check out the twenty four hour stream at OBN radio
(00:23):
dot com. And do remember we have a twenty four
hour message line or text line that you can reach
out to us at nine three six four six three
two four zero five. And with all of that, Ben
established us jump right in two today's episode, Well, we're
getting closer and closer to the Labor Day classic August
(00:45):
thirtieth can't get here quick enough. Volleyball and soccer will
be well underway by then, and life will begin anew
for the freshman coming in on the heel and all
around college campuses in the United States, and it is
truly truly a glorious time of the year. We are
(01:08):
so pumped up, ready to move forward. At this point,
there's really not a whole lot that you could be discussing.
You can speculate and guests on depth charts and who's this.
Injuries are going to be covered and hidden to the
best of their abilities. Whatever little internal in house sessions
(01:30):
are going on, they're going to be covered in buried.
Teams are going to start downplaying stating that they might
not be where they thought they should have been. So
you're going to get a whole bunch of gainsmanship leading
up to the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
And I'm okay with.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
That because at this point there's nothing else that needs
to be seen. It's about execution. It's about making sure
that we have what we have. And I say we
whatever camp you're representing, whether it's TV Nation, TSU, Grambling,
Southern whomever you may be representing, the shed to stop
(02:07):
and the stables or field, and it's really time to
release and let go and see what you're going to have.
So it's going to be very very interesting. Predictions are
all in hype and who's going to do what, and
that all that stuff is in now it is time
for the rubber to meet the road. I'm truly, truly
(02:30):
curious and a bit concern about how Slag TV is
going to unfold. We know they're going to have some
football games. I'm wondering if they're going to have some
soccer and some volleyball matches to go into the rotation,
But we do know that everything is going to a
(02:51):
lies elf with football piece, and once they get that
part figured out, I'm assuming that there'll be a lot
more content to be available on swag TV. And I'm
truly truly popped up and excited about that, not just
for Prairie but for the Southwestern Athletic Conference as a whole.
I'm always been one to believe that it's it's always
(03:13):
good to stand on your own feet, and it might
take a while, it might even be a struggle, but
it's better to struggle to have your own than to
be at the mercy of someone else. And that's what
I've always seen with the relationship, if that's what you
want to call it, that the conferences have with the
(03:34):
ESPN group as well as what they had with the MIAC.
You know, they're flipping games at wheel inconveniencing our fans,
but you know, for their game, but you know, to
each his own and that will take care of itself
in the long run.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So swag TV, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Let's make it happen as fans and supporters of products
of the side Off Western Athletic Conference, let us do
our part and support that endeavor from start to finish. Now,
there is a memo that was put out from the
conference in regards of the basketball media Day, which is
(04:17):
scheduled for October seventh and October eighth. It's going to
be a Tuesday and a Wednesday. And let me tell you,
I'm feeling this one, and I really really hope that
they do the same thing for football, because as impactful
(04:38):
as Swack Media Day is for football, it's controlled chaos,
but you can get so much more depth and quality
interviews with the coaches and the players, and you can
section it off, you know, whereas not so top heavy.
You can have a balance of what you call your
(04:59):
blue buds, not all on one day, but stagger them out.
And even even if you went East one day and
the West the next day, however, you see fit and
I think that's enough balance to get things going. You know,
you can rotate the years. You can have the East
start off the first year and the second day the
(05:22):
West will come then vice versa. Just flip it back
and forth, or just keep it as one fluid bay.
East on the first day west and the second day
off vice versa. But I'm really hoping that they look
deep into the evolvement if you would, of having swacked
media Day on two days instead of that one day.
(05:44):
But nonetheless, it was announced that basketball will start for
August I'm sorry, not August, but October seventh and eighth,
So that will be some good deal and we'll be
trying to give you all we can for that coverage
here at the open Mic Broadcast Network. Speaking of coverage,
you can participate in perview football coverage here starting August
(06:08):
thirtieth with the Labor Day Classic. Of course, it is
being supported and sponsored by the Prairieview Athletic Club, not
a periview athletic club that's been supporting per Review athletics
since nineteen eighty six. And there's no slowing down, there's
no stopping and there's a great, great partnership not only
that they have with us here at the open Mic,
(06:30):
but the partnership that they have with the Prairieview Athletic Club.
So be sure to give homage and thanks to the
Preview Athletic Club and we thank them for being a
Tier one sponsor with us here at the open Mic
Broadcast Network. Now you would like to be a Tier
one sponsor or just a regular sponsor, we got room
(06:52):
for you. All you to do was reach out to
us at nine three six four six three two four
zero four. The number one is nine three six four
six three two four zero five and it all starts
August thirtieth with the Perrie View A and M University
Pats and the Texas Southern Tigers for the fortieth Annual
(07:14):
Labor Day Classic. Of course, we do want to remind
you of some fall programming that we'll have here at
the open Mic Broadcast Network. We're here from the one
and only Miss Tamika Newman with above the Net and
her volleyball covers throughout the Southwestern Athletic Conference. We'll be
hearing from Coach Heights Northern with after further review, and
(07:36):
of course we're here from the oguru himself, Coach Van
ped Away with all of our Southwestern Athletic Conference coverage
throughout the locker room. So we got a whole lot
and must I dare forget being Jack and I with yeah,
I said it. So we got a full packed action
right here from the open Mic Broadcast Network and would
(07:57):
love you to be a part of it, love you
to share how they can be a part of of course,
going to the website at obnradio dot com with that
twenty four hour stream in rotation for some exclusive interviews
that you're not going to hear on the podcast, you're
not going to hear on the YouTube feed. You're only
going to hear it on that twenty four hour stream,
so be sure to check that out at obnradio dot com.
(08:22):
We're excited about our football coverage from the high school
circuit and we got the Corgan Bulldogs up by the
way of Lufkin, Texas being a part of the team
this season, and we're truly excited about that. Of course,
we're going to have our Wall Bulldog, Royal Falcons, Hempstead Bobcats,
and Rosehill Christian Eagles coverage all season long right here
(08:45):
at the Open Mic Broadcast Network. I am going to
exit stage left for right now. My time is far spread,
but I do thank you guys so much for joining
in with us.

you on the other side.
