It’s been a few weeks since I have posted a podcast but Im back with some accountability and a few excuses, but most importantly Im back. Thank you for spending a few minutes with me, as always.

Sometimes in life, you find yourself stuck. It may be because you believe excuses are better than results. Or it could be because, despite all of your efforts, you simply can't seem to get ahead. This week I'm going to help you shift from being comfortable with excuses and start living with results.

(00:10):
What's party, people, It's methe stranger who abandoned you. Oh my
god, it's been so many weekssince I put out a podcast episode.
But here I am, and soI'm gonna tell you why, right,
And a lot of it is excuses. Right, I can hit you with
a bunch of excuses. I waslistening to UM something this morning and the

(00:34):
woman said, you can either haveresults or excuses. Oh, that one
hit me a little hard. Sohere I am creating results instead of excuses.
But you know, the last monthor so, it's been pretty difficult.
I've had some health issues I've beendealing with. I've been like kind
of just sorting through the noises somestuff. Holidays are always a little bit

(00:55):
tricky. But more importantly, thereason why I haven't been around these last
few weeks is because, like oneof the one of the greatest things that
I took from reading all the booksthat I've read over the last few years
is that um, in business tobe successful, that you should always take
the straightest path to the money. And I think a lot of times we
create all these other systems and leadmagnets and funnels and this and that.

(01:19):
But you know, I'm not.I'm not really into all that. I
think that shit is bullshit. Honestly, you know, funnel sales, funnel,
no man, just sell your product. But my point is is that
you know, you got to takethe straightest paths of the money, you
know, income producing activities, incomegenerating activities. And sometimes it's really hard

(01:40):
to make your offer, or you'renot clear on your offer, or you're
not really confident in the services thatyou provide or whatever it is, or
maybe you've got some health shit goingon, maybe you're depressed. There's a
lot of reasons why in business wedo things that are not in life that
we that we do things that arenot really serving us. And so it
was really kind of accurate in myhead this morning. You know, results

(02:02):
or excuses, and that you can'thave both, and so here I am
showing up, and you know,it's kind of difficult sometimes to sort through
that noise, and especially when you'rea business owner. You know, I
have a lot of employees, andit can be a lot of pressure because
when things are slow and the cashflow is not there, it's super fucking

(02:23):
stressful. Man. Like Sue,everybody's like Friday, I'm like, hey
day, it's a different vibe whenyou're the one cutting the check versus when
you're the one getting it. Andyou know, winter is coming. Winters
here not really in Costa Rica, and Costa Rica is pretty all though.
It is pretty cool today, butin general it's pretty warm, and so
winter is a little different here thanit is probably where you are. But

(02:46):
winter is coming. It's Q fourwinters here, it's Q four. It's
the holidays. People aren't really spendingmoney like that, you know what I
mean. Businesses are like either onthe fence or off the fence or waiting
until Q one to make any moves. And so you really got to start
stacking the decks long before it getsslow. And so that's what I've been
doing for the last month is retoolingsome of our offers, really reconnecting with

(03:12):
the team, which which I don'tthink I was doing enough of. You
know, I think I can bea little solo dolo at times. You
know, my mentality can be alittle bit solo dolo sometimes, like I
feel like I got to take onall the problems myself and answer all the
questions myself, and and that's notreally how it goes down because at the
end of the day, I couldn'tdo anything with hardcast media. It wasn't

(03:34):
for my team, you know,Matt and Anthony and John and John and
Leigh and you know everybody when Lord, everybody that's on the team doing all
the work helping me produce this content. And so it's been really important for
me to spend some time really connectingwith the staff and kind of tuning up
our communication methods and just being abetter leader. Right, It's nothing that

(03:54):
they've done, it's all me.It's all where I've just really not done
the best that I could for variousdifferent reasons. And so it's been good
to kind of reconnect with the teamand provide better communication. And so we're
all working really well together and communicatingreally well and that feels really good.

(04:16):
Right, So that's exciting. Butyou know, it's been it's been a
little bit difficult, right, It'sbeen you know, you know, the
reality is that I have PTSD andit gets a little bit better all the
time, and every time I lookback, I think, man, I
am such better shape than when Iwas before. But here I am it's

(04:36):
still tough. And so sometimes whenI'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I gotta
cut through the noise and I gottasit down. Even when I make to
do list. I don't know ifyou guys do this or not, but
I'll make it to do list andI'll just write it out sometimes like whatever's
top of mine, because I can'talways get it in order exactly the way
that it needs to be done.Sometimes I can, sometimes it don't.

(04:57):
But then when I do is Igo back and I put a star next
the things that will make me money, you know, like send out that
proposal and send out that invoice beforeyou edit the web page, you know
what I mean, do the incomeproducing activities first and then do the rest
of it later. And so thelong and the short of it is,
that's why I haven't recorded a podcastin a few weeks, because it just

(05:17):
hasn't been more important than the incomegenerating revenue or the income generating activities.
And so that's why I had tokind of take a break, And to
be honest, I'm struggling a littlebit with the podcast and the reason why
I don't like being on camera.I hate being on camera. And then
every time you know YouTube, weput the shorts up it clips at this

(05:40):
inopportune time where I look like acomplete jackass making some stupid face, and
I am vain enough to not wantto be on camera because it's just not
my jam. I've never really beenon camera kind of girl. I've always
been behind the scenes. I'm theone with the camera. I'm always one
taking the picture, not in thepicture. And it's not because I hate
how I look or whatever. I'mjust it's just not really my jam,
you know. And so I'm strugglingwith it a little bit. But i

(06:01):
want to be accountable and I reallywant to talk more about the journey right
that I'm on because I think thatI'm doing a disservice to some of my
listeners, all seventeen of you.You know who the hell am I?
Right, you know? And Igot tons of mark I got tons of
content for you marketing this that Ihave been doing this ship for twenty three

(06:23):
years, and I love it.I'm legit passionate about it. But at
the same time, you know whoam I? And why should you listen
to me? And why would youtake ten or fifteen minutes out of your
day once a week to listen tomy voice and hear what I have to
say. So I want to makeit a little funnier, a little better,
maybe a little bit more personal.I'm launching a new podcast with Hardcast

(06:43):
Media. It'll be called The ContentOur Camp Content, and I will be
a summer camp, you know, instructor Molly and Matt and Anthony will be
on the show and we're going totalk about how to create content. So
it's like going to Camp content tolearn how to create contents. We're gonna
talk about audio, video, tiktoks, reels, shorts, this, that,

(07:04):
everything else, all the stuff thatwe're working on for our clients and
be able to kind of take whatwe're talking about in our staff meetings and
bring it to the table as apodcast to create some more content for Hardcast
Media and really showcase some of thework we're doing. And that way I
can speak more into like the businessowners that are following me on this podcast,
especially women owned business owners, andtalk about how we can both make

(07:26):
some more money this year. Soone of the things that I did is
I crafted some new offers and I'mreally really excited about they I think are
going to solve a lot of problemsfor people they don't have the best names
yet. I'm usually pretty good atthat, but I'm falling a little short.
But I'm really excited about them. It's you know, the idea is
that our clients spend one hour amonth with us, and what we do

(07:50):
is we craft SEO and SBO optimizedquestions and we sit with them in a
studio session for an hour and wegrab great content for them, and then
we in return give them all ofthat content chopped up into smaller bits for
their social media. And then wealso have a podcast in a box same
concept. You meet with us foran hour a month, you do four

(08:11):
fifteen minute episodes with an engineer onthe line SEO and SVO optimized topics,
and then from there, we'll seeyou next month and then we literally take
care of everything else. We scheduleit out weekly. Now you've got a
branded, professionally produced, super crispyand clean looking, highly produced piece of
content with supporting assets like social mediaassets, social share videos, you know,

(08:33):
a blog for your website, etcetera, etcetera, etc. So you
know, but all you need todo is give us an hour a month.
And I think that's going to bereally good because what we're learning and
working with new clients and doing leadoutreach and stuff like that. Is that
the number one pain point for peopleis not having enough time, and man
Imbomba is ever a testament to that. And so we're hoping that this,

(08:56):
you know, is a problem solverand it provides enough accountabilities to act actually
get it done. Because hey,if somebody pulled me in a studio an
hour a month and I recorded fourepisodes back to back, I'd never be
late on my podcast, right,So I think I might even be solving
my own problems in the mix.So I just wanted to kind of say,
Hi, consistency is key, right, but sometimes you gotta know when

(09:18):
to hold him and when to foldhim, like the old Willie Nelson said.
So I apologize for being absent inyour life. I'm sure you've missed
my ugly mug more than words canexpress. But I'm glad to see you
back. I hope to provide somevalue And thanks for tuning in. I
hope you guys have a great dayand I'll catch you on the flip side.
Thank you for tuning into the nextone hundred. Sponsored by Heartcast Media,
