For years, stories have circulated about enormous humanoid beings spotted in the remote mountains of Afghanistan—some even allegedly encountered by U.S. soldiers. From tales of a red-haired, six-fingered giant to reports buried under military secrecy, the legend of the Kandahar Giant refuses to die. In this episode of The Paranoid Perspective, we dig into the origins of the story, the supposed eyewitness accounts, and the internet lore that keeps this myth alive. Is there any truth to these stories, or is it just modern folklore wrapped in conspiracy? We separate fact from fiction—and ask why this legend still looms so large.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the Paranoid Perspective. I'm Jake and I'm Sarah.
Today we're going to go over something kind of crazy,
kind of off the wall, kind of WU but not
super WU. Sarah. We're going to talk about giants and
the giants, particularly in Afghanistan. So have you ever heard
about this?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
No, I've heard of giants, but not particularly there.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah. So there's some what would be the best way
to describe this, supposedly clandestine operations that have been covered
up during you know, operation and during freedom about giants
and whatnot. And later on we'll get into, you know,
some of the history of you know, throughout you know,
more religious texts and stuff like that about actual giants

(00:45):
and stuff like that, or supposedly actual giants. I guess
I shouldn't say actual giants because alleged alleged giants. Yeah,
So for anybody that doesn't know, which I don't know
how you would not know, because we've fucking fought in
this stupid war for you know, twenty years. But I

(01:05):
have a couple of stories about some stuff that supposedly
happened in Afghanistan, and it's anywhere from like two thousand
and two to oh, two thousand and nine, twenty ten,
somewhere in that in that range for those that might
not know or might be you know, kind of too
young to remember. The reason why we went to Afghanistan

(01:27):
was because of the attacks on the Twin Towers on
September eleventh one. Right, Yeah, sorry, crazy that I don't
remember that because I remember sitting in a classroom watch
it happen. But yeah, anyway, so we went in there
and it was kind of like we're going to overthrow
the Taliban, which had a government there. Essentially what ended

(01:49):
up happening when we got there, they kind of all
retreated out from the cities and kind of started this
guerrilla warfare out in like the more rugged mountainous terrain.
So a lot of the early operations that were happening
were not only like seizing like key territory like you know,
airfields and key strategic cities and stuff like that, but
also like going out and scouting out these very rugged

(02:12):
rule out there sort of places where there's not a
lot of like people. So it's one of those things
where you were sending out a bunch of like small
teams going out and doing you know, reconnaissance seeing where
if they could root out any of these Taliban fighters
from you know, these mountain passes, these caves, stuff like that.
So I have a couple of stories, and this first

(02:32):
one takes place in two thousand and two. So this
happened in Kandahar, Afghanistan, which is before we get into it.
When I was over there. It's wild because you get
this like urban sprawl of like Kandahar, which it's like
a big bustling city with you know, cars, shops, schools,

(02:55):
like anything you would imagine at a normal like city.
The second you get out of it, it's like you
just time traveled back like three thousand years. It's really insane.
How just people that are still living there are living
like you would see in like the biblical times. That's

(03:18):
what it's. It's insane. So it's it's it's kind of
crazy to see the two contrasts not even like ten
miles apart. Yeah, so it's it's yeah, it's crazy. So
there was a squad that went missing of some sort
of special operations. It's not really said what they were.

(03:38):
Most likely it was probably army, but there was a
squad that went missing. So there was another squad that
was tasked to go find these guys and see what happened. Either,
they assumed probably they either got ambushed, they got you know,
there was some sort of like siege that was keeping
them from you know, communicating back, or maybe even the

(03:58):
mountains themselves that were preventing the radio communication. But they
hadn't had any communication with these guys for quite a while.
Assuming the best that they were just under heavy fire
and they needed somebody to come help, they sent out
another squad to come find these guys. So this squad
was sent out, and they were walking through this rugged

(04:20):
mountain trail which was only wide enough to probably fit
about maybe two people side by side. So you're looking
like a very very narrow trail, which these trails that
you would see over there are extremely sketchy. You know,
you're looking at massive cliff faces on one side and
then massive drops on the other side, and you just
have this little, tiny little area you could walk between.

(04:42):
You know. Wow. So they came across this like kind
of open clearing and they started to see like remnants
of military garb, like radios, different things, damaged equipment and whatnot.
So right off the rip, these guys were thinking, holy shit,
these guys got ambushed. Here's a bunch of their stuff.
We need to try to track down where these guys

(05:03):
are at. So they came up to the opening of
a very large cave where there were still more pieces
of this military equipment. But it also was weird as
they started seeing like bones kind of like scattered around. Okay, yeah, yeah, so,

(05:23):
and they assumed it was like goat or something, some
sort of indigenous animal that you know, maybe had died there.
It wasn't like a I don't think it like the
way it's described. It's not like a mass pile of
It's just like they started seeing like random bones kind
of around.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
When they were about to enter the cave, anywhere between
a twelve and a fifteen foot man with fiery red
hair sprinted out of the cave and attacked the US soldiers.
They attacked. That creature attacked the soldiers with what is

(06:01):
assumed to be anywhere from I want to say when
they were talking about it, had a spear and impaled
one of the soldiers right off the bat.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
So once that happened, rest of the guys they're opening
up on this fucking thing, you know, laying down a
bunch of hate. Anyway, it took about thirty seconds of
continuous fire. Now, for people that might not know, when
you have a squad size element that's anywhere from I mean,
depending on what kind of unit you're in, you're looking

(06:34):
at probably about ten to twelve people. So we can
assume that eleven people are shooting for thirty seconds. That
is so much stuff. Yeah, going down range, it is
not even funny. So most of these guys were armed
with M four's, which shoots you know, five five six,

(06:55):
which isn't like a super big it's really it's more
of like a twenty two long rifle, but it's kind
of just more high power, so it wouldn't be you know,
I've seen it where you know, like you've heard these
stories of like guys getting hit with this and it
travels so fast they don't realize their hits. So if
you're actually shooting something like supposedly this big and this strong,

(07:15):
it probably was just pissing it off more than anything.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, probably, but wow.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
After thirty seconds of sustained fire, they ended up killing it.
According to the witness, the giant wore like canvas or
animal hide, and then it had like moccasins that it
had made out of the same material and it smelt
like absolute death.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah. Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
So going inside and you know, after they killed the thing,
they go inside the cave, they're looking around, they find
that other squad, this giant had supposedly been eating the
squad of people that were left. So they call this up. Now,
what was really weird about this story is when they
call it up on the radio. I understand military, it's

(08:02):
it's very matter of fact and we don't have time
to get emotional and stuff like this. But one of
the people that talked about this, supposedly one of the
people that were there, he goes by the name of
mister K. Supposedly, when they called up and requested METOVAC
and kind of give like their sit rep or their
situational report for what was happening, nobody on the other
end seemed like shocked or surprised. It was kind of

(08:26):
like they had heard it before, right right. So, And
it was weird too because like when they called for
the METAVAC for the soldier that was killed im paled
with the spear, it was like the helicopters were like
already like on their way there. It was like it
was one of those weird response times that happened like

(08:46):
way too quick. So and granted like maybe there could
have been like aircraft on station already in the area
that just responded really quickly like that happened. Tends to happen,
but there are most times when it's like you're waiting
for at least a little bit, like you know it's
going to be a little while. But a larger helicopter
called a chinook if anybody doesn't know what a chinook is,

(09:06):
it's the one with the two rotor blades up top
that kind of looks like a big school bus also
came and it dropped down a cargo net. The soldiers
were told to load up the dead body of the giant,
and the chinook flew away and they never saw the
giant again.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah, I was wondering what happened to the body.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
All soldiers that were involved in that operation were signed
to a non disclosure agreement and we're told never to
talk about the incident again, just like.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
With aliens, but now giants.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Right. Yeah, so uh, for listeners that may not know,
I was in the military for quite a while, I
spent some time over in that part of the world,
and I swear to God there's enough terrifying things over
there not to include a fucking giant with a spear
running out of a fucking cave. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah, you don't need to make up something.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Well, and this is the only thing, Like I'm not
like super like into the cryptid things. I'm sure we've
well established that. The thing with Like, whenever I hear
about like the UAPs or UFOs or weird things like
this with the military, everybody that I kind of hear
talk about it, it's either one of two things, Like
they're either adding like way too many details where it's

(10:21):
obviously a lie, or there's so matter of fact about
it that it's like, what the fuck, why would you lie? Like,
you know what I mean, Like I kind of have
like those two sides of my I've thought with it,
you know what I mean, because there's really not a
lot of detail on that besides like that initial contact
with it, right, you know, you would think if it's like, yeah,

(10:42):
I was part of some spec ops team and we
had this thing, and we took it back to base
and they you know, examined it and did all this
other stuff and blah blah blah blah blah. Like I
don't know, you would think there'd be more detail than that.
So now suppose supposedly this thing some of it's attributes
besides being you know, twelve to fifteen feet tall and

(11:04):
have fiery red hair, it also has six fingers and
six toes, and it also has two rows of teeth.
So yeah, so still very human like but obvious genetic differences.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, soople can have six isn't that? I think that's
a dominant trait, but it's so little.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Yeah, I forget the medical term, but it's like para
dactile or something like that, where you're born with extra appendages, but.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Some have them all be six.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
I think it is weird, yeah, because most of the time,
like you'll have people that just have like an extra thumb,
like shooting out of their thumb. You know, there are
some cases where you have like fully formed, you know,
five fingers in one thumb, but it's very rare. So
it's kind of one of those weird stories that like
I don't know, I mean, I know that there are

(12:02):
some clandestine operations that have happened. I know there's some
you know, plausible deniability stuff that have happened, and probably
some really weird stuff, But I don't know. The funny
thing is, this was kind of like when I was
over in that part of the world, there were there
were jokes about this that happened from time to time.
You would still hear it in passing. Nobody was ever,

(12:23):
like super serious about it, but it was prevalent you
would hear jokes about it. So I don't know's that's
one of the first ones I have for you. This
one's a little bit later. For this next one. This
is the Giant of Kunar. This is a massive being.
An infantry team leader reported scene during an appoyment between
two thousand and eight and two thousand and nine. While

(12:44):
overlooking a village at night, the soldier peered through the
thermal scope, which those things are super cool because I mean,
like you can still see details of like the outline
of you know, the environment, but anything that shows up
if you have it in white hot, if it's you know,
warm blood, you're going to see a white dot or
a white silhouette, or or if it's close enough, you
might see like the shape of it. So as he

(13:09):
spanned the valley and came across a large heat signature
he assumed where a group of Taliban fighters huddled together
around a fire up in the mountains. Then all of
a sudden, the heat signature stood up as one bean.
The trees that grew in that area were anywhere from
about ten to twelve feet tall, and the thing was
at least as tall, if not taller, than the trees

(13:31):
that surrounded it.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Wow. Yeah, that would be so scary.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
To see it. I have fun experience seeing some wild shit,
and it wasn't anything like that. But yeah, I would
ship my pants if I thought it was like, I
don't know, two or three dudes huddled around like in
a blanket or something, and it just stood up.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Right out of nowhere, taller than the tree. Yeah, we're like,
oh shit.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
It did start to walk around, and it showed like
a slow and relaxed posture, like it really wasn't too
worried about it. Yet it moved with incredible speed because well,
obviously its stride has to be fucked eight feet Well, yeah,
you know what I mean. Like, so it said it
had a calm but purposeful like approach whenever it was moving,

(14:24):
so like it wasn't bothered with anything, but it obviously was.
You know. It's kind of like when you see like
a like anything like in the animal world is like
like wolves, like the alpha the alpha male, like it's
going to walk around knowing it's the baddest motherfucker, you know.
And that's kind of what I'm getting from from that,

(14:45):
you know, vibe of that description. It walked parallel to
the soldier's position for a time before disappearing into a
nearby spur of a mountain. So I don't know. It's
one of those things where the thermal side of it,
for me is kind of what gets me, because you're
able to make out relatively well what you're looking at,

(15:06):
you know, even from like a pretty good distance. It's
it's not like one of those like ooh, I just
see a hot blob on the on the scope, you know.
Or if you do see a hot blob, it's usually
like a dead animal, you know what I mean. It's
it's not gonna move, it's not going to do anything.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
So yeah, that's crazy. I mean, I wonder if it's
like related to Bigfoot. I guess some people say bigfoots
as tall as trees. Maybe it's actually a giant.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Well, the only reason why I think that it might
not be is because the people that have like seen
these things that like the six appendages, like the six
fingers and toes, the red hair is always like a
very common thing, something really really weird. I didn't I
kind of was thinking about this. They're certain like everything,

(15:59):
Like the groups in Afghanistan are extremely tribal. Right, That's
why I think it's so hard to establish like a
centralized government because you don't have like any centralization whatsoever.
Like I said, it's like going back thousands of years,
you're looking at very close knit tribes of people, and
a lot of these tribes would have this tradition and

(16:21):
I'm honestly not sure why. Listeners, if you know, let
me know in the comments. They would dye their hair
that fiery red color from time to time.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah, I think I've seen that before. Yeah, I think
parts of Africa.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Do too, right, right, Yeah, so it's another one of
those things. And then I've heard stories about, like I
don't know how true this is, as just a story
about how occasionally they would dye their goats that color
and then the goats would no longer like be around.
So I'm wondering if it would be something like to

(16:56):
appease this creature or whatever creatures, whatever it may be,
you know, or maybe having the the dyed hair, you know,
won't make you a target for these I don't know,
you know, it's one of those things where, unfortunately, with
the situation that you know, most of the United States
servicemen and women were in over there, you weren't like

(17:16):
nobody was trying to give you a lot information. They
didn't like you very much for obvious reasons. So it's
one of those things where I don't really know what
the reasoning was behind that. I'm sure there is a reasoning,
might probably just a traditional thing, but I'm not really sure.
Now there are a few more, and I have some
about drones when they, you know, were flying over doing

(17:38):
reconnaissance and stuff like that. So this is from an
Air Force drone operator who was working in the northern
part of Afghanistan, and as he recalls, he was just
scanning around and doing his thing, looking for stuff. Now,
the thing with the drone operators, a lot of the
stuff what they're doing is they're gathering any sort of intel,

(17:58):
any sort of like pattern of life before any operations happened,
and you know it's like, okay, if we go in here,
how many civilians are there? Are the civilians carrying weapons? Aren't?
You know? Like there's this whole like intel like build
up that they do before you do any sort of
operation like that. One day, the drone operator allegedly spotted

(18:21):
three giants roughly twelve feet tall. According to him, there
is a ruler tool that tells you how wide your
crosshair is, and the drone camera and the people were
as tall as the crosshair was wide. Okay, so this
was infrared at night, so it showed up as a

(18:42):
humanoid heat signature. So, like I said, you can tell
it's a person. For ten minutes, the operator observed them,
during which time he reported, the giants tended to their fire,
performed other chores, and according to him, the only interesting
thing was the size. So what you're seeing is just normal,
Like it looks like just normal people just doing what

(19:05):
people do, tending to fires, taking care of stuff. The
one crazy thing about this was there were goats in
this little clearing with them, and he said they looked
like cats next to them.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Wow, yeah, that's their pet, their little kitty kit.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Yeah, I mean, goats do like to play and they
like to be lovable, So who knows, I mean they
they that could be there, you know, their version. Pet.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Are there any photos or it's all like hidden because
it's military like stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
No, there's no photos. I do have. I'll give you.
I'll give you an artist rendition of the first story
that I shared with you though, and it's a it's
a little gruesome. So people on YouTube, you know, you
might want to, you know, not go with this one.
Risk you at your own risk. Your discretion is advised.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yeah wow, yeah he is real big Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Yeah, so I mean supposedly. I mean, I don't put
a lot of stock into this if we're being real.
As far as like the artist's rendition, I like the stories,
they are interesting, but yeah, there's no actual photos of them,
you know, so we could we could sit and kind
of speculate on what it would look like. I'm every

(20:23):
every story that I have, it's very consistent, very tall
humanoid creature and with with with red hair six digits
as far as fingers and toes. Only in a few
times I have seen like the double rows of teeth
that that's come up multiple times. So continued on with
the drone. There was another airman that recalled on the

(20:46):
northeast of the Corngall Valley, where he scanned and analyzed
real time video feeds. According to his account, the airmen
watched some dudes quote unquote around a fire and said
he and wanted to see if he could identify any weapons.
After about twenty minutes, he thought there were two dudes
held together under a blanket and then stood up the

(21:08):
guy next to the rest of the people. He made
the other people look like children. So this is one
of those where it's like, not only are these things
like out and about, but they're like intermingled with humans. Yeah,
so that's that's one of those things that kind of
like struck me with the if they're intermingled with humans,

(21:32):
that kind of makes sense why we die. They dye
their hair, dye their beards, stuff like that. I mean,
in a tribal society, usually the biggest, baddest, scariest dude
is the one in charge. Well, if you've got a
dude that towers over everybody, yeah, he's probably gonna be

(21:52):
in charge. Yeah, you know so, or maybe it's.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Their own tribe. Yeah, giants that with other tribes.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Maybe, I don't know, but in terms of the height,
when he stood up and walked over to a mud hut,
he had to bend all the way over to get in. Wow. Now, granted,
these mud huts that you know I encountered over there,
the doors are relatively low comparatively speaking to us. But

(22:22):
I never had to like duck, like, you know, I
had to like, yeah, I would have to shrug down
from time to time, but I would never have to
like bend over to get into it, you know. And
I'm roughly about six feet so yeah, you know, And
I think that's that's kind of the part that you're intermingled.
But then also he that thing, if it's true, obviously

(22:46):
doesn't live in that area. Why like it would have
a door that it could walk through comfortably. It wouldn't
just be like, oh, yeah, I enjoy, you know, hunkering
down every time I have to go into this you.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Know, muddy yeah, and being in the field position when
I sit in this tiny Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
So I have one more story, and this one's kind
of hits a little close to home because I worked
with some of these guys in this province in Afghanistan.
It was an Australian Army officer on guard duty in
Erzgan Province who recalled spotting a giant going for a
leisurely stroll around the nearby compound. It was lanky, and

(23:27):
you wore unusual clothing. Now, when I say unusual clothing,
like most of the people in that area are usually
wearing like loose fitting, flowy, you know, sort of robe
ish looking things. From the description that he said, it
kind of looked like that animal hide in that or

(23:48):
that canvas. Again, so once again we're seeing another similarity
between the stories. The officer's estimation, the giant appeared to
be about eighteen hundred meters away and it wasn't in
any hurry, so once again, it's just walking around, no
big deal. Before it went out of my vision, the
officer recalled, the giant was anywhere between twelve and fourteen

(24:12):
feet tall according to the structures that it was around.
So it just, once again crazy, just looked like it
was walking around, no big deal. And I will say,
in like that area of Afghanistan, it's really wild because
it's kind of like where we were at. There's this
big city called taran Cott and there's this massive like

(24:34):
Mountain range kind of off to I want to say,
the west, so it's like really green and lush in
parts and then it gets like kind of desert y
and then high desert and it's really interesting in that
part of the country. It's really beautiful, if we're being honest.
But yeah, the Australians that we worked with there though,
I mean, that's kind of That was one of the

(24:55):
places I remember in particular, that we would be out
smoking and joking and somebody would bring that up. So okay,
I thought it was kind of interesting.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
You'd think you'd find like huts and stuff, unless they're
staying in caves.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I guess, well, I think.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
You'd find something like that's giant housing.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Right, Yeah, I don't. I don't know that that's the thing.
It's the same thing as Bigfoot for me with this, right, Like,
the stories are fine, the stories are cool, you know.
I do like the matter of fact nature of the military,
and honestly I'm probably being biased because of that, but
I logically, yes, you would have some sort of evidence,

(25:37):
whether it be bodies, whether it be structures, tools, you know,
like if these things are making fucking spears, where are
these like you know, ten foot pikes that these things
are you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Like a tree brand right sharpened? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah? Where are yeah? Where are all those at? So?
I don't know. It's it makes for an interesting story,
but I'm not super convinced on the if we're being
honest about some of these. You know, it's always funny
when you talk about the military stuff, and whenever you
talk about secret stuff, it's like, well, of course you
can't find anything. Oh don't they covered it up? It's like, right,

(26:19):
they take it all in now. Granted, don't get me wrong.
I understand that there are clandestine operations. I understand that
there are top secret programs. I understand there's information that
we are not privy to. All well and good. Most
of the things that I feel like we're not privy
to probably aren't that interesting. Like, if we're being honest,

(26:41):
you know, I don't think the I don't think the
you know, Kandahar Airfield was jam packed with giants' bodies
that the US government was you know, hauling off somewhere
to some other secret outposts to do studies on them
or whatever. You know, I don't think that was a
goal in Afghanist and for the US Army, but I

(27:02):
could be wrong. I was just a grunt, so I
wasn't privy to all the high speed.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, you'd think though that maybe the giants would fight
with the Afghans or something or unless it's like totally
but it's like you're in their country, if they live
there too, you'd think they would if they're working with humans.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Well, so I don't know that. That's kind of why
I wanted to get a little bit into like the
history and theology and then like mythical side of this,
because we do have stories throughout history of the prime example,
if you have listened to any of you know, Christian
teachings David and Goliath, there was a giant supposedly that

(27:49):
fought right with you know. Now, I don't think anybody
ever said, well, well, let's just get into it. So
the history like this, and I'm gonna probably take this
more from like a Christian theological perspective, because there's a
lot of like documentation of that. I'm sure you've heard

(28:13):
of the Nephelin, Yes, yeah, so apparently those are the
products of the sons of God mingling with the daughters
of Adam. They are the great biblical giants or the
followen ones, or there's a word that I've never heard
before and you might be able to help me out
with this, the referum.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Have you ever heard of that as like a person.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
No, it's more of like it's more of like a
title meaning the dead ones.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Okay, No, I'm not sure I'm familiar with them.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Well, I think it's kind of like it it's hard
to when you talk about the translation of these early
Biblical texts because you have words that we didn't have,
you have context that we didn't know. There's a lot
of like, well this kind of means this, this is
what we're gonna you know what I mean. So I
think that's one of those things because you have anything
from Nephilum to refroem, to the fallen ones to you

(29:09):
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Like I thought nephilm were like half well I guess
if they say the sons of God, but I thought
it was like half angel whatever.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, that's been like the fallen angels that came down
and slept with the women of earth and created these kids. Yeah,
created these beings called the Nephilum. Supposedly, now, these descriptions
are all applied to one group of characters found within
the Hebrew Bible. So they come from the heroes of

(29:39):
old or the men of renown. I don't know what
that really means. I'm assuming from that translation fallen angels,
you know, because like we kind of talked about coming
from like after the fall, these angels came down, slept
with these women, they had children. These are now what
we're seeing, these fiery headed, you know, giant people. So

(30:04):
there's a couple verses that kind of talk about this.
Genesis six one through four tells the reader that the
neph One, which means fallen ones, when translated into English,
where the product of the divine beings and human women,
like we've already talked about the nephil one are known
as great warriors and biblical giants and Ezekiel thirty two

(30:26):
to twenty seven and numbers thirteen thirty three. So you're
you're looking at something too that already has this like
one if if that is true otherworldly but these the
product of that are these like giant menacing. When you
hear warrior, like you think of like, you know, what's that.

(30:48):
What's that one movie with brab Troy when he comes
up and fights that dude, and the cut the guy
comes out in that first battle and he's just this massive,
big dude or like the giant from Game of Thrones,
you know what I mean. Like, that's what that's what
the thinking. So it was claimed that mating the sons
of God and the daughters of Adam were zalt in
the neph One. That is one of the reasons supposedly

(31:10):
that caused the flood or the reason for the flood
to happen. Oh wow, okay, so this implies makes sense. Well,
this implies that the nephi One might have had a
negative reputation at least in the eyes of God, or
it was kind of like something that wasn't supposed to happen.
So it was believe the next verse in Genesis six'

(31:35):
five is the introduction to the flood narrative and became their,
names and that's where they got their, names the Fallen.
Ones it is unlikely that this interpretation is correct because
In genesis sixty four presents nothing but praise for the Nephil.
One so once again we're seeing this weird contrast of
like oh they're, Awesome oh they're. Not oh they're. Bad,

(31:56):
oh they're, cool you know WHAT i. Mean like it's
hard to kind, of you, know pin down what exactly
is happening. Here So genesis, Six ezekiel thirty, two And numbers,
thirteen those are the only passages that actually reference the
net one by that. Term so where do we get
the names for the reflum or the dead. Ones the

(32:19):
first thing to recognize is that these are not two separate,
titles but rather a name refram meaning the dead. Ones
The bible refers to two groups of the ref, one
so the neft one and the ref one pretty much
they have achieved like both these things are like quasi divine,
status so products of fallen, angels and the second, one

(32:43):
like the nef, one kind of refers more to like
the biblical. Giants SO i don't think it's the same.
Thing when we're talking about, this it kind of sounds the,
same BUT i don't, know it's kind of convoluted in,
that especially like the first book or the first time
you read The, bible like you see this like and
this begot, this and this begot that and the you

(33:03):
know WHAT i, Mean like it gets like kind of
confusing really. Quickly so but the referum do appear In
Deuteromedy uh two eleven, three, Eleven samuel twenty one to,
nineteen And joshua eleven twenty two almost always take the
form of a member of the, Reform so that is

(33:27):
anybody Like Goliath ogg stuff like, that being in opposition
With israel and those sorts of. Battles that's that's kind
of where you get the referum coming, from is What i'm.
Saying so it's like The nephilim is like in the
beginning where they're kind of describing these, things and then
the referum is like the giants of The bible that
participate in these battles with. Humans, Right, Okay so it

(33:50):
kind of looks like The nephilum were the fallen, angels
and then the reforum were the product of the fallen
angels prograding with the women Of. Earth that's That's that's
kind of Where i'm getting for. That so, sorry that
was like a big roundabout way of getting. There BUT
i try to give as much context as possible because

(34:11):
it's like super in those readings THAT i kind of
comb through real, quick it's kind of not, CONSISTENT i
guess would be the best way to to kind of
say that what.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
It might be translation errors TO i think that's WHAT
i was about to.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
SAY i think IT'S i think it's a lot of translation.
ERRORS i think it's a lot of issues like, that where's?
That where's that great? Podcasting right? Here my, god, Well
i'm gonna have to edit this. Out my freaking notes
just took a shit on. Me god damn.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
It, okay that's, okay, real leieve it did.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Whatever i'm not leaving. It, okay here we. Go So
i'm gonna get to the actual account Of, goliath which
is probably one of the most, documented you, know giants
in The, bible so descriptions Of golias the mints status
is Among bible sources of various texts describing him as

(35:08):
anywhere between six feet nine inches or nine feet nine,
inches so kind of shorter than like what we've talked about,
already but still like a giant, dude you, know like
even if you saw somebody back then that was six,'
nine like if we see somebody now that's six nine,
is like, holy shit that, dude's tall, right yeah, you know,

(35:32):
right now if you add an extra three feet on
that dude It's like i'm not, trying to. You know
but according to, The text glias issued a challenge To,
the israelites daring them to send forth a champion to
engage him in. Single combat he was ultimately defeated by a.
Young shepherd david employed a sling shot or a sling
and stone as. His weapon so with the, biblical accounts

(35:56):
it's it's. One thing there is an interesting Thing about
golias that they talk about the brass. Sphere itself the
tip supposedly weighed fifteen pounds on, its end just the
tip of. The, spear yeah. That's crazy so in reference
to something that we would, maybe carry, like okay let's

(36:16):
harp back to like those m fours that those soldiers
were carrying at. The beginning those weigh probably about seven
or eight you KNOW what. I mean so this thing
obviously was massive that this gentleman. Was carrying and the
THING that i kind of think is funny About the
David and, goliath, STORY like i don't think it's like

(36:37):
the typical like because some people like, to, say oh,
it's oh it's just it's just a story about, you know,
you know the giant being slain by the underdog, or
whatever you KNOW what, i mean, like right that sort. Of,
THING no i there's too much like documented Stuff about
goliath for it to not be like there was obviously

(36:58):
like a great warrior that a fucking, huge dude and
he just happened to get got got by a kid
with a really good aim with. A rock, i mean
you hit anybody in the head with a rock really,
fucking hard you're gonna, go down.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Probably die, or, Concussions, please, YEAH yeah I mean i
wonder if some of it's from like when Humans and
neanderthals lipped kind of at the. Same time weren't they
bigger or like more VICIOUS or i, Don't, KNOW yeah
i think.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
THEY were i, don't know like, size comparison but they
were definitely more LIKE dense i guess would be a. Good,
work yeah, you know they they were more think about
like the differences between like chimps. And humans like chimps are,
incredibly strong chimps are, incredibly agile not as smart. As
us but if you went toe to toe with, a

(37:52):
chimp you're getting got. For sure it's ripping your arm
off and it's probably going to beat you, with, it
right so probably it. Very well. Could be the thing,
Is Too i've i've kind of dug into the rabbit
hole of like the whole like super. Ancient civilizations, you
know instead of going back like a few thousand years

(38:17):
maybe once the, flood happened, you know it wiped out
like a civilization of people that were already, you, know
thriving maybe not in the type of civilization that we,
have now but just different and with the differences in
like the way that the planet was. Back then, you
know the reason why a lot of these animals back

(38:39):
in prehistoric like dinosaurs and stuff, like that were so
much bigger is because oxygen was such a more abundant on.
The planet so you were getting bigger and bigger things
because you could support that sort of cardiovascular you know
process with that much more oxygen in. The air so
it Wouldn't be i'm not saying that there were giants running,

(39:00):
Around dinosaurs that's Not what. I'm saying, but, yeah right
a t rex into fucking battle that would. Be terrifying but,
you know there's always been GENETIC well i guess what
would be the mutations that happen within every species on,
This planet like we can Watch it we've talked about,

(39:22):
that paradactyl, you know sort of mutation that gives you an.
Extra digit there are people that currently live today and
have lived in the not so distant past that have
that gigantism that where they grow at an. Exponential rate
now obviously their body can't usually keep up with that
and they die, pretty young but these things. Do, exist

(39:46):
like it wouldn't be unthinkable to have somebody that fought in,
these BATTLES because, i mean you didn't really live that
long back, then anyway to have some giant dude that
was capable of throwing a, you know twenty, pounds spear,
you know one hundred yards or Whatever that i'm. JUST
kidding i don't think it was. That far but, but

(40:06):
yeah it's it's just one of, those, things like especially
Like the Day and, goliath thing it's so. LIKE documented
i think that it does have a lot of validity.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
To, it yeah, But yeah David, and goliath like, you
said he wasn't like twelve, Or fifteen he wasn't like
these other giants that we're, talking about because he was within.
HUMAN height i, feel, like.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Well yeah. That's true, but see that's the thing we're
going anywhere from seven feet to, nine feet so we're
still under what we're kind of talking, about here but
still a pretty. Massive, dude yeah there supposedly. Are two,
You know i'm sure everybody's, seen it like the dug
up remains of giants and stuff. Like that most, OF

(40:52):
that i feel like. IT'S fake i don't feel like
any of that. Is real i'm Not really, Once again
i'm gonna PREFACE like i did in, the beginning or
kind of towards. The beginning i'm not like super buying
this a. Whole lot but it is a. Fun story

(41:12):
it's fun stories to talk about the giants that supposedly
are in the Caves. Of afghanistan. Anywhere else there's other
stories of other places where you have giants and stuff.
Like THAT so i, Don't know i'm not, Too, Convinced
sarah but, you.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Know it's interesting that there's certain details that. Are shared,
FOR sure I guess i don't know if that's because
it's becoming an, urban legend like if it was so
many years later that they, just said yeah it was
redheaded still or six fingers.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Or, WHATEVER yeah, i mean it's one of those it's
one of those things where, it's like what about like
the same thing we see with like, gray aliens you
KNOW what? I, mean yeah the accounts are always. The
same is it because that's what people are actually seeing
or it's because that's what we've been conditioned, To, believe
yeah aliens look like?

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Or everything you KNOW what? I?

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Mean yeah, yeah SO or i. Don't. Know, yeah well
and supposedly, the interview the first story we talked about
about the soldiers that went in and one of them
was killed by this giant the Gentleman. Mister kay he
didn't talk about it TILL like i want, to say
it was like.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Twenty, SIXTEEN yeah i feel like that's something you hide for,
A while like that's always. WHAT happens i feel like you,
see something especially if you're in, the military you don't
want to, be ridiculed and you just. Hide IT and
i guess if you had to DO the nda. Or.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Whatever yeah so the only thing that kind of like
dissuades me from that idea that that we have this
like the storytelling is what like culturally like we have
in our head of what these are is you had
multiple reports of the same thing before this guy like talked, about,
it right so that's about the ONLY thing i have

(42:55):
that has a little bit of validity. To it i'll
be real honest. WITH you i never. SAW anything i
never saw any Giants. IN afghanistan i saw some, wild
SHIT but i never.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Saw giants you saw, other stuff, but yeah maybe a.
Different STORY but i always looking at, you know that,
tall guy like the tallest man or whatever that was
like super tall in like the seventies. OR something i
was looking. Him up how tall?

Speaker 1 (43:16):
He was how tall?

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Was? He ever he was eight feet and eleven point.
One inches, so, YES yeah I don't Robert, WILD wildlow,
i guess but he. Was human but he's the tallest,
RECORDED person. I guess i don't know what year.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
That was, Well, Eighteen okay well it's kind of it's
kind Of what i'm talking, About, though, LIKE yeah, I mean,
I'M okay i know who you're. Talking about i've seen this. Guy, before, yeah,
Right yeah so it's it's it's not uncommon for that. To,
happen okay it's not like the most, common thing but

(43:53):
it happens relatively not it's a mutation that occurs in. Human,
beings okay just the same thing as any sort of
dwarfism or anything. Like that it's it's not a, common
thing but it does happen periodically throughout. Human, beings now
if you were back in a day where we didn't

(44:13):
have a society like we, do now and it's, very
tribal that dude's, in Charge Like robert wadlow is in
charge of whatever tribe he. Is in he is probably
a fantastic warrior because, he can, you know punch people
from eight feet away with his super. Long arms he

(44:35):
can probably hold a spear that weighs three times as
much as any. Other one like he's going to be. In,
charge man he kind of looks like a nerdy guy
compared to, you know our standards. Right NOW but i
guarantee you put a freaking animal hide on that dude
and give him a big ass. Sword shield yeah shield
that's the size of a, normal, Person, RIGHT yeah i.

(44:57):
Just bash i'm not mess, with them. You, KNOW so i.
DON'T know i think it's one of those things where
the translation stuff like that throughout history has kind of
got convoluted a, little bit kind of muddied in the
water of what actually. Has happened BUT then i also
think there are things that were not privy to in,

(45:18):
this world and there possibly could, be redheaded insane giants hiding,
in CAVES Eating us army soldiers and spearing them when
they come out and about it's.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Too, close yeah when they get to. Their, TERRITORY yeah,
i mean. Why, not yeah if these caves are big,
enough too they.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Definitely.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
Are yeah so maybe That's The federal cave people IN the.
Us too they're. JUST giants i don't think they're reported as,
being giant but IN.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
The us maybe they don't have the growth hormone over
here In The. United states, you know they're stunted by
all the plastic in the.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
Water maybe, and radiation shouldn't, It, maybe yeah something something all, the, Fluoride,
right yeah there.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
YOU go i was, GONNA say i was trying to
think of what. That, was well it's in the, water floride, Thank.
You sarah the fluoride in, the waters making, them small
making the feral. People. Small yeah, All right well that's
ABOUT all i got for The. Giants AFGHANISTAN like, i
said super, interesting story super. Fun stories don't think, it's
true but they're fun to. Talk.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
About, yeah, okay.
