Speaker 1 (00:02):
And welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to another episode of
e Yale I said it with brother Ben, Brother Jack,
and yours truly doctor Mike. Gentlemen, how are you doing today? Great?
Doing good, superb, superb, superb, superb. Well, we got us

(00:26):
a Western Division title. We got one more game. That's
an important game. I'll explain in just a little bit
at least try to explain in a little bit. But
before we get into all the great, do you want

(00:46):
to give your grades? We want to hear what being
got on his on his mind heart today.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
First, I'm gonna start open the door.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I was gonna let then go ahead and give his grade.
But if you want me to go ahead and give
a grade, I can't.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah, God, go first.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Uh you know we ain't got to keep who is outolated.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Okay, Well, I don't want us to get any big heads.
But I have an A plus on the offense, I
have a A plus on the defense.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
And special teams.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
I go ahead and give a a minus minus. But
I like the fact that from beginning to end, we
didn't we didn't let ar guitar Pine Bluff get any
type of momentum. We just stayed on the grind from
beginning to end. So uh, but I don't want this

(01:44):
grade to get to our heads on this last game.
I just want us to have that same mentality that
we had this past week.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
So those are my my three grades for the three levels.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
Okay, well, I can't give him an A plus. I'm
kind of like the coach. I found some areas that
we can still improve in. You know, once you get
an A plus, there's pretty much nothing else that you can
do of to make another A plus. So I'm gonna

(02:21):
give him a B plus.

Speaker 7 (02:27):
I really I'm gonna go back.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
I'm gonnaive him am be minus.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'm gonna give him be mine overall or overall.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:33):
Okay, And when I say I'm saying the whole team concept,
I really think that we need to we needed to.
I'm kind of practice on our field goal kicking.

Speaker 7 (02:47):
I think.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
I'm not reading the horoscope or nothing like that, but
I really believe the field goal kicker he's gonna have
an opportunity to take us to.

Speaker 7 (03:01):
The promised Land.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
I don't know why I keep thinking that, but over
the last couple of weeks, I feel like the field
goal kicker he's gonna get a shot, and I'm hoping
that he will be prepared for when his opportunity comes up.
And right now we're not really using the field goal kicker.
For whatever reason, we don't have to use it, but

(03:23):
I just think that we're gonna need to and I
don't want him to go into a certain situation and
he's missed the field goal two or three times, so
I just I think it's some importancy, you know, in
that situation.

Speaker 7 (03:37):
The running game was a little off.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
I know we had.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
The freshman, you know, he was able to uh score
two touchdowns, but collectively, you know, running back number two,
running back number three, they didn't really produce compared to
what they had produced in previous games. So I think

(04:01):
mister McDowell number twenty four and the new young man
from Alabama number fifteen, I forgot his name, Bird, Okay, Bird,
they didn't really do as much. But in this game,
when you're passing the way you know we were passing,
it is under damnables. But I see a little more improvement,
you know, from the running game. I'm somewhat nick picking

(04:25):
because as I'm thinking about the coach, he said, I
can always find some room for improvement. So that's kind
of how I'm kind of nick picking on the situation.
I'm thankful that Cam didn't throw any inceptions, but at
the same time, I still feel like, you know, the

(04:46):
other quarterback quarter he came in, and when he came in,
we were a little counting in a little some mud.
And so again, I just think there's some room for
improvement because we're we're headed. We're gonna need everybody. You know,
We're gonna need the water boys, We're gonna need.

Speaker 7 (05:08):
Everybody.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Almost it's the wrong thing, but we're gonna need everybody.
From a coaching standpoint, I would give us an A plus.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I think from what I've seen, UH coach has really.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
Put his blueprint, you know, on the on the team,
and I really appreciate that we don't want to go
into the old, the past, this or that, but I
think some areas where we might have lost our cool
in some situations. I think you can see his leadership
in his demeanor to where you see his blueprint. From

(05:50):
that standpoint, so I'm gonna give us a B minus.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I gave a performance of an A plus like Jack
dominant home performance, and they're peaking and cresting at the
right time. We still got to finish off the season
with some a lot on the line, way more than

(06:13):
what people are seeing on the surface, but we'll talk
about that this year. What you got being as far
as what's on your mind and heart.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Before we moved to ben I just wanted to kind
of go over the team stats and give give a kudos.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
So we had total yards.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
We had over six hundred and forty four total yards,
three hundred and fifty six yards and passing two hundred
and eighty eight yards in rushing and out of forty
one attempt so we were averaging seven yards a carry.
So I just wanted to give kodos to that. And

(06:50):
then on the penalties, we only had six penalties for
fifty seven yards compared to Augustas Pine Bluff who had
nine penalties for one hundred and two.

Speaker 8 (07:03):
Yards, So we helped them to one hundred and seventy.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Three yards rushing, we helped them to eighty yards passing,
So I just wanted to give the team kudos on
that on those steps.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yes, a defense has been consistent all season on That's
what I said, that the offense coming together at the
right time of year makes it look like a pretty
bright future for the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I agree with it.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Really don't have too much to say other than.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I would throw out there.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
My thank you, my appreciation. During this time, a period
when we have so many alumni that are overly focusing
on one issue underfocusing on other issues.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
I just want to publicly this send.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
A shout out because I know I personally and other people,
I'll just keep it with eyes. I personally have kind
of given him a little hard rubbing.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
The athletic director, but I will say that.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
He did something this weekend that I had not seen.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
In other athletic directors. He basically showed his enthusiasm on
the field. But that's not the part I really want
to focus on. He thought he showed his enthusiasm in
the stand and I thought, wow, you know, he's really
becoming or has been.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Involved in.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
The the energy level of the football team.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
I know a lot of times the coach is always
talking about, you know, how good the let director that
we have, So you know, just like I can kind
of think of some bad things that he's done, today
is the day of talking about you know, mister Golf,
I'll show you I want to give you my appreciation
and my thanks for your visionary as bringing the football

(09:19):
coach to campus. And then I also wanted to I
know some people are you know, killing coach.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
I want to publicly also, you know, say I appreciate Viv.
That might not be a lot of people in the stands,
as I've told some other people, but there are people
that are in the stands.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
There are people that are supporting you.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
And so while we have the nat sayers who want to,
you know, talk about who's not, I'd rather just focus
on those who are. And so again I just want
to give a quick shout out to the president, the
athletic director, and to the coach.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Their successes so far.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
I don't want to say success of the Western Conference
because I feel like we have bigger fish to fry.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
So I'm just going to stay on our successes. So
farth issue.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Okay, we was there was another bullet point on your notes.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
No, I gave three bullet points and in one note
success from the president, the athletic.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Director, and the coach and also the players.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Okay, okay, now, of course, what's going to be my pet? Peeve?
Then prevery advances to the championship. People gonna come from
drolls all around saying who you rooting for PVU And

(10:46):
that's a wonderful thing. But in the case if we
have to go on the road to Jackson which was
looking like could be them showing up there is good.
But once again, when we talk about money making, those
financial and the sports world go around, there'll be a

(11:07):
lot of money left at Jackson State's table versus left
at PV's table. Okay, but that's neither here nor there.
They are advancing. But I want to talk about there
is an opportunity. I don't know if you guys were
aware of it, that prayer of you could still end
up hosting the championship game. And it's all going to

(11:31):
be predicated on this weekend. Now. Of course, part of
the tie breaking process throughout the Southwestern Study Conference is
hit to head competition. Due to the fact that Prairie
View and Jackson State did not meet on the gridiron,
they would have to go to common opponents. Now they

(11:54):
both have four common opponents on the table, and of
course the one that sticks out the most is the
Alabama State. Alabama State beat Perview by three, lost to
Graum I mean, not the Graunming, but the Jackson State
by three. But if you look at it from that point,

(12:16):
then Jackson State would host. But then you have common opponents.
Jackson State beats Alabama A and M. Prairieview beats Alabama
A and M pravy one I believe forty eight to five,
and Jackson State won something like forty two or something

(12:41):
like that to three. They beat them pretty good, They
beat them pretty good. Then you have both of them
are playing the other counterparts to of course, the lost
to Alabama State, but Prairieview beat All Coins thirteen to twelve.
Jackson closes with all Corn this weekend in a rival

(13:04):
game that technically All Corn could win. Okay, But in
the event that Jackson State does win, Jackson State point
margin of victory over All Corn is going to play
a critical role in what Prairie View does against Mississippi Valley.

(13:29):
Now as it stood right now, Prairie View would have
to beat Mississippi Valley by at least twenty three points.
If the Braves were to beat Jackson State, that would

(13:50):
be oh so sweet because then we would have won
the hit the head competition. As far as beating All Corn.
Now it's really going to be predicated that we open
up full PRODULEM And as old Jack would say and
Old Ben would say, we're gonna have to really put
bell to ass to Mississippi Valley this weekend. And when

(14:15):
I say belt to ass, I'm talking about thirty plus
points of victory to really snatch this thing and play
the championship game at home. How do you guys feel
about that?

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Hey, you're only really talking about Jackson State in prayer view,
so you're automatically just eliminating because Jackson State loses the
Alabama State or would that be a breakdown off?

Speaker 1 (14:43):
That's not going to be. That's not gonna matter because
Jackson State beat Alabama State head the head. Okay, and
Jackson State, like I say, now, the only way Jackson
st if they would not be in the mix if
they lose and Alabama State wins. Okay. But either way, now,

(15:10):
if Alabama State wins out and Jackson loses, then we
have to go to Montgomery because they beat us hit
to head. H So the question is do you think

(15:32):
it could happen that Prairie ends up hosting the game.
Anything possible? Like Kevin Garnett, would say.

Speaker 9 (15:42):
So.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Kevin Garnett, Okay, thanks for that reference. Wow. Now, now
Ben has been trying to play. I don't know what
you've been trying for. I don't even know what words
to even add to it. So I'll ask you, Jack

(16:05):
right now, right now, how do you see Pray Review
measuring up against Jackson State? What are the strengths and
the weaknesses that Perview could successfully beat Jackson State? Whether
it's on the road or at home.

Speaker 10 (16:23):
They're both very compatible. I mean, looking at our common components,
it looks like we're been winning or losing the around
the thing.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
No, no, no, no, no, no, Jack, That's not what
I'm asking you. I'm asking you head the head Prairie
View against Jackson based on what Jackson State has been doing,
based on what Perview has been doing. What are the
strengths that PRAVI you have going into that matchup? And

(16:56):
what are the concerns?

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 7 (17:05):
You want to come back to that one?

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Uh team?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Like I mean, like I said, we're.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Both both teams are are scoring about the same both
teams defense seems to be uh solid as.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
Well, So it's kind of like uh.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Because like hey, it's ah you know that's why they
play the game, type of type of atmosphere.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
For your line, yeah, I think I'll try. I actually
think a benefit for us is our defense is being strong.
Regardless of what the nay sayers are saying. We've held
individual teams who have supposedly at the time, the better

(17:53):
running back.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
We held them in check.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
But I wouldn't you take for granted that the fact
that Jackson State does have three running backs that just
ran one hundred yards each. That's three hundred yards. So
I wonder how could that wear down or cut that
word down the defense.

Speaker 7 (18:16):
But I'm not for sure what I do know and
I did see.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
With my own eyes this past weekend. Again, I want
to stay very neutral because I don't want to give
anybody any bulletin board material.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Who might listen to your show.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
But I do know that that was built the ass
handed out. I do know that there was wood to
astro turf hand it out, and I do know that
at least three people left the game and they needed.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Some assistance because their.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
Left leg and the white leg they was a little wildly.
So I'm saying, have to say if the wood is
laid to these running backs, because there's one e's the
size of me or Jack.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
So you put that wood.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
To him, I think he's easily able to be taken out.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
It's just that one.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
They do have two backs that are pretty nice sighed.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
I don't think we've really had anybody that height, size,
weight that we're gonna go against. But both of them
have fun with the ball. I don't think that they've
tasted the wood, the metal, the belt, whatever you want
to call it. So it'll be interesting to see when
someone really put a thud, you know. Uh, I know

(19:40):
Jack talking about the Kevin Kevin Garnett, but I'm gonna
just say, you know, Mike Tyson was knocking people out
until someone put that put that uh that punch on him,
and then all of a sudden he realized he was
gonna fight. So I don't think that they Yeah, I
don't think that they really. I don't think they've been
tested for the most part. But so there will be

(20:02):
a test. And one thing I do know that coach
Jack said they gonna show up.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Won't be no talking.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
It's gonna be some plaques and we'll see can they
stand what they talk about. Another thing is I think
it will have to take in consideration is.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
They're very conscious of not.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Saying anything about this guy more.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Morton.

Speaker 6 (20:29):
I don't know if they are nervous. I don't know
if they know that he's not going to be able
to come back.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
But they're very hush hushed, but they.

Speaker 7 (20:36):
Don't want nobody to know what's going on.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
And I'm thinking that if he does not come back,
this legitimate freshman, they have the red shirt.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
I actually think.

Speaker 6 (20:45):
That some thud could be put on him too, because
he likes to try to run the ball, kind of
like the quarterback from Grammar. And again everybody's wishing that,
you know, he recovers well or whatever the situation is.
But I actually think, you know, some thud could happen
to where he could be in the same situation. He

(21:05):
could be taken out of the game. When it comes
to the wire receivers a privy. I still believe that
our tight ends one of them.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
He needs to go to.

Speaker 6 (21:17):
The Lester Hayes School of Theology, terminology, stickology, whatever you
want to call it, because they need some gum on
his hands. I don't know, some super group, gorilla group,
whatever it is, the ball, because the ball he is
in and it still looks like it's got some slime

(21:39):
on it or something.

Speaker 7 (21:40):
I just be laughing.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
So sometimes he catches the ball like me and that
was a good catch. And sometimes the basic catch it
just he hit his in, he hit his top of head,
next thing.

Speaker 7 (21:51):
You know, is on the ground.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
So I think the tight end for us, that that's
going to be a very could be a decided factors
that middle for Jackson State. As I've been kind of
doing my little homework, it's available for number eight, number five,
number thirty three.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
And then you notice these last couple.

Speaker 7 (22:16):
Of games that we've.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
Had bid that he has maybe his coach camp, I
mean not his coach, maybe Cam's dead and not playing
the desert has had to sit down conversation with him.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
But over these last two games he has.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
Performed a lot better. I've kind of wondered if he's
performing better because the coach has decided to keep at
least one of the tight end to kind of give
him a little extra blocking, because if he has just
a little extra one to two seconds to process, he'll
kill him. I don't want to say it like that,

(22:52):
but like I hear Ocho say on one of the
little nightly shows when he talks about again that you're
talking about Kevin Durant. So I'm gonna talk about the
guy for since then added a quarterback. If Kim had
some time, he'll kill him. I mean a cold bloody
kill him.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
He can read the defense.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
And throw the ball to the right person. He just
needs to have that extra little time. And then you know,
you think the year is almost over. Unless he's sick,
unless he didn't pass his classes, unless he's been gingched.

Speaker 7 (23:30):
I don't know if.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
Y'all have noticed, but oh, I'm gonna leave prayer of
you in the middle of the night when ain't nobody
paying attention.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
You ain't seen no.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Pards of number one or number eleven, whatever his number was,
the wide receiver, the left president.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Yes, so I think the defensive back.

Speaker 6 (23:54):
I think we're gonna be able to match up very well.
They love to talk about remembered, but I saw a
little little show about him Jackie.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
Only five three five folk. You put a little.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
Wood on somebody, five three five folk, you put your
helmet in his stomach, that'll take some of that air
out of all of that little running freely. And I
think that's exactly what's gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
He's not being tested. I mean the games that I've seen.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Let me let me interject this for I mean that's
because a person's try out with three that means he's
not a football player.

Speaker 7 (24:29):
Oh, I didn't say that.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Well, you know, you act like shigns is the only
thing that matters when it comes to foot No, I.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
Was just validating that the young man size did. I'm
validating that. I think he hasn't been tested. I'm validating that.
I've seen some people they didn't get knocked out. I
wasn't wishing ill on nobody, But this past weekend I
saw some people that got but belt the ass and

(24:58):
they were wobbling.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I understand that, but I mean you see big dudes
that get wibbled. Football is a violent sport, and it
doesn't that Really, the smaller you are, the less chance
you got to being impacted severely because everybody else is
so big and they got to get so low to
get to that critical point on you. But I hear
what you're saying, but shines everything.

Speaker 6 (25:24):
I'm just talking about about the add This is my
line up. So I think the word is that we
are little, a little soft, and the word is that
they are the Jolly Green Giants, And so all we
have to do is come, which I believe we will

(25:45):
show up, play the game on the field, and it
doesn't take but one rock the hicc of life in
the eye one time for us the slave the giants,
And that's what I'm believing is gonna happen on one
day at one time. I think it will be a
field goal that will win the game. I don't want

(26:07):
it to be there close, but if it is, that's
you mean.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
I'm just being Our.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
Kicker needs to just keep on practicing, keep on giving
him an opportunity so he can know that he can
do it.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
But I believe that.

Speaker 6 (26:22):
The goliath, the JSU, will be slaves, and not only slade,
he will be slaid at their football field. So for
all of the preview fans who they sew up in
or or about, you know, attendance, I can only imagine

(26:45):
for all of the JSU fans who might be their thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, Debney,
whatever number y'all want to throw out there, how disappointed
you can be if you lose the game on the
last second field goal, or if as you said earlier, Prince,
they are coming around, they are peaking at the right time.
You let them put You let them put fifty.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
On Jackson State. I don't think Jackson State at.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
This time, they haven't scored more than over the last
two games, they haven't scored more than thirty points.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Actually have been.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
Less than thirty points.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
So you let Prairie put fifty.

Speaker 7 (27:23):
In the event.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
The game would be over. The attendance can be all
y'all want it to be. It'll be a lot of
You would think that they probably playing in Prairiew Stadium.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Since y'all like to talk about how many people not
going to the.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
Game, can you imagine having forty people forty thousand people?

Speaker 1 (27:41):
You know, it's amazing to me how you downplayed the attendance.
But then you always want to talk about attendance on
the road. But you know that's need hold on.

Speaker 7 (27:53):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
On, hold on, hold on, hold on. Please, here's something
that is really really important we need to learn. However,
many show up at the game, understand when the cheer
you do not holler its third down. When the Panthers

(28:16):
had a ball off third down, That is not the
time you holler that You holler it's third down when
your opponent has the ball, so the fans that are
there can make all kind of noise to hopefully cause chaos,
bad communication. And you keep saying that it's no big
deal on it, that all those things are part of
home field advantage, And like I said, you want to

(28:39):
downplay it. But that's okay. It's still is relevant. But
my question is this, with the lack of home attendance,
I personally believe forever you would play better on the road.
I would love to see them play at home, okay,
but I think they would do better on the road
because the fan does not know how to behave at home.

(29:05):
No matter if it's five thousand showing up fifteen thousand
showing up. You got to know when to cheer. I
was talking to somebody the other day, but it's irritating
to hear it's third down. Why they keep saying that
our fans need to be educated on how to participate

(29:25):
and help the team. However many are showing up. Now
you think that's not important, but that is important, my.

Speaker 7 (29:32):
Brother, Well, I doubt that they're hearing, you know.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
For all the I'm gonna just keep it as I
hear you know, the NY says that I only say
that Prairier twelve fans. I don't think it's the fans
that are talking about the third down. So if you
want to make a statement, I think you should make
the statement on who the person is that's doing that.

Speaker 7 (29:53):
But it is what it is.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
No, no, no, no. The one thing I will say is,
and I do I give a coach a plus on this,
and I'm sure he would prefer to have more fan participation.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
But what he has said, not.

Speaker 7 (30:11):
Out of my mouth, not out of your mouth.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
He says all they need.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
It's what's in the locker room.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
So be it that.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
If it's a lot of people at Praise You or
no people at pres you, be it. If it's a
lot of people at our corn and no people at
our corn, all they need is what they have in
the locker room.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
And as I told.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
Someone, is it said that more people are not coming
to the game.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
I believe that one hundred percent.

Speaker 6 (30:44):
But as I said before, and I almost say it
every time I hear it, all a person can be responsible.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
For is did you go to the game?

Speaker 6 (30:53):
And all I can say is for me, I've gone
to the game, And for the one who wants criticize
those who are not coming, I don't see none of
them people talking about.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Well what was your reason? Did you have needed gas?

Speaker 6 (31:10):
Did you need money? So we can always talk about
why someone is not, but all you can really do
is are you doing your part?

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Did you go?

Speaker 7 (31:20):
And if you did your part, that's all you can't
really worry about.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
But as far as the the my grade, I think
our defense is being underestimated. I think if we can
control their running attack, that that exit.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
If we can say one of the top defenses of
being underestimated in the conference.

Speaker 6 (31:45):
I could easily say that in that if you place
someone like we just did this past weekend and you
lose both of your starting quarterbacks and you basically you're
not even and it wasn't even a test for us,
it's hard to kind of gauge where you are now.

(32:07):
I know some people they get caught up and saying
we scored fifty points to their nine points. It's easy
to say, oh, we just ran to score up, but
it could also give you a false belief, because what
happens is if you just believe in your height. When
you're playing against the Week of schools, there will be
a time when you're gonna play someone that is at

(32:27):
your same level, and if you don't lie to the
occasion in that situation, then you gave yourself false hope.
So that's how I think, as coach says, after the
game is over, we're going straight.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Back to see what we've.

Speaker 6 (32:42):
Done wrong, learn from those, build on that improve compared
to like hearing the naysayers than what they saying here
in our fans time, like oh we ran to score
up on somebody.

Speaker 7 (32:52):
You just got to be very level headed.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Want to hold on? Hold on? Okay, you're confusing me
just a little bit. I don't know if he confused
with Jeff. I ask you, how are they underestimating the defense?
That's a top tier defense in the conference? Okay? And
then you were talking about running up the score. You
were complaining that Prairie ran up to score last week.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
I think they did run the store it last week.

Speaker 7 (33:21):
So what is your no.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
The point is they need to run if they're going
to try to host this game, it's gonna ball down
to points.

Speaker 9 (33:32):
So I could go with Joe, your your rat.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
Now you're talking about if they want to host the game,
but you complain about the fans, and then I don't
care if they host, then I care that they win
the championship.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Did who does not? Who does not want to host
the game? With all this at state being we talk
about we're looking for money. We got fundraisers going on
all over the place. By the way, you can out
your raffle ticket for this weekend's game against mississip Valley
four dollars tickets. You can win a thousand, seven hundred
and fifty or two hundred and fifty dollars. If you want

(34:05):
more information on how you can do that down three
four six seven nine six seven six nine zero Like
I got that one in. But anyway, all the money
that's on the table if they host the championship game,
if three thousand show up, if forty thousand show up,
they get all of that money. They don't have to
split the gate with Jackson, they don't have to split

(34:27):
the gate with the conference. They get all of that.
And you tell me eighty Golf don't want that. You
tell me that Coach Jackson don't want that. You tell
me that PV don't deserve that. So don't tell me
it don't matter.

Speaker 6 (34:40):
Well, first of while I didn't tell you none of
the stuff that you just said, you.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Just said it don't matter as long as they make
it to the championship. You just said that.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
My point of reference when I made that statement, Well,
I'm gonna try to go back and say to you.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Don't have to go back and say that we know
what you say that if you were gonna.

Speaker 9 (34:59):
I'm gonna say it said Jack put you to the sideline,
just as Bacon. If you're gonna be a.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
Complaining person talking about people in the sin, then you're
complaining because you're saying that there's nobody in there.

Speaker 9 (35:11):
But on the other.

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Hand, you saying, well, you know what, I want us
to host the game regardless of who's in the sins.
You can't have it both ways, because if you want
to hold, then just hope and stop talking about who's showing.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Up in it.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Okay, then, and going back to your point, if we're
going host, I got to drive whoever in front of
me in the ground by scoring as many points as
I can to get in that position.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
You gave that analogy that as a.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Man that's in the rule books. Brother, point differential.

Speaker 9 (35:42):
I'm not saying about the ruble.

Speaker 6 (35:43):
I'm just saying, we can we agree that they're gonna
paying attest.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Again, that's already been established.

Speaker 9 (35:52):
Can we agree that? Well, I think you said it earlier.

Speaker 6 (35:56):
If I heard you correctly, you feel that they played
better on the road.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
I did say that, Yes I did.

Speaker 11 (36:01):
I said, I said, wow, regardless of where they play
at home, I want us to win if they play
on the road, I want us to win.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
So I'm not saying that I.

Speaker 9 (36:14):
Don't want us to win period. I'm saying I want
us to win. I don't care where it's located.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Ben, have you ever heard me say I did not
want to pray of you to win?

Speaker 6 (36:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (36:24):
No, I haven't heard you say okay then, so no,
no listen, Ben, No, listen, man, listen, because I don't
know why this is hard for you to comprehend. I
want us to win on the field, and I want
us to win in the dollars that come and generated
from that game. What I'm saying is the money that
is generated from the championship game, it's not split divided.

(36:48):
It all stays at home. It all stays at home,
so beneficial for us it's more beneficial for us to
host it because if you go on and go be
at Jackson. Yeah, you travel to Jackson, you spent your money,
you was there in attendance, but every dime you spent

(37:09):
will stay in Jackson. We don't win in that category. Yeah, yeah,
make it plain, make it plean?

Speaker 7 (37:29):
Is this plain?

Speaker 9 (37:30):
This ain't nothing new?

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Jack was, Okay, you do we have any Are we
doing pics this week?

Speaker 4 (37:37):
Man?

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Because this is not getting anywhere? Are we gonna do
some pics this week?

Speaker 9 (37:40):
You know what my pick?

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Jack is?

Speaker 9 (37:42):
Whoever y'all pick? I picked?

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Okay, Well, I tell you what. We don't even have
to make picture this week because it don't even matter.
Don't even matter as a matter of fact. Uh, you
got any clothing, thoughts and comments anybody?

Speaker 9 (37:56):
Yeah, you can have mine. You have all of my time.

Speaker 8 (37:59):
I give you all mysy.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
So we don't want to go through the pick. You
go through the picks, man, he said, whoever gonna be
the option? So he's gonna be me and you Jack?
He hit the putty bowl anyway, So let's go ahead
with the picks.

Speaker 7 (38:12):
You are?

Speaker 1 (38:14):
That's all I can say. Okay, wow, wow, Okay, I
was satisfied. Yeah, that's okay, that's okay though, that's okay,
that's okay, that's okay, that's okay. That is quite okay,
that is quite okay. Okay. Yeah, let's say, yeah, last

(38:36):
week we have, uh, we don't need to worry about
last week. We know who's last. Let's go pick the picks.
Let's make the picks. Okay, let me just go with
the total. Uh no, no, we don't even know that
we know who's last. Let's go.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
It's between me and you anyway, Jack, he don't matter, right, right, right, right, okay,
let's let's go on and uh eat this thing up.
Then all right, so this week we're going into week
twelve already thirteen. Yeah, you're right, actually week thirteen. Man,

(39:12):
So our first matchup, we have Arkansas pine Bluff at
Alabama State.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Give me a su yes, then pine Bluff. He got
pine Bluff. He picking the opposite. He just said, you
just said, whoever we picked, you're picking the opposite. Okay, okay,
but he just said that he did. He did.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Come on, come on, now we got Alabama A and
M at Texas Southern.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Wow, Alabama A and M. I'm taking A and M.
I'm taking A and M. I'm taking A and M.

Speaker 8 (39:54):
Okay, Texas, I'm going with the Tigers as well. At home.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
All right now we have.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
The Thune Cookman at Florida, A.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
And M with Throne Cookman.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Okay, family, Yeah, and I have family as well. And
the matchup that we were talking about that could decide
for us if we're hosting or if we're going to Alabama.

(40:37):
We have all Corn State at Jackson State.

Speaker 7 (40:43):
I want all Corn.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
I'm taking all coin, but I know probably what's gonna happen,
but I'm taking all coins for the help of the Panthers.

Speaker 8 (40:51):
And I'm taking all Corn as well Jackson State, Okay.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
And the marque back chip that we have. We have
Mississippi Valley State coming to the Great State of Texas
to play the Mighty Prairie A and M University Panthers.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Pass about thirty five mm pants is about thirty eight.

Speaker 9 (41:23):
Ben Panthers about forty.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Okay, there we have it all right? Any close and
Thrombs comments.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Uh like I mentioned before, Hey, uh, Panthers, I gave
you a plus at all three levels or A and
all three levels. Let's not get too big headed too far.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Ahead.

Speaker 3 (41:52):
You know, let's uh, let's don't do not take your
foot off the pedal. Do not show miss the Valley
state any type of momentum. They have come in our
house a few two years in the past, come in
and upset us. I want to say at least a

(42:13):
couple of times, so let's not repeat that. That's to
belt to ask and take care of business.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Say it again, Jack, Say it again, Jack?

Speaker 9 (42:36):
You know Ben I concur.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
All right with that, Ben said, don't forget. The Panthers
