We are here.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
My name is Mandy mag.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
And I am Chris Rivers and Happy New Year.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
New Year. We missed you, Yes we did.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
We've been working so hard. I've been trying to.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Break book who takes a break, you.

Know, right in the pool industry. But we are for
season four, so many new things coming up.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yes right, I just couldn't believe that we've been We're
on season four. So it's been three whole years of wonderful,
yest episodes pretty much every Thursday.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, and we've learned so much that has changed our lives.
I know it's changed my life is and I just
can't wait to see us learn more and watch the
pole industry change.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah. Same right.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I just like even more inspired in the pole industry.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yea, and hope everyone else is too.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Because it's been awesome to hear everyone's journey.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yes, I'm even inspired to start competing again this year.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Not till the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Uh yeah, maybe be a little bit sooner. We'll see
expensive that's true.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Speaking of expensive and poll competitions, do something that is
not expensive, and it's not a poll competition, and it's
our upcoming virtual pulled in showcase. And we've done so
many poll showcases in the past. We're super excited to

(02:02):
do our first one of twenty twenty five. So holds
routines ready. That is April third.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Are we doing a theme this year?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
After April Fools Day?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
So I was gonna say Spring Love, but after April.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Spring and Fools.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I can't. I don't know Spring equinox.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, those are some good themes, of course. Don't let
the theme hold you back. The only that it needs
to have his poll and.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
We just want to share you and that is going
to be Thursday, April third, So your videos will be
due on Thursday April thirteen, I mean March thirteenth.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Sorry, write a little bit before so that we can
narrate them.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yes, there's three videos. Do yay?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
So excited me too?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
That would be fun. I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
That's all the way in April. So what do we
do till then?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Oh? Beautiful episode? So many interviews, so many episodes come
in your way. A lot of good.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Stuff, is right, We have a lot of new episodes
come in, not just wonderful interviews. Whill we have pull
dance topics, and we're also looking for your advice as
to what to pull dance topics we should talk about
as well. And also maybe you want to come and
talk about a pull dance topic with us.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Let us know.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
We are excited to start this in twenty twenty five
have guests speakers on various topics that they want to
talk about. Yes, so if you've already shared an interview,
maybe you want to do a quick recap and then
talk about something else. This is not to promote yourself,

(04:10):
although we have offers if you want to promote yourself,
we have sponsorships. This is talk about to talk about
specific poll topics to help the Pole community, poll entrepreneurs
and things like this. I mean, we'd love for you
to talk about yourself, but it is not.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
A promo session, right, Like you have wonderful free resources
just from you know, people sharing their stories, and in
sharing their stories, you might have a little bit of advertising,
but please don't hijack our episode.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Us.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
You wanted to a sponsorship and we have some sponsorships available. Yeah,
it was like three months.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
About oh, I mean up to them a month, two months,
three months were continuous and we could either do it
where we advertise for them every episode that airs or
every episode that airs, and on our social media and
et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Right, and we will have all the numbers as to
how much reach our podcast gets.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
And as you know, we've been out for years.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
And I already have the numbers.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
We will share those with you and discuss sponsorship packages
that work for you and your product that relates.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
To our mission.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Yes, we would love to promote you and of course
get sponsored.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yes, right, because we do this out of our love
of our.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Hearts and we want to be able to keep doing
this for years. We are excited to share so much
more with y'all and go on tour.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yes right.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Laughing about it in the past millions of interviews, we're like, haha,
we were going to go on tour, but like, we
should really.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Go on tour.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
So guess what, everyone, We're going on tour in twenty
twenty five. In June we will be in New York, Massachusetts,
and Rhode Island. And in July we will be in Connecticut,
New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
And almost knocked on my wife so many friends.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Write more and we'll be posted about that So if
you're in any of those states and you want to
host us for workshops, we'll have our beautiful workshop menu
available for you to peruse, and then you can book
us when we're in your town.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yes, and we want to do tours, most importantly interviews.
Maybe see your students do tours or your studio and
share it on YouTube and podcast the case here, right.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Like, it's always fun to do the studio tours via zoom,
but to do them live would be a tripe.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
And we're going to make that happen. Even if we
only get only two places, I'll be excited.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yes, that's it.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
The goal is two places, so that seems totally doable.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yes, I forgot the July one, but okay, good to
know I wrote it down. No, I knew about Jude,
but I forgot July two.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yes, right, well, we'll make it work.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yes we will. It's gonna be awesome. I don't have
much going on in July except yeah, subduction showdown.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Oh yeah, do you want to talk a little bit
about some of the things coming soon for you?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah? After we talk about pulling the cost was huh
uh No, I mean, weren't we going to announce the
episodes that are coming up.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Oh yeah, we could do that too.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
So I know, I'm super excited because we have reached
we have we put a post on social media and
based and looked for pull the answers that you all
want to see, and we are going to reach out
to them. I have the list, it's just how they season,
and I'm reaching out this week because why not New
Year's New Year's And quite honestly, we're backed up with

(08:48):
interviews until like March.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Super blessed with people reaching out to us willing to
share their stories. So thank you for the brilliant response.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yes, and we're excited to share more from the trans
and BIPOC communities and disabled communities that are so important
to us that we share all stories. And some of
y'all have voiced opinions and we think it's abortant and
we agree, Yeah for.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Sure, and thank you so much for sharing.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Again, like Chris said, the names and Instagram so we
can reach out.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
But if you would.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Also like to reach out, you can hit us up
in the DMS and we will hit you back up
within a week.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Ge awesome. I'm excited though, like we're changing a lot
of our systems and automating a lot of stuff, so
it should be fun. Yes, it is time. And what
else we got going on? So the showcase which I'm
excited for. Oh, the second annual super Pole which is

(09:59):
going to during this showcase.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah, that's April third, and that is poll advertisement.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
So if you this one, I think we're charging.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Right, Yes we should this one.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
We are.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
It won't be expensive. But last time we did it,
people mentioned, wow, this is like a good way to
like get promos, especially on your platform, So you should charge.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
So you guys want to and we were like, oh, so,
thank you. And we have been trying to monetize, so
that is one of the ways that we are hoping
to monetize.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yes, how much are we thinking about charging?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Question?

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Maybe we'll leave it as a sliding scale.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Sliding scale sounds fun. I think that whatever they think
is yeah, I can do that because every business is different.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, for sure. We just want to make sure that
everyone has a voice whole business capitalism.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yes, we're not going to ask for like your tax
forms and stuff. I mean we will, we will. I'm
down for a sliding scale and trust in all that and.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Know that you're the money is going to you know,
pay you know, the two of us for what we're
doing to keep these resources out. Yes, takes us time
out of our day to put together podcasts and to
contact everyone and and you know we love doing it.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
But so yes, that will be in the middle of
the April showcase, so it will be like halftime.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
So if you have.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Even if you don't have a pole business, or if
you just want to like promote something that you've done
or like your online classes or something like that, you
can put together a commercial for the super Pole.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Yes, so we would love that. You don't have to
be a big pole business. You can just be a teacher,
maybe traveling workshops or maybe want to promote something at
your studio to students traveling. Yes, yay, Oh goodness, what
else do we got going on? So many things? Yes,

(12:29):
we have interviews with Goodness Fantastic.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Polar, Fancastic Polar next week.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, next week, that's our first one. I'm excited for that.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Workshops at Pole in the Wall.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yes, that's exciting. January nineteenth.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
I've sold out in studio, but there's still spots available online.
So if you're hearing this and you want to take
Workshops with a Fantastic polar via Pole in the Wall
on January nineteenth.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Uh go sign up.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Yeah, I got to get one. I got to get
me one of those online tickets. I wanted to go
in person, but I'll be happy online too.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
We were really fast.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Yeah, I'm so glad to hear that. That's awesome goodness.
I meant to pull up the list with everybody we
have coming up right, I have it, but it's.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Not in order, so I'm just gonna read.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
We had we have an interview with Amanda Morgan, US
pole champion and pole theater champion.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
And Amandolin Morrigan. She was amazing.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
I remember in her interview she has a Christmas tree
in her background, so it comes out she doesn't still
have her Christmas tree out.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Maybe she does, we don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
We went over her pole competition survival guide and tips.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yeah, she was awesome with all of the tips. It's
great to learn from a pro.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yes. And then we had I Believe.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Michelle right oh from Elevated Ariel Yes, Laura, yeah, and
she was also part of Misfit Aerial, which is run
by Zoe Bentley, who we also interviewed.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
We did oh, MG so many people.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And missfit Aerial was really cool because it is like
a mall for aeriels.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Yes, I love it. And we learned some new ways
to run studios and stuff. It's been interesting, like so
we're always learning so many new studio setups and starts.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Fascinating, right, Yeah, and then we also talked with Laura
Lauren so many Laura Lauren Lauren of sky High Fitness
who talked to us about some best practices for studio
owners and also for poll teachers, which was really helpful,

(14:59):
wonderful and information. And that is a two parter, so
that one's coming out pretty soon in two parts.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
That's one of our first topic with the guest host.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
You definitely want to get a notebook ready for that one.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Because actually that's not our first. I think, wasn't Danny
Atkins or Sallas our first last year, and that we
said we love this so much, we want to do
it more this.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Year, so we do more.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Sorry blast from the past.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Forgot about guest hosts. That was really fun.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, that's why we wanted to do it more this year. Awesome,
cool beans. What else do we have going on? Do
we have another showcase? We haven't decided yet, right, I
think we should like to say that year one. Yeah.
I love how this recap is all hashing things out
to where they could just see it.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Like I'm not still not done reading. Who were interviewing.
We had Michelle Stanik.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Yes, I knew there was a Michelle too, Michelle. That
was awesome.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Oh my god, it was my teacher. Yes, I remember
that elevating the craft of teaching.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I learned a lot from that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Right, It's an excellent resource for teachers. And I mentioned
I was going to have all of my teacher trainees
watch that episode in particular because it had so much information.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
It was a very good one. I enjoyed that a lot. Then, Gee,
so many good episodes and more to come. We have
a lot of people that just signed up that schedule.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
I won't say them because their interviews don't exist yet,
but they.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Are on the books and we have a lot. Like
I said, again, we are booked up till March, but
in my which our schedule is opening again. I think
we have a couple of days open, but those are
for some of the people that we hopefully for some
of the people that were requested online if they can
get back to us.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah, take a break for the summer.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yes, we're taking a break from interviews when June.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
And July during our tour.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yep. But we're also not doing interviews like all the
time like we used to.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Yeah, we're gonna only do interviews. I have written here
December through February and then May through June.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
So that's.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
You won't have any interviews in March, May through June.
Sounds fun, okay, So.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Our current interview season is almost closed, and then we'll
open it up again in May and closely and then
for the remainder of the year we'll get you guys
super excited for our next showcase.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
I think we're opening up interviews one more time, like
in September, but not being crazy.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Right, Maybe we'll see how it goes.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Because during our tour we were hoping also to interview
many pulled into so we might be releasing those.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
And we both have so many things going on outside.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Have we reached that point?

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I think? So? I'm thinking about everything we mentioned, sponsorships,
we mentioned other things. Do we still have our accessories
Cafe press on the club.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
So a lot of our students were asking about that too.
And it was really bizarre to me our halfa press
was shut down and there was no more instance of it,
and also I was no longer able to recreate it.
So the other day I was thinking about it again,
and I wonder if it was because of our content,

(19:17):
that would be interesting, right, I never I didn't think
about it until a little while ago, but because it
was like, why would it be gone? But anyway, long
story short, we do not have any more apparel, but
coming soon.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yes, coming soon, indeed, alrighty, So we'll definitely be doing
another one of these episodes because we like doing these episodes.
We have talked your ear out. I hope you've enjoyed
us talking about it and hashing it out. Goodness. We
all also have our own personal things come in which

(19:55):
I guess we could talk about. Because this is our podcast,
Why the hell not people like to learn about us too?
What do you have coming up for me?

Speaker 3 (20:08):
The first part of the year, I'm a little tied
up at the studio because after listening to everyone's interviews, pole,
studio owners and everything, I realized I needed to provide
some sort of longevity for the studio, and that meant
training new teachers so I've been devising a teacher training

(20:31):
program with the help of Chris and another teacher who
actually you'll be hearing from soon in an interview coming soon,
Molly Selleck, also known as Lady Bird Vixen. But we're
doing a teacher training program at poll on the Wall
and that's going to take up pretty much all my
time until May. I got my first touring date from PSO,

(20:57):
and I'll be at PSO Atlantic this year, so I'll
see everyone there.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I'm super excited. I'll be your drug and then.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Yeah, I'm training for PSO Northeast at the end of
the year. Hopefully my body will let me.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yeah, that's it. That's all my plans.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Not hopefully it will. Even if you got to change
it up, it will.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
What about you, Chris, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
I have a lot coming up. I don't know why
I always fill up my time. I guess because I
love it. But I am excited. In January it's the
thirty day Free Built Your Coreo challenge, which I am
super excited for. That has been such a fun experience.
Thirty days of email lessons of me helping you build

(21:59):
your own choreo for free while showing you myself built
my PSO piece and maybe US Pole Champions depending on finances.
But I'm excited to tell that story. It is going
to be a story of addiction. Yeah, and I'm going

(22:19):
to take everything I learned from this podcast. But anyway,
that's the thirty Day Freak Builder Pole Corio Challenge. And
then I'm traveling for personal workshops. I have one already
scheduled in Full Circle Brooklyn, which I'm excited for in March,
and then I'm talking to other studios. We will see

(22:40):
what happens. I know I have some fun workshops coming.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
At Poe in the Wall New Moon Intention Workshop February
twenty seventh, which we will be.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Doing a fun little meditation and journaling in tarra of
manifestation and and then a flow of reaching and opening
and manifestation and then some more reflection is yes. And
then in March a Full Moon workshop with glow Sticks,
which I'm excited for I really want to kind of

(23:14):
do after talking to Michelle, like I was like I
knew I had to do it, like little kind of
fun things like that community yay. And then in February
is also Motion Mechanics Lab revamp I've reached out to
a couple instructors and I'm hoping to get them on
this online schedule so they can teach from home and

(23:37):
you can take classes with them for wherever you are.
I'm excited for that, hopefully give instructors from around the
area opportunities to teach online if they don't have that
at their studio or stuff. Then we have the Pull
on the Wall Showcase, which I didn't plan anything. Pull
on the Showcase, which I didn't plan anything. And then

(23:59):
I'm doing my Pull Up Challenge again in May, which
I can't wait for. Last year was thirty days and
it helped a lot of people, which I was so
happy for. But this year we're going to change it
twenty one days, a little bit faster and I can't
wait to help more people. Then in June and July
we have the Pull on the Call Tour. July is

(24:19):
also my first competition virtual competition, the Seduction Showdown. It's
an all inclusive virtual stripping competition open to the whole
LGBT community and of course heterosexuals as well anybody who
wants to strip, and it is going to be a

(24:40):
cash prizes. There will be an entrance fee of course,
to help pay for the cash prize. Then for the work.
It is not going to be steep because I want
to make it accessible. It's going to be fun. It's
gonna be a way for you to just kind of
submit a video and then you're done. It will not
done anything to watch it and promote it and have

(25:00):
other people pay and watch it. It's gonna be a
good time. I can't wait. Then in August I left open.
September I left open, and I know I hope. So
October is my second competition, Poe of Horrors, and I'm

(25:24):
super excited for this one. I don't know if I'm
more excited for the Seduction Showcase because I love stripping
or this one because I love horror and I know
Pole Theater does an amazing job with getting different stories,
but I really want the focus to be horror like
blood gores, vampire zombies, witchy stuff like monsters like think Dragula,

(25:48):
but for Pole dance performances.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
And it's virtual too, so you can go all out.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Yes I would. I wanted to do like a live thing,
but I mean it's very hard to do that and
like an area because you need to clean up, pay
people to clean it up. It needs to be fast
clean up. So it's gonna be virtual. Yeah, exactly, So
have fun with it. Tell your horror story. You have

(26:18):
god like ten months to prepare for that one and
six months to prepare for the stripper one. The stripper
one like almost not almost anything, like, don't be having
sexist on camera. But I mean you don't need pasties.
You can wear pasties, you can take off your painties like.
It is an all inclusive stripper competition. That is the point. Yeah,

(26:39):
I am excited. And then of course November. Yeah, so
December the second annual Pole Dancing down and that's it. Yay,
I can't. I like a big the personality I always
got to be going on. And don't forget, I'm still
in school for my bachelor's for engineering. I'm like, while

(26:59):
the fuck do I do this? Release?

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Well, you did leave yourself a few months, and I
think those will be adequate breaks.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yes, I agree, thanks, Yes, that was a big thing
for me, taking breaks.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Yeah, you got this.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
I just want to bring fun in different things to
the pole community. I think a virtual stripping competition would
be fun and different, all inclusive. Everybody and a horror
post show like, oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Right, I was just thinking how cool it was that
its virtual, because then you could really do like whatever
you wanted, because a lot of venues do have rules
against yes, yes, even fog, Like one time we tried
to put fog in something and they were like no, yes.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
And I want you to have fun with these competitions,
like you can do a full straight off choreo if
you like, or like an edited and I think I'll
separate it just to make it like fair. I don't
want to, but we'll see, but or make it a
full like edited video with pole dance and a horror theme.
I mean, if you have you know, what is it
called b film in between? We are not on the

(28:12):
pole I'm okay with.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
That as long as it's poll somewhere in this film
and you're on it, you are using it.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yes, I don't know. I'm excited about it. Yes, I
can already think of a horror scene.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Back there, right, all of like the shrouds I have
back here.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Oh no, I'm not saying it looks like a ror see,
but I can't already think of what I could do. Yes, yeah,
well I'm excited. And I think cash prizes is fun too,
because not a lot of competitions offer the cash prize.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I know Scarlett Inferno and talk to me about some
competitions that she had done and they had cash prizes
and it was based on like the amount of people
that entered and also got tips, and I thought.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
That was awesome. That's one of my goals to set
up a way for them to get tips. Maybe add
I don't know, like a QR code at the bottom
of their video at the intro and extro so they can, hey,
here's their cash app tip them or something.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
That would be great, like why the hell not? Yeah, Oh,
you can make like a program book of all the performers.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Yes, And I wanted to make it like viewer vote,
viewer votes, like they there's gonna be ten minutes at
the end of it of just like ads and just
randomness why they vote.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
I love it. Ten minutes of this random.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Video of me eating because I want to get I
want to get on that only fans paige to watch,
pay me to watch me least.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Yes, it's going.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
To be awesome. I am excited for twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (30:20):

and in July we're hoping to be in Connecticut, New
Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yes, I was hoping. Here's the planning.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Yes, yes, that's good.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yes, yes, you're too funny. Yes, yes, I love it.
We are manifesting everything.

to advertise your product.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yes, we get every week a few hundred listens and
views on YouTube and the podcast on social media. Yeah,
this last month, I'm not going to go by it
because we took.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
You like.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
You'll give us your advertisement, We'll put it on our
podcast and it will be there forever, so it'll just
be replayed every time anyone listens or watches that that podcast.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
So it's I know, we get rewatched. I like, I
hate how I am. I track it all the time
and I'm like, wow, this is like from season one
and they're rewatching it now three four years later.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Yeah right, you'll be surprised. It'll be like no one
has seen it, and then all of a sudden it's like, oh,
but thank you for watching, but yes, it is hard
to be seen.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Here too. Funny a long way like from season one
where we were like only like a couple of views
and listens a week, like now we are like hundreds, right, yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Right, and like just a friendly reminder we are not
We're just researchers. We're not like professionals on any topic.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Yeah, but I think what it's the stories, like the stories.
It's I read the comments all the time, and it's
the stories we share what people learn. Yeah, and I
love it.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
It's definitely helped me throughout my pole journey and giving
me inspiration as.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
I get older.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Fact, look at us, we were on a tangent again.
Now we're going.

episode of Poul on The Call podcast.

you this pole history, which we got to do an
updated video of.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
