Speaker 2 (02:27):
Here we are The RCWR Show with Lea Saers. Hey, guys,
what's going on? LEEH. Sanders with you all on this
Friday night, November fourteenth, twenty twenty five. You guys are
checking out a special Friday night edition of the RCWR Show. Yeah, next,
(02:48):
what is this? Are we going to do this? Maybe
the next couple of Fridays. I think that might be
the plan. I don't know just yet. I know one
thing is for certain, and that is Friday, November twenty first.
So yeah, we definitely are gonna be on next Friday.
For very good reason. Case you haven't seen the social
(03:09):
media posts out there, we got the fourteenth anniversary show
that's gonna be coming up again Friday night, November twenty first.
We'll be starting it at eight pm Eastern. We'll be
hanging out for a couple of hours, so we'll definitely
be on during SmackDown celebrating fourteen years of the RCWR
(03:31):
show with Lee Sanders. So if you are gonna be around,
wanna pop up and say happy anniversary and all that,
You'll definitely be able to do. So I'm toying around
with the idea of a phone line being open. I
think what's gonna end up happening is if I do
(03:52):
decide we're going to do a phone line, I think
I'm gonna have Tams be the screener and seeing who's
trying to call, and then I have a system already
in place where she'll be able to tell me, Hey,
this person's calling in. You want them patched into the show,
(04:12):
and she'll be able to do it that way. But
I want to sit down with her first to see
how her schedule is looking. I know she said she
definitely was going to be free on Friday, and she
definitely wanted to pop up during the stream and say
hello to you guys and all of that, shoot the
hey and everything for a little bit. But I know,
(04:34):
primarily I want to try to see if she could
just be our phone screener, So more on that as
the week progresses. I hope you guys been good since
last time I was on the air. We did a
short little show, didn't we. We were here Monday night.
That was a fast little hour, and I promised you
(04:56):
guys that I was going to be coming on tonight
do a bonus show for you guys where we'll go
a lot more all over the place. So that's literally
what we're doing here. I'm glad we're doing this show too, definitely.
I mean, it's been relatively quiet wrestling news wise, entertainment
newswise has been relatively quiet, I know, one of the
(05:17):
big things. And I can't stress this enough. I'm so
happy that for those that were affected by this government
shut down. To those that were affected, I'm happy that
now they are getting back to a sense of normalcy
because when you have it be a situation where somebody's
(05:42):
paycheck is interrupted and then they gotta figure out what
they're gonna be doing, you know, And it's one thing
to go ah one two days, but we're talking about
forty three days that this shutdown had went into play.
And I can tell you just from some of the
conversations that I've had with people that are federal government employees.
(06:09):
I've had conversations with those that rely on snap benefits,
and the majority of the conversations I've had it's pretty
much been, hey, glad it's over, But at what price?
Because when you just look at do your research when
you get a chance, if you haven't already, when you
(06:31):
look at how wait a minute, So this is it.
We went forty three days without this, and this is
the end result. This is essentially what we're going to
be getting in return if you're looking at things from
the democratic perspective and all that. Not to get too political,
but just it's been interesting. I bring it up because
I am taking a government class this semester and everything,
(06:55):
and so it's really been interesting learning all the inner
workings of Washington, DC and all that. So things are
just now slowing down for me right now where I'm
at the final stretch of this first semester at a
PWI university, and I've been able to hang pretty good.
(07:20):
Got nothing but fantastic news for some of the projects
that I've been working on recently. I have this article.
I just want to put this thought out there right now.
I have this really good article that's tackling AI and
there's quite a few people that I had the opportunity
to interview for this. You guys are definitely going to
(07:42):
be seeing this article be released very very soon. It's
so amazing because what started off this article I was doing. Originally,
this was an article that was going to be for
one of our campus newspaper outlets, but then things just
morphed and now it's just kind of one of those
(08:04):
well wait a minute, because originally it was gonna serve
as a project to be graded, and it has been graded.
I like, my professor was like, this is great, Like
keep doing what you're doing. You are definitely, without a doubt,
an exceptional writer. You keep at it like if you
(08:24):
want to carve out your own little niche in the
news industry as a writer, Like you got the fundamentals down,
Like you're good to go. He gave me like the
highest compliments and the maximum points that I could get
for this project. So I'm looking at that, and you
(08:45):
know that was so like uplifting what he had to
say and everything, because I was feeling a particular way
about my article. I'll tell you more on that. If
me and Tam sit down and do wrestling with the
topics this weekend, because I know she's kind of toying
with the idea of wanting to sit down this weekend.
But now I'm in a position that now that that
(09:05):
project is over, I'm looking at this article that I wrote,
and I spent like about two weeks like doing interviews
with scholars, you know, professors, lawyers and all of that.
And now I'm looking at this article and I'm going, hmm,
so where do I go from here? Am I ready
(09:26):
to put this out there for everybody to read? Or
do I want to add more to it? And I'm
in that add more to it. So it's a really
great article. I'm not just over hyping there. You guys
are gonna love it when it does drop in everything,
so promise you that. So that's that. But yeah, everything's
(09:47):
been going good with me and my end man, Like
I'm preparing for final exams. That's really it. Just getting
my study on. That's basically it for me. So can't
plan too much to Chris and the chat. Do I
know a good free VPN to watch all WWE shows
(10:08):
on Netflix? Now, Chris, see this is this is where
it's kind of You know, I hate doing this because
if it was a case where it was it was
let me phrase it this way, if you would have
asked me that question before I started majoring in journalism,
(10:32):
I would just flat out tell you. And not even now,
I have to be very careful about certain things I
say because I don't know how it can come back
to bite me in the behind, like that's the guy's
honest truth, that's not me being a punk. But it's like,
it's really really weird because the more people that I'm
(10:54):
rubbing elbows with, you know, since I've been chatting with
some of my i some of my academic advisors, you know,
fellow classmates, professors, like, it's one of those things where
it's like i'd be because when I tell them, hey,
I do a podcast, like what do you do exactly?
And I tell them what I do, and they're like,
(11:16):
and what exactly are you trying to do? You know
in regards to that, And I'm like, oh, well, eventually
I'm trying to branch off into being a television news reporter,
you know, be a radio producer, host, you know, try
to juggle all those things at the same time. And
I tell them, you know how our very own Tony
Perkins out here in Washington, d C. Even if you
(11:37):
aren't familiar with DC local news, you know, for a
good little stretch he was doing Good Morning America Tony Perkins.
He also was the co host there for the Donnie
Simpson Show for a good number of years. And once
I tell them, you know what I'm trying to do
and everything, They're like, okay, yeah, You're like, you know,
you got to tighten up on the language, right because
(11:57):
I'll even show them a link or whatever. And I
had them say to me, you know, hey, you know
you got good presence, you got you know, this is good,
This is good, Like you gotta watch the language. You
gotta make sure you're covering, you know, be careful about
certain things that you're saying, like really like yeah, like
you know, even if it's wrestling related, like you got
so Like if you were to ask me that question
(12:18):
Chris about VPNs and I wasn't major in journalism, I
just would be like, oh, yeah, you want to go
Like now I kind of have to walk a fine
a fine line unfortunately, so but Chris, I mean, dude,
if you know how to open up YouTube on your
(12:41):
respected device to watch me. Then your tech savvy enough
to easily obtain that information online, and now something that
I will say to you, it's not VPN related, But
the same philosophy applies. If I'm not sure about something
(13:02):
that I'm trying to spend money on, I do my
due diligence to research what it is I'm interested in.
I tried in this case Amazon, because I love buying
stuff on Amazon. I'm always looking at the amount of
reviews that's coming in for that particular item that I'm
(13:23):
thinking about getting. Maybe a friend or a family member
recommended it to me, or maybe I was just on
Amazon and I went down some weird rabbit hole and bam,
this item is being suggested to me on Amazon. I'm
gonna look at the ratings. I'm gonna see what the
people are saying. I'm gonna filter to see what the
most recent feedback was for that particular item I'm interested in.
(13:49):
Then I'm also gonna filter and look at the most
critical reviews that has come in for that product. And
then then and only then I'll make a decision on
whether or not I'm gonna check that out or not.
So hopefully that kind of helps you and everybody else
(14:11):
out there that are kind of having that little dilemma. Hey,
SmackDown tonight. In the books, it was the continuation of
the John Cena never say never, No, I'm kidding, the
John Cena. We want to get as much money as
(14:34):
we can. No, No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. The Time
is Now tournament. We had the continuation of it. Remember
Round one had began from Monday night and then going
into Tonight's SmackDown was the continuation of round one and
Round one is gonna be concluding this coming week with
(14:58):
Raw and SmackDown. So just to recap from what happened
from Monday's Raw, we saw Russeve defeat Damian Pree. Then
on that same show, Shenske Knakomora lost to Seamus. So
those were our two opening matches kicking off on Monday's Raw.
(15:20):
This week on SmackDown. Falling up from Raw, we had
jay Uso in Action against the Miz jay Uso picking
up the w fine little match, decent little match for
what it was worth. Here, I'm not really surprised to
(15:42):
see jay Uso go over here, but I mean it's interesting,
it really is because you know, that's part of me
that thinks about the long rivaled history there between John
Cena and the Miz. I mean, it just rights itself
(16:03):
so perfectly. Oh oh oh oh wait a minute, Wait
a minute, wait a minute. We kind of lost me there.
See if we can bring me back in there. I
don't know what's going on there we go, y'all lost
me for a couple of seconds there. I don't know
what that was about. Kind of weird, but anyway, Yeah,
(16:23):
you know, decent little match here. You know, with all
the history that has come about with John Cena and
the Miz, you just would have thought that Miz would
have advanced in this one. You know, he has been
a little bit ice coat and everything just would have
made a lot of sense to maybe see him advance,
(16:45):
right because you could definitely make the argument, you know,
not for nothing, but jay ooso, he really did not
need the w here, like what the hell? But then
you could kind of flip that back and say, well,
how would this really have helped the miss if really
at all? And again, you know, if you're a mis fan,
(17:07):
then you're really looking at this from a nostalgia factor.
You're really looking at this from a from a history
type of factor, but Jay Usso advancing in this one
another first round matchup, La Knight going up against a
returning Zach Ryder aka Matt Cardona. Sadly La Knight defeating
(17:36):
Zach Ryder. So, if you're keeping track at home, I
know we're gonna have a lot of people that's going
to be like, wait a minute, Wait a minute. Didn't
Zach Ryder already make his return to WWE? And I
would say to you not to be mean or kind
of you know, be a little finago with my words.
(17:58):
But what you I saw happen with Matt Cardona. What
was it last month when he appeared on NXT. Well,
he appeared in NXT as Mac Cardona. He had his
own Mac Cardona theme, The Titan tron said Mac Cardona
(18:18):
all that. You can actually find it on YouTube. You
can see his entrants in all that. Matter of fact,
I remember tweeting out how excited I was when I
saw Mat Cardona come out on NXT and everything. And
that was officially his return to the WWE umbrella since
he left all those years back. So again that was
(18:42):
Mac Cardona. What we got tonight was Zach Ryder updated
Oh Radio, got that little theme song going and everything.
It was a nice little updated version I got him in.
I actually I liked it. I liked the version that
they had played tonight was good. I so so so
(19:05):
wanted for Zach Ryder to win. I was hoping he
would win. It sadly did not happen. It sucks and
I immediately put out a tweet and it's been catching fire.
I said, before anyone gets upset over seeing Zach Ryder
lose to l A Knight, just remember that was Zack Ryder,
(19:28):
not mac cardonah because I promise you if that would
have been Matt Cardona, that would have been an entirely
different situation. I believe in my heart of hearts Matt
Cardona would have advanced and shout out to some of
the people that's been commenting on that post, well, it's
(19:48):
like Janetti was robbed. For instance, he said, these new
wrestling fans will never get this. In regards to the
comment I made, He's probably right. Tribal Thiefs says, yeah,
maccardonah Era was great while it lasted, but now it's
time to see Zach Ryder job to low card wrestlers. Like,
(20:10):
and I knew this is a type like I can
only imagine how worse if it's even getting there. I
would like to believe that the majority of mac Cardonah
fans are happy to see the guy back in WWE.
But if you're an old squitch, and that's probably like
with the more newer Cardona fans and all that, But
(20:30):
if you are a older wrestling head fan, you know,
in my age bracket, around my age bracket or maybe older,
you know you're going, well, glad the guy's back. But
what exactly does this mean? You know, you know seeing
(20:52):
him in everything you know? Is are things really going
to be on the up and up for this guy?
Him working with WWE? And that definitely brings us to
another interesting question right now, which is, okay, so mac Cardonah,
is mac Cardonah signed with WWE or not? What exactly
(21:14):
is going on here? I haven't seen this guy give
any interviews or put out any type of a press
release stating that, you know, he has re signed with
the WWE, But you would just like to believe that
with the great relationship that WWE is having with Chelsea Green,
(21:34):
which we didn't get a chance to talk about, but
congrats to her for being able to ink out a
new deal with the WWE. That's gonna be seeing her
around for a handful of years, So I mean, that's fantastic,
and honestly, I hope as part of all of that,
we get to eventually see Chelsea as a women's champion,
(21:56):
because I honestly feel in my heart of hearts just
everything this woman. I'm really proud of her. I'm really
proud of her work because she has come a long
long way. I remember seeing a little bit of her
stuff on the indies right before I started seeing her
regularly and TNA Wrestling, and it was about that period
(22:21):
if you guys know your TNA, back when they just
dropped the three initials and they were just running around
calling themselves Impact Wrestling, and Chelsea was doing the host
stick with the Insane Bride and everything. And I remember
right before the Insane Bride gimmick had kicked in. I
(22:44):
just remember, and this was back in the days when
we were doing an exclusive Thursday night show titled Impact Showdown.
The show's been on Hiatus, but Impact Showdown, just as
it sounds, all we did was talk straight up TNA wrestling.
(23:04):
It would be so funny seeing some people pop up
in the chat. And this isn't me being a dick
or being mean, but when I say this, you're gonna
kind of snicker as well. We would get people that
would pop up in the chat and they would want
to talk WWEE or some other stuff, and they didn't
quite realize, or maybe they realized, but they just didn't care.
(23:27):
I think there to defend them, be Devil's advocate a
little bit. Maybe some of them were just going, well,
you know, it's Lee, and yeah, I just saw Lee
doing the Monday show, so you know, well, even though
it's Thursday and he's talking about TNA only, surely be
able to talk some ww stuff as well. And that's
not how we did it on Impact Showdown. We just
(23:49):
did a straight up pure TNA joint, TNA news joint
once in a while, you know, before anybody acts once
in a while. I've dusted that show off of and
brought it back for special occasions and all that. But
I remember looking at Chelsea Green way back around that
period before she started doing the Insane Bride gimmick, and
I was just going, eh, you know, she's okay, but
(24:14):
I'm not really not really seeing anything here. I'm not
really buying this, and she started doing the insane bride
gimmick and I go, okay, all right, she's showing me
a little Okay, there's some potential here. Yeah, I can
I can see she's come a long, long, long way,
(24:34):
always improving her game. And as I always like to say,
you show me somebody that continues to put in the
work and they're making an effort to do better, get better.
I'll always show you an individual in myself that's willing
to give that person the time and space they need
(24:55):
to you know, I'll work with it, you know, basically like, hey,
that's good for me. But no, there's been no announcement
about mac cardona signing with WWE as far as you know,
doing something on a long term status. We know that
maccardona is involved with TNA Wrestling. You know, he's been
(25:17):
you know, popping up for them over the past couple
of years. Most recently he popped up last month. As
a matter of fact, he did some stuff at Bound
for Glory in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet when he
eliminated I think it was Zach Clayton, but he he
(25:39):
got eliminated shortly afterwards. If I remember correctly, Mac cardonah
didn't even make it to like the final four and
that call your shot match. So yeah, it is what
it is. But do I think Cardona will eventually put
his name on the dotted line and re turned to
(26:00):
the WWE on a full time basis. I don't know
about that. I don't know about that. You know, we've
heard Matt Cardona say so many times that he's killing
it on the Independence. He's making so much money. You know,
he has said for years that he's making more money
(26:21):
on the Independence than he ever was in the WWE.
And then you also look at the fact that he's
got his toys podcast with Brian Myers. I think it
is the great line of toys that they got up
on their website and like to go back to WW.
(26:46):
And I really need people to think about this, like
as exciting as it would be for older fans to
see Cardona go back to WW regularly, you know, you
just got to think about little logistics like that, how
exactly would all of that work out? Would it be
a case where WWE would be saying, hey, look, you
got all this stuff already set up and that's great,
(27:09):
but we want a piece of that pie. So you're
gonna have to split us in on the revenue if
you're gonna continue to have all these things going, you
feel where I'm coming from. So it's it's or is
it a case where you allow him to continue doing
those things, but in no shape or form can he
(27:32):
promote those things on WWE time, Like, there's too much
in the weeds there that you got to try to
figure out as far as how to you know, make
it reasonably enough, set it up where the conditions are okay,
(27:53):
everybody will agree to this. I just I just don't
know if Cardona would be willing to do all of that.
That's really really And I tell you what, seeing how
guys like Carrie and Cross was done, you know, I
know there's two sides to a story and everything, but
we'll never really definitively know the truth, right, But you know,
(28:17):
you just kind of want to look at them a
little bit leary and just proceed with caution. I think
that's what Naomi would say, proceed with caution. So but yeah,
I don't think we've seen the last of him in WWE.
I think at this point we're going to continue to
see him do sporadic appearances here and there. And if
(28:38):
I were a betting man right now and you were
to pick my brain and say, so, when do we
think we'll next see Zach Ryder slash Matt Cardona surface,
I would say Royal Rumble. I think after tonight we
won't be seeing him again until the Royal Rumble. I'd
(28:59):
be shocked if if he were to appear again before
the Royal Rumble. I think it's probably gonna be a
case where he resurfaces, maybe an XT, but I feel
very confident in saying, nah, Roald Rumble, you can pretty
much bank on that that's where he'll be popping up.
(29:20):
So keeping track of the tournament so far, again, we
got Russef who defeated Damian Price in the first round,
Seamus defeating Shinsky Knacklemore in the first round. That was
from rawl tonight, jay Uso defeating the Miz first round,
la Knight defeating Zach Ryder in the first round. Now
we know the matches that's going to be coming up
for this coming week. As the first round concludes on
(29:45):
Raw this coming Monday, Javon Evans takes on the returning Gunther.
That's gonna be one insane ass match. Looking forward to
that solo Sokoa will be facing a mystery opponent. Teased
you guys on Monday that you know a couple of
names that I was thinking about. But you know, if
(30:09):
we're to believe the reports that's currently floating around, I
was gonna be talking about this until much, much, much later.
But there is a report floating around there by the
good folks at Fightful and p W Insider that Joe
Hendry has allegedly inked a deal with WWE, that he
(30:36):
has officially signed to WWE for a full time deal.
So and the word is that he was not backstage
for TNA's biggest pay per view ev end of the year,
Bow for Glory, and the way things are looking right now,
(30:59):
I'm trying to get at the exact exact quote in here,
but yeah, those are the reports that's running around right now. Apparently, WWE,
like the goal was always apparently because they've been looking
at Joe Hendry for quite some time and apparently he had,
you know, maybe a couple of more weeks maybe to
(31:21):
about a month or two left on his current deal
with TNA Wrestling and WWE was essentially able to work
some things out where they were able to expedite it
and get him inked to a WWE deal and everything.
Word is that Sean Michaels had pushed to sign Hendry
(31:48):
and that WWE negotiated a smooth exit from his TNA
deal and everything. So and that is a report that
was first confirmed by uh Sean Ross sap there from
fight Ful and everything. So, I mean, if keeping that
(32:09):
in mind, right, just kind of keeping that in mind,
I just kind of feel as though Joe Hendry is
probably gonna be the guy that pops up on Monday.
I'm thinking about, like, is there any other name that
could possibly pop up that YO consider this guy instead?
(32:30):
Like this is the one. No. I really really feel
like Solo is gonna be upstaged by Joe Hendry. I
really really do. I really really do. And we need
some surprises right now. We definitely need some surprises right
now because as it stands right now, we ain't really
(32:54):
got nothing else going on. Sadly, because check this out
next Friday, SmackDown Solo Soca. Oh no, no, no, that's
actually a raw match. No. We talked about, Yeah, we
just talked about Solo so CoA. Next Friday on SmackDown,
there's gonna be Camaro Carmelo Hayes taking on Bronson Reed
(33:16):
and your other match, Penta will go up against Finn Balor. So,
I mean, if you're keeping track here, right, so we
got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. Yeah, so,
I mean we really need another surprise right here. I mean,
(33:37):
if it's not going to be Joe Hendry, I know
a lot of people were like, oh man, it's gonna
be Jericho. I continue to see that too. It's gonna
be Jericho, it's gonna be this person. It's gonna be
and I'm just looking at that and I'm going I'm
having a hard time. Picture. Now, we know it's not
gonna be Edge Adam Copland because he's all filming a
(33:59):
movie and everything, and Dave Meltzer or rather maybe his
new name should be Dave has Tony Kah calling him
in the middle of his show. Meltzer. Look, Meltzer has
already said, Yo, it's not going to be Adam Copeland.
Because I know Meltzer gets a lot of things incorrect.
(34:25):
But if he's saying, look, it ain't gonna be him,
because let's not forget that if Tony Kahan wants to
get certain information out there to listeners to aew fans,
he's got gateway access to individuals like a Dave Meltzer
(34:49):
to put whatever out there. So this is kind of
one of those rare instances where if Meltzer is saying, Yo,
it's Adam Copland, not ain't him, Okay, if Meltzer is
saying it ain't Chris Jericho because his contract's not up
(35:09):
until December, the only way, like, I can't even see
a scenario coming about where Tony Kahan would even agree
to let Chris Jericho out of his contract early. I'm
(35:30):
having a hard time seeing that. I really really am.
So if Meltterer is saying it's not even gonna be Jericho,
those are definitely two names that you can take off.
So look for me wishful thinking, especially if the guy
was most was more healthier and everything, and and I
(35:52):
still Hiroshi Tanahashi. I just if there was ever a
time to see somebody from New Japan Pro Wrestling, just
the ultimate dream match, I would just love to see
Tanahashi and John Cena longtime. Listen, like, that's been a
dream match of mine for the longest time, but just
(36:15):
not gonna happen. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen. So yeah,
so we know about the rest of those matches. That's
everything that's gonna be playing out for the next couple
of days. Meanwhile, elsewhere on tonight's SmackDown, we had a
US title match as Dragging Off defended against Axiom. It
was actually a really fun match, especially in the final stretch,
(36:40):
uh and everything. Here's where you kind of have a
little bit of a problem though. I get the type
of champion that they're trying to have Dragon Off b.
They're trying to have him be a fighting champion, a
champion that wants to take on challengers that basically have
(37:02):
earned the right to face him, challengers that you know,
he feels are definitely worthy of facing him for the
championship and everything. And there's nothing wrong with that. There's
nothing wrong with that because I kind of liked seeing
him cross paths earlier tonight with di I Wise, tomuscl
Choppa and Johnny Gargano. Yeah, and they were trying to
(37:25):
jockey themselves to be next in line for a shot,
but dragonof told them off, and so Axiom is the
one that gets the opportunity. Here's the problem that you
run with that. The crowd kind of didn't care a
little bit there, and maybe that ties into a lot
(37:46):
of the whole face versus face ordeal, you know, like,
especially if you haven't really like dragon Off definitely has
more stock than Axiom does. Axiom is still on that
that proving ground. Now to push back on what I
(38:06):
just said a little bit, because two things can be said.
That's true. Well not for nothing, but with Axiom and
the opportunity that he was positioned in and the way
this match was set up, you definitely walked away from
it having even more respect for Axiom. If you're a
fan that was kind of looking at Axiom a little sideways,
(38:29):
going I'm not really sure about this guy right now,
you definitely walked away from this match going all right, well,
this guy seems pretty tough and he was able to
hang in there really damn good with dragging off. Okay,
you know, I don't want to see a little bit
more of this guy. So but you know, you always
run that risk as a wrestling promoter when you have
(38:53):
two babyfaces going at it, especially when they really are
aren't that established enough, I mean dragging off. You know,
he's kind of almost picking up where he left off
before his injury, you know, but his in ring work
is basically speaking for itself. And then when you've had
(39:18):
Axiom that's just kind of been floating there on the
main roster a little bit yea, And I can't believe
I'm gonna say this. You know it's bad though, if
you can't remember if they were even tag champions for
a little bit on the SmackDown roster, because if it was,
(39:39):
it's just a faded memory, right, like you really can,
like damn, like, who did they defit the tag titles
against if they were, you know, SmackDown Tag champs or
whatever like it. It was one of those type of deals.
But decent match, decent match for what it was worth.
Definitely picked up, I would say towards middle more. Definitely
(40:02):
going towards the end of the match. Meanwhile, you would
have swore that the segment that they did tonight was
a was a Vince McMahon nod because our truth was
backstage and he wanted for Nick Aldis to touch his balls.
(40:24):
I'm talking about, you know, his little lottery balls, and
he wanted for Nick Aldis to take these balls and
put them in the tumblr for the Sena tournament, and
all this was very hesitant to touch those balls, didn't
want to have anything to do with Our Truth's balls.
(40:46):
But finally he snatched the balls away from Our Truth,
who told him he needed to be more careful, you know,
be tender. Chelsea Green comes over and she's whining about
not getting her celebration, and she demands that she get
a celebration for next week now that she's a two
(41:08):
belt champion and everything. All this obliges and tells her, hey,
Studia Solid, hold these for me, and he places the
balls in her hands, to which she looks at Alba
Fire and h and says, whose balls are these? I
(41:30):
mean this was just one of those queue up the
MATC Cardona Gifts said, I mean last week we had
Chelsea Green. I've never been creamed on this hard in
my life, and now this week we've got it. It's
just it just screams Vince McMann. I'm just picturing somewhere.
(41:50):
Vince McMahon is just you know, I just ah, we
got the crude humor that's going on here, Crude humor
at its finest. Yeah, gotta love that crude humor. I
just feel wad better than that. But whatever, man, whatever, whatever,
I personally didn't care for it, but if it if
(42:12):
it kind of gave you, guys a chuckle, more power
to you. Meanwhile, Sammy's Ain is back. Yeah, always good
when Sammy's Ain is back, right. I don't know, I
don't know. I love. It's weird with me. I have
this love and it's not even a hate. I have
(42:33):
this love worn out that just keeps that. That's what
I go through the motions with Sammy's Ain. One minute
I love the guy, and then the next minute, I
just wish he would disappear for a month or two.
I don't know what it is with me and Sammy,
but that's how it's always felt with me. But Solo
(42:58):
Sokoa crashing the scene, wanting the pretty much beat him
down right then and there on the spot, but sparing
him because he knows that Sammy isn't at one hundred percent,
but that when he does get to one hundred percent,
he's gonna be coming after him. Sammy tells him, well,
(43:21):
come on down, because you don't have to wait that long.
Medically cleared, right now, let's go at it. And at
first Solo wasn't gonna do it, but then anarchy is
about to erupt when Sammy reveals, Hey, you know, I
told you I was one hundred percent cleared, but I
(43:43):
didn't tell you that I was here by myself. We
saw the MotorCity machine guns. Who else was in there?
Dragon Lee was in there, Shinsky, Knakamora was in there.
They pretty much brought the fight to Solo, Sokoa and
his bloodline. We later fought found out that I believe
in two weeks time, we're going to see both of
(44:06):
these respected teams face one another in a five on
five Elimination Survivor Series elimination style tag match. So again,
that's gonna be in two weeks time. A lot of
information that we got from this episode to smack Down,
because they pretty much were planning the seeds there for
(44:26):
the next two weeks worth of shows. A little bit there,
if you're keeping track, So that little bit went down
on the show. Also, my phone went off, what's going
on here? Okay, I don't know who the hell that is.
That's a weird uh, who is this? Hang on? Oh okay,
(44:54):
that's why? Okay, gotcha? What else did we have go
down on SmackDown tonight? Going through my notes here, Jade
car Gill pretty much a squash match against b Fab
just squash fraud's worth, nothing more to add to this.
(45:17):
Post match Viam coming in check in on b Fab,
Jade not really appreciating me. Am coming in there, talks
trash to her, pushes her around a little bit. Kind
of seems as though we know who the next victim
is going to be there for Jade and everything. Jade's
(45:40):
doing pretty good, pretty good so far, no complaints, doing
pretty good. Let's see what else? I think I told
you guys we got Carmelo Hayes taking on Bronson Reed
next week. Right, I'm pretty sure we had said that, right,
we did say that? Yeah, just making sure sure we
(46:00):
did a touch upon that. I'm pretty sure we did.
See what else? Oh yeah, we had the WWE title match,
Cody Rhodes taking on Bronson Reid. So this was kind
of interesting how this was all set up, because much
earlier in the night, Paul Hayman arrived to the arena
with Bronson Reid and Nick Oldis sees them very reluctant
(46:27):
to talk to these guys as Paul Hayman is there
to remind them, Hey, yo, I'm here on wargames official business.
And as you know, I pretty much have my share
of anybody on the ww roster between all the shows,
like I have my pick as far as who I
(46:49):
want to be on my team for war Games, and
Nick Aldens is like, yeah, thanks for coming all the
way out here to let me know this, so like
now that if you said that you could bounce and
uh yeah. This was one of those rare slip ups
where it's interesting because we've seen Nick Ldis almost be
(47:15):
a step ahead of Paul Hayman, not in a yeah
I saw that move come in but but but Nick
Aldis is usually okay, I think I kind of know
what you're getting around to here, Haymon, spill it out.
What do you got up your sleeve? What's what's going?
(47:37):
And this was one of those rare moments where Nick
Ldis was just oblivious, and I don't know, for me,
I didn't quite like that because you know, because it's
almost night and day when you see how Nick all
this handles things on SmackDown and the way Adam Pierce
(47:57):
handles things for cause usually on Raw, it's almost like
these instant acme feuds, as I'd like to call it,
you know, where you're just mining your own business and
then you slip on a sandwich that's on the floor.
Who the hell left this sandwich on the floor, and
then wrestler comes by, Oops, my bad, boom, instant acme feud.
(48:22):
You know, there's your match right there, you know, whereas
Nick All, you know, Nick Alls is trying to handle
some business and one person pops up and you know
there's some trash talking going on or whatever, and you're like,
what we saw tonight? You know. Cody Rhodes pops up
and he's pretty much telling Bronson Reed and Paul, hey man, yo,
(48:45):
this is the Blue brand. Y'all ain't got no business
being here whatsoever. Y'all can just bounce yo. And he's
like unless you want to fight, and Brons is like, yo,
I'm down. Cody's like, yo, Dick, make this match happen.
Nicks like, hey, I ain't really no, no, no, go
(49:07):
ahead and make the match. And Nigga's like, okay, well
tonight we don't see and I love how Paul Hammon
just kind of injected himself in there, going, wait a minute,
like how we just gonna do a regular one on
one match, like put the title up Cody's like, may
it happened? So I just kind of like the way
some of this it kind of goes down. But this
(49:31):
was one of those instances where damn, now you know what,
you know what, Hang on a second, now that I'm
kind of playing it back in my head a little bit,
you know, the way that Nick Oldest was positioned, you know,
I take that back. I actually liked the way this
was set up because, look, if Cody would have never
(49:53):
popped up, it's safe to say, because like we've seen
enough content now of Nick Oldis character in this role
where he probably would have been able to at least
he probably would have been able to at least say
to Paul Hayman, dude, what's up your sleeve? Like seriously,
(50:13):
what's going on here? Because if Cody would have never interfered, right,
had those words with Hayman and everything all this, maybe
just maybe would have tried to see what Hayman was
up to. We'll never really know, right, because, on the
one hand, all this did say to Hayben Yo, look
(50:38):
what do you want? Okay, you drove all the way
out here just to say that, okay, great, thanks by
being very dismissive. So and boy didn't come back to
buy him in the ass big time. There. Hang on
a second, guys, because somehow my tracking system had came
on just now. So I want to try to see
(50:59):
if I can somehow turn off the tracking system. Hang on,
let's see what we can do this and it came
right back on. That's weird. Let's try it again. There
we go. Now we fixed it good. It came back
to bite them in the ass too. So go to
(51:20):
that main event match, final moments of that, and that
was the very very short ass match, like seriously that
pretty much had ended in a DQ as final moments
of this one, Cody Reid duking it out over by
the timekeepers area. Cody manages to break the referees count,
(51:49):
taking things apart over by the announced table. Next thing
you know, bron breaker Logan Paul, they show up pretty
much calls the disqualification from there, Jimmy jay ou So
they come out now. We did find out earlier in
the night when Cody had cross paths with Jay Uso.
Jimmy popped up as well to reveal, Hey had a
(52:12):
phone conversation with CM punkin definitely count me in for
war games, all right, cool, So now we know Jimmy
is part of that whole thing. But yeah, Jimmy and
Jay they come down there, try to even up the
odds and everything. Next thing we know, we see Drew
(52:33):
McIntyre from out of nowhere just start laying out, beating
the crap out of Jimmy. Drew ends up saving Logan Paul.
All this runs down to the ring yelling about this
because remember the last time we saw Drew McIntyre, what
was that like last week? I think it was exclusive
(52:55):
online footage where all this and McIntyre were getting into
a heated argument. I believe, I I hate to miss quote,
but I believe all this kicked Drew McIntyre out of
the arena, maybe suspended him indefinitely. I'm not really sure,
(53:18):
but I know he kicked him out of the arena
and on Tody's asked to go home and everything. But yeah,
Drew McIntyre was back full force here Drill Cody Rhodes
with the Claymore Drew then holds up Cody so Reid
could connect with a tsunami. Then at that point, now
(53:41):
we kind of know why Paul Hayman was there. Paul
Hayman had a war games contract that he gave to
Drew McIntyre to pretty much in the episode of SmackDown.
So we now know the way things are looking right now,
how the complete team is looking for both sides for
(54:02):
war games and everything. So we got logan Paul, we
got the Bronsons, and now we've got our guy, Drew
McIntyre in the mix. Meanwhile, over on team CM PUNK,
we got the USOS, We've got Punk and oh wow,
(54:24):
I am blanking out on the fourth guy. Who's the
fourth guy there for CM Punk? Oh Cody Roads. Yeah damn,
I can't believe I like almost blinked out on that
as Cody Roads the way it's looking right now, so
that could change, but safe to say that Cody Rhoads
is gonna continue to stay in there. I see that
(54:46):
you guys are getting occasional little little glitches with the stream.
I'm gonna try to see if I can maybe close
down an additional windoor to in a hot set that
might help a little bit. So look the quarterfinals for
(55:06):
that John Cena tournament. Here's the dates y'all want to
have in your heads right now. So we just told
you guys about November seventeenth and November twenty first, basically
this coming week's we're on SmackDown. Here's how the quarterfinals
(55:26):
are looking those particular dates. So we're going to have
two matches on Raw for November twenty fourth, and then
a few days later two matches on SmackDown November twenty eighth.
A right, so mark that down. Semifinals. We're gonna have
one match that will be on Raw December one, and
(55:48):
then a few days later on September fifth, SmackDown again
September fifth. Oh, my guy said, September fifth. Forgive me, guys,
it's been a long day for me. December fifth, Friday,
December fifth, SmackDown will have the other semifinals match, and
(56:09):
then a couple of days later on Monday Night Raw
December eighth, that'll be your finals and the winner of
that will go face John Cena at that weekend's Saturday
Night's main event. So that is how all of that
is mapping out. But in regards to SmackDown tonight. Let
(56:38):
me put it to you this way. Let me put
it to you this way. I won't say I was
bored out of my mind, but what I will say is,
let me look at the positives. On the one hand,
(56:59):
the senuation of the John Cena tournament, okay, and then
also in regards to that, seeing how the build for
Survivor series is continuing. So like, there's my positives right there.
Jade Cargill really coming into her own now as the
(57:23):
women's champion. That's great, dragging off putting in another pretty
solid title defense there. But I mean beyond that, eh,
everything else was just filler for me personally, my attention span.
(57:44):
I felt as though I was struggling with this episode
quite a bit. Oh yeah, Let's not also forget some
of the progress that was made with the women's War
Games match as well. We saw Charlotte Ria Ripley EO
who's the other one? Alexa? Charlotte EO Rhea. Charlotte basically
(58:14):
said to Alexa, Hey, look, I still feel a particular
way towards Rio Ripley, and I just don't see how
I can even work with this person. I don't see
how I could be on the same team with this person,
and she pretty much tells Riha, look, I know you
don't like me. I don't like you. I honestly I
(58:38):
don't trust you. And for the first time we heard
we heard Charlotte Flair say to Alexa Bliss, hey, I
trust you. I consider you a friend. It's like, if
you want to do this, like that's fine, but you're
gonna have to do it without me because I don't
want any part of this whatsoever. So very interesting choice
(59:02):
words there by Charlotte Flair, who rolled out, and Alexa
Bliss just looked on pretty heartbroken and everything. I remember
something happening backstage later on in the night with the girl.
Something happened with lash Legend and Naya Jacks. They were
(59:25):
beating the hell out of somebody. I don't know if
it was Rhea and EO. I kind of feel like
maybe it was. I'm looking at my notes here to
try to jog my memory, because I know I had
wrote it down. I kind of feel like it was.
I'm checking here me Bear with me a second here, guys,
(59:47):
because I'm want to make sure I'm remembering this right. Uh,
I'm not seeing it in my notes yes, yes, yes, yeah,
And backstage, Bliss was talking with Rhea and EO about
Charlotte leaving them high and dry and everything. Riha mentions
(01:00:09):
that they need a couple more people now, and yeah,
yeah they got Yeah, they did get jumped by lash
Legend and Nia Jacks. Yeah yeah, Carri and Oscar. It
turns out they were there too. It's a brief little
camera you might have blinking you missed it. It was kind
of one of those type of deals, blinking you missed it.
(01:00:31):
Look I like the fact that lash Legend is being
injected into this. I mean, she's got a great look,
looks like a damn star. And y'all know your man
over here been singing nothing but lash Legend high praise
for months upon months and everything. So it's nice that
(01:00:54):
she essentially has gotten a call up and everything. Honestly,
as far as the Women's war Games, what they are missing,
what they desperately need right now. I would love it
if it ended up being Beyanca Bellair in place of
Charlotte Flair, But then it's kind of one of those deals,
(01:01:15):
where where is she on her recovery? For those of
you that's not really sure what's been going on with
Bianca Belair. She's been dealing with a nagging finger injury
that you know, she just thought she was going to
be out for just like a couple of weeks and
it just stretched out. You know. It's interesting because she
(01:01:36):
was noting how you know, I had, you know, something
was going on with just one of her index fingers,
and then somehow it ended up spreading to her knuckles basically,
and the recovery process has been slow. I'm trying to
see if I can find the exact quote that she
(01:01:56):
put up because she commented on this. Yeah, I actually
found it. So she uh spoke with BT's one to
six and Sports and she said, so, I broke my knuckle,
which is not my finger. I broke my knuckle joint.
(01:02:18):
It's something that I thought was gonna be a very
straightforward eight to twelve weeks. It's been almost six months
at this point. But it was WrestleMania and I was
in a triple threat with Ria Ripley and EO. Sky
and we were going to the top rope because that's
what we do, and we came off the top rope
and Ria landed straight on my hand and just crushed
(01:02:40):
everything in my finger. So it's been crazy. It's been
a crazy journey. And you know, being an athlete and
having an injury, you rely on your body and now
my body's not doing what it is supposed to do.
But I'm hoping I can be back in the ring soon.
So you know, that's a long time to be out.
(01:03:04):
So makes wargames interesting, right, makes it that much more interesting.
Are we gonna maybe see Biaka bel Air slide in
there or is it gonna be a case where no,
they're just teasing for a little bit longer. The idea
of Charlotte Flair, you know, will she or won't she?
(01:03:25):
And maybe she will and then ultimately but still, even
if she does commit to war Games, can she truly
be on the same side? Will she function properly while
being on the same team with Rhea Ripley Or will
(01:03:48):
hot head Charlotte Flair just kind of go yeah, nah,
miss me with that and leave her team high and dry?
Could she be a detriment to the war game team?
We got a couple of more weeks to see how
all that is gonna pan out and everything. I do
miss me some Bianca bel Air, though I do miss
(01:04:11):
me some Bianca, So hopefully she comes back a lot
sooner rather than later, because I personally would love to
see her. Like, even if you don't insert Bianca into
war games, if you maybe wanna insert Bianca in a
few with Jay car Gill and really helping Jade get
to that next level, I would totally be down with
(01:04:32):
that as well. But that was SmackDown. No polls for
for SmackDown. By the way, shout out to braun Stroman
and his new show bron Stroman Eats Everywhere, Eats Everything,
whatever the hell the name of the show is. They're
doing really good numbers, really good numbers. I mean, like
(01:04:56):
his numbers are are so good I think it might
have beaten an episode of aw Dynamite. Like that's how
good his numbers has been for the past couple of
shows that's been out there. I know he did one
show that was out here in Washington, d C. I
actually got to go back and watch the episode in
question because like some of the places if he ate,
(01:05:20):
I mean, we got so many good places out here
in Washington, d C. I'm not just bragging, like I'm
preaching the gospel, and we got some really good places
that's out here in DC. I can't think of the name. Actually,
I think his name is coming back to me right now.
Oh my god, there was a social media influencer that
(01:05:43):
was recently out here and he ate some really good
fried chicken, mumbo sauce, fried rice and all that. My god,
is it Keith Lee. I think it's Keith Lee, not
the ae W wrestler, a food social media influencer, slash critic.
(01:06:03):
Keith Lee. I think is the is the young guy's name.
I love the dude. Good dude. Seems very humble, very
very very respectful and everything. Good dude, good dude. But yeah,
I heard that braun Strowman did a episode in DC.
I'm going, Okay, where did this guy eat? Because like,
(01:06:24):
all I gotta do is just hear the name of
the place and I'll be able to tell you like
whether or not. Yeah no, that no, seriously legit, Like
that's good. I know the episode that premiered tonight, he
was having himself a Chicago dog and I'm just going,
I'll never forget I'll never forget this. I remember we
(01:06:47):
were in Chicago some years back, you know, and I
grew up on Chicago hot dog. So I said to
the wifey. I said, yeah, let's go do some lunch.
And you know, I said, let's do something special. It's like,
let's do a Chicago hot dog. And she's like, well
what does that consist of? And I was like, just wait,
(01:07:07):
just wait, like you'll see, you'll see. And boy, I
remember when we got served those Chicago hot dogs, you know,
and I'm biting into it and I say to her,
you know, isn't this good? Isn't this so good? And
she's like, yeah, you know, it's okay, but it's not Nathan's.
She's big on Nathan's hot dogs. I'm like and I
(01:07:28):
just looked at her, and it's a running gag that
we've had going like to this very day, you know,
because I don't mind the Vianna hot dogs. I think
the Vianna hot dogs are are awesome. I think they're
better than Nathan's. But she's like, no, no, no, Nathan's
is better. You know. Sometimes when me and her talk
about certain foods, we kind of we're kind of like
(01:07:49):
those two hitmen. I can't think of a movie, but
those two hitmen that are just going over who's got
the best hot dogs, Who's got the best Hamburger made.
Who's you know, which restaurant is the best for you know.
I don't know if that was like a reservoir dogs
type of thing or what the movie titled. I don't
know what it was. But to see that braunz Stroman
(01:08:12):
was eating Chicago dogs, I'm just going, yeah, heck yeah,
that's how you do it, all right. Some other little
bit of news that we can get into. Hey, from
a WWE Supercard fans. If it's been a little while
since you last play WWE Supercard, now it's a good
time to get back into it. They just celebrated their
(01:08:33):
twelve anniversary recently as they got a new patch that's
out new game update, and they've got a ton of
new game modes that's available right now. One of them
is Super Showdown, where you can go in there and
you can basically they give you x amount of tokens
(01:08:58):
that you can get. I think you can pull some
off the draft board, but with these tokens, you can
go into the Super Showdown mode and you can earn
yourself some packs where you have a chance of getting
some really cool micro Buddy themed cards. You can also
(01:09:22):
get the Prize theme card that's available in there. It's
really cool. So you got that game mode and then
you've got to crack the case where basically you're trying
to guess a series of numbers. You only get four
attempts to get the numbers right. It's another way that
(01:09:46):
you can get yourself some really cool cards. I'm trying
to think, Oh, they got leagues. Leagues, that's the new
mode league. So it looks like the way that they
have done leagues Leagues has basically replaced PvP. Remember when
(01:10:08):
you used to go into PvP and then you would
get war World Rumble, Women's Rural Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Women's
Elimination Chamber, and Survivors Series and all that. Well, now
all of that, you know, you still get that, but
now it's under leagues. And the way that they are
(01:10:29):
doing this, X amount of points will put you in
an opportunity where you can possibly obtain the league card reward.
So it's kind of interesting. It's kind of interesting how
they got that set up. So they've got some interesting
new game modes that's in there. Of course, they've introduced
(01:10:53):
not one, not two, not even three, but basically one,
two three. I think they've got four, maybe four new
rarities Adventure, Ignition, Void. I'm trying to think what the
(01:11:14):
other what the other one is? If you bear with
me a second, I can actually tell you because I'm
looking at my roster right now. I'm gonna go into
backstage and see the new cards in question. Yeah, so
we got void Ignition prize if you want to count
(01:11:38):
that technically, but you know, not really. So it's either
three or four new modes rarety modes that they got there.
So they've done a lot, Like there's so much that's
in there now that it's kind of one of those Okay,
do you play this mode or do you the way
(01:11:59):
it kind of comes off to me, they're really giving
you more opportunities to do your very best to level
up your cards. So if it's been a minute since you,
you know, played, check it out. I'm doing the hand
gesture again because my goddamn tracker came on once again
(01:12:21):
and I'm trying to figure out how to turn this
damn thing off. I don't even know what exactly I'm
doing as far as the hand gesture. I'm just minding
my own damn business. And the next thing, you know,
the hand gesture just it kicks in and I gotta
be tripping over this because otherwise the freaking tracking will
(01:12:41):
kick in. Like I'll give you a perfect example. If
I move this way, well maybe if I move this way, yeah, see,
it's gonna follow me wherever I go. I don't know.
Maybe we can let it be for a little bit.
I don't know. Say I did it again. One minute
(01:13:03):
it's on and the next minute it's off again. Okay,
and it came back on. That is so weird. So
you're supposed to hold your hand up. That's weird. That's weird.
Well what if I go like this, hang on, let's
(01:13:24):
see this again. Okay, so the power to the people fits.
That's not gonna do it. Okay, that worked that time.
That was weird. That worked that time. I guess I
gotta keep my hands under the desk. Yeah, that's that's
gonna be really really hard for me to do. I
don't know. Maybe if I mess with a Rubik's cube
(01:13:45):
or something, that might do the trick. So yeah, So
that's WWE supercard. So check that out when you guys
get an opportunity. And then some other stuff that we
can get into here on the show. Let's talk a
little bit about some of this stuff that's going on
(01:14:06):
with Tigan Knox. It's not good seeing this stuff that's
floating online about Tigan Knox. I don't know if you
guys had heard about this. Of course, she is now
going under the ring name Nixon Noel remember, but I'm
(01:14:28):
gonna refer to her as Tigan Knox because like everybody
kind of knows that a little bit better. So they
have her and Miranda Alizi believe that's how you pronounced
their last name. They've been the talk of the town
in the wrestling community the past several days due to
(01:14:50):
accusations stemming from what should have been a second match
in ae W for this respected tag team, and the
girls have responded to the accusations and an attempt to
clear up what they believe is misinformation that's been put
(01:15:11):
out there and everything. So let's give you guys a
little bit of clarity here, some context, because it is important.
So Noel and Alizi, they made their AW debuts on Collision,
you know, end of October's like the final final show.
I don't know if it was Dynamite Collision, but one
(01:15:31):
of those shows final month of October, losing match to
Meghan Bain and Marina Shaffir, and apparently Tony Kahan was
quite impressed, as well as a few of the other
people that were in Tony's camp, so much so they
(01:15:51):
were brought back for a second match and they were
supposed to do something at Friday's collision. It looks like, however,
the match didn't happen, as the unsigned pair were replaced
by hy end and Maya World. So that of course
(01:16:14):
sparked some reports. You know, some folks wondering, you know, hey,
what's going on with these girls? Are they okay? Was
there an emergency or something? You know, what happened? So
somehow you got some reports that ended up floating on line,
saying that the change happened at the last minute due
to Noel and Aliza refusing to lose. There were also
(01:16:38):
claims that the tag team was disappointed with how much
time the match had been allowed. You got rumors swirling that,
you know, all this combined it just made them really
look bad. So they took to Twitch a couple of
(01:17:00):
days ago, trying to clear things out in everything, and
I'm trying to see if I can I'm trying to
see if I can pull up what was said here?
How First of all, how long is this? Oh it's
(01:17:20):
only two minutes. Okay, we can play that. That's a
two minute clip. And then there's a part too. How
long is oh my god, five minutes? Oh god, I
don't know if I really want to do five minutes.
I'll tell you what. Do we have a transcript? If
we have a transcript? Oh, perfect, we have a transcript,
so we don't even have to cause apparently it's them
(01:17:41):
playing video games and then they're talking about it. I'm
not interested in doing all that. So apparently they claim
they weren't told who their opponents would be that night
until very late in the day, and that when they
were informed of the plan, they were told their match
would only be three minutes long. We were polite, we
(01:18:08):
were respectful. We called our producer over and we said, hey,
I don't think three minutes are going to benefit either
of us, not just us, but everyone in the tag team.
This is what Noel explained on Twitch. There was never
bad blood. We spoke to everyone involved. It wasn't a
(01:18:32):
f you we're leaving at all. We spoke to a
lot of people about this, and they were all in
agreement of like, hey, three minutes is not good for anyone.
Noel added that after the polite conversations, we're all involved,
san Alizi were told they're welcome to leave, and in
(01:18:57):
the interests of giving working space and having nothing else
to do on the show, sheen Aalezi left, noting they
didn't storm out as rumors suggested, so as you would imagine,
(01:19:19):
even after you know, trying to clear the air here,
you know, you still have some people that are being
doubters and all that, and rightfully so. Tie A Valkyrie
ended up tweeting that it's a wrestler's job to make
every second count, no matter how little time they might
(01:19:42):
be given. Well also reminded fans that she still plans
to retire within the next year, so she might simply
not want to compete in matches or for promotions that
she doesn't think are worth the time. I want to
(01:20:03):
read the full quote too, that Tyle Valkyrie had put
out kind of like in response to what Newell, how
she operated and everything, because it's not a lengthy message
that she put out there, but she said, and I quote,
at the end of the day, this is a business
it's our job. It doesn't matter if you get one
minute or forty five. You make every second in front
(01:20:25):
of those fans and on that TV count. It's an
honor and a privilege to be part of the show.
I've been doing this for fifteen years and I've been
in every position, good, bad, champ enhancement, and every single
aspect of that show, small or big, is important. Make
it count. Yeah. So look, we also got these reports
(01:20:52):
that's floating about where you know, you got allegedly some
independent wrestling promoters that are gone and oh, you know,
she wants too much money. So of course she's not
going to succeed on the independent scene because she's asking
for too much money. It's just it was a ridiculous
(01:21:13):
amount of money. You know, she's got brain rot. She's
got that WWE brain rot because she thinks that for
the X amount of money that she was making in WWE,
that she's going to be able to command that. And
she wasn't even really you know that good and her
name really you know, doesn't even sell like that. So well,
(01:21:38):
understand something for the promoter or promoters that tried reaching
out to her. You know, she did say that you know,
she's been dealing with some nagging injuries and that she's
going to be looking to hanging up within the next
year and all that. So if you're hitting her up
and you're trying to get her to come work for
(01:21:59):
your promoter, you know, nine times out of ten, her
and her people they're researching your promotion and they're probably
not thinking that much about your set promotion. And it's
kind of one of those well like how serious are
these guys? And then it becomes for the talent and
(01:22:22):
question how much do you really want to work with
these people? Well, I really don't want to work with
them at all. Okay, we'll tell you what. Look, you're
asking price, like if they're really really serious, and you know,
I don't really think you should be working for these people,
But look, if they can muster up the money, then right,
(01:22:42):
because let's be real, the price that her and her
camp may have given you, said promoter, it could be
a case where they know that like, hey, there's like
no chance that you're going to be able to get
the money together to even try and book us, And
(01:23:08):
we're actually kind of banking on that because we really
don't want to work with you. But then you can
make an argument of well, damn, if you know these people,
you know of her and her camp, if they really
did not want to work with this promotion in the
first place, then why not say no? Because when you're
(01:23:31):
in a position where you can take somebody for a
ride and they're willing to give you that ride, then
you take advantage of it. So you know, you don't
really want to shut down right now. Of course, if
there's a promotion that like, oh, yeah, you know, so
and so said, I gotta work with these guys. Oh yeah,
heard a lot of good things about this promotion. I
(01:23:51):
heard a lot of good things about this book, or
heard a lot of good things about Oh okay, well
you know what, Yeah, I'm gonna give them. I'm gonna
give them the low the low price, because I've heard
nothing but good things. And you know there's a connection
because my homegirl or my homeboy Da da da da dah,
I work with them. He's always putting them over. Let
(01:24:13):
me get him the discount, or you know, let me
come down on my price a little bit, right. So
I want you all to be very very leary, uh
when you see that allegedly some of these promoters are
out there and and they're saying, oh, well, you know,
ridiculous amount of money, and bring rot and be careful
when you see little stuff like that. Now, that's really
(01:24:36):
cool that Noelle is saying, hey, man, like, that's only
like three minutes. And you know, that's not really fair
to us, that's not really fair to the tag team
that's at play and and that. But look, let me
let me echo the same sentiments as Tie of Valkyrie.
(01:24:57):
You have a job to do, and you are being
paid for that job. I don't care if it's a minute.
I don't care if it's thirty seconds. I don't care
if you're going over or you're not going over. I
don't care if it's a squash matching you're at the
(01:25:18):
losing end of that squash match. It's television time. You're
getting the greatest commodity that there is, and that is
you're being put in front of eyeballs. And in this
day and age of media consumption, right, people are gonna
(01:25:41):
be seeing you. I mean, really really think about this,
and I mean everybody, just close your eyes and really
think about this for a second. Man, so many people
are going to be seeing me live on TNT and
or TBS also on HBO Max. Oh man, there's gonna
be so many social media engagements and all that Facebook, Twitter,
(01:26:06):
you know whatever. Oh, I'm even gonna be like on
the YouTube channel and of theirs and all that other
good stuff. Hey, this is a win win situation because
this isn't a case where I'm only gonna be seen
on ipay per view. This isn't a case where you know,
somebody's got to pay like twenty dollars or whatever, you know,
(01:26:28):
just to No, this isn't a case where, uh, this
is only gonna be available on this roucoup channel and
if you happen to be up at three o'clock in
the morning, you'll be able to see me one there.
It's not any of those type of deals whatsoever. Like
I'm down for if you want a cherry pick, yo,
(01:26:49):
I am so down for cherry picking. But when you've
got a silver platter of an opportunity that's in front
of you, oh, you want to milk that for all
it's worth. You definitely want to be going to your
next Twitch stream going hey, guys, can't wait to tell
(01:27:12):
you all about the great experience that I had, you know,
working there, in a W those couple of matches. Make
sure you tune in. Make sure you tune in, and
you check out my next twitch stream. You know, we'll
be talking some a W and you know a lot
of this and blat that like that's how you do it.
(01:27:36):
I mean, look, the only thing that makes sense to
me is this woman. And I say that respectfully. She
must not really need the money. She must not really
you know, care for if she is all about nah, man,
(01:27:58):
it's got to be this way. Wed are going to
do it this way, or we're not going to do
it at all. You know, there's a particular way that
I'm envisioning this. There's a particular way that you know,
and that's her right. That's her right to feel that way,
be that passionate and all of that. But what I
need for her to understand is the flip side to that.
(01:28:23):
As passionate as she wants to be and stay true
and her convictions and all that, she needs to be
prepared that people like Tony Kahan and others, they may
be like, well right on, yeah, didn't think about that
at all. You're so right. They'll tell you what you
need to hear to your face. But as soon as
(01:28:46):
you are no longer within presence. Yeah, let's not work
with them again. Let's not bring them back, let's not Yeah,
like no, So you really, really, you don't want to
be careful, especially when you're relying on your name, when
you're relying on your brand to help you get over,
(01:29:08):
to help you connect with some of those opportunities that
you're trying to get in everything. Time will only tell
if this really you know, if she's still good, or
if this kind of hurt her. And you know, for
the other girl, I've never heard of the other girl.
(01:29:30):
I don't know how long she's been added in the
respected industry. Definitely not a face I've seen on TV
in previous years, So I don't know if it's kind
of one of those things where she's just you know,
going with the flow or or or you know, monkey
see monkey do. I don't know what the hell's going
(01:29:50):
on with that, but you know, I just I saw that,
and you know, I appreciated Tia Knox saying in issue Lead,
don't believe everything that you see and hear. But my
whole thing is, YO, don't wait until day or two
or three later to talk about it on your twitch
(01:30:12):
stream as soon as And this is my message to
any other entertainer, athlete, you know, wrestler that's out there,
Like when you see that type of report that's being
put out there about your your name, your brand, your likeliness, right,
this is this is how you're making money for yourself.
(01:30:32):
You know, you want to protect that. And when you
see a report that's out there that is not true,
do more than just put out some blanket statement, like
you know, if you are willing to talk about it
on a twitch stream, that tells me you definitely okay,
(01:30:53):
you you're willing to talk about it. So why wait
and milk it for a stream, Like I said, as
you see it, just get ahead of it right then
and there and the bunk the misinformation. Like you know,
that's the main thing that I've been learning a lot
in my journalism classes is how media in regards to
(01:31:21):
social media, it has been the main culprit of misinformation
and disinformation. Uh. There is so much skewed bias uh
that is out there that it can be really really
(01:31:43):
hard to Okay, well you know what I'm reading here?
Is this accurate? You know, well, it's it's got to
be the truth and then the other thing that we
got to remember as well is, you know, we've got
this with social media, you know, and with podcasts and
all of that, but most importantly with these website aggregators
(01:32:05):
that's out there, regurgitators as I like to call them.
You know, especially when you've got individuals that aren't doing
it right. You know, they're they're not going through school,
they're not you know, doing proper research and studying you know,
ethic laws and you know, co conduct and all of that.
(01:32:28):
You know, we're in a day and age where it's
basically citizen journalism. And for those that don't know about
citizen journalism, you know, citizen journalism. You know, it's basically
it's the day and age that we're in right now
where we got a whole bunch of people running around
with no formal training whatsoever, not even doing proper research,
(01:32:49):
and they're just putting any old thing out there. You know,
Heaven forbid, Heaven forbid, you got a focus report that's
you know, running around. You know, you pretty much got
these people that are just copying, pasting, and they're not
even taking the time out to actually read what is
actually being said, you know, verifying that that is in
(01:33:12):
fact what that person said during their Twitch stream or
you know, whatever that source is, you know, and then
validating the source and all that in this new form
of citizen journalism is just very easy for somebody to
just pick up run right into it. It really really is.
(01:33:33):
So my message to you guys out there, like, learn
from this. Don't be so ah like, even if you
want to be dismissive like everybody like I get it.
But the sooner that you get in front of stuff
like this, the better, unless you, you know, if you
(01:33:53):
just don't give a you know, like I respect that
and you're just gonna take it as it okay, like,
but on the flip side to that, don't be complaining
going I wonder why I'm a phone ain't ringing. I
wonder why I'm not getting hit up for business opportunities.
I wonder, Like, you can't have it both ways, That's
(01:34:16):
all I'm saying. You can't have it both ways. You
could try, but it ain't gonna work out so good. Hey,
check this out. I was looking up prices for Undertakers
joint that's gonna be happening in DC. I thought Undertaker
was maybe gonna be bringing his one man show out here. Nah.
(01:34:39):
Apparently Undertaker is gonna be doing a special filming of
his podcast. It looks like I'm trying to see if
I can find that information. I think I might have
put it on my phone here. The prices for this
are freaking ridiculous too, man, all right, So the Undertaker
(01:35:00):
is going to be doing his six feet under podcast
live at the Howard Theater. Doors open at six thirty pm,
show opens at eight pm. Check this out. Oh and
by the way, for my people in the DC Virginia area,
this will be at six twenty t Street, Northwest Washington,
(01:35:24):
DC two zero zero zero one. Tickets go on sale Wednesday,
November nineteenth. General admission one hundred and twenty four dollars,
so basically one hundred dollars plus a twenty four dollars fee,
first come, first served seating behind the premiere floor row
(01:35:47):
seat section. And then check this out. The premiere floor
row seat get this three hundred and eighty two dollars.
That's three hundred fifty dollars plus thirty two dollars. You
got the premiere balcony row seat sixty three dollars. That's
(01:36:09):
basically fifty dollars plus a thirteen dollar fee, first come,
first serve seating at the front of the balcony. Then
you got the balcony bar seat sixty three dollars. That's
fifty dollars plus thirteen dollars. Premiere floor booth for four
that's ninety dollars seventy five dollars plus fifteen dollar fee.
(01:36:32):
Booths are pre assigned and your party will be directed
to your booth at arrival. You must buy the entire
booth and the price listed is per seat. And then
you've got the premiere balcony for six, which is ninety dollars.
(01:36:55):
That's seventy five dollars plus fifteen dollars. So I mean
they are really, really, really really milking the hell out
of this. Not good prices, not good, not good, not good.
And then just to know that, Okay, yeah, it's a podcast,
So basically we're gonna have to put up with probably
(01:37:19):
Michelle McCool during that. Nah man, you can miss me
with all that. I'm good. I'm good. Now. See if
it was the Undertaker one man show, you might be good.
You might be good. But I'll tell you what, depending
on how well my predictions, depending on how well this
(01:37:39):
event goes in DC, This will determine whether or not
in the near future there'll be an Undertaker one man show.
I can definitely promise you that I'm hoping that it's
a success. I really really do, because I know that
for a lot of wrestling fans out here, I've had
(01:38:00):
my fair share of speaking with quite a few of them,
they really want a Undertaker one man show. They really
really do. So you know, we'll keep the fingers crossed
and hope for the best and everything. Hey, shout out
to Kevin Nash. I want to make you guys aware
of this. There is this bogus flyer that's running around
(01:38:28):
and Kevin Nash was very quick to point this out.
So it is from a company hang On, and they're
in the mix of doing this right now. So there's
a little wrestling event called Wrestling for Heroes, Big Wrestling Convention.
(01:38:49):
This is out in Prior, Oklahoma. They're calling it a
massive wrestling convention this weekend. And Kevin Nash face is
all in this graphic. Okay, and Nash, he put this
out a couple hours ago. He goes, just saw this.
I'm not booked on this event. I would be very
(01:39:13):
leary about who else is being falsely advertised. Some slow
I'm that would have been funny if he didn't say that. No,
he actually said he didn't say some slow. He said
some little town. That would have been funny, though, some
slow little town. No, though, some little town an hour
(01:39:34):
from Tulsa. Definitely a bottom feeder promoter. And then he
followed up like an hour later and he goes, the
promoter's name is Jared Bird and he's the owner of
Gimmicked Promotions. Just good to get that information out there.
(01:39:57):
Don't use my image and falsely app avertise me, and
we won't have an issue. Now, these guys like you
see the graphic Kevin Nash is in there. And then
in that same thread, somebody had took the liberty of going, hey,
(01:40:21):
I see that. I see that there was an image
where you know, since you know, it looks like you
were taken out of it. He's like, so it kind
of says to me that maybe these guys were doing
something with AI. Yeah, here it is. The guy says,
so on their Facebook page is this graphic? Notice who
(01:40:43):
is not on it? Also, look specifically at your picture,
he says, you know, the one with you has been
manipulated with AI to remove some stars and add you, Yeah,
which is really really WTF, right, It's so weird. And
(01:41:06):
then some people were wondering, well damn, because Sting is
apparently the headliner for this event. So then the question becomes,
will is Sting really the headliner? Because wait a minute,
he's supposed to be doing something in New York. Sting
is legit. Sting legit is going to be at this event.
I actually checked Sting's official Twitter profile and he's got
(01:41:29):
his list of dates up and he actually is going
to be at this Wrestling for the Heroes event. Now,
I actually, because I couldn't help put out of curiosity, go, okay,
so what wrestlers is actually going to be at this event?
Because like I'm curious, like because when you see the graphic,
(01:41:51):
you know, when you see the graphic, you're like, oh wow,
this is so cool. Acts and Smash, Luke Gallows, Carl Anderson,
Papo shan Go, the Godfather. I mean we know the
same person, mister Anderson, Tatanka, Sergeant Slaughter, Victoria Chavo Guerrero,
(01:42:12):
who is dad? Who is dad? I'm seeing this blonde
haired woman. Man, she looks familiar anyway. Miss Jackie Chocolate
Southern Beale Jackie, I love me some Jackie RVD. You're going, Wow,
this is like such a really cool lineup of people,
Like this is great. But then when you go look
(01:42:34):
at their event, Bright Page Wrestling for the Heroes Big
Wrestling Convention, You're like, Okay, well, well, who all is
gonna be at this event and everything? And you see
the lineup it just reads Sting, Sunday Only, the Godfather, Friday,
(01:42:58):
Saturday and Sunday Victoria Sergeant Slaughter Jacqueline. You're like, wait,
you just showed me an image with a boatload of
like all these other wrestlers that's supposed to be there
and everything, Like, so what's the real deal? You know,
(01:43:19):
Like I don't get it. So I don't know. I
don't know, but I will tell you this, and this
is my message to anybody that's out there now. Look,
I don't know if whoever was in charge of designing
the flyers for this wrestling promotion. I don't know if
(01:43:41):
it was a case where they were hired and they
were told, hey, look this is our event. These are
some of the people that's going to be there, do
what you need to do with the graphics, like anybody
that knows a thing or two about coming up with
(01:44:02):
a graphics banner. I mean, it's really really easy. All
you gotta do is once you get a list of
the people that are supposed to be an attendance for
set event, as long as you have that promotion's logo
and it's a it's a transparent logo, no background. Okay,
(01:44:25):
you got the logo, you can then you know, easily
go online play with some you know, really cool backgrounds.
You know that that you see you online that might
look kind of cool to you, and okay, let me
try messing with this. It's very easy to find renders
(01:44:49):
of the wrestlers as well, and then hell, not for nothing,
you can find those wrestlers renders transparent PNGs, no backgrounds.
If you can't find a really good image, you know,
that's a PNG no background, it's definitely easy to find
(01:45:13):
the wrestler in question and then go to a site
where you can have the background be removed. It's very easy.
All you got to do is just dedicate the free
time to do it. I cannot stress that enough. People
do not get lazy, do not get comfortable just going
(01:45:35):
I'm gonna do everything in AI because AI has a
really really fine way of backfiring on your ass. I'm
being totally honest with you. You don't want to be
messing around with AI and being reliant on AI like that.
(01:45:55):
I kind of have a feeling that something was maybe
done utilizing AI to a certain degree. But yeah, you
definitely as a promoter, you want to make sure that
you are not doing anything shady where you're falsely advertising
(01:46:20):
somebody that's not even going to be at said event.
Because man, this goes back to what we were just
talking about a couple of minutes ago, like your name
and your brand, you know that reputation, like you don't
want to risk that. You don't want to risk that.
I gotta tell you, when I first saw that, it
kind of reminded me of the Steve O'Neill Extreme Reunion
(01:46:44):
crap that had went down back in the day. Look
that up. That was such a black guy on the
independent wrestling saying so many years back. I can't believe
we were actually on the air when all that was
going on. But yeah, just a crazy man crazy, And
(01:47:05):
I mean it's a really good graphic too that was
put together. Like I mean, obviously these are renders, but
I just like the way everything was done in such
a way where for the most part, everybody's kind of
got like the same level of shading and all that
(01:47:27):
to a certain degree. But yeah, you don't want to
be doing no crap like that. Let's see get into
a couple of other things before we get ready to
dip out it here. So we got an update on
WWE Poe's following following Mark Shapiro's comments. Remember, during a
recent appearance TKO president Mark Shapiro had commented on WWE
(01:47:54):
premium live events, saying they're open to new ideas they
never seem exist. They're ready to take on a new shot,
new risk, new opportunity. Basically, he was talking with Nick
Cohn and apparently there was talk about launching a new
(01:48:15):
event as right now. A lot of their pls were
created by Vince McMahon. Shapiro goes on to say, we
need to get in the business of taking that torch
and moving past that, and Nick and Triple H created
Russell Palooza, which is the launch event for our new
(01:48:36):
ESPN deal, which did incredibly well and may turn into
a super franchise. Not to mention from a merch standpoint,
I don't need to tell you securing the IP rights
and then selling merch at Russell Palooza. Let's just say
it was a real winner. So you know, kind of
(01:49:00):
cool right there. And you know, of course we've heard
some ideas kind of floating around there that Mark Shapiro
is interested in eliminating some of the PL's you know,
obviously utilizing events like Russell Mania, Summer Slam, Survivor Series
(01:49:27):
rur Rumble, utilizing those, having those be basically a tent pool, right,
you know, making that be the main base structure, you know,
to essentially build around it. And of course you would
like to believe that with Russell Palooza being the success
that it was, that will somehow, you know, continue to
(01:49:49):
be part of that tent pole as well. For t
kowwe moving forward and everything. Look, if they want to
this is a double edged sword, right, It's a double
edged sword for the fans because if you were to
say decrease hypothetically speaking, if TKO is going, we need
(01:50:12):
to do less of these, but really really, you know, hey,
look if X y Z has the money, like let's
make it happen, but like otherwise kind of not really
feasible for us to be running out here, you know,
doing this po e and then you know, because I
may really think about it. And it's felt really good
(01:50:34):
these past couple of weeks that we have not had
a pl E because man, I remember a stretch where
it was like, I know, my own family was like,
wait a minute, you got another damn post show you
gotta do. I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, but you just
did like I know, like are you short as a
wrestling thing or like yeah, I'm sure. Like that was
(01:50:57):
the type of conversations I always at because like, you know,
my friends and family and they could believe like wow,
it's felt so weird these past couple of weeks that
there hasn't been anything you know, relatively going on and everything,
which is good, which is good. It gives us podcasters
a chance to catch up on some much needed rests
and everything. But if for the fans, it's kind of
(01:51:20):
bad because it's like, oh man, you're taking an opportunity
away for that wrestling promotion. You know, they're stars and
all that that I can see them. You're taking away
that opportunity for me and my friends and my family. Okay, right, right,
it's a good point. But then on the other hand,
(01:51:42):
if you're saying to me, hey, look, we want to
make these events feel really really special. You know, these
ww events, we wanted to be really really special when
you go and you check these things out. And that's
great that we got the Monday shows. That's great that
we got, But you know Tuesdays with NXT. Hey, that's
(01:52:03):
great that we got Friday Night SmackDown and everything. But
everything at this point should be building up to an event.
In the more time that we can hype up this event,
build up this event, sell out tickets for this event
like the better. As I've said for years, quality over quantity,
(01:52:30):
and if Mark Shapiro is trying to find that right balance,
I mean, I can't really crap on that, right. The
only thing that I can really crap on though, is
the prices for admission. It's just really really ridiculous. And
what I wish would happen. I don't know if it's
the Phoenix Suns franchise NBA basketball franchise that's doing it,
(01:52:58):
or if it's another organization, but what I wish TKO
would do going forward. If you're gonna acts and command
for these ridiculous prices, then I think it's only fair
that when it comes to the food, like you have
the lowest prices that's humanly possible. I know out here
(01:53:22):
in d C we're trying to implement something a little
bit similar to what I just described as happening with
the NBA and everything, especially when you come to our
if you know your baseball Nats, the Washington Nationals, if
he comes to the Nats game, you know they've got
these really good, you know, low prices for food and everything.
(01:53:45):
But the basketball that's where it's really really because the
owner decided, okay, with the increase in ticket sales, he
was gonna do his best, and he did implement this
like one dollar cheeseburgers hot dogs. Like I would like
to see something like that be implemented for these WW events,
(01:54:06):
because if you're gonna be paying all this ridiculous money
for these tickets, even those bleed seats, and you're gonna
pay all this ridiculous money for parking, and right then
you got to get the memorabilia and all that. If
you're gonna be coughing up all that money for that
(01:54:28):
amount of stuff. Then it makes all the sense in
the world that where it counts the most, you're able
to save a little bit of money on food, right.
I mean, when you really start to think about it,
everybody's inflation. The inflation. Oh it's you know, I just
did a sociology I just wrapped up this sociology piece
(01:54:52):
of homework where I was interviewing somebody and I was
looking at their socioeconomic status. I was looking at their wealth,
their income. There's actually a big difference between wealth and income.
Look it up, you know, race, ethnicity, and just looking
at their upstream their downstream factors and all that. And
(01:55:17):
I know when I started talking to them about their
health and how do they feel they are with their health,
do they feel it's exactly where it needs to be?
They were like no, And I probe them more, and
I was going, well, you know, what do you think
a part of that is like, well, you know, honestly,
(01:55:41):
with the inflation, you know, it's really hard to do
the type of grocery shopping that I would really like
to do, because if I could have it my way,
I would be eating healthy all day every day, like
twenty four to seven, Like as soon as I'm thinking
about eating, like i'd be having healthy options, you know,
(01:56:02):
but you know, the groceries is so expensive and it's
much easier for me to pick up that five dollars
biggie bag from Wendy's or you know, get that value
meal from McDonald's. And you know, you can't keep raping.
(01:56:24):
I hate to use that word. It's a very extreme
word there I'm using, But you can't keep raping wrestling
fans pockets and just be like eat them and smile
like it's gonna eventually backfire, right. I mean, on the
one hand, you appreciate the fact that Vince McMahon and
(01:56:45):
crew for so many years kept prices at an affordable
rate definitely outdated. And I mean when you look at
where the prices are now compare to average going prices
for basketball games, football games, you know, it's almost in
(01:57:06):
par almost in par still, believe it or not a
little bit more affordable. Do your research you'll see what
I'm talking about. But yeah, you got to find that
right balance where it counts the most. I think looking
at the concession food and all that, that would definitely
be a really good start, but let's see what happens.
(01:57:28):
I mean, it's still early. Anything you know, cannon will happen,
but I don't think it's the end of the world
and everything, and some people are kind of making it
out to be shout out to my girl Kinsey page
in the NWA. It was kind of sad to hear
that her reign as the NWA Women's Champion came to
(01:57:50):
a shocking end after like seven hundred and something days.
I think she almost hit seven hundred and twenty days
as the NWA Women's Champion. Her reign came to and
in by Natalia Markova, who is the new NWA Women's
Champion she wanted at the seventy seventh anniversary show. I
(01:58:11):
definitely need to get caught up and see what I've
been missing Natalia Markova. I know when I first started
watching her, particularly when she made her debut in the NWA,
I was going to stop the press, Who is that
she is?
Speaker 1 (01:58:28):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:58:28):
She's cute, like you, what's her story? And her wrestling was, Oh,
it was, It was okay, But it seemed like when
I would dip my head in every couple of months,
seems like she was getting better and better as a
pro wrestler and everything. And yeah, she's the current NWA
(01:58:52):
Women's champion right now. So and I am remembering the
number right, seven hundred and twenty days as the women's champion,
and so that's a hell of a streak there, man,
that's a hell of a streak. All see what else?
I'm just trying to see if there anything else we
can get into. We already talked about Undertaker. I think
(01:59:16):
that might be it for the show here. I'm telling
you what, man, my Twitter is continuing to blow up.
Let me just circle back. So I think there was
like a couple of more people that were commenting possibly there.
Let me just see what's going on here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
(01:59:37):
you know what before we get ready to the bit out.
You know, MVP. I got a lot of respect for MVP.
This guy. You know, it's sad that we're in a
society where some people they go, well, I don't care
if you went to jail twenty thirty years ago and
(01:59:58):
you've turned your life around for it about it, or
once a criminal, always a criminal, And it's just so
it's really messed up. It really really is. Because remember
I was talking about government earlier. You know, it's interesting
because I was learning some like fun facts in regards
to government, like particularly you know, every state is different
(02:00:22):
when it comes to your rights after you get out
of prison, when it comes to your voting rights. Okay,
so like you've got some states it's like a weird
it's like a weird stat but you've got like, matter
(02:00:43):
of fact, I think I might be able because I
wrote it down, but you got like some states they go, yeah,
you're never gonna get your rights back to vote, or
it's you got to go through all a whole bunch
of loopholes trying to see if you can get your
(02:01:05):
voting rights. But then even at that, it's not a
guarantee that you're gonna get those voting rights back, like
it really really just depends. And then you got other
states that upon release from prison, your voting rights are
(02:01:30):
fully and instantly restored. And then you have some states.
You know, it is a residual process where it's gonna
take a little bit of time for everything you know,
to come in and all that. You know, it's rather
interesting when I think about the voting rights and kind
(02:01:55):
of tying it back to MVP. It's like man, Like,
how much longer does a person have to continue to
apologize for their past crimes? Yeah, especially when they have
done everything in their power to change and be a
better person, be a better contributor to society and everything.
(02:02:19):
So why am I bringing up MVP? Some of you
guys may be wondering. So MVP had reiterated recently in
an interview that he has no respect for Triple H
and that he can think of more guys who dislike
Triple H besides him, and that there are some people
(02:02:44):
that dislike Triple H more than him, saying an I
quote I've said before, I call him a coward and
a liar. Let's put it like this. If you really
want to, you can go to you too, and you
can look up the interviews of very his wrestlers through
the years of what their opinion is of the man,
(02:03:05):
interviews of guys that were his friends, what they had
to say about the guy. I can think of more
guys that dislike him than I can think of guys
that do like him. And people say MVP salty or
bitter like No, I have personal like No, I have
(02:03:28):
personal issues with this dude stemming from professional stuff, but
just the things that he does, how he carries himself.
I just don't have respect for the guy. The newer
generation they don't know the guy yet. So the one
(02:03:50):
of those that came up underneath him in NXT, they
think he's brilliant and a lot of them should for
the hand he's had in their career. But the guys
that had to work with him back in the day
will tell you a different story, almost overwhelmingly. And so
(02:04:11):
it's not just me saying it. There's guys who are
way up the totem pole than me that are telling
you that this guy's know bueno. Now, Look, everybody can change,
and you know, I would like to believe that when
(02:04:32):
Triple H had his health scare a couple of years ago, legit,
it made him reevaluate, you know, his life as he
knew it, his relationships, just reevaluate everything, maybe even look
(02:04:53):
at his own marriage. And you know, when you're knocking
on death's door like that, knocking on death's door can
have one hell of a way and really shaking you
up and changing your outlook on a lot of things,
particularly how you treat people. MVP. When it's all said
(02:05:14):
and done, whether we like him or we just don't
have really anything for the guy. No hate, no like
just we're indifferent. He's entitled to his opinion, straight up.
The man is entitled to his own opinion, what or
(02:05:36):
not he's right or he's wrong. I just know this
great country of ours, USA, he's entitled to his opinion.
I put out a comment I said, when MVP speaks,
and I actually tagged him. I said, when MVP speaks,
one should listen. Man has nothing to gain from putting
(02:05:58):
his thoughts out. There always been a firm believer that
when the truth is on your side and you got receipts,
speak it. That was my personal opinion about the whole ordeal.
And you know, there's just some weird, uh, weird comments
that was uh that was coming in from individuals that
(02:06:21):
were just they ran to the they ran to the
old Trump cart there and oh, well, you know, let's
talk about when he went to jail. Let's talk about
It's like, how we're really gonna bring that up again.
And I like what Mike had said in the comments.
(02:06:41):
Mike had said, and he'll always be a criminal if
we are acting like people can't change as they get older,
you know, and to Mike's point, it's like, look, everybody
makes mistakes and their life. Nobody is perfect whatever, nobody
(02:07:01):
is perfect. So like, what like, show me the most
perfect individual that's you know, living on this planet that
has made no mistakes whatsoever. I'm gonna be like, okay,
so like what's your secret? What the hell did you do? Like, seriously,
(02:07:22):
what did you do? I don't know. It just I
just find it to be really really silly that, you know,
here's this guy saying what he's saying. And of course
when you look at the comments that was under that
post I've made, you know, obviously this was hardcore WWE
(02:07:44):
fans that were coming to the defense of Triple H
and for WWE, and we're quickly. You know, It's interesting
because before MVP even joined up with ae W and
he was saying what he was saying. You know, it
just seemed like before he joined aw oh yeah, you know,
(02:08:08):
MVP spitting facts. You know, MVP like there was really
no but Heaven forbid that with him as an independent contractor,
so he can pretty much go wherever Heaven forbid. He
goes with a wrestling promotion that has a television deal,
(02:08:29):
and now all of a sudden you know, Trader and
all this other. It's kind of funny when I look
at that crap, like, like, really, I see that TNA
is doing their turning point event. By the way, shout
(02:08:49):
out to TNA Wrestling, Frankie Kazarian is your new TNA
World Heavyweight Champion. Apparently there is a I think it's
an angle right now where Mike Santana has gone off
the radar and everything. I think it's part of an angle.
(02:09:12):
I know a lot of people are pissed. A lot
of people feel that yo, they had the great opportunity
out there in New York. I can't think of the
TNA event that it was a couple of months ago.
I remember watching it though. They're like, man, if there
was ever a time where you pulled a trigger on
Mike Santana to be the TNA champion, like this is
the place, this is the time and all of that,
(02:09:35):
and to basically see him have like one title defense
and drops the strap. A lot of fans are pretty
pissed off and a lot of really looking at you know,
what exactly is going on here with this TNA side
of things. But then they're also reclining back and scrutinizing
(02:09:59):
more the relationship going on between TNA and WWE. And
I get that, like legit, I get that, but look
not for nothing, Frankie Kazarian, I say, you know, he's
the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. I say, well, long
(02:10:24):
time coming. But is it maybe too soon? Too late?
I just can't help it kind of feel that way.
If it was maybe five to ten years earlier, maybe
i'd feel a little bit differently, like I'm not disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed. But at the
same time, I'm just looking at everything that was going
(02:10:44):
on there with Frankie Kazarian. I just look at the
trajectory that was happening there with Mike Santana, you know,
the nice, steady white hand. It's like, I'm not quite understanding.
Make it makes sense to me. That's kind of where
I'm going right now. I know that Mike Santana recently
(02:11:08):
was interviewed. He was interviewed and he was talking about
they're waiting for a couple of more people to sign
off on a program involving him and AJ styles. I
don't know if maybe Frankie winning that World heavyweight championship
is like an integral part in the final for a
(02:11:29):
well there for AJ styles. I don't know if that's,
you know, part of the whole mix or whatnot. I
don't think it's needed personally. I don't think a championship
is needed. You can just do what you need to
do with those two guys and pretty much go from there.
But yeah, yeah, but congrats to Frankie Cazari, like legit.
(02:11:52):
I mean, the guy's been around a long time, him
and Christopher Daniel, They've been added for so fricking long.
I'm looking at the early reviews that's coming in right
now for the Turning Point event, seems almost below average
(02:12:13):
for the event so far. So that's that's not good, Right.
I'm gonna try to see if I can watch it
over the weekend, and I'll definitely sound off more on
it on this Monday show that's going to be coming up. Hey,

style type of I love the production. The production was
top notch quality. Good mixtape is the name of the
documentary series. Mini documentary series. Each episode it's four part.
(02:14:54):
Each episode ran about almost a half hour. It was
really really good. It's available for free on his Digging
the Grades to YouTube channel. And he's also gonna be
dropping a mixtape that is somehow this mixtape is it's
gonna be weird the way I say this, it's not
(02:15:16):
quite a mixtape soundtrack of the music that was done
for this mixtape docuseries that's gonna be coming at a
much later date, but it is music inspired by if
that makes sense. I know that sounds kind of like
really really crazy, But when you watch the docuseries and
(02:15:38):
then you watch where Brandon had to say in regards
to this mixtape that's getting ready to drop, you'll definitely
well understand it. But yeah, if you haven't checked out
the mixtape series, go check it out, especially if you
were an old school fan like me of cassette tapes
