Its shade Yes was back back again. Ruby's back. Tell
a friend, what's up? Guys? I missed you guys, what's up?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's been so long. I thought you didn't.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Like me anymore. No, I just real life hit for
a little bit. So I just kind of like had
to take a step back. I want to reevaluate some things.
And I'm good.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
I would like to say I'm in a better place. Uh,
and you guys will be seeing a lot more of
me again, So like this is this is nice, Like
this is like, this is really nice.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So I'm glad you're back. It's been a while. Books.
This is going to be a pretty chill episode. We
just be chilling, we vibing couples, but mostly we're.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Stuff happening in a upstate. Yeah, yeah, some dope stuff
happening up there.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I think, Oh, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Well, I was gonna say for touring Wise, I think
like not like for twenty twenty four, but like show Wise,
in't twenty twenty five, Coupla Khan and kill Switch Engage
are coming to Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Look, you dude, do we have a date in near Virginia.
If they have a date, I might happen.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I gotta look, but I'm definitely going to that show.
And I know people are going to be like, you're
really going to go to a Coupla Khan show after
all that. Yes, yes, I am BRO. I hate BRO.
I just hate the fact that, like I can't like
(01:52):
listen to music without just like a person just adding
in their two cents or just making it seems like
they're a bad person. I don't know, it's just like
I don't know. But anyway, that's yeah, but that's not
what we're here for today.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
We're not. No, that's not what we're here for.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
We're here because I almost went into like a big
rant and I had to stopped myself.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
We're trying to be better. You got after me for
for being in my own way. I will get after
you for your rants because we'll be here for forty
five minutes talking about the same thing.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I ran a little too much, But anyway.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
You know what, it's okay.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
So I don't know so hard. I haven't been to
shows since like for my ID and I have been
really going to shows like that. I just went to
my first show last night. After I think it's been
a month. Actually I haven't been to shows but a
(02:55):
whole month. Wow, a whole month. Yeah, I didn't go
to anything shows, like a whole month. I didn't go
to the Nculus show that was in the began November,
I didn't go to There's just a lot of stuff
going on. November. I was moving, so it was like
moving getting settled. I couldn't really make the time to
(03:16):
go to shows, and so I had to like mentally
prepare myself for that. As much as I wanted to
go to shows, I was like, I can't go.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I mean, I get it. It's going to shows as
fun as it is. And as much as I want
to see all the homies play and see all the bands,
and I'll do all the things. I mean, sometimes you
gotta work. You got other stuff you gotta do. And
it's just with especially with like location for me is
(03:47):
a big thing because I live what like an hour
average away from pretty much every venue. Well I take
that back. There's a couple of Lynchburg. There was one
and the last show that I went to was actually
at a record store called Riverview Vinyl shout out to
the homies at Spin Kicker Booking. If you're listening to
(04:08):
this Love You John, I might go.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I might try and call the record store today and
see if they have a post Gen two by bring
me their edge. And I don't know. But I'm also
gonna be getting a tattooed tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
So it's just like it's gonna be that big money.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Oh well, it's my Christmas present to myself, and so
I'm just trying to like I want to like finish
my arm so I can like start everywhere else, because
that was like my goal in twenty twenty five, like
is to start tattooing everywhere else because it's about to
(04:53):
get It's it's literally getting close to that time where
like my arms are gonna be like full, so like
I have to be very like courteous of the pieces
I get because like it's on your body forever. I mean, like, hey,
I love it now, but like you know, what's to say,
Like I might like something else, but yeah, my arms
(05:15):
are almost done twenty twenty five, hopefully I can start
tattooing everywhere else.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
I have not been a tattoo and so it's been
way too long. It really sucks, but present to myself
is not a tattoo, but it is getting my fucking
hair done. Because if you have locks, you know you
have to get your maintenance done. And I slacked off
and now I look a hot mess. So I need
(05:43):
to get my hair done.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Think like I got like another maybe a couple more.
I probably got like a couple more weeks.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
See what happened was some things happened, And getting your
hair done by a professional who does get work costs money,
and therefore, at the time I cannot afford this individual's prices.
Not that they do bad work or anything, because they
do phenomenal work, and that's where I've been going to them. However,
(06:19):
if you want good quality product, you gotta pay for it.
At the time I couldn't do that. I went and
had someone helped me out with it, a friend that's
not a professional, but they know how to do lots,
which was fine, But now I need maintenance done, and
that person didn't know like like re inserting like all
(06:42):
of the loose hairs and stuff that and cleaning them
up because they like, my roots are fine because the
retwist is like still there, but everything else trash and
it's loose hairs, and it's frizzy, and it looks a
high mess. So my friend that helped me was like,
I can't, I can't do that, Like I know how,
(07:03):
but I wouldn't feel comfortable sending you out of my
house and not being completely proficient and knowing how to
do all that. So I'm all politely decline. So I
was like, fuck, so now I have an appointment though,
So yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Let's just go to my friend's house. I'm I'm still
I'm so I'm old school that I still go to
like someone's house and get my hair done.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
See, she started in her house, though she she worked
from being in her house to having a shop, so
and that's great for her. I'm so glad for her
that she has that, that she had that growth. And
actually I'm one of the only lot of clients that
she takes because she doesn't take a lot any more
locked clients anymore. So it's me and a couple of
(07:56):
other people. So but you know, it's all good. Get
there when we get there, but let's I don't think
we'll need to be talking about here because it's not
why we're here.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I know them, I'm super late, but fuck it. I
know Halloween's over and shit, but that doesn't stop Horrorwood
News updated. So in Horrorwood News, we also know that
Friday thirteenth was yesterday, So Spencer's and his team from
(08:33):
Ice nine Kills have made a nice little drop with
a collab of Actual Friday the movie itself and mixing
with Ice nine Kills. It's pretty dope, pretty dope shit.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
He really, I did not know that.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
It's pretty dope shit. I'm not gonna lie. I looked
at it. I looked at this morning because there was
a mask on there that I really want. But it's
like one hundred and seventy five dollars because it's hit man,
it's handmade, so I'm like, I understand.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I mean that's fair. I have one mask shout out
the Archaic Epidemic. I won a mask from them and
it was used in one of their music videos and
I think it was one of like three. Maybe I
want to say, I could be wrong. Yeah, but it's
(09:23):
really cool, but it's kind of creepy. It's just my
living room and Matthew thinks it's creepy, but I think
it's cool.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Also, my boy isn't until I Wake. Shout Out just
release their new album Renovate, I believe not. It was
on the sixth of December, I believe, and honestly that
album is fuck phenomenal. You should go listen to it.
My favorite song alcohol album is probably Catacombs, or if
(09:56):
I had the ass on there on accident. I'm sorry
about Catacomb catcombs.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
The title of the song. What is wrong with you?
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Don't don't do that, bro, I just I'm running out
for five hours of sleep right now. I'm trying my
best here. Guys.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
You're doing great, and I am no one to talk
because I am terrible about remembering the names of songs.
That's what playlists serve.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
For, dude. I actually found one Rain City Drive song
I've been looking for for like the past six months.
Oh and it's on this album as I'm listening to
and I never can remember the title of it because
I never looked at my phone and I always played
the album through to try and find it. And it
was a song dreams because there's just one part. I
(10:46):
like it. It's like, you know, most scenes. I'm believable
that we only speak a necessity. I was like, oh gosh,
that's that that that hit home for me, and then
I can never ended again. It was the same thing
with a Sleep Token song for a while too. I
think it was a You'll Be Mine. I couldn't find
(11:08):
that song for like two weeks.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, all, yeah, hopefully we can edit that part out.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh my gosh, probably.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
I took care of it. It's okay.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Anyhow, What was on about the new until that week album? Yeah, Renovate,
So Renovate is by far one of my favorite albums currently.
And also, yeah, that Sleep Token song You'll Be Mine.
I can find it for like probably two three weeks maybe, But.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
There was a bunch of stuff that came out or
that's came out in the past couple of weeks. I know.
Victims just put out a new album this week. Desolation
Pa put out an EP. I can't remember it was
an EP or an album, but I listened to the
whole thing on my way to work the other day
(12:21):
and I was thoroughly impressed. So shout out Dumb Boys
and Desolation because y'all, y'all really brought it. So congrats
on a killer release. I'm trying to think of what
else has come out recently that I've been really impressed
with I'm sitting here blinking and I have a whole
(12:46):
playlist for this. It'd be like that bugle be real.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Did you hear that person was going on tours? Who
here's the band? Oh shit, yeah, they're going on the
world tour playing all five of their albums. Oh yeah,
so yeah boy, dollface hell yah excited? Were you honest
(13:21):
when you said I can never leave your bad with me?
You have to let me know you're alive.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
You mean that band that blew up on TikTok because
people were using King for a day.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Take them.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, bro, I'm so mad. I don't want to go
listen to like I feel like a flair for Dramatic
had been like the album that's just been in the
vault because they have not. Oh my god me the
album was Christine, one of the first personal albums ever.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I think we were talking about this a while ago,
like it was it was either you or was it
one of my other friends that they made a post
and they were like, y'all know they have other songs
besides King Verde, right right?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, I wrote a song called Drella, like like, yeah, boy,
Dolphin's Chemical Kid Mechanical Bride, I mean, stay away from
my friends.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, you gotta.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Kapern Ilia, you gotta hit there.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
What's it called?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Like?
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Whenever bands on Spotify have their like this is this
does bring me the horizon or whatever.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Got to hit up that playlist.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Or or their radio stations so you can find other
bands that are similar to them. The radio stations have
been hitting for me. I've been finding so many songs
that I like or songs that like. I have a
conspiracy theory that Spotify just like unlikes songs and then
you have to rEFInd them all over again, because I'm
(15:15):
pretty sure that that has happened to me once or twice.
But I could be wrong, because I've definitely like, We'll
scroll through a playlist and see a song that I
know for a fact that I know and I have
liked and added it to a playlist in the past,
and then all of a sudden, it just won't be there,
(15:37):
And I was like, wait, what, I know I had
that on a playlist or something a while ago. Why
why is this unliked or whatever? But so maybe they
gotta keep they keep you on your toes.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yeah, I think one new band that I got. I
recently got into the wind Takers. They have the song Yeah,
they have a song called Sirens, and it's like so good.
They're like a band from Australia. I don't know, dude,
(16:12):
Aussie as metal hits, Australian metal.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
I'm telling, like, like a metal hits, but they're like,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
They kind of remind me of a little bit of
early Icy Stars with like the techno and like you know,
stuff like that. Oh so, if you guys are in
that type of stuff, if you loved like Icy Stars
back in the day, definitely check out wind Takers and
(16:49):
song like Sirens and uh break the Rules. Those are
my two favorite songs by them. I think, pull up
my phone, I want to Steve there's another because I've
just been listening. I've been playing with my dj X
for a little bit, trying to find new music. I
was speaking of which when Diggers just released oh when
(17:13):
I'm so sorry guys, when Waker.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
I was looking it up as you were talking.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I was like, when Waker, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, guys.
I'm thinking of something else. Yes, But when Waker and
they just released two new songs actually yesterday.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
So nice.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
That's really that's actually pretty surprising and awesome.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
You reminded me that they're not an Australian band, but
Weeping Wound put out. They released some stuff recently and
I actually got to see them play live. The videos
are all over my TikTok Follow Me until you know
TikTok Toopsic sixteen, but I got to meet them and
(17:56):
do the members signed my CD. So game.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
This is really alright. I want to try something, Flick.
I want you to pick the most random song out
of your phone that isn't metal that you listen to,
that that's a vibe, That.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
A song that's a vibe.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
That is that is not metal, and we have to
say it at the same time.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
All right, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,
uh yeah, hold on, give me a second. I'm looking
because I listen to other stuff besides metal, even though
my husband doesn't believe me. Uh all right, all right,
(18:40):
I got one? Are you ready?
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah? Three? Two? One in intergalacted my beastie.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Boys, all right, has been trending on TikTok all year
and I love it. But I'm also just like protect
this man at all costs, because if fame ever corrupts him,
the world will end. But I don't foresee that happening.
(19:11):
He streaks me as someone very solid in their stance
on how they choose to interact with fans and whatnot,
So I don't foresee that happening.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
But there's there's one band that I also do have
to shout out right now because they've been popping up
on my on my reels and Instagram for like a
hot bed. Uh. This band is called Lost Souls. They
are a bunch of kids who are in the I
(19:45):
think we're in the adoption center, and they joined up
and they made a band. This band is an animation.
This band is an animation band. Mind you, This is
like completely animated.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
And it's Lost Soul.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah, Lost Souls, man, it's they're really it's a really
good soul.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Oh wait.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Yeah. And there's a song on there called Childhood Died
and the hook.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
The hook goes my child became a lot the day
that Loose Skywalker died from being tired, and then he goes.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Wait the Jedi time from being tire.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
There the clips on their Spotify are kind of hilarious,
from the ones that I'm seeing right now, bro.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Like it's just so funny and like that's like one
of my favorite songs by them because it's like.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Yeah, like yeah, like I get it, Like how how
do Jedi die for?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (20:53):
How do Jedi die for me? Entire? Bro? That that
just didn't make no sense to me.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Hear me out. I think maybe maybe Anakin was onto something.
I think that that I weren't all good, but you
know whatever.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I mean, Yeah, he had a point?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Did was it poorly executed?
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Did he have a point. Yeah. We were talking about
that at work. I don't know how we got on
this subject, but we were talking about villains that had
a point.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
And oh yeah, oh yeah, Dark Vader definitely, Yeah, Anakin
had definitely had a point.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yeah. I brought up Black Panther because kill Walnger would look,
he had a point, like y'all have all this technology
and you won't share it with your brothers and sisters
and help them get out the hood and blah blah
blah like like.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
Not and that like when you like and when you
were in the theater when that movie came about, you
were just like, yeah, minute broke out a point, justified
Dark Vader hill Monger.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
As you can see, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
I am not dead. I never yielded. And then also, uh,
Vladimir Tefish from Castlevania justified he I mean, nah, can
tell me nothing, Bro. If you never watched, if you
(22:34):
never watched the Castlevania Animate series on Netflix, go watch
it right now. I have watched. I know you haven't
talk about the people who haven't, because I'm like, yeah,
you'll see why. I say. What he did was so justified,
and I'm just like, hey, I would have been a
part of his council to ship.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Like Bro.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Like B was onto something like No, Bro was really
honest on Bro, like it was just like Bro really said,
I'm literally gonna kill y'all because y'all are arrogant as hell.
And after all my wife tried to do was just
heal y'all people and give y'all good medicine so y'all
(23:16):
can live happy, healthy lives. And y'all say it's the
work of the devil, y'all. Dad Nah, y'all y'all burn
my wife at the steak because of that, nah, y'all
Dad Bright Yeah, yah nah right, count y'all days, county
out your days. And then y'all know, you wouldn't know
what they did, bro, after he said that this is
(23:37):
the most effed up part about all of it, not
on his part, on their part. They celebrated the year
of them burning his wife at the steak and his
boy came in with demons slaughtering everybody. And I was like, hell, yeah, yeah,
(24:02):
I would have done the same thing. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
I also probably would have done the same thing, and
I probably wouldn't have been so nice about it.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Ryan Broly not like not, Bro, This man was killing men, women.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Children, did not care, did not get single fun.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
No, Bro, Like, he did not care, He did not
care anyone in that land. Bro was guilty. But they
were all guilty by association, like pretty much because like
they participate, they partook in the execution of his wife,
(24:40):
and they did nothing to stop it, yep, when they
had the ability to to stop it, right, And I'm like, bro, yah,
y'all y'all scared about what God about to do. I'm like,
y'all have a literal vampire sending demons to kill y'all
and you're just s yeah, y'all just literally just sitting there.
(25:04):
And also they were given the tools but also these
were people that were obviously given the tools if they
read the Bible. If they read the Bible, they were
also given the tools on how to fight them. That
goes to show that they were also very bigoted and
they did not follow the rules of the Bible. So
I'm so obviously there's I can spend this whole episode
(25:27):
like calling out like how everything that Vladmir tep Ish
aka Dracula from Castlevania did was justified. I'm not that's
that we can we can do that for another episode,
but the segments about like other villains who are justified
in their actions, I'm.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Trying to think of others, to be honest with you,
I'm trying to think of others because I'm.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
Like mister Freeze. Yeah, mister yeah, mister free all he
wanted was to save his wife.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
All he wanted to do. But that's that's it, that's
really and.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
You really had to come in and ruin this man's life.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
But also at the same time, he is helped Batman,
but him and Batman are like frenemies, and they're like frenemies,
so like they help each other from time tonight even
though they fight, because Batman still does help him help
him with like Nora, like, you know, Batman isn't entirely
a dick, No.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
And I'm really tired of people thinking that he is.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Just that he's not entirely a dick, Like he's very
complex and oh yeah, this is that second man. Also, Guys,
if you really think Batman the dick, you got to
put it in retrospect of this way of his gout
of his villain gallery partakes is one of his villains
(26:51):
is one of his former friends. On top of that,
Two Faces is one of his former friends. And you know, like, Bru,
you don't think that's like that weighs in on his
soul that he asks like I gotta go take that,
my friend. I'm like, you don't want to do that shit.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
No, that's why he hesitated, and in the Long Halloween
he's like, nah, I.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Can save him, right, And then after that, I would
like to say, I think the reason Batman ascends the
villains to Arkham, Bull Jail and Arkham at the same
time is because he believes they can be rehabilitated. Because
(27:40):
he's not a He's not a bad person. A bad
person would like Batman would just say and kill him
straight up if he really want to. But his morals
is he was like, he saves everybody. He saves everybody,
that includes the villains, and Arkham is the only thing
that can really do that.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
So what's the quote if I if I resort to killing,
the amount of killers on Earth stays the same. I
don't think it's the exact quote.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
But I think he said something along the lines of like,
if he took out a killer, it's not gonna change
the fact that there's still going to be more killers
because you're just if you kill that killer, you're just
going into his spot. So what does that What does
that really change? What does killing really change? It doesn't
(28:33):
change anything. It's just a cycle that just keeps repeating
over and over.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Not to mention, you kill the right person, there's gonna
be someone that comes after him for revenge, and then
it's just going to keep going right, And.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
It's like it's it could be. It's not all that simple,
like man can't kill.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Yeah, do you think that Batman should have killed the
Joker after Jason Todd died.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Oh, that's a tough one, because I feel like he
wasn't acting as Batman. He was more acting as a
parent in that aspect, and as a parent, he may
(29:26):
have believed in that moment in time that killing Joker
wouldn't bring Jason back, It'll only make things worse for Batman.
Little did he know, Little did he Little did he
know Superboy Prime with punt Reality, he'll becoming right back
(29:47):
on his door set. It's not that simple, like it
was just like he's he's a at the time, he
was pretty much a father of two, a single father too.
On one son left the nest, another son, the second
(30:09):
son is reckless, and you know, it's like this, it's
like it's telling the story of a cycle of with
children where you have the oldest, you're he you're harder
on the oldest, you're kind of harder on the second oldest,
and then when you have your youngest, you're kind of
(30:33):
bit easier on them, which is Tim Tim got it easy.
Tim Drake got always got easy.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Was the only one that like, well, you know, I
guess like he was the only one that wanted to
be Robin because he sought them out, Like he figured
out who did Grayson was. He figured out who Bruce
Wayne and showed up and was like, you need a Robin,
because you're going off the rails. You need me, and
that mean was like no, I don't go home, bro,
(31:02):
your chaos insert here and.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Like bro like literally breaking people's spines, leaving them concussed
and sending them to the hospital. Bro, you are in
mourning right now. You need to relax, like and now,
and like yeah, that's like just the thing is like
that was his son, you know, like you don't think
(31:27):
And also if you watch Batman under the Red Hood,
he was like you don't think I thought about killing
him today you die. Yeah, it was just like he
but he said it would just be too easy. He'll
be too easy to kill the Jumper, honestly, really, realistically speaking,
it'll be very hard. It'll be really easy to kill
(31:47):
a Junker just by based off of who he is
and whose character is. He leaves himself open like way
too much to actually be killed, and the only person
that could kill him is.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Batmanute and that he knows that that isn't going to
actually do it, right, He knows that he's not going
to cross the line because he's that's.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
And that's the motive, and that's Joker's motive. Joker's motive
is he's trying to give Batman across the line. Why
do you think he's messing with Batman. It's because he's like, bro,
I want you to cross the line. I want to
see I need to see it. It's like it's like
a fix for Joker. It's like, bro, I will literally
(32:25):
like it's like like how we are in music, will
lose our minds if this happens. He was like same
thing with Joker. He's like, yo, bro, I need to
see I need to see you murder something. I want you.
I want you to kill me, like I think. I
think I'm the perfect choice because he's just that psychotic.
Because that's how like linked they are with each other,
(32:46):
and that's why it's always like cat and mouse with them,
because Batman has a code which I respect and I
can't see and breaking that code unless it's like really
really really necessary. But then if he does break that code,
(33:10):
he would have to stop being Batman.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Yeah, and then he would just retire and stop being Batman.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, and then.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Later on he would come out of retirement and bust
people's heads open and stuff, just like the old days.
In the dark Knight.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Returns, No, he had to return because the government.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Oh yeah, well yeah he returned for a reason.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
I'm just saying, yeah, he returned because Gossam was without Batman.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
It was it was things were things were not good
in the neighborhood. But you know him. Then what's her name,
Harry Kelly? I think people always forget that she was
Robin for.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
The Yeah, she's like the she's like the ropping of
another Earth. Yeah, because like I'm like, this is all
gets really cool. Well, she's dope. I like her. She
has cool glasses, honestly, Yeah, no glasses, surely other by glass.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
While we're talking about superheroes and such, are you gonna
go and see the New Superman when it comes out?
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Uh, definitely yes, because pres for Reeves that was my
favorite Superman. I never really bashed any Superman films that
came out after Chres for Reeves. I think I could
say I love all of them, especially like the Superman
(34:39):
Returns one that came out like two thousand and six.
I just and it's just like it's it's a childhood
thing for me because like my grandma used to watch
you know, my granma used to watch their Man together
growing up. It's good. So it was like she would
always been like, hey, do you want to watch their Man?
(34:59):
And I'm like, yeah, I do. And it was always
like Christopher Reeves Superman and I will watch all of
them love her and so like, yeah, it's kind of
like a it's a comfort thing. So I would definitely
love to go see Superman. And also like, I would
love to see Crypto lit too. That's also awesome that
was actually going to be on the live screen.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
I am excited for that. And also I can't believe
people tried to bully James Gunn because he based Crypto
off of his dog. People were trying to clown him
for that like a while ago, and I was like,
y'all are come on, man, like, leave him alone. This
man is giving us gold. I don't know if you've
(35:42):
watched Creature Commandos yet, but it's pretty hilarious. And y'all
are not going to sit here and tell me that
it is just Suicides co Op but with monsters, because
it's different. Y'all shut that.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Yeah. I think James Gunn jumping to DC was the
best decision he made.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
Yeah, because now he can do all all the crazy
weird ship that he couldn't do it Marvel.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yeah, I'm just like, I don't know what. I don't
know Jam's gun in DC Perfect Mix.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Not to mention all of the comic books that have
been coming out recently. I mean you got Absolute Batman,
Absolute wonder Woman, Superman, The Justice League Unlimited is back
in comic book form.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Can we talk about why is Absolute Batman so meaty?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Because because because because it's he is, he is and
it's weird. And I didn't I didn't really like it
when I first saw it. Either Juggernaut me bro, Yeah,
that's that's Juggernaut Batman.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
That is that is that the battle acts that simple,
and then he has a gun that shoots many batterings
which is crazy like.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
His cape also like it. I forget what the actual word.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
For it was.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Its actually a weapon. Yes, the cape is is in
fact the weapon, which is wild.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
The Batmobile is like looks like fucking Cole's moving castle
or something. It's huge for no reason.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
It's huge, Like why why is it? So?
Speaker 2 (37:25):
It doesn't make sense, but you know it. Yeah, I'm
excited for the like all of the stuff that's been
coming out recently. They've got some stuff that I've been reading.
You've got a new Batgirl Girl excuse me for run
(37:49):
out right now, the question someone we have not seen
and forever. They're working on bringing in Absolute Flash. They've
got a new Green Lantern run in the works either,
I don't. I think it comes out early next year,
maybe February. Apparently they're trying. Aquaman is supposed to be big.
(38:11):
So a lot of great stuff is happening at DC.
There's some cool stuff happening at Marvel too. I've been
reading Storm, the Storm story kind of slaps and the
Wolverine one where he's been fighting like the windowgo or whatever.
That the story is pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
But if you know me at all, you know I've
honestly only been keeping up with Marvel right now. I've
actually went back to I actually went back to going
back to liking the Ultimate series again.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
I haven't read anything Ultimates. I've been hearing about it,
and I've heard that it's great. I have not read anything.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
It's actually really it's actually really good. So the the
Thinker actually brought back to the universe, but he actually
took out the keen ingredients that made superhero superheroes, which
was really messed up. So now here you are having
(39:09):
the New Ultimates trying to fix everything, trying to get
back to the way their world actually is with superheroes,
and there's only serious superheroes that the Thinker took off
the board that were deemed a threat, and Spider Man
was one of those threats. Surprising, which is shocking. He was, Oh, wow,
(39:33):
Spider Man is a threat to you. That's great. So
what he did was he took the Spider that was
supposed to bite him at the when he was supposed
when he became Spiderman as a teenager. Never happened. M
Fantastic four all died. Damn read Richards. He's literally the
(39:56):
doom of this universe. But he's a good guy. Uh
let's see. Yeah, so Spider Man actually did get his
So Iron Ladd, who's Tony Stark, but a younger version
(40:18):
of this universe's version is like kind of like a
little bit younger because his dad, Howard Stark, was Iron Man,
so iron Man, so in turn, Tony Stark Iron Ladd.
Iron Ladd's actually pretty dope. I like this. I like
his suit a lot. He sent like a ball to
(40:39):
Peter Parker. Now Peter Parker is like in the thirties.
I think in the early thirties. Uh. He has two
kids with Mary Jane. Uncle Ben's alive.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Oh yeah, I think I heard, yeah, I heard in
the Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
In this universe, uncle Ben's alive. Him and j Jonah
Jamison are friends and they work at the Daily Buble.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
I mean I might. I'm gonna probably wait for them
to put the Ultimate stories either in a big book
together or I think I think they do have some
trade paperbacks out right now, which is just a smaller
version of like maybe like a maybe a ten issue
run and all of that is just in one little book.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Oh no, that I don't that's going to be a minute,
because in twenty twenty five they're doing another Ultimate story
line with Ultimate Yeah, Ultimate over, but it's it's the
Winter Soldier version mm hmm. And the and the concept
(41:47):
art is, Oh, I need to action figure or a
statue of it.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
It looks so dope, you know, I mean, I've been
I haven't got. I think the last figure I got
was either the Huntress figure that I have or the
Man That figure that I have. That thing is huge.
It takes up so much room. And also I am
an inbox collector. People I leave my ship in boxes.
(42:12):
Stop judging me for this. I have people in discord
that like like it's a joke, of course, like I'm
we kid around, but they be like.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
I don't, man, take this ship out the books. I
don't I take I'm sorry, I take all the box
I'll like posing them, you do you?
Speaker 2 (42:31):
I feel like, hear me out. If I had like
the thing like the Yamaguchi type stuff, or like the
Mondo figures, or like the stuff that the expensive stuff like,
I feel like I would pose those because they have
more articulation. Like top McFarland's figures have a lot of articulation,
(42:52):
and we're going down a deep rabbit hole that has
nothing to do with music. So if you've tuned out
by now, I'm sorry in advance, but uh like those
figures have some great articulation. So do the Marvel what
is the Marvel ones called ye had I can't remember
what they're called? Marvel legends. There we go. Those have
(43:13):
great articulation as well from what I hear. But I'm
just like, I don't know, like some of them just
look better as display pieces. But if I had like
like big money and was buying like like I said,
like the fancier ones that come with all the extra
capes and head pieces and facial expressions and extra hands
(43:37):
and like all the all the things, and I could
pose them in really cool ways, then yeah, I would
probably would post them. But that's just me personally, don't
judge me.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
So I know we all of that time, but to
change gears real quick.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Yeah, we kind of we kind of went down that
the common rabbit.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
Hole, and we went down the rabbit hole. I mean, hey,
we have like a lot of pop culture in ourds here,
so it's me do. So I got a message from
my friend Kenzy because I did a little vocal thing
from within last night and she didn't go to the show,
but she watched the show from her house because someone
called her and she gave herself a black eye at
this show. Oh fuck, she gave herself black eye, which
(44:23):
is honestly pretty dope. And I posted the video. My
friend sent me the video of that song of I
Think It's a VB. I did a part with a Patty.
It was like, what the fuck is like that part
he always does? And I did it with him and
(44:44):
then she texts me because I posted it. Well, first
foremost I post it, and then she texted me pretty
sure when I hit my knee, you were screaming. I
partially blame your vocals for being so damn good.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
That's awesome, that's really funny. That is funny, and speaking
of things that are kind of funny but not really so.
I don't know if you know this, but apparently it's
and it's now been posted as a lamb coat uh
(45:21):
interview or article, so it's official. Vin mckenti is apparently
retiring from YouTube or whatever.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
And I was like, well, what, oh yeah, that guy.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
Yes, And so the only reason that I really care
is because like, A, I've been seeing it all day
on Facebook and b like I remember talking to him
about what, you know, this podcast and you know, our
page and what we do and whatever, and having someone
that you look up to kind of like like being like, eh, you.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
I eight, I guess that's I just I just thought
of something. I just thought something in my head and
I was like, oh, no, that's mean you know so
he so he has.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
He the quote. The quote literally says quote I was
just doing it for the money, which in theory, that's
you know, kind of why most people do most things
is money, but I also think that there has to
be a passion, like with whatever it is that you're doing,
(46:30):
And if you don't have the passion to kind of
fuel your efforts and encourage you to keep going, then
you know, if you're taking you know, you're bowing out
and deciding that you know what, I just don't got
it anymore. I low I low key kind of respected,
but also like some of the things that he said,
(46:52):
Like even though I know it was satire or whatever,
I'd be like, dog, what are you talking About'll get
get out of here. He had he had one of
the some of my homies in a video that he
did a while back, and I was like, hell not.
Went straight to the comments and was like, listen here,
(47:21):
you know what it's you know what, it's okay. He's
at a point where he's in a port where he
can afford to retire, So go you. That's the goal
is being able to retire.
Speaker 6 (47:35):
YEP.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
So before we wrap this.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Up, are you gonna ask me what bands I think
are gonna come out with stuff?
Speaker 2 (47:47):
No, I was going to ask you how you felt
about how you feel? Like the TikTok band, which is
official people were not making this up. It is happening
officially disappear on the face of the earth in January.
I was curious about your thoughts about how it's gonna
affect like the middle community.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Uh. Makes it gonna like really affect him hard, honestly,
because I have a lot of friends who use TikTok,
and that's like the type of thing they use, like
to promote and get themselves out there, like hey, if
you like bands like this or then they're checks out.
(48:32):
But all I can really say to my middle friends
and to myself who are part of those middle friends,
is that we would just have to take it to
take it to reels and do the same thing there.
But I just I don't really know how to feel
(48:53):
about because like it's still fresh to me. So it's
like I just have to see what's I just have
to see what's gonna be going going happen, like going
forward from now to the day it gets gets going.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
I didn't want to believe it at first. I was like, Nah,
there's no way they would let this happen. And then
I saw like all the articles and like like big
people talking about it, and was like, oh, wow, this
is this is really happening, Like, yeah, what what are
we going to do? But like you said, only thing
(49:28):
that people who rely on that platform to reach their
audience can do is just just keep at it on
other platforms and keep working and hopefully someone will invent
something similar and what will be we'll be right back
where we started.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Really, But in the meantime, guys, Merry Christmas and happy
New Year. Remember to be good people and we will
be seeing guys again soon.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
Yes, have a wonderful holiday folks. Yeah, we love you dearly.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
We hope you.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
Take care of each other, be kind, be good humans,
and we'll catch you later.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Peace. M
