Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, everybody. Welcome to a brand new episode of
Spill the Tea Kila here on the John Roka Channel. Now,
some of you commented that, hey, that doesn't make sense
because it still says John rokach or Outlaw Nation channel
at the beginning, And you guys are absolutely right. We're
working on changing that over. I apologize with that, but
(00:37):
I am for now. I am John Roka, I joined
as always by the King of Swag himself, Winston and Marshall.
For now?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Are you Are you going to be someone other than
John Rocca soon? You know?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I mean, I'm changing that video over completely again.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
You just said for now, I'm John Roka. I was like,
oh shit, I can't wait to me Wan Wan gonna
be a.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
I mean, if JD. Vance can change his name ten times,
I feel like I should be allowed to change my
name a few times.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Hey man, maybe you know he's about to change his
name to instead of Vice President Advance to President Vance. Apparently,
you know, apparently. I don't know about you, but all
weekend it was just Twitter everybody be like, look, bro,
did you see this? At this point, he hasn't been
around for approximate thirty six hours, twenty five minutes and
thirteen seconds, which clearly means this mother is dead, like.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
With their minds wonder with that conspiracy nonsense.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
It was crazy bro right.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, but let's try this again, and let's let's get
it right here on the channel, because you want to
get stuff right here on the channel. Let's try this again.
Here we go. That's how quickly it can happen.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I was fast, you know. It also played the pouring
sound in the background.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I had that ed that.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, well done. I see this whole time.
I thought you you had.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Like some crazy editing team, like they're gonna need a
full business day to get this corrected, said y'all.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I fixed that right away.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
But anyway, yes, so it is back. Thank you guys
for making me aware of it that it wasn't. It
was kept saying outleanation. I can't always get everything to everything,
but like everything will be scored away very soon. It
will be will be fully fully uh the way it is.
But yes, we are back for spill the tee kiel.
It's been a few days I've done anything on the channel.
It is the first show I've had like three or
four days, I think. So I'm a little rusty getting
back in front of the camera, but I'm glad to
(02:46):
be back with Winston A. Marshall. And we got so
much to talk about. Brother. You know, you were talking
about the stuff the madness going on around Trump Advanced
and everything, but we're also going to talk about a Trumpies.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
You didn't you know that was going on right now?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yeah, I saw that happening, and I didn't believe.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Again at Donnie's. That makes it.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
That's actually a lot better. We again at Donnie's. That's good.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
And then what was it? He came out today and
he was he was an eight year old man, but
he looked exactly like an eighty year old man, looks
like uh. And it was all this conspiracy theories for nothing.
Nothing happened. He's totally fine for his conditioning.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I'll put it to you this way. Yeah, the idea
that he had just dropped dead. I don't know about
all that, but I thought that was weird. I don't
think his health is okay. I actually do kind of
like you. The bruising like that, yeah, Angle, that's all
stuff that happened shortly before the queen was going, let
alone a lot of other stuff. I'm not wishing nothing, bro,
(03:44):
But don't piss on me and tell me his reigning. Bro,
like I he at bare minimum. He not good, No doubt,
he's a lot, but he's not good.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
But I felt that way about both of them, and
nobody want to know. Damn eighty year olds to be
running the fucking country.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Me not wrong, BRO, eighty year old should not be
running the country. You're not wrong on that, and we're
seeing that more and more. How bad that is, no
matter what side of the fence you're on on this,
because people want to feel like a country's being led
by someone with vim and vigor and has got his
head straight or her sad straight, whatever may be about
what's going on, and so we haven't seen that, and
(04:24):
so eventually, and it's not to be ageist, it's just
more a matter of like, I'd rather have a forty
five year old in charge of us than an eighty
year old.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I've actually said this a lot recently, and I kind
of I am be an agist. I'd like I think
if we're gonna say genuinely, if we're gonna say that
kids aren't allowed to do certain things up until a
point because their prefrontal cortex is there, or they don't
have the physical strength or anything else like that. The
same can be said about the client. Now it's harder
because you could. It's still a parallel. When you look
(04:55):
at kids, some mature a lot faster. That's why, all
of a sudden we see kids jumping grades, and you
have prodigies that are able to go to college are
like fifteen, and shit. The same is true about the
opposite end. The older you get, you slowed down. Your
cells aren't regenerating as quickly, your brain synapses aren't firing.
It's quite as fast all those injuries you've tallied up
over the years have started to kick in. And and
(05:16):
let alone your biases, the whole adage of can't teach
your old dog new tricks. There's a level at which
your wisdom is now no longer wisdom. It's actually, you know,
bias and things like that that'll prevent us from continuing
to grow.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
So nah ah, I'll go ahead and take that.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'll take it as fine. If you can prove the
trout here in the streets that you're doing great, great,
But if you're having full freezes in the middle press conferences,
I'm talking about you, Mitch mcconnald, then go sit your
old ass down. Yeah you know, Belichick, if you apparently
no more, go sit your old ass down, which your
twenty five year.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Old, If your twenty five year old can show up
on the sidelines to talk to you during a game?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Wait, she did it? You didn't see this? No, because
I didn't watch the game.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Bro bro hold on, we're jumping around all over the place.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
But look, I apologize for jumping. That's what we watch.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Please don't apologize. We're having fun. People come to hang
out on our show, not to watch a fully Welsh
constructed you know, that's not what they come here for.
They come here to have a little fun with us.
And I gotta find this video of her being on Yeah,
here we go. I found it. That's all quickly. Uh
X works, which I love X. Okay, So this is it.
(06:32):
This is her literally on the field. This is her.
Here we go. Let me make a big that's on
the field.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
There's Bill got to be kidding me.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
What are you doing on the sidelines talking Bill Belichick
during warm ups during a game.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
What are you Have you ever seen a wife or
girlfriend on any level? No walking around mid game? No,
the only reason they might run down there and do
some shit like that. And someone in the person I
would telling me, like, Bro, a baby was in a
car accident. We gotta go like it was like you
know what I'm saying, It would be like that is dude,
(07:06):
this is he was falling apart before this, in my opinion,
like after Brady left things.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Before Brady left, things were looking great, which part of
why Brady left, Yes, uh and went to Tampa.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
But this looks like some Yoko oh no.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Shit, Bro, like you you are you are throwing your
entire legacy out on a twenty four year old someone.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Someone said that, like someone said that she came down there.
I need twenty dollars, daddy. That's what it looked like,
which is unsaidling.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yes, Bro, all I know is yeah, I'm probably gonna
get slammed for this. But man, she she must she
must be the greatest long snapper of all time for
him to fall for this ship. I I just come on, man,
the internet.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Is undefeated with this stuff. How about this one? Tom
Brady's girlfriend if Bill Bouncey's girlfriend, if Tom Brady didn't exist,
that brutal, brutal man.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
That's just that's that's genuinely nuts to me. This one
I like, which one.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Was this one from Fast and Furious with Bill Belichick's
girlfriend coming up to him after he lost forty eight
to fourteen at TCU. Uhh, that's your problem.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
That's good, bro, that is absolutely good.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
And then and then this one one more one?
Speaker 4 (08:31):
What then feed me this one which which is the
one I sent you, which I think is hilarious, is
someone but yeah, Bill's girlfriend Jordan Hudson has reportedly.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Entered Look, man, I am I this a million times.
Love is love.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
I do think as long as everything is legal, that
age ain't nothing but a number. So look, if they
really vibe like that, but when I tell you, it
looks like a seventy something year old with a twenty
four year old and the kind of gold digger type
manipulation that would come with that, because again, a girlfriend
(09:11):
more close to his age eight on the field. No,
she's not taking questions, she's not doing like like this
is completely unorthodox. Yes, and this is where that now
feels like gold digger elderly abuse because of the weird
behavior that this is that is coming out of this.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I think there's so much that this is. This is
what we've evolved to, and this is the honest truth. Like, oh,
the OJ trial is what started all of this.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
And I don't mean I'm going I'm What I'm saying
is that the OJ trial, the amount of people that
watched that daily, like at work and their homes, it
became must see television every day.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Sure, And because that became a massive thing, that is
what inspired TV executives to look at the idea of
reality television. And reality television started to slowly creep in
one or two show Survivor or this or that, Yeah,
real World, like these little things that were like, oh
(10:20):
reality see if people like this or not? People really
gravitated to it, and then more of it started happening,
and then we got the we built to the Kardashians,
which exploded reality TV and showed you that you could
be vapid, somewhat brainless, and be super famous in an
influencer and Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, although I think Nicole
(10:40):
is actually pretty smart. I like Nicole, but then all
these people became influencers, and so we have now the
birth of influencer culture, which I think started all the
way back of the OJ trial to now, and that
we've ended up with Jordan Hudson walking on the field
to talk to her man while he's trying to coach
them during warm ups and then lose a game by
(11:01):
thirty four points, which is embarrassing.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
I agree and disagree in this regard because the influencer
movement that kind of happened and really came mainly from
social media, but started with with reality TV. Yeah, the
difference with OJ, other than the crime and then the
racism involved and everything else, he was still one of
(11:27):
the biggest celebrities of all time, which true. And so
that's the only thing that I think is a difference
here is because the Kardashians. What is it that the
Kardashians actually do, Like they made They've made very good
business decisions this entire time and have made a billion
dollar empire.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
But do they sing? Do they dance? Are you know?
Are they are? They? Are they philosophers? Like?
Speaker 3 (11:52):
No, there's nothing, there's nothing that they actually do as
a talent other than garner attention. And that's the only difference,
I would say, because at least with OJ the man
was a movie star. He was one of the greatest
running backs ever play in the NFL at the time,
and things like that, you know what I'm saying, So
like there was at least something tied to it, Like
we would only put celebrities on a pedicel because they
(12:15):
were actually doing something. They were acting, they were singing,
they were dancing, they were playing a sport, whatever. So
that's that's the only like minor bit. And then I
also feel like the big push into reality TV. Yes,
it started with the Survivors and the Real Worlds and
all that kind of stuff. Remember it was that first
writer strike back of what was that.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Eight Oh yes, yes, because they needed.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
They needed content.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
And once they realized, oh my god, not only can
we make this for cheap, yes, but people are eating
it up.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
And then it exploded.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
After that.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
It became every network had some five to ten reality
shows they were peddling, if not an entire network dedicated
to reality TV shows.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
And it showed you that people could get onto the
show who would never have been famous otherwise, never have
been famous otherwise, they can get on the show and
become famous for being vapid or stupid or something occasionally
cool and great and awesome, but like most of the time,
not that, not that really unique or special. And then
(13:19):
that's what birthed. Influencer culture and social media come along
at the time as well. So that's what we've got
and that's what she is. She's essentially taking a shortcut
to fame, which, by the way, I'm not blaming her.
Go get your bag. This is a people get your money. Yeah,
you see that old man. You're willing to do what
you need to do to please that old man to
(13:40):
get the access to all things. Again, knock yourself out.
Knock yourself out, because he's allowing it to happen. This
isn't a guy who is like tied down in the
basement and she's taken all of his money. No, he
is allowing this all to happen. So I don't blame her.
I'm just staying the overall nature of it all. It's
all birthed to for people watching the OJ Trill, not
(14:01):
OJ himself, people watching the trial and executive seeing the people.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
That certainly that certainly changed how we viewed certain things.
But I think I think that that less influenced influencer culture.
I think that more influenced the twenty four hour news
cycle because then it was everything changed that that to me,
was the big change that happened in the nineties, but
especially around OJ because soon after that, it's Clinton with
(14:29):
Monica Lewinsky and all of a sudden, it's that impeachment
process and I did not have sexual relationship with that
woman and all that, and then it was a scandal.
It would be it felt like a scandal quarter, then
a scandal a month, and then a scandal a week,
and then a scandal a day. And it only got
worse with social media, where now people could throw their
opinions in, so you had the blog sites. It was
(14:50):
kind of isolated that you had to be on your
computer and you had to the fact that you now
had a computer in your phone and you can say
whatever the.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Hell you wanted, whatever you wanted. Yeah, yeah, game over man.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah someone yah here saying what about Michael Jackson. Yeah,
the Michael Jackson trial. That was a big deal as well.
So yeah, nic into that.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Trial being big, Like I remember, I remember the conversations
about it in all of the charges, but I don't
remember the like the trials that I think that like
stand out as far as like time goes, was and
I'm all include the impeachment process of Clinton, the im
future process of Clinton.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
O J Rodney King.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Trial for Rodney was there. I mean like it was there.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
There was because that's that's how that when the verdict
came out with the you know, with the riots and
everything modern uh depp and heard and now that went.
I'm trying to think what else.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I would say. Most recently, in a smaller the Karen
Reid trial in Boston, her possibly killing the police officer
and backing her car into him.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
That was one.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Oh yeah, there's a five episode HBO Max documentary on
the trial that they did that up to earlier this year.
She is she she's the girlfriend. She was the girlfriend
of a Boston police officer. They claimed that she backed
her car into him and killed him on a snowy night.
She claims that he was killed by other members of
(16:15):
the force in their house and in here's one of
his friend's houses. And so it's a it's all this
drama around it. It's a massive try.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
I forgot I have heard about that, but I didn't.
I haven't been following it. So until you started to
explain that, I was like, oh, yeah, exactly right. Anthony's
another one.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Who else? Oh my god?
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Uh, Derek Chauvin for obviously the terrible reason for as
far as Floyd uh, the Brehanna Taylor Taylor trial, did
he did?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
He?
Speaker 2 (16:49):
The Diddy one felt as big as O J.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Right with you, It felt it felt like in a
in a way because you're talking about somebody again who
is the peak of success. Yeah, yeah, and then having
the absolute worst things come out about what they what
was going on, you know, in their private life, and yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Lord Jesus, yeah, Amanda Knox, right, that was I don't
know if that was Martin, oh, the Zimmerman absolutely, Tradeon, yes, yes, yes, right,
and then you have the Charlie Sheen stuff, the Britney
Spears stuff, yeah, all of that, uh for sure. So yeah,
so yeah, it's it's madness. But dude, what a terrible
debut for Bill Belichick. I know we're going to get
(17:33):
into the rock stuff, but like forty eight to fourteen
and that I watched about three quarters of that game.
That team was completely unprepared for what TCU did to them.
They were at home in North Carolina. He brought in
seventy new players. Fuck the Colorado Buffaloes didn't play this
badly in first in Deon Sanders' first game. So this
(17:56):
is madness to see how unprepared this team was. Maybe
the NEPO baby stuff with his son running the offense
or defense, whatever it was, is not gonna work here
because this was some terrible football that you were watching
and TCU you have to give it up that touchdown.
It's like playing the computer computer in Madden and you
score in the first drive and you think, oh, yeah,
I got this, and then you just get beat forty
(18:18):
seven to seven. Like it's essentially we've all been through
that on fucking Madden. And so that's what it felt
like watching this game last night. Is he is he
should not be coaching this team. He should retire and
go away.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
He it looks like he needs to retire.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
And if that's the case, if this is what it is,
then I'm actually I remember being upset that we didn't
get him potentially in Dallas. Thank god, Bro, we didn't
need that's that's that is.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
That is rough Madden. Jordan. I mean, what would you
do if his girlfriend was on the sidelines through games.
I mean, you got Jerry coming down for the box.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
I would probably wouldn't allow it. Jerry like, no, you
need to take your ass and the sweep with all
the other wags. But it's nice up here, all right,
it's nice. You can you can know you were not
on the I'm on the sideline. You're not on the
side fight Like God, I wish you would actually put
himself on the sideline and stay at the cowboys business.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Yeah. The worst. The worst was that Michael Jordan showed
up last night. Mia Ham showed up last night.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Randy mo North Carolina people showed up to show support,
and they were all gone by the third quarter.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
It was It was brutal. It was a brutal, brutal debut.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
That's rough.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
And people have pictures and videos of her in the
box with Randy Moss and already the chatter is starting.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
So you know, leave Randy alone.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Randy, Randy fighting cancer. Bro, people that are doing the
chit chat, you leave Randy alone.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Goddamn.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
If anyone's gonna take a chance on something, because there
they might be dying soon, it would be Randy.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
So focus on focus on the fact that Carucci out
here with prompt Tom, I'm worried about that, all right,
focus on prompt time.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Don't know you leave Randy alone?
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Prime Time brought to you by Dependens. How about that?
I couldn't believe that he got it sponsored by fucking Primetime.
Love you man, Love you man. So we'll see what happens.
But like, right now, Tom Brady looks like he won
that battle, dude, between him and Belichick, having won a
super Bowl without him and then parlay that into a
(20:31):
multi million dollar broadcasting career. Is he still saying dumb
shit making mistakes? Do they have to do a whole
campaign pushing Tom Brady's knowledge of NFL football to get
people to stop giving him shit for how much he
doesn't know? Yes, but I think he still won because
he's not out here like an old man with a
twenty four year old on the sideline.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Well, I'm just what's what's making me worried?
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (20:54):
About the Belichick situation. Not that I love or respect
Belichi anything special, because I don't funk with the Patriots
as a whole, right, and there's been enough cheating scandals
to just be like, yeah, but he's starting to go
down the little Wayne path right now, which makes me sad.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
The whole the whole argument with Wayne is Wayne at
the peak of his powers was the goat. Yeah, and
then the last couple of products, but especially the one
that just released, the Carter six, is doing so much
tarnished to the legacy. It's like, just take you for
enjoy your millions, enjoy the Like. I know it's hard
(21:35):
to let go, but there's a point at which, like
I would rather Wayne just put out like a dope
feature here and there and maybe listen to hundred and
three stacks.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
It was.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
They were like, why aren't you rapping him? Were He's
like the funk, I'm all rap about it.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
It fittes some myody.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
I ain't got that hung ain't there, bro I'm looking
at my life asure as policy.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Okay, I want to play the flute and relax, like.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Lil Wayne is old Wayne now, old way and ain't
got time to be doing all of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
You know.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Eminem said the same thing. Eminem when they asked him,
like why aren't you rapping more? And He's like, I
gotta mansion. I got all these millions. What the hell
am I gonna be angry about right, and so it
can affect have been for a milgin like like just
just what are you?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
It's funny. It's not to say that that rich successful
comedians can't still be funny. Oh, there is definitely a
moment where if they don't make an adjustment, they go
from being hilarious to being very unrelatable and therefore unfunny.
Like I remember Kevin Hart's first special right around the pandemic,
where he like had people in his basement. He's in
(22:41):
his pajamas and he was just essentially just talking about
being rich.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
And I was like, I don't care, like I don't.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Nobody likes cribs now, you don't want cribs now? Anyway,
let's let's that's Aboulichick. Let's move on to the other store.
I didn't want to start. I wasn't planning star on
the show this way, but it worked out because I
want to talk about something besides the big thing. And
let's get to the big thing out and speaking of
rich people, let's talk about this gentleman here that is
(23:09):
the Rock. The Rock himself has a movie. Now, don't
adjust your screens. That is actually the Rock, or as
people are calling him now the pebble. He is so
thin now from from working out or what people are saying,
like you slimmed down for the movies, Like the movie
was shot a year ago. What are you talking about? Yeah?
(23:29):
Possibly the Smashing Machine were debuted in Venice. He was
there with Emily Blunt, who Yeah, as you can tell
from that picture, sadly had some work done on her face.
I don't know why she's so beautiful. Why mess with it?
But everyone's got their own journey. But everyone is commenting
on how slim he's gotten compared to how big. I mean,
look how big he was, and then look how slimmy
(23:51):
is now. I mean for the Rock obviously still a
big man. But then, of course, when the film finished screening,
all reports come out of Venice was there was a
fifteen minute ovation, and the Rock himself was getting emotional
about the reaction to the movie. Let's take a look
at it. Well, let me actually, let me take it down.
Let me take down the picture and let's take a
(24:13):
look at it. Right now, this is the Rock reacting
to the reception.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Here.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Let's take well, there he is there, he is wiping
a tear away as Emily is proudly looking on John Krazinsky,
come get your girl, man, because I don't know, man,
the Rock is a good looking dude. But yeah, he
is emotional. He's saying thank you everybody. But I gotta
say Winston. I mean, this is the same Rock who
tried to strong arm his way into DC this DC.
(24:40):
This is the same Rock who inserted himself into WWE
storylines because he's on the board of TKO. This is
the same Rock who was pissing in water bottles and
having the pas throw them out. And this is the
same Rock who unashamedly said this week that he had
been pigeonholed into Blockbus movies, essentially implying that it was
(25:03):
done against his will. Uh So this is crazy to
me that he is like acting like an actor who
just got his movie made for the first time, Like,
what is this all about, Wiston? What do you think?
Speaker 2 (25:17):
I it's funny.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I think at the core of that sentiment, there's like
some truth there in the fact that consider how he
came out of wrestling.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
So the roles you got put in right away, yeah,
right away.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
But I think what you have to look is look
at how others after him, and maybe that's when he
finally opened his eyes himself made a transition quicker so sure,
like was you know the first major thing we saw
Batista get into his dracks and he did a fantastic.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Job at him some other some other roles in that vein.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
But how quickly he was like, no, i'ma I'm gonna
go do like a you know, the glass onion and
I'm gonna do you know, God, what was the one
where they were the cultests and they knock at the door,
knock at the cabin.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Or whatever it was, Yeah, knock at the cabin.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
He decided to transition into more serious stuff. Sina decided
to really go for like legit comedy. Yes, action comedies,
but a lot more just straight comedies like the dude
played a damn Mermaid and Barbie like you know what
I'm saying, Like they moved quickly, so I wouldn't be
surprised knowing obviously, I don't know how the other two
(26:32):
grew up, but I also know just with the rocks
drive and talking about how like money was hard to
come by and try to be the best at everything.
I think the minute they found a niche of bro,
you're killing it at the box office over here. He
was like, I bet, let's make as much money as
we possibly can. And I think once you got to
the end of it, he looked back and he goes, damn,
(26:53):
was I just that guy? So I can actually believe
where maybe it was half ego, half the team supporting
do we found your niche go for it, and he
just didn't ever let up until you had to look
back on it and go, oh shit. The fact that
people I've been in Hollywood longer, but people are already
(27:13):
saying that batistain't seen and got me acting wise, that
that probably triggered something. And this idea of trying to
transition let alone. You just mentioned the number of things
he tried to do recently that just failed, so like
trying to strong arm his way into DC and be
that and how that didn't work, and how him kind
of pseudo dabbling into politics like people are doing and
(27:36):
so he like kind of backed off that.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
I think.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Is there a level of the rock who loves to
kind of say so yeah, I think so, But I
this seems potentially like a real because I'll be honest,
losing that weight, which being.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
That jacked yeah for that long is actually not good
for you.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
It's not healthy.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
It is not healthy feet.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
It will eventually tear you down, which is even why Batista.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Was like, I'm not gonna be this jacked into my sixties.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
I'm done, because Batista had a similar transition. It's just
we because the rock is the rock, we just associated
more with him. I worry sometimes seeing John Cena, like
I the the the the intro for Peacemaker season two,
But you haven't been a regular ass T shirt. I'm like, Bro,
those muscles.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Look too what do you come on? Man? Bring it back?
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Bro, just a little bit, just just a little bit,
bring that shit back.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
But I but I think that that's that's the rock
is what in the sixties now?
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Uh? Yes, I think he's close to his sixties. I
don't know if he's in his sixties. Let me see
real quick, how old Duing Johnson is doing Johnson's age
hold on, it's sometimes the defaults to three.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
He's not even that. He's face three. So I've just
been watching him for so long, I just assume sixties.
But I'm not.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
That's not that's not a dig. He doesn't look sixty
years old because he lost it a sixty. So that's like,
in my mind they're like the same age because they
were the same era and all that kind of stuff, right,
not a dig at him, but all that being said, again,
you do not want to hold that much weight.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah, what he's saying don't work out.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
But you just have to be careful because at a
certain age, I would not be surprised if the doctors
have said something. I know nothing about him and seeing
in all them if they are, you know, using steroids
or anything like that. But that's such a such a
big bulk. If you were in some form of fashion
and doing it in a way that was that will
also wear on you one way or the other.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
But I like his new look. I think he looks good.
If I could look like that, Oh what I need
to do? Who I need to fight to look like
the rock looks like right now?
Speaker 1 (29:50):
You know, he had an app and he was in
the gym at four am, and you got to have
a gym that travels with listen, and this is the
thing that like, let me read his quotes because I
hear what you're saying, and I know Whinston's still young
and he's not as cynical as I am best in people,
which I appreciate. I remember being Winston's age. I'm much
more cynical now because I've seen stuff but him saying
(30:12):
things like he had no control, like a lot of
here's a quote, A lot of times. It's harder for us,
for at least for me sometimes to know what you're
capable of. When you've been pigeonholed into something. No one
pigeonholed you into anything. You willingly went towards the fucking
blockbuster light.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
He said.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
You know, when you're in Hollywood, as we all know,
it had become about box office, and it can be
very resounding, and it can push you into a category,
into a corner. This is your lane. This is what
you do, and this is what people want you to be,
and this is what Hollywood wants you to be. And
I understood that, and I made those movies and I
like them and they were fun. Some are really good
and did well and some not so good. I just
had this burning desire in this voice that was saying,
tell again, what well again? What if? What if there's more?
(30:53):
And what if? I can now this is utter, utter nonsense.
I just want to make it really clear in my opinion,
this is utter nonsense. Again, I love the Rock. No
one loves the Rock more than me. At the Rokus says,
The Rock says, that's an absolute homage to him. But
I also call people out who I love because you
got to tell the truth. And to me, this idea
(31:15):
that he's pushing this narrative, that he was pigeonholed and
that he he went this direction because it's what people wanted.
There is no more headstrong or stubborn or driven person
than Dwayne Johnson. And I've I've interviewed him a couple
of times. I've talked with his team. They're intelligent people
there on his team. They go where they think people
want them to go and make the money. I think
(31:38):
The Rock had full control of everything he was doing.
And once the Blockbusters started drying up, once he had
the WWE issue going on, once all this stuff started
popping off about him and his ego and these articles
were being written, and all this money was being wasted
on his films because he was late to set all
the time. He wanted to change the narrative, and now
he's changing the narrative. I've lost all this weight, so
(32:01):
I'm relatable I'm just like you. I'm a human being.
I'm not super human, and I just want to have
my I just want to pursue my dream. And remember,
he's a wrestler, he's an actor since the WWE days.
This is a new storyline and he's playing the role
and I just think, to.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Me, I hear you.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I just I will say, I don't really think of
a time where he didn't.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Quite escape the persona, so like there was a few.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
Movies that manufactured the persona.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
But I understand that. But that's that's where I'm saying.
There's a point at which you, unfortunately let me ask you,
have you old the Lady Outlaw ever decided to be like,
hey baby, I'm gonna put this black photo on and
put you in some handcuffs.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
I don't do that, Okay, Well, I just look, I'm
not judging anything I do.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
So that's fine point.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
I don't know if there's ever me in a moment
was because you haven't had that. Sometimes there's a really
scary moment where you're like, well this is fun, but
I have no idea where the keys are to these handcuffs.
Now I'm saying that I think what ended up happening
for The Rock because think about all the different ways.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
And I know you said that you specifically.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Are I am also a huge fan, but I will
give you credit that you probably are a bigger fan
than I am.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Yes, you don't even know. I've just had him in
my life since the nineties.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Which so have I and I've been I've been a
huge fan of him in Hollywood. I think Hollywood does
make a decision of who you get to be. I
think that Hollywood genuinely takes a look at your work
or your your look or whatever, and then they make
a decision of the direction that you go. Very few
people get the ability once they get into Hollywood to
(33:47):
make pivots, and if you do, you are so established
at a point that you can force it.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
I guess is what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
You have to be good enough to make the pivots,
don't I can't disagree, and I don't disagree. Yeah, and
I don't think that.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
I think I.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Always defended The Rock as an actor. I never defended
him as a great actor. If you go see Snitch,
I think it was the one with him and John
Burnhal where he's defending his son who's been railroaded into jail.
There's some good acting moments from the Rock in that
and be cool. He was good. There was something he
did as well. I can't remember the stories from the
south Land whatever it was, Southland Tails, alfone tails in
(34:25):
south Lane?
Speaker 2 (34:26):
What did they do box office wise? Right?
Speaker 3 (34:28):
I think you got to remember this is the same
guy that initially wanted to play football, right, who was
a washout kind of growing up and then wanted to
play football, and his NFL dreams got completely dashed against
the Rocks. It just did not no pun intended did
not work out. What didn't end right, So then he
starts to transition into trying to wrestle, and the first
Angley goes out of being like a legacy to his dad,
(34:51):
my father and all that that. That doesn't work either.
It fully just crashes and burns until finally the Rock
being a villain and being the wise cracking like I
got the quips, I'm gonna play the dozens with jo Ass.
All of a sudden, As a part of the Attitude era,
people are like, yo, the Rocky Rock, and now all
(35:12):
of a sudden, it's like, oh shit, I found something.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
So I think the same thing happened.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
He got to Hollywood, he tried to do a couple
of those roles you mentioned be Cool South, but they
they did not hit. But you know what did was
people seeing him do you know, like what the other
guys people see smart the jock dude to to you know,
uh uh say Michael Scott, Steve Carell's like that was
(35:38):
the stuff that all of a sudden're like okay.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
And then going forward, everything that he did.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Became the rock in this, the rock in that because
people were paying money to see it and he was successful.
I think it is a drug for any of us
when you're successful, to continue to do that thing that
brought you success. And it can be scary to come
out of it. Now when you throw in the fact
that the Rocks has one of the biggest egos we've
ever seen, that actually makes it even worse. You know
(36:03):
what I'm saying, like to take a step back and go,
I kind of really wanted this thing, so let me
try again, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
But I think it's I think it's I think it
would have been more to me, more authentic. Sure if
he was still riding high and said, you know what,
this has been great, and I've really enjoyed playing these
kinds of roles. Fair I want to pivot to do
this and i want to try myself at this, and
I'm going to take a few years. I'm really focused
try to get these roles and what have you. And
(36:34):
I think that would have been much more authentic to
do it after to say you're being pigeonholed when you
try to take over an entire DC universe and force
that to happen, that is not being pigeonholed. That's you
with your ego wanting control of it all. But when
it all comes crashing down. Now all of a sudden,
(36:54):
you're this long suffering artist who really wants to show
what he can do. I gets to me, it's there's
a hollowns to that that doesn't bring me.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
I hear what you're saying, and I think where I
would say there's a marriage of these arguments.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
I think it's the.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Idea of he probably was pigeonholed pretty quickly and then
once he saw the success that could come with it,
which is why one of the reasons I'm very excited
about him that's about to come out, This idea of like,
all right, what are you doing? What are you going
to do for success? What are you going to do
for whatever? Like what are you willing to sacrifice? If
there was something in him that wanted to be a
little bit more dramatic and things like that, is like
(37:32):
fuck it, I'm making money over here and it's working
and people like it. And so I think I agree
with you that there is a level that can come
out of it. Of like, yo, you're kind of on
a cold streak, like Red One didn't do well, right,
you know, you for a couple of seasons, but wasn't
that big, like you know, Black Adam didn't do well,
Red Notice didn't do well, Jungle Cruise didn't do well.
(37:53):
Like I get that it looks a particular type of
way for sure, but that doesn't mean he did feel.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
That way before.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Sometimes it's unfortunately the optics of something. So he may
have felt that early on but said fuck it, I'm
gonna get on this right anyway, And now it looks
disingenuous because of what's so I think there is a
marriage of the two of like, well, fuck it, if
I can't make the money anymore, then maybe I'll finally
go after the thing I.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Wanted to do.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
I think two things can be true at the same time,
and the notion that he tried to do some of
those roles earlier is what makes me think this is
both at the same time.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, but I think it would have been.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
I think if you had just been honest, I think
I would have had no problem with it. Look, I
went the blockbuster route because it's what I and I
took ownership of it, and I wanted to do that
because that's where the money was, and I one hundred
percent dove in with both feet. Clearly, as I've seen
from my recent box office results, the public no longer
wants to see me in these kinds of films and
they're not doing well, and I, as an actor, have
(38:53):
to pivot to something, and now I can. I have
the money, and I'm blessed to have the money to
make this transition and see if I can test myself
as an actor. There's a better way to say that
than to play the victim angle that you were somehow
pushed or pigeonholed or like the Rock has controlled his
career since he came back in Fast and Furious five.
(39:14):
When he came back in Fast Furious five, The Rock
was in with seven Bucks Productions with his ex wife
Danny Garcia, who is the man she is? No, you
want to talk about you want to talk about a
powerful woman in Hollywood, powerful business. Danny ain't no fucking joke.
And so he had very powerful people who were strong
footing around these sets and throwing his weight around her
(39:37):
on these sets. So this isn't some guy who just
brought along unwittingly, and this is an elder.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Thing and he has a big of enough personality that
like if his team ain't doing what he wants, But
that doesn't mean like Darth Vader is like that, dude,
you know what? That's that's maybe that's a bad example.
Maybe maybe a better one would be, like would be
the Emperor. If like the Emperor in this case, his
(40:05):
agent is like Vader and he's like, you know, Master,
we got to do whatever whatever, And you're like, is okay, yes,
I mean I really nap dance, But why didn't we
just do ahead and do over to sixty six?
Speaker 2 (40:14):
That's that's right?
Speaker 6 (40:17):
What?
Speaker 2 (40:17):
What? What?
Speaker 3 (40:18):
But like, look, it sounds like he's fully gotten away
from this bro like he's got Fast is about to
come Alast part two.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
He's about to do Moana.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
He's got San Andreas to his in development, So what's
that He's not fully out of it, But I think
it just means that we're going to see him kind
of mixed stuff up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
And I'm happy for that stuff.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Again. I I love The Rock. I I hold the
fact that it's got a fifteen minutes stand inovation, which
you know, santnovations in Venice. You know that's old happened.
Like the reviews have been positive. Variety Time, a number
of really indie wire. They all praise his performance, and
I'm excited for that from that angle because I like
The Rock and I've defended his acting for years. I've
(40:59):
met the man twice, interview him twice. He is one
of the genuinely nicest people. He was willing to do
a promo for the Shmowdown with me, he was willing
to walk. He was very kind. The thing that I
have a problem with lately with The Rock, though, is
that ego of his and the comments and the stuff
you hear about behind the scenes at WWE. Since he
came back and tried to throw his weight around and
tried to push certain storylines to happen for himself. I mean,
(41:22):
he's the one that convinced seen it to go heal
and then abandoned it when they wouldn't do all the
things he wanted them to do that would have elevated
the Rock again into this prime time position because they
want to focus on the guys who are here full time.
He got upset, which is why we got that wet
part of a main event at WrestleMania with Travis Scott
coming out. It was terrible because the Rock didn't want
(41:44):
to part. So take responsibility for your ego if you
want me to buy your genuine moments as well. And
I think that's the problem.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
Now.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Someone said in the chat, like asking a Hollywood actor
to be honest. But I get it, But I'm still
going to want to I still gonna want to call
these people out for not being genuine because they should
be genuine. I think that's gonna go far with the public.
Then some fabricated narrative that's done to conveniently promote what
phase of your life.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
You're in, No, I get it. I think I think
it ties back to our first conversation.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Though.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
You got to remember what world do we live in now,
Like there is a certain level where movie starts, we
didn't know as much about their life as we do.
The Rock similar to this, very quickly understood good way
to make money and to build that kind of base
out and all that is to let social media be
a thing. He is constantly out here doing vades and
plugs and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
It can generate money.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
So that's that's part of what I mean by he's
never necessarily turned the personality off. No, you know what
I'm saying, And I think that might be part of
what he's alluding to and why for a while he
stopped going by the Rock he started going by Dwayne Johnson.
I wanted to finally separate the two and be like,
(43:02):
I am more than just the care like because otherwise
you're telling me he's been k Fave this entire time.
His entire Hollywood career is the Hollywood Rock, which he
came back as after.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
The first time he left. You're telling me that's what's
been going on this entire time.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
The Final Boss, you know what I'm saying, Like.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
And maybe that's what the Final Boss was in a
certain way. Maybe the Final Boss was like me putting
this to bet and moving on to the next stage
of my career.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
If that's what he wants to.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Do in the fourth quarter, if instead of like you know,
going and dunking all the time, he just wants to
play defense or whatever, like, fine, let him do it.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
Yeah, maybe I know. I hear you again. He's got
a right to do whatever he wants to do. It's
his life and his career, and if he does good
work in these films, then I think he's gonna get
the respect and love that he deserves. I don't know
about an Oscar nomination. I think you're gonna have to really.
Have you seen this movie already?
Speaker 4 (43:53):
No?
Speaker 1 (43:53):
I have not know. No. I think there's a lot
of movies coming out in the fall that are going
to challenge that notion that he could get nominated. But
I think he's going to be treated like Jim Carrey was,
like other actors were who like could have been nominated
in the year they were eligible. To me, I mean,
Jim Carrey should have been nominated arguably one for Eternal
(44:15):
Sunshine The Spotless Mind, but he was.
Speaker 2 (44:17):
Also nommon Show.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
He wasn't even nominated for a Tonal Sunshine, right and so,
and which I think is better than Truth, way better
than Truman Show.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
No no, no, I know, but I think both of those performances.
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
I was just talking about Leo and how I I
really hate that he won for the Revenant.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
He wasn't bad in it, but.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Like right there are you got to hear it to
the other roles that he's done or been nominated for,
grossly deserved it more than that. And that felt like
an academy being like, look, bro, we don't nominate you a.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Bunch of times, so we kind of owe you an
oscar Who you go?
Speaker 3 (44:47):
Yeah, because like to me, I love Misa, Matthew McConaughey.
Ain't no world where him and Dallas Buyer's Club was
a better job than Leo as as Belford one hundred percent, dude.
Just the scene is using his chin on the quayludes,
trying to get to the fucking car so you can
get home in top.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
Just that scene alone is enough.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
You You and I are actors. Of course I'm retired,
you're still were doing it. But like I I'm so
glad to bring that scene because I said that after
I watched the movie. I leaned over to my friend
think with Shannon. I said, that is the scene that
you should have to be able to do believably to
graduate from acting school, because that is such a and
I mean you didn't.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Say for the Oscar. You were like, just to graduate
from acting school you have to.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
Do it is good to get a degree to match
this scene because that is an incredible physical performance and
vocal performance from DiCaprio. That is that is he's never
topped in anything else he's ever done. And I agree
with you, he deserves for Wall Street more.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
I also want to laugh at someone saying, let's not
feel bad for Leo. He won the next year. It
was two years later, and again I stand by what
I said. That performance did not hold a candle in
my opinion to Jordan Bell. And I'm not out here
giving oscars just because, like, well, I feel bad, like
because that to me is why Jamie Lee Curtis won
over Angela Bassett. Oh yeah, Queen Ramona, that just that
(46:11):
speech of have I not given enough? Just that, let
alone the rest of the movie far out ways anything
that Jamie Ie Curis did.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
And if it wasn't gonna be Angela Bassett.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
It then would have been Stephanie Stephanie Hugh for the
for the same movie, and everything everywhere all at once
that Jamie wanted for that felt like a we love
Jamie and she's been around for forever, so here you go.
And then I tried to make it up to Angela
bast by giving her one of the Governor's Award like
Lifetime Achievement ones, and I was like.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
A lot of them are like, man, we fucked up.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
So should have rejected, you should have rejected. So yeah,
but yeah, I mean, this is a weird year twenty fifteen, right,
because that's Cranston for Trumbo, Matt Damon for the Martian
Fastmener for Steve Jobs, any Redmond for the Danny the
Danish Girl. I kind of feel like, what year was this? Sorry?
Twenty fifteen is when Decay Aaprio won for the Revenant. Okay,
(47:03):
maybe you give it to Fastbender for Steve Jobs over
DiCaprio for Revenant, but like you said.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
He was dude. Wait wait oh twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Right, right, well the film's come out in twenty fifteen, yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
Okay, okay, because I because I was just like, wait,
I'm because I was like, I don't see any of
those people. I see Eddie Redmad for The Furious and Everything,
Steve Carrell for Fox Catcher.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
I was like, what, right, right?
Speaker 1 (47:31):
Right? Right? I don't think he was even nominated for
Wolfe of wall Street. Oh yeah, no, I don't think
he was even nominated for Wolfe of Walls.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
Uh. He definitely was because he lost to McConaughey.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
I remember, I remember saying that he was gonna win
for wolfall Street.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
I know that's twenty thirteen, so he won two.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
Years prior, right it was, it was like two to
four years later, some something crazy like that. But Cranston, Trumbo,
Damon Marshan, Fast Bender, Jobs, Eddie Redmond, Danish Girl. I mean,
of those performances, sure, I'll give it to DiCaprio. I
mean maybe Fastbender because I thought he did a really
good job as Steve Jobs.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
But fine.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
But but even with that being said, like I wish
I could remember all of the roles that were out
that year, because I don't even remember every movie that
was out where I feel like I remember being like,
you know, so and so got snubbed from even being nominated.
Speaker 2 (48:25):
You know what I'm saying. I'm trying to remember all the.
Speaker 1 (48:27):
Movies creed that year.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
I thought, I was that was a big one.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
I was glad Sylvester Stallone got nominated, but like I
was definitely thinking about what mike O b Jordan did
and I thought he definitely had that that should have
been something potentially nominated.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Of those guys Compton, none of them straight out of Compton,
that was the big one. Especially Oh boy, that played
easy like all of it, but especially once you got
to the Aides part and you're starting to die and
all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
That that was what it was.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
I was shocked that he wasn't nominated, to be honest
with you, and thought that he actually had won that
in my opinion, because again, not that Leo was bad
in the Revenant, he was, he was fine, He was good.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
I just I have.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
Seen him knocking like Gilbert Grape uh the Departed, Dude Belford.
There were so many other rules that I was like, nah,
bro hell, you should have gave it to him for Django.
Oh my god, Like I'm I'm I'm happy from a boy, right,
but my boy should have won for Jenko.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
I mean, no, lie, there he should be a multiple
time Oscar win. I agree with you one thousand percent. Yeah,
definitely Jordan Belford.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
For sure because the year that what what what was
the year that Jengo that Jengo was in the Oscars?
Speaker 1 (49:47):
That was, Oh, I don't know what year was thirteen Oscars?
Speaker 2 (49:53):
Maybe I know?
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Uh yeah, yes, the twenty thirteen Oscars. So Daniel day
Lewis one won for Lincoln. Didn't he just win for
like he yes, he was very good, But didn't he
just win for uh?
Speaker 2 (50:09):
Oh, he wouldn't have even been up against him. I
take that back.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
He wouldn't been up against him because this was that
this would have been a supporting actor. So yeah, it
was Christoph Waltz. I thought Christoph walt was fantastic, but
I honestly thought because he didn't even get nominated bro
that Yes, I honestly thought that he stole the show.
Was was him as as candy and and the speech,
(50:32):
the smashing of the damn skull and shit and like
he's actually bleeding they finished the damn thing, Like I mean,
it's horrible to rubbing your actual blood on Kerry Washington.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
That's a different conversation, but.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
All of the ship that he did in that, Oh
my god, that shit blew my mind that he wasn't nominated. Now,
if anybody had to win, yes, I'm gonna give it
to Christoph Walter.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
He gonna win anyway. Probably, Yes, well, oh, I see
what you're saying for the ones who were listening, But
I agree with you. If DiCaprio had been in there,
DiCaprio should definitely be in there over Alan Arkin and Argo.
Somebody someday we're all gonna wake up and realize that
Argo was a fine film, but it was not one
of these fucking things that should have gotten so many
fucking Oscars. And I think DiCaprio is better than Tommy
(51:13):
Lee Jones and Lincoln for God's sakes, there's quite a
lot of other supporting actors. I think I would have
considered for that. But yeah, DiCaprio. Remember Tommy Lee Jones
and Lincoln. I just remember him being like always signing
the bill. Yeah, he's the one with what's her face from?
Speaker 2 (51:31):
I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
He was the one person in Congress being like, I
guess we go free these slaves and stop this war.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
He was just like are we gonna sign it? Okay?
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Like I okay, Like you already gave him an Oscar?
Why he in his list?
Speaker 1 (51:43):
Like zero Dark thirty is that year? And you tell
me that's a way better film than Argo, And you're
not gonna tell me that there aren't good actors in
that film that could have been put in above Alan
Arkin and argu I swear to god some of the
the ark and stuff, like, I think arg was a
really good actor, but he was not of the fact
that even one one is just to me sacrilege that
(52:04):
he won it over Was it over Eddie? Who was
great in dream Girls? Eddie should have won it for
dream Girls? It's not that that, uh that Alan Arkin
won his Oscar for little Miss Sunshine over Eddie and
dream Girls.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
Come on, yeah, okay, we got worked up, bro? What
what was the first part of this conversation? Is still
the Samuel Jackson and Jangle one change. I forgot Samuel L.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Jackons.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
What's wrong with me? You're damn right? I also I
completely forgot Samuel L. Jackson also in Django. I like,
to be honest, the entire category should have been Janngle actors.
It should have been Christoph Waltz, Samuel L.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
Jackson and the THEO, the three of them, Don Johnson
and Walton Goggins, and I've been fine.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
That's that's it. That's perfect.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
That's your fine right there.
Speaker 2 (52:51):
Walton Goggins was going, which is Don Johnson? The one
that was like yeah, yeah, well I was ann to say.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
The one that I would have liked to see was
the slave owner in the white suit. That was like, yes,
what was it? Not on my property? He's not like
that dude. That dude shouldn't been Yeah, exactly, Yeah, I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
About the thing is out here on my property, walking
around on it. Not on my property. He's not like
the old.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
Boy should have been in there too, Bro, don't treat
him like you would irregular. He is. He is a
company for this, Oh man, it was he was. Don
Johnson was great in that movie. Yeah, all five of them.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Fuck.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
Throw Jonah Hill in there just for the whole.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
For the with my wife trying to do a nasty
for you. So next time you do your own goddamn suits.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
I think we can all agree that it was a
good effort.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
It was a good.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Next time, which I will tell you what one of
the reasons that I really loved the ending of Sinners.
It very much reminded me, uh, that kind of last moment.
It reminded me a lot of Django essentially just going
on a tirade, whether it be shooting the wagon to
blow up all the clansmen or at the end where
(54:08):
he's just just everybody on the plantation getting shot.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
Like it's just smoke. Smoke. Was just just channeling Jengo
in that moment. People don't.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
People do not give Jango the credit deserves in Tarantino's resume.
They just don't. It's mind blowing to me.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
I honestly think, like, hold on, because I'm trying to
remember all of his filmography off the top of my head.
I think it might be. I still think pulp Fiction
is probably his best. Yeah, but I think it probably
goes pulp fiction. Kill Bill one, Django and Glorious Bastards
(54:50):
Kill Bill two.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Right.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
I love Reservoir Dogs, but it has some stuff about
it's a little rough early, and that would probably that
probably be more or less how it ran stuff with it.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
I would watch kill Bill just for my own personal favorite.
Kill Bill's number one for me. Okay, fiction absolutely is
number two. I mean that is just a that's a
masterpiece that film. Yeah, and then and then uh uh
Django is in there, and I actually putting a Hateful
eight over in Glorious just because I'm a westerns guy
and I love what he did.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
Yeah, I'm not a big Western guy, which is why
I also have to give him credit for getting me
so into Django un Chain. But I have to admit
I sad to say that I have three of his
movies I haven't seen which I'm I'm starting reactions on
my on my channel, like watch Lines. I haven't seen
Death Death Proof, I haven't seen the Hate Blate, and
I didn't finish Once upon a Time in Hollywood. I
(55:42):
only got like the first forty five minutes because I
didn't go in theaters.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
I was watching it at home.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
So I just decided, fuck it, I'm just gonna watch
those with on my channel, so you know, yeah, we'll
do plugs later.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
But yeah, uh no, you don't include True Romance because
Tony Scott directed that one and messed with the script
of it. So no, And I.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
Love you some Jackie Brown. Somebody said, what about Jackie Brown.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
I was like, yeah, Jackie Brown, is fantastic, But yeah,
you know, I think the other ones that we kind
of mentioned are a little better.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
Argument.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
Jackie Brown, I think is arguably his greatest script ever,
but I think the other film better.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
I mean, shit, he got a nomination for it.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
Yeah, exactly, dude, we're already an hour to show. We're
way off of this. Get up real quick, Let's go
to Marvel Zombies. What's you thin good trailer? Were you
surprised by the goreiness of the trailer? Did you like
the energy of the trailer considering where Marvel is right now?
Speaker 2 (56:35):
One word blade?
Speaker 3 (56:37):
Yes, as that you got me and the fact that
I and that's what I thought at first. I was like,
it looks like Blade. It sounds like Blade. He kind
of looks like he's dressed like Moonnight, and it looks
like he's he is a Blade version of Moon Night
or Blade Night, which I am a thousand percent here for.
I think it's that I can't remember what they listed
(56:59):
it as because I was looking in the press notes.
It's either Blade Night or Moon Blade. I think it's
Blade Night. Let me double check. But but yeah, I am.
I really didn't care that this was coming out because
I thought it was an okay thing. Yeah, Blade Night,
I thought it was an okay episode of What If.
(57:19):
I think it's like an okay kind of like uh
storyline in the books. Yes, but they picked a perfect
song to do put to pair with that trailer, and
then on top of it you added Blade And obviously
this is not connected to the MCU directly, it's connected enough.
(57:40):
Are we actually finally getting Blade? Like that's that's the question.
It's like we're not getting the movie. It sounds like
at least not anytime soon, like that's been on this
put on ice pretty indefinitely. But does that mean he's
showing up in Doomsday and Secret Wars. That's where my
brain went to be hones Yah.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I liked it a lot, considering nobody
gave a shit about Isaamaconda that is coming gone with
literally no buzz or no none. It's pretty surprising. But
this looks fun. This looks great. I love that they're
pulling no punches and not trying to safe walk this one.
(58:17):
There's going to be blood, there's gonna be gore, there's
gonna be people getting cut up. There's gonna be heroes
playing zombies. This looks like a lot of fun and
that baby metal song they used was perfect for this trailer.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
Is that is that? Is that the name of the song?
That's the name of the genre genre? Yeah, I just
said I think I just said. Oh, it's just they're
going with the like the metal or the death metal.
I don't know the difference between them. So but yeah, no,
that was a great choice.
Speaker 1 (58:40):
Right it put it immediately, had the right energy to
get you into that frame of mind for it. So yeah,
I thought that was fantastic. Uh yeah, From Me to
You is the name of the song. It's pretty badass.
So yeah, I liked that.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
I was.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
I was a big fan of it. All right, Uh,
should we move on to the NFL stuff as we're
around into our last thirty minutes and listen, ladies and gentlemen,
we only have three super chats and two stream labs.
We got almost two hundred and fifty at joining us
right now. Sending your support, Sending you love. You've enjoyed
our first hour, entertaining you're talking about all this stuff.
I mean, the first hour is flown by sending your love,
(59:17):
Sending you your support here with stream Lab Superchats pinned
in the chat description on the video and it's above
Winston's head there please all right, yeah, baby Metal is
the band and the song features the artist Poppy. All right,
thank you MK Somberg for clarifying that. Cool. All right,
what do you want to talk about with the NFL? Winston?
Where do you want to start? What's your feeling on
(59:37):
all of this? Where are we at right now with
the NFL opening up here in two days, with your
Cowboys taking on the Eagles and the next night the
Chargers and the Chiefs are going at on a.
Speaker 2 (59:47):
Friday night away straight away?
Speaker 3 (59:50):
I mean, look, if the Eagles plan is to go
repeat they like photed it to three to happen, I
genuinely I don't expect them to win the Super Bowl,
but I do expect them to probably make the NFC
Championship game or have a surprise out like that almost
(01:00:10):
happened with the Rams, like the round right before. But there,
for a lot of people, the favorite to just go
win it all all over again, have too much personnel change,
so I expect us to just get obliterated. I would
love to see a quote unquote Kenny Clark stop a
Saquon Barkley Okay, sure, great, and then now you've got nobody.
(01:00:34):
The one thing that Michael was very good at doing
was getting all up in Jalen's face. Yes, now who
gonna do that? So yeah, I expect us to get
blown out in that game. Chiefs Chargers is actually very interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
I need to see what the new look Chiefs look like.
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
I'm giving them the edge here, okay, just because you
know it is what it is. But if the Chargers,
which were kind of silent killers and got better like
both the Ars and the Broncos, but the Broncos made
a little bit more noise because you had the rookie
quarterback in both nicks better than people thought he would be.
And then all of a sudden, where people thought Sean
Payton maybe he was washed, now we're like, yo, this
(01:01:12):
is a Sean Payton that brought a brought a chip
to New Orleans man like he about to bring it
to the Mile High City. I say all that to say,
now that I move on to the Broncos, I think
the Chargers have gotten exponentially better here, and I think
they're gonna give the Chiefs a run for their money,
which they did when they were not good. Just because
it's a divisional game. So I got the Chiefs winning it,
(01:01:33):
but I would not be surprised if the Chargers pulled
it off. Just speed looking through everything else, Dolphins should
easily beat the Colts.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Are you looking at the weekends games? Yeah? Let me
bring those up so we can Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Dolphin should easily beat the Colts. That should that should
not be an issue. No, no good quarterback kind of
situation going on. I expect the Steelers to beat the Jets.
I mean, we'll see what Aaron Rodgers actually wants to
pull off there. But overall, better team out of the Steelers.
As a toss up between the Panthers and the Jaguars,
that just looks like a floor hurricane.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
I guess not. I guess the Panthers are from Carolina.
What's wrong with me?
Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
But the idea that Bryce Young got better at the end.
Everybody thought he was washed, he got better at the
end of the year, and Trevor Lawrence got worse. So
I'm very curious to see. If I had to pick,
I'll take the Panthers. I got the Cardinals over the Saints.
I think the Saints are gonna win like two games
this year. Okay, I got the Commanders beating on the Giants,
(01:02:35):
especially at home. I got the Buccaneers beating Atlanta and Atlanta.
I got the Bengals whooping up on the Browns. I got.
I think the Pats take that one. Yeah, I got.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
I think this.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
I'm gonna take the Seahawks because I don't know what
the new look forty nine ers look like quite yet.
Taking the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
This one.
Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
It's tough because of the changing coordinators in Detroit, but
I'm gonna say Detroit takes it because we still have
an injured receiver room for Green Bay, and even though
Mike is there, he really does have a back issue,
so they're gonna have to give him a shot. So
he's gonna be a nuisance. But but I think that's
that's that. I think the Texans beat the Rams. I'm
(01:03:22):
gonna take. I'm gonna take Ravens over Bills. Wow, Josh Allen.
I think Josh Allen actually outplays Lamar Jackson. But I
think that the Ravens got even better on defense, and
I think that they will. They'll win that one out
Vikings over Bears, and then yeah, that's that is the
(01:03:45):
whole week man, So I'm curious where your thoughts are.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Yeah, I think I definitely think Philadelphia over Dallas, especially
because in Philly and the newly reunited Boys, to man,
I would be gonna be singing the national anthems. So
I can't waste that. You can't waste that.
Speaker 6 (01:03:59):
God, I hope they do. I hope they do waste it.
But they won't, but they will. Can you shut up
Kansas City and Los Angeles?
Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
I I think the Chargers do, But well it's in Brazil,
so I don't know what is in Brazil.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Yeah, so, oh dude, I take it back.
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
Chargers probably got this one between between Travis over here
in an engagement Bliss and you got to go to Brazil, Bro.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
The Chargers would actually take that one.
Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
I think the Chargers will because I mean, you've got
to show a signal of intent. And look, this isn't
the playoffs, so beating the Chiefs always take a little
bit of time to get back into rhythm. So I
wouldn't be surprised if the Chargers get this one because
they need it more. They need to establish themselves more.
Herbert as well, Tampa Bay and Atlanta. I actually I
have to go with Tampa Bay for right now. But
I kind of have a soft spot for Michael Pennix,
(01:04:53):
and I think he's going to be damn good for Atlanta.
I just think Tampa Bay is a stronger team right now.
Cincinnati definitely beats Cleveland, whoever the fuck the quarterback is
for that because Flato, but he's probably gonna get knocked
out Miami in Indianapolis. Yes, Miami wins hands down. Ken
Tua stay upright this season, we'll see, but yes, they
win that game. Vegas at the Raiders, I kind of
(01:05:14):
go with Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
Because I don't Vegas at the Raiders. You mean Vegas
at the Patriots, or Vegas and the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
I don't Raiders and the Patriots. I guess I'm trying
to say, I don't. I don't buy into Mike Vrabel
at all, and and Drake Mays in his second year.
You've got a veteran quarterback at Gino Smith, You've got uh.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
You've got Pete Carroll Carrold in Las Vegas.
Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Now you feel like that's this is I think they're
gonna I think they're gonna beat the Patriots Patris. It
is just a little bit farther to go. Arizona absolutely
will stop New Orleans because they're just so terrible quarterbacks.
Pittsburgh at the Jets. I mean, what a way to
start the season. Aaron Ruders back in New York. Whether
I think the Jets are gonna whoop up on these stealers.
(01:05:54):
I think they're coming for Rogers with especially because it's
a different coach, a different set of plays. I think
they want Rogers ass and if Rogers makes out of
this game, I'll be surprised.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
So do you think the Jets are taking it? Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
I think the Jets are taking it. Yeah. I think
Justin Fields leads a surprise because remember Justin played for Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
So I think Justin is gonna quarterbackswap. I didn't even know.
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
Yeah, So I think that's Justin gets it New York. Yea.
I think my Commanders win, But I don' think it's
gonna be easy as people think. There's I think the
Giants it might be dangerous this year.
Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
We'll see they're not gonna be anyone to scoff at
like I actually, which sucks because we did do certain upgrades,
but such a loss of Micah like that. I genuinely
think we're lasting the division. I think the Giants will actually.
Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Okay Carolina Jacksonville. Yeah, I think Carolina wins this. I
think Bryce Young came on last year and showed that
he figured the game out to a degree, and I
think they can take Jacksonville even with the new coach
and everything. I think Trevor, I think it's all gone here,
bro after a while and you just can't get it back.
And I don't think Trevor can get it back to
(01:07:00):
see a Denver. I think Denver wins that one. B Nicks,
the Bonnicks era, mark it down. Bonicks take this team
possibly to the AFC Championship Game. Just hear me. I
just think there's a feeling like what you say, this year, Yeah,
this year, just like last year with Jayden Damis and
the Commanders. I don't think they get to the super Bowl.
But I think there's every reason to believe Bonnicks, with
(01:07:21):
that defense and that coach, they have a chance to
and his home, they have a chance to get there.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
So what what do you think is their path to
the super Bowl? What what quarterback do they essentially need
to not see to make it?
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Is it? Do they need to avoid the Chiefs. Do
they need to avoid the bills? They need to avoid
the Ravens with the Bengals, they need to want bills,
the bills. It's the biggest one is to avoid the bills.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
You think twice they had Kansas City twice last year.
They could have beat them twice last year.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
I agree of Fluke fluke shit like crazy crazy penalty
calls and field goals to bail out. That's a division
rival so fair that that that always can be a
little bit dangerous as a trap if you're not paying attention.
But you think you think the bills over the the
Ravens and the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Actually I do, actually, well, yes I do, actually because
I just think that I think they're due. I think
they've made a lot of interesting changes, and I think
Josh has gotten even smarter as a quarterback. And now
he's got a lady love right by his side. You
know this, When you got the right woman by your side,
you can do wonders. And I just have all of
them that my boy is gonna pick apart these defenses
(01:08:24):
like what about?
Speaker 2 (01:08:25):
What what about?
Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
What?
Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
I praying not because I took him in one of
my more expensive leagues. Uh, but what about the you know,
they talk about the Madden curse. They also talk about
the Hard Knocks curse, about the potential Hard Knocks curse
that you you might see hit Josh Allen, but hasn't
the bill.
Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
The bills have been cursed the whole existence.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
That's a whole different conversation.
Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
Kelly got cancer like me, they've been They've been cursed
for a long time.
Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
It's a whole different conversation. Because I will tell you this.
I saw I was watching.
Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
I haven't watched any of the episodes.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Okay, I mean it's good. It's good.
Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
I'd be very likable, dude. I was gonna say the
thing that was very interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
I was watching.
Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Oh my God, First Things First, like a clip from
First Things First, and they were talking about what happens
if Josh Allen loses to Patrick in the playoffs again,
Oh that would be the fifth time. They're like, if
that happens, Josh Allen's legacy, in a lot of ways,
goes in the toilet.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
They said. They said, it's not it's not dead.
Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
But they said, if he were say to get like,
it's not necessarily super Bowl or bust. If like, let's
say he beats Patrick in the Divisional and then loses
to Jackson in the in the AFC Championship. That's actually
okay because you finally got over the only actual hump
that you've had. And both of them have been vying
to be like one of us eventually has to get
to the Super Bowl. One of us has to be
(01:09:50):
the one to unsee Patrick if he loses to Patrick
a fifth.
Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Time in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
They were like, then we have to have this conversation
of like, as long as your daddy is still playing,
you're just gonna be on the bench Sun like.
Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
You just I mean, this is what happened with Peyton
and Tom Brady. Peyton had to beat Brady, and he
eventually beat Brady, eventually won the Super Bowl and then
of course won it again basically as a passenger in
the with the Broncos when he went back the second
time with the Broncos after getting beat by the Hawks.
And one is the.
Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
Only thing about that, though, to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
He needed to do it, and I think Josh Allen
needs to do it for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
The only thing about that, though, is you brought up
with Brady and Manning because I think a better example
would be.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Brady always beat men mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Manning actually won three three to three to two in
playoff wins in their rivalry, and like that, it's just
that Brady typically Manning would fold to other teams in
the playoffs, right right, it would just be random ship.
We're like, dude, what do you you were the f VP?
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
But he was three to two against Brady in the playoffs.
So that's the one that someone brought up was, oh
my god, Manning, not Manning.
Speaker 1 (01:11:12):
Marino, Marino kept losing to somebody. Marino, Marino went, Marino
went to the Super Bowl. So for that, like that,
that to me solidifies.
Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
At least get to the Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:11:24):
You've got to at least get to the ball. If
you're one of these great premiere passers, you've got to
at least get to the bowl. In the modern era,
you have to. Like if Lamar Jackson never gets to
the Super Bowl, I don't care how many punnits try
to tell you how amazing he is or was or
blame the team. What fuck it? No nothing, It means
nothing if you can't take this to these teams to
(01:11:45):
a super Bowl. It's about you. I just think there's
that's the situation there, especially when the Ravens have gone
with someone like Trent Delver to a super Bowl for
God's sake, So where were we all right? San Francisco, Seattle.
I kind of go Seattle in this one because I
want to see what Darnold can do, so I yeah,
San Franco is still a little beat up, so I
don't necessarily give him all the credit just yet. Detroity
(01:12:07):
Green Bay. I think Green Bay absolutely wins this. And
green needs to win this. If Jordan Love is supposed
to be this premier passer and this team is taking
the next leap and Mike is coming in, green Bay's
gotta win, and so especially at home for God's sake.
So yeah, Houston at the Rams, I think the Rams
win this one. I don't believe in Houston anymore, and
I don't believe in what's his face anymore as the quarterback.
(01:12:30):
I just have questions. I have questions. Baltimore Buffalo. I
do think Buffalo wins this because I think Josh Allen's
on a mission this year. But I think it's gonna
be another tight game, just like last year with the Ravens.
And the Chiefs in the opening game. I think it's
gonna come down to one moment that changes the game.
Minnesota at Chicago. I gotta have to believe in the
kid from Minnesota. So I'm gonna go with Minnesota beating
(01:12:53):
them in Chicago. I just I just can't buy into Chicago. Man,
there we go. All right, those are my answer.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I like that. I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
I like that because I because I want to see
if I can find that graphic really quickly.
Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
But it was.
Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
It was a really interesting graphic of quarterbacks that just
owned other quarterbacks like another specific quarterback, so like Aikman
owned Farv, and so by the time the Farv did
not get over the hump until essentially Aikman and the
Cowboys fully had self destructed at that point and they
didn't meet again. Jim Kelly was always beating Marino, yep,
(01:13:28):
until you know, until that that kind of stepped back.
Uh what I want to say they brought up I
want to say they brought up Steve Young for a
minute there. I can't remember who he kept beating. But
I'm gonna see if I can find that graphic.
Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
It was. It was a really interesting one that I
was like, shit, I never thought about that. Bro.
Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
Didn't he owned Aikman. I thought he owned Aikman.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Who uh young, No, no, no, because they got through him
to once they did, once they got to the if
I remember it was what Aikman won two of them
for the two super Bowls they won, and then when
they lost.
Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
To on Dion.
Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Oh yeah, and then they were like, okay, let's let's
go pay Deanna bajillion dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Trust me, I just watched that documentary. How'd you already forget?
Did you finish?
Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
I've almost finished, I've almost finished. I'm gonna be in
that place very soon to watch all of these things.
So so we'll see. So the season kicks off on Thursday,
we'll see what happens. We gotta get to these questions
and we can wrap up the show in the time.
But like excited to see it now, do we? We
didn't get to everything that we had on our list, Winston,
but we got to most of it. I think, yeah,
(01:14:30):
we got to most of it. Yeah, we got to
all that stuff. We got to Marvel zombies. So yeah,
just make sure we get to the big stuff. That's
what's important. But yeah, there'll be no game time with
Winston and I this year, unfortunately, but we'll cover stuff
on this show, uh so, so tune in every week
when we talk about the big stories entertainment, and an
occasional NFL story as well from the week. So all right,
(01:14:54):
let's get to the questions. Brother man kJ says, who
is more of an expert at spinning the narrative, the
Rock or the Lebron James, Oh, as a great question.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
That's actually a really good question.
Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
I would say Lebron because he always has these big
companies spin the narrative for him and with him, Like
that new ad from Nike. I mean, Jordan must watch
that ad and giggle his motherfucking ass off like it's nice.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Haven't seen it? What's the new one?
Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
It's basically, he's conquered everybody, He's silenced all the doubters.
He has snatched the crown of the goats, of the
King of Battles. And I'm like, Jordan must be watching
this lab in his nuts off.
Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
He probably took that personally, Bro, I mean, for being honest,
I mean I would say, I would honestly say it's Lebron.
And part of that, okay, I found the graphic. Here
we go, hold on, okay, let me because I don't
do that. Okay, here we go, uh screen share and then.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
This, okay, let me go full screen.
Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
So Mahomes is being out in four h h.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Brady beat Rivers three oh, Aikman beat far three oh,
Kelly beat Marino three oh, and then La over co
Star three oh.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
So it was just really it was just.
Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
A really interesting thing that I'd never really thought about,
and and that was that was the whole thing. So, yes,
you were correct. Brady did own a quarterback, but it
wasn't Manning. So that's but that's the thing. Alan is
already in bad territory. He's the only one to be
beaten four times and never won against Mahomes. If it
(01:16:30):
becomes five, oh, because all because again in all of
these cases, these are all other stellar quarterbacks here that
just one person was your kryptonite and then that was
it you your legacy is now.
Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
Yeah, but Mahomes beat Oss every time. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
If you had two m vps and then broke broke
the touchdown record, you could never beat Mahomes when it mattered.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
That will be your legacy. If he doesn't if he
doesn't find a way around it this time.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Yeah, as a guy who lost to the Patriots three times,
I know what that feels like, record against, but I
didn't win it twice. Goddamn Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Fannine too, Hey, John Way, what was the question we
were asking. I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Who's spinning the narrative? You were saying? Lebron?
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Oh Lebron, because yeah, it's not just in the public.
I watch him do it like every basketball game. Yeah,
like he sells it so much about like you want
to talk about not turning your personality off.
Speaker 1 (01:17:29):
Cowboys. Fannine too. Hey, John Wison, Happy Tuesday. Happy Tuesday
to you, brother. I hope you too are doing good. Marshall,
I don't know about you, but I'm okay with the
Parsons trade. Also, thoughts on this random SNL cash shake up.
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Dude, SNL cast shakeup is crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
We should have talked about that, my bad. Thank you
for suggesting that. Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
Yeah all good, I mean you had. Yeah, Devin Walker's gone,
Michael Longfellow's gone.
Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
A meal, I don't know how to pronounce some meals.
Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Lest Meil Wakeem I thought was amazing in his first season,
he just didn't get a lot of opportunity.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
So I hate that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
And then Heidi Gardner, Heidi Gardener, the Heidi Well random
after eight years and and killing it, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
But it is what it is, man, I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:18:17):
So there there's been a number of videos that come
out to talk about how the cash shakeup thing it
happens every so often. Like the last one I remember
was a mass exodus of Jay and and and being
forced out of Jay Pharaoh, like I want to say,
Bobby moynihan like tarn kill him, and I want to say,
like one other that I was like, wait what so yeah,
(01:18:39):
it's pretty crazy. Yeah, no, no, go ahead, go ahead ahead.
Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
These are the cast members coming in, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Colhayne,
Ben Marshall, Camp Patterson, and Veronica Slowakalska. So here's what
I'll say when I look at this and I and
I said this, I think last week a few weeks
on our show, and I've said all hot, Mike for sure,
and that is that hollyoo. It is now trying to
placate red staters. All these businesses that are presenting stuff
(01:19:07):
are trying to placate the white audiences more and more
now because it's a pushback from the DEI stuff that
ruled over the last four years. And it wasn't all
DEI by the way. I'm using that as shorthand, but
basically diversity. And so it's no surprise to me that
they got rid of the people they got rid of.
And I think Heidi walked on her own. She'd been
there for eight years and she'd even said recently on
(01:19:29):
podcasts that she was exhausted from writing sketches not just
at SNL but the years before SNL as well. So
and I think she wants to do more like movies
and sitcoms and doesn't want to be tied down to
doing a weekly show there like that. Devin Walker, I
think him saying toxic. A lot of black performers who've
walked through the halls of SNL, Chris Rock others have
(01:19:51):
said how toxic it is for black performers there because
they don't write for black performers. Keenan is the Keenan
is the anomaly. He goes in the tim meadows, right,
those people that just have a way of staying around
and getting used in certain ways as characters and doing
really good job. Other actors, other black actors come through
or performers come through, and they can't quite find their
(01:20:13):
their place there overall. So we'll see what happens. But
mil Juaqum, I think because you know, he has a
certain look, and I think they didn't want that look,
so they replaced it with four white people. Three white guys,
one of them of course from Please Don't Destroy Some
I'm happy to see him get elevated, and then one
white girl and the black guy. They got Cam Patterson,
the black comake from Orlando. He is part of the
(01:20:34):
you know, right wing bro comedy tony stuff, so he
was He's not, you know, like a liberal black comake.
He's more part of the right wing side of things.
So I think they're playing it safe with these choices.
Doesn't mean they're not funny, doesn't mean they won't be
great to see.
Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
You gotta see what they do. I mean, Yeah, it's interesting.
Of the three that Ben that's not who I would
have guessed would have been elevated. Yeah, right, not that
he's bad. I think he's good, but I figured it
would have been the short one. Yeah, with the with
the the the black Higgins yeah, John Higgins, Yeah, that
would have That would have been my guess of the
(01:21:11):
if or all three. But I'm curious if this ends
up being kind of like a Samberg type scenario of
Ben kind of becomes the de facto face of the
group because I'm assuming Please Do Not Destroy will still
do videos.
Speaker 1 (01:21:25):
No, they said they're breaking up?
Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Oh really yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
Yeah yeah, Higgins is going off to do his own things.
Martin Hurley, he who is the nerdier guy with the glasses.
He's sticking around to be a writer on SNL and
Ben Marshall is being elevated to be a performer on
s OHOA. That's the path that're walking down now. So what?
Because I love Please Don't Destroy Quietly, I love them
better than Lonely Island Quietly MIAs So personally.
Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
I disagree, but also but again, they're different. They're genuinely different.
They they get compared because it's a trio of white dudes, Yeah,
making obscure videos on SNL ye, But but I just
think that they're very different. That's like trying to compare
I don't know Eddie Murphy to to, I don't know what.
(01:22:18):
Pick another black comic that's not like deal Hughley, sure
hugely to Eddie Murphy like they're both black comments and
they both say cross things at some points, but they're
not the same styling, you know what I mean? That's
a great see you know what Cedric would have been
even better one.
Speaker 1 (01:22:34):
Oh Cedric?
Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
Yeah, absolutely, yeah, good call. All right, see what more
we got here? kJ Did you watch Woody Allen on
the Bill Maher podcast? What are your feelings on Woody
and his film career? My favorite is Take the Money
and Run. Yes, I did see it, and I saw
his comments that he wanted to direct Trump even though
he disagrees with ninety nine percent of what Trump says.
But that's Woody wood He's what. He's a fucking nutbag. Now.
(01:22:59):
My favorite always going to be Manhattan, even though it's
now in retrospects a little uncomfortable considering how old Samara
Hemingway was and how old he was for that movie.
But I love that movie. It's a beautiful movie. But
Hannah and Her Sisters is another great one. Do you
know any of the Woody Allen movies, Winsley, Have you
seen any of them?
Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
Ever? Never seen him?
Speaker 3 (01:23:18):
My only experience with him other than him being in
the news was ants.
Speaker 1 (01:23:23):
Oh yeah, ants yeah, I thought, yeah. April Newell says,
I love this show. Oh thank you a thank you.
You guys make me laugh every week. I look forward
to every show. I feel a sense of community with
the audience. Thank you, there you go, thank you love it,
Thanks for coming back every week. Yes, thirteen scaus. Apparently
the story is that Norbit is what costed Eddie his
(01:23:44):
oscar because the voters hated it and punished him. I
still would have given it to him. That's crazy, bro. Yeah,
And I think that's so shortsighted because and I don't
know if that's true, because how many actors who are
voting have done shitty fucking movies but have been great
in other movies.
Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
So you know, because I'll tell you this, I'll tell
you this right now. One of the things that kind
of pisses me off. And I get the argument of like, well,
Josh Allen technically had less, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
In my opinion. Lamar Jackson was the MVP last year.
Speaker 3 (01:24:13):
That felt like a it's Josh's time, You've already gotten
two because when you just look at the number straight up,
let alone, some of the signature games.
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
Lamar Lamar.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
They were both doing on godly things at quarterback, but
Lamar was on another plane, Bro, And so that that
to me. That's also kind of what we talked about
with Leo. It felt like, it's your time whatever, whatever,
you're letting outside shit influence it. So you're letting Norbit.
Was Norbit in Dream Girls? No exactly, they're not like
(01:24:49):
Norbitt was not in the movie.
Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
Pay attention to the movie. Yeah, why does Eddie Redmain
win for the theory of everything? And then Jupiter Ascending
comes out before the Oscars And that's one of those
worst fucking movies and worst performance he's ever delivered.
Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
This at.
Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
Chris Corker. The GOP needs Trump to keep the party
together despite his health. Dude might end up like Hector
from Breaking Bad, and he'll still be propped up. I've
never seen Breaking Bad song.
Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
Never seen Breaking Roco.
Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
I know, I know, I watched the first season and
I haven't made it past the first season.
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
In all honesty, you probably could make a lot of
money doing reactions to just watching Breaking.
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
Bad for the first time.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
It's not a bad idea.
Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
I like, especially some of the Marquee episodes, like some
of the major things that happened in the show. I
think you could actually make a shit ton of money
reacting to that. I think people would. I if I'm wrong, folks,
let me know. But I think that if he did
that that people would watch.
Speaker 1 (01:25:49):
Okay, do you edit your own reactions?
Speaker 3 (01:25:52):
Sadly, yes, which is why I'm I'm it's taking time
for me to get there. I'm trying to stockpile as
many as I can.
Speaker 1 (01:25:58):
I can't pay someone one hundred dollars to edit every Yeah,
but I would be broke by the time.
Speaker 2 (01:26:02):
That whole thing you would need to that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
That's where I give obviously credit to you know, because
I know Greg was doing them for a while, but
then like, yeah, but he but obviously they have somebody
to take care of it. And then same thing, that's
that some like that Christian past whatever in that realm.
Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
To do that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
But that's because it will then turn out you have
to get to a place where you're making enough money
from it then hand it over, right, And I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
I'm not making enough money to do exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
I'm in the same spot. We'll see, kJ says. Did
the Sports World overreact with Mona McNutt confusing Barry Sanders jersey.
Oh that's right, they said, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Did you see this?
Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
No, yeah, they Monica is not an NFL person. Now
she knows about NFL stuff, but she's not an NFL person.
But they had that influencer who's the who's the black
guy with the beard and the glasses. I can't remember
his name. He's he's an influencer. He was on the
list of Top twenty influencers or whatever. But he was
pressed me or dressed. Drewsky. He was on there wearing
(01:27:03):
a Barry Sanders jersey and Monica thought he was wearing
a Shadoor Sanders jersey in solidarity with Chador. Once happened
because they were talking about that subject and Drusky had
to correct her, which steven A did not correct her,
which other was hilarious, and people went crazy on Monica
for that. And the thing is, look, here's the deal,
(01:27:24):
and you know this, if you're an outspoken person, when
you make a mistake, going to come after you because
they already don't like you for being outspoken.
Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
You alive. But that's a weird thing to get that
upset about.
Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
She's a basketball analyst if she if someone came in
and you know, I don't know where in a Jordan
Jersey and you're like, oh, you like DeAndre Jordan, you
eat her alive, that would makes sense that that's that's
not hell no, But but I don't think that that's
fair if again both a being young and B if
(01:27:58):
she's not from.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
I don't think she's from Detroit. Yeah whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:28:04):
I think that the people love to find a reason
to get idiotic cowboys fan.
Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Of Jews is it feels like a network overreach by
NBC because of all the Trump fun they make they
will be missed. Well, yes, but look, all these businesses
are pivoting to try to make money. I wish we
could break the idea that businesses do things because it's
the morally right thing to do. They don't. They do
things that are convenient for their bottom line. And they
(01:28:31):
went diverse thinking it was what the public wanted. Now
that Trump got voted, obviously, I think public don't want that,
so they're going to go the other direction. And that's
what's happening.
Speaker 3 (01:28:40):
Yeah, I mean, look, I it's it's at the end
of the day, it is a money thing, and like
it's funny. I think that canceling the Late Show with Colbert,
I think it really was a split. I think that
it was political based off of the of everything that
(01:29:01):
was going on. But then they really did put out
the numbers that these late night shows because of the
world of podcasting, which is which is changed, because the
main point of late night shows was interviews. Yeah, be
able to get interviews with big names, especially celebrities, and
there's a bajillion podcast now, so they just weren't pulling
the money that they needed. So I think two things
(01:29:23):
are true at the same time, you know what I'm saying,
And so right, yeah, right, all.
Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Was how much time you got because we got four
of these left? Okay, okay, real quick. Matt Thomas says,
to my favorite fellow people of color, what's up, Matt,
keep making the badass content. Thank you, dude. Winston, uh
just Winston, I know you don't care, but horns down Beyonce.
I don't know what that means.
Speaker 3 (01:29:44):
He's talking about, because Ohios, Ohio state Texas.
Speaker 1 (01:29:49):
Oh gotcha, gotcha resting up after a busy labor day.
I hope you're doing well, Winston. I know you watched K
pop Demon hunters last night, I have still had one.
I need to react to that. What were your thoughts
do you want to say your thoughts you want to
say for your.
Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Tib I'm gonna I'm gonna save it because the truth
of the matter is I started the movie and then
I was like, I'm exhausted, and I recorded it so
I can use it to edit later.
Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
I went to bed.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
I went to bed at like eight o'clock like a
goddamn old man.
Speaker 1 (01:30:16):
Tim says Winston. Which storyline do you think Paramoun should
start with? On Call of Duty franchise? I like the
modern warfare campaigns, but I think the Black Ops stories
might be better theatrically, And how can the movies not
be just military propaganda? Oh well, good luck with that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
Uh, You're just gonna be military propaganda. And I also,
I just don't think that the stories are strong.
Speaker 2 (01:30:35):
Enough to become movies.
Speaker 3 (01:30:37):
But if you're gonna do it, I guess you really
need to focus on soap and all of them and
and and I would say follow their crew personally, but.
Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
Yeah, there you go. Somebody suggested Kazinski uh to direct them?
Who did f one? Oh, interest could be a nice
idea Grants is showing my love for spilling Tikina. Thank you.
Fred Winston's Blazing Saddles Watch Along was fun. That's awesome.
Hey John, are you going to spill that info you
had about the Marvels since you didn't do it on
the hot Mic. No, that's again. I was sworn to
(01:31:07):
secrecy on the two people involved. I am not going
to reveal that.
Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
I see.
Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
There's a new rumor today by somebody who I do
not know. Somebody tweeted it me about it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
Who is it?
Speaker 1 (01:31:20):
Who is this person? It is YouTuber Doomcock. I don't
know who Doomcock is, but they're claiming that it was
between Wyatt Russell and David Harbor. Let me clarify that now,
those are not the two names that I was told
repeatedly by multiple sources who were involved in the fight.
It is not Wyatt Russell or David Harbor. But hey,
(01:31:40):
Doomcock got some content content out of it, so more
power to him. But that is not the names I've heard,
and I do know the names. I do have the names.
I'm just not going to reveal them because I've been
sworn a secrecy on you know.
Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Shs been.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
I can't believe I'm much of it. Really, it was
a toss off thing. I can't believe really him shocked well.
Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
Because the truth is where everybody loves to say that
MCU is dead. It's far from it, but they are
praying for its downfall, right, and they want the t
and normally.
Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
The proof that it's not dead is again, I go
back to the chairs, regardless of right. Say, people sat
around for hours, myself included watching fucking chairs. They made
how many millions from that? That's insane.
Speaker 1 (01:32:27):
Matt Thoma says, if you think the behalf are going
to get beat on Browns, if you think the Bengals
are gonna Matt, please watch your stuff. I can't remember.
If you think the behalf are gonna beat on it Browns,
you don't watch AFC nor football, and you're forgetting the
Bengals still have the worst defense in the league. Oh
he's Oh that's right, Matt's a Cleveland Browns Joe flackout bro.
Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
Anyway, who's gonna who's going to score you points?
Speaker 1 (01:32:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
We love to know your point But what receivers do
you have?
Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
Because last time I checked, they were calling Jerry Judy
just another guy that was That was when he was
still in Denver.
Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
Uh, you don't really know what you did.
Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
I think if if Shador was ready and you put
him in, then I would have this argument with you.
What Joe Flacco's gonna do? What Kenny Pickets broken ass
gonna do?
Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
Well? What did?
Speaker 3 (01:33:14):
I damn sure to know. Dylan Gabriel ain't doing shit.
So I would love to know who's going to actually
get shot a score points.
Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
This is a forty five to ten game. Joe Burrow.
Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
Tin is that bad? But I do think it's like
thirty five to fourteen.
Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
And Joe Burrow's gonna pick that defense apart. You know,
I'll put money on a Winston close game or Brown's win.
Don't doubt that Brown's defense.
Speaker 2 (01:33:37):
Did you cut picket? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
They cut picket? Pickets over.
Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
So what? So the final team is Flacco, Gabriel and Shador.
Speaker 1 (01:33:45):
Yep?
Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
Interesting one three? Holy crap?
Speaker 1 (01:33:51):
Okay, Scott Welsh, Hey guys, Rocer, I would love to
hear your thoughts about the swat is spitting on Seattle's
head of security after the MIAMIFC Seattle Sanders game. If
the MLS wants to be taken seriously. The league they
have to give a lengthy suspension. Yeah, I think they
should as well. And Suarez is a track record listen.
I love Swat, he is El Pistoledo. He was my
guy at Liverpool for so long. Plussy South American from Uruguay,
(01:34:11):
as I'm South American by my parents, so to me,
I love Swatz, but I know he's fucking terrible. That
races insurance with Patrice Evra, the biting of the Italian
player in the World Cup. He's just too passionate. Sometimes
he gets it gets the best of him, and you
can't spit on the head of security of somebody else's
team because you're in a fight. And Sergio Bisquet should
(01:34:34):
get suspended as well for punching one of the Seattle players,
which i've At the end of the day, I'm like this,
it's fucking MLS. What are you getting upset about? Apparently
there were fights, even I saw the video of fans
getting into fights after the game. It's MLS. This is
a shade above high school. What do you tall or college?
What are you getting so upset about? It's the fucking MLS.
(01:34:55):
I could see it in Europe with you know, centuries
old leagues, but the my less. So to me, it's like,
just suspend them all because it was Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
I also I just want to take a moment to
go back and ship on the Browns again. Who who
is Cedric Tillman? I heard it that uh and a
Jamari Thrash. I've never heard of this individual either. These
are your two and three. You're your wine, you'r z receivers. Bro,
You've just got Judy. So yeah, you got a joke,
(01:35:25):
you got a joku and Judy that's all you got.
Do you understand that the Cowboys completely self destructive when
all they had was CD Lamb and and uh, I
can't even remember our damn tight ends and Ferguson.
Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
That was not enough.
Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
Okay, So in a league where a Davante and an
aj exist, in.
Speaker 2 (01:35:44):
A league where where now you.
Speaker 3 (01:35:46):
Got Lamb and Pickens like teams around the league got
two to three, four, five six threats?
Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
What what Judy gonna do by himself?
Speaker 1 (01:35:56):
Isaiah Bond and David Bell, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, Dedre
DeAndre Carter, George larn.
Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
Uh Yeah I know now, Dre Carter, who do you think.
Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
No, I don't see points on this. And and to me,
it's to me, the Cleveland Browns are like, uh, mister
in color purple when Seely said, till you do right
by me, everything you touch gonna do wrong. Till you
get rid of Deshaun Watson, everything you do gonna be wrong.
(01:36:31):
And I think that's.
Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
Johnny Football was shooting on the Browns too, like heyo,
he was on.
Speaker 1 (01:36:37):
He was on uh, drinking and partying in the instead
of staying home.
Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
He admitted where he screwed up.
Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
He was like, there's a lot where I got in
my own ego and the the the Johnny Football thing,
the fact that that's who I became somewhere all the
rock went from Dwayne Rods of the rock. It's like
I became too much Johnny Football. And then as I
developed a drinking and a drug problem, that was a
big problem and I'd self destructed. However, the way the
Browns just went about business, what are you doing? And that,
(01:37:07):
it was like, I think it's absurd how they're treating
your door like like what are you like? You know,
so we're gonna see what's gonna happen. But we'll see
because because on the flip side, you know who the
Bengals have on their offense other than have Joe Burrow
throwing the ball. You got Chase Brown, who had a
resurgence last year. Obviously Jamar Chase arguably be the best
receiver in the league, if not number two. You got
(01:37:28):
t Higgins who's in the top ten. So you got
on the top ten and a top two receiver. And
then but the the the Andre whatever his name is
is so vig. He's not bad for a three option.
But then Koseki is actually pretty damn good too. And
Noah Feint if Kaseki has hurt. So you got hell
of people that can go and score for you.
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
Who goes going for the Browns? Yeah? And that uh
and EO. Savis is gonna make a jump. Yes, he
is gonna make that jump. He is gonna make that jump.
Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
I think you will.
Speaker 1 (01:37:59):
Yeah. So yeah, man, Yeah, the Bengals are coming and
the Bengals defense is I think has improved from last year.
So and Hendrickson's back now into that contract and he's
gonna play man. So yeah, I think that's gonna be
a stomping honestly, But we'll see Dragon King last one
here seventy two Media LLC says it's good to see
a black and Latino American together and friends in genuine
(01:38:21):
keep it up. Oh thank you, mancisolutely apprecire.
Speaker 3 (01:38:24):
Look if we if we, if we had done this early,
if we had put black and Latino people coming Togeggle,
we could have made our own goddamn political party. Don't
need no Democrats that mag of bullshit, and we could
have we could have sawd bro.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
God damn it.
Speaker 3 (01:38:37):
Like think about think about the Affle Latinos that actually
acknowledge that their Affle Latino and the greatness that they create.
Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
Man, yes, we will be the Miles Moralest party.
Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
My god, we should be the Miles Morales party. Like
we should need the Spider Verse party, Bro.
Speaker 1 (01:38:55):
Spider Verse party.
Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
Just gotta make sure no Miguel's end up there. Miguel
O'Hara has ended up trying to trump everybody and be like,
you're gonna do what I say, kill Roke, Spider Man.
Speaker 1 (01:39:06):
There's always one Latino. There's one Latino.
Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
Just sees another Latino. Oh he half black, kill his as.
Speaker 1 (01:39:17):
Now we grabbed you, buddy.
Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Wait is Michuel o'ha Is that the Jong Litzamo, to
the to the to the girell Jerome who had just
wanted damn Emmy and a golden globe, and he was
out here being like, why are there no Latinos winning this?
Speaker 1 (01:39:31):
Yeah, you just.
Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
Won one, bro? What are you? What are you going
on about?
Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
He's the old man in the room, John. I appreciate
the fight from years past, but he's a little past
it now. All right, let's get out of here. Thank

Before I do that, I would like to point out
that Matt Thomas is just so the dumbest thing I've
ever heard him say in the entirety that I've known him.
He just said Joe Burrow is a career five and
three against the Browns. Two of those were last year,
the Brown's own Burrow. I'm sorry if Burrow has won
a majority of the meetings.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
How in the fuck the Browns own Burrow?
Speaker 1 (01:40:31):
That's confusing?
Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
Baby? Do you know how math works?
Speaker 3 (01:40:35):
So if you can find me at the SWAGGI blurt
on all platforms. Man, I'm gonna be tonight. I'm gonna
be off editing some of these reactions. I'm trying to
get capeop T Hunters out by this weekend before my
lady gets back in town. But you will see me
on Friday with capes and cows over the Christian. I'm
also gonna start doing reactions with Christian. The first one
I'm doing for his channel is Jaws. Never seen Jaws before?
(01:40:57):
Don't Tell, Don't tell Dan Merle.
Speaker 1 (01:41:01):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:41:01):
So we're doing that, and as we announced last week,
Blurds in the Hood is back. We will be doing
the show on Wednesdays. We're going to start off two
times a month on Wednesdays and then hopefully up to
once a week, but we will keep you informed on that.
We're currently in kind of a pre show pre production,
getting all our ducks in a row type stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:41:21):

right now.
Speaker 1 (01:41:24):
