Clarksburg Water Board is set to hold a public hearing
on the upcoming proposed water rate increase. The board is

The final vote is set for September twenty fourth at
three pm. Interested parties can be heard at this meeting
and the ordinance may be amended as a result at
that meeting. Adoption would render changes by November tenth, Harrison
County man will spend years in prison for staging vehicle
accidents to obtain insurance money. Thirty one year old Jesse
Pumpfrey of Clarksburg will serve seven years and eight months

in federal prison for filing false insurance claims. He reportedly
worked with others to stage vehicle accidents in Preston County,
then submitted false insurance claims for property damage and medical
bills that investigators say we're also fraudulent. He's facing an
unrelated charge for armed robbery in Preston County. A man
and a woman are now facing charges in Upshur County
after their two year old child wandered down the road

in the area of French Creek. Thirty year old Rebecca
Kittle and thirty three year old Daryl Kittle are charged
with three counts of child neglect with risk of injury.
A two year old girl had been missing on Alton
Road near French Creek. Police say she suffered lacerations on
her legs and feet during her journey. Other children were
removed from the home following an investigation. Police said the
home was in deplorable condition. An elementary school in Barbara

County closed Tuesday because of staffing issues. Bilington Elementary School
didn't have enough teachers and staff in general. They were
out connected to what the superintendent of Barbara County described
to WDTV as an internal issue that they are trying
to deal with. It's not clear whether this will impact
the school's availability in the future. City council failed to
get out of a deadlock vote this week on whether
to engage a company that provides interim city managers until

a permanent selection is made in Bridgeport. As a result,
Joe Shuttlesworth will remain in both the role of interim
manager and director of Parks and Recreation for the City
of Bridgeport. The town has been without a permanent city
manager since pat Ford was fired earlier this year. They
were considering this route due to the difficulty and strain
caused by both running a department and being the interim

city manager. A former Bridgeport doctor will spend two years
in federal prison. He was found guilty recently on four
counts of improper prescribing and one count of destroying records.
Investigators say sixty one year old David Hess wrote his
patients adderall prescriptions, and a jury agreed that it was
without a legitimate medical purpose. A Georgia woman will serve
seven months in prison in connection to a case involving
one million dollars in defrauding a Gilmer County business, twenty

nine year old CHIZEMACNQUO of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and another defendant
created an email address to spoof an employee at the business,
resulting in a vendor check of more than one million
dollars being sent out. The defendants reportedly spent more than
six hundred thousand dollars before they were caught. The One

Higher Education Chancellor Doctor Sarah Armstrong Tucker says she's hoping
to address the state's low college going rate. She's hoping
to simplify financial aids the students can better understand it
