(00:23):
Check out the website at obnradio dot com. All that
been establishing us jump right into today's episode. We want
to acknowledge the Prairieview Athletic Club and the Temple of
Refuge Ministry being our number one tier sponsors for our
(00:43):
content here at the open Mic Broadcast Network. Light Action.
As we get ready for twenty twenty five to come
to a conclusion, Men's basketball will be in action on tonight.
The Panthers will go up to road to take on
Texas A and M. That game will be on Monday
(01:08):
Night Action. After the abuse of my beloved Panthers from
Batchling Ruge Louisiana. What LSU did forty nine free throws
in one game. I still can't get over that. But nonetheless,
the Panthers to go out to try to get things
(01:29):
cleared and rectified. If I'm not mistaken. They're five and
seven right now, and I call it the fundraising season.
So the Pantss get ready to wrap up the twenty
twenty five campaign on the hardwood against the Texas A
and m Aggies, who are still reeling from their loss
(01:51):
against the Miami Hurricanes in the College football playoffs. I'm
not having any empathy on that. Do want to give
Congress gratulations to the Lady Aggie's for winning the National
Volleyball Championship. They did take care of Kentucky winning the championship,
(02:13):
so at least they did win a championship. Still eighty
six years in county since they've won on the football
grid iron. Meanwhile, the Panther's still holding it down even
though we came up short in the Celebration Bowl, representing
(02:35):
twenty five SWAC football champions. So I do feel a
little bit better in that. But since we're talking about football,
and I normally don't even go into professional ranking, but
I am flat out worn to the nub. I am
(02:57):
a still a fan of Ben is still a sand
since nineteen seventy two. Loved the consistency, simplicity, camaraderie of
the program in the organization's you know, operational standards. But man,
I am at my wits end on the rents will
(03:20):
wash and repeat method with my brother coach Tomlin. I mean, yeah,
consecutive seasons with no losing seasons, that's okay, but oh
my goodness, she had one job, man, one job and
(03:42):
failed to accomplish that. And before I hear it, well,
you know Shaduur. Yeah, Chaduor was the winning quarterback. Chador
did drive for a touchdown, but Shaduur was not the
difference maker in the results of that game. I don't
(04:03):
understand the thought pattern. If you're playing the number two
defense in the league, you get a turnover in their territory,
it's fourth and one, you're in your field goal kickers
range of ease. Yes, they missed a chip shot last week,
(04:28):
but that's not a norm. The importance of this game.
You take the points, especially off of a turnover, and
that decision ends up costing you towards the end because
the scenario is totally different. Now if you get that
field goal. With the way things have played out, there
(04:51):
was a back and forth game. Defensively flipping the field position,
you have the situation instead of it being fourth down
final series, you need a touchdown. It could have been
fourth down final series. All you need is a field goal.
If you take those three points, you're down at a
(05:15):
situation where it's ten to nine. A field goal gives
you the win and the AFC North title. Easier to
see it than done, I guess. But when you look
at the DNA of the organization and how they've operated,
why change partners when you get to the big ball.
(05:39):
If it's the same partner you've been going to each
and every sock hop, don't change now because you quote
unquote on a bigger stage as with the one that
brought you to the show. But that's neither here nor there.
And then all fairness is with the way the Ravens
and mister Henry, I'm gonna call him mister Henry, the
(05:59):
way he perform on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers. Man,
I'm rooting, but I don't know how hard it's going
to be. Yes, the Stillers will be at home, but
you're talking about momentum on the side of the Ravens.
Just total meltdown. But we'll see what the end's going
(06:22):
to be. I didn't got off of that I had
to get that out of my system, and I know
I'm going to be harassed by certain people that know
that I am a big stiller saying man, I was
just I went to bed. I literally went to be
at about three point thirty four o'clock yesterday and just said,
forget it, but we shall rise to fight again. Basketball
(06:46):
season will be kicking off where it's already kicked off,
but it'll be kicking off in meaning coming a couple
well about a week or so, well not even a
week or so, in a few days because before you
know it, January fifth to be here before you know it.
But we'll be giving you all our basketball insights with
(07:08):
coach Van Petaway. We still got to do some wrap
up with Coach Northern on the football season, going to
the all season deal and talk about some college football
playoff structures and things of that nature. So there's a
whole lot to fulfill here at the Oppen Mic Broadcast Network.
(07:29):
Want to thank you guys so much for a very
strong twenty twenty five. I cannot over emphasize how strong
the listening ship was for twenty twenty five. Truly thankful
for your participation spreading of the word for donations, clique
(07:54):
shares and everything that's involved, because it does take a
village to raise a child. In this term of usage,
our child is the story of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Our child. It is the Prairie View Adam University Panthers,
Texas Southern Tigers, sam You Rattlers, but Thune Cookman Wildcats.
(08:16):
You know the list of all of them that I
don't want to, let me go ahead and name them
all out, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Mississippi Valley All Corn State Braids,
Jackson State Tigers, Graanland State Tigers, the Southern Jags, Alabama
A and M Bulldogs, the Alabama State Hornets, Mississippi Valley
(08:37):
State Delta Devils. And I think I got everybody in
a partridge in a pear tree just to make sure
that there is so many nuggets within the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
And it's an honor of joy and a pleasure. We
don't get caught up in the trends. If you would
(09:01):
into the algorithms and this, that and the other. I
know that is the trending thing, that's the quote unquote
cool thing to do, the right now thing to do.
But we focus on telling the story the power of voice.
And for those who are are trending in the video world,
(09:24):
God bless your grade speed for you. But audio is
not going anywhere, and our numbers have proven that. Our
daily involvement with you the listener has proven that. And
we are truly, truly thankful and dedicated to that audio format.
(09:46):
And if the law says the saying and keeps giving
us the wheel, the drive and those who are willing
to listen, we are going to provide all we can
while we can, each and every day. Right here from
the Open Mic Broadcast Network, I am going to exit
stage left for right now, my time is far spent.
(10:08):
I'm looking my stealer black and gold wounds. I'm still
trying to heal from some Prairie View purple and gold wounds.
The hope that there'll be a horizon with the basketball
season and the soon to be baseball season for my
(10:28):
beloved Panthers, and we'll keep you covered every step of
the way. Once again, I want to thank the Prairiew
Athletic Club and the Temple of Refuge Ministries. If you
or your group like to be a sponsor, underwriter or
a Tier one sponsor. We have a twenty four hour
message line at nine three six four sixty three two
(10:49):
four zero five, or you can simply send us an
email at OMB network at gmail dot com. I am
the radio guy, doctor Mike Prince and until the next
time you guys, be blessed and we'll see you on
the other side.
