(00:21):
We do have the twenty four hour message text line
that is available at nine three six four six three
two four zero five. With all that being established, has
jump right in two today's episode. Well, it is the
dawn before Senior Day for the Prairie View A and
(00:42):
M University papters football program as they'll be hosting the
Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. Of course, kickoff time will
be at two pm Central Standard time. We are encouraging
all who can to come out and be a part
of Senior Day on the heel, but just in case
(01:05):
you cannot make it, we will be producing the game
live in audio format on our website at obnadio dot com.
Simply click the listen live link and enjoy the broadcast,
or if you'd rather listen by way of YouTube, you
can listen on our YouTube channel at the open Mic
(01:28):
Broadcast network. Now all week we have.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Been talking about the probabilities and the possibilities of Prairieviews
somehow getting some magical dust to be able to host
the championship game, which right now is looking like it
would be against Jackson State. Now, although there's a slim chance,
there's still a chance. And with that, you have to
(01:54):
go in there, Blazon to try to make whatever you
can from your end happen. And with all that being said,
when you look at the probabilities of PV hosting this
championship game, it seems inviting, sounds inviting, in fact feels inviting.
(02:16):
But the true factor is they make it to the
championship game regardless. Now how they're gonna match up will
be determined to be seen. But so far, so far,
so far, so far, it's looking pretty favorable for the
Panthers if you really really want to be honest about it.
But we don't want to count our chickens before the
(02:37):
eggs hatch. They must take care of Mississippi Valley State
Delta devils. And the key to that is to stay aggressive,
to stay on point, to stay hungry, and to stay intentional.
And when I say to stay intentional to make sure
that you're focused in on the main thing, and focusing
(03:00):
on the main thing, then there should not be a
major hurdle for PV Nation to be having a victorious
celebration day, not only for the Panthers winning their ninth
game of the season, but having a victorious senior day
heading into the championship. Now, of course, the hot topic
(03:25):
all season long, and not just this season but for
a few seasons now is the inconsistency of attendance on
the heel in particular, and it's here or there to
make the tomatow, how did you hide to this? Lean
on whichever side you're going to lean on. But it's
just like the old American Express membership has its privileges
(03:49):
or does make a difference. A tendency is important. It's
not the main thing, but it is a major thing,
and it does help energize student athletes, it help energize
coaching staff, and heck, it even helps energize the community.
So it is important that we can those who can,
(04:10):
who are willing and able to come out and support
the Panthers. And it's almost like a hypocritical vibe, if
you would, when the people don't show up at home,
but then want to show up on the road where
there's this illusion that the PV nation is out and
about here and strong. And I'm not doubting and challenging
(04:33):
that PV Nation is not proud supporters, because PV Nation
is a very proud institution and very proud supporters, but.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
We need to have that rallying crime.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
In particular this weekend and of course Championship Saturday. Now,
the thing about showing up a Championship Saturday in the
case of if it's Prairie View in Jackson State, if
Jackson State ends up hosting this game, then of course
PV Nation is going to load up the vans, load
(05:07):
up the buses and the RV's and whatever it's going
to take to get there. That's a beautiful thing. But
the economy or the economic impact would be more favorable
for Jackson because all of the coin that will be
spent to get there, to lodge, to meal, buy tickets,
(05:29):
all of that will stay in Jackson, Mississippi. There is
no kickback for PV Nation having to go on the road.
But once again, it is what it is. It is
one of the beautiful designs of the Swack Football Championship game.
The winner or the host gets to win or the
(05:50):
potential winning in both ways on the field and in
the ticket box office where the finances are alli talied up.
So it is a lot impactful to it. And we're
in an era right now where finances are critical and
every little bit makes a difference. So let's get out
(06:13):
here and do what we can to help support. And
here's another bonus for you guys if you need some
motivation of coming out to support the Panthers this weekend.
The Praiview Athletic Club has been supporting PV nation since
nineteen eighty six, and throughout their support and consistency, the
(06:33):
Perviy Athletic Club has making it has been making it
possible to support every sport that the Panthers compete in.
Don't care what it is, the Periview Athletic Club has
been a supporter for Prairie View Athletics. Now there's an
opportunity for you, as a fan, supporter or just an
(06:55):
individual looking for a good game, you can get an
opportunity to win one thousand, seven hundred and fifty or
two hundred and fifty dollars in gift cards with only
one four dollars purchase buy a Raffle ticket which supports
the endeavors of the Prairiview Athletic Club, which goes to
