the Mad Dragons Podcast. And tonightyou might want to talk some more about
Ben Hunt, and I'm sure somepanel members that won't be able to help

(00:31):
themselves. But we've said what wesaid about Ben Hunt on Sunday Night Show
and honestly nothing has changed since. This game against the Warriors is a must
win to keep our seasons flickering candlealight as we celebrate Jack Devellan's two hundredth
game as a Dragon has men takeus through the Dragon squad already. Say

(00:55):
here's how we line up against Doristhis week. So tyr El Slane is
the fullback, Matt Fine and MicallieRabela are on the wings as always,
most of Suli and Zack Lomax likewise. In the setters, Jaden Sullivan is
the five eight, Ben Hunt isthe halfback and captain. And the forwards

(01:18):
we've got Francis Marlow and Blake Laurie. Jacob Little is the hooker in the
second row. We've got Jack Birdmaking his return after having a bit of
arrest with his I think it wasnice saunas issues Jaden Sewer will partner him
and Jack de Bellan will be thelock in his two hundred game, as

(01:40):
Donnie just mentioned. And on theinterchange bench we've got Junior Ramone, Michael
Marlow, Ben Murdock Massilla playing againsthis old club and Zane Musgrove and the
referee is Adam by Gee by Jingoby Crikey. Back to you, Donnie,
thanks part. We will get intothe Dragons team a little bit later,

(02:02):
but first of all we've got aspecial guest to join us for our
for this little segment here, sowe'll get into this. Come with me
as we go behind enemy lines BognadeDragons fans on Big Ta and this is

(02:57):
behind enemy lines round seven eight beforeI bring it out, guests run through
the Warrior's team. At the backyou got chance Nicol Kluksta put a great
name. Days Dalan with teenis Lesnikanother one in my telen months, Marcello
Montoya on the wings, Roque Berryand Adam Pompey in the sevens, Metcalfe
and Johnson half and five eighth's snowBlake, Wade Egan and big Buns of

(03:19):
your Foa on the front row hasman's boy Jackson Forward. We all know
he loves Jackson Forward and naka TotalHarris walks the scrum on the bench.
He's dangerous at times. He's blokeBilan Walker, Josh Curran, Bailey Silan
and Tommy Ali a Man, FreddyLussick and Andrew Epps of the Coach.
All right, bringing out bringing ourguests now, Christian, Christian, how

(03:42):
I your mate? Yeah, I'mdoing very good at yourself. I'm good,
mate, I'm very good. Tellus how where you come from and
what's the podcast you do? SoI'm from Auckland, New Zealand, born
an Uplan's own but I've been inAustralia living on the Gold Coast for around
about ten years, so since twentyten I've been leaving Australia. I'm a
Warriors fan, massive Warriors fan,um proud he born and bread um.

(04:08):
I run a channel called Warriors inOur Alphonetics on YouTube, so yeah,
just go and suit set up there. And I'm also on other platforms as
well, so you can find meeverywhere Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and
I've also gone a Facebook group aswell, but that's run with myself and
have a few people nice cool.Um, Well, Um, I'll start
with the big news in that ourmaybe a big news for you maybe,

(04:30):
Yeah, Roger to a few ofus ship talking about coming back, Um,
you'd like him in the Warriors side? Would you like him back?
Yeah? So Rogers coming back nextyear. He signed on a two I
think he signed for a couple ofseasons. Um signed. Yeah, he's
already signed through. Okay, earlierthis year he signed him. He signed

(04:56):
from next year onwards. But there'sobviously there's been some talks around rumors around
whether he's going to get an earlyrelease because he hasn't been named in the
All Blacks. He's in a RugbyAll Blacks side lately for the upcoming fixtures
before the World Cup. But yeah, at the moment, um Um Andrew

(05:16):
Webs is a pretty much hose thatrumor down. He sit in a press
conference, a little media thing todaychat interview that there's been some rumors but
at the moment the club's not reallytalking to him, so basically that's she
squashed the rumors at the moment. So okay, yeah, I was just
talking with to come back this yearand let's talk about the roosters. But

(05:40):
the roosters get everybody. Yeah, yeah, have they got a salary cap?
Who knows? Um, what areare a tough team to analyze like
they played the last two years inAustralia. Really Yeah, they played half
the last year back in New Zealand'sthat career Yes, yeah, we had
some back end of the season downthere Mount Smart in New Zealand. So

(06:03):
yeah, you can take their formfor those couple of years. What do
you think about their form this year? And we'll they play semi finals.
Yeah. So at the moment we'resitting in sixth bore on the NRL letter
currently. Um, so it's beenit's been a tough couple of years.

(06:23):
Obviously with the COVID pandemic. Thisteam has been based in Australia for quite
some time. We've been based inRedcliff, We've been based in Terrible,
Um, you know, we've beenaround the joint. We've been around the
joint for some time. We've alsohad former Dragon South Nathan Brown, who
was the coach at the Warriors fora couple of years. Um. For

(06:44):
me, that was, you know, probably one of the darkest years in
history of the Warriors. I thinkpersonally, I think what Nathan Brown has
really done it the club is nothingbut great, nothing but terrible actually,
I think he's been terrible and sincethem, yeah, since since he's gone
to a lot of clubs. Youknow, he's been at Newcastle, comes

(07:06):
to the Warriors some time with Newcastle, tough time in Newcastle. Yeah,
he has within the UK and he'sdone fairly well. So yeah, yeah,
they've been a little bit atached youthis year. Um, the Warriors.
Um, they've won three I thinkit's three games at home and three

(07:27):
games away maybe I think it is, yes, yeah, yeah, and
they've lost more more away. Umyeah, I think they got pretty good
at mine. The New Zealand side, there're a good side. But you
gotta you gotta thank New Zealand fordoing what they did over the the I
mean the carriage years. Um,So anyway, I will carry on.

(07:49):
Um, I know you're gonna say, Sean Johnson, where else are the
Warriors strong in attacking defense? SoI think for me it's obviously got to
be Shaw Johnson League's away that afour pack as well. Added to new
A Blake, I think he's probablybeen in his best form in his career

(08:11):
for the Warriors. And constant time. I think this has been one of
his better seasons to date, andI would say that he's probably one of
the up there is one of thebest props with up there in the game
at the moment. You can argueagainst it, but that's what I think.
Personally. We've got a very good, sort of solid four pack,

(08:33):
a good bench as well. WithWalker coming back into the side, I
think dita Walker adds Penny, wecan play numbers of positions as well,
play a bit of five eighth hooker. He's played. He started as well
this year Quad in the five opespot as well, so he's been in
the team quite regularly. Current's verygood off the bench as well in the
forwards more Toy has been great onthe wing, what teens the leading has

(08:56):
been an outstanding form for us throughoutthe past couple of weeks as well,
and seeing Kay at the fullback spothas been very good for us too.
So I think overall, if youlook at the Warrior's team, it's you
know, we've got some streams everywhereacross the field, and I think that
the team in general is you know, doing very well. And I think
what what Webb he's bringing Andrew Websterfor those you know, who was an

(09:20):
assistant coach for US a couple ofyears ago when we had Andrew McFadden,
So he knows a bit about theclub already, even you know, even
though clubs changed since the end whenhe was last year he went to pen
Riff did some you know, hewas assistant coach and Penris one of the
premierships as well. I think hewas the attacking coach. I believe that
the taking coach there, defensive coach. But yeah, Webb, he's done

(09:43):
a very good job. I thinkhe's bringing this team really together a treek
and we're showing a lot of consistencyas well. And I think if Ayo
has have been great, So that'ssomething you want to see as a Warriors
fan. But going into this year, like I didn't really have a lot
of expectation. I thought this wasgoing to take some time, if all,
this team to get going again. But you know, we're have exceeded

(10:03):
expectations so far. Sitting in sixthand I think, you know it's gonna
be I think personally, I thinkwe don't make the finals from here.
I think it's going to be abit of a disappointment. Um yeah,
well that was my next question aboutWebster, but you just answered that one,
so I'll ask you about your teamhas got some hair on him.

(10:24):
Um yeah, but teenager isn't thebest mullet I've I've ever seen. Um
it could be a Mexican crooner. He could be I mean fourth, it
should be a frour. Look atthe hair on that bloke. Yeah.
Well, anyways, anybody asked anyquestions for Christian I do actually Jasm you

(10:48):
go first. Um, um,what do you think is the key to
Shawn Johnson finding his vintage? He'sbeen probably the key to your success this
year and you've been a surprise tacketso far under calm, what what do
you think of the form of ShawnJohnson so far this year? Yeah,

(11:11):
look cough came a lot of Warriorsfans, including myself, had a lot
of doubts around Shawn Johnson because lastyear he did it very tough. Obviously,
he his family always all of hisfamily best in New Zealand and his
wife and as his young child, and he had towards his young child get
born as well, so that'd beenvery difficult from him as well, when

(11:33):
as well as the fact that theteam went performing on the field and things
weren't going great and they've brown andall that sort of stuff, and it's
a bit of like, you know, a bit of a reverse to a
form. You know, he's shownlike his best career form that he's shown
and some quite prompt some time actually. So to see Shawn Johnson back for
his very best is very good becauseit really does help the club as well.

(11:54):
When I felt that, you know, you're going into this year with
some of the young players we gotcoming on board, we had Volkman,
Mit Cars and the likes of TomorrowMartin, I thought, you know,
Shawn Johnson's position, which is crazyto say that it made under Fred because
his form wasn't great last year.So he's really tuned around his performances.

(12:15):
He's a lot more comfortable, he'sa lot more confident. You can see
how happy is now these days. He's really showing and the form has been
showing it too. So yeah, look, it's great. Three good to
see Shawn Johnson has put a formand thoroughly helping the side at the moment
as well. Thanks, Oh good. I just want to talk to you

(12:37):
about a guy that everyone's expecting meto talk about Jackson Forward, who has
come over to you guys from theDragons this season, and from what those
scenes's actually been doing doing pretty decent. In fact, I was just having
a quick look at the stats andhe scored two tries in thirty three games

(12:58):
for the Dagans and has done thesame in twelve games for the Warriors.
What do you think Jackson Forward bringsto the Warriors forward pack. Yeah,
so that's an interesting one because goinginto the you know, off season,
I personally wasn't too sure about him. I've seen a lot of them up

(13:20):
to that point, but what Ithought was the signing at start of the
year, I thought he was goingto be coming in for a lot,
you know, a sort of playedit eds a bit of depth in the
forwards. Personally, Um, that'swhat I thought at the start, But
I think generally, as as theyou know, as he started the season
off, I think he's starting toprove me wrong, and I'm happy to

(13:43):
be proven wrong. I've put myhand up and see it's great to see
and he's been adding cleary of theside. But I think overall, Jackson
Forward, you know, these thestore things in his game. I will
say this that he does probably needto sort out a bit. He does
seem to you know, give awaya penalty or to the game or you
know miss attack all there and thenso I think there's some things that you

(14:03):
need to think that he does hejust sort out overall. But look,
I think he's doing solid job ofwhat he's saying at the moment. See.
Yeah, look, I'm pretty happyat the moment how he's going.
But yeah, obviously I think youcan improve as well. Risia, Christian,
I've got one for you too,Sorry has been Yep, Christian,
I'm very impressed with the full backthat came from Canberra, Charles nickle Clockstad.

(14:26):
Yeah. I think he's an absolutelybrilliant, quite achiever. Brilliant for
you with the spine, I imaginehe's up on the run meters and mate,
what a bloody weapon to have atthe back there in attack and defense.
It just seems like an inspide atthe Warriors. Yeah, I think
obviously that he came into the sideand you know, we lost Riese Walsh

(14:52):
and a lot of people were sayingthat Riese Walsh was such a big loss
for us. Now I think youknow, he's signing the clock start.
I thought was a very good signing. I was a massive fan of that.
Then seeing Kay back in a coupleof years ago, was was that
the Warriors um didn't get a lotof first grade opportunities and you know it
went over to the Camber Raiders andobviously he got his chances there and you

(15:16):
know, featuring in a Grand Finalas well. So I think he went
up pretty well at the Camber Raysat the time. And last year obviously
was tough. He didn't have hisgrade over and Ke didn't play a lot
of first grade last year. Thatgame against the New South Wales Cup game
was his last game there and youknow he was in tears and that and
I was quite emotional for him.But I think coming back home, you

(15:39):
know, it was it was somethingthat really motivated to come back to the
club. And I think that's beengreat for us. Actually, I think
he's really doing some good stuff forus on the field especially, and I
think he's been working very hard aswell. So you know, I really
am a big fan of him.Back when he was at the club,
I obviously didn't get his chances, but he is now doing very well.

(16:00):
So yeah, I have one more. Sorry, So actually this one's more
about your coach, Andrew Webster. He's first time as an NRL coach.
Um people forget he was the peopletalk about Cameron Sarella the pender of assistant
previously. People don't know that there'stoo much Andrew Webster was. He's probably

(16:23):
the forgotten man in the as thepender of assistant as well, and m
he'd probably be contented the coach ofthe year the way he's gone, Like,
no, you wouldn't predict anyone thatwould say the Warriors will be pushing
for semi final football. But he'sdone a remarkable job with him this year.
What are your thoughts on Andrew Webster. Yeah, look, I think

(16:45):
Andrew Webster's coming from the coming fromthe penner of system. He also he
was at the Warriors a couple ofyears ago now he was assistant coach under
Andrew McFadden. And Andrew McFadden whois a Canbraman and yeah, look,
he has been very good for us. He has been very good for us

(17:06):
this year. I think what hebrings is a different dilemma to the side.
Obviously. Now I think something similarto what Ivan clearly bought for us
many years ago when he was atthe Warriors. I think he brings that
calm sort of demeanor, you know. And I think what I like about
Whips is, you know, hecan he speaks very well as a coach
and he can get that sort ofconfidence as players as well. So yeah,

(17:30):
I've been so impressed with what AndrewWibbs has done so far this year,
and I think what he's going tobring in the next four years for
this club as I think we'll bein moving the right direction. Christian,
just a quick go for from myearlier question. Yeah, I think Donnie
will be interested to hear your yourthoughts on this as well. Do you

(17:52):
think Jackson Ford is a better playerthan Billy Burns? Yes, after you,
it's just a running jake on thisprogram, Christian. Yeah, John
once said even do you even knowwho Billy Burns is? Don't be honest

(18:18):
to Jackson Ford. That's the answerfor it. That's the truth. Well,
anyway, anyway, we'll continue on. We played thirty four times,
Dragons have won twenty four and Ilost ten, so we're sort of your
bogey team. So this is whereI like to take a walk down memory

(18:41):
lane. I'm going to go backto twenty fifteen UM Round twenty two on
a wit and cold New Zealand night. After winning last week, guess the
Nights, the Dragons heading dured aseven game losing street. The Warriors,
after three straight losses, tumbled downto the top eight, and then misery
didn't stop their mate. The Warriorswere caught. Happen boy, Benji Marshaw
was just a long ball out toJustin Hunt. Um, I couldn't even

(19:06):
remember. Justin Hunt paid for theDragons a long ball out to be on
the wing and he scored the dryfour. Niel the Dragons kick missed from
the sideline. We're going to talkabout that. And then Nathan fiend Lathan
friend badged over from dammy half andneed to be held up. Sorry mate,
no try. And then twenty minuteslater Mitch Rain does the same thing.
Badge is over, but he scores, this time under the post.

(19:27):
Dragons ten Niels. Sorry man UmLarriors, Larius tried hard hard Now all
first half to know about. Dragonsled ten NAT half time. Five minutes
into the second half, Mitch Rainchips the ball into the end goal and
you want to know who caught it. Don't need you know who caught it,
naughty man, Jake Mark. Yeah, he was fighting, flew through

(19:52):
the air like a ball arena, and then crashed to the ground like a
rock. Scored the drive dragon sixteennil. Okay, we go. Then
from thirty meters out on their ownline, Dragons boot to the left,
mit rain again, stoots from dummyhalf, passes to you and Aiken and guess
what you and Aiken did? Hepassed the ball at the pedo Materia Dragons

(20:14):
over twenty two neil still half anhour ago up and then away from bet
fewstay and out dragons twenty six now, sorry man, it's even getting worse.
It's getting embarrassing for the warriors.Well, it brings Carson Frazel slidice
through paper thin defense to store outthe their right hand side Dragons thirty thirty

(20:37):
four nil penalty goal to Gareth WhitnipDragons thirty six nil mate, and as
they say, the rest is history. That's the walk down memory lane.
Thanksful being with this Christian, You'vebeen absolutely fantastic. Loves having you on.
Um. Yeah, but thirty sixthirty six nil. Sorry man,
had to go back to that one. Yeah, all good, Now,

(21:02):
thanks thanks for having me on it. I really enjoyed it, you know,
it's great. Thank we all lookedto have fun, so I'm glad
you joined us. All right,Back to you, Donnie, thanks for
that, Christian. Just before Ilet you go, give give one more
plug to you to your page becauseI understand you had a pretty good guest
on the night. Yeah I did, actually yourself and Donnie has Its great

(21:25):
to have you on as great chatand great preview and yeah, thanks for
coming on. I really do appreciateit. But you can find me at
on YouTube warriors in our offen eggsto search me up there. I'm also
on Instagram as well, Twitter,TikTok all those platforms, so you could
find me there. So yeah, just suits me up there, fantastic make

(21:47):
Thanks very much for joining us.And yeah, thanks very much for having
me earlier to night on your show. It was a lot of fun.
Yeah, no worries. Thanks forhaving me on also good all right,
are always good to get a bitof insight into the opposition team. Uh
yeah, whenever we do behind enemylines, I think it's a it's a

(22:08):
wonderful little addition to the show BigDay and all right, we might um,
we might go into it to anothersegment. So get the get the
fans involved. Let's let's go intoJags Dragons trivia. Okay, you good

(23:11):
evening, guys. Welcome to JagsDragon's Tribute for this week. So I've
got a special treat tonight. I'vegot two questions. The first one is
concerning a big malestone man. Myscreen saver it tonight. So it's Jack
Debellan. So this week he'll playhis two hundredth game at win Stadium on
Friday night against the Warriors. Sothe first question tonight is when did Jack

(23:34):
de Bellan make play? He makehis inneral debut, what year did he
make it? Um, who wasit against? And what was the venue?
So yeah, who can you name? Where? Who? Where he
when and where he made his aneraldebut and what team did he play against?

(23:56):
And fire away and the comments andthe next question will be up very
shortly after that. We got straightaway Marcus Stolberg's is two thousand and fourteen.
No, that is incorrect. Well, well, yeah, keep the
guesses coming. So that's the that'sthe first stab in the dark. Uh,

(24:19):
Peter Placidio or Veneziano one of ourfavorites. Uh says the nights at
Newcastle in two thousand and twelve. No, that is incorrect. That is
yeah, ad a couple of coupleof guesses. We'll see if a few

(24:40):
more come through. But hopefully somebodyelse can can watch the watch the comments.
Uh, but while will you getinto having a bit of a chat
about our team? So while wewait for a few answers to Jesse's question,
I'll go to you, Rob.I know I said we weren't going
to talk about this, but wecan't really you go through the show without

(25:02):
discussing the ben ben Hunt has beenselected in the team two days after Origin
too in Coin's Land. Given theweek that has been, do you really
think ben Hunt will take his placeon Friday Night? Well, Donnie,
after everything's happened, I'll be skeptical, to be honest with you, I'll

(25:26):
be thinking the man would probably withall the press to be fair to him,
that's that's been. It's been prettyhard, pretty shogging. He did
ask for release, is no doubtit's true, you know with the Dragons,
Ryan, we've confirmed it. I'llbe thinking if he could think he
could get out of the game andnot play. I'll be doing the same

(25:49):
thing. But little my information istonight from Shane finding him by Ryan Carr
that Hunt's going to play on Fridaybacked up, unless he's injured. He
will be playing on Friday night. And I've got to say I've been a,
you know, a bit of ahater of him for wanting to leave

(26:10):
the Dragons as a captain and etcetera. But without gaining all that,
as you said, we've been intoit. But I've got to give it
to him. If he's gonna sharup on Friday and he's going to run
out, well good luck to him, mate. That's all I can say.
But my information is I've heard Shanefunny and say it that he's going
to be playing on Friday night unlesshe's injured. So yeah, where you

(26:34):
go, Donnie in a nutshell? There you go, You reckon your your
your miles that ben Hard's going toplay. Yeah, that that had surprised
me a little bit. But wehave another couple of stabs. At the
answer Jesse to Jags Dragon's trivia question, Chris Holmes says two thousand and eleven

(26:56):
against Manly. That is correct.I just need to know on the venue
where did he make his debut?Which ground was it at con Conon Flamingos
was Fiamngos was about three three millerseconds behind, he said to say,
had the same right answer. Sonow we just need the venue. It

(27:18):
can't be too many possibilities Dragons againstManly. You wouldn't think there'd be too
many options to choose from, soyou chuck the guesses in. I'm guessing
that because it's in your quiz thatit's a it's a it's a venue that
maybe you wouldn't think of. MaybeI don't know, but there's only a

(27:40):
few different home grounds to choose from, So I don't know. I have
a guess who you got has hasMan's on the money, but we won't
reveal that. Yes, Rory McDonaldsays, some corps the corp, Well,
Manly do take a home game tosun Court. Maybe maybe it was
that magic round back in twenty eleven. It was no, oh really,

(28:06):
yeah, thanks thanks for filling mein. Come on, come on,
Chris, you got it. Comeon, have a stab. Chris homes
have a stab. Well, Chrisis oh, it's actually con says the
gong. Yes, it was aMonday night game twenty eleven win Stadium in

(28:26):
Wollongong. It was on the twentyseventh of June twenty eleven, um and
he's first game and it was WayneBennett handed him his n old debut.
I think it was a game afterState of Origin. They were backing up
after State of Origin. We hada few play in Origin two that night,
well the Wednesday night before that.Yeah, well have it. How

(28:51):
about this battle between Con and ChrisChris. Chris got the first dancer by
about three million seconds and Cons beathim by about the same I'm at in
with the win Stadium part of thequestion. Yeah, he's got some bragging
right here. He's got the satistatquestion. Let's it anyone out there wants

(29:15):
to sponsor Jacks Dragons trivias that weekand can have a prize to to give
to the winner of the quiz thateach week. And yeah, definitely getting
Touch Homes has gone further in depth. We want twenty four seas. He
wants, he wants that prize,He wants to be known, so I've
got to give him the winners thewinner. Yeah, good audience, It's

(29:38):
that it's a name I don't thinkI've seen too often in the comments before.
Maybe a new commenters. I love, lovely to have you on board.
My Lucky Dickson says bonus points shipsfast fastest finger first. All right,
I'm gonna follow up question. You'vegot to follow up question. Okay,

(30:00):
well, here we go. Sothe corresponding game last year we played
the Warriors at cogra Um. Cananyone remember what Zach Lomax did in that
game? Was so memorable? Wasgonna flip pass? Yeah? See if
you can remember back to this timelast year, I think it was midway

(30:22):
through last year we played at cograThere you go, right. Stephen Bates
is after the bonus points. Hesays the crowd was eighteen nine hundred and
forty six. I'm going to assumehe looked that up. Unless he's incredibly
autistic, and remember those kinds ofvideos. It's I'm going to call him

(30:45):
the statman. Chris Homes has pushedTyson Frazel not now so the game against
the Warriors. He said he wasat Newcastle's and not that one. Johnny
fars on the money. Yes,all the rugby more to get out of
the in goal. Yeah, hebeat nine defenders to get out of the

(31:06):
in goal. Well yes, yean eight attack is pushing him too,
so yeah, yeah, that thatwas what he did, right, nine
defenders. It was I was atthat remark, never seen anything like it.
Yeah, well that's Jags Dragon's triviafor another week. And yeah,
wise nice to to sort of remembersome of those, uh those moments.

(31:30):
And you know, Jack de Belle, I'm celebrating his two Underwe we will
talk about that in a little bitlater on because I know you're quite excited
about it, Jes, So we'llcome back to that, but temporarily we'll
stay with with ben Hunt. Moza. I hope this works because I know
you have had some trouble with youyour internet today. But if ben Hunt

(31:52):
doesn't back up, if he doesnot play on Friday night, what changes
do you think that will see tothe to the seven eight? Hey guys,
yeah, that's coming through, okay, yeah beautiful? Um Yeah,
event that doesn't play, I thinkit probably we'll give Junior Amon probably another
shot that that, and we'll seethose Amone and Buddy combinations in halves again,

(32:16):
which will probably bring most of themby back onto the bench much as
a lot of people probably discussed, but probably probably the next place to go
on there to cover all those positions. I think we've already spoken about we've
rigged him enough. But yeah,I think I think we'll go with Amone,
buddy and m By to fill inthose halves and look at either way,

(32:39):
I'm pretty happy with with the wheythat we'll being going so well.
The halves anyway, Amone certainly haveto step up and if he does get
his chance this week, if hisHunt is injured up origin, well it's
it's now or never. Yeah, absolutely, I mean I think they think
that's probably the positive to all ofthis is that we do have we do

(33:00):
have a young halfback that needs timein the seven Jerseys. So yeah,
we're getting to the point where there'sgoing to be no excuse other than to
give him that time and see howhe goes. So um, yeah,
that's that's an exciting prospect I thinkfor Dragons fans, albeit a little bit
terrifying. I think sometimes it's abetter the devil, you know, like

(33:22):
we know what we're going to getout of Ben Hunt. I think there's
a lot of uncertainty about what we'regoing to get if if Jaden Sullivan is
becomes our full time half back.I'm pretty confident, but not everyone is.
Um all right has met last lastquestion that will have on Hunt is
Muzza got the question if what happensif he doesn't play? But if he

(33:44):
does play, what sort of receptiondo you expect Dragons fans to give him?
Look, I've been keeping a bitof an arm all the all socials
since this whole thing started, andfrom and your observation that I've made is
that the fans are pretty much splitdown the middle as to their feelings about

(34:06):
what he's done and how he's goneabout it. So from that standpoint,
I expect half the fans too,you know, to be behind him and
you know, support him, youknow, as as a Dragons player,
And I expects the other half tocompletely ignore the boards please to not boo

(34:28):
him on the basis that you know, the board don't listen to the fans
wh would listen to the stupid board. So I reckon he's He's going to
cop a lot of ship from halfthe supporters and a lot of support from
the other half. So I reckonhe's I don't think it's going to be
sort of too outrageous. He's goingto have a lot of fans at him
and a lot of fans behind him, so I think it'll be sort of

(34:50):
pretty much even Stevens. I thinkthat's pretty similar to the answer that I
gave on Christian Show a bit earlieryear. I think that some people will
boom, and the booing is whatyou'll hear. Like, I think there
will be some people that will beabsolutely vitriolic. We've seen some of the
Dragons fans in in you know, other other podcasts and vodcasts and whatnot that

(35:15):
have that have been absolutely ferocious intheir attacks on ben Hard. But there
was an interesting point. I'll actuallyI might go to you monsters, because
you've you've chucked your hand up.I'll let you go with with your point
first, and then I'll ask youthis question. Now you put your hand

(35:36):
up and then left yourself on mute. I mean, I've just got back
one has just said, I don'tthink I don't think they'll be divided on
how they thought he went about itand whether it was right wrong. I
think everybody's in the same same thinkingthere. I think the whether will be
divided whether they're going to boo himor whether they're just going to you know,

(35:57):
cherry. So I really think thatthe Georgie's people do think he's done
the wrong thing by by means ofwhat we're hearing and reading up on what
means of what ben Hunt has orhas not actually said. So until we
hear it from him, well youknow, we're not going to really know.
But yeah, I think if he'sdone it the wrong way, everybody's
in ingrants. It's just how everybodydeals with it, I think would be

(36:19):
different. Yeah, I'll give youthe question that that com sort of put
in the in the comments. Uh, it's it's it's sort of a state
of origin based question. And ifben Hunt doesn't play, doesn't play for
the Dragons, doesn't play again betweennow on state of origin three, does

(36:39):
he get picked for Origins free?Is that to me? Yeah? Yeah,
yeah, well who knows, whoknows? Well, that's that's a
point Land thing. That's completely differentclub putting. So whether whether Billy's going
to playing without any club time, well who knows, but realistic you'd have

(36:59):
to say no. So well, yeah, I don't think he'll do that.
Yeah, I think Queensland would stillpicking quite frankly, but big two.
Yeah, what happens if he playsand he has an absolute Barry Crocker,
Um, but they can't handle theball and he doesn't kick kicks out

(37:20):
in the fall whatever you know,he has has an absolute shocker. What
happens then one of the crowds werethe crowd donner do it? Oh,
they're going to crucify him. Therewill be someone that'll jump defence, like
there'll be some more on little jumpdefense trying to shoot. And if he
and if he doesn't play and heends up with somewhere else, I don't
know how he could do that.Um, he's not supposed to talk to

(37:43):
any o the clubs because he's undercontract. Um. But if he doesn't
play and doesn't come back to theDragons and ends up to, say the
Titans, well, it'd be thefirst ever player to play state of origin
in the same year to two differentclubs. I don't I don't know.
I think there's been a lot ofa lot of midseason swaps that have happened

(38:05):
over the course of time. Ithink first I think it would be the
first. Okay, yeah, Idon't know. I would I would have
thought that it would have happened atsome point over the course of time.
There's been a lot of ye big, big mid season signings. I would
have thought at some point has happened. But maybe we'll get David Middleburg on

(38:27):
that one. They donny a goodquestions for you. No, no,
what do you call it? Onthe agenda? Um, he's hunt the
first captain ever in the NRL towin a release from a team. So
I heard that today. I don'tknow if that's true or not, what
everybody thinks or whatever. Cameron CameronMcInnis was the club captain, our last

(38:51):
club captain, and he requested arelease too. So yeah, so he's
not the not the first, he'she's the second captain, a second Dragon
as captain in a road to doit. Oh well, there a good.
So I don't know about any anybodyelse. I don't follow too many
other teams as closely as I followthe Dragons. But yes, it's been

(39:13):
very disappointing. Our last two captainshave decided they wanted to leave as soon
as the coach got sacked. Soyeah, interesting, yeah, all right,
Um, where are we on theagenda? Speaking of the agenda.
I'm just trying to try to findme place. Now, m I go

(39:34):
big, big team, big tea, your your boy. Oh, Mickey,
you're also fine, You're also fine. You blow my mind. He's
been relegated to the bench after beingclose to our best and he's last out.
And do you think he's a littlehard done by? I don't think
he's a little hard done by BlakeGlorie's back. Blake Glorie doesn't a lot
of work. You'll probably play aboutthe same amount of minutes as have Plaid

(39:54):
anyway, he played fifty one againstSouth, so well they'll both play around
himbout the same amount of minutes.I'd say, Um, yeah, yeah,
no, I don't think you haddone by Blake. Glories our number
one prop um arguably Jack Jack Debellonis number one prop as well. But

(40:15):
Jack de Bellon's back to his numberthird eight now, so I think he's
a better lock, easy out,a better lock anyway. Um yeah,
no, Mikey Marlow, he's stillin the side. He's staying the side.
Um, and yeah, you're playingthe same amount of mints anyway.
Yeah, yeah, I hope you'reright because my big concern with with with

(40:38):
Marla was is with Michael Marlow? Is that he's not an impact buyer.
I would have thought Frankie's a betterimpact player coming off the bench. Where
is Michael's more of a sort ofwork right kind of player as we saw
the other week, he gets froma mountain or work If you give him
the minus, you would have ohbut all these days? Yeah, I

(40:59):
guess the question there would be ifyou've got Michael Marlow and Blake Lawrie,
you've got two two relatively undersized frontrollers, don't you. So he's probably
a third or fourth best made moreYeah now, yeah, curs done.
He's up in I'm in here probablyour third best, third best rower in
the side. You had your endup there. Actually, I was just

(41:22):
going on what Rob said before.Um So. The last captain to ask
for a release from his club wasAdam Reynold's Souths. So Souths a couple
of years ago. As you know, they they were only offering him a
one year extension and the Brisbane Broncohas offered him a three year, three
or four year contract, I thinkit was. So he asked Souths for

(41:44):
a release and then yeah, hejoined the broadcasts. He wanted. He
wanted more security. Souths wouldn't giveit, give him more than a one
year contract, so he wanted out. Well you go all right, Jesse,
I am. I've kept this questionback specifically for you because I know
you're more excited than anyone for Jackde Bellan's two hundred game. Two hundred

(42:07):
games. It's it's okay, butit's it's not that big of an achievement
I think in the modern game.I tell us why you think it is
for Jack, Well, it's probablybecause he's he's had three years out of
the game. He's he's had heprobably had sports whether he'd reached two hundred
games, like whether he get there, but he's done well. I think

(42:28):
he's banned his form again that I'mum what all we know and love him
for his defense has been outstanding thisyear. I think he's one been one
of our better players this year.Um missed the first month for the Comfort,
he's really made his mark ever sinceand was rewarded with the captaincy against
the Dolphins a few weeks ago.Um yeah, Um, he's had a

(42:50):
great career and he's he recently justUm said he's passion for the club.
And he wants to play on againnext year and potentially the year after.
He wants to be a one clubplayer. He debuted, as I said,
he debuted back in twenty eleven, being through our pathways. Um was
the Holden Cup Player of the ebackman Um And yeah, he's he's always

(43:13):
been known for his rock solid defenseand yeah, free he's out of the
game. It might have been aquestion of who, whether he would make
it, whether he'd be back atall playing in the NRL. But yeah,
Um, back in twenty twenty onewhen he was first allowed to come
back, he was a bit rusty, but now now he's found his full
fitness and yeah, he's really startingto play the football we know he can

(43:36):
and that's what we love him for. And yeah, it's going to be
a great achievement. And what betterway to celebrate his UM two unders game
in front of his home fans atWin Stadium up froday. Um, well,
I think he should be at leasthe should Um. If he's not,
he should at least lead the teamout for this um milestone achievement in
his career. And the club hassomething big planned for it too. Touched

(44:00):
on that a little bit later.Um, yeah, but it should be
a good, good occasion. Someoneactually said on listening to the radio this
morning, someone actually suggested that I'mwith the starg with someone should push the
celebrations back to next West game atSharp Park. But I don't think you'll
get any dragons. You won't getmany dragon supporters at Sharp Park. He

(44:20):
deserves to celebrate this big achievement infront of the home fans at wind Stadium.
No Animal Park, Please, itshould be more dragons fans at Shark
Park than sharks. Keep them outof there, like like bloody Kick does
out of our home ground for acouple of ease, but bucking them.
I'm looking forward to that one.Always love a local local derby. But

(44:43):
Rob moving on now, Jack Birdreturns talking about the other Jack looking for
a pure opinion here. Obviously wedon't have any inside scoop on this.
But do you do you buy theclubs of visual word that he was injured
and missed two weeks with knee soreness, or do you think there's some other

(45:06):
reason why why he hasn't made playingI do and I don't. So that's
Arthur and Martha doing. Um thereason Why I say it is I've seen
Jack in Crena over the time whenhe's been injured and he's bloody at the
ice cream plays the Carnal getting anice cream in movie Freely, So do
you look too injured for me?In the past? Ice creams too?

(45:31):
He's saying that, mate. Here, I don't know. There's been a
few penalties obviously on the field, given away, indiscretions, etc. So
I don't know whether that's the clubin the way sort of saying that.
Jack. Listen, you're going you'reout for a couple of weeks. We're

(45:52):
not going to put you in yourSouth Wall's Cup, but you know we're
going to say you're injured. Justa get your head around it, come
back. We don't want all thesebloody penalties, all this going on with
the referee and all that. ButI can't be sure, Donnie at the
end of the day. So whatdo you believe? And you know who

(46:13):
do you believe? But look,he's in. He's in the team this
weekend for Jack's two hundredth so bloodyrun straight Jack Bird, Yeah the crab.
Yeah, I got the time ona treadmill and keep them on there
and so you can run straight. But look, yeah, Donnie, I
don't know, mate, that's ahard one. Mate. You could be

(46:34):
either way right end of the day. As I say, it's it's a
pure opinion. What what is itthat you you think? And I think
it comes down to it who youyou are more than more than who Jack
Bird is. I think the conspiracytheorists, they always think there's a conspiracy.
They always think that there's there's somethingmore going on at the club,

(46:55):
aren't telling I think he you know, I intentionally naive. I don't mind
being naive. It's a good wayto live. You sort of believe the
things that I told you, andyou're you're happy about it. So now
I think Jack de Bellan had hadknee saunus. I think he's had knee
issues a lot in the past, and and he missed a couple of weeks
to make sure that it was right. So yeah, Bird, that's what

(47:21):
I mean. Yeah, you youhate the clubs of the straight narrata?
Right? Yeah, yeah, Wellagain, I think the language that the
car used when when it first happenedwas a little a little strange that and
I think that gave people the ideathat there was something more going on,

(47:42):
But yeah, I think yeah,as I say, Birds had a lot
of knee injuries and stuff in thepast and they're just being rather conservative with
it, so I don't I don'tthink there's anything untoward going on, and
it's good to see him back inthe team. I personally don't like him
as a second roller because I thinkhe plays a lot straighter, a lot
more direct when he plays in themiddle. But yeah, a lot of

(48:04):
we don't have a lot of optionsor depth in the second row, so
um, all right, mother BenMurdoch. Massilla has probably been a little
disappointing, to be honest, overthe last little while. I thought he
started the season okay, but Ithink the last sort of month two months
has been pretty poor. But he'skept his spot on the bench. Do

(48:29):
you think he's lucky to still havehis spot in this seven name? Yeah,
I think he's very lucky. Actually, like he stayed. I think
he did start off the season quitewell, and he was greater than a
little bit of impact off the benchwhen he first came in. But you're
going to blow excuse me, you'regoing to vote playing eighty minutes having seven

(48:52):
runs for you know he's sixty oddmeters or something in eight minutes of putty
that just the front row, secondrow or even any four that's just unacceptable.
Um, he's done it the lastcouple of weeks. I think you
amos than seven times in eighty eightyminutes, and I think the week before
maybe five runs in forty minutes anda half the game. So and I

(49:15):
mean one of those runs that he'smaking, like, he's making sixty meters
fifty of those of post contact,so he can he can do a job.
But yeah, it's certainly been very, very quiet. And I think
Jaden Hunt probably another one who waslucky to be in the side still in
the eighteen or the extended bench, but I certainly would have young Couchman in
there giving him a go and justletting him bloody ruppan tear. Yeah,

(49:40):
yeah, no, I think thatagain, there's there's there's a few other
options that have gone gone all rightin the lower grades that might be worth
giving them a bit of a look. Given given how Ben Word Mascilla has
been playing, I don't know thathe's even when he's got being dropped back
to reserve grade, I don't knowthat he's that he's ru he stood up
to demand that that spot in thestarting side. I don't think he's been

(50:06):
a standout when he has gone backto reserve grade. Even so, I
think he's very lucky to be inthe seven, a very lucky to be
getting picked every week. But hat'sman. I've noticed a bit of a
pattern. Toby Couchman scores his firstNRL try and he's dropped the following week.
Toby Couchman scores his second NRL tryand he's dropped the following week.

(50:31):
Jaden Hunt scores his first NRL tryand he's dropped the following game. Do
you think that the Dragons young forwardsneed to learn their lesson and stop scoring
bloody tries? The cluching Couches clearlydon't like it. Well, I mean,

(50:51):
how young's young? I mean Idon't recall Black Laurie, who had
met at least twenty six say,not exactly young. I don't remember him
getting dropped after scoring his first trial, probably because he're talking ninety one games
to do it. Um, Butmy god, I wouldn't be surprised if
or I'd be surprised if Billy Burnsever scores a try to be honest,

(51:12):
but if he would have if youwere to get a trying, Narella guarantee
you he gets dropped the following week, but it'd had nothing to do with
scoring a try. Yeah, well, I guess that's is that kind of
similar with with Jayden Hunt. Imean, I think Muzzer sort of brought
it up there that he that he'slucky to even be in the twenty two,

(51:37):
let alone the seven, despite thefact that he scored a try and
probably played his best game for theclub in that game against House. Yeah,
we can't have these young blake showingthe old Blakes up a big tee
looking at that extended advance. JadenHunt moses them by Max feine I,

(51:58):
Toby Couchman and the great Billy Burns. Uh do you see any late changes
from car and there are we fourkick off now? I don't think so.
Um, maybe you could do aMaxi maxi for a medi I don't
know. Um, I got havewritten down here memby maybe currently Hunt don't

(52:20):
play Um I'm on now coming onto the into the six and Simon or
play seven and by to to fourteen? Who knows? Um Jade and hunt't,
like you were saying, he scohis first tries gone. I don't
think they like the forward scoring whatyou were saying, and they would rather
the backscore tries. So yeah,I don't think there'd be any change in

(52:44):
the Magnets that Billy Burns had anothergreat, great reserve grade game, but
he scored another a couple of triesand ran for a million vers um.
But it doesn't doesn't transfer in thefirst grade. Um, he's there.
I don't think they'll be used.I think it will be any changes except
for Hunt maybe not playing. Idon't think. I don't think I will
play. That's my opinion. Um, I don't think I will play another

(53:07):
game for the Dragons. Um.I missed out on the Sunday having my
say, but I know he won'tplay on Friday, he won't play.
Yeah, yeah, no, Ithink there's a lot of people are saying
the same things. I just can'tsee how and how can he possibly run
out as the captain, How possiblylead the team that you said you don't

(53:30):
want to be a part of it. Yeah. Look, if he comes
out and as a shocker, he'sgoing to be, he'll be bashed.
Um Yeah, no, I don'tthink he plays Sorry, sorry people,
Yeah, no, yeah, Iagree with everything he said. I think
if Billy Burns was given three orfour games in a row and the top

(53:51):
grade in the second row, Ithink I think he'd prove a few people
wrong. Apart from the fact hedrops a few balls. Uh yeah,
you know, even his last gamehe dropped the wall four times, but
still raining for the most meters. If he caught those four balls, he
probably runs for about that two hundredmeters in that game, and he gets
the award. Is the best playerin the entire and our all for that

(54:13):
weekend, right, But he diddrop him, so he was ship.
So you know, how hard isit to hold on a war Surely you
can teach your guy how to holdonto the football and not drop it.
That's that's about the only thing heneeds to line. They're getting paid thousands
of dollars to do it. Yeah. Anyway, let's let's have a look

(54:37):
at reserve grade because that went prettywell on the weekend. So let's let's
have a bit of a look atthe highlights. Andrew brew same brow say,

(56:54):
yeah, so the resounding wind forthe for the yards, the New
South Wales coup to in there.Sioning finale on the wing was outstanding,
ran for about two hundred and seventyyard meters, scored a couple of tries
and set up another one for trayStewart. Zach Herring was outstanding as well.
Scored, scored a try and hadfour try assists, so he's going

(57:19):
really well and showed some some fantasticfootwork after a laid off flow there from
from Alec tour de Ark. TraySteward heavily involved as well, over two
hundred running meters and set up acouple of tries a couple of line breaks.
The last try that he did setup for zach Herring I think he
definitely could have scored himself or Idon't know why he passed it to Hearing
there. But it was a reallygood win forty six to four over the

(57:43):
Magpies, and yeah, they haven'thad a lot of success in New South
Wales Cup, so good to seehim going well. And the Couchman boys
were the standouts in the forwards.I know Billy Burne scored two tries in
four minutes, but I still thinkthat the Couchman brothers, Toby probably getting
the better of Ryan this time around. Ran for over one hundred and fifty

(58:04):
meters starting in the front row, which I think he'll be doing in the
NRL side before too long. I'dbe having it working towards Toby Couchman being
your starting front row from next year. The way that the way that he's
going in the way that he's progressing, all right. Jesse another player that

(58:24):
not too many people all know toomuch about, heating into the nrrol w
season now. I don't know howto exactly pronounce the name, but alexis
Torny a close enough, close enough, so picked for She's obviously won a
couple of awards over the last littlewhile that you'll tell us about. But

(58:45):
picked in the new South Wales Women'sunder the nineteens side to be played the
Thursday after Origin three in Ridcliffe.Yeah that's right. So yeah. She
was awarded Tusco Cup Player of theYears. Has been playing with the ball
Logs because of her impressive form inthat she was graduated to the Harvy Norman

(59:05):
Premiership side, which is the wellthe same competition that the yelo Ora Steelers
played earlier this year. The Bulldogsmade it all the way to their Grand
final. And she've got recently gotplayer of the Carnival at the National Championships
up there on the Gold Coast.Um. Yes, and yet um in
my chapter of her manager last week, John for Dell, she's printing a

(59:28):
bright future for her. He's gothigh hopes for her. I think she
will be the player to watch forat her on w side this year.
Um. He actually thinks that bythe end of next year she will be
playing for her country. Um inopen side. That's how that's how high
um um. The expectation is onher. She's actually got young sisters as

(59:52):
well back over there in New Zealand. So and that there there, there's
there's a big future on them aswell. Um now Alexius twenty eight.
Yeah, she's going to be abright future and yeah she'll be um.
Yeah, she's only eighteen two,so she's gonna she's gonna take the world
by storm. She's only she's onlybeen playing league for a couple of years.

(01:00:13):
He's only breathed. Channey moved tofrom New Zealand in twenty twenty one.
I think it was a twenty two. She's been playing in Queensland.
Um, and what's picked up bythe Bullows at the start of this year.
And yeah, um already making thisnew stat files under down nineteenth side.
Um. There, there's big expectationson her and I think, yeah,

(01:00:34):
hopefully she get us get a crackin the center of w side because
it's a very young side. Butif we've picked up a very handy acquisition
there, and yeah, I'm lookingforward to seeing how she falls up.
Actually I've got I will go througha little bit of a um, I've
got a little bit of it umcaption of it um Alexis and there's more.

(01:00:54):
Um. If you check my JohnFidel chat as well, you'll hear
John on chat going to depth abouther. What to expect of Alexis.
Yeah, as I said, she'sgot high hopes of that. So she's
been signed as a front rush. She's a front rower. In twenty twenty
one, she was awarded the CollegeWellington Sport College Rugby League Player of the

(01:01:20):
Year and gaining selection for she wonMost Valuable Player in the tournament in Wellington
as well. She was made theUpper Central Stallion's Rugby League Under Radiance Team
and Under eighteen Samoan team, whichcompeted in the Pacific New Coup. In
twenty twenty one, she was namedmost Valuable Player in New Zealand Under eighteen

(01:01:44):
rugby league's club team, which defeatedNew Zealand Secondary School's fifty n October last
year. And she was also hada rugby background as well. She represented
Samoan Barbarians at the World School seventhin a couple of years ago as well
Under eighteen Girl Rugby Player of theYear, captain of the one Eyamata High

(01:02:05):
School women's rugby team and one mostValuable Player of the Year there as well.
But yeah, she has she hasn'tbeen league a long time, but
she's won with these awards she's won. She's got a big future in the
game and I'm looking forward to seeingher pull on the red V. Yeah.
I think for people that that don'tfollow the lower grades that Tasha gal

(01:02:28):
under nineteens women's comp is a reallygood, strong compass. It's the best
women's under nineteens competition in the worldand she won the best player in that
that entire tournament. So she's gota got a huge future ahead of her
and looking forward to seeing seeing herin red and white a bit later and
obviously playing the New South Wales sideas well for the under nineteens before Origin

(01:02:54):
three. So definitely something for itfor Dragons fans to be looking forward to.
And definitely I do want to addon to that too here. Alexis
actually had a number of clubs chasingher signature, but with the connection obviously
that um John has to Jamie Soward, Um um yeah John told her how

(01:03:20):
good. M John told Soward howgood he is and he's going to be
a special player, and yeah,um John ended up planning her contact of
the Dragons. I think that's that'sthe exciting thing for for Dragon's fans heading
into this NRLW season is that there'sso many really talented players that that we
don't know too much about, thathaven't haven't been seen in the NRLW before,

(01:03:43):
And that's the beauty of the expansionis that we get to see this
talent get get showcased on on abig stage. So so looking forward to
that starting. It's just over amonth away from from Round one in the
NRLW, and I'm sure over thenext four weeks or so we'll start to
talk a bit more about about thewomen's game. But staying with the lower

(01:04:05):
grades this week split all over theplace at this weekend obviously that the Dragons
play in Wollongong and the New SouthWales Cops Cup side strangely heading over the
Dutch to New Zealand to take onthe Warriors. So you would have thought
that they would have given we playNew Zealand in New Zealand later on in

(01:04:26):
the year that maybe we were playedover in New Zealand then for New South
Bals Cup and played at home thistime around, but they haven't lined it
up that way, so that theNew South Wales Cup side will be over
in New Zealand, which which doesmean that there will be a couple of
players will probably miss out on playingall together. The Jersey Fleet side they
hit down Mexico Way to take onthe Storm as well, so they're in.

(01:04:51):
They're all over the place this weekendfor the lower grades or for all
the grades of the Dragons, butin the extended nur all side not named
for the trip to New Zealand isBilly Billy Burns, Moses and By and
Jaden Hunt, so you'd expect thatthey will either not play at all this

(01:05:11):
weekend or though with the only playersthat could be late inclusions, which I
mean it's a little disappointing that TobyCouchman isn't one of those players been considered
to be a late inclusion because Idon't know what the kid's done wrong.
Yeah, I think he's earned anotheranother crack at the top grade. And
with Josh Kerr going, I wouldhave thought he would have been the perfect

(01:05:32):
man to bring back into his side, but alas it's not to be.
But Jesse, you sort of broughtup Alec too, Debaker who's come over
from Manly at twenty two year oldwith a big future, just coming back
from a knee injury and knee reconstruction, so not just any old knee injury.
He's got his first start this weekendin the New South Wales Cup,
so an opportunity may be him toplay bigger minutes and really put up some

(01:05:56):
big numbers and show what he cando as a starter. Yeah, definitely,
Like as you said in the chapel, probably Planning wants to see him
get a chance in the starting side, get some big minutes into his legs,
get his obviously as an opportunity inthat side. As all these performances
of late and yeah, goold begood to see getting him a opportunity and

(01:06:17):
hopefully if he impresses, he canbe knocking on the door for a spot
in first grade and we may seehim at an inn our our debut before
the end of the year. Andthey did notice two Nobili Army the feeder
has he got an injury or something, you know, No tow Town over
either. So there's a couple ofplayers that I obviously didn't get to see
the game last week. I've onlyseen the highlights, and yeah, I'm

(01:06:41):
not sure I'm getting you can onlyassume there has been some sort of injury
or you know, some other reasonwhy they couldn't go to New Zealand for
for whatever reason this weekend. Butyeah, neither of those two named in
that that spot. Maybe they'll belate inclusions, but of course we'll see
how that that plays out, allright. I want to move into it
to a segment that's been sort ofsemi regular on the show, Coco's Clashes.

(01:07:05):
Now, I know Coco is nondenied and I've been a bit slack
in making this a more regular segment, but I want to structure it a
bit different to sort of randomly talkingabout players that are opposing one another.
What I want to do is highlightone clash that you think the Dragons will

(01:07:26):
dominate, one where you think thewarriors are going to dominate, and one
that looks about even on paper thatcould decide the game. I'll start with
with you, you Jesse, what'sa clash that you think the Dragons win
comfortably on paper? I would sayon the wings up against Montoya, I

(01:07:48):
think rather La has got his sizeone toy is not the greatest defender um
if I'm not sure if they're onthe same side of the park, I'm
not too sure, but I thinkI think Revelo was going to be marking
d dub Okay So rub Um soMaddie Fee I's got okay Um. Actually,

(01:08:12):
I think I think Bud and LukeMetcalf actually is pretty even matchup.
I think Bud the exciting young classas Metcalf, I've seen him come through
the system at Cronalla Um he's anexciting young player as his Bud, So
I think they may have played itagainst each other. Comes through the junior
ranks as well, So I thinkthat's going to be exciting about up there
are two players of the future andI think, yeah, that's going to

(01:08:35):
be an exciting battle, could becrucial to ever comes out on top as
well. Yeah, our main manwhen it comes to to Lava Greats Food
he is Stephen Bates and he's justput in the chat to tow Motors missing
the game due to personal reasons.Dylan Egan's out with an injury and Billy

(01:08:56):
Army is that there's there's a goodchance that he's actually going to play in
that game. So um, that'sthe feedback that we've got there on the
chat. And Bates, he's aguy that gets along and watches watches all
these games. He goes and watchesmore lower grades and he watches in our
Royal footy. So he's a blokethat you certainly listened to when it comes
to the lower grades. But forme, that the matchup where I think

(01:09:18):
we win is in the centers.I think Moses Suley and Zach Lomax up
against Rocko Berry and Adam Pompey. That's that's probably the one where I think
the Dragons have have a significant edge. But once again, the Dragons probably
haven't used the centers very well thisseason they've been more battering rounds. So
yeah, if we if we canget them early ball isolate them one on

(01:09:41):
one with those guys, I thinkthat's that's a battle where we can can
actually get some some wins. ButRob, where's the match up that you
see the Warriors as the winners andthe player or position where where we will
will need to play out of ourskin to just contain the well warrior is
worrying me answering the question that youwere just saying about in the forwards,

(01:10:03):
because if they're rolling forward and thenand dominating us, Um, that's a
concern. They've got some big boppersand they've got some mungrel forwards as well
too, and they've got has Man'sMan Jackson forward as well too. But
they're big boppers, a big boys, mate, and they can offload the
ball as well too. Then thengame for the key matchups. Um,

(01:10:27):
Terrell, Sloane Child cloths set Um. Yeah, I think it's a big
game for Terrell just to come outand keep on improving. I mean the
House game, I thought he wasoutstanding the stats as well. Back to
him up um yeah, and youknow, keep on going young man.
Um, but obviously against like whatI was saying to the lovely goal we

(01:10:51):
had on for the Warriors. Charleshas been doing very well for the Warriors
this year. So that's going tobe a very interesting matchup. And so
that that that the one you thinkthe Warriors moriors win comfortably that match up
there, No, no, I'mjust going with the forwards, mad,
I worry that the fowards my overParis. I know you're asked pretty individual

(01:11:12):
over an individual. No, I'mI'm quite happy to go go. I
mean, that's not just that theforwards don't over Paris, you know what
I mean. I totally agree withthat, mate. I think that the
one that I think the Warrior isabsolutely killers just through the middle. Yeah,
like I told who Harris, Yeah, I think Frankie Molo, Blake

(01:11:35):
Glarie and Jack de Belloni's two hundredif they've got a hell of a task
standing up to those guys. Ifthey if they can come through that battle
neutral, I think we're that'll goa long way to help us win the
game. But I think the Warriorsdefinitely start massive favorites in that battle through
the middle of the field. DagoDavid Jacob is going to do a lot

(01:11:56):
of work tomorrow Friday, so he'sgonna pro tech hard as well. And
the other matchups. Yeah, look, if Ben Hunt plays, he doesn't
play. I mean fine, saidthat he's going to plays, that's his
information. Yeah, but told hemight be playing hooker. That's what happened,
and I told him was a possibility. It's a possibility that I mean

(01:12:19):
I'm trying to be I mean,if Hunt plays against Sean Johnson, I
mean that's just yeah, I mean, that's that's a that's a great matchup.
Right here, You're still still andmy funder thunder for the next one,
mate, So that's why I wastrying to interrupt you to the next
one, which is Muzzle's question isprobably more pointing towards that that sort of

(01:12:41):
matchup. But Mazza, looking acrossthe field, what's the clash that's worth
the price of admission? That evenmatchup where the winner of the personal battle
could decide the outcome of the match. Oh yeah, look at that one.
Im. I'm thinking that the halves. I think, regardless of whether
Ben Hunt plays or not, Ithink Shawn Johnson, the way he's been

(01:13:04):
playing this year, he's just beenplaying out of his skin. He's been
the backbone. Would be the Warrior'sturnaround in their performance as opposed to last
year and in his own form.Um, if if Ben Hunt plays,
it will be you know, twoof the old heads and whoever comes out
on top of that. If ifBuddy gets the night as Ben Hunts not

(01:13:25):
playing well, then it's, um, you know, a case of master
versus the apprentice or guests, andit's a good time for Buddy to stand
up. But I think that, yeah, I think that John Johnson versus
whoever our heart is. I thinkit's kind of be juicy, I guess.
But and probably the other one you'retalking about. Even matchups, we've
all we forward pack overpowering us.I just think I Adam for Lil Blake

(01:13:47):
had been sma old ahead of anybodyelse with his just his numbers alone.
But Bundy, your foul hasn't hasn'tbeen as impressive. So you know,
that's probably one of the areas thatif we can contain Blake and obviously Karen
but you know, a legal chance. But definitely that's that half back,
regardless of who we play. Ithink that's going to be a ripper.

(01:14:11):
Yeah, That's probably the one ofthe one reason that I thought, I
actually do hope that Ben Hunt plays. I've sort of been of the opinion
that I don't really want to seehim in the Red V ever again,
given the way that he's carried onthis week. But yeah, that that
match up with Shawn Johnson, Ithink that's that's definitely wonder to look forward

(01:14:32):
to. Both old guys, olderguys at the back end of their career,
but both of them in pretty muchthe best form of their lives.
And yeah, I think that's that'san incredible sort of personal battle ift those
two go up against each other, and whoever is a better night. You'd
think, given the tumultuous week thathun't sad and two days after Origin,

(01:14:56):
that Shawn Johnson would once again befavorite. But I think that's a pretty
pretty even sort of battle that couldcould decide the outcome of this game if
they get to go up against eachother. All right, Well, talking
about State of Origin, Jesse, let's chat about the Origin game. Both
teams forced into a few changes.Queensland without Gay Arrow, Selwyn Cobo,

(01:15:19):
Tom Gilbert and Tommy diden have onNew South Wales without Happy chorus out Nathan
Cleary, Niko Hines and Tavita PanguayJunior from Game one? Which team do
you think has made the better decisionsin terms of replacements? Without it out
to say Queensland, Um, havethey lost, They've got a like one

(01:15:42):
replacement. I think they've got astrong I think they've potentially even got a
stronger side. Like David Coats,he's a freak of a try scorer.
Um. Yeah, he's shown hecan handle that level of origin football.
Um. Jeremiah and I've played inthat arena last year comes in through.
I'm Tom Gilbert, he's handled thatarena before too, and Billy Stayed has

(01:16:02):
known he can do a job.And then Milwaukee fight Awaker comes in.
That was a surprise one on thebench. Um, I haven't seen a
lot of Titans game this year, but I thought Corey Horsbury from the Raiders
would have secured a bench spot. He's been unreal for them this year.
I'm very surprised that he didn't geta bench spot there. But yeah,

(01:16:23):
I'm not. I don't like theinclusion of Mitchell Moses at seven. Um,
it's it's it's really a hostile reception. You'll get a Suncorp tomorrow.
You've never played Origin until you playingOrigin at Suncorp. Because it's it's um,
it's it can be a scary siteeven for an Origin debut let alone.
This is where you get found out. Um. Um. He's had

(01:16:45):
he's one chance in the Origin arenabefore a couple of years ago when clearly
went down after the second game. But I hope he hope he does handle
well and step up. But asDaily Truevant said to him last week,
well set in the media that youcan't affect to your nr roll form a
transition knoweded form. It doesn't doesn'ttransition. It's exactly like you've got your

(01:17:10):
it's a big step up in classand you've got to go to that next
level. I'm not sure if MitchellMoses is like that. UM. I
hope he does go well because it'sreally a must win game. We can't
afford the loses, and I thinkwe lose this. Bradforton doesn't have a
job next year. UM. I'mhappy to see. Yes Robson included.
Um obviously a Dragon's junior. Um, good chance for him to show what

(01:17:32):
he's got on the big stage. There's been talked that he may start and
they might blood up Cookie from thebench. Um Treddy hasn't said anything about
that yet. Um. And I'msurprised that he's gone with Stephen Crichton again
after he's done. Yeah, he'sdisappointing Game one. I thought Matt Burton
at least should have had a crackor even Campbell Graham. But again he's

(01:17:55):
gone with Crichton. Latrell Mitchell anotherbig loss. And I would have gone
with Campbell Gryme. Yeah, Idon't know what he's what he's done wrong.
I think he's been the best centerin the nr OLD this year and
he's gone with Stephen Crichton and umyeah, Um, it's surprised too.
You tr command Who is it?How do you pronounce it? You twit?

(01:18:17):
Your commando? Pretty close? Yeah, he's probably the I think Gus
admitted last week. He's probably thebiggest Bolta. He's a first selected maybe
twenty years like that's a left fieldselection. I'll skip the next four questions
because you've answered all of them.Um. Yeah, I was very surprised

(01:18:38):
at that one, and I hopethat um yeah, um, I think
if if any so fars have anychance to win, they must start well
because if Queensland get a couple oftries on the board, we won't come
close to him. Yeah, I'llask the next couple of questions anyway,
even even though Jesse has pretty muchgone through it, but that rob the

(01:18:59):
biggest all was over who should havebeen the seven with making clearly out the
selectors have gone with Mitch Moses ina must win game in a hostile environment.
Is Moses the right man for thejob? I mean, yeah,
look, it's a hard one becauseobviously he's at a crack the fall.

(01:19:20):
It's a cauldron again too, rightplaying at some call um. I mean
I was listening to I can't rememberwho it was. It was, well,
he's Billy Slate obviously. The coachat Queensland was saying he's watched spoiling
events around the world and when yougot to pack some corp staying in the

(01:19:41):
Stay of Origin, it's it's justa cauldron. It's you know, it's
like it's just unbelievable. The fansare behind you and all that. So
for Moses, um, yeah,I worry for him that you know,
he might get nervous, you know, it might be too much room at
all and all that. But he'ssaying that. I think his hooker is

(01:20:04):
that he's got in Cookie and inRhees Robson very fast out of w half.
So if they can get the forwardsmoving forward, that will be a
big help to Mitchell to do hismagic. And if that happens, um,
we're all chance in the game. But I just hope obviously the atmosphere,

(01:20:27):
I don't know if they still gopast the Kacson on the bast and
all that on the way sort ofstuff. It's a big bloody step up,
mate. They have stopped doing that, I hope back well, they
stopped it for a few I don'tknow if they're going to start doing it
again, but they stopped doing it. They can't. They've got to do
it like that's a rite of passageteams. That's correct. And the only

(01:20:56):
thing I'd say, mate, whetheror not they should have looked at an
Adam red Um, you know, for the experience or whatever. But I
guess the future is the future, right, like what we're talking about Bud
Sullivan and the drains, Um,you know you're gonna go to your future.
Um. But yeah, I justI just hope him, pray for
Mazes that it won't be too overwhelmingfor him and he can play some of

(01:21:17):
the great foot he's been playing fromparam Um. So fingers crossed me at
the end of the day, andof course wishing the best in New South
well as the best of course.Yeah, I know a big tells a
Queenslander, so I'm not going tolet him talk on the topic. But
I think he has he has described, you have described Mitch Mogens is the

(01:21:43):
most complete half back in the company. Think he is, Yes, he
is. Um, I don't thinkhe's quite as good as Nathan Cleary,
but he's got everything. He's gothis kick, he's got his his long
passes, he's got his grothers,he's got he can run as a quick
kid um and he's just signed upmultimillion dollar contract with Paramatic. Yeah,

(01:22:04):
no, he's he is a veryvery good player. But yeah, I
personally would have stuck with Niko Hins. But and that sort of brings us
to it's a quartering to put himin straight into sun Corp. Wow,
what what's he's the best player inthe comp's He's won, he's won the

(01:22:24):
Daly m he's won the daly M. He's just about leading the dahly M.
He plays, plays one bad gameand all of a sudden, odd,
you're not on the team at all, Like, I don't know,
that's that's that's probably the next question. Bunds Nikko Hins current daly M medal
winner, right up there near thetop players in the camp again this year.
He was in the team for gameone, didn't get a lot of

(01:22:45):
time as a utility, but allof a sudden being dumped all together from
game two. Do you think thisis a fair call or do you think
it's a bit rough on him?Yeah? I think it's another one where
everybody's going to be divided over theirthoughts about it. I for one,
I think I think they've gone withthe right the right choice, to be
honest, Niko, I think evenif it did only come down to that

(01:23:10):
one game on the last weekend beforethe before the selection, um, you
know, yeah, everyone's saying Mosesplayed against the Bulldogs and Nikol Hayes had
to play against the Storm, butyou know, yeah, yeah, yeah,
the shocker, But it isn't thatwhat we're asking him to do against
the gun sides to be the theLynchman, you know, to be the

(01:23:32):
one to standout. You know youcan't do that and club put it against
the top eight side and the Sharksthat we all know have really struggled against
top eight sides the last couple ofyears. Um. Yeah, I think
Niko he'd be worried a little bitmore about his game than he did his
fricking hair. I think he gota little bit better, to be honest,
but always doing this with his hair. I might be bit jealous that

(01:23:55):
I've got numbered Yeah, look, yeah, yeah, I just think that
you know, Moses has been thereand two people even told him about his
last game. But yeah, heplayed played a last Origin game with an
injury for most of the game, stuff a couple of tries and was solid.
But yeah, I'm not unhappy thathe's picked Moses. But it'll be

(01:24:18):
divided. Yeah, I don't havea problem with Mitch Moses being picked.
I just personally would have gone withwith Nikko Hines. I think he's the
guy that actually brings something different.I think that everyone else plays in exactly
the same sort of way I thinkMitch Moses plays. He's going to play

(01:24:40):
in a similar way to Nathan Clearyand I guess that's a that's a straight
swap. But we lost the lastgame, we lost the last series.
Niko Hins is the guy that playsin a completely different way. Yes,
big team. Yeah, I'm tryingto say that. Well one of the
last five game tis there? WeYeah, that's that's a good step.

(01:25:00):
And won the past thirteen sixteen orsomething games in Queensland, so well,
I think there's any what where NewSouth Wales come back from one nil down
one Queensland and then won the seriesfive, correct, Mane, Yeah,

(01:25:25):
you win the Mad Dragons trivia.Thank you. Actually they said the last
time we won game two in Brisbaneafter losing game one was nineteen ninety eight.
Yeah, five years ago. Ithink Rob Wishart was in that side
as well. So as not totalk about here, because four of us

(01:25:46):
on this panel now looked like HomerSimpson one good. We enjoy our here,
don't we. Donny Well splatted absolutelywhen when you when you've got it,
flawn it she Beard getting there gettingtheir Donnie you'll catch me much that

(01:26:15):
has man again. Jesse kind ofalluded to this already, but the big
bolter in the Blues squad is asStefano, you doey aman, who will
you surprise? Yea that the youngTiger got the core from Freddy very much?
So I haven't seen much of them, to be perfectly honest, I
mean I don't. I mean Freddie, I don't. I don't really rate

(01:26:39):
Freddy Zoom. I didn't. BlakeLaurie has more average meters per game than
than than Steff. So that givesyou a bit of an indication. Don't
bloody tell me tell Freddy? Actually, no, no, dope, we
need him. Um now look up. I haven't seen much of the funnest.
I can't really speak intelligently. He'sexactly how good he is? Um

(01:27:02):
something that, Um look up Freddiekuld pick absolutely anyone and I'd be surprised,
but it wouldn't be entirely shocked.Well, he's an absolute bloody mad
professor. When it comes to AaronWood's late inclusion, you're not not even

(01:27:23):
Woods. Who's who's Jackson fought eligiblefor? He's a blue, He's a
during gong boy. Right, Well, maybe maybe maybe you can pick him
there Like late late inclusion pretty prettyinclusion. Just on a personal note,

(01:27:45):
I think Stefano is actually the firstplayer that I've called in a game live
that that that I think has everplayed. Start of origin. I called
him playing SG ball against the WestCoast Pirates when he was playing for Parramatta.
He was an absolute unit back then, as you could us as you

(01:28:06):
could imagine, he was a hugehuman and the poor old boys from Western
Australia they couldn't tackle him. Theyhad a real hard time against him.
I thought he did have a bigfuture, but I certainly am very shocked
to see him picked for the Bluesin this game. All right, big

(01:28:27):
team. We've talked a lot aboutthe new Toath wild squad and that's because
the Queensland scored stinks and they're allgrub grubs, aren't they stink? Boys?
Come on, they're a good teams. I do have to admit that
there's a few grubs in the sideand Queensland. Queensland have been a renowned

(01:28:50):
for their for their grub grubs. But coats Forcabo was a like for like
trade, like for like, mayfight away, run on the bench.
That's a I think that's a goodinclusions A. He's a good player,
good playing for the Titans. UmI would have liked to seeing Corey get
a run. Be Corey Halls browwill be read. Um. I do

(01:29:13):
like him and I've helped like before. He's got passion, He's like,
he loves the game. He lovesto play hard. Um and he's been
doing it for camera. So Iwould have liked to see him start.
He'd look good in the red V, I think, so he won't have
to keep an eye on him alongwith along with my mate Teeno fast Malawi.
Um, he should be in thered V too. So um,

(01:29:35):
yeah, they've got class all overthe field. Um. And later on
I'll tell you my predictions for thatgame. Yeah, we definitely will get
into that. And and Brendan dailyhe refers to them as that ship brown
team. So so basically, okay, I'll take all of them. Bring

(01:29:57):
it on, Bring it on,Come on, marone. That's kind of
like when you when you go tothe go to the toilet and you've had
a little bit of beetroot or portor port. Yeah, but all I've
got to say is please, hWell, I hope the Blues can can

(01:30:19):
level the series. That all right, Jesse. This one wasn't on the
original agenda, but there was somebodyput it in the comments and I thought
I'd chuck it on the on theend both Scott has has joined Jamie Saurs
nrl W coaching staff. That's that'scertainly put a bit of a smile on
a few people's faces to see,you know, the protector rejoined Jamie Saud

(01:30:44):
and the coaching staff or inn RLW. Yeah, um yeah, it's good
to see he's getting some old boysback and he's actually been mentoring one of
the one of our girls, actually, Macy Carliles both picked and products.
Um. Obviously he was known forhis great defense. No one will get
past him. And hopefully he caninstill this into these young girls because m

(01:31:08):
yeah, they'll have a lot ofexperience and big girls heading their way as
well. So yeah, and forthem to learn off one of the best
defensive back rolls I've ever seen,um and um yeah, to have him
in that on that side and teachthese girls how to stand up and really

(01:31:29):
defend their own line and stay inposition and do that against these more experienced
sides, I think that's going tobe great. And um, it's good
to say that sow it's getting umyeah, these sorts of people and hopefully
he can um yeah, um teachthem, be a good mentor for them,
these girls and show them how tobe strong and very resilient defenders.

(01:31:53):
Because yeah, as I said,a lot of young girls in this side,
I'll need to do that against theseare more experienced and bigger girls in
the games ahead this season. Yeah, I think Buzzer might need to create
AMULDI I don't know if he's quitegot one yet, So I'll let you
loose on that women's state of origin, Jess while you're going, because I

(01:32:15):
know you wanted to bring that up. Yeah. So it's m again,
like like the like the Men's Tomorrownight, it's must win for the Blues
on Thursday night they had the townshillthe game too. Well, not just
must win, they've got to winby a certain margin. So they've got
to win by nine or four.Um. So coach of the Blues Kylie
Hiller has made a couple of changes. So um too. She goes to

(01:32:40):
a pre position of five eight,so she will partner Jesse Southwall in behalfs
your favorite player has made right.Rachel Pearson has been dropped from the side.
Surprisingly, what's what sort of aserious and my favorite player has named
picked either Yeah. Yes, intothat a little later. Um, Isabel

(01:33:01):
Kelly's been cleared the player after copyingthe old way to the throat in game
one. So she's being given theYork clear by the nerologist and that's that's
remarkable. Um, that's great tosee her back on the field. Looking
forward the CEO play's Um, shewas a big loss when we lost her
in game one. So she's avery dynamic player. And yes, Um,
I think she's like sort of likeTroll Mitchell of the women's game.

(01:33:24):
She's very dynamic, very hard tostop when she's in form Um. And
it sees Jess, so just goback to the centers as well with um.
When Tiana Pennatani was ruled out aheadof game one, Um, um,
so Jess just goes back to thecenters. I'm excited to see Jesse
Safford player in the half back. She's an exciting game player. I sort

(01:33:45):
of didn't think they got on wellsouth on hears some two half backs on
the halves. I don't think thatever works. Um. Yeah, I
think that that's going to be Um, that's going to be more natural.
Foo. He's a more Um.She likes to get her hands on the
ball. She's a good runner ofthe ball and she prefers playing fibates.
I see that as a good combination. Dooe just focuses on running the ball

(01:34:08):
and doing what her strengths are andJesse sapok and just kick and do what
she does best as well. Anda big inclusion of all the Blues as
well was Semima Tower. She wasshe did not play in the first game.
She had a shoulder and do shesuffered in the Harmy Norman Premiership.
But she's a big inclusion. She'swhat a manly one of the first picked
in the Blue side, so sheallowed a lot of punch into the forward

(01:34:29):
pack. Um. Queensland have lostJulia Robinson so she would suspend for that
elbow to the throat of Isabel Kelly. So China Pillada comes in for her
Origin debut on Queensland have basically keptthe same side that I'm played in game
one. I think the Blues canget it done off. I think I'll
be better for the run. Obviously, Origin one out a lot of errors.

(01:34:50):
They haven't played a lot of topflight football since last year's World Club
so they will talk about potentially playingOrigin through the and through the NALW seasons,
so they have some football in them. Um against these top flight players.
Um, yeah, it's it's it'sit's it's to be expected. They

(01:35:11):
haven't played any football in five orsix months, so yeah, they maybe
should review that as well. Butyeah, I think this this Blue side
is stronger than the first one.I think they can bounce back. I
think I like the inclusion of Taufaand Patani. Penatani had some strike.
Um, Jamie Chapmins was very goodon debut as well. I've scored that

(01:35:33):
leave for the field try, madethat try saving tackle and scored to try
and debut um Emmatonagado was superb aswell. Um, and yeah we'll see.
Yeah, they go the Blues upagainst it and having to chase points,
but hopefully they can get the jobdone in both of the men's and

(01:35:55):
women's I think we all hope that, even big team really hope that Blues
can win. Uh, don't sayanything, all right, we'll get into
the last segment of the night.Mother is ready to go. Let's do
this anyways, Rodney, any bigday a day by a big mouth day

(01:36:43):
Okay, mother is multi for thisweek again, we're still sitting on zero
dollars and that again apologize that's uh, you know it will come and when
it does, it will come big. Um. This week I'm gonna start
to oh, any time try forus, so dropped this down. I
won't have a big win this weekmeet and all my professional tips will Penasini

(01:37:09):
any time Trice score for Parramatta,I was a cargo for the Panthers to
go over any time. I've alsochuck in Jerome's hues for the Storm.
They just score a few Troy there, so he might go over and Corey
oats for the Broncos as at anytime Trice scorer as well. So yeah,

(01:37:30):
hopefully we can finally get one upand get some some some dollars over
for the Family League, which isdone his touch on it just about every
week, the work that they do. Um, and just just real quickly
on that of the Family League there. Obviously we're not making any moody from
here, so there are other waysthat he can support the Family League.
I was talking with MG Dow anight on the Mother's League legends. If

(01:37:55):
anybody's who anybody's missed it, buthe touched on it too that you can
become a member of the Family League. I think twenty twenty five bucks as
little as twenty of twenty five bucksa hear or something and our raffles and
stuff that they run every week. That yeah, yeah, you went two
down and all the week or somethingas well. So yeah, I'm doing
nothing for them with the muffy,So I'm definitely going to sign up and

(01:38:17):
sort of sup brought them that way, so hopefully MULTI gets on get to
win up this week. Yeah,so it is a great cause I've actually
been a member for for quite afew years now. Uh And and yeah,
I was looking to me Kay's Ihad the key ring and all that
sort of stuff on. I don'thave them on meet. But yeah,

(01:38:39):
it's a great organization. Anything youcan do to support them is fantastic.
So yeah, if you can helphelp out in any way then and then
absolutely do so. Um, hopefullyyou do a little bit better than than
muss Multi has for them so far. But as you keep saying, Musu,
we will get a win. Wewe'll get a win at some point

(01:39:00):
and when we do, it'll bea big one. And and yep,
then we'll cut what those big oversized novels he checks for him. Yeah,
when it rains, the pause,it'll it'll come in load and three
you watch. Well, let's hope, so hopefully we can get a get
a couple in a row. Butit definitely I sort of look at the

(01:39:20):
mulbi that you've you've gone for thisweek and it looks every every chance.
Will Penassini has been been in greatform for the Earls. So we talked
about Campbell Graham probably being the bestcenter in the club. Will Penassini's I
think he's flowing well under the radar. He's he's in really really good form
after the Earls. And I thinkthe fact that they're not going to Wells

(01:39:43):
has let that one slip by.But I think he's going really well.
Uh. Targo is always always achance to your own Hughes's he loves to
love when he runs the storm usuallyplayed pretty well and as as you say,
they should score a few tries andand and Corey Oaks definitely an option
to barge over with with your sizeout wide. So um yeah, definitely

(01:40:04):
definitely a chance of getting this oneup. All the type say we just
said that be good to get acouple in a row. I'll be having
to get one in a row thatweek. Let's let's let's get one,
but let's one this season. Idon't want hit in the next season.
Still sitting on duck egg. Itwill come, all right, that's our

(01:40:26):
prediction. Time we'll go through whateveryour predictions are for the game on Friday
night the Dragons against the Warriors, and also tomorrow New South Wales beating Queensland
by how much wrong? He gayUm, I'm just gonna stay before us
start for the ball man of thepanel, Jesse, I notice you have

(01:40:46):
a couple of hat changes there tomake us all jealousy, you know during
the shape. Yeah, yeah,I noticed that. Don't worry. Um
Donnie, sorry to go script drainerson before me um my man, Bud
silent anytime, try scorel H andthen BT you're listening, big t.

(01:41:11):
I think queens Learning in a win, mate, he southis I just I
just don't think Freddie's got the rightteam. So I think queenslea in the
wind. I can't put a scorein it, but I think they're going
to get the chocolates me. SoI'm going to be in discussed. Now
people are going to throw stuff atme. So yeah, so don't worry
beout he hunt people start throwing stuffat me. I was gonna say,

(01:41:33):
I'm gonna boo you out of thanthe fan. They're gonna boo being hunts
diapholical. It's disgraceful, isn't it. When the red you know dragon's gear,
but you know a lot of theblue. But yeah, I just
got that gut feeling. Last yearwe started talking about the start of Origin.
We went to Big T and hestarted talking and I booted him off

(01:41:54):
straight away. So I might dothe same of you. Right now.
Big couldn't get back on after Iput him, so that we don't do
that anymore. Mother, What areyou What are your predictions for Yeah,
i'd say the weekend, but beforethe weekend. Um, but we're just

(01:42:15):
on originally well both okay, um, yeah, look, I just got
to talk with the heart. I'mjust hoping that the Blues will bounce back
and even it up at some callLank Park. It's gonna be a big
job. It's gonna be a toughjob, but you know, we'll we'll
run away with it in the endand the win by four. I reckon

(01:42:36):
um Friday night. Yeah. Look, I'm pretty confident that the boys can
carry on some decent form and Ithink Mannie fin I will We'll score at
any time. And I'm going toput Zack baymaxin again the first time to
score, and I think we'll we'llwin by four as well. Yeah,
four and four. I like him. I like him more than the robs

(01:43:00):
that robs on wash hads man, what are you? What are your prediction?
Mane Right? So we's that withwith ord and I reckon the Anna
roll will basically force the referees togive yourself well as the games that can
go to a decide, because Ilose too much money otherwise, So reckon

(01:43:21):
useel well as by fall. Nowthe game that matters Friday night, I've
picked Jackson forward to score against hisold club, and even funnier than that,
I've also picked a Hunt to scorethe first try and absolutely shut everyone

(01:43:43):
up. Now in terms of themargins, now, I had a bit
of a m I did have abit of sort. There's a bit of
an omen about this one. Um. So I was having a quiet beer
after work with the local on Monday, and just as I was leaving,
I just happened to glance at thetab screen and I noticed that a race.
I don't know if there's a horserace or greyhound or whatever it was

(01:44:09):
m but number eight was Saints byone, So I thought that might be
a bit of an amen. SoI'll go Saints by one. We've Hunt
kicking a golden point field goal.Fantastic Ben Hunt. He's everywhere, He's
everywhere in that big team. Idon't really care what you think, but

(01:44:30):
let us know here he should.Do you care what I think? Because
I'm important, and I told myselfabout every morning I jump up and get
up, look in the mirror andsay, how you doing? Good looking
anyway? Anyway? I reckon I'mDragons With or without Hunt, I'll get
up worries there in six. Yeah, but we've got a bit of a

(01:44:53):
We've won twenty four out of thirtyfour against them, so I think we've
got a bit of a h what'srobbed doing or anyway? Here? Um?
Yeah, but I think I sawa first drive bird anytime, Um,
Dragon's boy, for as everyone elsehas seen fingers crossed, fingers crossed.
I think we can do it.I think we can do it.
But then um, Wednesday night, the game before, I think Queensland buy

(01:45:15):
out thosd um um as Avia Costo score any time man, my man
Tino Fast saw Howie to score thefirst drive Queensland to win by plenty.
Yeah, I told you I didn'tkill what you think, so you won't

(01:45:36):
even want to man if if they'reif the Blues do forces to a decider,
then I'm sure you and I canhave words that would be fantastic.
If Queen's introduced that worlds can winup there, it's going to be a

(01:45:56):
huge, a huge effort to doit. Um, it'll be the biggest
my lay that would be. Ithink he's done. Address change of the
blue shirt a change. I noticedthat, oh they call me, they

(01:46:18):
call me Kylie and might have gota lot of costume changers throughout the show.
But trying to up my game, get some some glitter for next week,
I think. But Jumper on Jesshe's had a few costume changes yet
here as well too. He doesn'tshow he's in Jess. What's your predictions

(01:46:44):
um for Tomorrow night? I thinkI think Queensland is going to clinch the
series. I just don't like theteam Freddy's picked. I think Queensland will
get get us by fourteen. Ithink that the hostile environment is going to
get the better of them these rookies. Like more is the first game at
sun Corps. M Yeah, Ithink Queenslan'll be right up for this.
I'll have the full crowd support, and I think it'll be too much for

(01:47:08):
the Blues. I just hope theBlues can overcome that and just play their
natural game and show us what theycan do. Because it's a do or
die game. But I really hopethe Blues can win. But I think
Queenslan will be too strong at home. As to Friday Nights game, I'll
be at that game too. I'mlooking forward to that one. I'm going
to go Jack de Bella to geta try it and he staged the game.
I think you'll get one in hisbig two hundred. I'm going to

(01:47:31):
go first try. I'm going togo, but I think Bob can get
try at his home ground. Umyeah, and actually I'll throw in a
tip for the women's origin. Ithink New South Wales can get the required
points. I think they will winby ten. I like the inclusion of
I'm Phoi in the halves and Southwell at half back and taf as a
big inclusion as well at Locke.I'm much better side than game one.

(01:47:54):
They disrestracted those players that miss outthis game. But yeah, I think
New Souths going to the chocolates upthere in Townsville. And for the Dragons,
I think the Dragons can get homeby four. I think it'd be
a close one. I think Dragonsby four. Yeah, all right,
big tea, you Brendan Daily wantsto know, how can you be such

(01:48:15):
a good ship bloke. I'll belike mate, um everyone loves me,
everyone hates Mente. Yeah, thanksfor anyway. We'll add to um for
the Blues. The women's game,I'll go Jamie Chapman for the first try

(01:48:35):
and I'll go um fooy for tryat any point. Well, I'll start
with the Dragons. I think theDragons. You know, it's going to
be a tough game in Wollongong, but it's not a venue that the Warriors
like going to. They've only everbeaten Saint George Illawara once in Wollongong.

(01:48:59):
It's something ten or eleven to onein favor of the Dragons, so I
think it's a it's a bit ofa hudo. It's never buy a huge
margin. It's not often buy ahuge margin. I know, big tell
you went through a game earlier thatwas a pretty big, big win for
the Dragons. But usually it's sortof eight to twelve points in that sort
of vicinity. With that in mind, I think the Dragons get the win

(01:49:20):
by six. I think the sizeof the warriors might count against them,
and Jacob Little will split them upthe middle with his speed and he will
score a try at some stage inthis game. So the Dragons to get
home on Friday night and in theState of Origin game, I think you're
all well off the mark. Ithink New South Wales is going to put

(01:49:43):
on an absolute attacking clinic. Queenslandergoing to come out and try and protect
protect this one nil series lead andplay a little bit too Tennedy. New
South Wales are going to take itright up to them. They're going to
dominate from the outset. Tommy Turbois going to score a try. I
think Mitch no is just going toset up a couple that you'll score one
himself and the Blues to win byeighteen. We'll wrap it up there for

(01:50:06):
tonight. I think it's going tobe an absolute ripper tomorrow. I'm looking
forward to that, and I thinkout Friday night will be just as good.
So come on Dragon's fans. FarBaby. One more thing, Jesse.
Jesse's what are you Going? Nextweek is Beanie for Brain Cancer around
