132: Are You Experiencing Jesus in Spirit?

Yes, yeah, this is going to be good. And we
just started talking about this, so we don't have too
much rewind to do. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, And you guys know, we don't take notes or
make a plan or anything like that. We just get
on and start chatting about the Lord and his kingdom
and then usually a topic will drop and we're like, well,
we could turn on and talk about that. So that's
what this is.

That is what this is.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yes, So our topic today is how you know you're
in the presence of Jesus, how to know that you're
in his presence? And interestingly, Berlin and I listened to
a podcast that the same one, and we heard this
lady say a phrase and we're an explanation and we're like, separately,

(02:28):
we were like, that resonates with me. That is my
experience too. And she was talking about the difference between
the true Jesus Christ and a false Jesus Christ, or
even just the Jesus Christ you have as a soul
realm thought of who he is and how you know

(02:48):
the difference, and she said, you want to intro that Berlin.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, of course I also took it as this is
when our spirit is truly connected to him versus just
like observing from a soul kind of standpoint. So what
she said is when it's Jesus, I feel tears. Yes, Like,
oh my gosh, that's so resonated with me because I've

(03:15):
been thinking about and observing and noodling on the difference
between how I experience Jesus as soul versus how I
experience him as spirit and just really solidified yes, because
I'm often in tears. And and even if, like we've said,
if Jesus is cracking jokes and we're dancing, or you know,

(03:39):
there's a bunch of other things that Jesus does that
it's not necessarily it's not a sad tear. It's a
it's a weighty kind of reverence tear, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, I like we said that. So your soul is
meant to seek the Lord Jesus. Your soul is right,
loves your soul, right, here's a shepherd of our soul, right, right,
he saved it. But but your spirit, your human spirit,
has even greater quantity of capacity to resonate with his

(04:16):
presence in a spiritual realm. And when I know I'm
really I've really been touched, is another way to say it,
or that I'm really in the presence. My physical body leaks.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
And then the yeah, wells up.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yes, and I and I just I leak. So I'm crying.
I'm not crying from my soul. My physical body is
just having a manifestation of a spiritual truth, which is
I'm standing in the presence of that much goodness, that
much love, that much support, that much peace, and my

(04:58):
body is just overwhel helmed, doesn't know what to do
with that much that it can perceive from the spirit,
my spirit translating that to my being, my flesh vessel,
and so I leak, I cry mm hmm. And there's
just something about it.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
M m, yeah, there's I didn't really contemplate this too
much in the past, but this last week I have
been looking at where we can press in, because our
soul does have the desire, and we can press in
and press in with our soul, but the connection is

(05:38):
with spirit. And so if I'm pressing and pressing and
pressing with soul, it doesn't feel the same. But until
it clicks over and I'm in spirit, then I when
those tears, when I can feel those tears or that
welling up in my chest or that heavy weightiness that
might leak. That's when I know that I'm connected. I'm

(06:01):
into union and like one with him. So I've been
trying to take communion while I'm in that place, really
having that union in the comunion, you know.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah, yeah, So I'm glad you said it like that. Again.
I good. I hope this is helping people out there now.
I also want to say, you know, in traditional church,
it's true that we have been taught to soul relate
to Jesus. Yeah, if they even let you do that,
because sometimes they just want you to soul relate to

(06:35):
the Bible. Okay, so I don't even know how that's.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, our soul relate to the worship song that's going on.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Well, that's what I was going to say. So what
they'll do is they'll bring out these these songs. Now,
if you're not careful, you can remain just in your
soul and worship from your soul. Fine, that's okay, God's
good with that. But that But if you're longing for
a change in your life, if you're longing to be
changed into the supernatural image of the new Creation, there

(07:05):
has to be a shift, and you have to train yourself.
You have to discipline your soul to sit down and
in its rest and peace that God has given it,
and perceive the spirit, your human spirit coming alive and
too God. And if you need help with this, ask
Holy Spirit's there for that purpose. And many times I

(07:28):
have started in soul realized, well, Lord, I'm not reaching
you yet, I don't feel you yet. I want to
be more in my spirit. Holy Spirit, would you help
me and be sensitive to the impression. Holy Spirit is
giving to any of your spiritual senses. You have five
of them, just like your body has five senses. And
so that he's showing you the way, like he's giving

(07:50):
you the break. Grum. You want to get to where
you're going, You want to get to where your heart's desire. Okay,
follow this And it's different every time. I mean it
is magnificantly different every time. And to me, this is
the height and length and depth and breadth of the
love of God.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Right, And so this is one of the principles, maybe
even the main principle in hearing God's voice. So many
people say that they can't hear God's voice, you know,
or they're not able to connect with the God. They
feel like their prayers are not being answered. But he's

(08:29):
talking all the time. Yes, he's showing us. He's giving
us pictures in our mind and giving us dreams and visions,
but even just talking to us. And when we're connected,
it's that, like the Bible says, it's that still small voice.

(08:49):
When we're connected and we feel his presence, it's easier
for that voice to get through and not be like
static out with thoughts and monkey mind of the soul.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Right, And I think a lot of people weren't taught
this when they came into salvation. I think there's plenty
of people out there who had a genuine salvation experience.
They felt the conviction of Holy Spirit, then the truth
of who Jesus was, and they desired with their heart
and mind to acknowledge him as a son of God

(09:26):
and request that he take their life and trade it
with his. So that genuineness happened. But it's sad to
me often to realize there's a lot of people who
got in the door of the kingdom, but they were
not trained. They lacked fathers, or they lacked mothers of
the faith, they lacked good shepherds and pastors and all

(09:49):
that to content to help them be discipled and trained
in the practice of one's spirit, in the practice of
one's spiritual And I know I missed that in my life,
and so when I began to finally find it, I
mean I felt like the world had changed because it had.
I was like the soul round the soul bound. You

(10:13):
can even say, and my soul is so strong. Let
me tell you. I came from a long line of
strong souls. So my spirit had to like you know,
live weights for a while for me to realize. This
is how I connect the Spirit God. This is I
can feel his presence just talking about this. I know.
I am to thank you Jesus, You're You're amazing. And

(10:36):
so just just getting nearer and nearer and nearer the
Spirit God with the hell of Holy Spirit. And I
often say, Holy Spirit, I need your help today. Be
my teacher, be my guide, be my leader. You know,
filled me with the map of the of the maze

(10:57):
here so I can I can find Jesus. And it's
not like it's hard. But doesn't that Isn't that what
Paul said is if you as if to grow for
him that's kind of what it feels like. You're not
you know he's there. You know, any minute, you're just
gonna have that rush of oh my gosh, I'm standing
in your presence.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Well, and this is an area of very it's very contested.
The enemy does not want you to have I m
unity or oneness or have that connection with the Lord.
Does not even want you to recognize when you're you
have spiritual encounters. He wants you to stay in seoul.

(11:40):
And so we not only have to protect that time
and protect those moments when we can do it, but
sometimes we have to fight for them. We have to
fight to get there. We have to contend exactly not
only for the time in our day to be still
and do it, but also in that time to still

(12:03):
our mind, get out of soul and into spirit, and
like Donna said, grope for it. That's sometimes keep pulling
on the rope and keep pulling on the rope and
keep you know, opening the next veil and the next
veil and the next veil until you get all the
way in his presence and you can feel it.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
And to do it without strife from your.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Soul, right right, No, yeah, today, time.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Your soul might want to break in and go, man,
this is.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Too hard and exactly, I was just going to say that, yes,
it's you'd be at peace, right, your soul will say, ah,
that's enough for today, let's try tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Like I'm so thirsty. I'm so hungry. I think one
of the one of the best prayers Jesus Tommy early
on in this learning process was to say to eat
to recognize how spiritually thirsty my spirit was. He's like,
look at your spirit, she's thirsty. Like, my soul understands that, right,

(13:09):
because it lives in my flesh and I get thirsty.
But to realize the thirst level of my spirit and
the only way it's going to get fulfilled or filled
up is by living water, which is the spiritual substance
of heaven, and she has to go there to get
what she needs.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Yeah, yeah, that's so good. So I just want to
commend people when they're observing that their soul is having
monkey mind or you know, not settling in. I just
want to commend you that that is part of the
process because you're no longer if you're observing it, you're seeing,

(13:50):
oh this is happening, then then that's your spirit that's
looking at it. So yeah, you're in it, you're observing it.
So even that step is on the way, you're doing well.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
So good, so well, said Brilin. And to notice one's
distractions or distracted thoughts, that's part of the process. That's clear.
And so my my tip, my life hack, my spirit
hack for you is to use your mouth and say
out loud to your spirit, I love you, God loves you.

(14:23):
You are at rest, you have peace. Now sit down,
and you know you love your soul. So don't be
harsh to her, but tell her I need you to
move over and let our spirit take the reins.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah that's so good. I wish I could just look
this verse up a second here, I think I think
I'm not going to take the time to look it up.
I think it's Matthew ten twenty three. I think it is.
I could be wrong, but it says my ears are
blessed for they hear, and my eyes are blessed for
they see. And so I sometimes say that over myself

(15:02):
when I'm just trying to get myself situated and settled
in and just bless my ears, bless my eyes, you know,
So that I say.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
It I use that same verse and I say, I
have seeing eyes to see, and I have hearing ears
to hear. I have smelling nose to smell the in
the arema of heaven, I have. And we're talking about
the spiritual senses, right, the spiritual the spiritual sensation of
a spirit being coming near your spirit, right, that is

(15:40):
that's That was another mile marker for me because there
are many presentations. I'll never forget Jesus the first time
I'm talking to him and he's like, well, there's other
people in my kingdom here I want you to talk to.
And I'm like, okay, like I got this, and he's like, no,
you don't understand. Let me show you how it works.
And then he presented someone from his side of the

(16:03):
veil to my spirit and how did I know that?
I perceived it with spiritual senses? And at first I
could just I was like, someone came in the room,
but I didn't know who it was. And then you
have to you have to pause and wait to see,
you have to look, and all these different things you

(16:26):
can use. But it is very interesting because hanging out
in the spirit realm is part of your inheritance in
Jesus that kingdom is so dynamic.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
It is, it is, and I love the presence. We
can bring the presence wherever we are. And I think
even bringing the presence can be warfare if you're coming
up against something, if if you know things are going on,
especially in a household dynamics, family dynamics or something like that,

(17:01):
if you can bring the presence of the Lord in
there and maintain your own you know, emotional intelligence or
you know, your stability, you not get into soul. If
you can bring his presence, it shifts the atmosphere. It
literally does. And that's why they that worship shifts the atmosphere. Yes,

(17:23):
it's the music, Yes it's the there are other things
going on, but really, if it's true worship and it's
you know, you're connecting with spirit as well as soul,
it's shifting the atmosphere. I mean, it's bringing his presence
to shift the atmosphere. And that's like a tool that
we can use. It's almost like a weapon. I don't

(17:45):
want to call his presence a weapon, but literally it's
a tool that we can shift the atmosphere. That brings relief,
it brings rescue. You know, it can get you out
of situations where your soul gets so wound up and
wound up and wound up. Just sometimes it's hard to

(18:07):
do that. But remember, seek for seek for that moment
where you know that you know that you are in
this presence and for like we said at the beginning,
that's this welling up of the tears. Oh wow, that's
your presence, Lord, Okay, come on in, you know.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yeah, And the Bible says it's the sword of his presence.
Do you know what that sword is doing. It's dividing
soul from spirit. Oh yeah, yeah, so good. And so
when you're and we're mainly talking about when you're in
your private time with the Lord or you're alone, turning

(18:48):
your your spiritual face to him, prepared to be a
child of God, in maturing sriendship, to hear what the
Lord would say to you, but bringing his presence. There
are some ministers that worship before the Lord and actually

(19:09):
open the heavens and then the whole room can receive
the presence of God. And then there's some that stay
some still very legitimate worshipers of God, but they stay
in the soul realm and they they haven't clicked into
that ability to open the heavens. And the other thing

(19:30):
is is, you know, listening to what you just said, Brilin,
You're meant to bring the presence of God. We're meant
to bring the presence of God to the to the
environments that our flesh is in, our body, soul, spirit.
And yet we have helpers and they're the angels of God.
And you do not have to do all the heavy lifting.

(19:53):
People ask the angels, ask the Holy Spirit, ask Jesus,
send your angels. Break this open for the people that
they may know you.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, And I was also talking about, like when I
was saying about the what's going on in your family,
your home, this is in your quiet time when you're
governing and you're you're declaring His peace and his presence
and the frequency of the heaven you know, love, joy, peace, patience,
all of the frequency your that's his presence. And you

(20:25):
can declare his presence throughout your home or into your family,
or in the car or wherever you are. From that
place of being in his presence, you get to establish
His presence where where it needs to go. For that
for that quote unquote warfare.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Right, or for what your assignment is.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Or what the whatever the assignment is, that you got
what your assignment is, and that's really needful to get
in front of the Lord's face and say, what are
we doing today?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
What's on your heart and your kingdom to release through
my express today my dna, my soul, my spirit on
the physical earth. And I think that's a missing thing
because to me, that equates to satisfaction in life when
I'm able to fulfillment. Yeah, and that's why people feel

(21:19):
they don't have fulfilled lives because they're missing the spiritual
engagement with the Creator, with Jesus as King finding out
what are you what's on your heart today to do
through me getting the download or getting just the nugget
or the impression or the hmm thought, I need to
call some and so you know, and then at the

(21:42):
end of your day you look back and you realize
you've fulfilled yourself with satisfaction because you were not just
soul on physical earth or body on physical earth, but
you were a try hunan being because that's who you're
made in the image of Yeah. Yeah good.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
And it's also I mean, those are the moments when
I want to pull out my destiny scroll say Okay, Lord,
let's look at this. What am I doing today? Or
or how is this? How do you see this project
working out in the earth, you know, or whatever it is.
That's the time when I can say, Lord, what is

(22:21):
the strategy for bringing you here? Because it's his presences
all over it, and so if we're working on his plan,
it's always a good place to be. It'll it'll give
us more juice, more acceleration, more momentum, more like Donna said, fulfillment,
more efficiency and effectiveness.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
And you'll feel that. I think you could use the
word success. You thought that your life or your day
had a success element to it that was supernatural.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, I was just laughing. The Lord was reminded me
a few days ago where man, my soul was just
and itzzy and he said, I heard him say, ask
me to minister to your soul, and I just needed
my soul was front and center. She went and go

(23:17):
sit down, and the Lord knew it and he was Okay,
he loved it. He's just like, I need to minister
to your soul for a minute. And so I just
asked him to do that, and you know what, after
just sitting quietly. I wasn't even really aware how he
was doing it. But what about maybe after thirty seconds,

(23:39):
I just started singing to God, and there was something
in the frequency of sound, just singing to him that
I needed him, that I wanted him, that I was
panting for him as a deer pants for water. I
probably sang for you know a minute, but it just
shifted me. And that is the work of God. That's

(24:00):
the work of Holy Spirit to help you in your
spirit saln body, help you become an equilibrium person and balanced.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Well. I love the idea of the bringing that frequency
because when you're creating a tone through your vocal cords,
you're literally vibrating your vocal cords and you're vibrating your body,
and so you were literally bringing that frequency of His
presence into the physical realm in your body and then

(24:34):
releasing it out.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Oh. I love that the multitude ways of God are
never ending. He's always creating more, and he's and he
and he's just he's just being him, right, And so
do not put him in a box or think that
he's going to do it always the same, because he's

(24:56):
not to be willing to go with the flow of
Holy spirit and catch the wind of what God is
doing in any day, in any hour.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
That that's funny that you said that, because I often
find myself just saying randomly to God, Oh, that's what
we're doing. I wasn't expecting that, right.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
I've come in my office a couple of times and
I'm like, okay, now, what was.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I supposed to be doing?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I know I'm supposed to be doing something, but I
am totally like at a loss here, And then within
a couple of seconds, I'm like, oh, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
My gosh, he works in mysterious ways, doesn't He's so good?
Oh yeah. So just just coming back to hearing his
voice again. Sometimes it will sound like your voice because
it resonates in you. But usually this is my experience anyway,

(26:00):
it will say things that you wouldn't say. All of
a sudden, something will come out of my mouth and
I'm like, clearly that was God because I'm just not
that smart or I didn't even know that, so how
could I.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Or you'll have an impression of a direction and you're like,
I would have never thought to do like that.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
That?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
What did your spirit? That's your Oh that's.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
What we're doing. Yeah. So, so those are the kinds
of things that that's how you know that the Lord
is speaking to you, are hearing his voice when you
get those kinds of things. And then obviously if it's
partnered coordinated with that welling up of tears, then who

(26:45):
you really know? You've got the juice, you are in
his presence, you are hearing his voice. You just go
with it, keep pulling that thread because the enemy would
like to shut you down.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
So that's why sometimes those moments don't last very long.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
You know, be fleeting, and I always remember sometimes you're
you're the one doing too much talking and you need
to do a lot more sensing and listening and perceiving
and discerning, and that requires your mouth to be Your
mouth is so connected to soul realm, you know, it's

(27:25):
the easiest, fastest pattern or path. So to be quiet
and sip be for the Lord. Here's another thing. Your
spirit understands patience like your soul does not. So that's
one way to gauge am I still in my souls.
When you're like looking at your watch going it's taking
too long, being all frustrated, switch over to your spirit

(27:49):
and your spirit's like yeah, okay, we love to wait
on the Lord. Your spirit loves to wait on the Lord.
Your spirit engages and delights in the process. And especially
in America, we're all about not the process. We want
the you know, we're transactional results. Yeah, and your your

(28:11):
spirit man is very involved in process and interested in
that part of it too.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah. Yeah, that was so good. So that was that
was really meaningful when when I heard her say that,
And so when I mentioned that to you today, it
was meaningful again that you you know, resonated exactly what
you were talking about and you knew what I was
talking about exactly. So again, I I just, you know,

(28:39):
I think about how blessed we are to be able
to have a conversation like this, Donna. I just it's
it's just it's rare, and I cherish it and I
don't take it for granted. And I bless everyone who's
hearing us to have someone in your life that you
can have this kind of conversation with. I know that
we've said this many times over the you know, third

(29:04):
three years of doing the podcast now, which is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
And be encouraged if you don't have someone in your
life that you can have this type of conversation with
ask the Lord for that person, and then watch and wait.
He'll bring that person to you. He loves you. Yeah,
he sees your heart already and he wants to answer
your heart's desire. But be patient to wait on him
and he'll bring it. Don't force it, don't strive in it.

(29:31):
I mean, we all get in a bit of trouble
when we strive from our soul to try to do
spiritual things from our souls. It is. And so trust
him that he knows the need of your heart and
he would. He is working behind the scenes to bring
some people or community to you for that purpose.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Yeah. So one other thought before we land the plane here,
we've been talking about the presence and knowing wh you're
in the presence, and so I have I love the
little book by Brother Lawrence Practicing the Presence or the
practice of the presence. I don't remember which way I
was practicing the presence, Okay, Yeah, and it's it's on YouTube.

(30:17):
You could just go get it to listen to someone
reading old story. Yeah. So you can do that and
just think about the things that he did and practice
that presence. I mean, there's a lot of other books
out there, but that's a that's an.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Oldly but a really really goodie, great foundational one to
just yeah, pursue you and ponder.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, right right, And I just encourage you to recognize
when you're in a feel good, exciting, motivational speaking kind
of mode versus having that true awe and wonder and

(31:00):
delight of that those tears welling up heaviness of his
glory mode.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Yep, it bless you to have your own encounter with that, right.
