Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome my little VIPs to my.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
New little thing on Fridays.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Pain Bites Bytes, and that it does. Pain short does
bite certainly every aspect of my life, and some days
pain just bites everywhere. So these little pain bites are
designed to give my listeners more of a voice out
in this world and get engaged not just with the
people that are listening, but also with me, because what's
(00:27):
happened with the show is I've fallen in love with
doing it, and I've fallen in love with your stories,
no matter how sad they are, no matter how wonderful
they are, And I don't feel like everybody gets a
chance to have their voices be heard. And so I thought,
you know what, let's try something new.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
It'll work. Maybe I won't, we'll give it a try.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
So anyways, these are designed for little quick bites from
the week, moments that rocked, wrecked you, revived you, the highs.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
The lows, the messy in the middle, all of it.
I want it all.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
So send me your weekly wins, pain issues, trauma, divorce,
whatever it is that you're going through chaos. Also, you
could throw in some joy, some hope, some winds, some
amazing things that are going on in your life, what's
dragging you down, what's lifting you up?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I want to hear about it. I want to learn
more about you.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I want to learn more about my audience and who
is listening and what they want more out of me.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
So I want to hear it. Talk to me. Let's
have your voice be heard.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Even if it's just for a bite. So here's the
bite for this Friday from one of our listeners.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
She struggles with something called Rainow's disease.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Rainos disease is a condition where blood vessels in the
hands and feet over react to colder stress, causing temporary
spasms that restrict blood flow.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
This can lead to color.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Changes, numbness, coldness in the affected areas, like your fingers
and toes can turn white and then blue and then
red again as blood fill returns.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
It almost feels like and I have it.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Of course they do have everything, a very small version
of it on the fingertips of mine. And it's like
they don't feel like they're attached to your hand anymore.
It's really weird, and sometimes they feel cold and numb,
and it's painful right it throbs. There's all these tingling
and these sensation occurs as the blood flow starts to return.
(02:11):
It can also called skin ulcers and gang green, which
I did not know about, and also, sadly enough, can
lead to tissue death.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
So we need to get on top of this.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Everything seemed to be going okay for Rachel until a
few wednesdays ago. Her rain nows got so out of
control it didn't matter what she would do, whether she
was warmer, cold, nervous or chill, or if she gripped
her dog normans leash a little too tight, or even
while driving, her hands started to lose circulation, which is
super scary when you don't feel like you can grip on.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I have that with my feet when I'm driving.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
She's totally frustrated because this is something she had a
couple of years ago, but never to this extent, and
so for it to come back and come back with
a vengeance makes no sense and throws her for a
loop and of course feeds her anxiety. It's almost giving
me a little anxiety just thinking about it. So let's
hear from Rachel.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Please leave your message after the tone.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Okay, I wanted to share the shit that's been bogging
me down for the past three and a half weeks.
One random Wednesday, I was walking my dog and my
hands went completely white. And I know that this is
called Rhinow's disease, and I've had it previously, but I
have not had it like this in a very long time.
And now anytime I'm either nervous or anxious, or I'm
(03:26):
outside and it's cold, not even cold, and that's fifteen
degrees celsius, I lose all circulation in my hands, which
is very painful, and it definitely creates a spiral for me.
I know that I will get through it, and I've
made such great progress previously, but definitely something that has
put a damper on the past three and a half
(03:50):
weeks and caused a little bit of a tailspin for me.
So that is my pain bite, and then next time
I hope to share some major wins.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
My dad has rainouse in his feet and it is
getting worse for him by the day. When you used
to be insanely active, like my whole family is on
my dad's side at least, and you start.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
To deteriorate and the pain creeps in.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
It is so hard to focus on anything but that
we certainly know and feel out here on this show
and in this house.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
