(01:52):
time to check this out. I have been trying to
find the right words the past week because hearing about
the news definitely rocked me to my core, definitely shook
me up quite a bit. It made me take a
(02:12):
look at my own mortality and my own health issues
and really say to myself, Okay, it is now or never, Lee,
get your shit together already.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
And of course, many of you have heard by now
about the passing of Kevin Castle from the Don Toni
and Kevin Castles Show. Some of you many of you
also know him from Wrestling Soup. He does the show.
I can't believe I say it does it's actually dead.
(02:50):
I hate talking about a colleague of mine and I
definitely considered him a friend. I hate talking about somebody
in past tense, but that's exactly where things stand right now. Unfortunately,
I know for almost ten years, keV did a show
with Treads, he had the Chicky podcast.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
The guy was all over the place.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
So it's really weird because last Monday, last Monday, and
I haven't been feeling well these paths several days. I
came down with a really bad code. It was part
of I can tell exactly when it kicked in. It
(03:35):
kicked in when I had visited American University for New
Eagle Day. Basically, it's an event that you go to
where if you've been accepted by American University, which was
the case for me, and I mold over the idea
of Okay, do I really want to sign up with
these guys, and I officially said, Okay, let's do it.
(03:56):
I didn't finally accept their admission letter and accepting me
and all that. I didn't finally do that give them
the deposit. I didn't do any of that until I
think it was last Wednesday. But I got caught in
the rain on that Friday because we were doing the
campus tour and so it was really, really, really bad.
(04:19):
So I have been sick these past several days. And
then right before I got sick, I was preparing for
a television production project which bombed big time. It bombed
big time, and it mainly bombed because the person that
was our director named Dave. Dave wanted to micro manage
(04:44):
everything right down to doing the video editing everything, and
so when it was all said and done day of production,
we did not have any video elements, which was ninety
percent of our show. So you can imagine how how
(05:06):
funny of a situation that was and everything. I'll talk
a little more about it on the Monday Show, but anyway,
just kind of giving you guys an idea of what
was happening in between the days. But I know last
Monday night, I wasn't even on social media. I decided
that I was going to just take it easy, try
(05:26):
to rest up. I was focused more on this television production.
And it wasn't until Tuesday morning, like sometime around two
three o'clock in the morning, I just happened to be
up and I'm on Facebook, and it's rare I hop
(05:46):
on Facebook looking at stuff, but I was on Facebook
and I saw shout out to him, I saw Jason Solomon,
saw the muscle sounds off. I saw his Facebook posts,
and I'm going, wait, what the hell? And then I
immediately went on Twitter, and that's when I saw, okay,
(06:06):
this is legit, Like what the hell? And the very
first person that I thought about that I wanted to
check in and make sure that he was okay and all.
That first person I thought about was Mish from Wrestling Suit.
I've known this guy for a long time. We've actually
(06:28):
met up. I think we've known each other now. For
Mish may say it's been a little longer than ten years,
but I know for a fact ten years we've known
each other. We are friends, we are legit friends. And
he was the first person that I thought about because
I can tell through the camaraderie that he has with
(06:50):
keV that legit they are friends. It just shines on
any of the shows that you hear of them, and
the chemistry and all that. It's either there. You either
got it or you don't, and it's always there with
those two. But I thought about my friend Mesh, and
(07:10):
I said, shit, let me check in with this guy,
make sure he's all right. And he was rocked to
his core hearing about Kev's passing and everything, and oh,
you know, Kevin Castle fifty one years old. I am
(07:31):
forty four turning forty five later this year. Scared shitless.
I gotta tell you right now, I am scared shitless
because I remember several weeks ago keV had a little
bit of a heart scare or sorry, a health scare,
(07:53):
but it was related to his heart. It was a
health scare, and it was a blessing in disguise that
he was able to get to the doctor in time
and they were able to tell him, Okay, hey, look
this is what's going on with you. You gotta clean
this up, you got to straighten this out. And so
(08:14):
I was aware prior to that that keV had some
type of health issues, but I didn't think it was
anything of the magnitude of, hey, look, if you're not
on top of this, this shit is going to kill you.
Like we all have some type of health issue that
(08:35):
we do our best to manage and everything I know
in my instance, and this is where I was really
just rocked when I ended up hearing about some of
keV Castle's health issues. I have type two diabetes, and
you know that stupid ass commercial that's running around. I
have type two diabetes, but I manage it well. It's
(08:57):
a little tiny bill a pill helps me not go
to hell or whatever the hell jargions, whatever the hell
that damn commercial is anyway, but I have type two diabetes,
I have hypertension, and now added into the mix, I
have a high pulse and as.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
A result of all of that.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
As of let me tell you something, my heart rate
was so bad last Thursday after the TV production bombed.
I told my doctor what was going on. I gave
him my latest numbers, including the numbers for right there
on the spot, and I was given new medication because
(09:44):
he told me. He said, look, you need to come
on to the hospital, pick up this new medication, get
some blood work done already. Let's check out your A
one C and everything. Let's check out your kidney functions
because it's been far too long. You haven't been here
in several months, and we need to know what's going
on with you. So come by two day. No excuses
(10:05):
went by. My A one C numbers are through the
fucking roof. I am looking at over thirteen point five.
Those of you that know the graph charts and all that,
you know that's not good because they can easily compare
it to the previous reading. So like it's it's not good.
(10:26):
My sodium intake. That's good, sugar intake. You know, that's good.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
You know.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
The kidneys though, they definitely are working much harder than
usual and everything. So I was given new medication. I'm like, oh, okay,
well this isn't too bad. I can I can manage this.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
So I'm now taking four medicines. Well, you know, it
could be worse. Then after I get my readings, my
doctor gives me a new medication. So now I'm taking
five medications. And I said to my wife, I said,
what the hell is going on with this bonus medication?
She goes, oh, my dad's on that one. That's for
the diabetes. I'm like, but I'm already taking my metaform
(11:13):
in for diabetes. Yeah, but you know, because of your
elevated numbers, you now have to take this as well.
It's like, so I can't just ditch the other one
and like, no, no, no, typically you take the metaform
and you take that one. You know, you're you're doing
a double dose because your numbers are so high. I'm like,
oh great, So that's just an idea of what's going
(11:38):
on with me. So to I say all that to
say when I heard what was going on with.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
keV Castle health wise. To hear that not only was
he dealing with diabetes, but he was dealing with other stuff.
You know, it was like whoa, whoa. It really hit
close to home.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
And to hear the details and which about you know,
how he passed and all of that. You know, my
heart just breaks because nobody should be dying alone. And
to a certain degree, you could say, well, you know,
he was surrounded by the stray cats that he's always
(12:20):
willing to help out.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
In his neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
And you know, I think that was one of the
main things that had me not just respect the hell
out of keV but take a not just also take
a strong liking to him, but just respect the hell
out of the man because.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
I saw a lot of myself and some.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Of the unselfish, unselfish acts of kindness that he put
out there towards animals or towards other people. And you know,
I love that because you know, I'm a pet lover myself.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
You all know that.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
And this one definitely hurts on a lot of levels.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
And it is a.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Dark reminder that tomorrow is not promised to anyone, and
that if you're having some type of health issues. You
definitely need to listen to your doctor's orders. You definitely
need to stay on top of whatever medications that you're
being given.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
You need to do your.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Best to if it's recommended you do some type of exercise,
be it walking, jogging, lifting weights, like, do whatever you
gotta do. Fifty one is just way, way too young,
you know, And this hurts, This really really hurts, because
true story, and I'm not just saying this too.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
You can easily if you know the right.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Episodes to look for, especially if you go back in
the way way back machine and all that.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Kevin Cassel definitely one of the ogs as far as
wrestling podcasting goes. And I can remember being a I
can remember being a twenty five twenty six year old
way back in the day, not even thinking about doing podcasting,
(14:22):
and I was listening to the Don Toni and Kevin
Castle show, and I could always remember how pissed off
I would get listening to Don Toni because he was
always power talking keV, and I always wanted for him
to just shut the fuck up and let keV speak
(14:43):
because I always felt a kindred spirit in keV. I
always felt that keV he's gonna give it to your raw.
He's gonna give it to you unapologetic. And although you
may not agree sometimes with some of the things that
he says, you definitely respect his opinion and you know,
(15:08):
you understand where he's coming from, and it's it's never
combative when you disagree with him. It's just kind of
one of those I found myself many times that's just
a pure listener wanting to go back and forth with him,
man like, no, that's not right, you know, And and
he would always back his shit up.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
You know.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
The one thing that I also really loved about keV
his mind for the business, especially talking about wrestling from yesteryear.
To be able to recall certain events in history just
like that, just on the fly, just like that. This
(15:52):
dude was a fucking encyclopedia. And then for me, when
you're able to recall that type of men from wrestling
history through the years, you know, especially when you're going
back decades, oh that really as far as being a
gifted storyteller.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
KeV was that guy. keV was that guy.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Definitely up there with the Brian Last, definitely up there
with the Jim Cornetts. You know, I know, Don TONI
had ended up doing a this Week in Wrestling History
joined and I know there was a brief period there
where keV had tried to do his own little spin
to that and all that, and it didn't last that long,
(16:35):
but I wish that.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I wish the guys would have tried.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Doing it a little bit more, maybe doing less, because
sometimes less is better. But man, keV had such a
great memory recall for wrestling history. He really really did.
That's where he really shined. I personally felt, you know,
because not, let's be honest, ninety percent of the other
(17:03):
podcast that's out there aren't going to be able to
do that, and you can tell who basically is sitting
down and gathering up information and basically covering yet but
keV lived through it, and so there was that nice
personal touch that you weren't going to be able to
(17:23):
find anywhere else. I can remember listening to those guys
just as a pure listener back in the what was
it so this would have been around two thousand and five,
six seven. I can remember listening to them right around
that period, and they were my guilty pleasure. Not just them,
(17:46):
but I would listen to Damian Nelson and David Hero
of the Pro Wrestling Report, and I remember eventually it
was with that love and passion and respect that I
had for those guys that I ultimately decided, Okay, you
know what, I want to go into the podcasting world.
I want to go ahead, and I want to talk
(18:07):
about pro wrestling. I want to not just talk about
pro wrestling, but there's other things of interest that I
want to talk about as well. And they all were
a great inspiration, mainly the Don TONI Kevin Castle show.
They were a great inspiration for setting me up and everything.
(18:28):
And I was pretty peed off when shit exploded some
years back between DT and keV and they ended up
going their separate ways. I just thought that was really
ugly how all that went down. And then you know
the shit that went down with DT and Mish that
(18:49):
made me go okay twice burned, like okay. The DT's
definitely at the core of it is he's got some
issues that he needs to work out, obviously, league and look,
I don't know whether DT truly has worked those things out.
I know, prior to keV Castle passing away, you know,
(19:12):
there was then you always see and hear this chatter,
but basically it's a DT went back to keV because
he's looking at his subscription numbers, and he's looking at this,
he's looking at that, and all of this is going
on to the decline. He's not gonna want to admit it,
but he needs keV. And I always, I always looked
(19:37):
at that, and I always felt, no, they actually need
each other. One is just not as good without the other.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
You know.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
It's it's almost as if you're taking mob deep and
you're having those guys just go out and do their
own thing. It would be no different than look at
a trip called quest. You know, it's like, okay, Fife Dog,
you know, you go on over here, Alisha, Hi, Muhammad,
you go over here, q Tip, you go over here.
(20:08):
It would be like taking the members of the Roots
and just everybody's just yeah, you're okay, you're pretty solid
doing your own thing. But you're really really better when
you come together as a team. And I always felt
that DT and keV needed each other. So I was
quite happy a couple of years back when they got
(20:31):
back together because I felt good, you know, you know, now,
the only thing is has time really healed all wounds?
Are these guys more mature than ever, and I know
in some areas because of how things had went down
with keV Castle, because how some things had went down
(20:53):
with Mish. DT won't admit this publicly, but he's well
aware of those that basically turned their backs on him.
I was one of those people. I can remember to
the point when I wished him a congratulations for the
fact that he got married. Not a peep, not a peep,
(21:15):
But I said, Okay, hey, hey, you know, it is
what it is, you know. But I know he's pretty
big DT. I know he's pretty big on loyalty and
all that other stuff, and when he feels like he's
been slighted, it's kind of one of those deals where
he's like, yeah, I'm not interested in socializing with you.
(21:35):
You don't exist to me.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
You know.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, that's just not to get to sidetracked with all that.
But it's interesting how many years have passed and I
just go, whoa. You know, I've been around this long
as a podcaster, but I've been around this long as
a listener, And just think him back to you know,
(22:00):
how I started, you know, the circumstances and everything, and
true story, true story.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
And miss can back me up on this.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
So when keV broke away from DT and everything, there
was this really weird period where keV wasn't quite sure
what he was going to do and everything, and part
of him was going, well, I guess I can somehow
continue to shows, like I don't know, well, I've always
(22:34):
wanted to go in this direction. And I remember thinking
way back then when the stuff went down, you know,
if there was ever an opportunity to ensure that keV
continues on with his shows, with his brand, get himself
out there, really establish himself and everything, now's the time.
(22:57):
And so I remember one day I just hit up
keV and I said, dude, so what are you going
to do?
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Now?
Speaker 2 (23:07):
What are you going to do in regards to the podcast?
Because you've got this huge void that's here. You've got
a lot of people that tolerated listening to the show
with DT because they want to hear from you, and
now that you're not there, you know, what are you
going to do? I remember I remember asking like, what
are you going to do? And he told me how
(23:30):
he's been playing around with this idea. This was going
back to the Chicky podcast, and he was like, well,
you know, I know I want to do you know
something with that? And I believe he was doing something
with treads around that time as well. I'm not really sure,
(23:50):
but I definitely remember the Chicky podcast. He was pitching
to me the idea of it and he said, I
definitely want to continue podcasting. Said said, well, hey, that's
that's great, and I volunteered to help to help keV.
I volunteered to help him with the podcasting and everything,
(24:11):
and I told him on the preface of look, we
set everything up for you, but eventually you take over
the reins, you take over the recording process, you take
over the posting, you take over the social media branding,
you know, you take over like you should be learning
(24:32):
how to do this so that you're never in a
position again where you're relying on one individual to do everything.
This was the heart to heart conversation that I had
with keV, and I remember keV basically saying, oh, yeah, yeah,
(24:52):
you know, maybe maybe so maybe eventually, yeah maybe maybe
eventually we could do that.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Yeah sure, and but yeah you know right now, yeah
I could definitely use you to X y Z. And
it was one of.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Those things where keV was hearing me, but he wasn't
hearing me, and I had really got this sense of
he doesn't really understand.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Excuse me, guys. I'm still recovering.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
From this quote, so I'm trying to do my best
to not cough, but if it happens, I apologize in advance.
I got the impression that keV wasn't really serious about
learning how to do X y Z, and that had
annoyed me a big time. I remember we were supposed
(25:45):
to all hook up, like in a phone conversation, me
and him and Chicky, and we were supposed to talk
more about the idea that they had and you know,
try to figure out you know, okay, so like what's
what's the plan here? And I remember, as far as
(26:06):
the talks go, we had got to a point where,
you know, it was okay, so we're looking at this
target date of trying to launch the podcast and everything,
and I didn't like the fact that chev was relying
so heavily on me. And then most importantly, I wasn't
(26:30):
being paid for any of this, you know, And that
was something that we had kind of talked about too,
which is, you know, hey, obviously there's no money in
this right now. And so so I was willing to
make this be a passion project just to get it
where it needed to be.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
But where I was really turned off was everything was
going to be on me. You know, we're relying on
me to get everything. And it's like, no, like, you
should be part of this process, you should be learning this.
And he just wasn't willing to commit to that, that's
the truth.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
And I remember eventually I backed out and I had
suggested to him, you know, look, maybe you should hit
up Mish because Mish, you know, I know he would
definitely hook you up and all of that. And and again,
Mitchell tell you because me and him we talked about this,
(27:27):
and I remember several years back, I said to Mish
one day, I said, you know, I'm glad that you
ended up working with keV and his shows.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
And I was telling.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Him about, you know, what I happened with me and
my dealings with him, and he was like, yeah, that's keV, dude.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
I'm like, yeah, I know, I know. I was like,
it was kind of frustrating for me.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
I was like, but I told himself, I'm glad between
you and me, he's still staying basically within the network
here of friends, basically and I know there was one company,
some podcasting network that stepped in briefly and had the
Chicky podcast. Think they had the Treads episodes as well,
(28:11):
and that didn't work out so well, and keV pretty
much took his ball and rolled elsewhere and everything. You know.
One of my last dms with keV and I'm looking
at it right now and it really just it kicks
me in the ass to see this, because you know,
life comes at you, you get busy, but you should
(28:34):
never be too busy to where, you know, talk more
with your friends. And that's another thing that I'm taking
away from this as well, and that's definitely being more
interactive with people that legit I consider friends.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
And keV was definitely a friend. You know.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
One of my last interactions with him in a direct
message direct message FORMATT.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Was April of twenty two three. I can't believe this.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
We were talking about Penelope Pink from while Women of Wrestling,
Marina Tucker. She grew up listening to Don Toni, Kevin Castle, myself,
wrestling Soup Solo Monster, and I had the pleasure of
(29:26):
interviewing her and she had said right before we got
ready to do the interview, she said, Lee, this is
such a huge honor.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I was like, hmm.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
She's like, no, I've been listening to you for years.
I've been listening to Don Toni, Kevin Castle, Wrestling Soup.
It's almost like I've been listening to all you guys
for years. So this is so cool. This is a
full circle moment. I was like, whoa, get the fuck
out of here. And I remember how cool it was
to hear that, and I remember letting Mish know and
(29:59):
everybody but keV as well, and I personally went out
of my way to message keV to let him know
hey man, and keV hit me back. He was like,
oh nice, bro, No, this is the first time I'm
hearing this, but very cool that. The thing I loved
about Kevin keV was always very fucking humble. He never
let shit go to his head. Like sometimes you could
(30:22):
listen to DT and if something, oh heaven forbid, something
good really happens in regards to yours truly, as he
always likes to say, yours truly. If he has like
eight shows that he puts out that week, he would
fucking bring that up on every single show, And like,
after a while, you just kind of felt like, Okay,
(30:45):
this is too much dick sucking that's going on here.
This is too much, this is too much like but
keV was more nonchalant, just oh hey, cool, and he'd
move on to the next thing.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
keV roaded like that bad.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Seriously, I'm gonna miss a lot of those things from
that dude, his al Perez jokes randomly talking about baseball.
I got to admit, I haven't cared for baseball in years.
But man, when keV would talk about certain things happening
in baseball, it would make me go, well, let me
(31:25):
turn on a game and let me see what's going
on here, because yeah, because see when I was last
into baseball, it was definitely during the steroids scandal. But
like man, Jose Kenseka, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, I was
(31:46):
into I was big into the Orioles as well. I mean,
I was into my baseball back in the day. But
then when all that shit went down with the steroids,
it was like, but like through keV, I would actually
check out a couple of games from time to time,
trying to see, Okay, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (32:05):
What am I missing here? You know?
Speaker 2 (32:07):
And I would end up watching some really good games
thanks to keV. So I'm gonna miss my fellow podcasting brother.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Uh, definitely a friend.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
I wish I would have, ye know, it's one of
those things where you go, man, I wish I would
have been talking with him more because knowing the health issues.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
That he had.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You know, I can't help Bud, and I'm not trying
to make it be about me, so please nobody take
it that way. But me and him essentially kindred spirits
because of the health issues that we're having. I wonder
just what might have happened, if, you know, I would
have been a little bit more interactive with him from
those standpoints of, you know, hey, dude, you gotta gotta
(32:54):
stay on top of this.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
You gotta.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
You know, and and look, for all we know, by
the time he found out what was going on, it
might have just already been too late.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Unfortunately, you just you never never know.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
But thinking about my fellow podcasting brother, colleague, my friend,
you know, I can't help, but go man, Tomorrow really
isn't promised to anyone. You really got to live each
day to the fullest, and now more than ever, you
(33:33):
really need to stay on top of your health.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Yeah, that cheeseburger.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, it might sound really good, you know, especially if
you're doing it as a cheap meal.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
You know, from time to time, like out of a
whole month.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
If you're doing that that cheeseburger twice, Okay, it's not
the end of the world. But you definitely need to
be eating more greens. You definitely need to be greens
basically veggies. You definitely need to be drinking more water,
eating more fruits, taking your vitamins and all of that
good stuff, you know, getting out there and away saying
(34:10):
you gotta lift weights, but getting out there, going for
a walk, all that stuff, trying to go out and
I know, you know, for keV, he really wasn't a
fan of going out like that. You know, he pretty
much was a homebody if he wasn't out there working.
You know, he booked many, many bands for a lot
(34:31):
of venues during the years. And I would love it
when he would talk music. I would love it when
he would talk about the music scene and everything. I
tell you, his mind and respect for the industry. He
would have been great in some documentaries as far as
(34:52):
contributions go, and all that. I know he was self
aware of his image though, and he wasn't a big
fan of being seen in public. He kept his appearance
very very close to heart. He did not want people
knowing how he looked because he was very sensitive about
his look, you know, because he was this short, pudgy
(35:19):
guy and it's like, well ninety percent of the wrestling community.
So it's like you're you're You're beloved, You're welcomed, Like
what are you tripping over? Like it's all good, dude,
no shape in my game.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
All you all know.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
I'm a big boy, Like I don't I don't care,
I don't play that, but you know, my heart definitely
goes out to Mish. I know Mish really really is
taking this quite hard.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
John Draper.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
I know John Draper was the one that, you know,
put all the information out there as far as you
know what had happened and everything. And you know, I
definitely am and thinking about him, my friend and John
Draper and wishing those guys nothing but love, nothing but
the very best. I'm thinking about Tres, his co host,
(36:11):
his friend of almost ten years, if not longer, but
they were doing the.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Podcast for eight years together.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Definitely DT don TONI because when it's all said and done.
You know, no matter how we may sometimes feel about
don TONI make no mistake about it. You don't work
with somebody for over twenty five years and say, oh yeah,
I don't have any I don't have any connection to them,
(36:42):
I don't have any emotion, I don't have any you know.
You know, DT is hurting over the loss of his friend,
and it's going to be interesting to see what happens
as far as the future goes. I know, before kep
Castle came back, DT was riding it solo, and he
(37:02):
was riding it solo for like the longest time. And
then eventually he you know, as we talked about earlier,
he started working with Mish and that didn't quite work out,
and then he started I think he was solo again
for a brief little bit, and then eventually he started
working with keV again. So I don't know, I don't
(37:25):
know what the future holds for DT going forward. I
know he's not gonna I know he's not gonna stop
the shows dead in their track. And as a matter
of fact, to my point, for those of you that
might be curious, excuse me, guys, for those of you
that might be curious, I know keV put out. I'm sorry, DT,
(37:49):
I know DT put out. Just let's see here. He
put out two shows for last week, the initial show
reacting to the passing of keV, and then he followed
it up a couple of days later with the sit down.
So I would imagine that, you know, he's not gonna stop.
(38:14):
I would imagine he's gonna keep going, but definite leader's
gonna have to be some retweaking, some reformatting. I wouldn't
be surprised if eventually he started bringing in different guests,
you know, maybe doing it that way until he settles
on a new permanent co host. But you know, we'll
(38:35):
we'll see what happens. That can always be addressed at
a much later date. But if there's one positive thing
that everybody needs to take away from the passing of
keV Castle is if you weren't serious about your health before,
(38:55):
and you cared a great deal about CAV, you you know,
you respected the hell out of it. You appreciate his
contributions to the wrestling community. Look at what's going on
there with his passing, And if ever you needed motivation
to get your shit together, like this is that time
and I'm not just saying that, Like I was already
(39:18):
my mind was already made up that Okay, look I
gotta I gotta stay on top of my health here
because this is getting ridiculous. But then once I found
out about keV, I just you guys have no idea.
I was so shaken to my core that I said, Okay, look,
I gotta get serious about what's going on with my
weight here, because you know, it was making me feel
(39:39):
a certain way, especially with the high blood pressure and
all that. It's like, I'm too young to be having
all these issues. So I've been taking that one day
at a time. I've I've lost a decent amount of
weight since the since the news of keV. I was
at almost two hundred and and fifty pounds. Now I'm
(40:02):
at two hundred and thirty six. That's not me starving myself.
That's just me eating smarter, you know, eating more veggies,
eating more everything that we had talked about earlier.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
So hopefully, you guys that have been kind of like me,
eventually I'll start tackling my health. Eventually, I'll I'll all
out work on that tomorrow and like it never comes.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Hopefully, this is the rude awakening that you need to. Okay,
I gotta get my house in order. I'm gonna miss
keV legit. Nothing would please me more than just randomly
I'm on social media and I'm seeing something that he's
(40:50):
posting and I'm either reacting to it, you know, commenting,
you know, kind of going back and forth with him
on that shit. He was a late night out, I
gotta say. I would be up sometimes at like two, three,
four o'clock in the morning doing some video edits, maybe
some audio edits, working on some commercials or whatever, and
(41:11):
I like I would see keV or like, damn dude,
like go to sleep already, Like what the hell?
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Like, what the like?
Speaker 2 (41:20):
What the hell dude. It was a late night out though, man.
So I know Mish. I was talking with Mish the
other day and he was talking about there's gonna be
an archive in memory of keV of basically like all
the shows that him and Mish have done. So there's
(41:42):
gonna be something like that in the pipeline that he's
going to be working on as some other stuff as well.
So and I would imagine DT is definitely doing something
as well. I know with regards to the castles, with
Cheeky with Cheeky. There's definitely gonna be some type of
(42:06):
archive of that available as well. So I don't know
about the Treads stuff. I don't know if that's the
case where the Treads episodes up to a certain point,
because I remember the Treads episodes was available on soup
for a hot minute there, but then eventually that went
behind the DT paywall and it kind of rightfully, so
(42:28):
you kind of understand it and everything. But it was
nice seeing all the love and affection that keV received.
It was nice, and the man get his flowers. The
dude was trending for like over eight hours, Like that's
fucking that's badass, that really is. But it sucks that
(42:50):
he had the trend for those respected reasons, right. I
would imagine that if keV could have seen all the
love and the support that was kind and in there,
I would imagine he would go wow, like wow. I
think he would really be taken back by it.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
Legit.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
I'm not just saying that. I feel that in my bones.
I feel that in my heart that legit it would
have been quite taken back by it. But it's definitely
a huge void that we're going to be feeling the
impacts of for quite a long time, quite a long time.
(43:32):
So that's that unfortunately, and I know we got WrestleMania
Week that's going to be coming up. I ended up
taking a whole week away from the shows just with
everything going on. But definitely the stuff with keV, that
just pretty much it's a punch to the gut. It
(43:54):
just really knocked me out. But we got WrestleMania Week,
and legit, legit, I know if keV was around, you know,
I know he'd be like, nah, man, come on, come on,
WrestleMania Week.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
You gotta get excited.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
You gotta even if you feel this one's gonna be
a little bit lackluster, like, come on, man, it's WrestleMania Week.
We got the Hall of Fame ceremony, those speeches like
come on, man, we gotta keV definitely would have been like,
the show must go on, so and his honor. We're
definitely gonna be doing that loaded up week. WrestleMania Week
is here. I'm definitely gonna be going through WrestleMania predictions.
(44:34):
That's gonna need its own standalone special, So we're probably
gonna do that for you guys. I think Wednesday afternoon
will probably drop that live for you guys. I know
Mish said he wants to do something since it's WrestleMania week,
so he's gonna do like a rotation of guests. So
(44:57):
I'm definitely trying to finish Iron and that out with
him and get on that.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
So a lot of fun stuff that's gonna be planned.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
I'll definitely be with you guys Monday night after Raw

all that good stuff. So make sure you tune in
