We are the rc w R Show with leasers. Hey,
what is going on? Have people Lee Sanders back with you?
Guys for an all new edition of the RCWR Show
for this Monday night of August twenty fifth, twenty twenty five. Yeah,
we coming on just a little tiny bit late. I

(03:15):
tell you, I have really been filling it the past
several days. Let me tell you, I have just been
a busy little b work work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work,
trying to get in this. You know how it is, man,
especially when you're trying to make that money. All right,
I don't need the same more say less. You know
how it is. But yeah, we're coming on a little

(03:37):
bit late. I know, WWEE. Raw came on at like,
what was it, three in the afternoon on the East coast,
so that would have been noon on the West coast
here in North America. And depending on where you live
country wise, hey, your time frame might have been good.
But I know for a lot of people here in

(03:57):
North America, it was one of those deals where I
will say, you know what, I'll just catch it when
I get home from you fill in the blank right
down to the point. We put out a exclusive poll
on Twitter. I didn't do YouTube. I put it out
on Twitter asking yo, what did you think about Raw?

(04:18):
And you know, I was quite taken back by the
early voting that came in because I was expecting to
see a decent amount of people majority basically going yeah,
I'm gonna check it out on demand, and that's not
actually the case whatsoever. Right now we got to tie
at forty three percent thumbs up, other half thumbs down. Meanwhile,

(04:43):
I am seeing fourteen percent, well, watch on demand. I
did put in a bonus option as I was curious
how many people didn't watch it live. Nobody selected that,
so I thought that was very interesting. Sing shout out
to Deonta who said option C he voted in. He

(05:05):
told me in the comments he went with option C
as he had planned on watching it on demand and rightfully. So, Hey,
we got a loaded up show for you tonight. Not
only are we going to talk about WWE raw from earlier,
we'll definitely go over what had went down over the
weekend with the Roger Jackson incident. Now, look, we did

(05:29):
do wrestling with the Topics on Sunday, Me and the
Missus and a great show, a lot of fun. Loved
just going back and forth on that. We went at
great length, at great depth talking about the Roger Jackson incident.
And I know before me and TAM's got done with
that show, we said, Yo, the ramifications. It is just beginning.

(05:53):
We should learn a lot more. There should be many
things that's going to unravel, and we didn't just leave
it that Dad. I remember saying something along the lines
of I would think that this promotion that is cooperated,
co founded by Rikishi, there's going to be some ramifications

(06:14):
as far as their partnership goes with WWE, And there
is a whole lot of specific If you guys had
checked out the show over the weekend, there was some
very specific things that I had said rather than just
put a blanket statement out there in my my mind
with a difference a day make So we'll definitely dive
into all of that good stuff. I'm letting you guys

(06:34):
know right now. RALL was not that good of an episode,
although what I felt really carried the show this week
was the fact that it was in front of a
international crowd. And you know, it's always great when we
get the WWE product in front of a international crowd
because their energy, the fact that WWE doesn't come to

(06:57):
them enough and everything. I like the like when honestly,
when WW does this UK tour. I would like to
see more Japanese events. I would love to see them
do more of that. I know I said that wrong.
Just stay with me, work with me. It is a
little late at night at the time that we're doing
this and everything, but yes, as far as the Far

(07:18):
East goes, I would love to see them hit up Tokyo,
Japan and all of that. It would be some great,
great look if we can entertain doing a Saudi Arabia
and letting it be a case where Saudi Arabia gets
their own WrestleMania. If we can entertain that idea, then hey, baby,

(07:39):
let's take WrestleMania international. Let's just take it internationally because
I will tell you this a WrestleMania in Japan, Daddy.
That's all I got to say about that. Hope, y'all's
week is off to a fantastic start. Hey, I want

(07:59):
to get into some weekend news when it comes to
all the wrestling stuff that went down, I definitely want
to sound off, and that includes giving you guys the
quick results for NXT heat Wave. I did sit down
and watch aw Forbidden Door. I actually watched it earlier today.
I would say I watched about eighty percent of the show.

(08:22):
Eighty percent. I'm being honest with you guys, right, Hey,
we got to live up to the whole Montra keeping
it honest, insiphol interactive. So I can talk about all
that just a little bit. Hey, I want to do
an unveiling boxing unveiling for you guys. So we got
ourselves a new plant. Apologize to our audio only listeners,
but I'm actually holding up the box that this plant
came in. And I love seeing the arrows, live plant,

(08:44):
live plant. Yeah, but the odds that this plant is
going to be like who really is going to follow
the ar rows? And all of that, I gotta admit
right down to the point when I ad came to
the door for my mailman earlier today, I saw him
on my ring doorbell and he I got a notification

(09:08):
on the phone. I said, hey, hang tight, I'm coming.
He's like, oh, okay, cool. I had to sign some certified
mail and nothing major, nothing bad, nothing bad, but just
something I was anticipating. I had to sign off for it.
And I saw how he had this. This was not
standing like this, this was laid down. So what's right

(09:34):
is left? And what's up? Is down. So I know
we got some of you guys that love when I
talk a little bit of the plants. I've seen you
guys when it comes to some of the photos and
videos I've been sharing, a lot of you guys are
quietly like, oh, that's a nice plant collection. So I
wanted to show you guys what this is all about.
Following up from Sundays Wrestling with the Topics, which if

(09:55):
you haven't checked out the video cast, the audio cast
is available wherever you get your podcasts now, so just
search for it. I did set up TAM's air humidifier,
so she is now rocking and rolling. Right before she
left work earlier today, so I was out running errands

(10:16):
and everything. She goes, Hey, why don't you doing me
a solid? On't you push the air purifier there and
see how it runs? I said, Okay, sure, I said,
And then you know, we'll compare notes later and all that.
But I also had got her this plant. This is
the second plant that I got for her. If you
guys are keeping tabs, I wanted to get her a

(10:41):
snake plant, and that's exactly what I got here. It's
in a four inch pot and so far the presentation
looks pretty good. I just took out a piece of plastic.
But look how they did that. There. That looks pretty
good so far. And let's see what we got, boy,
it is it is really ooh shit, this thing is

(11:04):
really in here. I'm not gonna lie to you, guys.
I don't even know how to hell this is ingenious
how he did this? So apparently this is taped to
the other end of the box. Okay, so he made
sure that this thing was not gonna move around at all. Now,

(11:25):
I would think that the way I gotta take this
out is by messing with the brown paper that I
just like. I just did. Okay, so that's good. And
then let's just do this little bit of access here,
excess access. I went either way, all right, So we
got that, all right, guys. So here we go, and

(11:48):
I want to pull up the name of this plant case.
You guys might be a little interested in checking this out.
This is in a four inch pot and it looked
very pretty so far. I gotta say, I want to
try to get it out of this plastic if I can.
But I, okay, I didn't think I was going to

(12:10):
be able to get it out the plastic, but I
can get it out of here, and I think I
have the perfect place where this can go, honestly. So
besides this, I've been building my Magic of the Gathering decks.
Notice I said decks, that's plural. And I got some

(12:32):
more magic cards that came in the mail, so I'm
pretty stoked for that. I decided I wanted to do
something I never was able to do the first rodeo
that I was playing magic, and that was build a
all black deck. I mean a black deck that will
just truly kick gass, and I think I finally managed

(12:56):
to pull that off. I have a Vampire deck that
I've been working on, so I got some really cool
cards in the mail that came right along with this plant.
I'm talking as long as I am because I just
wanted to get all of this stuff out. Oh man,
and it smells great. I don't need to worry about

(13:18):
watering it. But if you're like me with your plants,
especially when you get a new plant, you want to
just do a moisture check, make sure that the soil
is on point and everything, that it's not too dry,
and it'll be fine for a couple of days. As
you try to make the plant adjust and everything. Here
we go, guys, and let me pull this up. So

(13:39):
this is a jade plant, a snake plant, but it's
a jade star. Take a look at that, bad boy.
And for audio listeners, you could tune in at the
eleven minute fifty nine second mark. So this is a
snake plant, jade star sense of verra. The indoor plant
comes in a four inch pot and it just looks

(14:01):
really really good. I'm liking that. Wasn't that nice and pretty? Wait?
Let me come more this way. There you go. Now
you guys can really see it. Look at that. Isn't
that pretty? It's pretty bad ass. So it's gonna be
chilling in the man cave along with the other plants.
The soil feels pretty damn good, I gotta say, still

(14:22):
feels damp. I don't think it needs to be watered.
I think it's okay. I think it's gonna be just fine.
So we're gonna put that right here for now. So
that's good. Yeah, Yeah, I'm more excited about that than
ww row, I gotta admit to y. We'll get to
that in a hot second.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Hey, first things first, let's talk about this weekend's events
that came about wrestling wise.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Right, don't worry. We're gonna talk more about the Roger
Jackson stuff later on. I promise you, guys. Let's talk
about some of the stuff though that went down. Over
the weekend. We had NXT heat Wave, which I did
not want. I will be completely honest with you, guys.
I totally forgot that NXT had an event. Totally forgot

(15:08):
that they had an event. So they had that over
the weekend out there in Massachusetts. Quick results from that event,
Lola Device defeated Jada Parker and Kalanie Jordan in a
triple threat match to determine the number one contender for
the NXT Women's Championship. I'm okay with Lolavice. I know.

(15:30):
A while back, I had a couple of you all
asked me, straight up, Lee, what do you think about Lolavice?
What is it about Lolavice that is making WWE essentially
kind of hold back because she should have been a
NXT Women's Champion by now. That was the sentiment that

(15:50):
a few of you had about Lolavice, and you didn't
get any pushback from me. I said, no, you are
absolutely right. I'm right there with you. It kind of
feels as though Lola has taken a back seat to
many others. That includes Stephanie the Caer, that includes Julia,
that definitely includes Jace Jane. Yeah. I mean, the list

(16:12):
just goes on and on and on and on and on.
So hopefully, hopefully, with Lolavice now being the number one contender,
even if she doesn't win the championship whenever she clashes
with j C Jane, hopefully we are seeing the beginning

(16:33):
of a long term program that will eventually culminate and
Lolavice becoming the NXT Women's Champion. Do I think she's ready? Yes,
hands down, I definitely think I think she's been ready
quite honestly. I think it was just more about really
establishing her and everything. But man, with the current crop

(16:54):
of phenomenal and talented women that you have down there
at NXT right now, now, those guys can go in
so many other directions, especially when it's a case where
somebody's got a really hot, steady hand, like you want
to ride that, You definitely want to write that elsewhere.

(17:15):
Dark State, in a tag team match for the NXT
Tag Team titles, defeated Hank and Tank ash By Elegant.
You heard me right. Ash By Elegance defeated j C.
Jane and Masha Slamovic in a triple threat match to

(17:40):
become your new TNA Knockouts Champion. So the woman that
was formerly known as Dana Brook, she is now the
TNA Knockouts Champion. Curious what you all think about that move,
especially if you've been checking out the TNA product for

(18:03):
an extended time. Yeah, four or you against? Do you
feel that they should have gone in a different direction
or what? Very curious sound off on that one. Me,
I'm a little bit indifferent right now. I mean the
stuff that I was seeing with her in the whole
Elegance stable and all that. Ah man, it's okay, nothing

(18:26):
really earth shattering, nothing really who but yeah, I appreciate
the fact that she's been busting her ass and she's
been trying, but still just kind of feels the same
to me. Just different name, different get up, but same individual,
same presenter. That's just me. That's not me being a dick.
I'm just I'm being totally honest. Look, it's not my

(18:49):
cup of tea, and that's okay, that's okay. That's what
makes us so beautiful in this damn world we're living in. Meanwhile,
Blake Monroe defeated Jordan Grace. Elsewhere, Ethan Page and Chelsea
Green teamed up in a mixed tag team match to

(19:09):
pick up the win on Tavon Heights and Tyra May Stele,
And in the main event match, Oba Femei retained the
NXT Championship against Javon Evans. Quick results there from NXT's
heat Wave. Will I go back at some point this

(19:30):
week and watch NXT heat Wave? Yes, for sure. I
have no problem going back and watching heat waves, So
I just need the free time to be able to
sit down and actually do it. Now. Look, I watched
eighty percent as I mentioned a few minutes ago of
aw's forbid indoor event. Good God, Almighty, I said this.

(20:00):
I want to say, if not last week, definitely two
weeks ago. But man, oh man, AW, they've really just
been quietly and I really got to commend the hell
out of these guys. They really have been busting their
asses these past several months. And if you want to
give an award to most Improved Promotion, I could make

(20:26):
to you a very strong argument that AW should be
at the top. Of that list. No, I'm not getting
a paycheck from AW. I'm not in any type of residuals.
I'm not going to be invited to no media scrum
and all that y'all that's been checking me out for
a long time. You know, I don't care what the
promotion is. If it's got you talking, we're talking about

(20:48):
it here. I look at the good, I look at
that bad. I think and talk about the indifferent all
of that. Okay, I don't just do like some people.
I'm not gonna just come on and bitch about something.
I'm gonna give constructive criticism, constructive feedback, ways of improving
and everything. And I gotta tell you just I love
how AW has just quietly all this year, head down

(21:12):
and little things, from the entrance presentations of their talents,
to the merchandise, the merchandise quality, T shirt designs, everything
has just They've done a one point eighty even right
down to the production value. As I was watching Forbid

(21:33):
and Door earlier today, I couldn't help but go, wait,
is this actually an AW presentation? I must be watching
the different wrestling promotion because this is just and you
guys know that as far as production talk goes. I
know a thing or two about production, and I'm gonna

(21:55):
continue to write. I gotta boost that. I gotta you know,
I have a officially hey authority figure not in a
triple H kind of way, but I definitely am an
authority figure out because I have a degree in media production.
And what we saw of Forbidden Door from a viewing standpoint,

(22:17):
this was not your typical wrestling show. No no, no,
no no. It had for me, the best way I
could describe it, it almost had a thirty for thirty
sports documentary kind of style to it, and it made
a w Forbidden Door come off like a legit fight

(22:42):
event that you were checking out via from Boxing MMA.
And when you compare it to WWE, you know, and
what they like doing on a weekly basis and everything.
I mean, it's definitely night and day. But the production

(23:02):
value that AW put into this show, You're going, holy
holy shit, you know. I mean, look at it this way.
When you look at WWE and how they produce their shows,
it has that. It has that simple language. That's the

(23:22):
best way I can describe it. It's got that polished,
glossy sports entertainment look and feel. It's almost like you're
watching a Monday night football telecast meets Hollywood. I think
that's the best way I can kind of sum up
WWE AEW. More specifically with Forbid and Door, it seemed

(23:49):
like they leaned more into a gritty, cinematic fight club atmosphere,
something that you usually don't see happen on Raw SmackDown
or even the or even on the pay per views,
Like you don't even see it from those aspects. So

(24:15):
the other thing that I like as well for you
gear heads out there, I know there's a decent amount
of you guys that like thinking about tech and all
of that. Right now, at the end of the day,
you can have all the tech that you want, everything
still comes down to good old fashioned lighting set up,

(24:38):
how your stage is set up, all of that that
that means just as much because you can go and
get However, you know, eight thousand dollars for your equipment,
and like, it don't matter if you ain't got the
lighting and everything else. Rigs and all that set up
don't mean shit. But when you look at from a

(25:01):
media production standpoint, I like this direction with AW because
WWE they always go for the high loss and the
spectacle and AAW use the same caliber broadcast cameras that
you would typically see at NBA games, but their directors

(25:23):
told a different story. And again it goes back to
you know more, Grid and I could really go very
technical technical on you guys as far as the equipment
that I suspect AAW had used for Forbid and Door,

(25:43):
but I don't want to lose a lot of you guys, right,
But man, because I'm sitting down and I'm looking at
this and I'm going, what are they doing here? What
is WW? What specifically is AAW doing here for the
Forbid and Door? You know, what type of cameras are
they using? And like typically from what I understand, unless

(26:06):
it's incorrect as of now at the time, we're doing
this show. Last I heard when it comes to their
AEW live events, they usually tap into turner crews to
help them out with the shows. But just with Forbid
and Door, this seemed like the beginning of a new

(26:26):
era in media wrestling consumption there for AAW and its
respective fans, I would suspect that as far as equipment goes,
I would imagine there was a Sony I think it's

(26:47):
called a Sony A if you bear with me a second. Like,
I know for a fact WWE is using cannon cameras.
I know that for sure. But as far as like
what specific type of cannon camera they're pushing, I couldn't
tell you, but I know for certain, aw, they are

(27:10):
pushing some steady cams. They're definitely pushing a sony A.
I want to say, AC, I can't think of the
last couple of digits. But when you throw that in
as well as your filters and all that, my god,
just pretty man, just just pretty so love that. Loved

(27:32):
all of that. It finally felt like I was watching
a legit wrestling company. It didn't feel amateur ish. It
did not feel like a wannabe. It did not feel
like I was watching a alternative. It felt as though

(27:56):
if I was that casual wrestling fan and I'm just
flipping through the chain, What the hell is this? Wait
a minute, let me stop for a second, let me
see what's going on here. Still a couple of quirky
audio issues here and there from you know what, I
kind of noticed, But for the most part, everything was,
you know, was good. Some of the matches. I'll give

(28:19):
you guys some quick thoughts on some of the matches
that I had saw from this event. Let me pull
up the car real quick. Here I thought I had
this already ready to go. Sorry about that, guys, all right,
so let's talk forbidden door. Give me that real quick.
I made it all the way up until right at

(28:41):
the beginning of Timeless Tony Storm taking on Athena. I
had to clock out right there. I tried, but this
was long. This was a long event. It was four
hours thirty four minutes. And just imagine trying to watch
that early in the afternoon. Actually, I got the head started,
I would say, right at about eleven in the morning,

(29:03):
and then I had the pause, run a couple of errands,
come back, watch a little more, then pause again, go back,
do a couple more errands, come back, take care of
my girls, right, do some stuff around the house, then
you know, try to watch. I got burned out after
a little bit because it was a lot to consume

(29:26):
in everything but the Paragon. Actually, I won't even talk
about that. That was the pre show stuff. I haven't
even watched Zero Hour yet. Yeah, I watched the main
car Adam Copeland, Christian Cage defeating kill Switch, Keep Saving.
Remember we hadn't seen kill Switch Lucasaurus Russell, and like

(29:47):
over a year, he was dealing with some serious health problems.
So it definitely put a big smell on my face
to see the big guy back in the ring again,
knocking on wood for him, hoping that he stays pretty
healthy this go round. Copeland Cage felt as though they
didn't miss a beat. I love this current story arc

(30:12):
of seeing them trying to work things out. I love
that Christian Cage well, what is he now? Asshole? I
love that they put that in his Titan Tron image
when he was coming out. I popped hard over that
good stuff. Cal Fletcher gave one of the best angering

(30:33):
performances at Forbid Indoor. I personally felt in his victory
against Promo Takahashi for the AAWTNT Championship, of which he retained,
dude looked like a fucking stud. Speaking of studs, Brian Danielson,

(30:53):
I got to give him mad props. Great job on commentary.
I love that Brian Danielson has been utilize more and
more on commentary and it's so refreshing to see and
hear other wrestling fans latch onto that and give him
his props and say, ah, the little nuances, the way
he's able to and yes, I'm not taking anything away

(31:14):
from Brian Danielson, and yes, the way Brian Danielson breaks
it down, he does it in a does it in
a way where he's not insulting your intelligence. But at
the same time he's speaking to you as if you
already know what's up, You already know the playbook, you
know what time it is, and he's just basically you know,

(31:38):
it's kind of like you guys are just comparing notes,
you're going back and forth. But let's not also forget
that Nigel McGinnis who's been at commentary for a couple
of years now. He literally has been doing that same role.
Although if you wanted to make an argument, I don't
really pay too much attention to Nigel McGinnis because he
sounds like a smug asshole, whereas Ailsen sounds more conversation. Though,

(32:02):
I'll see you on that Mercedes Monet. So this girl
now has eight belts or is it nine belts? I
lost the track. I believe it's nine belts because she
got the Royals Guard welcome or whatnot. I mean to
see all those all those guardsmen with the belt. There

(32:23):
was like eight belts right there, and then she comes
out she's got a belt around her waist. So let
me see if I got this straight. Right, So, Mercedes Monette,
this was a good match, don't get me wrong. And
I'm gonna give all the women their flowers in a
hot little bit, but let me just see if I
got this straight. So each woman was representing a different promotion. Okay, yeah, CMLL,

(32:47):
you had stardom and all of this. Of course, I'm
talking about the match against Alex winsdor Bozilla and Persephone
Fatal four Way. But this wasn't for all all those belts. No, no, no, no,
this wasn't even for the CMLL or the stars or
stardom or whatever the hell other belts. She wont you

(33:09):
know the Crackerjack Box Championship right now? This was just
for the AWTBS Championship. I just balled out in laughter.
I really really did. And I think it was land
Storm that brought up a really really valid point, which was, yeah,

(33:31):
that's great, and I'm paraphrasing the great land Storm, one
of my all time favorite technicians. He goes, yeah, that's
great that she's winning these championship belts and everything. It
kind of makes her look like a badass and all that.
But she's winning these belts and it's from promotions that

(33:52):
fans have never even heard of, and winning all these belts,
it just kind of makes her them off more comic
cold than and get I get where he's coming from.
And to that, I would add to that, Yeah, you know,
not for nothing, but we're not seeing some of these talents. Now. Look,

(34:15):
I'll give myself an out. Aw hardcore fans, you let
me know, you chat me and everybody else up on this,
but it's not like we're hearing on a weekly basis.
Somebody from these other promotions in which Mercedes Monette is
the champion of is popping up on AW programming. Go

(34:36):
you bitch, I want a championship shot. I had to
come to you. So here I am on your turf.
Let's go like unless it's kind of one of those okay,
you know, I scratch your back, right, I scratch your
back and I'll scratch yours right. I scratch you scratch right,

(34:57):
meet each other halfway. Ah ah. It does come off
very very comical, It really really does. That's not taken
away from Mercedes Monette as a wrestler. I think she
has been phenomenal. The first couple of months we were
right here on the show. First couple of months of

(35:18):
her and aew, it kind of seemed as though she
was trying to find her footing and all that really
kind of break in this CEO character. And after about
month three, month four, she really started hitting that mother
in the high gear and she's been on a roll
since then. But pretty comical how she came out there

(35:40):
nine fucking belts look feeds great into the character ego,
the whole presentation in general. It really really feeds into that.
But this was for the TBS Championship. Bozilla, I was
really really impressed by. I can hear some of our
veteran listeners right now, Lee, you always got for the

(36:00):
big women. You damn skippy, you damn skippy.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
Just get Hey, Hey, give me a Saturday night with
me and Bozilla pulling up to uh A Checker's drive through.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
You're like, baby, what you want? You know you want
a couple of you want a couple of those two
for six? You know you want the two for six?
What what you want? Baby? My tree? My tree? No,
that Bozella.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Yo.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
She is man. She is something else, isn't she? For
those of you that watched Forbidden Doors, she is something else.
That was my first time seeing her. I didn't even
get a chance to look up online stuff UH for
her and everything and try to get a feel beforehand.
I pretty much went into this ice code and man.

(36:54):
So she's currently signed to UH World Wonder Ring Stardom
and she's only been there for like, I think, just
a hot little bit. She was on the German independent
scene as of like twenty twenty two. From what I
was reading about her earlier tonight in preparation, you know,

(37:15):
talk about a hero on the show and everything. Twenty
one years old, Let that sink and twenty one years old,
and just look at how she was in the ring.
You can't help but be amazed at that. Now, obviously
she still has a long way to go, a long

(37:36):
way to go. But based on what I saw of
her in the ring, and I like that she was
given so much of an opportunity of offense. That said
to me that the people that were in charge of
booking this match, that they confidently saw enough of her
and said, yeah, you know, we can definitely make her

(37:58):
be like a really good point and really making this
match go down the way it needs to go down.
And whoever was in charge of booking this match, they
did it beautifully because majority of this match we saw
a lot of gang up there on Bozilla, right down
to the point when you look at the final moments

(38:20):
of that match, think about you, who did Mercedes Monet
beat to retain her TBS Championship. I mean that really
tells you all you need to know. And of course
if you know you're wrestling like that, then you know
Bozilla's father, alf Herman, you know, legendary wrestler best known

(38:40):
for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling, was part of
the full blood of Italians and all that. Yeah, yeah,
that mother lover, you know, he's the one that's had
a really big hand in training her and all that.
Very very bright career ahead of this woman, for sure,

(39:01):
she's done a lot of wrestling one the independence overseas.
That also includes wrestling on the Japanese independence circuit as well,
So I saw quite a decent amount. I'm curious if
WWE at some point has even had this woman come
under their radar. If not, what a huge, huge, fumble

(39:27):
because Tony conn and crewe sign that woman asap, do
whatever you got to do. That's a damn good piece
to add to your women's division, especially as far as
a long term investment goes and all that. Mohammad and
the chat will Brian daniel simby doing commentary full time,

(39:52):
full time more permanently, well full time slash permanently, you
can almost kind of look at that as interchangeable kind
of the same thing there, Mohammed, I'm not really sure.
I mean, I think the way you really need to
ask that is from a wrestling fan perspective. You know,
what does the wrestling fan want? What's their preference? Would

(40:15):
they like to get Brian Danielsen on commentary permanently or
I mean me personally, I don't need Brian Danielsen on
commentary permanently. I don't need that. That for me is
not the best proper utilization of Brian Danielson. The best
and proper utilization of Brian Danielsen would be to have

(40:39):
him in a backstage coaching, producing booking role, basically what
he's been doing these past couple of years, working side
by side with Tony Kahn. That's what he needs to
continue to do. AW has a phenomenal, phenomenal roster of commentators.

(41:02):
I mean, come on, man Ian Rick Abani. We've got Excalibur,
we have TAZ, and if anything, we need to make
sure we're utilizing TAZ even more. We have Nigel McGinnis.
I didn't catch the name of the gentleman that had
came out for a couple of New Japan matches. I

(41:24):
know during the I know during the Harumu Takahashi Kyle
Fletcher match. He was one commentary for that one. It's
an American guy, really really loved what I was hearing
from him. If Tony Kahn maybe wanted to see, if

(41:47):
you know, maybe sometimes he could get access to him.
I mean, he'd be a nice little addition from time
to time calling certain New Japan AW crossover matches because
we have seen our fair share of them play out
on Collision and Dynamite. So if you maybe wanted to
have him come in, not really going to put him

(42:09):
that much of a bad spot travel itinery wise, and
he can pull it off. You know, he's good. I mean,
of course, you got Jim Ross. I lost track of
what's happening with Jim Ross and his contractual status with AW.
I know he did say publicly that he is working

(42:29):
with Tony conn in aew he really doesn't want to
go anywhere else. He's hoping that they can iron out
a new deal. He's hopeful that a new deal will
be ironed out. But if they are able to iron
something out, Jim Ross is definitely somebody you can tap
into as well. So as far as Brian Danielson on

(42:53):
commentary on a full time or on a semi like,
I don't think it's needed. I really really don't think
it's needed. If anything, I would say it needs to
be done in a way where it makes all the
sense in the world for Brian Danielson to be on commentary,

(43:13):
whether it's a case where, gee, I don't know, maybe
John Moxley comes up to him and says, won't you
be on commentary for my match against And I'll show
you how it's done. I'll show you what I mean
by verhicular manslaughter, whatever the hell like whoever Moxley is
gonna murder for that respected week?

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Right?

Speaker 1 (43:35):
But yeah, so hopefully that asks you your question. See
who else Alex Winsdor, that's somebody that I've been checking
out off and on for the past a couple of years.
I know she did a little bit of stuff there
for the NWA promotion, but she's done some stuff for

(43:56):
Rev Pro, for Eve. She was at one time the
undisputed British women's champion as well. She's relatively young as well,
she's thirty one, but she's been add it. My god,
she hopped out there in the late two thousands, like

(44:17):
I want to say, around two thousand and seven, two
thousand and eight, maybe two thousand and nine is when
she jumped out there, but she's been at it that long.
Love her work, she's pretty good. Who else and then
of course my girl Persafena. I've seen her off and
on the past couple of years, definitely with CMLL and everything.

(44:41):
She also wrestled in TRIPLEA, so I'm definitely familiar with
her work. She's a young one as well, twenty four,
twenty four years old. Great women's match. One of my
favorite women's matches. Now that's reserved until like get ready
to see the Tony Storm and Athena match, but definitely

(45:08):
I enjoyed the hell out of that. Zach Saber Junior
defeating Nige McGinnis to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Great old school technical style type of match. Broddo Brody
Kingham Bandido defeated the Hurt Syndicates Bobby Lashley and Shelton

(45:30):
Benjamin and FTR in a three way to become your
new AW World Tag Team champions. Meanwhile, Kuzuske Okada retained
the AW Unified Championship against Swerve Strickland. That one was
another match that was pretty good as well. Some chatter

(45:52):
about the status so Swerve Strickland. Apparently he has been
dealing with some type of a meniscus injury. I believe
I'm hearing right from what's being reported by our usual
reputable friends in the wrestling news world. And as a
result of that, he is likely to be taking some

(46:12):
time off because he's going to be getting some surgery.
I don't know how accurate that is. I have yet
to hear Swerve strickly and officially say something. I know
he's a respected podcast himself. I have not heard him
say anything of that magnitude. But whatever is going on,
and if it is going to involve some surgery, hopefully

(46:35):
that surgery is not only successful, but most importantly, he
makes a speedy recovery. So that's where I stopped. So
if you keep in track, only three more matches that
I have to watch, which is the timeless Tony Storm
versus Athena for the AW Women's Championship, Hayman Page defending

(46:56):
the AW World title against MJF and then the Golden
Lovers taking on the Death Riders in a lights out
steel cage match. So maybe what can happen, Maybe what
can happen later on in the week If I end
up deciding I want to do maybe a bonus show

(47:18):
or maybe just revisited on this weekend's wrestling with the topics,
I'll definitely follow up give you guys my overall thoughts
on those last couple of matches. But no, I would
say and encourage to anybody that hasn't seen AW Forbidden
Door watch it. I don't care how you got to
do it. I don't care if you got to hit
up a friend and go over to a friend's house

(47:39):
watch it on their pay per view. You know, whatever,
do whatever you gotta do, Go do a VPN, go
get a torn I don't care what you gotta do.
Right anytime, you hear me saying, Yo, you need to
watch this. Don't take that at least just over exact. No,
take it to heart. When I say go watch this,

(48:01):
I really mean go watch this. It was good. It
made me definitely go okay. And not for nothing. I
have been coming around more and more to AW within
recent weeks. I've watched a couple of dynamites here and
there just to see what's been going on, and I've
been liking what's been happening with the show. But with

(48:22):
what happened with Forbidden Door over the weekend, it just
really really took it to a whole new level. I
gotta tell you, so kudos to AW. Keep the momentum going.
That's all I have to say. Keep the momentum going,
all right. So that's that. Also we had because this

(48:42):
news is just now starting to catch a little bit
of buzz. And I'm not sure how many of you
guys are aware of this, but I definitely want to
show the promotion NWA some love because NWA they recently
had their seventy seventh anniversary show. This mayd went under

(49:02):
the radar for some of you guys. I know at
one point we religiously had talked about the NWA promotion.
The reason why we stopped the main reason why we
stopped covering the NWA promotion was because there really wasn't
enough traction of a following for our NWA standalone individual

(49:26):
coverage and it was confusing the hell out of listeners
because whenever they would get the ding notification that I
was live, they would think they could just pop in
and rightfully, so, right they're thinking they can come in
and they could talk WW, they could talk about AW
and when they realize what's on the menu for that
evening is NWA, It's like this is over my head.

(49:52):
I don't know nothing about this, and so they would
dip out. But I do want to show some love
to the NWA promotion. They did their seventy seventh and
versary show out in New York. They did the event
almost two weeks ago, but people are just now starting
to hear about. I guess because they finally televised it

(50:13):
or something. You guys gotta forgive me, because last I
had heard WAYNWA would operate. They would film a whole
bunch of stuff weeks in advance and then they would
release it on a particular Weekend or whatnot. By quick
results from this one, I want to go over the
main card for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. A

(50:36):
Alex Taylor defeated Rich Swan. Meanwhile, the Cologns defeated Blunt Force, Trauma,
the Nightmare Syndicate and the slime Balls four way tag
match elimination match to determine the number one contenders to
the NWA World Tag titles. Meanwhile, Brian Idled defeated Joe

(51:02):
Ocassio for the NWA World Television Championship. Now that lets
you know how long it's been since we covered the
NWA promotion, because remember who was the television champion last
when we were covering NWA religiously, it was Titus. It

(51:25):
was Titus that was the television champions. So been a good,
good minute there. Elsewhere, Spencer Slade, Damien Fanier and Louke
Curtis defeated the Loss UH and Father James Mitchell sixth

(51:47):
man tag match. There's no way Father James Mitchell was wrestling,
but it looks like Spencer Slade, Damian Finier and Luke
Curtis defeated the Loss. That's the name of the stable
that Stable consists of Alex Misery, Crazy Steve, and Lev Elsewhere,
Damian Fanier defeated Luke Curtis and Spencer Slade in a

(52:11):
three way match to determine the number one contender for
the NWA Junior World Heavyweight Championship. Elsewhere, my Man Hammerstone,
Love Me Some Hammerstone defeated Carrie Morton singles match. Elsewhere,
Aaron Steve Is and Carson Drake. Carson Drake defeated The

(52:34):
Holy Grail, That's EC three and Pretty Boy Smooth tag match.
Tiffany Nevins looks like she got a victory over Sierra
c Who is that Serena? I apologize Serena. NWA World

(52:55):
Women's Television Championship. Tyler Stevens won a Universal Heartthrob Invitational
Gauntlet to determine the number one contender for the NWA
National Heavyweight Championship. Mike Mondo defeated Memes singles match for
the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. Team NWA JCP and the

(53:23):
Country Gentleman defeated Team NWA. Crossfire eight person tag match.
Baron von Storm defeated Daisy Kill. Now Here's where it
counts the most. We got a new NWA Worlds Women's Champion,

(53:43):
Natalia Markova defeated Kinsey Page. Talk about a upset there.
You know, when I was watching NWA for that long
stretch there, I saw when Natalia Markov when she first
came in, very promising, easy on the eyes. I know

(54:06):
some people they don't really care for the level of
what they feel was excessive cosmetics, because you know, when
you look at her, and you can definitely look at
her lips and she's definitely done something to her chest,
and some would speculate she's done something to her hips
maybe or butt. Look, I don't know. You know, I

(54:26):
think she's attractive though, I think she's cute, but then
there's no butts. I didn't mean to put a conjunction
in there her. No. When I saw her first come in,
you know, I thought she was pretty solid as a wrestler.
And it seems that the feedback for her being the
new NWA Worlds Women's Champion, it's been universally praised. It's

(54:50):
been universally praised. A lot of people feel that she's
come a long way. She's improved tremendously as an entering
talent and everything. And you guys, are already familiar with
Kinsey Page. I mean, she's pretty much hit up all
the promotions and everything. I love me some Kinsey Page.
She's awesome. She held down at NWA Women's Championship for

(55:14):
a good minute there. Meanwhile, Max d and Payler lost
to Niha in a street fight The Immortals Cradles and
Otison all time one of my all time favorite underrated
gems of a tag team. They defeated Knox and Murdoch

(55:35):
tag match for the NWA World Tag titles and in
the main event match. And this was right at about
the time when I think I'm trying to think, no,
he was not. He was not the NWA World Champion
when we were last covering NWA regularly. But Tom Ladimir,

(55:58):
the way he was being position it seemed as though
he was definitely gonna be next in line. Tom Latimir
for a long, long stretch. There was the NWA World
Heavyweight Championship. He lost that title at NWA's seventy seventh
anniversary show to Thrill Billy Silas Mason. Silas Mason is

(56:19):
your new NWA World Heavyweight Championship and he's been the
Silas Mason guy. He I don't know that much about him.
I really got to poke my head in NWA and
see what all is going on, But seems that he's
universally been praised as well. So sounds like overall from

(56:40):
just some of the chatter not only that I've seen online,
but I actually know a couple of people that regularly
attend these NWA shows. I did a little bit of
asking around, and you know, it's like, give me the
real scoop. What's four one one here? And no? No,
definitely good. So nice to hear that. Billy Corbin and

(57:03):
Billy Corgan and crew. They did good. By the way,
I cannot wait for the Smashing Pumpkins, Machina and Friends
box set to be released. I think it's either getting
ready to drop this week or it's getting ready to
drop next week, but they're re releasing it. And then

(57:25):
for you guys that remember back in the day, there
was a follow up album to that that never did
get a official proper release, and what Billy Corgan decided
to do he would upload the sequel to torrents and online,

(57:45):
and I remember for a brief time it was even
available directly on their website and you were able to
download that album Mashena too, and apparently Smashing Pumpkins. They
are going to be getting ready to release this really
cool box set now as it stands, right now, this
box set which costs like somewhere between three to four
hundred dollars, it's only available on Billy Corrigan's restaurant's website

(58:13):
because he's got this local restaurant that's out in Chicago,
and so like, the only way you can get that
box set right now is over there now before anybody goes, oh,
but they're getting ready to put this out on vinyl.
They're gonna put this out on CD. Yeah, but you're
not gonna get all the shit that yeah, because I

(58:33):
think with what you're buying from Billie's Direct restaurant, you're
getting like I think eighty to ninety tracks total, and
what's currently available for physical media outside of his restaurant's website,
you know you're gonna basically tap into only about maybe

(58:56):
thirteen fifteen songs, So you're not getting the true league rail.
If you want to ask me straight up, Lee, is
it worth if you got the income, If you got
the income, If you don't have the income, I would
say maybe wait for a little bit. Somebody probably on

(59:16):
YouTube will maybe upload some of that stuff so you
can check it out. And then, of course there's always
at a later date, maybe Billy Corgan and crew, maybe
they'll do something with Spotify or whatever, and you know,
maybe they'll they'll hook us up that way. I do
want to hear it. I do want to hear the stuff.
I'm just not sure if I'm willing to drop right,

(59:38):
I don't know. That's an excessive A lott of money,
a lot of money, all right, So let's talk WWE Raw.
Switch gears up, talk about WWE Raw. So that was
all the weekend stuff that happened, the main weekend stuff,
well besides the stuff that went down with Roger Jackson.
We'll circle back to that. I don't forget about that.

(59:58):
We'll circle back to that. New stuff has happened with that.
Let's bang out the talk of WWE Raw first though.
Get that out the way, and we'll definitely have ourselves
some fun, some really really good stuff that we'll talk about.
So Monday Night Raw for this week came to us

(01:00:24):
good old UK. As ww continues to be on their
UK tour. This show came on at a special start
time of three pm Eastern here in North America, twelve
pm Pacific on the West coast, Birmingham, England. Great crowd,

(01:00:44):
grey fricking crowd. Man. Just and remember this was the
go home show for this weekend's Clash in Paris and
Clash in Paris is going to be going down Sunday.
If I'm not mistaken, I'll actually poke my head later on,
give you guys the full card rundown. How that's looking

(01:01:07):
and everything and uneventful episode, But what really carried me
for this whole show was that angling crowd, infectious energy
all throughout the show. And you know, that's the thing
whenever there has been a mediocre WWE show between Rawl SmackDown,

(01:01:33):
you can always depend on that UK crowd to carry
the fuck out of it, and that's exactly what was
the case here for this episode. I love that after
weeks upon weeks, we finally had Roman Reigns come out
and speak. I mean this was really him speaking for

(01:01:54):
the very first time since being punked out by Bronson
Reid a couple of times there. And the timing of
this couldn't have been better because there's only but so
many times you can get punked out, bitched out before
your man card is in check, it's questionable. So it

(01:02:15):
was nice that we had Roman Rains come out there
and pretty much acknowledge that. And you know, I'm sure
that the promo that Roman Reigns maybe had in mind initially.
He had to just adjust on the fly and go
with the flow because this angling crowd was really letting

(01:02:38):
Roman here as far as their affection, their respect, their
love for the man and everything. And Roman talked about
how he has big plans for the rest of this
year and next and that you know, he is trying
to be realistic with himself at the same time, which

(01:03:00):
is maybe he's just not the same anymore, to which
the angling crowd says back to him, no, you know,
you still are. And he tried to get into the
whole scenario of Cody Roach predicted a year ago that
all of this was going to happen, that I wasn't
going to have a wise man, that I wasn't going

(01:03:21):
to have the bloodlines, which the crowd actually booed Cody Rhodes.
Roman then tried to switch gears talk about and you know,
credit to Rummy Rains, you know, because I say this
time and time again, which is you want to learn
how to cut a really good promo. You want to
learn how to really feed into the crowd, use it

(01:03:43):
to your advantage, playoff of the crowd. You know, you
can't teach it. You just gotta be able in time.
You gotta be able to just learn how to adapt.
And when you're constantly in front of a live crowd
and you're constantly being tested, you're always Now, there's no
such thing as the perfect segment, the perfect promo, because

(01:04:08):
there's always okay, what could we have done for improvement?
That is definitely one thing I learned in media production.
It's like, even long after the live performance or the
pre recorded performance is over, you're always looking at, Okay,
what could have been done differently from a talent perspective,
what could have been done differently from a technical perspective,

(01:04:32):
you know, all things lighting, stage, audio, like you name it.
And so to see Roman Reigns in this position where
again you just kind of feel like, if this crowd
wasn't what was the original promo, he was maybe going
to try to lean into here, but for the crowd

(01:04:56):
to react to him, and constantly you've seen with your
own eyes. Wrestlers out there trying to get through their promo.
Crowd is saying whatever. Wrestler does not acknowledge the crowd.
They're just trying to power through their promo. Lyral Valkyria
is a prime example of that. Roman on the other hand,

(01:05:17):
you know, when they started booing Cody, I mean, right
on cue, the timing was perfect. He goes, oh, I
wasn't expecting that. Then he switches gears and he rings
up seth Rawlins and he's like, what's the name of
this thing? He's calling it now? The Vision? You know, Yeah,
I see it. Yeah, crowd's instantly booing right there. So

(01:05:40):
that was a nice little rebound there by Roman. I
don't know if that was unintentional or what, but I
thought that was a nice rebound. But yeah, he talked
about how he, you know, is pretty much a one
man band now and everything, while also at the same
time acknowledging the fact that jay Uso has gone through

(01:06:02):
so much and look at where he is now and
how he's extremely proud of him and everything, but that
at the same time, his time, Roman reigns time will
come he will be a world heavyweight champion again, to
which Paul Hayman interrupted. Hayman and Big Bronson Reid and everything.

(01:06:25):
Hayman trying to give a little bit of tough love
to Roman Reigns, but Roman wasn't having any of it. Instead,
we got the real meat and potatoes of this segment
where Roman and Bronson trading off words and everything. Here
Bronson's saying the Roman reigns, unlike you, Roman, you know

(01:06:46):
you win and got all that ink done it on
your body. Me, I actually earned all of these tattoos,
to which Roman goes, oh, so wait, so you're trying
to tell me we're actually in fact family were actually related. Well,
if that's the case, won't you go on ahead, you know,

(01:07:07):
do the rightful thing here, and won't you come on
down here, you know, return my shoes, go ahead, acknowledge me,
apologize and all that, and you know we'll consider this
all eva And yeah, Bronson Reed wasn't having any of that.
Roman taking the fight right to the big guy. These
guys brawling it out love. This This is how you

(01:07:29):
have Roman Rains. Not that there was ever an issue
with Roman Rains and his come uppings, but if you
really just take a step back, right and you really
just think about this from an elementary school standpoint. Damn, son,
your shoes got jacked twice. When you're gonna pull up
and take care of your business. It almost reminds me

(01:07:50):
of the very first episode of Power, Raising Canaan shout
out if anybody. I love that series. I love all
the whole Howard universe, but it reminds me of the
very first episode of Raising Canaan. Remember what happened when
Rock found out that Kanaan got beat up at school.

(01:08:13):
I think it was like after school he got beat up.
I think his money got taken or his lunch money,
a shoe, something got taken from him. But I remember
he got beat up and jukebox, you know, she kind
of stood by, but she did try to break up
the fight and check up on Canaan and was like,

(01:08:33):
are you okay? And he just went crying home. And
when Rock found out his mother, she's like, tell me
what happened, and she basically said to him, Okay, grab
your shoes, grab your code, come on, let's go. And
he's like, I don't, like, we're gonna go, let's go,
And so she pretty much told him, look, you're gonna

(01:08:57):
do whatever you need to do by any means necessy
and you're gonna teach that boy and everybody else that's
watching not the fuck with you. And if you don't
take care of your business, you ain't coming home. And
I think at that point Canaan must have been like
maybe ten or eleven years old. And the way Canaan

(01:09:19):
made his comeback, he never got fucked with again. Same rule,
same principle applies here with Roman rings. Like, dude, we've
seen you get bitched out a couple of times there.
Your shoes just literally taken off your feet. Can I
tell you guys something, It's funny. I have not thought
about this story. I'm getting ready to mention to you

(01:09:41):
guys in years. But I remember when I was in
junior high. So this was a long time ago. You
see the gray and my beard now right. I remember
me and my friend Victor. I won't mention his last name,
but I still remember his last name. We would always

(01:10:02):
get together after school and we would go play the arcades.
We would usually go down to Georgetown. We'd go to
time out, or you know, we go visit a comic
book store, or sometimes we would even hop on the
train out here in DC, and we'd go on up
to Silver Spring because they had a really big ass

(01:10:25):
comic book store up around that way. Shout out if
you know what I'm talking about from back in the day,
was over there pretty much by what was that city
place I think it was that was called back then,
you know, And back then they had a long John
Silver Not so many of them around here nowadays. Anyway,

(01:10:47):
there was this kid named Brian Lomax. I'll never forget
this dude. I mentioned this name confidently because this dude
is either in a body bag, incarcerated, or he's homeless,
like he's one of those three. Okay, so I can
mention his name confidently. He used to be this guy

(01:11:10):
named Brian Lomax. He was the neighborhood bully. He was
the school bully too. This ties back to Roman Reigns.
Bronson Reid stayed with me. Bronson Reid, I swear he
reminds me so much of Brian Lomax. So, Brian Lomax

(01:11:30):
had a reputation for coming up to you going you
got any money, and he would just go right into
your fucking pockets. Okay, And so anybody that has watched
any of the Friday Movies. Okay, uh you think about uh,

(01:11:51):
what's that big ballhead dude? Yeah, you know exactly who
I'm talking about, Zeus whatever his character's name was, Right,
dude knew he could punk the hell out of Chris
Tucker's character. But ice Cube was more laid back, and
one one gonna happen with ice Cube. Right. So, whenever

(01:12:14):
Brian Lomax, would you see me, he go a Lee,
you got any money, I'd be like, nah, man, I'm
broke as fuck. Man, Mom's food stamps already gone. Man,
I'm like you, I'm hungry man, nigga trying to eat.
Brian be like, yeah, yeah, I hear, I hear. Didn't
he look at my friend Victor? What about you? Victor?
You got some money? And Victor, you know, Hispanic, Hispanic kid,

(01:12:38):
and he's like, no, they don't have any money, and
you know, spoke very fluent English, but he just sounded like,
you know, he sounded like you could you could fuck
him up easily, right. And I'll never forget because one
time we were kicking back in front of our favorite
corner store, drinking our little soda pops, nibbling on our

(01:13:02):
chips and all that. In my case, I was nibbling
on dollar fifty used to get you this big ass
basket of cheese fries at this corner store that was
down in Mount Pleasant. It's right next to a Laundromat
longest time there was a launder mat. I don't know
what the hell is there now anyway, So Brian Lomax,

(01:13:25):
you know, yeah, them fries, that soda, that shit looked good.
I wish I could have some of that too, And
I remember I said, well, here, Brian, you can you
have the rest of my soda. I was like, you
can have some of my fries. I was just nice
that way. The way I was raised, it was like,
kill a motherfucker with kindness. If you kill them with kindness,

(01:13:45):
they won't really know how to respond to you. So
they'll they'll either rise to the occasion and match that energy,
or they'll just leave you alone. And whenever I would
come at Brian like that, Brian would just no, I'm good, Yeah,
what about you, Victor, you got some money? Like, no,
I don't have any money. You know, I spent my

(01:14:07):
last little bit and I'll never forget. Brian Lomax pushed
Victor on his ass. And he was like, give me
some money. Victor looks at me, he goes, aren't you
gonna help me? I said, yo, you got to learn
how to fight your own battles. He's like, I'm always

(01:14:27):
fighting your battles. It's like this goes against and his
mom even told me. His mom was like, watch my son,
protect my son, make sure no harm comes to him.
But he needs to learn how to defend himself. The
guy was taking martial arts classes. This guy had a
fucking brown belt in taekwondo. So I'm ready for this
dude to break out the Mortal Kombat power Ranger moves like,

(01:14:51):
you know, I'm ready for him to go there, like
he doesn't even do it. And I remember Brian Lomax
grabbed Victor's ankle and he literally put him. You know,
at that time, you know, nobody was thinking of current
angle and the ankle lock. You just go, oh, some

(01:15:12):
type of a weird lig submission, you know. But Lomas
actually had Victor in this weird ankle lock. And as
he's twisting the fucking angle, this is broad daylight, middle
of the damn street, and as he's twisting one to
the ankle, he's torquing it, and Victor is literally screaming

(01:15:33):
and and all of that, and there's like crowds of
people that's gathering there, laughing and all that shit. Lomax goes,
what's this And he feels this bulge that's around Victor's suck,
pulls out a big ass water cash and while Victor
was still hollering and all of that, Lomax goes, oh shit,

(01:15:57):
are these the new Jordan's you know, nikes or whatever.
He's like, oh, he's new. And he actually takes that
shoe off, takes the other shoe off, and Victor stands
up crying, I mean just tears streaming down his face.
Victor's looking at me and I told him, I said,

(01:16:18):
you gotta handle this man. It's like, what are you
gonna do? It's like your card's your card's been pulled,
Like what are you going to do? All this dude
did was cried and ran his asshole. Yeah. Man, that's

(01:16:39):
Bronson Reid. That's Bronson Reid. So you gotta you gotta
know when to hold him no, when to fold, no,
when to walk away, no, when to run you better
or no? When to beat somebody's ass when they're standing
right in front of you, because baby, when it's time
to drop a nigga, you gotta get the deal done. Honestly,

(01:17:04):
Why that didn't happen to me? Honestly because I had
the reputation. I didn't care who you were. I didn't
care how tall you were. I didn't care how big
you were. I would fight you. I was always getting
in trouble at the principal's office, like seriously, it got
to a point where it was like, damn, Lee's been
suspended again, you know, so like and I guess it
wasn't so much a fear thing when it came to me.

(01:17:25):
I think it was more like, no, this dude will
actually stand his ground, so don't. Well, like what was
I supposed to do? Some of you guys maybe be
like leader, you were a really bad friend. But if
the freaking moms is telling me, do not interfere in
his fights. And to prove my point, to prove my point,

(01:17:47):
to my credit, I said the lomax, I said, dude,
I said, I can't understand it. If you need the money,
it's like we all hurt out here, Like I get it.
I was like, but dude, I'm like, come on, his shoes,
Like really, like, did you really have to do that
with his shoes? And he was like, so, what do

(01:18:10):
you want me to do? I said, look, keep the money,
get a man back of shoes. It's like you've already
embarrassed him in his neighborhood. Nonetheless, he's probably gonna be
a laughing stock. People are probably gonna remember him and
then try to see what they could do with him,

(01:18:30):
just as you did. The next time they see him.
It's like, he's probably gonna be so embarrassed that he's
not gonna ever buy anything in this neighborhood again, Get
a man back of shoes. I want to keep the money. Fine,
keep the money, but you'd be doing me a personal favor,

(01:18:51):
you know. Lo Max was like, yeah, I'll give you
the shoes, but you know, nah, you know I'm gonna
keep the money. For sure, I'm gonna keep the money.
I said, well, you go ahead and keep the money.
I was like, but the man, you know, give him
back his shoes. And I told him, I said, you're
done after this. He said, what do you mean, We're

(01:19:12):
done after this? I said no, no, no, you're done after this.
It's like the next time you see him, you don't
acknowledge him, you go in another direction, because I promise you,
now that you've embarrassed him, he will do any and everything,
even if it means he's got to hit up his

(01:19:34):
cousins who are two times older than you. If it
means that he needs to holler at them so they
can make an example out of you, they will do that.
He's like, man, I'm not scared. And I told him
flat out. I said, listen here, I said, Victor may
not be in a gang. Well, some of his family

(01:19:57):
members are. And if he wanted too, if you really
wanted to, your ass would be dead before supper time today.
So doing me a solid. Keep the money, I get
the shoes, but you're done after this because next time

(01:20:20):
you ain't gonna be lucky. It's like, all right, whatever,
And sure enough, Lomax, you know, I never did tell
I never did tell Victor that. But I did tell
his moms about the conversation that I had with Lomax,
and you know, and she appreciated that. She appreciated that.
But yeah, that uh, that Lomax, that's Bronson Reid. Tell

(01:20:43):
me I'm lying. Tell me that's not big Bronson. Reid,
so Roman needs to get them come up, ins Man. Seriously,
I hope you appreciated that, uh, that little bit, because
the rest of Raw sucked. I'm kidding. No, I'm really
not kidding. The rest of Raw was just pretty much yeah.
After that, right down to the point, let's talk about

(01:21:04):
some of these other Let's talk about some of these
other matches that happened on the card for tonight before
we dive into some more wrestling headlines. By the way,
if you guys been enjoying yourself so far, if you
have not done so already, make sure your heart like
all that good jazz, go blow up the YouTube channel,
make sure you hit the subscribe button on that bad

(01:21:25):
boy and everything. Dragon Lee picking up a victory over
JD McDonough. You know the real story of this match, however,
there was a scary ass spot that happened where Dragon Lee.
It seemed like he was trying to go for some
type of a pow driver. Actually no, it seemed like

(01:21:49):
he was trying to go for a power slam, but
then like at the last split second, it turned into
like some weird power slam power driver and JD McDonough
head first back of his head first, You're going, oh shit,
not again, and shout out to referee Jessica Carr. She

(01:22:11):
immediately went to check on him and everything, and he
seemed like he was He was okay and the match
was able to continue shortly after that. That JD McDonough,
that is one tough soob seriously as that is the
poster child for toughness, I gotta tell you, but that

(01:22:31):
power bomb definitely a scary, terrifying spot. Other than that,
you know, putting that to the side. Interesting to see
the judgment day shenanigans at ringside backfire because I remember
at one point Dominic Mysterio tried interfering there, trying to

(01:22:55):
help out JD. But then AJ Styles came from out
of nowhere was taking the ass beaten there to Dominick,
pretty much chasing him out of the arena. Dragon Lee
essentially able to mop things up from there. Set up
a pretty good segment later on in the night where

(01:23:17):
Dominick says to Adam Piers, did you see what happened?
Did you see how aj interfered with my business? Once again?
This has to stop. Tired of this guy. He has
constantly been a thorn in my side for these past
several weeks. This needs to end, to which Adam Pierce says, Yeah,
it's gonna end next week. I'm gonna see you defend
that Intercontinental Championship against aj Styles. So boom, there's your

(01:23:42):
instant act me feud. There pretty much good stuff. By
the way, it's the little things that you may have missed.
Did you all notice when god, what is her name,
I'm trying to think of Jackie Redman, did you guys
notice when Jackie Redman was interviewing La Night way before

(01:24:07):
she interviewed CM Punk, there was a big difference with
her appearance wise. I'm wondering if you all noticed it.
Don't go the tire route, because that's just you're looking
way too hard. I'm gonna point this out, and if
you don't believe me, just go back and just watch

(01:24:28):
these two segments. So, when Jackie Redman is interviewing La Night,
she pretty much doesn't have any makeup on. It's like
practically natural beauty, right down to the point she doesn't
even have her eyelashes, the mascare none of that. And
I remember looking at her going, oh oh, she's not

(01:24:48):
wearing any And I said to myself. Damn, she actually
looks cuter, she actually looks better up at we got
some audio issues. Hang on here, man, what's going on here?
I gave a compliment to our girl, Jackie Redman, and
the next thing, you know, it looked like we kind

(01:25:11):
of got disconnected here. Hang on here. I think I
still got you guys, right, that's weird for some weird reasons.
I just saw like a weird blankout screen. Anyway. No,
so Jackie Redmond, she when she was interviewing La Night,
she didn't have any mascare no makeup on, and I
was like, woh wow. It was a very cute, natural beauty,

(01:25:34):
and it made me go, why all right, how you doing?
What do we got here? Well? What do we got
over here? We got Jackie Redman went out makeup? Well,
how do you do? And then to follow it up
later when she's interviewing Punk. Now she's had time, now

(01:25:55):
she has her makeup on. Some of you guys might
not care, but I thought she looked bad better without
the mess scaring on that. Some women look better without
all that stuff, all that caked up stuff on them
and everything. So makes me think about the hit song
by Alexander O'Neil back in the day. Fake, look that
song up. You'll have a nice little hearty laugh, good

(01:26:16):
good instrumental beats and good lyrics too, good beats too.
But yeah, I don't know how we got on Jackie Redmon.
You know how we got on Jackie Redmond because that
was something I had to point out to you guys.
That's all. Some of you guys may find that irrelevant,
but it's it's all good. Meanwhile, Judgment Day not happy

(01:26:39):
with what happened there with Dominick mysterio, Dominick saying to
Finn Balad and by Judgment Days it's really Finn Ballad.
Finn Ballad taking issue with what happened there with Dominique
mystereo and his involvement there with j D McDonough and
how everything backfires, which Dominick says to Finn, Look this

(01:27:00):
AJ problem. You know this guy very well. Won't you
take care of this problem for me? AJ's like, okay, bet,
I'll see what I can do for you. Instant acne feud.
Later on in the night, AJ styles Finn Balor one
on one matchup. Gotta say, with all the history involved
with these two men, if there was any match on

(01:27:21):
the card for this week's Raw where I honestly said
to myself, Okay, well, if any match is going to
really steal the show in front of this UK crowd,
it's definitely going to be Fenn balor Aj Styles. This
is going to be a damn good classic of a

(01:27:43):
match up here. You know, let's freaking go, not by
any stretch. Now, Look, it wasn't a bad match, Don't
get me wrong. Wasn't a bad match the two of
these guys, whether it's five minutes or because this was
a very short match, the chemistry between these two it's undeniable. Okay,

(01:28:06):
it's undeniable, and you definitely picked it up in this
short little bit of time here that these guys had
this match on. I'm just not sure if the way
to go would have been to have Aj Styles get
a clean victory over Finn Balor the way it had
played out, I mean, he pretty much beat him with

(01:28:28):
the Styles clash. Now, if the narrative that you want
to spend is no, no, no, this feeds into the
overall narrative of what's been happening with the Seeds Planet
and Judgment Day Weekend and week out Baller feeling this
power struggle lack of respect that we've documented over the

(01:28:52):
past two to three week's worth of episodes. If this
is a conduit him losing to AJ the way that
he did, If this is how you're essentially, especially if
you have fim Ballor follow up, and I'm surprised they
did not do this during the same broadcast, maybe they
can kind of redeem themselves and follow up next week.
It'd be interesting to have fim Balor come up to

(01:29:16):
dominic and say, okay, so you can be out there
for JD's match, but you asked me to do you
a favor. I do you that damn favor by taking
on your AJ styles problem? And where are you for me?
How does that work out? Exactly? What the hell? Man?
It's those little nuances that just pick at the back

(01:29:40):
of my head and everything. But we'll see. I'll give WWNL.
Maybe they'll redeem themselves next week. But if they don't
circle back to that type of storytelling and I'm laying
out and they're leaving that wide out there in the open,
that's all I got to say to that. On the
positive side, especially if you're fan of AJ, Okay, we're

(01:30:01):
trying to build up some momentum there for aj Styles,
trying to put him another position where he can ultimately
get another Intercontinental title shot, to which later on during
the show. As I mentioned before, you know we did
find out right, Okay, so you want to build him
up to build some credibility in that match against Dominick
next week. Okay, sure, whatever it is, what it is,

(01:30:25):
I'm down, but I still have my respected issues with that.
Penta taking on Kofi Kingston going through the motion KOFE
Kingston picking up a win rare defeat there for Penta
on Monday Night Raw and everything. I still have no

(01:30:47):
clue whatsoever what the direction is for New Day. It
just seems like they're in limbo. Almost feels the same
way with Penta. I mean, Penta still got the crowd
right there in the palm of his hands and everything,
but it just kind of feels like Penta is almost

(01:31:09):
kind of in that same type of deal there. Meanwhile,
EO Sky comes across Rhea Ripley backstage, lets her know
she appreciated Rhea having her back last week and everything,
but at the same time, she upset her sisters in
the Kobooki Warriors, and that now more than ever would

(01:31:33):
probably be a really good time that they just chill
go their separate ways, just let each other be. Now
off in the cut making a nice little cameo appearance
was the Kobooki Warriors. They saw Eo talking with Rhea.
Rather than come up to both women and find out
what all was going on, they just were looking and

(01:31:56):
pointing and whispering, so pretty sure they were thinking, the
hell is she doing siding with the enemy. Well, later
on during the night we would see how that all
essentially played out, as Kabuki Warriors eventually made their presence

(01:32:20):
felt in the Roxane Perez Ria Ripley match, of which
Rea Ripley picking up a win via riptide ten minutes
and change. Ria really did not need this win. I
personally felt she's definitely in a really weird place right now, because,

(01:32:45):
on the one hand, she's definitely one of the biggest
stars on the WWE roster, make no mistake about it,
but she's already been a Women's champion a couple of times,
so you know, having the bell go back to her,
it just doesn't really seem like feels more like, no,

(01:33:06):
we should really be going in the direction of Roxane Perez.
Really remember what I said about Eo, Sky and Kubuki Warriors.
So postmatch Perez Rodriguez, they go after Ripley. EO comes
out there running for to save Riha appreciates the gesture,
but wait a minute, wait, wait a minute, EO, you
just said we should go our separate ways. I mean

(01:33:31):
cue up to Phil Collins song Separate Lives. I mean,
what the hell? So later on, EO checks in with Ria,
see how she's doing and everything. EO's like, hey, I
know I said what I said, but I owe you
for last week. So now we are officially even. Kobuki

(01:33:53):
Warriors crash the scene, yelling at EO. Car, saying to
be the peacemaker, tries to calm things down between Oscar
and Sky, leads her case. Oscar ain't hearing it. Oscar
storms off yal Sky. She's like, yo, Cary, you gotta

(01:34:18):
trust me here, man, My intention is you know it
was good. I didn't mean no disrespect. Cary's like, I'm
so sorry, and she rolls out so mm hmm. Well,
a lot of a lot of trauma, a lot of
drama going on right there, man, very uh hmm. Honestly,

(01:34:47):
I don't like this angle. I really really really really
don't like this angle. I'm gonna say it again. Oscar's
been back, and the way they just shoved her on
out there, no video packages, no nothing, really wasn't really
wasn't feeling that how they just brought Oscar back. This

(01:35:08):
is one of your most decorated women's champions of all time,
definitely a future first balllet WWE Hall of Famer, and
we just wielder on out there like, oh shit, oh
almost forgot Harry, get on out there while not feeling that.
And then we literally did the same thing to Cary,

(01:35:29):
saying this isn't the way, This is not the way
to go. This just is not the way to go. Now.
Some of you may say, well, Lee, what is the
way that things should be going. I'll tell you the
way things should be going right now. We should be
seeing the Kubuki Warriors, all three of them. We should

(01:35:51):
be seeing them take no fucking prisoners. They should be
running rough shot on the women's division. They should be
going after every single women, every single woman on that
roster that has a championship. I don't care if you're
NXT I don't care if you're evolved. I don't care
if you're the raw SmackDown Women's Champion. Attack like you
a woman, You got a belt, Kabuki Warriors coming after

(01:36:13):
that ass And ultimately it should be a situation where
we see allies in the strangest places. So for instance,
we should ultimately maybe see Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
And.

Speaker 1 (01:36:32):
Maybe just maybe a real Ripley enters the mix if
you really want to plant some seeds there for returning
live Morgan. I can just imagine a live Morgan. What
real Ripley? No hel to the non non no? Right,
But if there was ever a time to really try

(01:36:53):
to shake things up big time, and this is how
you know that WWE isn't really taking the foresight right
now to try to really think and plan ahead as
far as Okay, so what do we do here? Obviously,
losing Naomi just everything that she could have done, and

(01:37:14):
you were starting to see what she could have done
as a character. That's just we're gonna intertwine you with
all of these other rivalries here, right, and she was
starting to do that so masterfully, so beautifully. You know
it sucks because that's a huge void that now needs
to be felled, and you can tell right now Creatively

(01:37:35):
WWE is really really struggling with that big time. Right
down to the point while we're talking about women, Stephanie Vickier,
she is supposed to have this championship opportunity at Clash
in Paris this weekend. Well, queue up the gap bands.

(01:37:56):
You dropped a bomb on me. We find out Pearis
who's talking to her, that yeah, she's old a championship opportunity.
She earned that right, but unfortunately it's not gonna happen
at Clash in Paris. It'll happen at a later date
because he needs to figure out who her opponent is
gonna be to fill that vacancy. But you had seven days,

(01:38:24):
seven whole nights. Ah, what out a word from you,
little Tony Braxton, don't pay me no mind. Well, I'm like, no,
what's going on here? You had a whole plus week
to really iron this out, and pretty much, Yo, we're
gonna do something really cool. We're gonna do something really
kick ass Clash in Paris guaranteed we're getting a new

(01:38:46):
women's champion. That tells you all you need to know
about creatively how wwe I think doing the excessive number
of shows, but most importantly the lack of attention to

(01:39:10):
detail and execution of Okay, so what are we really
doing here with these characters storyline wise? Where are we
really trying to build? Here? You can tell where the emphasis,
as I've mentioned before over the past several weeks, you
can tell where the attention is given and where there
is a lack of And there is a huge lack

(01:39:30):
of with the Stephanie va care situation right because just
look at that. Shouldn't take you a week to try
to figure out. You should already have this ready to go.
I will say this. Say what you will about the
old man, Vince McMahon, But Vince McMahon, his whole thing was, okay,

(01:39:52):
we need to rewrite, even if we got to rewrite
an hour before the show, how are we gonna fix this?
How we gonna make this right? What are we gonna do?
Vince McMahon always had shit mapped out. Even if something
weird happened to one of his stars and he had
to take a week to adjust, he'd be able to

(01:40:12):
adjust shaky grounds that we're in right now with WW
and crew and to Byron's point in the chat about
the Women's World Championship needs a competitive champion. It doesn't
just need a competitive champion. What it needs, as I
mentioned last week, it needs somebody. And again this goes

(01:40:35):
back to what Naomi represented as the Women's champion for
the Monday Night raw side of things. So much plug
and play that you could do with Naomi just by
a simple backstage walkthrough, looks at somebody, scoffs at them, boom,

(01:40:59):
instant act me few. You don't have that polarizing figure
that can be, which is why I said, look, if
you want to go with somebody of a dark horse
or whatnot, when I go the direction of a rock
Sam Perez. But it seems like WW for all intents

(01:41:19):
and purposes, they're still struggling trying to figure out exactly
how they're gonna how they're gonna get to that whole
Women's Championship, how they're gonna smooth that out for what
it's worth. Speaking of women's Bailey get another video vignette
of her continuing down spirro as she's continuing to hear

(01:41:44):
voices in her head and she's getting pretty annoyed with
them now at this point, there's one voice that says
they were successful because they believed in themselves, and another
voice complaints about how the first voice is very insecure
and is a idiot. The middle ground, Bailey is telling

(01:42:05):
both of these voices to shut up because it's pretty
obvious that she's getting annoyed. This transitions into Lyra Valkyria,
who is still coming off like a person trying to
memorize their lines, but at least she had less snitsky.
It wasn't my fault this week, you know. She talks

(01:42:26):
about how she's worried about Bailey. She wants someone to
check on her, and Pierces like, yeah, we're on it.
We're we're handling it, Like, don't worry about it. So
pretty much I was it for that in a nutshell,
I think as far as other matches segments go, I
think that's pretty much it. I'm just checking back in

(01:42:51):
my notes. Yeah. So that pretty much left us with
the main event of the evening, which was La Night
taking on my Man Breaker. Nice nice, nice good match
up there, super Spere Breaker picking up the w here

(01:43:12):
and this one about fifteen minutes. Nice usual run in
involving the vision and everything because postmatch beat Down came
in there numbers game, jay Uso coming in there for
the save vision. They're also beating upso when Punk comes

(01:43:34):
out there for essentially making the real save the vision,
they decide to ball out. On that note, La Knight
see im Punk. They get into it verbally, then they
start shoving one another. One of the shoves, La Knight
is sent bumping in advertently into USO, who's down on

(01:43:55):
his ass. USO gets up, sees what's going on. Punk
and and Night. They're now slugging it out. Eventually USO
super kicks the hell out of La Night. Looks like
Punk and USO are standing toe to toe. Seems like

(01:44:17):
they've got a mutual enemy. Maybe ah USO super kicking
the hell out of CM Punk as Jay Uso stands
tall while seth rawlins looks on, going, Yeah, Hey, they're
doing all our work for us. This is gonna go
down exactly how we needed to go at Clash. They're
doing all the dirty work for us. Let them keep

(01:44:39):
doing it and keep in mind that Jay Usso ended
up being particularly in this position after having a talk
earlier in the night with Roman Rains. As Roman said
to him dude, you've been doing this for like twenty
something years now. I don't know what it is about
your confidence or what's shaking you, but you know what
time it is. You've been to the dance before as

(01:45:00):
a world champion. You need to do the damn thing already,
do it again. You know what needs to be done.
You got to be willing to do whatever it takes,
So go out there, had your business already, and USO
definitely did just that nice groundwork for setting up the

(01:45:22):
go home to clash. But there definitely were elements throughout
this show which we talked about that I particularly didn't
care for one cringe worthy thing during this show. You know,
we were talking about women there. I didn't want to
overkill on women's segment after women's segment, after women's segments,

(01:45:43):
but the Nicky Bella, what the fuck was up with
the Nicki Bella promo? Nicki Bella was saying shit twice,
I mean repeatedly. Go back and watch that promo. You
could tell see it's one thing if you're repeating something twice,
because maybe you're trying to make a point or it's

(01:46:05):
an unintentional you're saying something twice and then there's you
really don't know what you're saying, do you? You really have
no control, You don't have any idea what you want
to talk about, do you? And it's that latter part
that really concerned me about Nikki Bella and her promo
because here's Becky Lynch. She comes out there. Becky has

(01:46:28):
been on a role with her promo work. I gotta
give her her props where it's due. She has really
been cranking it up, leaning very heavily with her promos,
taking it to a whole new other level, this current
incarnation of the man character. I'm really loving it. I
especially look, you have no idea. I'm a huge U

(01:46:49):
two fan. I love Bono. So the jokes that she
was making about Bono last week, I was in tears
with laughter. She's been on a roll, but as great
of a promo as she had for this week's role.
When Nicki Bella came out, you know you're instantly going, okay,

(01:47:11):
all right. The last time we saw these two battle
with the MIC's there, Becky got the got the best.
So let's see what happens here and Nikki Bella. This
was rough. This was a very rough promo. It was

(01:47:33):
so bad I actually left the room. That's how bad
it was. Because I just I and God bless uh
Becky Lynch, just like man, I had to work with this, like, oh, okay,
you know, I guess I'll work with this. But that
fan energy from the UK crime it was really enough.

(01:47:55):
I can't stress it enough. It was really enough to
carry the hell out of this show. Now out programming. Note,
I want to say this before we go any further.
RAW for the next three weeks. Get a load of this,
and by next week, everybody in their mama is going
to be going back to work. They're going to be
back in school beginning a new fall semester or whatever. Right,

(01:48:18):
So next week Monday night RAW over here on the
East coast, West coast two pm eastern eleven am Pacific. Okay,
and then the week after that, because remember football is
supposed to be in effect, it sounds as though RAW
maybe coming on sometime around five, six or seven o'clock

(01:48:41):
in the evening, So as it gets a little bit
more closer to I'll definitely remind you guys, but at
least for next week. Just remember two pm eastern eleven
am Pacific for next week. So Hey, look, Triple H
did warn us that when it came to this Netflix

(01:49:01):
deal they pretty much were gonna be able to plug
and play no matter what. They were gonna be able
to go live anytime like they didn't have to worry
about any restrations, and they have been owning up to
that so far. Let's do this. I want to look
at brief show notes real quick because I think we

(01:49:24):
can now get into the Rajah Jackson stuff. Let's see
actually real quick. Here's how the card is looking for
clash in pairs. I'm not gonna go over match predictions.
I'm actually gonna do that for a separate Probably a

(01:49:44):
YouTube slash TikTok short is what we're likely gonna do.
So you're looking for predictions, it's gonna be on those outlets.
So the card right now for clashing paeris Becky Lynch
defending the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Nikki Bella. Meanwhile, Roman
Rains versus Bronson Reed one on one. Seamus will take

(01:50:05):
on Russeph and a good old fashion Donnie Brooke match. Elsewhere,
seth Rawlins defends his World Heavyweight Championship in the Fatal
four we against CM Punk La Night Jay Uso, and
in your main event match, John Cena takes on well
you would think main event match, but probably not probably

(01:50:26):
the second and last match, but John Cena versus Logan Paul.
That's the card for this weekend's clash in pay Reese.
And again that's going to be going down on August
thirty first, which is a Sunday. Also, let's see regards

(01:50:48):
to that, looks like we can now looks like we
can now go into I thought there is one other
thing I had put here on the show notes, but no,
I thought I mentioned something about WWE and the whole

(01:51:09):
Peacock thing that's really not long winded or anything like
that basically from what I saw, And this may be
kind of noteworthy to you guys, there seems to be
some additional information for why John Cena and the whole

(01:51:32):
Saturday Night's main event while all that is basically going
down now exclusively on Peacock and everything. I'm trying to
see if I can find it and my notes because
I did jot it down, but now I am not.
Now I am not seeing it. Yeah, sorry, guys, I

(01:51:57):
am not seeing it. I think I read something along
the lines of Okay, hang on, let me see because
I think that was important enough to definitely mention to
you guys. So let me see if I can find
it real quick here and if I can't find it, yes,
I found it. Okay, okay. So here are more details

(01:52:19):
on WWE ESPN deal and why Saturday night's main event
was moved to Peacock. All right, so some more information
about this. Shout out to the good folks over there
at the Wrestling Observer, and this has since been kind
of verified so to speak, backed up by other wrestling

(01:52:40):
outlets as well. So it's being reported that the ESPN
deal allows WW to start their next round of negotiations
earlier if media rights fees continue to climb. The current
WW ESPN deal is set to expire in all guts
of twenty thirty. Part of the reason that WW was

(01:53:04):
able to exit Peacock early and move to ESPN starting
with Russell Palooza was because WW negotiated a reduced rate
for what Peacock would have to pay them through March
of twenty twenty six, while still retaining nxtpl's and the
video library for the time being. Peacock will also now

(01:53:28):
be the exclusive home for Saturday Night's Main Event until
October twenty twenty nine, a move that reflects Peacock's desire
to retain WWE subscribers, but also NBC's disappointment in the
show's linear ratings. This report goes on to note that

(01:53:50):
ww reportedly wanted to air John Ceno's final match on
a December twenty seventh edition of Saturday Nights Main Event,
but NBC declined the date, cementing the remaining to twenty
twenty five Saturday Night main events for November one and
Salt Lake City and December thirteenth in Boston. I'm actually

(01:54:10):
on the side of NBC nice that it all pretty
much wraps up in Boston. In addition to Russell Palouozo
on September thirtieth, Crown Jewel on October eleventh, and Survivor
Series on November twenty ninth, which will also air on
the new ESPN app, and ESPN is considering airing portions

(01:54:31):
of the show on their linear channels as a way
to push viewers to subscribe to the app. So look,
as a Peacock subscriber, I'm not surprised to hear this
that NBC is like, well, look, we really aren't that
impressed with the numbers that we're seeing of Saturday night's

(01:54:52):
main event on the main NBC channel. Let's instead push
this as exclusive Peacock streaming content because look, not for nothing,
but one of my favorite shows that I like watching,
non wrestling related, Law and Order, Organized Crime with Christopher Maloney.

(01:55:16):
I love that series. I love that series more than SVU.
That's just me personally, And I know part of the
reason why Organized Crime was moved was because the numbers
weren't as strong as it was in the previous seasons.

(01:55:36):
And not to mention now more than ever, the app,
the app got to push, the app, got to push
the app. We got to get that exclusive content out there.
We need people give them a reason to check out
the app. So, if you're gonna push a show to
a streaming app, right and it's already kind of the

(01:55:59):
numbers aren't really I mean, it's okay, but not enough
to make us want to have it stay where it's
at right now. Let's just put it put it behind
an app instead. Then you're gonna do that, And it's
a smart marketing employee by WW not WW but by
NBC Universe. But It's a very smart move by them
because now with this ESPN deal, yeah, you're gonna have

(01:56:21):
a shit ton of wrestling fans is gonna go, oh well,
no reason for me to keep my Peacock subscription. I
can now bounce and NBC Universal wait a minute, Wait
a minute, Wait a minute, what about So it makes
all the sense in the world that they're doing. It's funny.
I was watching I think I was watching an episode

(01:56:41):
of Colombo the other day and one of my favorite cooks,
I don't know his name, but anytime I would be
watching QVC or HSN, I would see this guy's white guy.
He used to be a big dude, but he's lost
a lot of weight. It's always cooking all kinds of
yummy food. But anyway, apparently he's now back. But you

(01:57:03):
can now check out his cooking adventures on QVC plus
or HSN plus. Right, So everybody and they Mama is
now going to plus route. And that's the whole point
of me bringing all that up, is everybody's going to
plus route. So for NBC Universal to be thinking like this,
obviously they see some type of equity, some type of

(01:57:25):
commodity in WW and they definitely realize the amount of
wrestling fans they I'm sure they're looking at the Poe
numbers and all that, and they're going, look the amount
of people that we're gonna lose. We gotta somehow keep
that money going for us for the next couple of years. Now,
if you're fortunate, however, you may be in a good

(01:57:45):
position where you go, Well, I ain't got nothing to
worry about, because my peacock is free. Like I always
tell you guys, whenever you upgrade your phone or like
the least littlest thing, maybe you put in an order
with Uber Eats or door Dash and you'll get some
weird Hey, we want to give you a free trial
for peacock, you'd be a fool and not take it, right,

(01:58:09):
So I'm not really surprised at that. All Right, let's
talk the latest on this whole Raja Jackson situation. I'm
not gonna spend several minutes rehashing stuff from what was
talked about on Sunday's Wrestling with the topics, right, So
I would really encourage you guys to piggy on back.

(01:58:29):
And but there has been some new developments that's gone
down since then. First of all, to see folks like
Chris Masters, the masterpiece Chris Masters, to see him be
very passionate and vocal about what the hell was going on.
I can't wait to hear Jim Cornett's takeaway on the situation.

(01:58:53):
I've already heard Stevie Richards, but all some of the
things that he had to say was pretty on par
what I was expecting as far as his his outlet,
his outlook on it and everything. You know, just unfortunate
what happened over the weekend. And to see the wrestling community,

(01:59:17):
from the wrestlers to the fans, just everybody collectively comeing
together and just saying, Yo, this is disgusting. This has
no business happening in this industry. This guy needs to
just fuck off. You know. I'm even seeing from those
that I'm very friendly with that I chat with from

(01:59:38):
time to time and that's involved in the business, even
they normally they're not being vocable about stuff like this,
but even they are taking a stance and saying, Yo,
this is straight up disgusting what's going on. Rob van
Dam taking the more unpopular route and saying he's got
Roger Jackson's back, saying, quote so far I got Roger's back,

(02:00:04):
looking forward to talking about it more on my podcast.
Well that's our VD. But now WWE, as me and
TAM's had talked about on Wrestling with the Topics, we
called this w but you'd be surprised, you know, you
know a lot of times you're like, well on one hand,

(02:00:26):
but then on the other nah, nah. We both feel
pretty strongly about this, But now it appears that WWE
is distancing themselves from the Knox Pro in the aftermath
of this weekend's incident that again saw Roger Jackson, the
son of UFC legend Quinn Rampage Saction legitimately attack independent

(02:00:47):
wrestler Stuart Smith Psycho Stu at Knox Pro's show in
California event on Saturday night, where Jackson pretty much went
in there. I don't know what the hell he was
trying to do with some boch slam that had Stu

(02:01:10):
land back of the head first, and then Jackson proceeded
to lay over twenty legit punches to the guy's head.
Vicious beatdown went viral shot out once again to those
that saw that footage, pulled one of my moves, talked

(02:01:33):
about it, did not post it to their respective social
media feeds, to those that were doing what they were
doing for shock value, all about clicks and all of that. Like, no, man,
if you wanted to show it but censor some of
the stuff, I can maybe get behind that a little bit.

(02:01:54):
But you just knew. And in these were accounts that
normally don't even have anything to do with wrestling or MMA.
It was just this is the moment I can trend,
and that pretty much was. It is what it is.
But Stuart Smith legit was knocked out. There's a lot

(02:02:15):
of concern about his status.

Speaker 3 (02:02:17):
And all that.

Speaker 1 (02:02:17):
Now, at the time that we were on the air Sunday,
he was in the hospital and it was said that
he was awake and that he was in what was
described as stable condition. Now as we're here tonight, really
good news. He is home, he is resting. He as
far as we can tell at the time that we're
doing this show right now, he has not put out

(02:02:39):
a statement reflecting on everything that had happened. However, Knox
Pro did issue a apology over the incident. Rampage Jackson,
Roger's father did issue an apology while also acknowledging the
fact that his son suffered a concussion some days prior

(02:03:03):
before the event, doubled down and said his son had
no business being at this event and everything. WWE their
id X account has unfollowed the Knox Pro account, and
this is per report by p W Insider. They've also

(02:03:25):
unfollowed Rikishi, who owns Knox Pro, and Black Pearl, who
is the head trainer at the school. Now, there was
some additional footage of the event with behind the scenes
footage of Jackson which can be seen. And I definitely
would encourage you guys to go out of your way,

(02:03:48):
and you know, I would share it, but I am
I'm not interested in getting some type of a copyright
and all that other stuff going on. But you know,
if you're interested, there's an eighteen minute video that is
floating around. I'm not even going to like because this

(02:04:11):
young man, he just he needs to go get help.
When it's all said and done, this this young man
just it's just it's just stupid what has gone down.
When it's all said and done, I'll talk more about
it than just a hot little bit. Right Meanwhile, as
far as the LAPD, because I know Chris Masters and

(02:04:33):
a few other people, why isn't this being investigated. Why
isn't this being investigated? Why isn't this being investigated? So,
as it stands right now, there is a new report
that has more details as apparently the Los Angeles Police
Department they do have an open investigation into this legit

(02:04:58):
attack on Psycho Stu. So the LAPD they are actively
investigating Jackson's assault from the Saturday night event. This is
according to the Los Angeles Times. They noted that a
spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed officers were called to the

(02:05:18):
gym the show was hosted at after receiving a report
of an attempted murder at nine pm Pacific. The report
notes that Jackson had left the location by the time
police arrived, and Stu was taken to the hospital in
stable condition. The officers completed a felony battery report and

(02:05:42):
detectives have been assigned to the case. Now, this is
the most important thing, at least at the time that
we're doing the show right now. This could change, but
at the time we're doing the show, as of now,
no arrests have been made, so that is where we
stand with that right now. In addition to that, a

(02:06:07):
go fundme has been set up for Psycho Stu. Following
the assault, The GoFundMe was set up by Contessa Patterson,
who is seeking thirteen thousand dollars to help with medical expenses,
recovery support, and loss of income. The campaign reads, and

(02:06:30):
it's very short, Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to get
support for Stuart Smith, better known as Psycho Stu. On
August twenty third, he was involved in an unscripted assault
that has left him in the hospital with intense recovery
needed to regain good health. Stuart Smith is a US

(02:06:50):
Army veteran who used wrestling as an outlet to deal
with his PTSD. The incident has not only caused major
physical harm, but also rub is career inside the ring
and outside it. Any donation will be used to cover
uncovered medical expenses, recovery support, loss of income. Thank you

(02:07:14):
so much for everyone's support as we get through these
trying times. I should also know, going back to WWE,
their whole ID program and all that. WWE's talent recruitment
website and the promotion has removed. WWEID branding on the

(02:07:39):
site and all that as well, like NOx pro has
been removed as well. So what a difference A day
makes as far as that go fund me. For those
of you that might be curious how much they have
raised to date, I'm giving you guys a real time
number right now. They were asking for thirteen thousand dollars,

(02:08:04):
and now it seems that even more money was raised.
Kind Of interesting here because on the one hand, it
says here they were seeking thirteen thousand dollars to help
with medical expenses, and now and now it seems that
their goal they have increased it to sixty thousand dollars,

(02:08:28):
as over forty one thousand dollars has been raised. So
I know what some of you guys are going to say.
It's a very uncomfortable question to ask. You may want
to ask it, but you don't have Maybe you don't
want to ask the question because you're afraid of scrutiny.

(02:08:53):
So I'll address the question and I'll answer the question. No,
about the whole work. Now, we've already talked about that.
Do I think that the parties involved are now kind
of milking it just a little bit taking advantage?

Speaker 3 (02:09:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:09:16):
Yeah, a little bit, yeah, a little bit. Look to
anybody that legit, their heart is in the right place
and they heard what happened with this guy and they
just want to help this brother out. More power to you,
More power to you. But just note that at first
it was thirteen thousand dollars they were trying to raise.

(02:09:40):
Now they've increased the gold to sixty thousand, so you
know which one is. I'd be a little bit cautious
because again, if they said no, we just needed thirteen thousand, Okay,
well you got your thirteen thousand now and then some
so what else is going right? Yeah, we really need

(02:10:04):
for and my advice to my advice to Stu and
his people would be get in front of this before
more skepticism grows. Get in front of it and let
people know, hey, we are aware that at one point

(02:10:26):
the goal amount was this, and now it's changed to.
Here's basically what happened, right, And for those of you
that may be a little bit curious as far as
if any update has been posted there, I'm looking right now.

(02:10:49):
No update, no update, And God bless Chris Jericho. Seriously,
every time something has happened over the years, Chris Jared
go is always one of the top leading donators. You
can go and look for yourself. You can see how
much Chris Jericho had donated, but it's always great seeing

(02:11:12):
that Chris Jericho is always jumping out there. So look,
I definitely respect the hell out of those that serve
in the military. I really really do. There's no warm
feeling in my heart that I get then when I
know I'm helping somebody of the US military and whatever

(02:11:35):
little way that I can. And again circling back to
what I had talked about over the weekend involving Psycho
Stu and I don't know what you guys are hearing,
but I am saying Stu, I'm not saying it as
far as Beef stew I'm literally saying it like Stu Hart.

(02:11:55):
So I don't know what you guys might be. Somebody
in the chat is doing like an apostrophe or a
little asterisk and they're doing Stus like, Yeah, I'm pretty
sure I know how it looks and sounds. I don't
know what the hell that's about anyway, But yeah, there's
no more kick ass Phil and I get than when

(02:12:16):
I'm helping out somebody that used to serve in the
military or currently serves in the military and everything. As
I had said though over the weekend, there is so
much accountability that needs to go all the way around,
because ultimately it was up to the people in charge
at this promotion. They should have really sat this young

(02:12:39):
man down and really schooled him, really let him know
what was going to be expected of him to do,
really give him the proper training that he needed so
he could do what he needed to do effectively but

(02:13:03):
also safe. Kind of goes back to what TAM's had
mentioned the other day, which was, y'all gotta protect one another.
Y'all are dance partners in that ring, so you gotta
do a really good job protecting each other. And when
you're not to her point, when you're not wising one
another up again, this takes and I'm really glad that

(02:13:28):
more and more people are doing the comparison to Travis
Scott and saying, look, this takes it to a whole
new level. This is a whole new This is a
whole different beast in itself. Speaking of beasts, shout out
to mister Beasts. Mister Beasts offered to pay the medical pills,
the medical bills for Psycho Stu after this incident, So

(02:13:54):
that is really really cool to hear appreciate that from
mister Beasts. I know mister Beasts. You know, I'm starting
to now know more and more about mister Beats only
because at my nearby wah wah, they've got this logan
Paul mister BEA's sandwich drink combo thing that's going on,

(02:14:14):
and so I'm seeing the little videos with the two
of them and in everything. So it's nice to see everybody,
you know, trying to get involved and make no mistake
about this. Though, I want to just double down and
say this, make no mistake about it. This was a

(02:14:35):
black guy. On so many levels, this was a black guy.
And I don't mean to go in the race relations category.
Lord knows, you don't get that type of rhetoric from me,
because I know there's a lot of extremists out there
that like to make everything be about black and white.

(02:14:57):
There's a lot of people that like to make it
be about race. But god damn it, people, it's bad
enough that we got some individuals out there that will go, well,
you know, you can't trust those black people, because those
black people they're savages, they're beasts, they're unintelligent. All they

(02:15:21):
run off of is pure emotion, and seeing shit like
this feeds into that silly, stupid ass rhetoric. That's fact.
That's fact. Now, if you're able to get that ignorant,

(02:15:44):
bullshit dialogue, if you're able to get that train of
thought out of your head, and you can really look
at this for what it's worth, which is this is
a prime example of not properly sitting somebody down, making
sure that they have enough sufficient training for a couple

(02:16:07):
of weeks to be able to do the bear basics.
Otherwise they don't need to be in that ring doing anything.
This is what would have made a guy like Paul
Hayman or you fill in the blank be a genius

(02:16:29):
at Okay, so where are you weak? Where would you
say you're the most weak? Is? Okay? So promos is
not really your thing? Oh okay, fine, all right, wrestling
is not really your thing. But you're a fighter. Okay, Well,
we'll play up to that. We'll make sure that this
goes down in a way where you're definitely protected. Don't worry,
you're gonna look like a million bucks. I've seen some

(02:16:56):
crazy shit in my time, but this has by far
been the wildest. And make no mistake about it, because
it seems like a lot of people get this loss.
In the translation, it was already predetermined that Roger Jackson
was going to get in the ring, he was going
to get his receipt. But I guess when it's all

(02:17:19):
sitting and done, nobody really set this kid down and
told him accordingly what that involved. And it just looked
like he flipped the fuck out. And as TAM's had
said on the show over the weekend, you know, and

(02:17:39):
I remember that day vividly when she slipped and she
fell on black ice and her head hit the concrete. Yeah,
she had a concussion. She she was out of work
for a whole week, and I just remember she was
going through some weird moose mood swings the whole nine yards.

(02:18:00):
It was really really touching, go what was going on
with her? I kept telling her, why don't you go
to urgent care and get checked out, get that hit scanned,
Let's make sure that everything is really fine in that head.
And she was like, nah, nah, I'm fine. I'm like,
don't play around with that, don't play around with that.

(02:18:22):
And eventually we were able to get her to go
get some X rays and you know, knock on wood,
everything was fine, luckily, but those concussions. Those concussions, they're
no joke. Seriously, they they are no joke. They have
their way of changing your personality and the most surprising

(02:18:47):
ways that you wouldn't expect, your rationalw just everything how
you normally would talk to people, just all that kind
of goes out the door. And it's interesting. You know,
we're already seeing some footage. I don't know if this
was maybe at about the time when Roger Jackson freshly

(02:19:08):
suffered the concussion, but there's this footage running around of
where a fan runs up to the father and son duo.
It's just a legit fan. He's excited to see them,
and I guess he's trying to get their autograph or whatever,
and not for nothing. But the dad comes off like
a very you know, there's hey, appreciate you, really appreciate

(02:19:35):
the love and support. You mean a lot, but we
can't do it right now. We're on a very strict schedule.
We gotta go appreciate you though, or you know, hey,
look I can do a selfie, but that's it. I'm
not doing no autographs. But if you want a selfie,
I can do a selfie. No, just the way Rampage
Jackson verbally belittled this fan, castrated the hell out of this.

(02:20:02):
This fucking kid young man look like a kid though
he looked like he was probably I don't know, somewhere
between eighteen and maybe twenty three, if he was a
little bit older than that. I don't know anything about it.
So there's only but so far you can say, oh,
the concussion, how much of the factor did that play
versus Okay, how much of this personality wise? Wow, you're

(02:20:28):
an asshole. And when you see the way that Rampage
Jackson is acting, you can't help but come like father
like son. Huh. My message to and I know there's
a decent amount of wrestlers and people that work in
different promotions that checked out our shows over the years,
y'all would do yourselves a really good stay the fuck

(02:20:50):
away from father and son. Here, father and son Jackson
just stayed a fuck away from them. And before anybody
goes ah, Lee's being mean to his to his own people,
I would rather you invest in my brothers and sisters

(02:21:11):
that aren't getting in fucking trouble, ain't got all this
stupid controversy that's going on with them, and give them opportunities.
I'm looking at, for example, I'm looking at, for example,
Willie Mack. I'm looking at guys like him. I'm looking

(02:21:31):
at my mass, Cedric Alexander, I'm looking at Jonathan Gresham.
I mean, I'd be here all night just going over
names of brothers and sisters that just you know. No,
I'm let me be very very specific. Rampage, Roger Jackson

(02:21:53):
wrestling in leave them the fuck alone, nothing but bad
will come. I've told you guys many times over the years.
Show me an individual that is making some type of
a effort to improve themselves, just the smallest fraction of

(02:22:13):
improving themselves, and I will show you a person in
myself that will take that dedicated time to invest in
them and help get them where they need to be. Now,
when you aren't willing to do any work that does

(02:22:37):
nothing for me, that does nothing for me, I can't
work with that. Okay, So you're just going to go
in ice code and what is everybody else supposed to
pick up the slack? And that's not fair to us, Like, seriously,
that's not fair to us. You look at guys like

(02:22:58):
Logan Paul Jelly Road, to a certain extent, Mark, Henry
braun Strohman, and the list goes Kurt Angle, brock Lesner,
Shelton Benjamin, the list goes the Miz. For Christ's sake,
the Miz, the guy that really got this whole thing going,

(02:23:23):
who doesn't really get enough props. It's insane. It's insane.
Trust me when I say this, the black guy that
Roger Jackson gave. It's gonna sting for a little while.
But thank god that all the names that I mentioned
and many others, because we'd be here all night just

(02:23:45):
going through the ones that have been doing it right. Okay,
but thank god for the fact that the vast majority
of entertainers turned wrestlers, athletes turn wrestlers. Thank God that
they all have done their respected time and just the

(02:24:07):
ratio the number of okay, success and asshole. It's unfortunate.
It's really really unfortunate. But I hope that young man
gets the proper help that he needs. And you know,
it's not helping one little bit that this young man

(02:24:28):
has not officially really put out a true, definitive video
where you know, he's apologizing, really really coming off sincere
for his actions and all that. Just nothing, Oh, I

(02:24:52):
see something from fifty eight minutes ago from the folks
over at the Dexertle website. Hang on a second, here,
it looks like Psycho Stu has issued the first update here.
Let me see what's going on here. Looks like maybe

(02:25:12):
he said something. Hang on here, I'm trying to see
if I can find it. Okay, here's an update. This
is via Facebook. This was on August twenty fifth. Stewart's

(02:25:32):
brother Andrew Gay fans an update via Facebook, affirming that
he is now conscious with some recollection of events from
the day of the attack, saying good morning, thank you
for the outpouring of support. Stuart is conscious and does

(02:25:54):
have some recollection of events from the day of the attack.
Thank you everyone for re out. It's been difficult to
get back to everyone individually. We will be setting something
up for anyone wishing to donate, which we already talked
about already. I will update with a languente possible. He's
currently resting and says thank you for the love and support.

(02:26:17):
So indirect there, but other than that, that's where we
stand on that right now to be to be continue.
Oh and as far as Rakishi's maybe RAKESHI issuing some

(02:26:38):
type of a comment or something like that. I am
not seeing anything from Rakishi right now, and before we go,
I just want to at least double check and see
if Rakeshi has set something yet. Yeah, I'm not seeing

(02:27:04):
anything from Rikeishi. Rikishi is usually very outspoken on social
media and everything, but I'm not seeing anything right now.
I'm even checking his social media feed real quick. Yeah,
he's very quiet right now. I would imagine the next

(02:27:27):
time he does his podcast, he's probably maybe he's saving
it for there. Maybe he's gonna say something there. We'll see.
But yeah, so quick programming notes, I think we're good
for the rest of the week. There might be a
bonus show. I haven't quite figured out how that's going
to be looking just yet. But if you're staying connected
throughout social media, you guys know we're gonna hook you up.

(02:27:51):
I know for sure we're gonna do a YouTube TikTok
shorts for clashing Paris predictions, so be on look out
for that. I'm thinking we'll probably drop that. We'll drop
that Wednesday, for sure. I know sometime Tuesday, I'm gonna
probably drop a new foody review. Me and TAM's had

(02:28:11):
sat down over the weekend, and I was having a
field day left and right, like Okay, what's next? What
else you got? Like, what's next? Okay, what else you got?
And so that was really fun to kick back and
do it. Then, of course this weekend I will be
live with you guys. After Clashing Peries is off the air,
