(00:00):
I am writing a book and I'm taking you along my journey.
Hi, I am a pleasure lit Patriciaand I've set myself a challenge.
I am writing a book in 30 days. I'm not going to publish it in
30 days, but I'm going to write my first draft in 30 days.
Well, at least this is a challenge I have set myself.
(00:23):
I have been wanting to write a book for many years.
It has been in the back there and I've always thought one day
I will get to it, one day it will be the time and the time
has come. I'm going to give you a little
bit of an background of where I'm coming from, what I'm doing,
what is this book going to be about and how did I get started?
(00:46):
So first of all, I'm going to self publish because when you
publish a book or when you writea book and you want to publish
it, you're going to have to think about how are you going to
get it out there? And instead of going the
traditional publishing way whereyou're going to have to find an
agency, a publisher who's going to want to publish your book,
(01:09):
I'm going to do it my own. And that is pretty much how I
like to get things done anyway. I'm pretty good in doing it
myself. So it's going to be
self-publishing. And even within self-publishing,
there are services who you can use to publish your book.
So they're basically you're kindof self-publishing, but they're
(01:32):
actually doing the publishing for you by putting in the
self-publishing. And those services you're gonna
obviously have to pay. And then they look after finding
your editors, your cover designers, the formatting, they
can give you coaching calls, they can help you with blockages
in your writing. They're going to give you all
the basics, how to publish, how to market.
(01:53):
And they help you and support you in that.
And then you basically pay them either monthly upfront costs or
commissions really depending on the service to help yourself
publish. However, I'm going to really do
the self-publishing way. Or indie.
Is it called indie writer or indie publisher?
They call that now I have to look that up.
(02:14):
Meaning I'm going to do almost everything myself.
Currently writing my first draft.
What I will need professionally done though is an editor.
So my first language is German. I'm actually chairman.
I come to Australia in 2009 as abackpack car and have made
(02:36):
Australia my home now. So you can hear that little bit
of an accent going on. And even though I I can speak
pretty fluent English, I do needsomeone to look over my writing.
So I'm going to need a professional editor.
I'm going to need a professionalformat editor who can actually
format it into a soft cover bookand into a Kindle or ebook
(02:58):
version. And then I'm going to also need
someone who profession designs my cover.
I've already kind of designed myown cover because it's really
really motivating and love that. Can't wait.
But I do need someone to get a professionally done so it does
look my pleasure. Lit topic of my book.
(03:18):
Can you guess it? It will be about pleasure.
It will be about helping you to unlock, widen, and deepen your
pleasure potential. 30 days to write my book.
Before I sat down to write it, Itook a weekend to just set the
(03:40):
outline of my book. I had this vision of my book for
many years, but finally it just came to me of what exactly do I
want to write? What exactly do I want to help
you with and how do I want to guide you through this journey?
So I've written my book outline.I've found a title, subtitle,
(04:01):
and I've given my chapters and sub chapters names and I've
created this framework. And even just looking at that
outline was this, this is going to happen.
It is really happening. And then day number one of the
challenge, I sat down and I started writing.
We are now 10 days into my 30 days, I'm writing a book
(04:25):
challenge. I've written I believe it was
over 16,800 words. I'm way over 1/4 of this book is
done. It just those, it just pours out
of me. I know exactly what I want to
birth into this world. It's going to be pleasure lit.
(04:49):
So since the first day I am writing every single day except
for the Sunday On the 1st week. I have written I think a couple
words, a few words here and there, but then actually took a
little break because I had a huge week.
The first week and the first chapters were probably the most
(05:10):
confronting ones because in the first introductory part I am
giving you a little glimpse of my past because who am I that I
am writing this book to help youunlock your most pleasurable
life. I have made that transformation.
I have been that young woman that didn't love herself with
(05:33):
low self esteem. Most of people plays out who are
saying yes to the things she wanted to say no to, who
couldn't speak up, who couldn't set healthy boundaries, who was
not experiencing pleasure, who was not living in her body to
becoming the most pleasure LED woman there is fully embodied,
(05:54):
experiencing pleasure on the daily and really unlocking and
widening and expanding it into the world.
Spreading pleasure into the world.
I have found my passion, my truecalling and I am in love deeply
with myself and the universe. Meaning I am sharing parts with
(06:15):
you that are raw, vulnerable, personal and deep from my past.
Giving you examples of where I have come from and how low and
without pleasure my life was to making this transformation.
Giving you all the tips, everything that I have
experienced, what has helped me,but also what I've studied
(06:39):
personal self development. So combining it all, I have made
that huge transformation. So that first week was was
confronting, let's put it that way.
And on Sunday I had a massive energetic release, which means a
really, really big cry. A really big, massive cry
(07:01):
because writing this book, writing it all down and being
able to actually share that withthe world, that is a part of
being witnessed and working through it on a whole different
level. And what comes to surface and
what you're working through is something that you can let go
(07:22):
of. So on Sunday, I had this big,
massive crying release. I had these salty tears running
down my face and I embodied and felt them.
And I was able to let go of whatno longer serves me.
This book is infused with pleasure and with real raw,
(07:43):
honest stories of my life as well.
So I think you can hear how passionate I am about this book
and I am going to take you alongthis journey.
So it has been the 1st 10 days which has been huge, amazing
lofted, especially the energeticrelease.
It all belongs together, it is all connected.
(08:06):
I'm feeling so much better since, and now I'm in the part
of the book where I'm providing a lot of pleasure lit practices
that you can implement straight away to transform your life, to
make it more pleasurable. So I'm fusing so much pleasure
into it and it's just all comingvery deliciously together.
(08:27):
And let me tell you, even thoughI'm writing this book for you,
I'm also writing it for myself. Life is going to happen.
There will be challenges coming my way too.
And then I can refer back to my own advice, to my own book and
my own practices, reminding myself of how I can infuse more
pleasure into my life. So excited.
(08:49):
If you've got any questions to my 30 days, I'm writing a book
challenge, or to my whole book writing journey, feel free to
reach out to me to ask your questions and within the next
update, I can answer them for you.
So the plan from here on forwards is that I'm going to
continue to write every single day to finish the first draft
(09:12):
within the 30 days doesn't mean I'm going to release it in 30
days. It just means the first draft is
done, which is usually the hardest part of writing a book
to actually get the first draft done.
Then I'm going to self edit it. We're going chapter by chapter.
I'm going to self edit and once I've self edit it and I'm happy
(09:32):
with that, it goes to the professional editor.
Then it's going to be formatting, editing.
I'm going to have a cover designer doing the cover and
then I'm going to launch my book.
I can't wait for you to have it in your hands, reading it and
helping you transform your life into your most pleasure lit one
(09:53):
days. Thank you for tuning into this
episode. Until next time, with love and
pleasure.
