Do music business standards vary from country to country? In March of 2022, The Mix headed to Austin, Texas to interview official SXSW artists for the first edition of “The Mix Sessions”. In our first episode of The Mix SXSW, we sit down with Sofie and Kia of Norwegian neo-soul group, Fieh to discuss the way work-life balance, management, and even community support differs between different countries. Sofie also shares her experience in writing lyrics in English as a non-native speaker, and the burden of social media that one carries even when signed to an established label and management company.
