin the boardroom and tell him right,
so this is what he wants.Fucking give it to him. We

(01:27:27):
need him back. He's too gooda player. Not too I'd love to
see him and Billy Burns on thesame side together. Well, I hope
you like seeing Billy Burns knocked onhis ass, because that's what I'm expecting
to happen in front. You saidthat in the lead up to the Melbourne
game March and then you gave himthe three votes, so you can't pretend

(01:27:49):
you hate him anymore. Well,we know you're love him. I'm not
saying I hate I hate Billy.I'm just saying I like Jackson more even
made the Team of the week.Billy Yeah, apart from his ten miss
tackles. Billy had a good game. Yeah, apart from his ten miss
tackles well, and Billy Burons obviouslygot the most folks in the Mad Dragons

(01:28:16):
Vodcast Player of the Year voting, which is which is fantastic. But you
might be surprised to know even thoughhas Man gave him three, I did
not. I only had one votefor Billy Burtons. I couldn't couldn't couldn't
possibly give him the the three withten miss tackles I've But again, I
guess that comes down to the factthat most other people were surprised by the

(01:28:41):
performance of Billy Bones. I expecthim to play that well, and yeah,
I expect him to do that wellin attack, and I know how
hard he has worked in defense, and he has been a lot better.
He has approved improved a lot inthat area. But I thought on the
weekend he let him so down alittle bit defensively and mists and tackles that

(01:29:02):
but that he should have made andwould have made in previous weeks. So
I think that once again he's gotto get back to sticking his first up
contact's got to be a little bitbetter, and then then maybe he might
get get the three from me.But I'm going to be a hard taskmaster
because I expect greatness and greatness onlyfrom Billy Bones. All right, we'll

(01:29:24):
move in to prediction time. We'llstart with you, you, Jesse,
Well, what's your your predictions forthis weekend? So foot well with the
NRL. First, I'll go atthe NRL. So Warriors have too much
to play for. I'm going togo Warriors by eight. I'm going to
go first try. I think Dalanwe'll get a first try for the Warriors,

(01:29:45):
and at any time, I thinkBilly will get another try. Billy
bustling Birds. We're going to tryat some point. And in the NRL
W I think it's going to bea low scoring game. The times are
very good defensive sides. I thinkthat's going to be an arm wrestle,
low scoring game. I think wecan get the Titans by four. I'll
go this time. I'll go.I'll go. I'll smoke you. I'll

(01:30:08):
get Ela Costa to get a tryat some point, and the first try
I will go with Margovela Dragons byfour in n LW. There we got,
all right, we'll big team.Yes, I'm gonna get the girls
first two. I'm gonna go Mag'sanytime. She's scores in every game.

(01:30:30):
She's just so good. And soif you're clear, did you get the
first dive over from from dum House. I think the girls will move into
the eighth. They have a winover the Titans, so hopefully they'll door
was prayer of the weekend and theboys go slowly. Anytime I go Billie

(01:30:55):
Burns first tryal and he's gonna he'sgonna have another good game. And Dragons
and an upset. Yeah, allright, big, big, big upset.
I would imagine what's your predictions?Okay, for the girls, I'm
going buried for first try scorer anytimeI was looking at this, I will

(01:31:20):
go, uh. If Law plays, I'll go Bobby Law anytime, and
the girls buy about six. Soand with the men's I'm hoping fingers across
the Dragons will win by four. The loon first try and Lomax anytime,

(01:31:44):
alright, as man serious question timefrom from Mohammed did would you resign Billy
Barnes? He's off contract, hedoesn't have a contract for next year.
Would you would you give him oneon the strength of what he's been doing
recently? I would, I wouldabsolutely consider it. Would I would not

(01:32:04):
just be dismissing him. But atthis point and seeing what I've seen recently,
he's starting to impressed me. Igave him the three votes last week,
so I don't I don't hate him. I just I knew you'd come
around here and act irrationally. Butyou're deep down, you know you're you're

(01:32:27):
a pragmatist. Go on with yourpredictions, mate, what do you What
do you got Billy first time, anytime and all time? He's going to
go projects, but she's going tostart with the start with the girls first.
So I've got Margo Vella as first, Racine McGregor anytime. I've also

(01:32:53):
got Steph Hancock to get over forthe for the Titans at some point,
even though she's coming off the bench, and I reckon Dragons will win by
by eight to ten. Now inthe in the NRL, I've got d
w Z and Rabel Lowertz to bothget hat tricks Jackson Ford's not Billy Burns

(01:33:15):
on his absolute ass and Dragons bytwo with his Zach Lomax goal kick the
difference fantastic all right, Well forme, I think I think it's going
to be a good weekend for theDragons. I think Lendel will get first
try scorer in the nrl W.Berrys as an any time try scorer.

(01:33:40):
Yep, Jesse, Yep. We'llpromote that one during the week. She
just last every time I'm building upto the finish and he's got a bloody
