Speaker 1 (00:02):
And welcome back to another episode of Yeah I said
it right here on the Open Mic Broadcast Network, of course,
I am joined weekly by Ben and Jack, and let's
say hello to the guys. Guys, how you doing today?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
How you doing sir?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Good morning, sir. How are you all right? Well? I'm
doing good. You look like your live brother gas like
you to say, go and kick some ass in Alabama,
and TV delivered Man, yeah exactly. I mean I told him.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
What to do, and I said that ASU, you know.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Not su not su. Oh, okay, go ahead, let me
cut you off. Go ahead, go finish your talk.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I had mentioned that ASU had beat Alabama A and
M about forty seven or something, and I predicted that
we were one up you and be them forty eight
to something.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Well, actually one about fifty something. Said well, you know
fifty something of the thirteen.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
But no, no, not being any correct.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Bottom line, Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
I can't say that. Uh we hired Jackson's State with
how many forms they.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Love about I'll play it that way forty five I
do know that.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Okay, Well, at the bottom line is the brother brother
Jack was is a profit in training. Man, he's a pitch,
he said, he put he put it out there in
the atmosphere and PV delivered. Now, Ben, I know you
have some difficulties doing your general coaches breakdown, but can
(01:47):
you give them and an overall grave and without a
detailed grade, then we're here what Jack had.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
If you don't mind, I could do that, but I
do that. One one comment you rustling today?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Uh someone one of your friends.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
He knows who he is, somebody that you know. Uh
s his name is coach something. He I did listen
to his show the other day and I need to
tell him that.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
If he uh uses my name again, to expect the
letter in the mix. So don't call yourself the number
one thing.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Don't do that. No more, don't do that, don't.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
You said a coach said they were the number one fan?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah, you know who? He knows who he is. So
I'm just he's doing.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
And he's going down there the YouTube pit hole again Jack, he.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Was on another show then he's the number one fan.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
And I was offended. I said I need to send
him a letter.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So you're gonna do a cease and dismissed letter man.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yeah, I'm telling him now right to be you the
number one fan?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Well, we never know what this brother's gonna say each week,
do we man?
Speaker 2 (02:58):
We many? You know what.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I'm just letting people know.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Don't don't don't do that. I don't use your name.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Don't use my names.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, this is not scripted.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Now that being bad, I do have some thoughts. I
give the wide receiving Corps UH a minus.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I would have gave.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Him an A plus, but that UH.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
I won't call nobody's name, but one player.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
He needs to be working on that passing drill with
that machine right now.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Now he just keeps dropping the ball.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
We need to find out if he's like honey buns,
don't nuts, whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
To throw them, you can catch him.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
But anyway, just using ever since the n uh, we're
still doing the coaching and the quarterback together. So UH,
based on that forty five point when you can't really
say nothing, so I have to give him an A plus
with a check mark line. They gotta start, even back
in the day when they just get.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
A start, get on the start. The dB.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
I saw a little hand fighting back then. We got
a couple of penalties, but I'll give you a B plus.
The offensive line, I give them the offense and the
defensive line.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
I give them a B plus, okay, and uh.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Man, I hate to say it, but my low grade
for the week still is that special team. But I
believe that he's gonna kick one at the right time,
So I'm gonna I'm gonna give him a passing grade.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I'm gonna give him a curve. Everybody else got an ao.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Beach, so I'm gonna give him a cut. But we
need to work on that kick again.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Kick what your.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Shoe off, Speak with your sock off, speak with your
qu on, your sock on. But he he trying, and
I'm just believing at the right time, it's gonna go
through the field goal coming through the goal post correctly.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
But that's my low pe right there at the kitchen
game bill. Either what if I'm may kick it?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Okay, I guess it's my turn, So I'm gonna I'm
gonna grade the three levels.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Uh offense.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I'm gonna say uh a minus. And I would have
gave him a plus if we had started the game
off a little faster. At one point it was five
to zero Alabama A and M, but we finally got
the the tires turning the RLS rolling and uh that
(05:39):
second quarter through through the rest of the game, it.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Was it was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
So, uh A minus for offense.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Defense is an A plus because you held.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
We held Alabama A and M to five points to
total game so a plus. And they definitely get the uh,
they get the game ball. And then special teams kind
of piggybacking on what being had mentioned was like still
good attempts and keep working on that. So special teams,
(06:15):
I'll say B plus. And then going over to team stats.
So almighty Panthers ended up with a total of six
hundred and seven yards in total offense, holding Alabama A
and M to two hundred and four yards total offense.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Fil lease, we.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Were seven penal leaves for sixty yards.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Could be could be.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Better there in that area, but it's it's it's under
one hundreds, so that's good. Turnovers, we only had one turnover,
say interception, one turnover.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Oh you said, I'm sorry, I'm thinking about you said
turnover talk.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Yeah, one tonover.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
And then oddly enough, time of possession Alabama A and
M one the time of possession thirty three minutes they
had they held the ball and we held the ball
for twenty six minutes fifty five seconds. But uh, I
guess that's neither here or there when you blow out
a team. So that's my greating assessment.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I gave an a minus overall performance due to that.
Then it was it was a nervous feeling, man that
first quarter, first half of play, like what's going on?
And then they finally, like you said, they got huh, well,
you know, five nothing and like you know, the safety.
I'm going like, man, let's let's go. Let's get this
(07:49):
thing going, you know. But like I said, they got
it together, did what they had to do on the rod,
finished strong. Now I did like the overall dominance by
the defense. I was really excited about when they played Southern.
I thought that was the most commanding performance. But with
(08:11):
Southern being where they all this year, this quickly steps
in front of that. Even though Alabama A and M
is not at the top of the heat. But it
showed just how dominant that defense is throughout the course
of the twenty twenty five season. So that was that
was my breakdown of it. And the six hundred plus
(08:31):
yards of offense phenomenal. And you talking about going from
from the outhouse to the white House. Four turnovers one week,
five touchdown passes the next week. What a difference between
the week right.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Talking about huh did he go home for Thanksgiving and.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
He did something? Because the turkey was set, the gravy
was pawing, and the and the and the catches were flowings,
you know, so it was it was a great day,
as they say, to be a panther. Right, So now
the Panthers in sole possession right now of the West.
And unless we get four flats a flat on a spare,
(09:12):
somebody's still the motor. The West is ours, the West
is ours. But we still got to finish strong.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
I got a personal uh vendetta to stomp on Valley
out of what they've done to us the last two
out of three years. And I don't want any slip
ups this week against Pine Bluff and start start looking
east Man towards Jackson State.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Well, you know.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
That's a good point.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
I don't have the business. I can't find a water.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I found a bus driver. I was gonna ask y'all that, y'all,
if you want to uh uh get a bus to
go to the game, we'll we'll discuss that later on.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
We'll bring it to the listeners.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I think it's gonna be really interesting if you let
me subway into something real quick. This Grambling our corn
expected the way our corn is turning right now, And
I don't know if we're gonna talk about gramming, but
the way they're playing, that's gonna be a very important game,
which I'm already made my talking who was gonna win,
But that's gonna be an exciting game to watch their
(10:19):
our corn ring.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Oh, no doubt, no doubt. Look, well, it's gonna be
interesting due to the fact Grambling and Fortune Cookman had
a melee and it's gonna be some guys missing from
those games too, you know. But man, that was that
was straight up out of control. Man, that was out
of control.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
It was I felt like I won't shat too much
did when somebody turned their back on me, you know.
But you know he is and I had his SnO
feeling but.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
You know, well he loves talking and cold, don't he.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Well you know what, you know what.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
But I wanted to go over because I didn't do
it last week with a little power ranking. So this
week I want to say Jack and State still will
be number one. Alabama State will be number two, PRAISEE
will be number three because we lost with Alabama State unfortunately.
And then I have a Delaware State number four and
number five.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I have an A and a B.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
A will be uh South Carolina State, and B will
be North Carolina six.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
So you got a five, A five B instead of
a top six. Why can't you just pick one? You
gotta pick one, man, if you're gonna have the top five.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Uh, well, because the people from North Carolina talk a
lot of.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Noise, we'll go.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
I love your logic, man, I love logic.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I do a lot because they believe that they've never
lost to a sweat school.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
If I have to remind them that, you know they did.
Can listen at that?
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah, so, Josh, I don't know if you listen, but
that was for you.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Oh my goodness. Well, at least he's feeling better this week. Jack,
I'm not ridly.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
None of my next is hurt.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah, that's true. I'm looking at okay, Okay, well, okay,
we got that. Any more notes you want to add
to this past week's performance, Man, it's time to go
over our picture from last week and then make our
picture this week.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
We can go with the pick.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Well, Brother White, the floor is yours. All right, let's see.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Here going back to our picks. Uh, let's see what
the totals look like here. This week looks like Brother
Jack is still in the lead with a total of
(13:08):
sixty one and thirteen. We have Doctor Prince in second
at fifty nine in fifteen and still trying to get
his second win coming. In the tail end, we have
brother Ben at fifty five and twenty.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Okay, okay, so you got me by two, I have
you by two picks right now?
Speaker 1 (13:36):
They got Jack, I mean got Being by six five
six picks, yeah, yeah, six picks. Okay, okay, Well we're
coming down in two weeks. Then we're gonna have to
make some some bold picks. Brother Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Oh we finally from Being yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Okay, Well y'all picked all these games that.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Don't take.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Okay then okay, okay, okay, Well, well we'll go lay
out the carpet this week. Jack. Let's see what we
got and see how that adventures were getting our picked
this week.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
All right, so this weekend, uh, Saturday, November fifteenth, the
matchups that we have going, We have the Filne Cookman
at Jackson States.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Give me jsu.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Oh make the book.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Well, that's what I'm saying. Before I actually thought that
Basoon would have had a chance into the melee and
they gonna be missing some players and gonna be on
the road. So I'm gonna take Jackson State, right, Yeah,
that was my assessment as well, that they'll be.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Missing some key players. Okay, all right. Our next matchup
we have Florida A and m at Alabama and m m.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Hmm, give me Sam. I'm going to take Sam on
that one. I'm gonna take Sam.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
I'm gonna give your ch I'm going on h Okay, okay,
all right.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Our next matchup we have Grambling visiting all Corn Steak.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
I'm going Corn.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
I'm gonna take Grambling, even though, oh man, they know
whole They had to Maine to, didn't they They had
to to No, give me, give me all corn, give
me all corn. You are I'm still in the middle
of my pig. I have to think that.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
We shown you grace to man, what are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Okay, give me a corn, please give me what you do? Yeah,
you want to go back after we had made picks
and put him all in the books in Vegas. Anyone
I want to change. I'm in the middle of my decision.
Make it. I'm picking all coins. I'll take all coin
for one hundred. Please.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
You need the Jeffardy music now, yeah, thank you, sir.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
All right.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
For our next matchup, we have Texas Southern on the road.
Isn't he.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Southern? I want to take Southern in this one? All right?
No changes, no changes?
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Okay, huh, I'm taking textas other Okay.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I just heard something. I tell you he did actually
said something, you know I heard. That's why I said, huh, sir,
That's why I said huh.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
I'll take the TSU Tigers as well.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
And then the next matchup, we have Alabama State on
the road visiting Mississippi Valley States.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
I will not take Valley. Give me the Hornets, please,
I'm gonna take the Hornets, okay.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
And the marquee matchup, we have Arkansas Pine Bluff visiting
the hills at the prestigious Prayer U A and M
University the Mighty Panthers.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
All right, I will take Arkansas Pine Bluff getting beat
down by the Panthers.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
Well before I give my house.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Jack, I got a ticket of val I'm taking frae.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, I am taking the Mighty Panthers to win at
home and recognize the importance of finishing strong.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Okay, Quay, what's.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
The points bread? I mean, what would be the points
on this game?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
When you say points for it? What the score the
score off for Perier few pound bluff? Yes, okay, let
me maul that over, y'all throw your number that. Let
me mawel this thing over for a minute. Go ahead.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Then I predict by half time it'll be.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Twenty eight to nothing.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Hmm. Okay, so I'm assuming that's per if you're in
top twenty eight to nothing, yes, so you can fifty zero.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
I'm predicting that's gonna go on more points in this
game that they have all Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Okay, what's the total? So what's the total points? Then?
Shall you say total score?
Speaker 4 (18:50):
They gave up three, they love three, we had forty eight.
I believe I'm gonna say, uh no, no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Make you no.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
I just thought last come out of some Jason.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Go oh no, no no, say it from your chest.
Ain't that what you just said? Say?
Speaker 2 (19:11):
I know, Chay, I'm just thinking.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
I'm just thinking about that, uh that video that that
that boy Holly died.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
It did come out to Okay, Okay.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
I'm gonna say fifty one oh.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Fourteen. Okay, Okay, brother White, what you got.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
I'm gonna say thirty one.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
To thirteen, thirty one thirteen, and you said fifty one
to fourteen yeh, then yes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
I'm gonna play the whole second.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Okay, I'm going to I'm gonna say furview thirty five
and time bluff seventeen thirty five, seventeens.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Oh no, huh no I think did Carter gonna play
the whole second?
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Well? No, I mean he was my I'm just you know,
I'm I'm thinking I'm looking for a sound victory. I'm
I'm projecting that. But I'm gonna say thirty five points.
But I will step out on the limb and say,
I believe defense will score this week. Okay, I believe that.
I think we'll get a little bonus point from defense.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Well that's the case. What did I think he's fifty.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Two, fifty one, fifty.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
One fifty one. I'll say that that's because he didn't.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
If you think the defense I said, it's gonna be
fifty eight fourteen. Okay, But we're not going, but we're
not doing I'm gonna think of fifty one. But I
think if you think of defense, that wasn't count the dfense.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Right now, I really think, I really think defense. Man,
I'm really you know, I'm a defensive guy like defense,
and the defense has been consistent off season. But now
they just got to score some points. Just scored some points,
and I think this will be a good time to
really hone in and get that done. Right now. With that,
(21:19):
I don't I don't want to get premature. But the
elephant in the room right now, if things would have
shut down to day two days, uh per Review would
be representing the West in the SWAT Championship game right
against jack against Jackson State. How do you at this
(21:44):
stage of the season, I know there are two games remaining,
how do you see Purview measuring up against Jackson State
right now?
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Well, first, I think he's doing one game at a time,
So I think we can talk about that next week.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
I think I think you I won't go anymore.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Okay, thank you for that, sir, brother White.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Yeah, I'm not going to delve into it too much either.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
It's still I said, right, That's why I emphasized right now.
I undersaid that I said, at this stage, right now,
what do you see compared to what you've seen about
Jackson State that Prairie View would have to improve upon
as they get ready for Jackson.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I didn't give you field goal kicking. I'm not giving
that steel goal kicking.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Okay, special special teams, punting, and field goal yeah, okay, No,
no material, that's what you're talking about, not giving nothing.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
I'm not giving field goal.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Use the field goals, okay, Phil, Yeah, field position is
important to me.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Okay, Okay, you'll come up with some more next week. Well,
that's that's fine. We do want to remind people that.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Wait, wait, wait, wait, you're going to ask the question.
Apparently you got something, what do you think?
Speaker 1 (23:22):
No, I didn't have anything. I was asking for your assessment.
I think right now, Prayer, I said, you know what,
can I finish my thought? Yes, I think Prayer iView
needs to improve offensively, Okay, to be more consistent in
the passing game, because you're gonna need an effect of
passing game when you go up against the caliber of
(23:43):
a Jackson State.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Okay, all.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
You know you can't you can't be hot and cold
like you've seen these last couple of weeks. They're gonna
need to be and that that includes receivers holding on
the balls, quarterbacks making the right throws, and you know,
acriate throws, not too high, not too low. So keep
tweaking that, Okay, because based on.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Something you said, you said that Praivy defense looks the
best right.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Now, right, all right?
Speaker 1 (24:15):
I did That's not what I said.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
You said Pray defense looked good.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
I said they did good and the defense has been
consistent and Domba, I just say it looks the best.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Okay, Well, I was talking about I'm not comparing. I'm
just coming out for them. You were saying that they
look dominant Breek. So based on that, I'm gonna ask
you the question. I'm gonna still hold my coming sit
next week. Had Jackie Stay been a defense like Praisey PC, yes, you.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I would have to say yes to a degree. When
they played against Alabama State, and I'm trying to think
they have yet to play with Thune Cookman, so I
would say yes on the caliber of what Alabama State
has been doing consistently throughout the seat.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Okay, all right, I would say no.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Okay, well, that's your opinion, and you asked me my opinion.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Yeah, no, I was thinking that maybe the Southern game.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Well that's what I couldn't think of the non conference
but but but yeah, I know Alabama safe for one
and then the Southern Miss, no doubt because they were
playing up. So are you saying, let me reverse this thing?
Are you saying previous defenses on that calibery is what
Southern Miss was doing or Southern Alabama was doing?
Speaker 5 (25:30):
I say, listed waiting all right, So Jack, what else
you talk about?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
I thought we were going on to uh you tell me,
doctor Princeton.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
No, ma'am, I'm about to wrap this up since you
don't have anything to say. You don't want to create,
no bulletin material anything like that. What I was about
to say, what I was about to say was simply this.
You can continue to listen to the Panthers this weekend

(26:28):
dynamic young lady doing some outstanding play by playwork in
this male dominant dominated field. And it was just a
good pleasure to sit down and talk with her and
andbark upon her some of the old school technology and
tidbit that I've acquired over the season and look forward
(26:50):
to work with her in the very near future. Now,
with all that being said, this time now for your
closing thoughts and comments, Brother Ben, brother White, and is
here what you got?
Speaker 5 (26:59):
Okay, So again, this will be my last time bringing
this up.

But the person trying to steal my name.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
He asked me a question I pointed out, I noticed that.
Let me make sure I say it correctly.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Waller Waller High School.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
I think they're gonna make the playoffs, and so they
have a game this week on Thursday.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
So my suggestion was it.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Would be good athletic dire up out.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
Maybe we could invite the football team to come to
the game on Saturday, since they won't be playing a
Saturday game this week. And then, unfortunately, the Hempstead High
School team will not be doing any playoffs participation, So
maybe we can invite the Hemstead team.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
On that last game just as a way.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Of saying, hey, you know we are supporting the football team.
So Waller invitation this Saturday to the football team. Next Saturday,
Lost Airy team invite the Hemstead team. So that could
be some individuals in the seat.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
That's all I have to.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
