We do have a twenty four hour work message text
line at nine three six four six three two four
zero five. With all that being established, let us jump
right in two today's episode. We would like to technowledge
the Prairieview Athletic Club for being an underwriter for our
(00:42):
program cover Tier at the open Mic Broadcast Network.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Round.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
They got an event rolling out the last chance to
get your tickets to not only help Perriview Athletics, but
you can also help yourself there one time than dollars
gift card seven hundred and fifty dollars gift card or
two hundred fifty dollars gift card for third place in
(01:08):
the annual Raffle. All you have to do is make
your Raffle ticket purchase simply as allowing four dollars to
leave your hands to get your ticket for an opportunity
to win one of the three prizes and what happens
with them, You get a little change in your pocket
and Prairie View Athletics get some change in their pocket
(01:31):
by way of the Prairieview Athletic Club by making their
donations for all the proceeds that they raise in support
of Prairie View Athletics. That's real simple to join. You
can be at the game, which will be the final
regular season game of the twenty to twenty five season
against Mississippi Valley. The kickoff will be at two pm
(01:54):
and you can make your ticket purchase there or a
donation if you don't feel like being a part of
the odds, and make your donation because like we stated,
it all goes toward a worthy cause. All you have
to do is down three four six seven nine six
(02:14):
seven six nine zero.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Down that numbers.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Say, hey, I heard on the open mic on the
Mike Prince Show that there's a chance for me to
support the Panthers and possibly win me a gift card,
or I just want to make a donation.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
You simply dial that number again.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Three four six seven nine six seven six nine zero
and let's help support the Panthers today. I just got
one question to ask you who you're rooting for p
Z You, well, the West is worn. The Prairie View
(02:57):
A and M University Panthers wrecked University of Arkansas at
pim Love fifty six to nine was the final. More impressively,
the Panthers almost pitched a shutout in the second half,
only gave up the field goal, but nonetheless another strong
(03:19):
performance by the Prairie View Panthers defense and the offense
finally exploded over this past weekend. As we mentioned, scoring
fifty six points, you had a chance to have some
good showing by both quarterbacks yet again this week. The
(03:39):
two headed monster has been working for coach Jackson all
season long, and you had two touchdown passes by Peters
along with two touchdowns by the backup Carter couple, two
touchdown visits by running backs McDowell and of course Bigham
(04:04):
doing his thing for the Panthers and like we say,
defense playing nights out now the way things are looking
right now because of the fact that Jackson State was
able to hold off the Wildcats this past weekend. Their
victory was twenty eight to thirteen over the Wildcats. So
(04:26):
now from the way everything is looking from outside in,
it looks like it's going to be Jackson State and
the Very View and M University Panthers. And if the
games were to start to day, you would have the
(04:47):
Panthers put it on their traveling shoes to head toward Jackson, Mississippi. Now,
we do have one more week left, and it is
funny and strange how these two games are going to
intertwine with the final potential standing or who will host
(05:15):
this twenty twenty five Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship game. Now,
if you look at it at a glance on top,
Prairie View loss thirty one twenty eight to Alabama State
at home. The Jackson State Tigers beat Alabama State by three.
(05:39):
So when you look at it on paper, it would
show obviously that Jackson State would have the advantage due
to the common opponent of the Jackson State and Alabama
State matchup.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
But awaits, my friend, there.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Is a slim wrinkle that the Prairieview A and M
University families will leave it or not could end up
hosting the twenty twenty five SWACK Championship game. And here's how.
There's a rule in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Google Books
(06:25):
of tie breaking that not only if they have a
common denominator, then common opponents. If they hadn't played each
other hit the head, then the head the head of
who they played throughout the season, and in the twenty
twenty five campaign, because Jackson and Prairie View had not
(06:46):
played each other, they would have to go by common opponents.
Once again, Alabama State a major factor. Glancing at the
surface because Prairiview lost hit the Head to Alabama State,
Jackson State wins slammed up right, But no, you have
(07:07):
Alabama A and M Bulldogs. You have the Mississippi Valley
State Delta Devils and the all Corn State Braves to
factor in on this decision.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Maker when you go head the head.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Jackson State defeats Alabama A and M forty two to three.
Prairieview defeats Alabama A and M forty eight to five.
Prairie View, as we mentioned, lost to Mississippi I'm not
Missippi Valley, but they lost to Alabama State. But then
(07:47):
Prairiview has beat all Corn thirteen to twelve. It was ugly,
it was close, but it counted, and you had Mississippi
Valley being destroyed by Jackson State forty two to three,
and I take that back forty two to three. West
Mississippi Valley and Jackson State beat Alabama A and M
(08:11):
something like fifty six to twenty. They beat them pretty thoroughly.
But all that the dust settles down to this, all
corn will be taking on Jackson State for this final
game of the season. All Corn State has been playing
a lot better these past couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
It's a rival game.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
They can hold it down against Jackson I've seen stranger things.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Let's just go into the world of hypothetical thinking.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
If somehow all Corn State could hold off Jackson State
this weekend and the Veryview A and M University Panthers
take care of business against the Mississippi Valley State Delta
Devils this weekend. By the way, you can listen to
(09:06):
that game on the open Mic Broadcast Network. Kickoff will
be at two pm Central Time on the open Mic
Broadcast YouTube channel or by way of our regular line
at Theobnradio dot com, or you do is quick listen
live and be able to listen and enjoy the game.
(09:28):
But here back to the issue at hand. The Prairieview
A and M University Panthers would have to beat Mississippi
Valley by at least twenty three points for a chance
(09:48):
of even looking in the direction of hosting the SWAG
Championship game.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Now, either way, they're going to be there.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
But man, wouldn't it be sweet.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
To be able to host the game?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
And I'm saying that loose cheat because we still didn't
have strong numbers this last week game against the Golden
Lions for whatever the reason, it was nice weather. Now
I'm gonna have my Debbie Downer moment. It was reported
that seven thousand plus people were at that game, and
(10:27):
anybody who's gonna be honest know there was nowhere remotely
to have in seven thousand people in attendance. Now they
mayor has seven thousand people in and at out the
area for tailgating, but in that stadium there was not
seven thousand people.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
But I'm not gonna harp on that.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
This is a marvelous Monday and we're gonna stay focused
on the good things. But the very view and M
University Panthers are sitting in the Catbirds and they have
some work to do, and what better team to do
it than against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. For
(11:10):
the past couple of seasons, they've had the Panthers' number
for whatever reason, went in two out of three. So
what better statement to make at home Senior Day, People's
Senior Day where you can get a chance to support
these young men in their endeavors for the twenty twenty
(11:30):
five campaign, the last hurrah at home potentially get out
there and support and show it. And my plea to
the PV students, let's get out here and support your
co laborers within the educational world of higher learning and
(11:51):
get out here and let's support these Panthers for their
final home game.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
It's done.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
It's set TV Nation ready to represent in the Swag
Championship twenty twenty five edition, and we'll be right there

You'll have everything that you need.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Don't forget it's time to support the Puririeview Athletic Club
and the Prairieview Panthers with a chance of putting one thousand,
seven hundred and fifty or two hundred and fifty dollars
dollars in your hands by way of gift card. Simply
supporting Prairieview Athletic Club and their annual raffle. Your last
(12:52):
chance to get some tickets and have the winner announced
at the third quarter of the Mississippi Valley State Game.
Or you can actually win and don't even have to
be in the presence, but you gotta be able to
make your purchase before the week is over. With the
number again three four six seven nine six seven six
(13:14):
nine zero, the time has gone where I must ected
stage left. I am the radio guy, doctor Mike Prints,
and you guys be blessed, and we'll see you on
the other side.
