Speaker 2 (02:39):
All right, So Aaron, where are we going first? Here?
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Bud?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Where are we starting off? At? Man? Hello? The illusion.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
It helps if you're not on mute. Okay, all right,
We're going to our good friend and friend of the show,
Tony Kahn, AEW co owner. He was on Busted Open
Radio this week talking about an impending deal that would
keep AW in the Warner Brothers family. Con said, I
didn't bring my sunglasses to the serious studio today, but
(03:11):
the future is so bright I need them. Wow, the
future is that bright. I know there have been a
lot of reports. I have not done any of the leaking.
With all due respect to the fine people at the
Puck Establishment and the Puck people. I didn't talk to them.
I know they've been reporting things that are very interesting.
There are a lot of reports and rumors I have
(03:33):
not confirmed, and Warner Brothers has not confirmed anything officially.
We have a really strong, exciting future there. I can
say with one hundred percent certainty, AW TBS and T
and T are here to stay for a long time.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
So, John, what do you make of our good buddy
Tony's comments here?
Speaker 3 (03:54):
I don't you know, Tony's an interesting cat. Like I
hear his comments and I go, oh, cut it out, nerd.
But then again I'm on the other side, like you know,
he has to he's the business owner. He has to
play it up like it's a big deal. This is
going to happen. We're going to be around forever.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
And I think we said this on last week's show
or two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
This is going to go on as long as Tony
wants it to go on, and Shad con wants it
to go on with the money they're spending, right, So,
and I would argue the product in the ring is
a lot of fun to watch and witness. The numbers
maybe aren't there the selling of some of these WW
superstars when they come over the booking the creative maybe
(04:37):
not as strong, but the performances inside the ring overall
are pretty fantastic. So when he says there's a future here,
clearly there is an interest in pro wrestling. We have
so many federations, so many companies, so I think they
need I think it's not Ted Turner and WW.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
They're trying to sell it constantly.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think they legit, you know, not Ted, but the
other people there at TND Sports.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I think they're looking at the situation.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
And yeah, I think he's right to be positive and
hopeful because there's no other big dog in the yard
besides WWE, so they only it's AW and WW. No
one else even comes close. And so I think you
can parlay that into some TV and you want to
have that as a jewel in your and your and
(05:23):
your crown there as a network. So yeah, I think
he's right to be positive. I think he is not
necessarily bullshitting us. So yeah, I buy what he's saying.
That this is buy yourself, But I buy what he's saying.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
What do you think, Chris, It's always tough to believe
anything anyone says. Let's just can we just put that
down as a blanket. Like everything, everyone's working all the time,
everyone's trying to sell you something all the time. But
why I do believe him is because of the report
(05:56):
that came out actually about Fox having some interest in
aw programming, where it was stated that apparently it's really
easy to get advertising when with wrestling programming. So with
that being the case, and I mean, as we even
knew in the Attitude era or even back in the
you know, Pandemonium era in the eighties. When WWE does well,
(06:22):
so does everybody else, you know what I'm saying. And
so companies who would love to be in business with
ww know that they can't, and they're going to be
clamoring for wrestling content. What's the next best thing or
at least the next biggest thing. Aw So I sort
of I take what he says and tried the details.
I'm always like, you know, I just crossed my eyes
(06:43):
and blur everything out until I you know, I don't
believe in anything until things happen, So until then, we'll see.
But yeah, I'm pretty much on board of what he's saying.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
The deal is reportedly worth this again sports, we don't
know nothing concrete. It would be three to four years
in length and worth in the ballpark of around one
hundred and seventy million a year. This was a Meltzer report,
So I like that for what you will. I actually
don't know what that means. So I don't know if
(07:17):
that means they're giving them one hundred and seventy million
to run a w on a yearly basis, which seems
like that's not enough because that's a lot of I
don't know how much it costs to run a live
wrestling show on a weekly basis, but I assume it's
in the realm of probably half a mial. I would say,
(07:37):
I have to guess for building, rental, you got talent, travel,
you got lighting, the whole deal to get the trucks there.
It's a lot of money. So as long as that's
you know, I don't think money is their issue. I
don't think that's a problem right as far as aw
cashflow goes, I think it's great, right, like a rising
tide raises all ships, Like if this is true, this
(07:58):
is great, this is good for or ww's are got
their bags. So that's fine. But like a TNA, like
does TNA benefit from something like this? Where where they
access YouTube? I don't know where they are anymore. The
Roku channel just kind of have to seek them out.
It's big for a company like that. I think, like,
you know, you never know turn in the corner. They
(08:20):
could be on fucking I don't know. I don't know
what channels are out there anymore. I don't have cable
v H one. I don't know they could even be there.
You never you never know who's gonna show up.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, they pop up on random channels.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
You don't know who's got the deals for these until
you find out what channel they try to, like I
on or something like. You just never know where they're
going to show up. But with with AW, with this situation,
I mean, the other thing they have to look at
is how are they how what is the how is
the deal working out? Like if the ratings and clearly
the ratings have been going down, So that does that
(08:54):
give you a strong negotiating position? Is WB going WB
going like okay, yeah, well this stuff, but now we're
gonna take more of the pay per view.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Now we're gonna take.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
More of the gate, more of the mud, like we
want you on here and but like we want a
bigger return more quickly. Or are they gonna be patient
with AW as it builds and builds and builds. I
don't know, because I mean, there are some positive signs,
but there are a lot of negative signs as well.
And so I imagine this deal, although it's gonna get signed,
(09:25):
it might necessarily it might not necessarily be like all
at eight no AEW's favor. What do you guys think,
do you think WB might be taking more of the
more of the profit here right off the bat, or
do you think they'll be patient with them still?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
I think they'll definitely be patient. I just because of
what Aaron was just talking about, what what's even on
cable you know what I mean, like what yeah, you know,
when when there aren't CGI Dragons involved, I don't know
who's like really clamoring to get you know what, I mean,
to watch what's happened opening on cable network. So with
(10:02):
the dwindling returns that are happening across the board, where
can you get the most consistent audience sports and wrestling? So,
you know, I think the numbers are just gonna go
up as long as WW stays successful in the industry
in total stays hot.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Yeah, it's fascinating because like sports is huge now right
because I mean Zaslov paid one point five billion for
the NBA one point five billion. I mean, Joel and
b just signed the deal and that fool hasn't even
sniffed the NBA finals, And it is insane how much
money there is out there. I imagine wrestling is going
(10:41):
to go that route eventually, And so maybe you're right,
Chris Warner Brothers is patient. What do you think, Eric,
do you think they're going to be patient? Do you
think they see the dollar signs in the future here?
Once AW kind of gets a little more stronger footing
underneath itself.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
I mean it's hard to say. I don't know what
more resources they can really pump in to AW. Like
the presentation is fine, you know, there's no problem there.
They have like nice sets and they have nice things
and they it looks like a clean presentation. So I
don't know what you can do there.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
The interesting thing for myself as a consumer of content,
wrestling content, a lot of it is money. So are
we going to stop the fifty sixty dollars AW pay
per views and just go to Are they just gonna
go to Max like I don't know, or is it
(11:33):
going to be like an add on pay thing, Like
it's on Max, but you got to pay like ten
bucks to watch it. That's totally fine, that's doable like
every you know, four months or whatever when they have
a pay per view. Yeah, sure, I'll fourk over ten
to fifteen bucks to watch it. But asking people to
part with fifty sixty bucks is crazy. And I know
(11:53):
Peacock just up their rate too, and I'm not very
happy about that.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, ID bar you.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
So that's something else. It's that's always been a real
like sticky point with me and AW. It's like I
get it, like why it's on pay per view, but
it seems crazy to have pay per view in twenty
twenty four when we have all these different streaming services
and stuff. So can we get that figured out first?
(12:20):
It would be my thing.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
It's a fair point. It's a fair point. Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
It's kind of the weird thing about AW, Like they
do decent pay per view numbers for there, you know
what I mean, Like they especially when it's like Forbidden
Door or All Out or a big show like that,
so they're proving that the model still is somewhat profitable.
So it's like, you know, WW long since abandoned it.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Really.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
I'm sure that some people who still buy the pap
refuser don't have Peacock, but you know, I send them
a streaming link or to make things easier. But so, yeah,
it's it's a strange thing, but I just think they're
just gonna keep getting paid out as long as is
the audience is still there.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yeah, you got to also keep in mind that these
advertisers are not seeing the same stuff that we're seeing.
They see they turn on TNT and they see, oh wow,
there's a lot of people watching wrestling, and then somebody
like that's at the show's like, well, the arena is
only half full. They don't care. They don't see that shit.
They're not going on Twitter into the HIGWC and like, well,
I wonder what rating that will Osprey popped in the
(13:24):
quarter hour of nine fifteen. No one, they don't give
a shit. They don't care about any of that. So
try to keep that in mind when these are happening.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm not we don't we
not be as Aaron suffered a week or two ago.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
We don't hate adw like as Aaron had to defend
himself for it's not that it's as we want better
and so the fact that it's going to get more opportunities,
and you know, the it's not just the meltzer part
of it, puck, the sports border of puck. They're backed
it up as well. The one hundred and seventy million
dollars deal three years guaranteed with an option for the fourth,
(14:00):
So there are possibilities and they clearly didn't they didn't
go the five year route as WWE likes to do.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
They went the four year route with an option for
the fourth year.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
So clearly they want to give it at least three
years to see where it's at. So, Tony, you've got
three years. Let's see where we're at in three years.
Let's see who's the round, who's the star. It seems
like MJF a lot of people alluding to the MGF
signed a contract behind the scenes. They haven't announced it yet.
So you've got your main man. Now what can you
build around that. You've got Ospray now full time, you're
(14:32):
bringing in this NJPW talent, you're bringing all this stuff
coming in, So okay, what can you build from here?
So I think there's pieces there and they basically probably
told Tony you got three years. Let's see if it's
turning a profit in three years, and then we'll see
where we go from there for that fourth year.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
So why not? Why not let's see what happens? All right?
Anything else on that? Aeron orshowe move on?
Speaker 1 (14:54):
No?
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Just the announcement is expected either next week at Grand
Slam or the next week at the aw five year
anniversary show.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
There we go.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Now we're moving on to some fun news.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Let's do.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
We alluded to last week that Deaf Rebel, the musical
conglomerations behind most of your favorite and least favorite WWE music,
appears to be on the way out, is of course
in rumors right now, ww's reportedly movie towards more commercially
licensed theme music. Of course, that started with the SmackDown
(15:31):
theme of making the stallion there. What I would like
to do for us is to come up with a
commercial song that fits a current WWE superstar, one male,
one female. I'm happy to go first because I've got
this unlocked. Well, why don't we address the deaf Rebel
fair enough? Before you jumped into the ready? Why don't
you answer your own question?
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Eric?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
What do you think about this deaf rebel do you
think I mean? Because they did right then into the
bloodline stuff, did Roman Rain stuff, They did all that stuff.
But reportedly Randy Orton when they offered him, hey, you
can do it, we can do a deaf rebel.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Song for he was like, no, I'm good. He didn't
even listen to it.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
He turned them down flat out before he even listened
to it. A lot of fans have been complaining, like
Tiffany Stratton's music so like La Knights or Gargano's music.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
And so they're not.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
So this is a law of it feels like this
is like high highs and low lows with deaf rebel.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
So what are your thoughts on this? Aaron?
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Is it time to get rid of them? Should we
go look at Jim Johnston? Is he still around? Like
what's the Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
What a weird thing. People keep saying I left Field,
go get Jim Johnson back like they wouldn't do it, dude, Like.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
They've got already.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
They got r Dy j back for doom. Everyone will
coming back alone.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Leave Jim Johnson. Let him retire and live and do
his church music for his local community.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
For D's sake.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
I have never. I never knew it was a problem
until I went to the Royal Rumble this year and
these people are coming out, especially in the women's Rumble,
and it's like the music plays and like you know,
themes are instantly recognizable, Roman Randy whatever, like you get it.
These people were coming out and I was like, who
is this? And I have to like look at the
video screen and like wait for them, Like okay, the
(17:10):
music is not recognizable, Like Naomi had the glow music
like her own music, and then they changed it and
now it sucks, and then Tiffany Stratton sucks. L A.
Knight's like the one that didn't really suffer, Like it's fine,
but it's kind of the same song. CFOs were the
ones like when they were in NXT making the fucking
(17:30):
Undisputed Era theme, which is unbelievable, the Tomaso Champa theme
all that. But I M for commercially licensed music like
it fits with the people that it fits with, Like
I mean, freaking Trich had a little Kim on vocals
on her song and you had that so called Steve
Austin had a disturbed song for a short period of time. Yeah,
(17:52):
and you know, seeing punk of course he's just called
a personality and Cody's Cody's song is sung by a
real band downstaw eight, So the commercial lights of stuff works.
But yeah, get them out of there, bring bring back
the CFOs. Why did you ever get rid of them?
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Right, because CFOs did the Shinsky nacka Morris song, which
I have written. I have four different versions of that
on my iTunes. I love that fucking song so much.
And Bobby Rude's Glorious Domination. What do you think, Chris
about this Deaf Rebels situation?
Speaker 1 (18:21):
And I love the CFO, I mean, just because theme
songs should be iconic, you know, and not just filler.
Even l A Knight. Right, It's like if if it
didn't have the l A Night at the beginning, when
I know that that's l a nice theme song, I
have no idea.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
That's a great point, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
So it's just kind of like I think, because I
think they got rid of CFOs because they were adamant
that they would they were getting credited for their songs
like jim Johnston, you know has I mean him and
Jimmy Hart have library of the most iconic WW themes
and have no licensing, no residuals, no nothing from their use.
(19:06):
And I think WW wanted to keep it that way.
It was fine when all those you know, superstars were
in n x T and there wasn't much to pay out.
But then once you go to the main roster, then
a whole different level of you know, money and advertising
dollars and viewership, et cetera, et cetera changed a little bit,
you know. So yeah, I do like the notion of
(19:29):
going to more mainstream markets. I mean, that's what made
ECW so cool back in the day. I'll start with
the Prodigy and you know, all that kind of thing,
come out and play for Raven, you know, inter Sandman,
for god's sake. Like the fact that we've only had
one actual inter Sandman in WWE history at ACW one
(19:54):
night Stand. Is that it's criminal. It's utterly, utterly criminal.
And that what I'm is, if they are going to
bring in mainstream artists to do themes, maybe that opens
the door for our vintage programming to get some of
those license songs.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
It's good, it's good thought.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Well, and here's the thing you need to understand about
when you're going into business with Netflix. What you thought
was yours is no longer yours. What you thought of
the operating of your company that got you to be
noticed by Netflix is no longer in play or as revered.
(20:35):
Once they get you, Netflix throws all their people in there.
That's what happened with Avatar the Last Airbender. They're like, yeah,
we're gonna do it. Come on over, everybody who created
Avatar the Last Airbender. Uh, you know what, We're not
gonna do it that way. We're gonna do it our way,
So you guys can go on and we're going to
do our live action version of it. Sorry, creators of
(20:55):
the show. And so clearly Netflix does that with a lot,
and you read stories all the time how people come
over and then Netflix gets involved and starts moving shit out.
I have no doubts that after one of their guys
got involved with that Uber driver situation, and of course
he's not They claim no, he hasn't been part of
the band for years. But it doesn't shine a good
light on them. It just adds to more of the
(21:19):
issues that fans have had. And according to numerous reports,
ww is aware of this, and I'm sure by proxy,
Netflix is aware of this, and they want to go
back to the nineties where you had like distinct music,
as you pointed out Chris and Aaron, distinct music for
each of these people that matched the characters. I mean,
one of the most fun deep dives I do every
(21:41):
once in a while is like watching those behind the
scenes with Jim Johnson, how he comes up with those
how he came up with those themes. They're fascinating watching
this nebbish accountant looking guy tell you how he came
up with these themes, and you just go, this is
really incredible kind of thought and care he put into
these themes. And so that needs to come back. And
(22:03):
it feels like Deaf Rebel is just like, well, we're
gonna make some adjustments here, some adjustments there. And maybe
they're just not as artistically talented and not as knowledgeable
about WWE and these and these characters and how important
the theme song is to get a character over or
get a wrestler over rather, And so that's the situation there,
(22:24):
And I would argue there's you know, so many more
wrestlers than they used to be now in WWE, so
to be able to come up with them new themes
all the time is not easy, but you know that's
the fucking job. So yeah, I think they're gonna be done.
But who comes in? Who comes in? Is there anybody
out there?
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Hey? Man, I understand you want Jim Johnson to live
his life, but let it. Can he be the music supervisor?
Speaker 3 (22:50):
He said he was fired by Vince and he was
hurt by the firing. Even though he says now Vince
did him a favor, he was still hurt by the firing.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
So I think you bring him back is a show
of goodwill.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Come on there, the fans will pop for it. Give
it to him.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
I'm not saying it's all like. I'm not saying it's
like Blue and Doom. Like I'm not saying that def
Rebel didn't have any good ones.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah, but or Jim.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Johnson didn't either. He had some iconic themes. I mean,
the Stone called Steve Austin glash at her like, come on,
the Undertaker, the X come on. Yeah, well that's a
it's a commercial band, but yeah, yeah, literally it's used
for the like the shows, right, like the pay per
views generally have a license ting like I remember like
(23:33):
probably the NXD shows had a Billie Eilisch song before
she was like super big. That's kind of nuts. So yeah,
just been a thing.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yeah, I mean I I but isn't that dangerous to
go that route because I mean that's rights issues, isn't it.
And like that was the big deal with some of
the old content. Is you know, before they got the light,
they were playing like generic rock music instead of the
theme song you remember playing at that time, right, CULTI
personality being the big thing with CEM Punk.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Having to clear those rights everywhere he.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Goes is not easy, and so I wonder if they're
looking at it that way as well, Like they don't
want to do that route unless it's super specific wrestlers.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Yeah, like you can't put it up. Everybody can't get
a license song. It's gotta be just for the top
the top tier people. And like an up and comer
like a bron Breaker would very much benefit from, like
a commercially licensed song. Is the one they gave him
his dog shit, right, So oh yeah, that was one
of the ones I keed in on. Is like, yep,
I know a theme that would fit for imperfectly.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Yeah, are there any new theme songs that you got
like new in the last three years from the rest
that you guys like, is there any of them? I
don't know if any can think of any offhand.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Trick Williams is good because it goes with the crowd.
That fits, or they made it work with the crowd,
so that fits. That's cool, That's probably a good one.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
It's a huge undertaking though, all those wrestlers, it's a lot.
It's a lot.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
But bron on Breaker deserves X gonna give it to you,
I guess. Or if you don't want to do that,
you can go get the WWE Hall of Famers lit
Biscuit yeah, to make his theme break stuff, which would
be fucking awesome.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I can't see putting a brother on bron Breaker, so
I think you have to go, you know, a white
band route.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
That's just my personal opinion.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
I mean, I'm just saying Trish bad little.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Kim, especially after Rick Steiner's belt down at that convention. Anyway,
let's move on. Oh yeah, you want to do your song?
Go ahead, go ahead, Aaron, what's the song you want
to do here?
Speaker 4 (25:36):
I mean, that's that's what I'm saying. Bron Breaker shoul
get X gonna give it to you? Or if she
get breaks up by lend biscuit. Oh and I said.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Charlotte, you would composed some music and you were gonna
trying to get kicked off the area.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
And then I said, for for Charlotte Flair, I would
use Titanium, which is a collaboration between Yeah and Sea,
which is a really good a good too. It's very thematic.
That might be a WrestleMania song. Yeah, yeah, there's some
good ones in there. If you think there was a
there was a whole thread on Twitter where people were
(26:10):
just nailing them. Somebody said that l A. Knight should
come out to Yeah, of course that's the one. That's
the one that would be funny. You mean the two
on the nose. It's a little two on the.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Nose, know what you're talking about?
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
Yeah, well they gotta do that at least once. They
gotta do that. You don't really know where Little John's
gonna pop up, like you just kinda I don't know.
It could be like the grocery store, it could be
like the Democratic National Convention. You don't know where this
guy's could show up.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Yeah, I know it's And don't you think it's been
long enough that we can use let the bodies hit
the floor again, because I feel that could be a
great broad breaker one because I'm I mean, had that
spirit hits. I mean legitimately he is hitting bodies to
the floor. I think that could be an interesting one
to play around that once. Yeah, and it comes with
(27:10):
Chris or sorry quit.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
It just depends on like are we leaning towards like
new artists for up and comers, Like I don't, I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
You can't, don't look to me for that.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Yeah, I got for it.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
I don't know who Chapel Rowan is or Tape mc crane,
whatever these fucking names are. Like I'm already gone, Like
I was hanging on by my fingernails for the last
few years.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
And I fell off over the last year.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Like I really don't know who any of these people are,
and they're making a crap ton of money. God love them,
I just couldn't name any of their songs. So like
Sabrina carpent I don't know who she was, so she
popped up on SNL and all these people are like,
oh my god.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
She's shouting out, she's shading people. I'm like, who the
fuck is this? And Olivia Rodrigo. I just got to
know her.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
I mean, that could be a good song, right, the
what's the one that she has, the one about the boyfriend? No, no,
the one where she says, guy, fuck it, it's fine.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
That reapers right, Get Paramore to Bailey, let it happen.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Oh yeah, that's a Bailey. I like that one. Yeah,
Paramo like that all right.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
The only word I can think of is I was
gonna say, yeah night, it's a good one. Almost anything
by a glow Rilla should go to, uh my girl?
Why am I blank teaming with Bianca right now? Oh
kay yeah yeah, Jill anything glow Rillo. That that just
(28:32):
a match made in Heaven. Get them in the studio together.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
And we'll speaking of musical artists, Sexy Red it's going
to be at the c W n XT. So there
you go, work that out, great?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Tell you who let the Dogs out for broad break
in Mean by Shaggy for Big Pop on that one.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Oh where my Dogs are for and breaker That's not
Bad by.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
D MX Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, the rough Rider,
the whole d m X, whole catalog.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Point, what's the song he hands with eminem What is
that song? Called all right, guys, uh, we'll talk about yourself.
So I figure that that's a good song and m
oh yeah, go to sleep DMX song. Oh boy, that's
that's from the Cradles to the Grave soundtrack, you guys
(29:36):
DMX and Gently Baby.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Ah right, Yeah, someone needs to get a theme from
Lincoln Park with the new singer. Yeah, I guess you know.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
It's got to be one scientologist in in the w
W E for passing on.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
I'm not even touching that one. That's that hurts me
to my core. I'm not even touching that one. You
can't replace. You can'not replace Chester, you can't.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
No, I I agree, I agree, I agree, especially with
someone who's a scientologist who defended But anyway, there you go. Anyway,
all right, let's anything more on this one to show
you move on?
Speaker 4 (30:11):
Well, okay, what about what about yourself? Like if you
were if you were a wrestler, what would your song be?
Because I, while you guys are thinking of this, I
will say that my theme would be a remixed version
of Breaking Benjamin's Blood mixed with the Tron sund track.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Ooh interesting, what did.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
You get an all well daft punk in there? For
I'm big daft punk fans, so yeah, I love that.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
It would probably be something from Rage. Rage has always
been my thing and I love Rage to pieces. I mean,
the lead singer is literally my last name, so I
just I like their music. Maybe bulls on Parade, I mean,
because Killing in the Name of is my favorite Rage
It can't be beat. But I don't know where that
(30:58):
would fit as a theme song for me wrestling wise,
but yeah, I feel like Bulls on Parade is probably
the one I would use because I fucking love Rage,
so that that would be or No, the Bomb track
is good too.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Just do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do
Do Do Do.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Bam, like some version of it that could work with
like pyrotechnics and ship Okay, I'll go with that.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
Funny enough. Jack Swagger when he was in WW had
a instrumental version of Testify.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Oh yeah, so there you go.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Chrissy, got anything in there, Chris.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
I've always said that, well, like, it depends on what
the character was, but I always lean towards Vice City
by Kendrick Lamar, and it's a fantastic like if I
don't know if you're familiar with it, but you listen
to us. Got this great little light piano opening and
then it starts the drums. It's great. But if I
was gonna go more rock like it would be The
(31:55):
Red by Chevelle.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Oh yeah, that's that is a song that anytime it
pops up, I'm just like, yeah, anything by cross Fade.
Chrat's got a couple of good ones. Chris Miner says,
always been sabotaged by the Beastie Boys as his that's
a good one. I wish I was from Brooklyn because
(32:19):
if I was like Taz, I would use no sleep
till Brooklyn. Oh yeah, it just seems like you're gonna
kick ass. Then, Brian Reesman says, when the Levee Breaks
by led Zeppelin, of course it's classic. And Blind by
Corn for Zino. I'm not familiar with Blind, but kind
of in that same Chappelle kind of alternative rock.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
You kind of see it play out with the with
Major League Baseball.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
If you go to a game, right, each of them
comes out to some licensed piece of music, so that
you can really get.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
An idea of what they you don't want to come
out to.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
I mean, Mariano Rivera came out to the inner Sandman right,
So that's I think. I think that's right.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Yeah, the numb jay Z Lincoln Park remix fucking roles.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
I mean, h o V. I mean sorry, what am
I thinking? Allowed me to allow me to introduce myself.
I mean that public, I mean coming out to p
s A.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
That would be fucking great, you know because it's like
doom doom do and you would just see that and
people would just start losing this ship.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Allow me to reintroduce and then boom you walk out.
That would be that would be fucking amazing.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
So yeah, you know the story behind that song. No,
what's so the producer just Blaze it wasn't going on
the Black album?
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Oh what? Holy shit? What?
Speaker 1 (33:42):
They were kind of playing around in the studio and
just Blaze was like, Yo, you need to hear this.
Jay's like, well, I'm about to go downstairs. I have
an interview I'm about to do, and just listen to
it real quick before you do the interview, he says,
he plays the record. Jay Z's like kind of nodded
his head to it. He's like, oh wow, that's amazing, incredible.
You know, goes downstairs, does the interview, comes back and says, hey,
(34:03):
put that beat back on. I got a verse for it.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Holy shit, did the song?
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Wrote nothing down, wrote it while in an interview in
his head. Unreal, And then we're doing on the album.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
You can't help but think that the interview influenced the
lyrics because he essentially was probably you know, reintroducing himself
in a way.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
So oh man, that's amazing. That's amazing. That's why he's
a master. Yeah, exactly, all right, anything more on this?
Shall we move on?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
No?
Speaker 4 (34:34):
But I had a lot of fun with that was good.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
That was a good topic.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Aron, Thank you sending ideas and stream lab.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Send in your stream lab, send in your love. I
mean I pinned it in the chats in description of
the video. Now please send in your love here.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
All right, though I can't play it, but we get it.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
But I got to play it.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
Uh all right, listen, let's move on to the one
I wanted to talk about. I added this this morning.
I finally got a chance to watch this. Eight minutes
and thirty five seconds. This promo was I mean, this
is something that I didn't I thought was going to
absolutely be terrible, and by the end I was ready
(35:14):
to run through a wall, the Roman reigns Cody Roads
here at Georgia Tech Stadium. This may be your feel,
but this is my city. The back and forth, you're
in my way. You're not just in my way for
the belt, You're in my.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Way in life. What an ending? These guys back and
forth coming together here. I just loved it.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
So maybe I'm in the minority on our crew of people.
But what did you guys think of this promo? Is
this the A lot of people are saying this is
the future of the WWE, This is the future of
Netflix with WWE. This is where they're going to go,
this kind of cinematic approach to this kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (35:56):
What did you don't think of the promo? And do
you think this is the future? Jump whoever wants to
jump in here.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
It's kind of funny. It's it's the classic example of
you know, someone a smaller person, artist, company, whatever, does
something and it's innovative, but it's chenzy. You know what
DNA has been doing. I gotta give them credit. They've
been doing cinematic stuff like this for a long time,
(36:27):
even I mean Luca Underground. Lu did cinematic stuff like this,
but it was corny, it was weird. It didn't fit
what was like what we're watching because they tried to
put in like storylines about what's going on in the
outside world. People die, you know what I mean. It's
just like, I don't want that in my pro wrestling,
(36:50):
you know what I mean. The only person who's dead
is the Undertaker. That's all I needed in my pro wrestling.
But you know, but then you know, a bigger company,
a more polished company, sees an innovative idea, they sort
of borrow it, incorporate it into what they do and
make it its best version. Right they drank the thing,
(37:10):
they'll call it, And so that's that's what they did here.
And yeah, it was I thought it was pitch perfect.
I thought that it was it had the gravitas that
it needed to have to tell the story. Both guys
are fantastic actors, at least in this context. You know,
can't talk real much about Cody and Arrow, but he
(37:35):
does have some training, I guess. But yeah, I just
thought it was really super well done and the character
beats is what really made it as good as it was.
And yeah, I definitely think that it's the future we're
gonna see more of it. And it's such a great
way to have your biggest stars on the program without
(37:56):
having them, you know, up in front of the live crowd,
you know what I mean, which is expensive to have
them there every single week, so and also makes it
more special. Like back in the day. You know, I
don't like bringing up his name, but you didn't see
Hogan that often in the arena, you know what I mean.
He did interviews and you know, backstage segments, and then
(38:16):
when you actually saw him in the arena, it was
a big deal. And so I like that for like
the more main event guys. So yeah, more of this.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Yeah, I mean, you bring that up.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
One of the things I discovered this week which I
had not known about, is that, you know, Elvis Presley
rarely did press conferences. He almost never did press conferences,
and he and you would have to go to the concert.
You'd have to go to hear what his thoughts are
about everything as he's doing the concert. So it's a
way of like holding stuff back and here's the gift
you get if you buy the ticket. So what you're
(38:47):
talking about, Chris is kind of in that vein, in
that approach as well, and this is a great way
to respect their time. Look, we're gonna shoot this on
a Thursday night, can you show up. Let's make the
time and then character It's not just that having Roman
coming in with eight fucking SUVs and Cody coming into.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
His little car, a little car.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
I mean, it just is brilliant the approach in cementing
their separate characters and respecting both in their own way.
What did you think about it, Aaron? And do you
think this is the future? You know, the three of us,
you're the most old school in terms of wanting to
go back to that time. So what do you think
do you think this is this is the future or
(39:28):
do you think this is just a one off?
Speaker 4 (39:29):
Well, John, just to clarify, we're not going back. But
the first thing I thought of when I saw this was.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Someone cooked here.
Speaker 4 (39:38):
That's what I was thinking. Someone definitely cooked here. The
actually the.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
First crowd sometimes with stuff like this. So I appreciate
that you liked it.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
Yeah, first thing that popped in my head was Ryan Satin,
our good friend, in a complete panic, trying to figure
out why Georgia of Tech football is important and like,
what's the deal of it? Because I literally watched Ryan
Satin in real time have a brain meltdown. When Triple
H made a football analogy in his presence, I will
freak out, like I was, like, this is what it means.
(40:08):
So I love it, dude. You know, we we're all
football fans. We love that ship. And you know Georgia Tech.
You know they knocked up off some team from Florida
to start the season, so.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
You know, but it's about to your marshalls.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
It's seven. It is seven to seven, my friend, seven
to seven, or anyway.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Two minutes into the first quarter, give me.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
They just scored like a fifty yard lush yeah, leave
it alone. Anyway. No, I thought it was awesome. I
thought it was it was serious, it was fresh, a
new look. Cody said all things that were true. Roman
said things that I'm not sure that are true about
how good he was at Georgia Tech. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
I'm I'm independent verification.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
I'm sure I'm When I think Georgia Tech, I don't
think Joe and Owahee. I think of Calvin.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Johnson, the Kenny Anderson please.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Yeah, so that's what I think of. But I to
have them both on that field and talk about how
important the city all this is, the Omni, this is
where Techwood Studios was, the whole w CW Right, Dang,
that's where they're from. That's where they My family bled
here for this town likes pretty awesome. I said last
(41:26):
week that the attack matches a wet fart, and now
they've made it interesting. So that's how you take it.
In flipp it. I thought it was really good.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
There's no way we don't get a sequel to this,
right what's happening with the Rock in the University of
Miami Stadium. There's no way we don't get a sequel
to this type of approach, because you know that that
makes all the sense in the world. And I don't
know how this Roman Cody thing is going to go down,
but the Rock is supposed to be involved at some
(41:57):
point down the road. So is this a Roman Reigns
confronting the Rock in the University of Miami Stadium or
is it go to Rhodes confronting the Rock. I don't know,
but there's no way we don't get a sequel. I mean,
the Rock has made such a big deal for you
for decades about his University of Miami thing. The Georgia's
tech stuff with Roman was just recently made a big deal.
(42:18):
The Rock has talked at U of m stuff for decades,
so I imagine we'd have to have a thing.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
I mean, this could be a whole cottage.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
I mean, bron Breaker can do what the University of
Michigan thing with Rick Steiner, right, the Steiner connection.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
There also Georgia.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
No one's doing stuff in Kansas State.
Speaker 4 (42:38):
Well, I think the Rock. If I'm not mistaken, someone
will correct me if I'm not. I believe that when
The Rock and brock Lessner fought the first time, their
preview the Rock rent was running the steps at the
Orange Bowl. Oh yeah it kind of done this but
not really.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I loved it. I mean I loved it.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
This is if I feel like, man, wow, every time
I think wrestling can't innovate or we've seen it, somebody
comes along, as you said, Chris, with like this idea.
And yes we've seen versions of this idea in other places,
but like when the WWE does it, it has just
(43:19):
a huger imprint or leaves a larger footprint for a
lot of people to be impacted by it, and bringing
both of these guys in the way, and I think, Aaron,
you're right, Like, were you on board that it seemed
like a force tag team? Now you understand this is
a marriage of convenience, and once the reason for the
(43:40):
marriage is over, we're back to fighting each other for
that belt. And that's exciting. That's that's exciting. So yeah,
we will see, we will see, all right, and anything.
I mean, who could flourish in an environment like what's
one wrestler you think would benefit from a promo this
(44:01):
big time? Who might need it?
Speaker 2 (44:03):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (44:04):
Is there a wrestler who would benefit from something? Because
not all of them are going to be able to
bring the drama in an acting sense in a situation
like this, because Roman's gotten better as an actor.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Cody still good, not great, but good enough for something
like this. Is there someone you think?
Speaker 4 (44:22):
You have?
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Two answers? I got Gunter yep, oh yeah yeah, And
I got l A.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
Knight.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Yeah see.
Speaker 4 (44:33):
I was thinking for if Bianca and Jade ever flip
on each other. I think like having won at like Tennessee,
like the stadium for Bianca would be fucking crazy.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
If you go next level with that, Aaron, I think
you have to have fans in the I think you
have to have a stadium sold out. I think you
would do it at like halftime of a game or
something like that where the fans. That would be awesome.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
I could see them doing stuff like that because they
had that. I fully expect it to be And I'm
making a really bold prediction here that's somewhere in the
next five years they're going to run the Daytona Speedway
just to see if they can do just to see
if they can do it, HM to put a wrestling
show at Daytona. That would be insane.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Yeah, I mean, you could do this at a soccer stadium,
right with the Mexican wrestler.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
You could do it at the Azteca. That would be amazing,
you know.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
I mean to do it in somethings massive like that
and have it echo, you know, I think that would
be cool.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
Okay, throughout that we're just wanting to throw out there.
Marshall just got an interception there. Now they're running They're
running down the damn field against Ohowa State right now, Okay,
all right, okay, Oh one more thing I wanted to
throw in here. This is this isn't in there, but
I just wanted to throw it in there.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Yeah, were you guys.
Speaker 4 (45:52):
Aware of the new SmackDown graphics?
Speaker 2 (45:56):
The logo last week is they're, oh boy, it's better.
Speaker 4 (45:59):
Let me show you. Let me, let me show you this.
I'm going to share my screen here. This is crazy, dude.
So here we go.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Okay, so we're here.
Speaker 4 (46:09):
Look at these match graphics right here on.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
This Yeah, how great is that? Look at that?
Speaker 1 (46:23):
That is like video game level. That was all right?
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Yeah, I like that a lot.
Speaker 4 (46:29):
I didn't even know they were doing that. Yeah, I
just I thought that was definitely worth mentioning because it
looks awesome.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Yeah, a little bit of the Gatorade type of approach
in terms of the diagonals, but the look of it
is very video game ish for sure.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
What do you know, You get rid of a dinosaur
in your production office and then all of a sudden
everything looks kind of modern and cool, interesting, and Dunn
does now all day?
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Who done?
Speaker 4 (46:59):
Kevin sits on his millions. I don't know what he does.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
I bet he sits there and criticizes it all. Oh yeah,
over twelve pack. I bet he brings his boys over
and they sit there in the garage watching this shit.
And criticize the fuck out.
Speaker 4 (47:14):
Where's they go? Where's the girls? Asses? Not enough ass?
Need more ass over here?
Speaker 2 (47:20):
Who is this for? I don't do you know anybody
that would watch this? It'll be like that.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
I do want to throw one out. I meant to
throw this out earlier. Gentlemen, there is.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
A Zilla fa two situation, isn't there?
Speaker 1 (47:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (47:42):
What do you guys think about this?
Speaker 3 (47:43):
He's not appearing on tonight's GCW event in Philadelphia or
any GCW shows for the foreseeable future. Apparently was a
no show at a recent event as well. So is
this him heading to the WWE? Is this a a
Hogan heading to a big the big time in leaving
uh in the lurch?
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Is this what Zilla Fato is doing here? Do you think?
Is this a bloodline addition now in motion?
Speaker 1 (48:11):
H Here's the thing about Zilla, He's very He's still green,
He's still super duper green. So I don't see a
scenario where they bring him into this story. I just like,
maybe maybe an xt you know what I mean? Like
perhaps look great, look you know what I mean? Maga
(48:35):
son like the pedigrees there, but you still got to
know how to do this thing. You know what I'm saying,
and was cool and all, but I mean, he's gonna
need an attitude adjustment, not from John Cena like in
real life if he is, you know, unprofessional in the
way that he's being accused of being. But I there's
(49:00):
potential there, it's just a matter of now is would
not be the time to bring him in. I mean,
they still got to bring in Hiccoleo, you know what
I mean, who's not as experienced as the rest of
the guys that currently are in the bloodline.
Speaker 4 (49:15):
Uh, don't do that, Yeah, don't do don't do that.
Even Vince in his tyrannical rule would tell you finish
out your dates if he were bringing somebody in. So
that shows to me a lack of respect for your
fellow wrestlers, the company and every Don't start that, like,
(49:38):
you need to curb that immediately. And I'm very surprised,
knowing that he was at least partially trained by Booker T,
that this would happen because Booker T, the people that
he've trained, the USO's and Rox Sane Perez and folks
like that, seem to be pretty damn professional. So I
don't I don't know where this comes from. I don't
know if this is hubrious, but I feel like the
(49:59):
people within his family will tell him, we'll set him
straight on this, like you don't do these kind of things.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Yeah, Senior, how come they're not cutting twenty times?
Speaker 2 (50:10):
Kevin done?
Speaker 1 (50:10):
Probably that's Kevin don starts a podcast with Vince Russo.
Speaker 4 (50:14):
Oh my, oh.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
No, thanks?
Speaker 3 (50:17):
No, all right, let's let's move Aaron segment of the show,
the People's segment, as.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Aaron called it last week.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
Let's get into all right, Aaron, what do you got
for us?
Speaker 4 (50:37):
Buddy? All right? Man, I know, I feel like Broke
has been one to talk about this for a long time.
Here we go. Record from Fight Full Select. It is
believed that Miro, the former Russev, has asked ae W
for his release. It is worth noting that Miro has
not had to has not wrestled a televised wrestling match
(50:57):
since December thirtieth of twenty twenty three, means he's had
no matches this year. So John, I mean we'll start
with you here, buyers, So Miro returning to the WWE.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
I absolutely buy it, and so many people have been
coming after him online for him not making it work
at AW.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
Bruh.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
We just saw what happened when CM punk came over
because he wasn't one hundred percent making it work at AW.
Miro is lost there. He's no longer with Lana. So
that's done. The AW thing is done. Go into WWE. Brother,
there is a lot to book him with Miro versus
(51:46):
bron Breaker. Sign me up right now for two big
meaty men slapping meat. And I love this idea slapping
me exactly. I love this idea of him coming in
and being a part of this situation. And look, I'm
a big fan of the endo morph body types, and
(52:06):
certainly he is an endo.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
Morph body type. It is just this stack beast coming
at you.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
And so I think there is absolutely another run for Miro,
and I think the WWE would salivate creatively at what
they could do with him and the amount of people
they could put him up against. And wouldn't it be
fun to have him another run with the icy title.
That could be a lot of It could be a
lot of fun, and you never know, maybe there's a
next level, maybe there is a mini run with the
(52:35):
top belt. I don't know, but certainly give him a chance.
Seth Rawlins and Miro would be an awesome match. So
I love this idea and I buy it like crazy.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
Chris, what do you think Rusev Day coming back to WWA?
Speaker 1 (52:50):
Absolutely? I buy it for everything that John said about
the matchups. Man, and I interest you in Guta versus Us?
Can I interest you in Cody Rhodes versus Russev? Can
I interest you in anyone in the Bloodline versus Russev?
(53:12):
Can I interest you? Come on? I mean the list
goes on and on and on. We just talked about
last week the loss of Bobby Lashley and how that
left like a big gap in a lot of what's
happening on the main event level, and you can easily
slot Russev in there. The fans would get behind it,
the Russev Day would be revived, and yeah, there's no
(53:33):
distractions from Lana, Slas, CJ and all that. So yeah,
I think it's nothing but a win. You know, if
he if he's got his head on straight about the situation.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
Yeah, man, you drop your dead weight and uh, let's
see what happens with with him going. So that's a
buyer for me. Could I see him making any short
run in like a T and A or something. Yeah,
I could do that to get like some some footy
under him. But he's been a triple H guy. He's
an NXT guy, Day one guy, So I could see
him doing that a run with the man. If they
(54:09):
brought him into Foil with La Knight, I think, oh
that would be a fun to be really good for
that United States title. He could really do some stuff.
It depends on Harrow's characters because if they bring him
in and they're like, oh, Reuss up Day and all
that bullshit, no thank you. But if they bring him
in like he was presented in aw as like this killer,
I would like that a lot. He always got shoehorned
(54:32):
with dumb shit. It was like, oh the League of Nations,
Yeah that's stupid, and then oh, Bruce up Day, which
was fun for a while, but it's not. That's not
what we need. I mean, this dude was WrestleMania with
John Cena, Like, yeah, we can do stuff with him,
and I think he will definitely get a shot.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:51):
He said recently that he had a shoulder injury and
elbow injury that occurred late last year, and he took
care of it in late January, got a whole bunch
of shots and I was covering rehapping and he's gonna
come back stronger than ever.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
And the reports are that he asked for his release.
So yeah, I'm down. I like this idea. Okay, be
the Redeemer mirror.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
That is such a cool thing. Man Him against God
was awesome.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
Him and Trick him and Carmelo those these are incredible
matches in my mind.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Right now already. Oh, just book him.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
And it's a different creative team that did the russev Day.
It's a creative, different creative team, so there is possibilities
for so much more with him.
Speaker 2 (55:34):
So yeah, anyway, sorry, go ahead, Aaron.
Speaker 4 (55:36):
Sorry, I'm sorry. Next next story up on the dock,
and we have another report. According to Russell votes, USA
Network will move to a three hour broadcast for SmackDown
starting January third of twenty twenty four. We just talked
about how great it was that Rawle was condensing to
two hours for a little bit. So Chris Bayer sell,
a three hour SmackDown has the right amount of SmackDown
(55:59):
per week.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
I gotta listen. I if I'm selling it's a Friday night, Okay.
I can't give three hours to pro wrestling on a
Friday Monday. You know, fine, I watched the East Coast
Feet anyway, so we five to eight. Baby, We're good,
you know what I mean? But Lord, I mean, what
(56:25):
do they not want you to have a social life?
I guess the guys who watch wrestling traditionally do not.
But you know it's I can't do it. I personally
will not do it. I will I'll catch you on
the replay or I'll watch a wrestle Talk recap of
that last hour.
Speaker 4 (56:42):
Brother, I have the turntables have turned John, Do you
buy yourself SmackDown? Three hours is the right amount of time?
Speaker 3 (56:50):
Listen, I one hundred percent buy this. This is their
premiere show that they want to make. They want to
make this their premiere show. They've been doing this for years.
For the last year or two that they've been like
really focusing the big big dogs on SmackDown. So making
it another hour makes all the sense in the world.
If Netflix is going down to two because they want
(57:11):
to tighten shit up on Raw, you got to take
care of the overflow on SmackDown, And so to me,
that makes all the sense in the world. I like
the idea, and Chris, I think you stumbled upon the
correct answer. A majority of WWE fans are home on
a Friday night to watch SmackDown for three hours, or nowadays,
of course you've got the you can just record it
(57:32):
and you watch it the next day, or watch it
that night when you get home and you're drunk a
shit over you Tako Bell like, there's a lot of
ways you can enjoy SmackDown on a Friday night for
three hours.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
So to me, I buy it completely. I look forward
to it.
Speaker 3 (57:44):
I think there's a lot of talent on that roster
in order to do three hours with and new talent,
they'll be bringing in the old talent and we're talking
Miro that could really have a chance to shine on
a three hour SmackDown. And because it's Friday night, it
makes it feel important. It's a Friday night SmackDown. Oh shit,
I gotta stay in for this one, you know. So
(58:05):
I like this idea.
Speaker 4 (58:07):
Someone in the chat said that we mentioned wrestle Talk.
Support wrestle Talk. We love wrestle Talk here. We're a
big wrestle Talk fans. There you go, But anyway, I
am you already know where this is going absolutely not. Actually,
if you could cut it down to one and a half,
that'd be much better.
Speaker 3 (58:25):
SmackDown on what Happened without commercials ERA, And that's true,
that is true.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
But SmackDown on Fox was at its best when it
was two hours and just we're in, we're out. Everything
has to be on point for the story. I feel
like if you stretch it to three you're you're allowing
yourself to be lax, and I don't enjoy that. Although
the Chelsea Green Dumpster segment on SmackDown ten out of ten,
ten out of ten, maybe eleven out of ten good stuff.
(58:54):
So that that raises the question, are we to get
more of that? Because you were back in the in
the early nineties, they would do like the Superstar present
like presentation, things like the Mister Perfect vignettes are legendary.
Are they gonna start doing more of that?
Speaker 1 (59:09):
I hope?
Speaker 4 (59:09):
So I don't. I don't know if that If that's
the case that I'm in, but straight at three hours, like,
we're all such a slog for me to get through.
End of you guys are on a different coast, so
it's a little different. But eight pm to eleven PM,
that's tough and SmackDown's gonna be seven to ten, okay,
but it's not. It's gonna be eight to eleven. That's
sucks too.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
I almost never watch Raw live.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
I almost will always watch it the next morning and
fast forward through whatever I think is boring. So yeah,
you know, it's a different situation. But I think you're right, Aaron.
I think the vignettes will live there. I think that's
where that shit's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (59:48):
For sure, Murderantis Smacknen will be available on Netflix the
following day. Two. Not sure if that means the US.
I don't think so, because well, smack Deen was on Hulu,
but they they cut their agreement. So maybe just Peacock.
I don't know where that's where the stuff is gonna live.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Is going to Is it going to USA? And it's
on USA?
Speaker 4 (01:00:08):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Isn't that it's on the USA? But like the past episodes,
like where they have the library, its essentially Peacock, but
it's not the whole I don't know, it's a whole
different thing. You should buy physical wrestling media, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Good luck, all right? What's our next one? Brother?
Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Our next topic? Another fun one this week Ken sham
Rock was a guest on Insight with Chris van Vliet,
where he discussed a multitude of things. Most interestingly to me,
his famous is infamous chair shot to the face from
the Rock during the Attitude era. Share Rock said about
the chair shot, anybody knows the school. The skull is
(01:00:44):
put together the thickest part of your forehead, just like
with football, and now they can't do it. But usually
hit with the forehead and if you get punched most
of the time, if you hit somebody in the forehead,
you're gonna break your hand. So I just losically thought
I was gonna get hit in the head. This did
me in the hardest part. It's my forehead.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
He went out to talk about China, he talked about
different things and how how's run ended. But I have
always been a big fan of Ken Shamrock. So I
want you John Roca to buy or sell Ken Shamrock
as a certified wwe should be Hall of Famer.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Yeah, I buy that. By that, I love Ken.
Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
I love more than Dan severn Or who was the
other guy with the karate pants the boast. I mean,
Shamrock had personality those other guys they were really martial artists.
It wasn't personality right, Shamrock was crazy and I loved it.
I mean, like that whole thing was awesome. His theme
(01:01:45):
song was fucking great talking about theme songs, uh.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
And I liked a lot of his matches.
Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Ken seemed like like he was a student. He wanted
to learn, he wanted to get better, and he was
willing to do whatever they asked him to do. And
clearly he says that throughout the interview with Chris fan Fleet, which,
by the way, another fantastic job by Chris van Fleet
to get these kinds of open and honest conversations from
these wrestlers without goading them, just and naturally asking in
(01:02:11):
the course. It's so incredible what he does, Chris there,
It's so smart, and you get these nice answers and
in depth, interesting answers from the wrestler. So yeah, absolutely
I buy it. And I really loved what he said
about the whole situa. I mean, like, look, you know,
I'm no Brett fan, but the fact that the Brett
screwjob like affected his feelings about Vince and the WWE,
(01:02:32):
that was something I didn't know about, and that was
a fascinating thing to hear about from him, and then
how he defended the fact that he didn't want to
work with China that he had told I mean, this
is the guy who is made a living portraying a
character that looked crazy and was going to lose it
at any moment. Wasn't like that was like his theme
song that he would go nuts. And he's the one
saying I had three boys and I told them to
(01:02:54):
respect women at young ages, to not put your hands.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
On a woman.
Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
And here I am, and they're pitching me this program
with China and I refuse to do it because I
didn't want to put my hands on a woman. And
I thought that was really interesting to hear from someone
like from Ken. So I'm one hundredercent on board. He
should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame. He's a great,
great dude, you.
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
Know, Chris can Shamrock hall of Fame?
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
What does this tell you? Buy it? Baby? Come on?
Are you kidding me? From his debut in what may
be the most painted on referee outfit, But I mean
(01:03:40):
he was Shambrock's religion. That match like unreal. But as
soon as he came out, you knew all this guy.
I mean, this guy's gonna be awesome, you know what
I mean. And the look, the move set, the intensity,
the real life fighting background, you know what I mean.
Like that was our window into guys like Kurt Angle
(01:04:02):
and brock Lesnar and you know, etcetera, etcetera, Like guys
who had a real fighting background, not just Jr. Talking
about their amateur wrestling record or back you know what
I mean, back in the day or whatnot. But yeah,
man Ken Shamrock was ahead of his time, Like look
how big the UFC is now. And he was such
an icon for the early days. I mean, granted it
(01:04:24):
was like bus drivers versus YMCA karate instructors at the time,
but he again, look what we've seen with brock Lesner
and even Kane Velaskaz for a second, I forgot that. Yeah,
but yeah, dude, he really broke some doors down and
(01:04:44):
was such a pivotal character, you know, at at at
certain points so and and could really function in any level,
a mid card, main event, whatever you needed him to do.
And he was always legit, never lost his heat. Those
kind of guys are rare, and they often get put
in positions to where they got to put people over
all the time, but yeah, Shamrock was special. Definitely put
(01:05:07):
him in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
If anybody's going to take a chair shot to the face,
it's going to be Ken Shamrock and Knock complain about it.
As far as Hall of Fame goes, Oh yeah, I mean,
like Big Vibe been wanted to buy that for a
long time. I've always said that if Ken Shamrock comes
in like a week later, a week before, they're going
to make n w W champion, Like he absolutely had
the credentials for it. Long time intercontinental champion in that
(01:05:34):
corporate stable with you know him in the Rock Big rivals,
then less. So don't forget former NWA World Savyweight champion.
The first n WA champion under the TNA banner was
Ken Chamick who lost it to uh Ron Killings.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
Maybe you may know him as our truth, but yeah, Shamrock,
I believe he's in the UFC Hall of Fame. So
if he could get in the UFC and Hall of Fame,
that would be dope. And I hope he bashes Tito
want to tease a new speech. So but the Huge
Vibe love Shamrock. Great great dude for that anyway. I
don't know about him personally, but great guy otherwise.
Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
This is his comments to Van Vlid about this particular
buyer cell that you're asking about Aaron. He said, it's
not something that I dwell on because I felt like
everything that I've done in my life, I've been blessed
to have been in those moments. What comes after that
is just icing on the cake. And if that happens,
it's going to be a true thrill. But like I said,
it's not something I lose sleepover. I really enjoyed my
journey and I'm very, very happy with the way my
life has turned out. And I do get asked that
(01:06:38):
a lot, which I think.
Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Is a good thing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
So yeah, I mean, like he's got a nice perspective
on it, and it seems to make sense to bring
him back, and this is a contemporary of Triple H's,
so it makes all the more sense to bring him
back and do a Hall of Fame thing for Ken
as well, because I mean, I don't think any of
those MMA guys, right, none of the guys are in
the Hall of Fame. Dan Severn isn't in the Hall
of fame, and Ken is arguably the greatest of them
(01:07:02):
all to have made a bigger.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Impact than all of them. So I think it makes sense.
And don't give me a brock. Lets give me a break.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
What about Daniel Peter? Oh yeah, what about Dave Batista?
Talk about MMA fighters? What we're talking about here? Fun
That's always a funny thing to me when people bring
that up, Like super Book was terrible the UFC. Yeah,
so you you'd be fucking terrible.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
Yeah, he had the balls to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
That's he took beating Son great.
Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
Wait for seam Punk as well. All right, moving on
to our last topic, could buy ourselves? The main event
of a W DNA featured a trios match between the
Young Bucks and Okada taking on Will Osprey, Kyle Fletcher,
and one of our favorites here, Gosket Takachka. Keshka again
was impressive as hell. So John, I'm gonna go back
(01:07:55):
to you buy your cell to Kashka as the future
ae W world champion.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Well, I watched this match and he didn't even get
the pen, Aaron, So I was I was confused about
why you put it on the rundown because I'm like, yes,
of course I buy Takeshta.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
Of course I buy him at some point get he
has a beast. I don't know. I don't know many Asians.
Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
This side of Bolo Young they look as big as
Takeshta does. And so I'm I like the size of
this dude. I like his comfortableness in the ring. And
let me tell you something that he does really well.
That some of these guys that have come over from
Japan for me or from from the Asian coaches, aw,
not all of them sell shots.
Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
He sells the shots, and I like that about Takeshta,
and so.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
You're into it, and he does the big spots very fluidly,
and I love that about him. And this was a
trios match that was a lot of fun to watch,
little staged at time with the Osprey and Young Bucks
the little stage in certain moments, which which makes my
old old school cockles get a little upset. But I
still like the match, and Takesha is a based so
(01:09:04):
if they book him correctly, I would love to see
him versus Osprey down the road.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
As a heel.
Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
He would be go great or vice versa. So yes,
I absolutely buy it. Even though he didn't get the pin.
I think he showed up and showed out like he
always does. So I do too buy.
Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
It, Chrissy buying. Takashian's the world champion.
Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Absolutely. In his younger days overseas, they were calling him
baby Okada, I mean, and so, yeah, I see it,
you know what I mean. I can't wait till they
have their you know, eventual confrontation one on one in
aw that's coming down the pike for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
Man, he's got the look, he's got the ability. He
keeps showing out in big matches.
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:09:50):
Get him away from Don Kallas, that's not doing anything
right now. I agree, and so and then let him, Yeah,
let him spread his wings and fly a little bit.
I think that he's going to be really uh really
good in the future, for sure. He's really good now
for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
I'm also buying. I'm gonna buye here. I think what
surprises me about him is that, you know, we talk
about like the the foreign persons, you know, ability to
connect to the crowd because their English is not their
native language. But I'm wrong with that. But for him
in particular, I feel like he doesn't need to talk.
(01:10:25):
He just goes out there. He wears like the leather jacket.
He's just quiet. It just beats people's ass, which is great.
He does that blue thunderbomb, I would argue better than Sandy's. Ay,
it looks more devastating than when he does it because
he's bigger and stronger than he's Ay.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
You said that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
I said that, and I and I stick to it.
It sucks because we never really got that full thing
with him in Kenny Omega. So hopefully, hopefully Kenny is
coming back soon. I saw that he was training with
the Bushie, so hopefully he's at least gonna do something.
I was gonna say Kyle Fletcher in this, but I
(01:11:03):
thought that Kyle Fletcher doesn't pass the name test, so
nobody's going to buy him as the world champion. Though
he has impressed me.
Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Yeah, he's building. I like what he did in that.
Speaker 4 (01:11:12):
Yeah, but the name Fletcher doesn't scream world champion, so
I don't know if we can do that. And that's
that's something that's big when you're looking at a marquee
Roman reigns versus that's a long touchdown versus Kyle Fletcher.
Not so fast, not so fast. Soshka has got it.
(01:11:35):
I think you'll get it to go all the way
at some point.
Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
Yeah, you might be right. Are there a lot of fletchers?
I mean not really a lot of successful fletchers and athletics.
Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
Fletcher read from Liar Liar and Jim Carrey.
Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
What Wow, Jessica Fletcher from Murder.
Speaker 4 (01:11:54):
She wrote, great Mattlock's coming back? Why not Murder?
Speaker 3 (01:11:57):
Kathy Bates his mat Hello? Yeah, Ryan, Wow, Jessica Fletcher's
big matter? Like I said, Chris their home at night
Friday night, Like.
Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
I said, Oh no, it's a tale of all this time?
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
Has everybody answered this one? Because I want to throw
one last one in here randomly. So the big rumor
this week, and listen, I know you all in the
chat and be going crazy about it, so let's bring
it up. The big rumor is that the Lucha Bros
Have signed with the WWWE. This is absolutely what we're
seeing as a possibility as happening here. Penta and Ray
(01:12:37):
Phoenix are now with the WWE. So do you buy
them being successful now that it's official with the WWE?
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Because I saw a.
Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
Really interesting article going into the five places they could go.
They could become LWO members, they could be in the
Tag team tournament. They could create a new faction with
Ray Mysteriou, they could get into the Tag team division
and win those belts and what have you? So, gentlemen, Aaron,
I'll go to you first. Is this going to happen
(01:13:10):
considering the checkered past of luchador wrestlers in the WW
or will this be a flame mount?
Speaker 4 (01:13:15):
What's your measure of success?
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Like they're gonna make a lot of money tag team
belts and getting over where the fans are like chanting
their names like Okay, I'll go, here's the top bar
the New Age Outlaws. Could they become the Spanish version
or the Mexican version of the New Age Outlaws?
Speaker 4 (01:13:36):
By that, okay, I'll buy that. I think they have.
I mean, obviously they have a unique look that's not
out of the ordinary to say. It really depends on
where they get put in, because I'm sure Chris will
say an he is correct that we don't have to
put all the same people together. It's fine, so we
(01:13:57):
don't have to do that. I think they're good as
a team. Depends like, do you care about the Tag
team division enough? Because d I Y comes out there
and while Champa and Gargano are great. I can hear
myself my heart beating during their interests entrances like no offense,
rebel music. It could be. I don't think that'll be
(01:14:17):
the same for the Lucier brothers because they'll get that
initial you know, go in pop and I don't know
why if you mentioned it, but it just it feels
like they're gonna get shoehorned into like, oh, well being
the lw being the judgment day whatever. Just just let
him do their own thing and as long as they
could do that, they'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:14:35):
I feel like they could beat Finn and JD right now.
For God's sake, What about you, Chris? Do you buy ourself?
Luci Bro's being successful in the ww A.
Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
Need the money buy it all day long. I mean, look,
we talked about a thousand times. They keep trying to
touch that Latin audience. Yeah, I and they remember the
great news Savetti Guerrero and how he galvanized that community
to support WWE in a way that they had never
(01:15:07):
seen before, and they have been chasing that dragon ever since.
I mean, that's why they won't let Raymisterio retire. For
the sakes you know. But yes, the key is to
keep them away from the all Latin people gotta be
together Vortex Like. I do not want them feuding with
(01:15:30):
freaking del Fantasma. I don't want them feuding with the LWO.
I don't want them joining either Stable. I don't want
any of that. Just like you said, let them do
their own thing. Do not turn them into Lucha Lucha
lucha and all that garbage that they have people do.
Just let them come in and wrestle. They will get
(01:15:51):
over on their own, especially Ray Phoenix as far as
n Ring is concerned, Penta as a character once he
starts doing that arm break spot and if they let
him do the cradle pile driver, which they probably won't,
you know, but they can get over on their own.
They don't need to be lumped in to any situation.
Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
Yeah, let me just about Latinos. We like to walk
our own fucking paths, for better or worse.
Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Oh my god, what the hell chut it? For better
or worse?
Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
We like to walk our own path right, And so
when you if you bring these guys in, having them
rebuff advances from all the other Latino factions, I think
we'll get them over I think that will get them
over like we do our own thing. We don't just
get together because you ask us to. We're going to
do our own thing, and so that will be interesting.
(01:16:44):
And then down the road, if you get you know,
like a program set up with them against two of
the other Latin wrestlers, then you've already done this other
roundabout way to get to that spot. And I think
that will get them all the fans, so then people
can look forward to the to that for those four
wrestlers getting in the ring.
Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
So I think that's the smart move. So I buy this.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
I think Ray and Phoenix have a good head on
their shoulder, or Pens and Ray have a good head
on their shoulders, and they'll walk.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
Their own path and do it that way.
Speaker 3 (01:17:15):
That would be the smart move because I think, let's
be honest, I think a lot of fans would respect
that more than if they just got lumped into another
Latino faction and whatever, because I love that on dry
Day's finally getting pulled out and doing his own thing
right now with mellow Let's keep that going, you know,
like we don't all have to fucking get together, because honestly, Latinos,
(01:17:36):
we have a hard time being with other latinos, so let's.
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
Be fucking true, all right, So there you go. I
like it all right? Anything more on this? Can we
move on to these stream labs before we roll on
out of here?
Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
Just impressed. We haven't mentioned that dude from TNA and
this whole show, so that's good once Yeah, we're done
with byrons.
Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
Okay. Just want to make sure because it's twenty one
to seven. Just wanted to make sure you just know
what you don't have.
Speaker 4 (01:18:01):
I don't have to say that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
I checked the score. It's not looking great well.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
I mean, Ohio State did drop a punt, but they
called it back for off sides or whatever. Both sides
pull up, so it's not going.
Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
Well now I get. I think I just got a
window it to Kevin all right.
Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
Chris Minor sent in a streamline and and Derek, thank
you so much for asking. We're not at a thousand
subscribers on this particular channel yet, so we can't get
super chance, but stream labs is the way to go.
Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
I pinned it in the chat there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
If you want to send something real quick before we
wrap up the show, feel free. We got four of
these to answer, so you might have some time if
you want to send something in. Chris Minor says, I
just want to show my support and to keep up
the good work. Chris, tell the Bloodline, Judgment Day, write
the sense of the Core, and whatever faction you're in
this weekend that I say, hello, John, Sorry, my Memphis
Tigers beat f SU Oh please, yeah, we suck.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Stop I mean, but I'll tell you this.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
This week the California the cal Bears memes have been
off the chain about them coming to play us in Florida.
Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
It's amazing. But Chris, uh, please tell all the factions
that you're a part of.
Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
That.
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
Chris says, I'm only one. What do you mean, I've
only ever been in one faction. The Everyone knows I'm
the third Lucher brother. Everyone knows this, Like what do
you mean?
Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (01:19:27):
For quite a while, like everyone relaxed, like I don't
understand these allegations.
Speaker 3 (01:19:33):
Speak Spanish?
Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Yeah, whoa peki?
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
Because you have no excuse, you should speak it perfectly.
You literally live in a Spanish country right now.
Speaker 4 (01:19:54):
I know I'm just told you something in Spanish.
Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
I just told you that it was not that good.
Speaker 4 (01:19:59):
That's well, one of my coworkers did tell me I
speak creepy Spanish, so I can't help it. I can't
help it. I'm trying.
Speaker 2 (01:20:08):
I am all right.
Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
Francisco Lope says my theme song will be instrumental of DMX.
Quote intro from its Dark in Hell Is Hot album,
one of my favorite DMX songs.
Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Oh, I don't know that one.
Speaker 4 (01:20:24):
The whole DMX just put a DX give somebody the
rough Rider's anthem, like great, right, that's just.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
What we're doing. That's just what we're doing in wrestling.
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
One time, one time I went to a bar in Columbus, Ohio,
just a random bar, and all of a sudden, this
guy starts like singing. We're like, what it sounds like DMX.
It was DMX. He just popped into a bar and
just like whatever, just like, let me throw spit some
bars at you real quick. What is going on? This
is ins tremendous.
Speaker 1 (01:20:59):
Not surprise. He on his reality show he made eggs
in like a seven eleven microwave, and it was one
of the weirdest things I've think. It has disturbed my
spirits to this day. I had never seen anyone who
make scrambled eggs. In a microwave first of all, let
alone out of seven eleven microwave and it blew My god.
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
I gotta find that clip all right, al right, it.
Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
Was a great rendition of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
Oh yes, fantastic, that's right, fantastic.
Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
I loved got rest in Peace, brother, rest in Power.
Uh yeah, I can see the Lujo Bros.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Coming out to rough Riders anthem. That would be awesome. Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
Mike Age says, I can't wait for the one and
a half hour long bloodline segment on every SmackDown.
Speaker 4 (01:21:56):
Yeah, that's definitely happening.
Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Although I think we're back in the I don't know
if I buy this two point zero blood light any
I mean, they came out of SmackDown.
Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
I was like, what are you people doing? Like they
put the bloodlight up there and I'm like, that's not
the No.
Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
That's like when they brought out those guys that looked
like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. That's sense what it
feels like when you're seeing that, it's like that that's
not really the bloodline? Am I wrong to feel this way?
What do you guys look.
Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
At what do you guys think just countdowns when the
final boss gets back. I think I think they fully realized,
like Solo eight, the one, Yeah, you know what I mean? Like,
could you imagine if he was in that Georgia tech
st segment that I ended? What what are you even
doing here? You know what I mean? Like? This ain't
even the rock gives you everything we need?
Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
Scott Welsh says, hey, guys, was able to get a
ticket to Survivor series this week.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Nice. Haven't been to a WW show since rock Bottom
in nineteen ninety eight. W that is twenty sixty years.
Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
Wow, rock Bottom? I remember, I remember the poster with
the rock Bottom and.
Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
The road dog.
Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
Oh yeah, Well, Scott, if you can get a sign
put up the Ring Generals as a sign for no,
that'd be great.
Speaker 1 (01:23:19):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
Justin Toner says, what's up?
Speaker 1 (01:23:21):
Justin?
Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
He says, hey, guys excited for Bad Blood in two weeks?
Which match are you most excited for? Also reports are
Lucia Bros. And MotorCity Machine Guns are both at Holy Shit?
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
What really?
Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
Both headed to WWE, so that should boost the tag
team division. NXTO CW debut show is stacked. I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Have we booked all the Bad Blood matches?
Speaker 4 (01:23:47):
It's next week, so we haven't really talked about it.
I mean, you got punkin McIntire, you got liv and Rhea.
I'm sure there's more I can look hold on the
tag match.
Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
Well, this is just our initial thoughts because obviously we'll
have a preview and prediction.
Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
So yeah, I mean it's obviously for me it's CM
Punk and Drew McIntire because I want to see how
that ends. Some people said that seeing Punk cut the
best promo of his career this week on wrong I
don't agree, but.
Speaker 2 (01:24:12):
I thought it was a good promo, but not the best.
Speaker 4 (01:24:14):
Yeah, good promo. I see him Punk being like the
heir apparent Shawn Michaels is fucking crazy when you think
about it, in the grand scheme of things. So yeah,
I don't know how much longer we're going to have
one Bill Phil out there doing matches. He says, I'll
do it till he dies or whatever. Everybody says that, right,
So I'm just gonna enjoy this run while I can.
(01:24:35):
And while I'm not the biggest cmpunk fan on the planet,
I have enjoyed.
Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
This run Yeah, whereas I am the biggest mpunk fan.
I am looking forward to this, but I can't believe
I'm going to say this. I'm looking forward to the
Living Rea match. I can't believe I'm saying that. I
can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true.
Speaker 2 (01:24:52):
I am.
Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
I like what they've been building up here, and I
can't believe I'm looking for. The other matches are right now,
Cody Roads, Romerines versus Solo and Jacob Fattu and Damien
Priest versus Finn Which one is there one you're looking
forward to, you, Chris.
Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
I'm looking forward to see if WW is gonna spend
the money to get Taylor Swift bad Blood as the
theme song, Like, come on, what are we talking about?
It's right there, it's right they.
Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
No way she does that, she knows that's a right
leaning company. No fing way she gives them her song
nofing way.
Speaker 1 (01:25:26):
Man money sogs locks. But I am looking for I mean, really,
they've done a great job in building up all these
you know what I mean. It doesn't feel like a
money in the bank situation where well hell in to
sell pay per view situation where it's like it's March,
(01:25:48):
we gotta have a cage match, you know what I mean.
It's like no, no, no, no. All these feuds definitely make sense, uh,
to have these violent stipulations. So but yeah, think I
think I'm looking forward to live in Ria too. I
just want to see what happens. I don't know where
it's going, you know what I mean. It seems like
Ria should kill her, but that's not exciting so interesting.
(01:26:12):
I'm interested.
Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
Yeah, I think her getting the W at the last
Premium Live event makes me think lev is going to
fuck her up in some way and dominate and something
new is coming, something they don't expect, or Ria doesn't expect,
And I think that's going to be incredible if they
pull it off.
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
I don't I don't want to tit my hand for
next week, and there's an I don't want to sit
my hand for last week. But rumors are circulating, Yeah, yeah,
what a Tonga. Rumors are swirling that Raquel Rodriguez is
coming back. Do they put Raquel with Live as her
(01:26:54):
diesel and she's shown because she needs somebody? Do they
do that? And then it's Kel and Rhea from then on?
Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
Like Mercedes has in a w.
Speaker 1 (01:27:05):
They just share dominic he man aggressive.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
I mean, hey, from what I read in Mark Robinson's posts,
threesomes are in Now that's what what I understand that was.
Speaker 4 (01:27:17):
That post was a lot. There's a lot going on
in that post.
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
I'm not saying Live Morgan is good. I see, I'm
just saying the build up to this, I'm looking forward
to the everything around this match. I'm not saying Live
Morgan is good. I will never say that. I might
say delivered a good performance, but I'll never say it.
Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
Over all, the Summer Sign match was flawless.
Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
Flawless, Okay, all right, anyway, I think that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
That's everything we do and half we should get on
out of here.
Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
Anything more to say, gentlemen, anything more you want to
throw out there before we wrap up?
Speaker 1 (01:27:52):
We are?
Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
We good?
Speaker 2 (01:27:54):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
