Speaker 1 (00:01):
Woooo it is for Friday, my little VIPs, And what
a bricking week it's been. I swear that with each
day that passes, I must experience three hundred and fifty
million different types of pain, sensations, feelings, theories about why
this has all happened to me, the positives, the negatives,
the ups, the downs, the all around. My days are
(00:22):
really exhausting living in this body, and it isn't getting
any easier, right, I mean, pain bites, man, it just does.
I've never been this exhausted as I have been for
the past couple years, and lately my exhaustion has been
through the roof, like I'm just hooped, you guys.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Like the fatigue is insane, and that fatigue makes me
not be as accomplished and productive as I used to be,
where I would wake up at five o'clock in the
morning and I'd be done by midnight and I was
rocking and rolling. I can't even remotely do that anymore,
my god, so you know, And it's emotional to feel useless.
(01:01):
It's emotional on these days where I quite frankly am useless.
I'm like laying in bed just kicking it by myself
and the dogs, with my laptop, with my ice booties,
with all of the things I've got going chocolate for one,
and massive amounts of THHC and CBD because I don't
do anything else even the Drinking's God, my life is
(01:21):
a complete toilet. No, it's not. I'm actually very grateful
for my life, even through the shit that this is
of the body that I'm in. Right So, as you know,
we do these little pain bites here every other Friday,
and we're still kind of trying to figure out how
we want these to work, So keep on sending in
what you've been doing. But here is a bite for
this Friday from one of our listeners. We're gonna call
(01:43):
her Mary Tea, and one of them is emotional and
one of them is physical. She kind of sent in
two of them, so we're gonna push them together and
we're gonna talk to you Mary. My girl. Mary has
moderate osteoarthritis in her knees, painful but manageable, which I
love to hear. But due to some recent weight gain, Mary,
are you snacking too much? The pain went through the roof.
(02:04):
She ended up having to use a walker for a
brief period of time, and boy, do we know in
the pain community how needing mobility tools is something that
we need and we have to just go with it
and adapt and use them, because if we don't, we
lose our freedom. We use the joy that we once
had by not being able to move our bodies. So
good for you for doing that. They provide us that
(02:25):
freedom so that we can do more when our bods
are acting out on us. And through the pain of
all of it, she was able to drop some of
her extra lbs and is now on a roll. And
I'm so proud of you. Mayor down ten with twenty
more to go, and you should be proud of yourself,
she wrote, I'm proud of myself and you should, and
we are very proud of you too, So keep it going, babe.
(02:46):
Then we go to the trauma side of things. We
certainly cover that every show and every second on this show, right,
the importance of starting to process traumas that we have
endured at no matter what age, is challenging to start,
to say the least, Right, it's just just to walk
out the door and begin therapy on something that's traumatic
(03:08):
in and of itself is traumatic to do right, So
here she is She's got trauma, and that importance of
trauma and facing our fears and facing those things is
so incredibly important. So and I didn't even start talking
about my childhood, teenage, college, and adulthood trauma until I
started this show. So that was like, I don't even
(03:28):
want to say how old I am. But it is
so incredibly hard and truly and honestly hard to be
true and honest and raw and real and open and
not be scared because it is super scary. So now
we have little miss Mary who started her therapy a
few weeks ago to finally face her childhood trauma, and
even though it was messy and scary and sad, she
(03:53):
is having insight after breakthrough after breakthrough and growing and
is so also very proud of herself for her courage,
and she's should be. It's not easy to open up
and to be raw and share your shitty scoops, you know.
I mean, it's just it's hard work, but it's necessary.
And I wonder if she will keep dropping weight and
her pain lifts as she continues to rock the therapy world.
(04:13):
Wouldn't that be an epic? I certainly hope. So, Mary,
we are behind you. Keep on trucking. It is the
only way. And I wanted to say a personal note
to you, Mary, thank you so much for your emails
and your messages with positive and uplifting stuff about me
and my show. This is my why you, You guys, are,
in fact, my intention this morning on my insight timer app,
(04:35):
which I've got the little widget on the home screen
of my phone, and I love that it's there because
I look at my phone seventy two thousand times a
day like we all do, and it's right there in
my face. And my intention this morning was remember my why.
So thank you for the reminder. Mary, I really appreciate.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
And hang in there.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Keep up the good work, and to all of you
that are listening, keep up the good work too. Even
if it's baby steps we've got to do. One step
is better than no steps, right forward progress guys. All right,
