Like Being says, man, I don't know, Prince Man, it's

just don't walking around with the purple and gold glasses
on like Praier. You can do no wrong. And I
don't pick that Praiview's gonna go eleven and one in
a season and things of that nature, you know. And

Being says he's the number one fan. I'm a fan
and one thing I can say, you know, and uh,
and I you know, cleared it up and I'm like
I said, I'm encouraging uh. As a matter of fact,
he responded to my show. He appreciate the feedback and everything.
And I appreciate your feedback too, brother Isaiah. But the
three of us here collectively, uh, we do a whole
lot financially behind the scene that we don't promote in

So uh, I just thought it was great. But being

Yeah, the assignment was for me to figure out how
many winning seasons has the prayers you had, and we're
kind of going through history, so I kind of broke
it down into different areas of going all the way
back to nineteen thirty until twenty twenty four, and then
so it's kind of broken down into what we call
against the New Millennium from two thousand to twenty twenty four.

So first of all, first off, I did a little
AI search, since you know AI is big these days,
and AI told me it says that Prayerview the Mighty
Panthers have at least nineteen winning football seasons, including eleven
conference championships in five national championships. And then when I

delved deeper and went all the way back to nineteen thirty,
I'm showing that we have forty five winning seasons and
the first fourteen of that forty five from nineteen thirty,
the first fourteen seasons we were we had winning seasons.

So Praierview right out the gate was known as a winner. Okay,
and then since two thousand we've had ten winning seasons
out of twenty four.

So any questions, gentlemen, Okay, we just want to clarify
so we know what is considered a winning season. Is
any game over five hundred? One win over five hundred
will be considered the winning season? Correct? Exactly right now?
Then when you hear those numbers, what do you think?

did the last twenty or since the new millennial? Do
you have the last ten years? What type of winning
seasons out the Panthers have within the last ten years?

Well, again, I just think you did. I'm I'm gonna
pull one of my Jack numbers.

would say it and I believe it. No one should

the Tiger Knights and the Tiger knights from Ramley who

was and all that kind of stuff. I just seen
people from Prayers that you need to stand up till
and say, hey, you know what before you try to
talk about me and my history, learned your history first,
and you should be able to stick your chests out
and say, hell, you know what, I'm not there losing
school that you you know, you want to portray me at.

But I think we just have to know our history.
So when we hear a lot, we just need to
call it at what it.

Coach Northern was prior to Simmons, and it was it
was hot and cold seasons. But they had turned he said,

So I'm that's why I'm always I'm like being now
this mantra of the old perneview and it's losing habits.
I take offense to that when they want to keep
labeling that loser's tag. You got what I'm saying. And

go one and ten or over at eleven, right, you know,

my little analytical approach, I'm going to promote and I'm
going to support, but I'm going to state facts. And
the fact of the matter is Pray as you has

were in college, you know, I know it's in a
while now. When they during the game, didn't they have
to bring out uh extitgency for the students to come
in or the fans to sit in. Yes, the black shirt, Yes, okay,
so we had.

They did that. They did that at homecoming most of
the time most of.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
The Okay, thank you for your lord, you know, anybody
asks you coming. But the point is, did we bring
them out? And so all I'm saying is for the
people who want to stay that we didn't have any fans.
Whenever they brought him out, they brought him out. And
when they did bring him out, Uh, they weren't just
making people were sitting there. So I'm the point I'm

making is we've had fans, and I know, to uh
the nay sayer, that's a monster. Uh, he doesn't like
to acknowledge it. But when we've gone to other papers,
we've had fans, and when we played at home, we've
had things. And so I just think, you know, why
am I letting someone else create my narrative. I'm not
gonna do that.

remember and recall. They want to keep us stuck in
that nineties era, okay, and and live up to it,

but what I'm saying, and part of the challenge that
the nature it does have a floor to speak, all right,
I'm just saying, okay, okay, the part of the residual
that's a real reality check. And I don't know if
Ben's gonna agree or disagree with this, because those nine,

these survivors, those ninety survivors and their kids are now
part of the new era of Prairie View students. Okay,
So the way some of these parents were handled and
I'm giving an example. I'm keeping this strictly football now

because the football teams, yes, they went through their struggles,
they had, no doubt, all kind of heartaches, and they
were treated like a nothing. And I'm talking about by
Prairie View because they want to acknowledge they go when
they built the new stadium and all that. Yeah, you're

absolutely right. You acknowledge the class of the championships from

to what we're talking about. And Jack, you had an assignment,
So I'll let you break down what the assignment was.
We'll go from there.

Yeah, the assignment was for me to figure out how
many winning seasons has the prayers you had, and we're
kind of going through history, so I kind of broke
it down into different areas of going all the way
back to nineteen thirty until twenty twenty four, and then
so it's kind of broken down into what we call
against the New Millennium from two thousand to twenty twenty four.
(20:08):
So first of all, first off, I did a little
AI search, since you know AI is big these days,
and AI told me it says that Prayerview the Mighty
Panthers have at least nineteen winning football seasons, including eleven
conference championships in five national championships. And then when I
(20:32):
delved deeper and went all the way back to nineteen thirty,
I'm showing that we have forty five winning seasons and
the first fourteen of that forty five from nineteen thirty,
the first fourteen seasons we were we had winning seasons.
(20:52):
So Praierview right out the gate was known as a winner. Okay,
and then since two thousand we've had ten winning seasons
out of twenty four.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
So any questions, gentlemen, Okay, we just want to clarify
so we know what is considered a winning season. Is
any game over five hundred? One win over five hundred
will be considered the winning season? Correct? Exactly right now?
Then when you hear those numbers, what do you think?

Okay, do you have it broken down? I know you
did the last twenty or since the new millennial? Do
you have the last ten years? What type of winning
seasons out the Panthers have within the last ten years?
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Okay, why Ben gets his assessment, Let me and try
to get that number for you.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Well, again, I just think you did. I'm I'm gonna
pull one of my Jack numbers.
Speaker 1 (21:45):

Speaker 2 (21:45):
I think he did a good job. But what I
would say it and I believe it. No one should
be able to tell. What's your history? You? So this
year I said I wasn't gonna do it. I'm gonna
do it this one time and then I'm not gonna
do it. So when you hear the Southern Nights and
the Tiger Knights and the Tiger knights from Ramley who

want to talk about how bad TV has been or
was and all that kind of stuff. I just seen
people from Prayers that you need to stand up till
and say, hey, you know what before you try to
talk about me and my history, learned your history first,
and you should be able to stick your chests out
and say, hell, you know what, I'm not there losing
school that you you know, you want to portray me at.
(22:31):
But I think we just have to know our history.
So when we hear a lot, we just need to
call it at what it.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Is, just a lot, Okay, Okay. They say you want
to go back to ten seasons? He had last ten
seasons if you could, okay, got you? Okay? That we
correct with the fourteen something.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Like fourteen, right, yeah, so we had one.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Two, three. I think you was kind. And this is
while Marry's talking, Yeah.

You know I'm showing six six, okay, okay, okay, would
that be acceptable to you?
Speaker 1 (23:19):

I would say that coach Bubba and Pat coaches did
a pretty.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Good jomby okay. Uh And if you really want to
uh narrow it down, when you look at the the
Willie Simmons era right, coach Eric Dooley era, coach Bubba
McDowell era. Those three none of them had losing seasons,

if I'm correct looking at that, I think right now
Coach Northern was prior to Simmons, and it was it
was hot and cold seasons. But they had turned he said,

mostly come, okay, but so you have what you had.
So I'm that's why I'm always I'm like being now
this mantra of the old perneview and it's losing habits.
I take offense to that when they want to keep
labeling that loser's tag. You got what I'm saying. And

my take now, we didn't go eleven and one. We
didn't go nine to two, but we showed and and
go one and ten or over at eleven, right, you know,
so you do then they go, well, okay, he called

him out here on the road. Now he getting warmed up.
He waking up. But in all fairness, going back to
my little analytical approach, I'm going to promote and I'm
going to support, but I'm going to state facts. And
the fact of the matter is Pray as you has
had a program to uh be proud of. And here

I'm about to go to one of my three elements,
that being say, I say, uh that I that I
go to, and I think they should have been With
that being said, they should have had more support in
the stands. You know, but do you agree to disagree
with that?

Ben, We've had support. But okay, it's your.

uh okay, not under saying we've had support. Uh, I'm
talking about Uh go ahead, we've had support, you right.

I'm just then the time. I'm just I want the
listeners to know that when we only had a country
feel a country stadium, uh leasure section.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
That whole we protection with rockets mm hm.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
You know. And if I'm not mistaken, Jack, when you
were in college, you know, I know it's in a
while now. When they during the game, didn't they have
to bring out uh extitgency for the students to come
in or the fans to sit in. Yes, the black shirt, Yes, okay,
so we had.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
They did that. They did that at homecoming most of
the time most of.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
The Okay, thank you for your lord, you know, anybody
asks you coming. But the point is, did we bring
them out? And so all I'm saying is for the
people who want to stay that we didn't have any fans.
Whenever they brought him out, they brought him out. And
when they did bring him out, Uh, they weren't just
making people were sitting there. So I'm the point I'm
(26:45):
making is we've had fans, and I know, to uh
the nay sayer, that's a monster. Uh, he doesn't like
to acknowledge it. But when we've gone to other papers,
we've had fans, and when we played at home, we've
had things. And so I just think, you know, why
am I letting someone else create my narrative. I'm not
gonna do that.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
It made it. They say, a respond brother White can
then they say I have the floor.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Seas move on to the next point.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
As I was doing I was doing my homework assignment
and then I was asking the same question.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
You know, the old prayerview. So it's so broad the
old Praierview.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Are we talking you know when we got established in
nineteen thirty or were going back to two thousand? Are
we going back to nineteen ninety? So, I mean, if
you're really talking about the old Praierview starting in nineteen thirty,
then we won the first fourteen we had fourteen straight
winning seasons.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
That Lily, don't never talk about when you're wining, he's
talking about what he's beating you. You know, most Okay,
they they got selective memories.
Speaker 7 (28:05):
Right, Well, question the question of the old prairie View
first fourteen seasons or winning seasons, that's the.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Old praier View, right. But you know that, you know,
like Ben say, we have what they call selective memory.
We call it. I call it sometimes it's not quite
full of forgivefulness. But they select what they want to
remember and recall. They want to keep us stuck in
that nineties era, okay, and and live up to it,

live up to it and deal with it. But but
but what I'm saying, and part of the challenge that
the nature it does have a floor to speak, all right,
I'm just saying, okay, okay, the part of the residual
that's a real reality check. And I don't know if
Ben's gonna agree or disagree with this, because those nine,

these survivors, those ninety survivors and their kids are now
part of the new era of Prairie View students. Okay,
So the way some of these parents were handled and
I'm giving an example. I'm keeping this strictly football now

because the football teams, yes, they went through their struggles,
they had, no doubt, all kind of heartaches, and they
were treated like a nothing. And I'm talking about by
Prairie View because they want to acknowledge they go when
they built the new stadium and all that. Yeah, you're
(29:44):
absolutely right. You acknowledge the class of the championships from
sixty four, you acknowledged the championship from two thousand and nine.
But if it wasn't for those nineties guys that kept
persevering when the chances were very slim to none that
they would win anything day or the reason that you
(30:05):
have what you have today. So as a result, when
you neglect them, it causes a cross vibe between now
the children of those neglected ones and where y'all treated
my people like crap or why should I give a
whod about you all? That's something that needs to be addressed.
But see when I talk about stuff like that, that's
(30:27):
what being I don't think you'd be like man, they
want to bring up the nigga, but that's part of
the missing elements.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Well, all I know about are you do yeah, go ahead, Okay,
Well for what I heard, and I think you do
have you know, rights that they would ever you you know,
have the thay. But I think from my understand and
they did have some activities or some event and there
were people throughout the generation of football at Craving who
(30:54):
attended the thirty forty eighty ninety.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
They just had an event a couple a couple of
weeks ago before a season start. But when I'm saying
what led up to that, you got you gotta you
gotta acknowledge and understand all people would say. And sometimes
the truth is is is it hurts when it's when
it's the truth, and it's ugly when it's from within.
(31:23):
You know, you hear people of the animals, sorry this
and sorry that I get out there and do better
than that, But nobody would never come out and want
to help to get better. So those guys, they were
brave man. They put their panther on their chest and
they go out there and they're dealing with all kind
of internal strife and exterior strife. But yet they kept
showing up and more importantly, they were graduating. And all
(31:47):
I'm saying, all I'm saying is when their children are
hearing the horror stories of survival and when they come
on the scene and they try to, you know, connect
their there's a big gap if you go back and
look at it. What they want to acknowledge. They acknowledged
periview from the thirties up to the sixties. They gloss
(32:08):
over the seventies, eighties, nineties. Then they want to pick
back up in the two thousands and they want to
leave that patch like nothing ever happened, and they don't
want to acknowledge the guys who kept carrying no matter.
That's all I'm saying. Okay, that's all I'm saying it.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
You keep saying it, But I think there are people
who are who do acknowledge.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
I cannot be then we know they acknowledge. But I'm
talking about everybody wants to just keep that dark cloud
hanging like that's all that periview is about. That's what
you not keep understanding what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
I can really care less about what some other team,
and I've actually posed it to you and Jack, and
I've actually posed it, you know, on other people's channels
that I don't know how many other teams could have done.
What happened if Fred and overcame. I hate to say it,
but as I was listening to you, you know, a
couple of schools came to start Historian Wiley College. They
(33:08):
had a football team, they had some whatever turn off.
But the school is there, but they don't have a
football team. If I'm not mistaken, it Shop had you
know football, The school is there, you know, take school.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
There is.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Well okay, well, Paul, mean again, they had a football team.
It's still there, but they don't have football. And so
the point and I agree that there are some schools
that could not necessarily overcome what happened, and then there
are some schools were able to overcome. There are some schools.
I hate to acknowledge it, but since I'm on this
(33:50):
change in today, you know, some schools like Southern that's
all they that's all they know football and being and
I'm sure there's some other politives about their school. I
don't know what. I don't know what they are. I mean,
their colors don't look good.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
But if that's all you.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
About it football, and then more power to you. I
just believe during that time at Crazy maybe it was
just God seems to say, Hey, Jack jam and friends.
I need y'all to really tap into what a truth
foundation of what the university is. And during that time,
I think we develop a love of school, a love
(34:28):
of self, a love of educating and graduating, becoming process,
whatever process was for each individual. And when football came
back on the team, I think because we had a
very good foundation, everything else was able just to take off,
you know, compared to where some school couldn't take off.
(34:49):
And I'm gonna stick to that. If it's a lie,
I told it, I'm still believed, all right then.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Now, I mean, I don't have any more to add.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Of course, take Away and Drew.

You love what from Holly from Drew, some banks from
Yellow every War Fuller. I don't love from Alumna holl
Uh the Sigma Tree, Yeah that, you know, the walk
from one side of campus to the other side of campus.

Yeah, I didn't love that. Got caught in the range
so many times walking over what I mean. I just
learned a lot when I was there, you know, I
know sometimes you know, we just did funny. I learned
a lot when I was in.

Yeah, yeah, Prince, I agree. If you want to look
at the totality of the history. You gotta you gotta
include it all and don't just harper uh, you know,
harp on just the bad part of history, however long
that may have been.

Yeah, you can't pick and choose. You got and bridge

Preiview's history history, so we know Praiview was at the top.

Southern was not. What did the Southern? The gramblings, the
Jackson State? Where did they come from? Did they come
from another conference or did they just get voted on
us join the conference?
