state of West Virginia. Specifically north central West Virginia, though,
of course, is where we're we're looking. We've got some
statewide stories for you too as well. We're going to

for today, if you can believe it. September third, a
mistry has been declared in the case of Ryan Lane,
the man believed to be both a leader in the
Pagan motorcycle club and accused in the twenty twenty two

murder of Henry Silver in Marion County, at least as
a partial participant. The judge there says the jury was
deadlocked following the Labor Day holiday and ultimately declared a mistrial.
It's not yet clear if the state will attempt to
retry Lane or drop the charges altogether. The trial lasted
ten days. Lane remains in police custody. He's one of
several facing legal trouble or already convicted in connection to

the killing, as five others are believed to have been
involved in some form or another. Fifty one arrests were
made in Appalachia this week, with all fifty one believed
to have ties to a Mexican cartel. They are facing
a wide array of charges, including drug and firearms charges.
Police made arrests in West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The
cartel is accused of engaging in money laundering, extortion, theft
of petroleum weapons, trafficking, smuggling, prostitution, and illegal wildlife trade.

Two women are facing charges after police say they were
highly intoxicated in a Lewis County park while caring for
a two year old child. Twenty five year old Jasmine
Oxideine of Glenville and twenty two year old Kaylin Lash
of Glenville are both charged with child neglect creating risk
of injury. Weston Police say someone was passed out in
the vehicle with the child, with empty beer cans and

other alcohol and marijuana surrounding. They are both in Central
Regional Jail. State revenue is slightly off of the most
recent month's estimates, with general revenue collections about four point
nine to eighty five million dollars shy of the state's
estimates that were expected to be around four hundred and
two million for the year. Collections are actually ahead of
the state's official estimate by about six percent. You can

Seventy one percent of West Virginians reportedly support requiring vaccines
in schools, with seventeen percent saying no and twelve percent
saying they're not sure. West Virginians are closely in line
with national polling on this issue, according to Rex Repass.

the state of the public school system. Forty six percent
of respondents in the latest edition of a poll say
they are dissatisfied with the state's public school system. Thirty
four percent were satisfied, while twenty one percent were neutral
in the Metro News Research America poll. Much more in

Montgelia County, where investigators say he assaulted a woman who
was holding a four month old child. Twenty seven year
old Skylar Cordwell of Morgantown, who's charged with two counts
of third degree domestic assault and child neglect creating risk

of injury. Cordwell has two prior convictions for domestic violence
on his record. The longtime favorite restaurant, Hermicillo's Deli, is
moving locations from Morgantown Avenue in Fairmont. They'll move to
Merchant Street, officially opening this week after twelve years at
the Morgantown Avenue location. Bridgeport Water is continuing to flush

fire hydrants throughout the city into the fall. Thirteen streets
will see flushing this week, which could result in discolouration,
cloudy water, low pressure, or even a temporary loss of
water service. A larger contingent twenty one streets will be
flushed next week. More information is available by calling three

hospitalized following a fire to Marion County home on Labor Day.

The victims suffered third degree burns at a home on
Coon's Run Road. It's not clear at this time what
caused the fire. It is under investigation. At this point,

least know someone claimed fifty thousand dollars near Morgantown as
the powerball jackpot ballooned to one point three billion dollars
after Monday night's drawing. It's now among the top five
