what I've seen the physical dimension, size, height of the

more comfortable when I get to travel to see my family.
You know, in a couple of weeks in Dallas, knowing
that we won the game heading into the the labor
they class, not the Labor Day, the comparative going into
the game, and we would have lost three consecutives.

I believe last week. I think my grade was a
B minus. I believe, But this week I kind of
have to do a little downgrade. Even though we had
less than a one hundred yards and penalties, which is

home turf this coming weekend. But you saw some glimpse

who's going to be the quarterback.

I think I'll be respectful and that I would say

The tight end position. But I just feel like from
what I've seen the physical dimension, size, height of the
tight end, I just think that we could we could
get more out of that. So I don't know if

Well, the fan base of TV Nation has been questioning
some of the play calling. Maybe then you gotta remember also,
and not that I'm trying to defend one way or

you look at this, of course Northwestern broke through losing
streak against.

we don't come out the gates flat like we did

to be extremely important to the fast start this week
against the demons of Northwestern State.

harp on the coaching and you know coaching is part
of the problem, but the guys got to get out
and execute. You gotta be focused at all times against
all opponents, no matter what the level they're on. SBS

go in there and take care of the business and mandate.
I'm curious on who's going to be at the quarterbacking
position starting out this week with well, you're the scout being,
you're the extra coach, what's your assessment of the quarterbacking situation?

At first, I.

Think the young man the notes again.
Speaker 3 (21:17):

I guess me and man, you must hear my brain.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Just turning the page or something. I think the young
man that that came in and played against right, I
just think if he could just get some more stability
on the line, that he could perform better. But at
the same time that I'm not the coach. That's that's
coach coaches job. I don't want to just keep only

getting a dead uh fly. He said that whoever the
team wins over the team is gonna be the quarterback.
And so right now it looks like even though he
said that maybe had two quarterbacks that was cheating on
their homework assignment and they got the same grade of

a seventy five.

Okay, how are you ranking the quarterbacks? I know what
coach says, I know what he says. The team said,
how are you ranking the quarterbacks?
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Sir? Who do you think gives us the best chance
to win? Well, I was seeing that I was to say, sir,
well like you was telling me to get you a point.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Okay, well, if he let me finish. I would like
to see the young man for full shirt, the red
shirt freshman, I would like to see, if he's still
on the team. I think he is. You're talking about
Timothy Barrington. Yeah, I would like to see.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
The young man from La Fiette from you of.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Ah, because unfortunately he did get injured if I'm not mistaken,
like the first one or two games and we never
saw him again. So I would like to see one
of them. At this point, I can't say I'm just
being on any other quarterbacks that I've really seen. I've seen,

you know, uh Conley, and he does throw a good
ball if they're blocking. I've seen the other young man.
You know, he's able to throw the ball and you know,
can get the first down with his legs. But at
a certain time that Peters or Carter with the first one.
I'm talking, but I kind of wouldn't mind seeing the

fresh one just to see, you know what he has
h Now.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
That's just me and you, grouther White.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
I've seen Peters and I've seen Carter. It seems like
the offense moves a little better with Carter, and it
seems like Carter has a little more speed than Peters
m hm.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
So we can't coach speed, so I would have.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
To go with Carter, Okay, okay, okay, And at this
point I'm going to pick on you know, uh and
maybe heck using what both of them on the fields
at the same time to add a threat of a
double pass situation, to add a wrinkle of two to
the situation.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
But I think the line has to get.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Whoever's going to be back there enough time to go
through progressions and execute the plays. So I think it's
more of an interior deal than actual quarterback per se.
And I guess they've been going with their a quarterback
can handle them or deal with the heat better under stress.
But right now, I think it's something that needs to

be fine tuned on the line up front.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
That's just my assessment.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
And we're still somewhat in the preseason, right, would you think? Right?
Speaker 2 (24:50):

You know, even though you want to win every game, okay,
but I'd rather take these non conference losses than to
get beat up on in conference play.

Yeah, And so that's read I'm suggesting on the young
man from you of age other pressman, because this will
be the last pre season game we have, and as
I discussed with you earlier, friends, I actually think, coach,
this is a must win now.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
It's you know, I'm a little I'm a little shut
back hearing you say that. You know, no, no, no, no,
no no, not not in a bad way, in a
shocking way. On why now do you feel like this.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Is a this is a must win game?
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Well, I mean, as I brought to your attention, I
think going into actually full swat football now, I'd rather
go in on a winning note than to be three
games on a losing note. Still have an uncertainty on
the quarterback situation still for me, not feeling comfortable with
the tight end and the blocking situation. I'll just feel

more comfortable when I get to travel to see my family.
You know, in a couple of weeks in Dallas, knowing
that we won the game heading into the the labor
they class, not the Labor Day, the comparative going into
the game, and we would have lost three consecutives.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Jack, what's your chack on what's your check on it? Jack?
Speaker 3 (26:22):
I'm close to saying it's must winning as well, just
for just for the optics. And when I say optics,
i'm talking about, you know, new coach like being had
mentioned earlier the number of transfers. We got twenty plus
transfers just and then all the you know, the early

season hype, all the hype and all that. So with
those type of those three things right there alone, I'm
thinking it's almost a must win game. Well, I'm kind
of looking at this thing as a half full versus
half empty. And the reason I'm saying to kind of
piggyback off with you're saying being.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Technically speaking, we would be coming into conference with a
wind street being that we won the label they classic
against Sex or Southern did we want to win and
not to recount that they're going.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
To lose against Northwestern.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
But if they do lose against Northwestern, yeah, it could
be slightly of a Debbie downer.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
But you've gotten some of your kinks out.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Now you can go full disclosure playbook when you face
up against Grammlin. But we do have to get past
these demons first. And I'm not as critical as it
would be, but I do want to see some execution.
I want to see a little bit more discipline and
like I said, I want to see a better trench

play from the line on both sides, offense and defense
before I get now as far as here go being
here's my bentually, I got three at the grab bag
that I go to. As far as the casual fan
attention and interest, if we lose this game, I think

it's going to be real critical for the remaining of
the season, in particular after the State Fair Classic on
local home game attendance.

If we stumble again at home, I think.

You'll really lose the local yoakams if you would of
coming out and supporting the Fancus. So I can see
the critical aspect from that part, But for the overall
team gameplay, not just yet.

Bottom line, it's just a must win game right then there.

then throng to you. When practice is over, put an
extra five or teen minutes in and just catch the
ball five or ten minutes. As I tell my daughter
all the time, if you finish your homework, put another
extra five ten minutes in, and I promise you that
when it's test time the next day, you'll pay it.
