Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, look at here.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You are listening to someone who is bold, authentic, diverse, unpredictable. Baby,
I am unapologetically ramon, and you have entered my zone,
the QB zone. Baby, Hello, somebody rock. You know, I

(00:53):
want us to do better with self care, and I
want us to really get into our strength and just
realizing just how important these things are. Right, So come in,
come in and come in and listen. I'm thankful for
you guys for coming down to the key zone, of course.
But self care, that's what I want to talk about.

(01:13):
Day short, sweet until the point. Let's get into it. Okay,
When it comes to the hustle and bustle of our
daily lives, you know, it's easy to overlook the most
crucial aspect of our well being, self care, mastering graceful
self care. It's not just about bubble baths and face masks.

(01:37):
It's a deeper journey towards understanding, nurturing, and embracing your
true self. It's about unlocking the key to unveiling your
inner strength. Are you ready to embark on this transformative path?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I think we are. I think we need to. Let's
see what's going on.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
So the first thing I want to mention is embracing mindfulness.
Embracing mindfulness is the cornerstone of graceful self care. Being
present in the moment, acknowledging your thoughts and feelings without
judgment can elevate your self care routine. Start with simple

(02:19):
practices like mindful breathing or mindful walking to bring focus
and calm to your mind. We want to work on
settings and boundaries. Okay, setting boundaries is an act of
self respect. Learners say no to commitments that drain your
energy and yes to activities.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
That nurture your well being.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Boundaries protect your precious time and mental space, allowing you
to prioritize what truly matters. We also want to make
sure that when we're doing self care, we're nurturing our
body and our soul.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
So physical well being is important.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Caring for your physical health is a vital component of
graceful self care. Prioritize regular exercise, nourishing meals, and sufficient
rest to nurture your body. Remember, a healthy body pays
the way for a healthy mind and soul. And while

(03:29):
we are once again nurtured our body and soul and
doing physical well being, let's try to cultivate some joy.
This is one of the top things I work on
for my own self. Cultivating joy in your daily life
is a powerful form of self care. Engaging in activities

(03:49):
that bring you happiness, whether it's painting, dancing, spending time
in nature, listening to music, exercising, whatever it is. Joy
is a potent elixir that rejuvenat your spirit and fuels
your inner strength. Now, when we're fueling our inner strength,

(04:13):
let's talk about some ways of actually unveiling our inner strength.
And I think the first thing is practicing gratitude. Gratitude
is a transformative practice that unveils your inner strength.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Actually take a moment.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Each day to reflect on the things that you're grateful for.
Gratitude shifts your perspective, fosters resilience, and deepenings.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Your connection to the world around you.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I can definitely say me being someone who and I've
talked about this in other episodes, you know, dealing with depression, anxiety,
different traumas and issues in life. When I starting to
practice just a sense of gratitude and literally verbally saying

(05:08):
it to God, like just staying out loud what I
am grateful for, whether whether I'm talking to God, whether
I'm talking to myself whatever, or even if you're having
a conversation with a friend and loved one on somebody.
When you I feel verbally experienced the things you're grateful for,

(05:29):
it does something, and it really, it really really does work.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Even if it's something I don't have to do anything major.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
I mean, heck, in the days, in the day's society, hell,
making it back home can be something that you express
gratif to for you waking up and having a job
to go to, you wreaking up and having a car outside,
you're waking up and having options of what you want
to eat for today. All those things can be something
that you're grateful for. It don't necessarily be something major.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
You know, and so I can guarantee you.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Telling you from experience, it does actually do a shift
when you're expressing gratitude daily and another thing I want
you to do, another thing I want us to do.
Embracing vulnerability. Embracing vulnerability is a profound act of self care.

(06:22):
Allow yourself to be authentic, imperfect, and vulnerable. It is
in your vulnerability. It is in our vulnerability that we
find our true strength and resilience. Embrace your vulnerabilities as
a source of power, not weakness. And if there is

(06:44):
anybody in your life that makes you feel less thand
or makes you feel anything but positive and good things
about your vulnerability, baby, that ain't who you need to
be around. That ain't who you need to be interacting with.
That's not who you need to be sharing energy of
space with. Just remember that vulnerabilities is a source of power,

(07:08):
It's not a weakness.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
When we are.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Mastering graceful self care, it is definitely a transformative journey
that unveils the depths of your inner strength and resilience.
It is a path of self discovery, self compassion, and
self love. By embracing mindfulness, setting boundaries, nurturing your body

(07:36):
and soul, and unveiling your inner strength, you embark on
a profound quest towards holistic well being. Are we ready
to unlock to keep to our inner strength through the
art of some graceful self care? I want us to
start our journey today because our inner strength aways and

(07:58):
I know we can do it. Can do it, So
once again, we about to get up out of here.
But you ain't gonna know well without give you a quote.
So here it is on the days that you don't
feel strong enough to leave. It's okay to take baby steps.
Be proud of any progress, no matter how big or

(08:22):
how small,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
