our Microwave News giving you these headlines hot and ready.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
So let's get right into it.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
From the Grio, it says that Trump will reportedly demand
this from the DOJ two hundred and thirty million dollars
for federal prosecutions and one of the most blatant acts
of greed and corruption in a generation.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Former Dog official Anthony Coley told.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Degree, Oh, this is absolutely ridiculous, doctor k what do
you say he's stealing?
Speaker 4 (07:17):
He's a thief, obviously, the Griff.
Speaker 13 (07:20):
Continues, and I am always so concerned that people are like, well,
I don't like that part because he's literally stealing from taxpayers.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
While also talking about making government smaller.
Speaker 13 (07:30):
It seems like he's only trying to make government smaller
so that he can steal from the American people.
Speaker 15 (07:36):
The Griff continues, Felix, So, uh, I think what it
comes down, what it comes down to for me personally,
is these are this is nothing new.
Speaker 16 (07:46):
Under the sun when it comes to what we're seeing
with the administration that's currently taking office. And I'm not
really a politically savvy guy. I like to keep up
with it a little bit, but I can't say I'm surprised.
And I think think that's where I'm at with everything
that's going on with him. I think I think it's
it's not being too surprised and maybe we should have it.
Speaker 14 (08:10):
Maybe we did expect this type of foolery from him.
Speaker 16 (08:14):
I know a lot of us did, but we're we
are where we are right now. This is round two,
and it's I think this is what America wants for.
This is what America voted for. Absolutely, so that that's
where I'm at with it.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Absolutely, this is what America voted for.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Our our second story, hiz Chick fil A offers apology
after black police officer made to pay while white colleagues
ate for free, and Tracy Reid is speaking out after
he was made to pay for his meal while his
white colleagues ate for free at a Georgia Chick fil A.
Speaker 10 (08:51):
I don't believe this. I think this is slander. I
think that I think Chick fil A was about to
buy NBC because it's no way they gonna come out
with these allegations of chick fil an. I don't believe
that's wild. Just like, no bro, everybody good, but you
you gotta pay. That's why they was.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
About to buy all of it.
Speaker 13 (09:11):
And how dare the American public not feel sorry for
that worker behind that manage, behind the corner, who doesn't
usually work behind the counter.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
That was their excuse. And then in the letter.
Speaker 13 (09:22):
They told the cops who all were actually outreached side.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Note his colleagues had.
Speaker 13 (09:27):
His back, But yes it did, they said. But Chick
fil A wrote back and said that was perceived racism.
You didn't actually experience that, and that kissed everybody off
even more rightfully so, including his colleagues.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
But if you watch that video, his colleagues were ten
toes down. They had his back.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Scotty, Scottie, your folks eat for free and you gotta
pay where you staying.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
Oh I'm pissed.
Speaker 12 (09:51):
I was, And I'm the black dude too, you know,
I want some Chick fil A. You know, I'm like,
you're doing this to me, you know, saying like I'm
the supporter, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
So now I like that.
Speaker 12 (10:05):
You know, the copy filled with him, his brother still
with him. You know they you know, they they believe it,
that bleak blue stuff. So I just appreciate them for
standing up with them, you know what I'm saying, because
at the end of the day, it's easy for them
to look the other way because they got benefits, you
know what I'm saying, But they to stay with them
and say no, it's not right for all of us.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
I respect that.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah, Yeah, And then folks are final story.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Bishop Marvin Winings, Yes he is in the news cycle
once again, but not because.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Of his singing acumen.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Bishop Marvin Winings draws backlash after confronting church goer over
fundraising donations, and footage of Bishop Marvin Winings confronting a
churchgoer over one thousand, two hundred dollars donation began circulating
online this week. Doctor k you said that this has
TikTok on fire right now.
Speaker 13 (10:56):
Absolutely, and all of us on tea talk are like
and I wish a bishop would I need you to
give twenty and seid of twelve hundred. Listen everyone on TikTok,
especially us at the ex Christian.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Recovering Christians right where.
Speaker 13 (11:09):
We're all recovering, we're in therapy, we're in recovery. We
are all very much like and this is why we
left the church. You see what I'm saying. We're not
there anymore because I think the church is in on
the grift. The say it's kind of similar to the
President of the United States grifts. It's this, it's this
grift of making folks feel bad, shaming them into giving
(11:30):
when they know these are the parishioners are who are
being the most affected by everything that's going on in
the country. So I think Marvin Sap can absolutely you know,
suck a big toe. You can go right where the
sun don't shine for perpetuating this grift. This is a
this is a problem with churches, particularly non denominational black
(11:51):
and brown churches, where they parrot a lot of the
things they see in white churches.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
And it's it's growths. It's really bad.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, Phelix, Felix, real quick, man, if your priests pastor
told you you're eight hundred dollars short, you gotta you
gotta come.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Up off it.
Speaker 16 (12:07):
Well no, yeah, that's when you know he's got to
kick rocks and pounds saying that's what I'd say. But
I think what it shows also is he's he's clearly
comfortable doing this, which means he's been doing this.
Speaker 9 (12:17):
Uh A.
Speaker 16 (12:18):
To doctor K's point, this is this is something that
people get the guilt trip gets put on them, and
uh people will take advantage of that. But for him
for him to have that type of uh bravado about it, yeah,
you must, you must be really used to getting the
kind of money you're getting, bro.
Speaker 10 (12:37):
Because he was right up right up front with it,
like he he.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Where's my money?
Speaker 12 (12:48):
Yeah, I want to come back with Doctor K said, like,
I think there's a part where we as people who
are Christians have to understand that you know, recovering Christians
or you know church hurt Christians, that you have to
understand there's a fine line between the word and the
man and understanding the difference of that of giving and
(13:08):
then you know of men just being greedy.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
I don't have a problem with the acts.
Speaker 11 (13:12):
I have a.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Problem with the way he handled her congregation.
Speaker 12 (13:16):
Right, It's like if I have, if i'm, if i'm
because at the end of the day, it's still it's
whoever's choice to give and how they gave, and I
can't count your pockets. Two thousand might be life for
some people, right, Like it ain't like for me, but
it might be life for somebody else.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
So but I just didn't like how he handled her.
That was the issue for me.
Speaker 12 (13:33):
It was like, yes, she might have been in the
wrong line, maybe she didn't follow the right instructions, but
it's how he spoke to her.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
That to me is what I have My biggest issue.
Speaker 12 (13:42):
It's not the acts, because some people got two thousand
to give and it don't hurt them. And it's just
that she gave what she had in how you handled
her wasn't to me Christian like, that's just my personal view.
Speaker 13 (13:53):
And aren't you like giving up your future offerings by
cheating people that way? People watching, but they want to
give you money after you treat somebody like that who
didn't give enough according.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
To you, No, not at all, because he is doing it.
I tell you this.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
After after giving my twenty dollars, I saw that, I'm like, oh,
I'm not giving nothing else because he's gonna call me
out and be like Marquise, he gave twenty, I need forty.
Speaker 10 (14:17):
No, put this dub in the tray.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
You might turn around and look at you, like, right right,
they talking about I'm I'm trying to turn Jesus twenty
into fifty, you know.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
And two thousand eight, So mister Franklin looking a.
Speaker 12 (14:36):
Little low.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Exactly, folks. We have a great show lined up for you.
Two day. Our main story visits the City.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Of Brotherly Love, and we are talking about this body
that was just discovered. If you didn't hear about it,
you're about to hear about it now. This is the
Morning Experience on one O six Back to the morning
experienced folks. Thank you for joining us on this home day.
(15:08):
Our main story for today comes from the Associated Press
and authorities say remains were found in Philadelphia and they
are of the.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Missing woman Kada Scott.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
And remains found buried in a wooded area behind an
abandoned school are those of Kada Scott, a twenty three
year old woman who had been missing for about two weeks,
and this comes from the Prosecutor's office. Earlier this week
from Philadelphia, an authority said an anonymous tip led police
back to the area they previously searched and they found
the remains in a shallow grave and DNA test confirmed
(15:44):
her identity. Kean King, twenty one, of Dover, Delaware, has
been arrested in charge with kidnappings, talking, and other charges
in Scott's disappearance. Bail was set at two point five
million dollars and prosecutors say that more chargers are possibly
coming down the pipeline and a message seeking a comment
was left Monday for King's defense lawyer, Shaka Johnson, and
(16:07):
she says, I am confident that homicide charges will be brought,
but I also have an obligation to follow the law
and uphold the constitution. So folks, she's we're gonna start
with you because this is right in your hometown. We
heard reports about how like police kept on going back
(16:27):
and going back but couldn't find anything.
Speaker 10 (16:31):
And it's wild because just being in the middle of
it where she was found that a few days before
they searched the arbitory. I believe that's how you say
the word that we had this last week put out
the arbitorium, across the arbitorium across the street. The school
where she was found out was directly behind where they
searched that, so when they were doing their news coverage,
(16:53):
they were standing in front of the abandoned school where
she was found at. So then they went there once
and didn't find her, and then got the tip to say, no,
yoll missed it. Go back again because you missed it.
It seems like it's a whole lot more going on.
It's more than one person involved, just to say, you know,
y'all need to go back for sure. It's a lot
going on here.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Doctor k I feel like, you know, if this was
you know, Katie Holmesberg, the results might have been different.
Speaker 13 (17:22):
Not only would the results have been different, but I
think people would have immediately branded this is some kind
of serial killer thing because falling twice, the leave tips
and be like, oh you didn't find it?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Who is that?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Who is doing that?
Speaker 13 (17:37):
And secondly, maybe first thing, this is every black woman's name, mayre.
I mean, we know that black women go missing more
than any of the demographics in the countries. And I
think the other piece to this is he was released
earlier this year, right, So him being released earlier this year,
I'm back on in the street on similar concerns. Speaks
(17:59):
volumes as to how seriously we take not just black
women's stories, but particularly black women stories, but women overall.
With violence and danger in our society, Why would you
let somebody like this back out onto.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
The street, right and felix somebody like yourself and like me,
we got girls, we got kids, you know, so like
this this hits home, especially for girl dads.
Speaker 16 (18:26):
Yeah, oh, one thousand percent, especially when going back to
doctor K's point about somebody had to call the sin
had nobody there wasn't an anonymous tip, where would we
be with this story right now? And so the fact
that there was kind of like this half hearted attempt.
Speaker 11 (18:43):
The irony that the school was in the background of that.
Speaker 16 (18:45):
There's a lot of sad things that take place here.
Where have the shoe been on the other foot? If
we could call it that way, how would this be?
You know, it would be hands across America for you
know whoever. So it's sad. It said glad that there
was a call. I'm glad that her remains were found.
It's unfortunate, but had that not happened to where with
(19:06):
the beat right now?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Right right?
Speaker 3 (19:08):
And and Scottie like, I feel like this is going
to be one of those things where we see a
documentary from from Netflix, you know, five five, six years
later and we're.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Like, I knew it. I knew it. They should have
looked X, Y and Z ABC.
Speaker 12 (19:27):
Yeah, I mean, and you're like, man, I didn't Man,
they missed that. They didn't get that or you know,
they had this information and this and they didn't do
this with it, and they didn't do that with it
because a lot of things, like you know, a lot of.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Times they don't want that information to.
Speaker 12 (19:40):
Come out because it's like, so you got this call,
you had this information, and you didn't do anything with it,
or somebody came to you and told you, hey, I
haven't seen this girl in so.
Speaker 5 (19:51):
Many amount of time, and then it's like you still.
Speaker 12 (19:53):
Didn't check on it, right, So I'm curious to see
what all when people start going the four year requests
and start really to get all the information that the
cops really had, what was really left uh unattained or
just left it aside and just say, hey, you know
that's not that's not important.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
I'm curious to see what them.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Always outrageous in hindsight every single time.
Speaker 13 (20:15):
You're like, what they left this turn, they let this
clue unsearched and uninvestigated.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
It's just it's always disheartening and terrifying.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
Yeah, it's it's it's just like those Hurricane Katrina documentaries
coming out right now, and we're just seeing the many, many,
many injustices and you know, the information that that fell
through the holes or the people that just didn't care.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
We we just.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
See this this this you know, illustration of injustice. When
when when stuff like this happens, And I feel as
though that we're going to see the same thing happen
in two three years with a documentary because I have
a Facebook friend that was in that neighborhood and was like,
I can smell it dead body.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
And she was saying this a week before her body
was discovered.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
But folks, hang on to us, We got so much
more to get into. This is the Morning Experience on
Lick one oh six. Welcome back to the Morning Experience, folks,
and thank you for joining us. And here's a little
snippet from the Associated Press article. So the perpetrator was
(21:28):
arrested earlier this year in another case, but posted a
two hundred thousand dollars bail and was released.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
In this case.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
The previous case that we're talking about, prosecutor said he
was arrested of kidnapping a woman in front of her
house and forcing her into a car where she was
assaulted and eventually let go. However, those charges were dropped
when the victim and the witness did not appear for
court proceedings. So, I mean, scotty, when like stuff like
(21:55):
this happens, you know, what are you supposed to do?
Speaker 12 (21:59):
It's tough for prosecutor as well for the public because
as the public you're saying, well, how can this guy
be back on the street, And then as a prosecutors saying,
I mean, what am I supposed to do if the
victim and the witness that I would have used to
put him in jail don't show up to help put
them behind bars. You know, it's it's just it's a
crazy thing that you know, this is how the justice
(22:20):
system works, but it's we can't we can't do it
to where we want it to work for us. But
then when it doesn't work for another individual who doesn't
look like that or you know, and it goes against us,
he's like, hey, how did he get how did he
get charged? There's no witness, there, no this, there's no evidence,
but yet somebody ends up behind bars, and then a
situation like this where somebody does it right.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
So you know, it's the justice system is what it is.
Speaker 12 (22:45):
And if that's how they need to go to proceed
to get to the case, man, you just you hope
that the victims and the witness come out and they
do their part and we put them behind bars.
Speaker 10 (22:57):
And it'll be like it'd be like the the free
him kind of thing if they would have locked them up,
and they would have kept them locked up. Everybody, yo, freedom,
they don't got nothing on them and everything and and
you be and and you fighting to get him out
and be guilty. It's just it's one of those things
where where we always get information and we react so
fast and we don't know there's context everything, and there's
(23:19):
always something something going on in the background, and we
have no idea what's going on. But it's it's like,
like like you said, Scotty, is it's wild just to think,
like whatever side you're on, it's it's it's a super
pro and a super cond no matter how you look
at it, Yah, no matter how you look at it.
Speaker 13 (23:35):
I do want to I do want to think about too,
like why if we need to find out why the
victim and the witness didn't show up and how the
seriousness of the matter, and how prosecutors explain this and
also hopefully offer to take care of these folks and
what kind of community care they treated them with, because
(23:58):
I don't think it is very common that I'm sorry,
I don't think it's uncommon that witnesses don't show up.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
I don't think that's uncommon.
Speaker 13 (24:07):
But I do think there is a certain type of
community care, certain kinds of witnesses versus others aren't treated
with that would assist them and show them and up
in court would help them in making sure that they
understood the severity of keeping someone who kidnapped them off
the street. And I'm wondering if this is another black
woman and black witness that this happened to, and what
(24:27):
you know, just what the circumstances were, because I've heard
of this happening before where witnesses don't show up and
then they had to push a trial and they work
to get the witnesses to work with the system. But
this just seems interesting that both the witness and the
victim did not show up.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
So I have a lot of questions about that.
Speaker 16 (24:47):
I feel that it shows also like there's is there
no faith? And this is a rhetorical question, is there
no faith in the system on part of these women?
It wouldn't surprise me if there is a I'm not
gonna go anywhere going this route. This has happened to
me before. I've heard of those stories before. So there's
a lot of different elements and levels to this. As
(25:09):
they say, where the psyche of women are, how how
something like that can impact them to unfortunately, if they
were to experience it again, is it Mum's the word
because they don't feel like it's even worth the hassle
or the stress.
Speaker 14 (25:23):
It's a lot, I would think anyway.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
You know, it's funny.
Speaker 12 (25:26):
I had a family member that had that got attacked
and was assaulted and they had to go against their perpetrator,
and what she explained to me is like, you relive
it all over again. That's the hardest part is that
when you're on the stand and you're talking about it,
you have to live through it again, and then you're
getting asked questions to disprove what happened to you, right,
(25:49):
So it's a it's a it's a process that she's
told me, like until you're in it. You don't know
how much it affects you until you're in it, and
how much you don't want to bring it up, and
how much you don't want to talk about it and
you just want to move on from it. So it,
like you said, Felix, is a great point of how
many elements it is to it that people just mentally
probably can't stay in.
Speaker 13 (26:09):
And I know that them and witness now feel awful.
That's what I've been thinking about this is now they
probably look at that situation and are like in a
society that doesn't believe victims anyway, that doesn't believe women,
then you have this awful thing happen and you were
(26:30):
just experiencing it and you were in a position to
put this man behind bars. I know they have to
feel completely horrible.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Yeah, folks, we have a little bit more to discuss.
And then on the other side we have our Top
ten and we have our sports and scores and commentary.
This is another great morning experience. Stay with us and
tell our friend to tell a friend. Tune in to
let one O six. All right, now, thank you for
(27:03):
joining us on the morning experience. And one thing that
I want to point out with this story as we
wrap up our news commentary here is that for the
case where he kidnapped, he being Kean King, twenty one
years old of dober Delaware, who was arrested in charge
(27:24):
with kidnapping his first offense with the woman and kik
kidnapping her in front of her home and assaulting her.
His bill was set at two hundred thousand dollars. So
the team they did the math, I didn't because they're
smarter than I am. The team they said that that
comes to about twenty thousand dollars and doctor Kay, you
(27:48):
said that you research and said he paid that he
paid that twenty cap paid.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
It almost immediately and paid it in cash.
Speaker 13 (27:56):
And Krasner Dan Krasner also alluded to the fact that
he had a large amount a large access to a
large amount of cash. So so while not directly saying
that he paid it in cash, also is alluding to
the fact that he paid it in cash, and the
fact that he paid it almost immediately signals that he
paid it in cash as well.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, and shis for for a situation like this, if
if somebody you know, assaults somebody in front of her
house in a car and everything like that, and then
has this, you know, access to you know, exorbitant amount
of money, regardless of race or anything like that, I
would feel as though that this person feels like it's
a certain level of privilege, like it's there certain level
(28:39):
of right to do so to do.
Speaker 10 (28:41):
This, he almost like you can kind of buy your
way out of things. Uh, you know, word on the
street and then on the ground here in Philadelphia, is
that no, that is that is that he Uh he
sold he sold weed around there, so he was he
was well known for selling selling weed around there, so
you know, that's always cash coming in. Pennsylvania is not
(29:03):
one of those states where it is legal. So that's
still a thriving business if you if you have what
you have, so it's like, you know, just to have
access to that. But we have to know the case.
We have to know what's going on as to why
that bail was set so low because like everywhere it
is ten percent, you don't have to pay ten percent
of what they tell you to put up. So if
(29:24):
we have to figure out what happened and what what
brought to that such, you know that that horrible, that
horrible easy amount to get to that is just easy
accessible for somebody in this situation.
Speaker 17 (29:35):
Yep, yeah, I I I can't remove from my mind, Felix,
that that if this was, you know, in in an area,
you know, in the Kentucky part of Pennsylvania, if this
was in that area, you know, the bail wouldn't be
just two hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 16 (29:56):
Right right, right, Well, I think really it's it's the
irony is that your point is taken, and it's very true,
and yet here is a person of color, a black man,
who is able to take care of that. And so
the irony is we want to see something like that,
but at.
Speaker 14 (30:13):
You clearly are a dangerous person.
Speaker 10 (30:16):
A and B.
Speaker 16 (30:18):
Going back to what was saying was that people feel
comfortable when they have a sense of power, and money
is power, and so does somebody who's very comfortable kidnapping
somebody in front of their home paying this type of
money right off the bat.
Speaker 11 (30:34):
Later this year. Unfortunately, now here we are again the aura.
Speaker 16 (30:39):
Of what power means to somebody, in this sense of
entitlement and this sense of I can get away with this,
and I got this. Who knows, God forbid has he
done something like this already before that nobody knows about that.
Maybe some of the other people aren't talking. This is
just a domino effect that we're witnessing.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
And I'm glad you brought that up, because folks, we
are going to call this a segue because I got
some inside inside information, because I know some folks that
are working on the case on specifically some csis that
are working on the case, and they're like, there's there's
more shallow graves. There's not just this one. So this
(31:22):
was just the one that he got caught with. But
we will discuss that more on the other side of
this music break.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
This is the Morning Experience on a Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
Thank you for joining us on the Morning Experience on
this Wednesday. So to get back to our final commentary
for this hour from the Associated Press, it says that
Keita Scott, who worked.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
In assistant living facility.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Was remembered as being light, kind hearted and a beautiful spirit.
Now I do want to point out here, Scotty, that
she was reported missing after leaving a overnight shift.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
And again I.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Can't help but think that, you know, if this was
Mary an Louise, as soon as she went missing, there
would have been an immediate you.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Know, read alert and all of that. Mary Louise, I
tried to go with the whitest.
Speaker 11 (32:28):
Name whole American.
Speaker 10 (32:35):
White people about to call him like dog. That is not.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
We not partner with that one. But I have to
hit you, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (32:46):
If it was Emily, if it was a Becky, if
it was you know, it would be an Embrellert. And
we all understand what the what the politics of that
is and going on. Uh, But at the same time,
you know, it's just a weird thing. How how stuff
like that happens because you start thinking did he did
he study or movements?
Speaker 5 (33:05):
Did he did he soccer?
Speaker 12 (33:07):
Did he do this? You know what was going on?
And then going back to the Bell situation just to
touch base with that is like, you know, it's a
weird system because if you're a first time offender, you
can't I can't give you the max because you know
what I'm saying, this is your first offense. So it's
like we can't look at it because again you'll see
a kid who who gets caught selling a bag of
(33:29):
weed and he got a million dollar bail. You'll be like,
come on, a kid has never done anything in his life,
and so it's just one of those things where you
just got to take the good with the bad instence
like that. But I feel for her family, you know,
I feel for you know, the people around this situation,
and I just hope justice is served for for them.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Yeah, and the doctor k as as a woman like like,
where where do you land on this? Because like these
these stories, we have these you know, examples that our
parents give us.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
But then like you know, there's friends that tell us, oh,
that doesn't really happen. That's an outlier. But then you
hear about this outlier.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
Though. I think there's a couple of things happening.
Speaker 13 (34:10):
You know, we know that this system does not, you know,
cater towards certain kinds of victims, like survivor or those
who succumbed to the to these issues. And the other
thing in this case too, I think bad community actors
who have reputations. I'm thinking about why those folks did
not show up before? Why why didn't the victim and
(34:32):
the witness show up? Now we know this guy was
well known around town. Now we know he was probably
a popular seller of marijuana. And if he was not
held to a standard before, if if he wasn't made
to be accountable for his actions, what would believe?
Speaker 4 (34:51):
What would make that victim?
Speaker 13 (34:52):
And so these and when you see these kind of
things happening in the system, you zen go, how, it's
not your fault. The only person you can control is you.
So you start to curtail your behavior. You start to
not walk at night, You start to be hypervigilant because
you don't know, you don't you don't know when it
could happen to you. But why why this woman?
Speaker 4 (35:14):
Why her? Why her leaving work?
Speaker 13 (35:17):
Those are things we can't answer, and when you can't
answer those questions, you fill in the blanks with I
have to curtail my behavior so that I'm not the
next person we have.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Reputation definitely definitely plays a huge part in here, because
I'm thinking, like, is it because he sold good za?
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Is that why you know? Nobody really really came to
these women's defense. Folks.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
There's much, much, much more to this story, and we're
going to get into it as it unfolds, but we're
going to get to some lighter commentary on the other
side of this music break. Stay with us. This is
The Morning Experience on Lite six. This is the Morning Experience, folks.

Speaker 10 (37:04):

Speaker 5 (37:21):
I need that hundred Okay, right now, look to write

Speaker 2 (37:45):
It is well not me, but but it is again

Speaker 3 (37:50):
Without the G Experience about the Regular Way the Morning Experience.
So just just talking about these stories and microwave news
and everything. You know, I'm I'm really glad that that
we give ourselves this opportunity to talk about these news stories, uh, Felix,
because I mean this, this gives folks, you know, some
(38:11):
some talk to do around.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
The water cooler.
Speaker 16 (38:15):
Yeah, and that's always been like the game when it
comes to delivering news. How do you how do you
deliver the news uh to people?
Speaker 5 (38:24):
Uh?
Speaker 16 (38:24):
There's it's the same story reinvented different times. So uh,
being able to do that and being able to conversate
uh with other people. Sometimes people just love to hear
the banter. They love to hear the commentary.
Speaker 5 (38:37):
Uh.
Speaker 16 (38:37):
They love to hear the insightful words that maybe they
weren't able to put together themselves, but when they hear
somebody and then they like listening to that person every year,
every morning.
Speaker 14 (38:46):
So yeah, absolutely, man, that's the tale as old as time.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Right.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
And doctor K I mean you you you you bring
the intellectualness of it of it all. Do you feel
any like added added pressure when you have to deliver your.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
Commentary always because you want to get it right? I
don't know that.
Speaker 13 (39:06):
I consider myself an intellectual and so much that I
consider myself a deep thinker. And you always feel like
Am I thinking deep enough about this?
Speaker 4 (39:15):
I was just actually toying around in my.
Speaker 13 (39:17):
Brain while you were before you even mentioned this question
about am I representing all women's points of view?
Speaker 4 (39:23):
Am I doing this?
Speaker 13 (39:24):
And sometimes I can go I can't represent everyone, but
I can speak from a genuine place and a very
specific place as a black woman, as a black woman.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Educated.
Speaker 13 (39:35):
You know that all the things, all the qualifiers you
put on top of that, but just as a black
woman who quite frankly, is just sometimes scared to walk
around outside by herself.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
And that's something that I wanted to get to.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Sometimes it's just y'all, are y'all?
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Some some or I don't even know how to phrase it,
but there's a fear to go outside because of how
some men may may act, react or feel towards you.
Whether it's skin color, body shape, or a combination of
the two.
Speaker 13 (40:10):
Oh absolutely, And you know it's it's do you have
enough clothes on you?
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Are you?
Speaker 13 (40:16):
I wish people coul understand it's not what you're wearing
that that's still a really pervasive myth, you know, even
if you're wearing I literally I tell this story every
couple of years.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
Thank you for reminding me of that. I was in
New York.
Speaker 13 (40:28):
It was a it was a strike, the MTA striker.
I was walking to work and this man saw me
from his car and he.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
Said, hey, sexy eyes, Hey, sexy eyes. Do y'all know?
Speaker 13 (40:38):
I was wrapped up in a hooded bubble coat with
a scarf wrapped around my face. And he looked at
my eyes and said that he can't called my eyes
you know what I look like?
Speaker 4 (40:47):
No idea.
Speaker 13 (40:49):
And that kind of thing seems flattering to some people,
I guess, but I was completely terrified because.
Speaker 4 (40:54):
I'm literally looking.
Speaker 13 (40:55):
I had to stop and see what I was wearing,
and I realized that I was covered from had to
toe in a calf length north face bubble right with
a scarf and so and because I didn't, you know, first,
I startled. Second, because I didn't say anything back, he
immediately started to cust me out the anger behind not
(41:17):
you know, in a restaurant, right these advances is it's terrifying.
And even if somebody is genuine, right, even if somebody
does come up to you and it's like, oh, you know,
you're beautiful today, you don't know what to expect next.
And it's just a weird place to live in, and
you try to live a joyful life. You I think
I do a good job with that, but you.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Still cannot escape some of these very serious things.
Speaker 12 (41:38):
Let's let's not act like men gay are not shot
down with the most egregious and you could come up
with you could be so gentleman and as nice as
you want to be.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
Heay, excuse me though, I saw what she's wearing a woman.
Speaker 12 (41:54):
H boy by Like, come on, bro, Like, let's not
let's not act like women. Aren't you just as as
as combative as some men can be. And now you're
living in a world where you're like, if I am respectful,
can I get the can I get a respectful rejection?
You know what I'm saying, Like, I take respect some
of you can take one. I will, I admit you
(42:16):
with that, doctor K. But I still wet. We're not
We're not about to just say it's all men, Okay.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Well, and that's I love it say to that point.
Speaker 13 (42:25):
And this is what we call outcome dependent behavior that
we always want to pull people away from. We don't
want to do outcome dependent behavior. Somebody rejects you partially,
it is no reason to then be like, well they
because this conversation always leads down to row to does
somebody deserve to be treated a certain way because they
they reject you?
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Right?
Speaker 13 (42:43):
And that is that that outcome dependent behavior. There's a
book written about this, It's called the Art of the Game.
That is what gets to go to trouble if you
are dependent on how somebody rejects you with words to
whether they should be safe or not in your presence
on their.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Popmac Outcome dependent behavior. That sounds like a topic for
a topic.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Tuesday that we were already going to get into it.
So prepare for that next Tuesday. Outcome dependent behavior. I'm
gonna put that on a shirt. My god, this is
the smartest thing that's.
Speaker 4 (43:18):
Part of the game. That's pick up ourtist part of
the game. Those those two boys.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Hey look look this is this Like I like to say,
this is the smartest thing that you will hear on
audio this morning, folks, this is the Morning Experience on
a Wednesday, Get you some education on LIT one.
Speaker 10 (43:36):
Welcome back to the Morning Experience on LIT one O six.
It is Wednesday, and it is time for another top
ten and this week we are talking about how your
parents were some damn liars. They would lie to us
about all things. Oh no, And as you come to
get older, you realize that mom, dad, you was on
some bs. Number ten. We're gonna get right into it.
(43:58):
Number ten. Flicking the lights on and off will raise
the light build. That is what they just didn't want
us to have fun. You could flick the light on
and off. It is not going to do a damn
thing to the light build.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
Yeah, yeah, you know what.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
That's something that I don't even say anymore because I
hated that so much.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
I don't even use that on my kids. I need
to drop that just.
Speaker 18 (44:18):
A little old school like, just just because I'll.
Speaker 10 (44:21):
Be there sometimes flicking the light on and off, like
what was that coming here? To get Oh damn right,
I got it.
Speaker 13 (44:28):
I've turned into my mom and dad and my mom
and stepdad in particular because I go through the light
the house turning off the lights, and then my husband
definitely comes behind me and turns all like back on.
Speaker 10 (44:36):
Cook.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
He needs to see in them wrong. And so we
are flicking the lights on and off in a way,
very different way.
Speaker 10 (44:43):
Yo, Electric bill gonna be sky high.
Speaker 5 (44:47):
The fact.
Speaker 10 (44:50):
Number nine, let's get right to this what they told
us before we started driving when we were young bulls.
The visor and the dome light is illegal and you
will get pulled, called over and locked up for driving around.
That is you.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
You.
Speaker 10 (45:06):
They didn't want you to look at yourself, then told
you how ashy your face was before you got off
the car. It's like I tried to look in the visor,
but you said the light was gonna get us pulled over.
Speaker 5 (45:14):
That's I still don't drive, but I legit.
Speaker 11 (45:20):
I legit, still do think.
Speaker 16 (45:22):
I don't think they can lock you up for it,
but I mean you you can't get pulled over for
having a dome light on.
Speaker 11 (45:27):
I thought you could.
Speaker 10 (45:28):
I thought it's a distraction. I look deep into this
and by this, I typed this into Google and it
said that it is a distraction and it could be
called posed a distraction, but it's not. It's not illegal.
So that's where you get where the cops might be
on your ass or everything you learned something, everything you learned.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
I'm about to flip the table.
Speaker 10 (45:49):
My mom, Liesy's parents was gassing us back in.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
The forty on pump one.
Speaker 10 (46:05):
Number eight. This one was this keeping your eyes crossed
and they'll get stuck like that like now, I like,
they always never wanted us to have fun. And I
remember you remember the kids that used to be able
to flip their eyelids, Remember that when we were in school.
I've never came across them and their eyelids was stuck
like that, Like hey man, I was just flipping my
eyes too much and they got stuck, like I've never
(46:25):
I've never saw this happen before.
Speaker 11 (46:28):
Remember when I used to do that.
Speaker 10 (46:29):
Don't do that, go around talking to kids in school,
told not to flip their eyes.
Speaker 11 (46:35):
Look like me, crazyy got his eyelids flipped.
Speaker 13 (46:43):
Even I didn't even have my kids did. It's so uncomfortable.
Try my doctor did it because you can get like
a little bumps behind your eyes when you were contacts.
And my doctor did it, and she laughed and was
like remember when we were kids. That was like, I've
never done this when I was a kid, and she
looked at me, boring child.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
He was a doctor. As a kid, I never, my goodness,
I've never done that.
Speaker 13 (47:04):
As I was terrified of it, to be told, I
was scared of it.
Speaker 5 (47:10):
I read a book about it. It was horrible.
Speaker 4 (47:15):
Boys Girls.
Speaker 10 (47:20):
Number seven, let's get right to number seven. This is
something they told us as well. Don't swallow a gum
or it'll get stuck in your stomach. It is, it
will get digested. And I'm not sure who came up
with this or what type of gum they were chewing
on that if you just if you just ate it
and you would be backed up for seven years. That
sounds like somebody that was eating a bunch of starches
(47:41):
and no vegetables and they just like, let me blame
it on the gum because I had some gum.
Speaker 14 (47:47):
This is somewhat depressed because I feel like I've been
like let down.
Speaker 11 (47:52):
Row and I'm like, no, this is not true. You
can't digest gum though, right, that's the truth.
Speaker 10 (47:59):
Yea, yes, it will digest it.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
I spent my gum out to this day. It's gonna
get stuck on my ribs.
Speaker 10 (48:10):
That was like a there, like a dare you just
swallow the gun like.
Speaker 4 (48:16):
Get stuck somewhere? And if you swallow the seed an.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
Orange yeah yeah, watermelon yep, yep, watermelon seed that.
Speaker 5 (48:26):
Got me, that got me to middle school. I ain't
gonna lie to you.
Speaker 10 (48:30):
It'll it'll take a hold of your life. You want.
Speaker 12 (48:36):
I was constapated. That's what my mom would say, Like
that would make you constapated.
Speaker 10 (48:40):
Number six. When you get a job, you can do
whatever you want to, says who. I can't even I
can't even make a Facebook post without my mom still trying.
I've been had a job. Who says who I could do?
And I want? Who said that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (48:59):
Yeah, yeah, my mom My mom's still still still messaging me.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
You won't say that on Facebook. You know they're watching, like, mom,
who are they?
Speaker 9 (49:08):
My god, ma'am, I'm grown right, could have put a rat.
Speaker 10 (49:20):
She was like, Shawn, are you okay? That was that
was That was the best kiss lines right now?
Speaker 12 (49:28):
Don't work many rant I raised you better than that.
Speaker 10 (49:34):
This is your for everybody to see.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
And then your aunt talking about your uncle got the gout.
Give him a.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
Call, Auntie, Please call me love.
Speaker 10 (49:49):
Yeah about not like hey, Poody, call me later on.
Speaker 5 (49:55):
Like all given a voicemallow messenger, you know yah yeah.
Speaker 10 (50:04):
Listen. That was our first five. That was the first
five of our top ten. We will be right back
after these messages and after these tunes. It is the
morning experience that one welcome back to the morning experience,
ladies and gentlemen. We are in the middle of our
top ten this week. It is the final five, and
we are talking about how your parents were some damn liars,
(50:26):
and number five we're going to get right to it,
and that is you will understand when you get older.
And I just realized that I actually understand less than
I did when I was younger. It's like you could
have prepped me to be an adult, like you just
kept telling me I understand when I get older, Like no,
I have no idea toilet paper blows my mind and
(50:47):
everything like that. It is wild out here in these
adults streams.
Speaker 12 (50:50):
I think the only thing that my mom did that
with jazz, like when she would play jazz when I
was younger, and he was like, you'll understand it because
I was like, who.
Speaker 5 (50:59):
Listen the music with no words? And then like, I
do understand.
Speaker 10 (51:05):
That's from that aspect that you you're absolutely right because
us it will definitely get you. He was like, listen,
like Mann, we used to get mad when they used
to play the old stations, and it's look in the
car now, it's like, y'all don't tell my kids. You
don't you never heard that before.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
That's the only thing he applies to the rest of you.
Speaker 18 (51:23):
Right right, I'll be getting mad at my kids, like
I'm the adult, like you you ain't heard this before, right,
where have you been?
Speaker 19 (51:37):
Right?
Speaker 5 (51:37):
Right?
Speaker 10 (51:38):
Right?
Speaker 2 (51:38):
That's what it is.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
That's what it is, because yeah, jazz and you know
what I'll put in there, and this ain't popular.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
I'm sorry, America. I'll put in there Anita Baker. I've
enjoyed Anita Baker.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
I'm when when when I've been older, it's more than
Saturday morning cleaning music.
Speaker 5 (51:58):
Yes it is, Yes, it is.
Speaker 10 (52:00):
Number four Black parents were good for telling us this.
I will knock you into next week. I have been
dealt some mighty blows in my lifetime. Now, I have
woken up after everybody ate and there was a plate
for me in the microwave. But I have never woken
up a week later because that would have been some
wild stuff. And I wish they could do it now
(52:22):
because that would be eight week right to my mom house, Like, look,
I need you to be smacked me in the next
week like you said you were going to.
Speaker 11 (52:36):
God, that's right out there. When they would say, you know,
I brought you in this world.
Speaker 10 (52:41):
I'll take it out.
Speaker 5 (52:42):
Yeah, I always about that.
Speaker 10 (52:47):
Because that like how weird.
Speaker 9 (52:51):
Not legally do that?
Speaker 10 (52:52):
Like you can't take me.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
It sounds good, right, you know they can take us out,
knock us into next week.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Like y'all are like over compensating your powers here.
Speaker 10 (53:06):
Just yeah, it's like and then you can you become
apparent and you're like, I can't do nothing. Where do
these powers go? Because I want some of these.
Speaker 3 (53:13):
I don't even saying that, Like I can't even knock
you into tomorrow.
Speaker 11 (53:20):
They'll just correct my kids correct me. You can't even
do that.
Speaker 19 (53:27):
On got nine one already in there, like, man, you
can't make me do anything.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
I was like, yeah, right right, like technically.
Speaker 10 (53:45):
Bring back beatings at school number three, number three, get
your coats on so we can get ready to leave,
when in fact, we are not about to leave anytime soon.
You will be sitting in there and with your coach
just on, just for no reason, sitting there all snuggled
up for nothing, waiting for your mom to finish talking.
And she didn't sat back down. They had another drink.
Speaker 5 (54:07):
I think it's just a black thing. If I'm being
by the.
Speaker 13 (54:12):
You're waiting with the food you're carrying the food out
of the function for your parents, and she's still taking
twenty five more minutes.
Speaker 5 (54:18):
I'm scarred, and you can't even say, hey, are we still.
Speaker 10 (54:22):
Going that way? That would get you embarrassing for everybody there.
It's like the records, like said, Mama, I.
Speaker 4 (54:32):
Know you're not rushing me.
Speaker 3 (54:33):
That's oh as if as as if they didn't just
hear my mom saying get your coat, like y'all, y'all, y'all.
Speaker 10 (54:41):
Heard nobody is stand up?
Speaker 12 (54:43):
That's about and asked to go back and play. No,
you got your coat on, and I told you to go.
You can't ask if we're about to leave, because then
who is you?
Speaker 5 (54:54):
You not grown? So you just sit there looking dumb, just.
Speaker 10 (54:58):
And once you build your heart up to just go
back upstairs and let's go. We leaving like hey, I
just took my jacket off, got sweat games on my
on my T shirt.
Speaker 16 (55:10):
How many times I fell asleep with my coat on
on the couch, Just wait, you leave. By the time
I got home, it was just way.
Speaker 14 (55:19):
You can't be waiting forty five minutes.
Speaker 10 (55:22):
Shoulder pads in here, Jesus, Oh goodness. Number two, listen
I'm I'm, I am, I am. I am forty years old.
I've been around for all the gaming systems, their rises
in their falls. I remember when they used to tell
us that hooking the game up to the TV or
mess the TV up. They just our parents never wanted
(55:45):
us to have any fun, like hooking the Nintendo up
to the to the big box back floor model TV.
Would not mess that TV up. We was good. Just
let us have fun, let us go somewhere and and
not bother anybody for a little bit.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
I went to lunch with my mom today and I
actually brought that up. I was like, Mom, like my kids,
they hooked their stuff up to the TV. They got
like two systems, and y'all wouldn't let me hook up one.
And my TV never broke, so why couldn't I put
it on y'all TV like it would have broke?
Speaker 10 (56:17):
And she was like, yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
We just didn't want you playing downstairs skulduggery.
Speaker 12 (56:23):
So when TVs are big, my mom was like, it'll
burn then image on the TV. Yes, play it too long,
it'll freeze the you'll burn the image on TV. You
can't use it anymore. So that's why I could never
play on the plasma downstairs.
Speaker 4 (56:37):
Now that was olden days. You could burn the image
on the.
Speaker 13 (56:40):
TV back in the day, like really, yeah, And I
did it once because I fell asleep a couple of
nights in a row on something.
Speaker 4 (56:49):
No no, no, no, that's not true. I left it paused.
Speaker 13 (56:52):
On a Nintendo game, but I turned it off. There
was an outline, and boy, every time we turned the
TV on, it was the outline.
Speaker 4 (56:58):
And I was in trouble for like until.
Speaker 5 (57:01):
Rookie right here, Rookie.
Speaker 14 (57:04):
Part of the reason why screen savers were invented first.
Speaker 10 (57:08):
Watching Mario and Seinfeld at the same time, Mario border around,
I'm years old.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
At last, might be a little older than some of
you me.
Speaker 10 (57:20):
And that's a TV where they standing behind the TV
like on the cartoons, when everybody's just in the house
standing behind the TV actually doing acting number one number one,
They would tell us, this hurts me more than it
hurts you. Then, why the hell aren't you crying right now?
(57:43):
Why didn't you just choose not to hurt yourself and
just not do what you just did to make me acts?
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (57:52):
Yeah, yeah, I felt like that was like the knee
jerk reaction I'm supposed to say this before I whooped your.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
Ass talking with the whole time, right right.
Speaker 11 (58:04):
I switched it up on my kids.
Speaker 14 (58:06):
I say it like this, Why do you make me
do this to you?
Speaker 10 (58:12):
After the whooping, I'm using that to night.
Speaker 11 (58:16):
Why do you make me do this to you?
Speaker 5 (58:18):
Now?
Speaker 20 (58:19):
The balls in their course, I don't know what you're
doing it.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
And that's all right man, that's all right.
Speaker 5 (58:38):
Man.
Speaker 10 (58:39):
I'm about to about my kids right now. Just why
did I have to do that to you? And you
just came downstairs and started this? Ladies and gentlemen. That
was this week's Top ten. Please make sure you check
us out every Wednesday for all new top ten. If
you missed any of the Top ten or any of
(58:59):
the show, please check us out Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeartRadio,
and also hit me up on all socials at Shizzy,
Get Busy, b z z y. You gotta be effectively
different than everything like that. So I make sure I
follow the traditional.
Speaker 5 (59:15):
Welcome back experience, and let's start with the Ravens.
Speaker 12 (59:22):
They came out there, they had to buy this week,
and they didn't play so they couldn't lose anything. But
next week they have the Bears, and we'll see if
Lamar Jackson will be ready for that game.
Speaker 5 (59:34):
Next game up was Eagles versus Minnesota.
Speaker 12 (59:37):
I think Eagles fans would love to see this when
Carson Wentz came back into town. Eagles beat the Minnesota
Vikings twenty eight twenty two. Jalen Hurts finally got that
arm working nineteen to twenty three, three hundred and twenty
six yards with three touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (59:51):
Sakwan Barkley, little pedestrian.
Speaker 12 (59:53):
Eighteen carries twenty four yards, but he just cares about
the dub and the two wide receiver twins can now
be happy and and a cent they went. Devonte Smith
non receptions, one hundred and eight three yards in a touchdown,
and power A d Brown four receptions one hundred and
twenty one yards and two touchdowns. Carson Wentz, the former
Eagle that is not an Eagle anymore, twenty six of
(01:00:16):
forty two three hundred and thirteen yards and as Eagle
fans know to win, acepsis to and Mason the running
back fifteen karriens fifty seven yards in the touchdown. Jordan
Addison came back with a big day nine receptions, one
hundred and twenty eight yards, and Justin Defferenson didn't really
have his kind of day. Five receptions seventy nine yards
and again Eagles take down Minnesota twenty eight twenty two.
(01:00:39):
Next game up Divisional fold the New York Giants and
Jackson Dark coming to town to take on your Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I will tell you this, Sekwon Barkley only cares about
hl WEF right now, Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it.
He's like, I got the Super Bowl already, have you
know the record ish, you know, from from last year.
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
So it's just about you know, just just just riding
it out and he's enjoying his h your.
Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Wife, you know, soon to be Yeah, that's fair, listen,
I give you.
Speaker 12 (01:01:18):
I think Eagles fans are pretty excited to see Jalen
Hurts get off the bench and actually fit passing the
ball for once.
Speaker 5 (01:01:25):
So yes, for three hundred and twenty six yards. It's
not a bad day for Jalen Hurts. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
And and and you know Carson went to Still Eagle.
Speaker 10 (01:01:37):
He was out there throwing touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
Yah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 12 (01:01:42):
Yeah, He's like, yeah, right right right here, you go
for the Ravens fans out there, Listen, y'all needed this. Bye, Yeah,
I'm not gonna lie to you. I needed the time
to just regroup, resettle, you know what I'm saying. Pray
to whoever I lie. You know whoever, it is your
it's your cup of tea, and hopefully I can come
back on the Bears. Now the Bears are hot Ravens, y'all.
(01:02:03):
I want to be this agent. This at your mama's Bears. Okay,
this is a new era of Bears. I think they
three wins in a row, four wins in a row, right,
bear down? So, uh, that game is gonna be pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
I'll say this, Ravens pray to the all Mai ray Lewis,
won't he do it?
Speaker 10 (01:02:25):
Well? That that that should that should wrap up the
NFC E So thanks for coming through, Scotty. Uh you
all good, yo, good looking all that everything. Thanks, get
on the back.
Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
Support with your boy, Scotty. Now listen, it's that time.
But you know what time it is? Okay, somebody tell
him give boys and I'm see we steal the boys. Baby.
Speaker 12 (01:03:02):
Listen, Nick Dallas Cowboys take go to no neighbors and
we take them down foted four to twenty two.
Speaker 5 (01:03:08):
And it's a good song that I know you probably
heard it said, what happened to that boy?
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
What happened today?
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
They were talking. We put a clap into that boy. Okay, listen.
Chris pap twenty one of thirty, two hundred and sixty
four yards, three touchdowns. He's still on his MVP run.
Speaker 12 (01:03:26):
Jamonte Williams are running back, nineteen carries, one hundred and
sixteen yards with a touchdown. Ceedee Lamb came back off
of injury, came back fire. Five receptions, one hundred and
ten yards. George Pickens, that bad bad man, the young
hyn four receptions eighty two yards as well.
Speaker 5 (01:03:44):
Commanders.
Speaker 12 (01:03:45):
Tough day at the office, you know at A and
T Stadium, twenty two points. Jayden Daniels did get injured,
had a strained right hamstring. I believe it happened in
the second quarter. He didn't come back in the game.
Wouldn't have mattered. Twelve twenty two, one hundred and fifty
six yards. And when he's also your leading rusher and
he left the game in the second quarter, that's a problem.
(01:04:05):
Jayden dre Hills eight carriage for thirty five yards wide.
Receivers were injured Galore, no Noah Brown, no Scary Terry,
and no Deebo Samuel, but they were led by Jalen Lane.
Speaker 5 (01:04:17):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (01:04:17):
He just got off of Kroger's line three reception yards
and that is the recap. And once again, American Steve
we are what.
Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
I'm still Somebody tell him I'm still give boys and
boys and boys.
Speaker 5 (01:04:38):
I'm Steve. We still them. Boy says, did you watch
the game?
Speaker 10 (01:04:46):
See your problem is we're supposed to be kneeling with Kaepernick,
and now y'all watching because y'all want to be all
interested in everything like that. Like that says a lot
about y'all character, that we all supposed to be kneeling
with Kaepernick and y'all worried about some some damn football games.
Right now?
Speaker 11 (01:05:03):
You football anymore?
Speaker 5 (01:05:08):
Listen.
Speaker 12 (01:05:08):
I just kneel with Kaepernick and still enjoy the butt
whooping my cowboys put on the Commanders any day.
Speaker 9 (01:05:15):
Listen.
Speaker 12 (01:05:16):
And I was telling you earlier off off off off
air was order is restored. Okay, order is restored. This
is when I grew up. This is what I was
used to seeing.
Speaker 10 (01:05:27):
Just just ales.
Speaker 12 (01:05:28):
They they they're just taking ales after als after ales
after als. But uh listen, hoping to speedy recovery for
Jadon Daniels next up, because it doesn't get any easier
for the Commanders.
Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
One day night Football with that.
Speaker 12 (01:05:40):
Bad man Patrick Mahomes and listen, the rivalry of all
rivalries Dallas in saying Fran Next Sunday, listen, nix cool
now yeah, back on next Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (01:05:57):
It might be a different story out here. My guy, the.
Speaker 16 (01:06:00):
Anything Scott is I just met you, but I had
a feeling you were a Dallas Cowboy fan because this
is typical of a Dallas Cowboys fan. This is the
this is the mid season Super Bowl champion ship, this
is you know, this is the tournament championship at the NBA.
Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
Whoa look at you, guys.
Speaker 11 (01:06:21):
We got we got a whole season, my guy.
Speaker 5 (01:06:24):
Okay, listen, what you're not gonna do? Okay, You're not
gonna damper my spirit? Sir? Okay, what did you just say?
Any given Sunday.
Speaker 12 (01:06:33):
I'm taking my We just lost to the Panthers last Sunday,
So no, I'm taking my wins as they come, sir. Okay,
And I'm and I'm enjoying every bit of them because
we're still the boys, okay, and that he's pushing folks.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
We got we got some more commentary, uh for four Sports.
Scottie got one more segment.
Speaker 12 (01:06:59):
For us SO and welcome back everybody to the Morning
Experience Sports Reports in the Morning Experience, he's still talking
about them boys.
Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
And as always, as I brought up earlier, Dak presscrot
Bat Prescott is doing amazing.
Speaker 12 (01:07:11):
Okay, now listen, as a Cowboys fan, I have my
corms about him every now and again. But he's looking
really good. He's looking sharp, he's looking efficient. I do
like the offensive team that they put around him. I
do definitely see him truly earning an MVP this season
based off of his actions at the quarterback position. But Marquis,
(01:07:34):
I know he was talking about earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
You got some.
Speaker 5 (01:07:36):
Contenders, You got your Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
I just like, like, look, I got nothing against the
code of Prescott. Like he is, he he is doing
his thing, but yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, fool fool government.
His middle name might be Dreams.
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
But Baker, like like Baker Mayfield, not a huge of
his but respect his game, like like he's he's balling
and then and then Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
I'm not gonna call him Indiana Jones because.
Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
That's like one of my top ten you know, movie franchises,
and and Daniel Jones is not top ten anything in
my viewpoint right now.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
But you know, those two they're playing, they're playing some
great ball right now.
Speaker 12 (01:08:21):
I'm surprised, you know, I know a Giants fans are
are really surprised because, I mean, they ran him out
of New York, like he couldn't find his way out
of a weapon back.
Speaker 5 (01:08:32):
But he is doing worldly good.
Speaker 12 (01:08:35):
At the end of Apolis both and I think when
you have that running and again, remember when they had
Safe one, he had that balance that that made him
look good.
Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
That's why he got the contract extension.
Speaker 12 (01:08:45):
But now when he's in Indiana, Indiana in Annapolis and
he has Taylor in the back, you're getting that balance
that you see him have early years in New York,
and I think you're seeing the best version of him
becase they're not asking him to do that much. They're
just asking him to manage the game and not put
them at harm's way. And that's why you see in
the sess that he has now Baker Mayfield listen I
watched that game last night against Detroit, I mean not
(01:09:08):
last night, but on Sunday, and it was it was gruesome.
Speaker 5 (01:09:13):
It was gruesome. It truly was. And again he's been
playing well, but yeah, that one was.
Speaker 10 (01:09:20):
That was bad. But I do have to tell y'all
that Daniel Jones to Commanders slash Redskins slash Washington Football
team fans, this is not a surprise. They would only
win two games every year, and they would do this
to us every single year, home away neutral safe. He
(01:09:41):
would look like this every time they played us, and
which is probably why he got his contract extension from
the Giants, because we got him that because he would
look horrible against everybody else. But this is no surprise
to us. We knew you had it in your Danny boy.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
Oh man, folks, folks.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
But again, that is the morning experienced sports scores join
us every Wednesday, where where Scotty will give you the
update on what's going on, not only in the NFL,
not only in the NBA, not only in the MLB,
but also in those other sports as well, and includes
(01:10:20):
historically black colleges as well. So stay with us because
nobody is giving it like Scotty is giving it. This
is the morning experience, folks on LIT one O six.
This is the morning experience, folks. Thank you for joining
us on this home day. Doctor k this was another
good one.
Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
It was wish for Wednesdays.
Speaker 13 (01:10:41):
I think here just gonna have to keep on wishing,
but I'm glad I got to spend this hour with y'all.
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Right, absolutely, Felix, how goes it today?
Speaker 10 (01:10:47):
Man?
Speaker 11 (01:10:48):
Oh, it's beautiful. It's halfway through the week.
Speaker 16 (01:10:50):
I hope everybody continues the energy that they've been bringing
thus far and keeping.
Speaker 14 (01:10:55):
Moving through the movie.
Speaker 10 (01:10:56):
Dan Chez hey Man, Happy Wednesday. Make sure you go
to your parents and you actual them. Why the hell
day lie to you? It is a Wednesday, Happy home Day.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
The Midday Show with Autumn Joy Live is up now
