It's the radio guy, doctor Mike Prince. Welcome to another

to bring you some news you could use today. It's
no exception to the rule. You can follow me on

twenty four hour stream at obnradio dot com. And don't
forget we have that twenty four hour message text line
at nine three six four six three two four zero five.

(00:44):
All that being established, let us jump right in two
today's episode. Well, it is truly a football Friday around
these parts of Waller County t The Waller Bulldogs begin

(01:04):
their playoff run tonight against the Tomball Cougars in Tomball, Texas.
Kickoff time is at seven pm Central Time, and you
can listen to that game live right here on the
open Mic Broadcast Network at our YouTube channel at open
Mic Broadcast Network. You hear the play by play coverage

(01:25):
by mister Philip Prince. Does the Bulldogs take their seven
and three record to Tomball, Texas, which is only about
seventeen miles? Look, it's North. That would be Yes North
of Waller to take on the eight and two Tomball Cougars.
It should be a very interesting first round match and

(01:48):
we'll have all that play by play action right here
for you on the Open Mic Broadcast Network. And just
in case she hadn't had enough football for the weekend,
you can come back can meet us yet again on
Saturday two pm Central Standard time where the Prairie View

(02:09):
A and M University Panthers will be hosting the University
of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Now the Praiview Panthers or
seven and three on this twenty twenty five campaign, looking
to extend their record to eight and three, but more importantly,
they would be six one. Yeah, six and one in

(02:35):
conference play, and that is definitely going to be a
good standing for the Panthers to seal the victory for
the Western Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Now Panthers
take care of that game, then it will still have
another game on the twenty second against the Mississippi Valley

(02:57):
State dealp the Devils. That will be the final home
season or home game of the regular season, and that
will be a senior day of course, and of course
the thing now is not about the Panthers producing on
the field that has been signed, sealed and delivered. Coach
Tremaine Jackson came in with his boldness and he's been

(03:23):
standing through his boldness of flaunting one of the top
defenses in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and to be quite
honest with you, in the FCS rankings. So it'll be
very intriguing and encouraging to see what the the ian
is going to be. As far as attendance, and I

(03:44):
know people don't like hearing and harping on attendance, but
trust me, as a former player, attendance does have some
effect on players, male or female, out there busting their chops,
the sacrificing time, effort, and body and soul when there's

(04:09):
no one around. You know, they're traveling on these roads.
Well in our day, the travel was a little bit
more harsh, but now they're but they're still traveling, spending
time away from campus and they're representing whichever university that
they have on their chest. And it's just a good feel,

(04:29):
a good vibe to know that people are out there
appreciating you. You know there are some, but when you
have a facility that looks vacant during game time. You know,
not that it's going to kill your drive, but it
does start for you. At times you wonder if you're

(04:51):
being appreciated for the efforts that you put it in,
and it'll be very great. But I've been a realist
and I have a number in mind that I would
like to see the base and I'm not talking about
a guestimated number, but a true number, because if that

(05:11):
number is there and it's an enthusiastic number, you can
make some noise. It can make a difference. It can
help push these guys on third down from the defense
is trying to hold off the offense and the crowd
is making noise and go bonkers and is creating chaos

(05:32):
and havoc. Even with the point where the home team
or the visiting team I should say, can't even communicate
and hear and have to burn time out or get
false starts. All these little things give what is quote
unquote that home field advantage. And the number that I
am projecting or not projecting, I'm using as a baseline,

(05:58):
and some I think is a bit too much, But
I'm talking about a solid feeling and a good strong
vin five thousand people. So I'm going PV five thousands,
and if PV can get five thousand excited fans at

(06:18):
that stadium on Saturday, that's the minimum at making noise.
I really believe you'll see and hear a difference. And
the Panthers, as we stated early, they have delivered. They
are in control, and they gotta finish this thing out now.

(06:41):
The way things are looking right now, it appears, and
I'm using that term very very loosely, that the Panthers
do have a slim remote chance of hosting the championship game.
But at this stage, whether they're hosting on the road,

(07:03):
the fact that they're there is what matters, and more
than likely it looks like they would be lined up
with Jackson State, although there's steel of fighters chance for
the Alabama State Hornets, who are continued to roll hot.
But the game that I thought could have stumbled the

(07:25):
Jackson State Tigers's coming up this weekend, but due to
the brawl on the last week between Bethune Cookmen and
Grambling State, I think it has lessened the striking blow
unless they got some rabbits in the hat from Bethune,
I believe Jackson should be able to take care of

(07:45):
the Wildcats, especially at home, so it could be a
precursor of West can be coming down the road. Jackson
State potentially hosting the Prairie View A and M University Panthers,
which is, like you said, still got a couple of
weeks left. You don't want to get premature on anything.

(08:08):
And it's all about TV Nation finishing strong. And with that,
talking about finishing strong, we want to give another acknowledgment
and recognition to men and women's basketball just getting started
on the young season PV Nation, men and women trying

(08:30):
to establish themselves for this twenty five twenty six campaign
on the hardwood, and we'll have a lot of that
broken down even more with our basketball gurgle coach Van
Petaway on our weekly episodes of the Locker Room, and
of course you know what coach heist Northern and after

(08:51):
further review, we discussed the world of football and a
little beyond what's on the gridiron and who could forget
the episodes of Yeah I said it with being Jack
and yours truly by far, this has been a pleasant
surprise with some of the things that have said. Some

(09:14):
might seeing out of left field, some may seem like
you're fussing and complaining, but it's really out of love
for our beloved Prairie View and University Panthers and the
Southwestern Athletic Conference. To be sure to check all of
those out, and of course the sports Portal and the

(09:36):
Sports Portal Sunday six pm to seven pm live on
Sundays right here at the open Mic Broadcast Network. Do
want to remind you to kick off for Friday night
football for the Waller bull Dogs and the Tumbball Cougars
will begin tonight seven pm Central Standard time. Prairie View

hosting Diversity of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will be at
two pm Central Standard time. We also want to thank
the Temple of Refuge Ministries and the Prairie View Athletic

of a fundraiser right now where they're selling raffle tickets
and the prizes are in gift cards one thousand dollars,
top prize seven hundred and fifty dollars, two hundred and
fifty dollars or the prizes for the help fundraising with

(10:44):
a raffle ticket. Now you can get these raffle tickets
at the game. They'll be selling the raffle tickets throughout
the game, and then they got one more home game
for Mississippi Valley. Now, your support of this, as we stated,
will go to help support Prairie View Athletics, not just football,

(11:06):
but Prairie View Athletics. So it'd be a great, great
opportunity for you to get on board if you would,
and help support the calls for more information on how
you can support the Prairie View Athletic Club, or just
