Bud if you really stop to think about, it he's
now pulling A Denzel. Washington there's this infamous clip that's
running around Where denzel is being interviewed By Jamie foxx
And denzel tells the story how he was at this
award ceremony And Sean connery was up for some award and, no, no,
(05:38):
No Sean connery got like this huge standing, ovation AND
i think it tied into whatever Movie Sean connery was
potentially nominated. For and When denzel saw the standing ovation
That connory, got he, goes, yeah this is. Over i'm
not winning. Tonight and so he grabbed his wife and
(05:59):
they grabbed their, coats and as they were, leaving he
saw the big old spread of food in the back
and it was a really good. Spread and he Told Jamie,
fox he, Said i'm leaving here with, something And i'm
just Picturing. Trump i'm leaving here with. Something it doesn't
matter what it, is But i'm leaving here with, something something,
(06:23):
good something pretty pretty.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Good well really quickly, though one of the most hilarious
Videos i've actually seen this week.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Was His.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Mainly it wasn't even about the, speech BECAUSE i could
have cared less what he.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Said apparently he Faked milania.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
And they showed and they panned to her AND i
swear to, god dead, ass serious.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Face no, smile no, smirk no.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Nothing, yeah she just has this. Repulse woe is? Me
isn't it? Interesting isn't it? Interesting LIKE i, mean, really
people stop to think about this for a, second, right
not to get to into the, weeds but really stop
to think about this for a. Second we ain't heard
a peep out of her this term compared to the
(07:16):
previous turn now.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Barely, well she tried in the, beginning and then it was, like,
well wait a, MINUTE.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I mean she has been LIKE i, forget she's non.
EXISTENT i sometimes have to remind myself this dude is,
married right, right because SOMETIMES i think about what's What's
it's one of my all time Favorite Michael douglas. Movies
he was he was a single. Guy he was the
president of The United.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
States as love that.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Movie Obviously trump isn't that. Guy but but, no Like i'm, reminded, oh,
yeah he's. MARRIED i keep forgetting that because you haven't
heard a peep out of. Her, no it's, Amazing, yeah it's,
really it's. Amazing, now before anybody, ASKS i, KNOW nxt
(08:06):
did a premium live event. Yesterday it Was. DEADLINE i
have not watched it. YET i will be watching it,
sometime if not before the weekend is, OUT i will
definitely have watched it by the TIME i do The
Monday raw post. Show so before anybody, asks, hey what
(08:27):
did you think ABOUT Nxt, Deadline that's what's going on
with That i've mainly been kicking, back just relaxing and
just it's INTERESTING i have in my. Head SO i
have a whole bunch of papers that's due my final,
exams luckily virtually all of them going into the week
(08:49):
of my birthday in about two. Weeks all the exams
THAT i, have my final, exams they're all essay. Papers
with the exception of my govern. Class i've actually got
to go into my government class and physically physically not
this coming, week but the following, week SO i got
a little bit of time to. PREPARE i gotta physically
(09:12):
go in for our final exam and Then i'm officially
done with the. Class but every all the other classes
it's paper. Exams SO i love. It SO i plan
on sitting down AND i mean it's not. HARD i
love to, write SO i am a critical. Thinker it's
(09:32):
just a matter OF i know HOW i. Am ONCE i,
start one's gonna bleed into another and then the next
thing you, Know i'm gonna lose like a whole day
Because i've been busy banging out. Writing So i've just
been enjoying the calm before the. Storm so to, Speaking,
yeah so to, speak and. Everything So i've bainly been,
(09:53):
chilling just kind of you, know rushing up on my,
reading just kind of laying low in. Everything that's why
if you guys had, noticed we're supposed to do A friday.
SHOW i was supposed to do a show After, SmackDown
BUT i, SAID i JUST i really want to take
it easy BECAUSE i felt kind of drained from everything
that's just been going on the past couple of. Weeks
(10:15):
and rightfully, so we actually had got hit with a
little bit of snow over, here and it was, DUDE, Dc, Maryland.
Virginia they are so asked backwards when it comes to.
Snow first of, All first of, All i'm A chicago,
native AND i always tell THESE dc residents whenever the
topic of snow come, UP i, say, Well i'm From,
(10:37):
chicago and even THOUGH i am many many years removed From,
CHICAGO i remember, blizzards and you, KNOW i can remember,
snow you, know being like ABOUT i remember snow being
like about a bullshit you not like almost feet ten
(11:00):
to twelve feet if not even, more and, like, yes
like you can't get out your. House you ain't getting
out your. House you try to open that. Door your
shit out of luck because that snow damn near come
to your waist kind of deep. Snow, Okay So i've
been through my fair share of snow, battles and here
(11:23):
in THE dmv, region you hear just an inch of
snow and you gotta get the bread and. Milk gotta
get the bread and, milk they, said, snow and it
just boggles my. Mind so this is how ass backwards.
This it pays me to say this because OTHERWISE i LOVE,
(11:43):
dmv but it pays me to say. This so you
go To. Tuesday, tuesday a lot of areas, go oh,
man we going to need to do a two hour.
Delay let's go, ahead and in some counties let's have them. Close. Wait,
well you, know we hear that the roads are going
to be, pretty you, know. Slick, yeah but there's not
(12:04):
gonna be any. Snow, yeah but still you no, cold
and they tripped for no damn. REASON i was able
to power. THROUGH i REMEMBER i checked in with. YOU i, said,
hey how are you? Like my commute was? Fine how
about you? Like my commune was fine as. Well that
was the next, morning, right but, still, no we're talking
About tuesday. Times, yeah we're talking About, tuesday, Right and
(12:25):
yet you would think that when, officially, hey we're gonna
get an inch of. Snow oh. Damn, well since we're
gonna get an inch of, snow this definitely means then, man, well,
yeah there's gonna be some. Delays there's gonna be, this
there's gonna be that no regular, Day and it pissed
off a lot of residents because they were expecting for
(12:48):
there to be a two hour delay and they were,
like this makes no. Sense you do It, tuesday but
you don't do It, Friday like how does that make?
Sense and so it's just really this, area this, region
it's always been finicky when it comes to just AND
i don't. KNOW i don't know what it, is BUT
(13:11):
i don't know if it's maybe a fear of. WHATEVER
i actually had classes On friday AND i start to
go and the night before me And TAM's were sitting
down AND i, said you know, WHAT i gotta play
this by. Ear and the main reason WHY i DECIDED
i wanted to play it by ear is BECAUSE i
know how some of these people are out on the
roads are they are scared to? Drive, like so wait a.
(13:35):
Minute the way they teach you at The department Of
Motor vehicles MVA's and all. That you, know the way
they teach you you should always be a defensive, driver
but now you're all of a sudden going to be
scared when you're behind the, Wheel like that doesn't quite
make any sense to. Me but, WELL i was, like
(13:59):
let me just take it, easy BECAUSE i kind of
have a feeling that there could be some accidents because
people are, scared are going to be scared driving out,
there or maybe some people are just going to be
driving like, normal not gonna think nothing of, it and
then there's gonna be. Accidents and sure, enough wake up
the next day and there were. ACCIDENTS i, said, no, no, no, no,
(14:21):
No i'm, good.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Yeah BECAUSE i actually had a couple of things THAT
i had to. DO i was off that, day BUT
i had a few things THAT i had to do as.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Well AND i, said, okay.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Well let me, well you, know the parking lot looks.
OKAY i, mean you, know it's no real big. Thing
AND i came back in from outside AND i, said,
well let me look at our current traffic app.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
AND i kid you. NOT i literally saw, crash, crash, crash, crash, crash. Crash,
Yeah i'm not going.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
Out.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah mainly for for me, personally it Was, OKAY i
know THAT i can drive in the. Snow it's not
that bad now obviously at, five, six seven o'clock because
it's still semi.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Chilli, okay maybe that's.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
True maybe they haven't quite gotten you, know real good
time to clean the roads.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Right but after that it was. Fine and for me it.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Was about the other drivers, either Like li, said you,
know they're either going too slow and scared to, drive.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Or they're going too.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Quick for the conditions and they end up not not
really knowing their cars ability or testing their their car's
limits and then end up getting in.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Trouble let me ask, you would you also say in
addition to, that Because i'm still relatively a new, DRIVER i,
mean What i've got what two years a little bit
or two plus years or Now i'm close to. THREE
i Know i'm not at three. YET i don't Think
i'm at three. Yet, NO i think you're at. Three
you Think i'm at? Three, well, YEAH i think it's been.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
More now let's let's.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Say two point ninety. Five all, right let's say two
point ninety.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Five so, guys it's been more like.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Four let, me, well it depends on how you want To,
okay let's do it this. Way let's do it this
way between getting my learners and then having my. Drivers
let's do it that.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Way, WELL i consider your drivers being also the.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Provisional oh, yeah there was the. Provisional the provisional was
eighteen months times times eighteen months. Almost, yeah so it
has been, okay still a relatively. Driver no new, driver.
Though let me ask, you is it a case where
(16:56):
when it comes to this time sensitive, weather is it
a case where most people are not checking their, tires
like upgrading their. Tires is that maybe a large part of,
it if you had to put an educated guess out there.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
In reference to.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
The amount of, Accidents, yeah underestimating the conditions.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Number, one, okay number, Two, yes that is a.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Fact that is a factor reference to making sure that
your tires have tread on, them.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
You, know in reference to this time of.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
YEAR i mean they should always have, tread but you
really want to make sure that your tires are. Good but,
basically any you can put brick on, ice it's still
going to slide at the right. Pressure so, literally it's
more like keeping your distance slowing down and going at the, minimum.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
You, know just below the speed, limit and those are
really your two.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Things TAM's taught me recently about checking the tread on
the tires, because as some of you guys, KNOW i
had a tire that blew. OUT i shared it on
social media a couple of months. BACK i had a.
Tire it was my front driver's side tire that blew
out on my, car and it was the worst piece
(18:29):
of news THAT i was just driving on the freeway
and just doing my. THING i was hitting the class
and the next thing you, know something just, SAID, whoa
what's going on? Here like it wasn't a, pop there
was like no. Explosion it was just on the wheel
starting to feel. Funny what the hell is this? About
(18:51):
and my wheel just the rubber It it was just
ridiculous WHEN i looked at, it like it just ripped
upon art like to. Shreds it was. Ridiculous but it
turns out not for. Nothing we had noticed there was
a little abnormality that was on the, wheel tire that
(19:14):
was on the, Tire so, yeah thank you for correcting
me the tire And towns was, like when's the last
time you deflated that you inflated. That i'm, like, ah
probably you might want to put some air in. It
i'm like, okay and LIKE i was doing, that but
it just kind of seemed like of all the, tires
that one was becoming the. Lowest after like a day or,
(19:38):
whatever and BEFORE i got behind the, WHEEL i looked
at my tire AND i, said that looks pretty. LOW
i should Probably AND i, said, Ah i'll be all,
Right i'll do it ONCE i get the. Campus that's
usually my mindset ONCE i get the campus, out AND
i usually do ONCE i get the campus AND i
got a little bit of time to, Kill i'll eater you, Know,
okay let me put some, oil let me look up the,
(20:00):
tires and you, KNOW i always do it that. Way and,
yeah the tire had, exploded And tams was, like your,
tread always check your. Tread i'm, like what the hell is?
That and she's, like let me show, you and she,
does you, know she shows me the whole finger tests and,
everything and THEN i start doing the finger tests for
the rest and she's, like see these back, tires they're
not that, bad but you are going to need to
(20:21):
replace these. Eventually in the next couple of. Months i'm, like, oh,
Okay she's, like but you're kind of good for, now
but like she's, like feel what is happening here with
your tire the one that we ultimately had to, replace
and that one had no tread. Whatsoever that's, like so
to your point about weather conditions and definitely the, treading
(20:44):
the more.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
Attraction you don't have on a, tire and the where
you're going to find, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yeah this just always amazes me seeing the amount of
accidents that just you, know well, shit it's not even
a case where you could be out on the. ROAD
i remember years back WHEN i was working in. Retail
for a hot, MINUTE i can, remember, mofos you would
think as simple as entering a parking lot so you
(21:13):
can go find a, spot so you can go buy your. Groceries,
right mofos didn't know how to, drive, right you, know so?
RIGHT i mean seriously, bad seriously. Bad speaking OF, dc
let's talk a little, bit because like a lot has
happened since last we were on the air. Here, obviously
(21:36):
the biggest piece of news out here in our region
Is Mayor Muriel bowser officially announced that she's not gonna
be seeking a fourth term as DC's, mayor and she
is now tied With Marion barry for most. Terms and you,
(21:58):
Know Marion barry just to kind of give people that
don't know anything ABOUT dc, politics don't know anything about
THE dc culture and. Everything mary And barry for a
lot OF us residents was a really big deal back
back in his day because he was looked upon as
(22:18):
the mayor for the. People he did so much as
far as trying to create housing project opportunities for low income,
Families he really did a lot for low income. Families
he really did a lot for the poorest wards in the.
(22:41):
District that also included The Summer works, program which eventually
got revamped by mayor By Mayor, Fenty Adrian. Fenty but
he did a lot for this. CITY i, mean he
was all ready to a degree a civil rights activists
(23:04):
in his own, right and, uh he went through some
hardship in the eighties as he became addicted to crack.
Cocaine and despite the way the media were.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Uh painting that, Scenario.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah, yeah you, know they they amplified and and and
with the amplifying that they were, doing they inadvertently created
this narrative of you, know this person shouldn't be leading
this and the way the city had came around, him
it was, look you know even more the reason why
he's one of, Us like nobody is. Perfect we all
(23:41):
got our, problems and everybody rallied around, him and you,
know and re elected him ultimately after.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
You, know his sentence and rehab and all of, that
and then ended up re electing.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Him and he did what at least two TERMS i think.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
SO i think so he was mayor in the eighties
and then pretty much it was like it was like
NINETY i think maybe like ninety two to ninety seven
or something like. That you, Know But Muriel, bowser she
did so. MUCH i mean when you just look at,
her her, legacy the fact that she brought, new great
(24:19):
development to.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
D.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
C i, mean D c. Looks i've told you this
many times that we have visited D. C i've gone
yo this. Area it's changed so. Much and many Times
i'll say the, TAMS i, remember you know when this
used to Be da Da da da. DA i remember
when this was just an empty ass parking. LOT i
remember when this was just a liquor. STORE i remember
(24:45):
when this was a strip. Club you, Know, oh this
used to be a, McDonald's and there used to be
a whole bunch of homeless people in, here like twenty
four to. Seven and it just it's amazing to see
all the growth that has happened and in the, city you,
Know and she further, Extended she further extended programs towards
(25:11):
low income, families particularly when it comes to housing. Developments you,
KNOW i visited some of the areas that you, know
at one, point you, know you don't want to be
in this neighborhood, first you, Know and now it's, wow
look at these nice pretty. Homes, wow they got a
(25:32):
nice clean. Park oh they got, this and it's like, wow,
okay you. Know but then also a big testament to
her and her. Legacy let's also look at. This and
this isn't me buttering her. Up this just me spitting.
Facts when it appeared That Ted leonsis was going to
be moving The washington capitals and The, wizards when it
(25:59):
appeared as though he was gonna take them To, virginia you,
know she moved heaven and earth and she made sure
it stayed right in D. C she essentially was able
to bring back The washington commanders to D. C, okay
so you're, like.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Rebuild a whole new stadium for them and bring them
back that, right that was a major. FEAT i, mean
they haven't been in D c for probably twenty.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Years not Since. Barry, yeah not Since barry because by
the Time williams infentee the next two mayors to Succeed Marion.
Barry by the time they came, in you, know we
already Had snyder and he took the commanders To. Maryland,
yeah you, know but, yeah she's she's done so much
(26:47):
and you didn't see, it but WHEN i was watching
some of the coverage the, announcement her announcement and, everything
which she only gave an exclusive interview TO nbc For
Washington's MARK. C graves did a phenomenal. Job they actually
ended up speaking to some of the members of THE Dc,
(27:07):
council AND i think it Was Phil middleton who, said
we appreciate everything that she has done for. Us, now
at the same, time we also need to recognize that
it's not as though she's getting ready to leave in
a week or. Two she's got a whole year to.
Go AND i know how, taxing you, Know i've had
(27:28):
any conversations with her behind closed. Doors it is a grueling.
Job there is so much that you guys do not.
Know AND i have empathy for, her and at the same,
time you, know we need for her to finish strong
and make sure that the future is going in the
right direction and. Everything and, YEAH i mean. Her you,
(27:53):
know what do you say About Miriel? BAUSER i, mean
her legacy is. Intact some would make an argument that
she really did do enough for low income, districts for certain.
Wards you could, definitely you can definitely make that. Argument
she didn't really do enough for the. Homeless her legacy
(28:13):
is for sure a little tarnished because when she was you,
know she won brownie points when she butty hits With
trump during his first, term, right you. Know but obviously
with this second, term it kind of seems as though,
she's for lack of a better, term back, now backing
(28:37):
down and AND i don't want to say playing foot,
see but trying.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
To be.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Necessarily for, ME i don't necessarily think it's playing foot.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
SEE i think she's just tired of the, game.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Not tired of the, game playing the. Game, no, no let,
me let me give you the greatest example to defend my.
Point to defend my, Point Black Freedom. Plaza trump wanted that,
removed she removed. It, yeah and she caught a lot of.
FLATS i still.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Don't exactly agree with, That BUT i mean my personal.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
LOOK i, mean you, know obviously we all don't know
the ins and outs of politics and how it's, played you,
know because we all know that that plays a huge
part in a lot of.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Things now that much we do, know it makes sense.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
To say that one is playing the. Game but for,
ME i one could, Say, okay she's tired of of
politics and it is ready to move on to the next. Chapter, okay,
(29:55):
okay well fair. Enough but for, me not saying this
is anybody else's, opinion this is my. Opinion for, ME
i would say it feels like she's tired of playing
the game or is ready to take her ball and
go somewhere.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
ELSE i feel like if she didn't have to.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Play the, game or she had a dance partner that
was in it to MAKE dc, better that she would
probably still be there and re seek another. Term just
my own personal, opinion not saying that's, fact not saying that's,
(30:43):
anything but it's just my own personal. Opinion, NOW i
will say that in What i've seen of what she's
done has been admirable in you, know some of her
big deals and then.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Really trying to you, know move D c.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
FORWARD i mean how even one, POINT i think there
was bids on the table for making D c a
state again under.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Her, well not a state, AGAIN i mean not.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Again but basically trying to make D c a state
La and you know that that still you, know didn't get.
Passed but you know there is that pass, uh there
is that informational piece of it that well you, know
we at least tried to get that going so we
(31:35):
could get some, Funding we could get, this we could
get that.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Plus of the other.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Deals AND i will tell You i'm not a big baseball,
fan BUT i did do A christmas event At National's
park and, guys let me tell you. Something that park
is be.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Beautiful. Now that did not happened under her, watch.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
And i'm missing.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Baseball baseball came back Under baseball came back under you Said. Nationals, Correct,
Yeah baseball and The nationals came back thanks To Adrian.
Finty wait wait fenty was the one with the with
(32:26):
the bow, tie, Right, okay, yeah keep keep Talking i'll
find out real.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Quick, so but just in in certain sections OF dc
and in going, THERE i mean there are certain Sec.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Williams it Was williams fenty was the, young the young,
ballhead one that was a, Dicky, yeah the one.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Turmer, yeah, okay got.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
It so you, know but going back to to her
term and, yeah he was the one with the bow.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Tie Tony. Willia.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
Yeah BUT i do believe that, she you, know has
possessed strength and leadership and for you, know a city
that really needs. That you, know no political official is
going to get every single thing done that is on
(33:23):
their agenda because just like it's been said before many other,
times you do have each side of the, Aisle so
you can want all you, want but you also have
to essentially get that over with both sides of the.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Aisle, WELL i tell you are for somebody that essentially
was mayor for ten, years like, total she got a lot.
Done it's going to be really whoever it's going to
be that's going to step uh step in into play
has some huge shoes to. FILL i, mean you can
make an argument that she Surpassed barry in a lot
(34:10):
of in a lot of areas and a lot of.
Areas i'm very curious to see how everything's going to
play itself. Out you, know it's so funny because when
she announced her her her not seeking another, Term, yeah
all of a, sudden the media the way they start framing, Things,
(34:32):
oh who's going to be the next? Successor and it's
so funny because like a lot of these media, STAGES
i was watching. Them one name's, mentioned a second name is,
mentioned and you're, like, well who the hell are these? People,
Like i've never heard of these people. Before AND i
was TELLING i was talking about this in my journalism
(34:52):
class this, WEEK i, SAID i, said because we were
talking about the impact of social media and how that
can play a critical role for journalists when you can't
go to the streets and you can't talk to. People
AND i, said, well you, know social, media if you
(35:13):
utilize it, right it's a really great tool for continuing
to keep the conversations going and add a new layer
to a story that you're working. On AND i talked about, how, yeah,
well some of the news media outlets they make the
announcement about Mariel bowser stepping, down and then they're, like,
(35:36):
oh who's going to be the, successor they mentioned one
or two, names and it's, like so how about more,
context like who are these, people what are they? About
how long have they been serving the? District and you,
know why should we even care about this name that
you're throwing out? There if there was ever a time To, okay,
(35:59):
look here's a companion piece to this main. Story you,
know we we talk to people we wanted to, Know,
hey have you ever heard of this? Person you, know
according to the, poll you, know this is what you
guys had. Said you, know so for more, context let's
give you a background on who this person, is what they're,
about because some of the people that were spoken, to you, know,
(36:22):
hey who would you, LIKE i don't, know.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
They probably don't know much about anybody right.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Now, no because even When i'm, Watching i'm, LIKE i
have no idea this person.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Is, no you, know like never heard of them before
in my. Life. Yeah so.
Speaker 4 (36:41):
It's it's tough to essentially give an opinion on.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Something it really. Is it really.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Is i'm, Like i'm, like you, know so we got,
that we got all that, Drama BUT i do wish
her the. BEST i mean she did. Truly, yeah, YEAH
i mean say what you will but, like, overall she
did pretty. Good it just sucks that in her final
(37:07):
term butting heads With. TRUMP i know for a fact
that a lot of THE dc residents they weren't really
filling the whole ice situation and the military's presence in the.
District you, know they're not really you, KNOW i get.
(37:28):
IT i understand some of those. Frustrations but, like, overall
does it does it tarnish her legacy a little? Bit,
yes but not to the point where you ignore you're
talking about ten. Years IF i can only get you
really on one year out of basically your ten, years
that's pretty damn. Good that's that's essentially like ninety out
(37:52):
of one.
Speaker 4 (37:52):
Hundred mm, Agreed but you, know some of THAT i
still feel like some of that is in her, control
but not necessarily in her. Control, yeah because it literally
got played out on NATIONAL.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Tv how much it was not in her. Control.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
Yeah anything you want to add in regards to or
sound off your thoughts in regards to Your washington commanders are.
DOING i See Jadeen daniels is officially, back.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Right he is clear too for today's. Game it's nice
to have everybody. Back we'll see what they can. Do
to be honest with, YOU i call Him, mariota but
the league was actually saying his name a bit different for.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Me he actually.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
Did really well his last, game and he's actually a decent.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
QUARTERBACK i just don't whether.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
You're talking About Marcus, mariota.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
Right but that's not how they were saying at the last.
Game it was kind of they were elongating some letter.
Letters SO i don't, know but, anyway that's.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
What i'm gonna call. Him he's a decent.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Quarterback AND i think they're starting to string together some
kind of. Camaraderie BUT i don't necessarily think it's the
camaraderie that they have With.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Daniels well there is an r in. There maybe It's Marcus.
MARIOTA i MEAN.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
I think it's something like.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
That well, look, well look they then they're being. Stupid
they didn't do their research Because i'm seeing m a
r IoT a you you can only pronounce.
Speaker 4 (39:39):
It but it was almost like my it was almost
like they were saying Mari yota and they were elongating
the last.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Name but, anyway it neither here nor.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
There SO i just feel, like AND i think it's
even gonna take them a little bit to get that camaraderie.
Back for For, DANIELS i, mean he's been out for
a few weeks and they never really truly truly got
their season.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Started, well hang, ON i see some audio. Here he's
teaching folks how to pronounce his last. Name see how this.
Sounds let's see.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
Her it's been said over the years Like, mariota which is,
incorrect and Its.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Mariota thank. YOU i appreciate. THAT i, SEE i know
my Ship.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
Mariota and he literally had to google this just to
prove that he was.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Correct, well, NO i was curious because it's like because it's,
like it's not that hard to. Me WHEN i first read,
It i'm, like, okay well either THE r is potentially
silent or it sounds Like, toyota It's. Mariota and sure,
ENOUGH i was leaning more Towards mariota Because i'm, like it's,
RARE i here are. Silent it's such a short name like.
(41:04):
That so were they calling him something? DIFFERENT a lot
of people were Saying, Mariota oh, yeah, no do, that
don't do that.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
In reference To.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
MARIOTA i really do believe that he actually was starting
to find his, stride, now DO i believe that maybe
some of the play calling might have been a little
presumptuous in my.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Opinion, yes.
Speaker 4 (41:32):
BUT i will to be honest with, you the last
game that we, watched as a matter of, FACT i
had to get up and go to work the next,
time and it was a late night game and we
watched it and it was actually a really really good.
Game was mad they didn't, win but still a good.
(41:54):
Game and so we'll, see we'll. SEE i mean to
be honest with, YOU i am enjoying the transition of
the new team and of course their second year and
seeing how they.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
Do. Now for, me they must. Win for, that they
must Win dallas On.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
Christmas you're talking about the game on week, fourteen last
week against The, vikings, Correct, yeah, Correct, actually, no, no
that's today's. Game that's today's.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
Game And broncos have been a pretty decent. Team we
actually gave a nine to three team a run for their.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Money SO i enjoyed them that.
Speaker 4 (42:38):
Game BUT i, unfortunately at this, point unless you, know
there's a major, downfall we are out of the. Playoffs
so it's really just about, strengthening you, know what we
have and seeing where we can go from.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
There, yeah BECAUSE i mean the defensive, struggles the inconsistency
that continues to plag the. Team to your point about the,
offense they're slow. START i, mean they're starting to look
like they're coming back into rare form from where they
were last year that took the nation by storm and.
Everything they're almost back at full strength on offense because
(43:18):
you got veteran wide Receiver Noah brown was taken off
ir so that's definitely adding for, them so much needed depth.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
There.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
Yeah, yeah, so BUT i mean their record right, now
they're three to. Nine you, Know Dan, quinn he's talking
about trying to focus on little, things, execution, attitude competing,
hard and you, KNOW i, mean, look obviously the season is.
Over you're pretty much building towards the. Future but if
(43:48):
you saw that game against The broncos last, week you're, going, well,
okay this looks very. Promising you, know if they can
if they can continue to play as they did last,
weekend THEN i think most fans can definitely.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
And you have a strong season ending, record yeah versus
you know the way it looks right.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
Now, yeah speaking of the, season just kind of circling
back to. HOLIDAY i hope you guys have gotten started
on your holiday shopping and all. That if you're thinking
about some really cool gift. Ideas this is not a cheap,
plug BUT i do want to bring a consumer alert
to you guys. Attention so Since i've been taking my
(44:34):
history class this, semester it's made me think a lot
about family, connecting, reconnecting and a lot of my family
on both sides of my, parents Like i've lost contact
with through the. Years like it's it's been a few,
(44:57):
decades And i've kind of been talking about this off
and on With tams the past couple of, years but
it really really amplified this. Year and So tams did
something really. Cool she actually was trying to do this for,
me entertain the idea off and, on like the past three.
(45:18):
YEARS i would, say give her a, take but she
finally pulled the trigger this. Year AND i think a
large part of that had to do just EVERYTHING i
was telling HER i was learning from my history classes
and all. That it's interesting, too because it's kind of
almost a continuation really because WHEN i graduated from community
college earlier in the, summer we were learning a lot
about how enslaved people after they you, know ran, away
(45:45):
from their. Enslavers they basically were putting ads and papers
trying to reunite with. Families you had some that somehow
managed To, okay, well you KNOW i was you, know
this was my slave, owner and you know they conceived
(46:08):
with my, mother and this had produced you, know this
person by the name of and all of, that the
whole genetic, thing and so Ultimately TAM's decided to get
me an ANCESTRY dna. Kit now here's where the consumer
alert comes into. Play not in the direction that you
(46:28):
guys are kind of, thinking but just peep this. Out
so Yesterday sam says to, Me, hey a package came
AND i THINK i was maybe having a afternoon nap or.
Whatever so whenever my phone is, AWAY i got my watch,
on and you, know my watch will go. Off so
in this, case my watch went. Off so that's HOW
(46:51):
i got your. Message i'm, like oh, Okay AND i
go downstairs AND i opened the front door AND i
see a. Package i'm, like oh. Okay, now the way
the package was set, up it was basically like sunnyside
up and just clear as day it said ANCESTRY dna.
(47:12):
Kit i'm, like, HMM i flip it over AND i
see you Know TAM's name and all. That i'm, like, oh, okay.
Cool AND i told, her you, know, HEY i know
about one of the packages that came cause she told
me two weeks. Ago anything that comes into, mail like
just pick it, up, like don't scrutinize, it don't try
to figure out who it's. From just pick it. Up i'm, like, okay.
(47:34):
Cool in this, CASE i had to see, where you,
know because the way it was, POSITIONED i could have
easily stepped on it without realizing. It so it's, like,
eh SO i see, this And i'm, like well that's
kind of. Bad, Why LIKE i get the packaging as
far as marketing, goes but let me see IF i
(47:54):
got this. Straight we can GET covid tests delivered to
our home and that's discreetly. Packaged if you want to
give yourself A std at home, kit that's discreetly. Packaged
if you want to check your stool and all, that
see if there's any form of cancer or whatever you
(48:16):
want to poop in a, box whatever that comes Discreet
but Damn heaven forbid you decide you want to give
yourself a ANCESTRY dna self, kit your business is all out.
There SO i say that to, say if you're thinking
about an ANCESTRY dna, kit make sure you have, that
(48:38):
like go To amazon locker.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
And you go pick it up. Yourself.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
Yeah SO i can't tell, you guys how MAD i
was when he told me. That AND i was because
the funny thing is when he told me, that because
he didn't tell me what was wrong in the.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
Beginning AND i, SAID i bet you it's.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
That and for anybody just a little bit, inside anybody
who knows me knows That i'm very big On christmas
And i'm very big about. Surprise so so and so
then he lee decides to call me and then confirmed.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
That it was to WHAT i thought it.
Speaker 4 (49:29):
Was and THEN i was even more, mad And i'm, like,
oh you're killing. ME i, mean grant you wasn't about.
Speaker 3 (49:37):
The, money you, know but it was more about the
ruin of the. Surprise so a very very very quick story.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
WAS i.
Speaker 4 (49:47):
WAS i GUESS i was seven or, eight, no about
right about, side AND i was IN i was.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
With my mom and we were Going. Chris it was
right Around.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
Christmas we had just went to the store and we
were trying to put some other stuff in the.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
Trunk AND i remember this. Vividly it was actually off
Of Bradley Bradley bulabird In Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
Avenue so, AnyWho i went AND i went into a
bag because something was falling out OR i had accidentally
went into a. Bag, well either, way it was something
that she had bought for me that was going to
be going under The christmas.
Speaker 3 (50:23):
Tree AND i saw.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
It AND i can't tell you how mad that woman
was THAT i had seen. It she was so mad
she vowed not to get me anything. Else she THOUGHT
i did it on. Purpose so BASICALLY i am roping
the two stories together because NOW i NOW i realized
(50:47):
how she felt when that. Happened As lee literally was, like,
Yeah i'm thinking pretty sure one of your surprises is.
Ruined i'm, like what do you, Mean i'm, Like and
THEN i started thinking about.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
It AND i was, like, mother and SO i.
Speaker 4 (51:01):
SAID i said to, Him he's, like were you just
being a little? RIDICULOUS i, said, no just leave it
out in the front of the. Porch i'll get it.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Right i'm, Like i'm, like, Man i'm, like don't shoot the,
messenger you, know shoot the. Cinder you, Know it's Like
it's LIKE.
Speaker 4 (51:20):
I didn't think in any form of my imagination that
it literally was going to, come saying here you, yeah you,
know it's so.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
Small it's so small, too. Guys like when it, comes
it's almost the size of a cassette. Player for those
of you that know about that type of, Technology it's
almost the size of a cassette. Player and LIKE i
was Telling, TAM's i told, HER i, SAID i, SAID
i shout out To Brandon shaw digging The. GRADES i
had ordered a mixtape of. His, uh, basically he did
(51:57):
this really great docu series mixtape and he had available
for pre. Order uh not essentially the soundtrack to that,
docuseriies but it's basically a prelude to the mixtape. Soundtrack
AND i wanted to support him and, everything and BECAUSE
(52:19):
i JUST i love the, docuseries AND i, thought, wow you,
know he's bringing cassettes back and he's doing, like let,
me let me support the. GUY i love the. Guy
and so WHEN i saw the, package Initially i'm, going,
oh this Is. Brandon i'm like, this this is my Boy.
Brown i'm like this the cassette Joint and they were,
like whoa. Ancestry i'm, like, Uh i'm, like oh. SHIT
(52:42):
i fell back BECAUSE i was like oh and then
and Then i'm, like why wasn't this put in the?
Mailbox i'm, like AND i think you said you have
sense check the, mailbox, Right it could have fit in
the Absolutely so makes no, sense makes no.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
Sense so maybe what.
Speaker 2 (52:57):
THE i mean IF i were to Be devil's advocate
for the me oh, man maybe the mailman kind of
looked at it and was, like, oh this is. Important
it actually looks.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Like it came from a different center THAN.
Speaker 4 (53:07):
Usps so that's probably why it got dropped off the?
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Front will you will you saw the?
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Footage who was it that came to the? Door was
it the? Postman?
Speaker 3 (53:17):
Ups it was it was the?
Speaker 2 (53:20):
Postman was it the? Postman or?
Speaker 4 (53:22):
Ups it was a. POSTMAN i saw it when you
dropped it off BECAUSE i got in the. Notification that's
WHEN i sent you the.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Text so maybe the postman just kind, of you, know
didn't want it to get bent that and or the
postman was, like this is, important this seems. Important it
seems that's THAT'S.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
I you, know in, hindsight everybody would have preferred did
he put it in the? Mailbox but you know it
is what it is at this. Point happy, Birthday yeah, right.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
You, Were tom And jerry little your little yellow, bird
every breck.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
Right Happy burki.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
EXACTLY i tell you who wasn't Happy the goddamn people
out there In wisconsin that went to that damn cinebun.
Place so chat. Checks, shot it's one hundred and eighty degree.
Term But Jesus, CHRIST i mean it's a good transition.
Though tell we're up to the folks a little bit
(54:26):
about that. Case they don't. Know and if you want
to see what we're talking, about hop on The facebook
show page at THE rcwr show and you'll, see, uh
what we're talking about because there's a. Video so.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
Now this is pretty. Ironic.
Speaker 4 (54:42):
Guys you want the white girl to talk about the
other white girl that's being a, Rasis.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
WELL i can say that. YOU i keep Telling, TABS
i keep Telling, Tabs, hey you're you're, Good you're we
consider you, black you, Family you're with. Us you Cool
and Like Tams TAM's can tell you all about power
the you know the series she just oh my, god
(55:12):
we didn't even put this on the damn. Joint we
didn't even put on the just drag our. Memory we
we you want to later, on we can figure out
a way to talk about. It so, basically what what
What i'm? Teasing, uh we did watch The diddy F
part documentary On. Netflix we did watch, it and uh,
(55:37):
yeah that's. All that's all we're gonna. Say we're gonna
see how the rest of the show, goes and if
we have enough, time we'll definitely get into. It but
Like tams knows her culture and and you, know you,
know and all and and all that all that good
stuff and. Everything so you, Know TAM's handles herself very,
well you, know around around us black. Folks, okay, okay all.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
This sudden And i'm not even gonna get long winded on.
This all of a, sudden you know what comes to?
Mind take a, guess probably.
Speaker 2 (56:09):
Power, no you're probably thinking at that time when, oh, yeah,
Yeah i'll never forget WHEN i got my, uh WHEN
i got My MALCOLM x. Tattoo i'll Never i'll never forget.
This so when we this was my first, tattoo by the,
WAY i said the, TABS i, said, well, well it
(56:30):
looks like we gotta go to the ghetto for this.
Tattoo and she was, like oh, yeah like, yeah we
gotta do the hardcore ghetto for this. One and she
just was, Like, okay where we're. GOING i love. THAT i,
mean she's just where we're, going, right because there used
to be a time Where TAM's was like a you can,
(56:53):
Go i'm gonna stay right, here come back in one piece,
though you. Know but, then LIKE i think what it
was like one of the things that kind of Just,
okay this is gonna come with the. Territory it is
what it. IS i remember WHEN i started doing gig.
Work one of the first JOINTS i DID i WAS
(57:15):
i was Doing instacart and back in the day, instacart
my got the pay used to be good back in
the day With instacart Because, INSTACART i can, remember especially.
Overnight that was My that was like my most favorite
was Doing instacar overnight BECAUSE i could go to a
store and pick up like only two. Items like typically
(57:37):
it would be, oh somebody needs either cough syrup and some,
tissue or, hey somebody's got a baby and they need
some milk formula and some, diapers and like those two
maybe three max four, Items like your payout is going
to be twenty five to thirty. Bucks but you have to.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
Drive about as comes with a, straw.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
RIGHT i was wanna, say but you have to drive
like twenty maybe twenty five. Miles oh, yeah you know
to that. Place and a lot of TIMES i would
be picking up like In, Bethesda, maryland AND i would
be going To southeast D. C SOMETIMES i would even
(58:23):
go TO Pg county and you, Know i'd be Letting tams, know, like,
Hey i'm out. Here da da da da, Da and
they got me going to the, ghetto you, know and she's,
like she's, like, yeah the money's. Good it's like if
you can, survive you, know like, right like you can
make an oupy neighborhood. Alive like money is. GOOD i
(58:43):
used to be going to some sketchy ass neighborhoods and
there was only.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
One or two. NEIGHBORHOODS i was just, like, okay you
can get me the funk out of.
Speaker 2 (58:50):
HERE i still remember that one time though we were
in that one. NEIGHBORHOOD i remember that at one time
we were in that one neighborhood and we were we
were dropping off to a home somewhere in uh In
Southeast and.
Speaker 4 (59:03):
Mind, you they already had cop. Presence, yeah fucking lights
like you was in a.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
Football yeah yeah that what the fuck is going?
Speaker 4 (59:11):
On that?
Speaker 2 (59:11):
Ship that ship was. Ridiculous and so there's this black,
woman this, old older black, woman she looking and she's
like kind of you, know she's she's out on, yeah,
Yeah TAM's driving and she and so and SO i
see clear as, day the old black, woman she kind of.
Looking she looking At tams and it's kind of, like, hey, hey, no,
(59:35):
no you ain't, Lee, no that that ain't my. Nigga.
Nah and THEN i get out the car AND i
wave it and all of a, sudden the old white
lady she cast the black. Lady she has this big ass.
Smell now now a smile comes up on her face
and she's. Waving it was, like leave my, nigga you.
(59:56):
Know but, UH i remember telling because we went through
a lot of it's a lot of areas in southeast that.
Shift AND i, said you know WHAT i, said you
know what. Tabs she's like WHAT i, said you you
braiden to My tarique for those of you that know
your power, SHOWS i was, like you you braiden To
Mike Tariq man and. Uh but then over, time you,
(01:00:18):
know she she evolved like she's no Longer. Braiden now She's.
Tommy you, know now She's. Tommy. Now the only Thing
i'm waiting for her to say, is, hey you fucking
called that potato. Salad what the fuck's wrong with? You you
gotta put some more soul in that. Bitch like, Now
i'm just waiting for her to like, say like little
shit like that part.
Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
It's not asking now taste that, ship, like, yep a
white person made.
Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
That, yep that has some soul in.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
It ah fucking. Crazy so, yeah talk about this cinebun.
Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
Cherry sorry about the same, way but it is a good.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Context all.
Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Right so this lovely woman.
Speaker 4 (01:01:08):
In wisconsin who's apparently a worker At, cinnabon and Obviously
i've alluded to the fact that this woman is, white.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
Looked middle, age, like oh, yeah she's definitely not from
What i'm, Like, Okay i'm.
Speaker 4 (01:01:25):
Gonna say either early forties or, okay, yeah that sounds
about right from the VIDEO i.
Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Saw so.
Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
These somalian people come in to The sennabon In wisconsin
and they're just trying to you, know do their thing
and you, know get something to. EAT i guess it's
get a sweet tooth on on and all. That so
(01:01:55):
at some point there is a couple behind the behind
the couple that's being, insulted that decides to pick up the.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Phone their phone and start recording this. Woman and you can.
Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
See claire's day with the video that the woman is
already in the midst of, essentially you, know insulting this
couple and what they. Do oh and it starts off by,
oh would you like me to put some water on?
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
You and then end up calling, it you, know them
THE n word for a.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
Record The somali couple were the ones that recorded oh,
okay not another.
Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
Couple oh, okay got?
Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
It so the couple was recorded okay THAT i misread
BECAUSE i thought it was. AnyWho The somali couple essentially
started recording this, woman AND i remember As claire as.
Day the woman, said you know you're ruining your life
(01:03:02):
right now to the woman and she, SAID i don't.
Care i'm a, racist and then basically ended up calling,
them calling them an, anward and then asking them and
continuing to double down even though they're essentially being very,
polite very rational with, her and she's continuing to call
them racial slurs and being very, nasty and they're it
(01:03:28):
was just not a good look for that. Establishment, well
basically turns out that day or the next, day that
woman was terminated immediately By sennabon and basically, say you,
know because of the egregious act that was, done they
have terminated that person and essentially they you, know her
(01:03:53):
values don't align with their company standards and or the oh,
lord what are the the people who basically buy into
The centemon franchisees is what they're. Called so she was terminated,
immediately and it's, like, okay, REALLY i, Mean i'm sorry
(01:04:15):
what happened to The let me just service the community
and do my job and go. HOME i, MEAN i
can't even imagine what they would have said or what
she said to.
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Them to essentially start that whole. Recording it's just. Crazy,
WELL i, mean.
Speaker 4 (01:04:38):
In the place of my, work you, know we deal
with all different types of ethnicities and, men women and
all of, that.
Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
Right but.
Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
In some, areas people are still setting their ways and
they still believe some people's rhetoric.
Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
And buy into.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
It so, basically my you, know verbiage here is.
Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
It's been a lot more out in public eye for
one person who believes their own, truth and for, her
her truth is that she was a racist and she
completely acted like.
Speaker 7 (01:05:27):
One now you, Know i'm gonna Be i'm gonna be
too the point about, This BUT i want to connect some.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Dots this Is. America, no that's. All this Is. America
Childish gambino Or Donald glover or whatever his name, is,
like this Is. AMERICA i say that to say this
what happened with This cenebun, Incident make no mistake about.
(01:06:04):
It the seeds have been, planted the amplification of people
showing their true disdain for the integration with other, races
people of different and sexual. Orientation it's only been amplified,
(01:06:30):
worse and it's been happening for a long, time way
Before President trump came into, play way before he became.
PRESIDENT i will give you a perfect, example not going
too deep in the weeds, here just stay with. Me
it ties to Centemn. KAREN i can remember vividly When
(01:06:55):
Barack obama won his first term and you had people
that were, like, wow how can this black son of
A you, know there were there were, peoples there were
they were. Mad and one of the first people to
jump out there and seized the opportunity of that rhetoric Was, Trump,
(01:07:20):
yeah are we sure he's even a born? Citizen because
with a name Like, obama you.
Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
Know.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
And and the biggest mistake That obama had made way
back then was essentially ignoring, it not fighting fire with.
Fire he let that ship. Grow, okay simple because.
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
They were already on his ass about a lot of things.
Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
And trying to fight the movement may have labeled him other.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Things simple with. Facts i've always been a firm believer
that has long long as the facts are on your
side and it's, undeniable like you can easily shut down.
Whatever but that's. Beyond that's, besides that's besides the. POINT
i remember when it came to his second. Term now
(01:08:17):
just think about this for a. Seconds four years that
passed and the rhetoric it just continued to, grow. RIGHT
i remember when he won his second. Term i'll never forget.
THIS i was on a, TRAIN i was hitting to
work AND i saw this guy come on the train
(01:08:37):
and he was picking up every single Free Washington. Express
it was like these free papers that we would get
daily from somebody that used to be outside and they'd greet.
Speaker 4 (01:08:53):
You.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Hey you know, paper you, know good, morning good, morning
how you, Doing? Hey have the? Paper have the? Paper
and you know these were it's, free you, know like
if you couldn't afford to pick up The Washington, posts
then you picked up the Free express, paper which was
by The Washington. Post and it was basically like a
little mini. Version it was a more pop culture kind
(01:09:16):
of a little bit more of an, outspoken outspoken kind
of little mini version of The Washington. Post basically it
was it was good, though it was a really good.
PAPER i was mad when they discontinued. It but he
was going around picking Up express papers anybody that had,
left you, know full blown, newspapers all the joints that
Had obama on it winning his second. Term he just
(01:09:38):
tore those. Up AND i said to, him this was
a white. Guy AND i said to, him, HEY i feel.
YOU i. Understand you, know you might be a little
mad because you know that guy. Won but rather than
tear up those, newspapers why not collect them all and
sell them on? eBay you can actually make some pretty good.
(01:10:00):
Money and he was, LIKE i hate that black son
of a. Bitch AND i, said, OKAY i, said we
have a good, day AND i kept it moving on
BECAUSE i was, LIKE i see where this is. Going,
okay so why AM i bringing that? Up some of
you may may be, GOING i don't quite see the
correlation of what You're the seeds of disdain towards people
(01:10:28):
of other, Races it's been there for a long, time
and it's just and really it kind of all really
came to surface When obama was. Elected and when you
have instigators opportunists like trumping his administration and insert whoever
(01:10:49):
else you want to put and associated with, That, okay
and you get to the point of where we are.
Now this isn't by design that This cinnebund lady just
flipped the fuck out and she's, like oh you sand
AND I G G E r and understand. Something we
(01:11:12):
are at this point that we're at right, now because
this comes After President trump for weeks now has singled
Out somali's and and, basically you, know it's honestly disgusting
(01:11:34):
the statements that he has been making About. Somalis AND
i don't know the One somali representative that's In, congress
but he has specifically been calling her out saying That
somali's are are disgusting and and JUST i don't know
(01:11:56):
why he's saying all this crap that he, sang but
it is a major contradiction considering that his, Wife milania
is an. Immigrant is an immigrant, yep so you, know
it's kind of one of Those well what makes her
any different than the people that you're talking? About you,
(01:12:19):
know like this country was founded and built by. Immigrants
this is obviously an individual that did not really spend
any time reflecting on history and remembering their history and
what is? What you, know why it is what it,
is at least for long term. Purposes play the game,
(01:12:41):
accordingly and you, know and if you want to talk
a different game behind closed, doors well then that's behind closed. Doors,
no this guy is just blatantly as far AS i am,
concerned he is putting questionable language and behavior out there
which suggests that he is are. Racist absolutely, Okay and
(01:13:03):
so when you are promoting, THAT i need people to
understand when you are promoting, that and you see this
viral clip of the cenebund, lady understand how that cinebund
lady got to the point where she is at is
she probably off her meds is she probably. Has she
probably been taking ketamine and and and dopamine AND lsd and.
(01:13:29):
Whatever probably. Has she most likely gotten in trouble with
the law a few. TIMES i haven't done any extended,
research but it wouldn't put it past. Me it would
not put it past, me you, know for an individual
to have that much, disdain that much hate in their,
HEART i just ca've.
Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Been drinking some real strong koolaid from the higher.
Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
Up.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Look, look, yeah but my whole thing, is if it's
going to be like, that why are you doing that
form of customer? Service if you have that much hate
in your? Heart why even put yourself in that position
where why not just do? Gigwork if you're able to,
drive why not just do? Gigwork or why, not you,
(01:14:15):
know get yourself a shift somewhere where you're working overnight
and the odds of you interacting with people is, very
very slim to. None to see a female and then
this is for, me what was really the most startling
the fact that this was a, female a white. Female
(01:14:38):
not that race, matters but really just that it was
a female and she had this level of hate in her.
Heart and then to turn around and pass. Gas i'm, going,
yeah do you have any self? Respect?
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
No, so in my.
Speaker 4 (01:15:07):
Many years of, LIFE i have seen that type of
behavior on and, off through, video through what have. You
i've even seen it in places That i've visited WHEN
(01:15:27):
i was a little. Girl and the mentality is very.
Different and that's WHY i GUESS i say her. Truth,
oh and that's WHY i guess WHY i say that
that's her truth in reference.
Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
To however she got to that, truth but that's Hers
and it's almost like.
Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
Vum basically just she's on top of the pillar mountaintop,
saying this is my truth And i'm sticking to it
And i'm going to do anything and EVERYTHING i can
to still continue to believe my.
Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
Truth and that's what it.
Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Is via, dignity via self, respect via, it all of
it goes out the window because she is focused on her.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Truth not correct for Most, americans but that's her.
Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
Truth AND i find it very upsetting that that it's that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
Way so for, me just very, QUICK i grew.
Speaker 4 (01:16:43):
UP i was born In Southwest, virginia went TO dc
WHEN i was, one and have grown up in THE
dmv ever. Since right, So Southwest virginia one set of,
morals one set of, beliefs so on and so. Forth
right up, here different set of, morals different set of,
(01:17:07):
Beliefs and it's almost like two different sides of a
coin of each person's. Truth and it's it's upsetting to
see when you don't believe that to see another person
be so she really humiliated herself for with with most,
(01:17:30):
people but she doesn't even see that because she just
she sees she only sees it as defending her own
truth m.
Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
And and it's it's it's quite.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
Sad and and the fact that you would stoop that
low and essentially get yourself fired right Before christmas is very.
Speaker 3 (01:17:52):
Stupid it's very. Stupid.
Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
Ah you, know LIKE i didn't even laugh WHEN i
saw that video for the first. Time and if you
haven't seen the, video LIKE i, said just you can
hop on Our facebook page and then go check it.
Out but like WHEN i watched the, VIDEO i didn't even.
LAUGH i just shook my head in disbelief BECAUSE i
Just i'm used to seeing that kind of, rhetoric like
(01:18:23):
where someone is getting out of their car and their
spewing like because maybe somebody was driving too close to,
them or maybe they got cut, off or maybe this
person is on their property and they're saying what they're,
saying and you, know they don't give a, Fuck but
to see it to that, Level i'm almost reminded of a.
(01:18:48):
Story and feel free to look this, up, y'all But
i'm almost reminded of a story that happened about three
to five years ago where there was a black woman
that found herself in The south somewhere and she bullshit you.
Not she was trying to find a place to eat
(01:19:09):
and she went to this one place where the owner
had said to, her we don't serve your. Kind this
was WITHIN i bullshit you. Not this was in the
last three to five. Years just type in a Bing google, search.
Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
Woman mind you of something back in the, sixties, Right.
Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
Just type in black woman denied service at restaurant and,
like you you should be able to see What i'm talking.
About and she's, like excuse me WHAT i? Mean she
was really taken back by, it and she was, LIKE
i don't see no sign that says, that and you,
know and all, this and the owner doubled. Down and
(01:19:50):
then you had some white. CUSTOMERS i guess they were longtime,
customers and they pretty much was, like, yeah you you
in the wrong fucking. Neighborhood you you best leave right.
NOW i mean.
Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
So, WELL i can promise you THAT i had a
nice conversation with a gentleman that.
Speaker 3 (01:20:12):
Frequents our establishment.
Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
And he works For, congress and he, said AND i,
quote there are a lot of people who could be
considered white supremacists.
Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
THERE o marinate on that for a. Tick where you
want to go? Next you want to talk about This Sarah? Stock. Aw,
yeah so that's been kind of. INTERESTING i gotta tell,
you it is a ever evolving with this. WOMAN i
(01:20:50):
actually befriended her on social media way before all this
stuff like even went, down and she's been into a
lot of the stuff that she's been saying AT aw
for some days. Now she has now gone. Day so
for those of you that maybe are not, Aware Sarah
(01:21:11):
stock she actually used to work FOR. Aw SHE i
don't know if she was let go or if she
was able to leave at her own, volition but she's
no longer associated with the company. Whatsoever and she's been
making the headlines as she's taken to social media saying
(01:21:33):
that aw's backstage environment suffered from severe corruption and. Negligence
she wrote in part on social. Media JUST i mean
this is almost a, masterclass because we'd be here for
an hour just looking at all the stuff that she's been,
posting but like in a, nutshell just to give you
guys a little taste of some of the. Stuff she's been,
(01:21:53):
saying corruption and negligence are running unchecked AT, aw talent
and company safety continues to be put at. Risk she
specifically calls OUT keyaw staff by, name alleging the company's
performance psychology Director Chris manazone AND hr slash people and
(01:22:19):
culture Lead Karen Van, bidder alleging THE hr system is
broken and improperly. Restructured one of her major, COMPLAINTS aaw
replaced what she describes as an extremely, qualified, diverse and
beloved team of mental health professionals with what she calls
(01:22:40):
a third party booking. App according to, her this harms
wrestler's will. Being she also alleges discriminatory or what the
hell is that my? Watch what's going? OFF i think
that's my? WATCH i hang on. HERE i don't know
why that's going? Off hanging? Here oh sorry about, that.
(01:23:03):
Guys She one of her major complaints, here she alleges
that discriminatory or unequal treatment of foreign and Especially mexican female,
wrestlers saying that they were flown into THE us early for,
shows kept in country for extended, periods given no predems
(01:23:28):
or food. Allowance, yeah, sorry how you pronounced? That for
m FOR dms thank you or food, allowance and only
allowed one day a week, home while many male or
local wrestlers got preferential treatment like trevel assistance and more.
Support she also claims that in one backstage incident she
(01:23:51):
helped respond, to she was ignored in the investigation even
though she was. There according to, her aw's internal safety
and town relations processes failed when it counted. Most, so,
yeah this is where we are in a. Nutshell so
obviously she's talking about health, support, mismanagement lack of, transparency unsafe.
(01:24:15):
Environments that's what we're talking. About that she's spent out
in a. Nutshell there has been a few INSIDE aw
that have publicly responded to, This ricochet being one of those. People,
Now i'm not going to Say ricochet should be, disregarded
BUT i am Because ricochet hasn't even been there in
the company for a. Year, remember he came to aew
(01:24:38):
earlier this, year, Okay and, furthermore.
Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
He's also one of their top.
Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
Talents he's also one of their top talents right. Now
And ricochet of course is going to wave that flag
for the. Company and also at the same, Time ricochet
is a cap know this About ricochet if you don't,
Already If ricochet sees something is, trending he wants the
(01:25:07):
end on the. Action so you gotta look at what he's.
Saying and now with what the comment That ricochet had made, saying,
no we just didn't like, you, lol he could be
revealing something of second hand knowledge where, no there were
(01:25:30):
just certain people in the company that you, know he
could be tipping his, hand you, know, essentially so the
way you can look at, that you, know, yeah he's,
defending but he could also inadvertently be further Helping Sarah
stocks cause at the same time and everything now some
(01:25:55):
and rightfully, So i've criticized what they see In. Stock
aaron grieves since publicly applying her allegations may be more
personal than. Institutional but that, said as of right now
where we stand at the time at least of this,
recording there's been no official response FROM aaw management addressing
(01:26:17):
her claims in full. Detail, now what is still unclear
or still up in the. Air stock is saying she
has receipts behind the scenes, evidence but she has in
publicly shared full documentation footage OR affi davids that would
prove every. Allegation it's unclear how many current or FORMER
(01:26:41):
aw talents support or corroborate her claims outside of a
few reactions on social. MEDIA i know one thing right,
now when she was saying what she was saying about
imagine being a talent and you, know you come here
and blah is blot. AT i know one of her
posts related to that got a heart or whatever you
(01:27:03):
want to call it From stephanie the kir who, remember
at one point was in Ae. Wu she was trying
to work towards a contract and you, know but then
she ultimately went TO. Wwe so you, know besides those
few little, reactions it's really hard to gauge how widespread
(01:27:26):
this alleged treatment is or, was you. Know and then
most importantly not to. Mention BECAUSE aw hasn't officially, responded
we don't know if internal investigations have been launched or will,
be if policies will be changed going, forward or how
many Of stock's claims will be acknowledged or dealt.
Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
With But tony ka so how far she's willing to take?
It if she's talking about she has.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
Receipts, Right Tony kahan has been you, know obviously it
kind of sounds to me like no gag order was
put in place upon her being, uh you, know released
or whatever the circumstances, are, right whatever the circumstances were
(01:28:12):
for her exiting AE W LIKE i you, know obviously
she feels quite comfortable to the point that she's able
to say these things that she is able to. Say
AND i can imagine that as far as what is
happening right, NOW i know a lot of, people a
lot OF aw fans are looking at this and they're,
(01:28:33):
going why isn't twenty? Conrresponding why isn't anybody IN aew
responding to? This and it could be a case where just,
legally they probably are working behind the scenes trying to
seem like.
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
Okay, Control they just to believe they're doing damaged. Control
they just.
Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Haven't they haven't put anything out yet because they don't
want to.
Speaker 2 (01:28:55):
Misstep some people are, saying, well is it is it
possible That Tony kahan may address this by the time
it comes to AEW's next Media scrum, event which definitely
will be happening On december twenty, seventh That's, saturday for
(01:29:16):
Their World's end event at The Now arena In. Chicago
that's very well. Possible but my advice BECAUSE i know
in the past we used to have some folks FROM
aw because of my coverage of Their dynamite And rampaid
shows for the podcast THAT i would, do and also
(01:29:37):
WHEN i was working writing up the reviews For full One,
MANIA i know that there was a good handful of
folks AT aw that was checking out my. STUFF i
don't know how many of them are still keeping tabs
on our, shows but my biggest piece of advice to
them right now would be to not wait Until december twenty.
(01:30:00):
Seventh you want to get ahead of this as quickly as,
possible and because the longer they remain silent about, this
the worse it looks for.
Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
Them, yeah and the more that's going to grow keep.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
Going the more you, know the worse it looks for,
them and the more it's going to grow as it
pertains to the issue at. Hand you know you HAVE i, mean,
okay take a couple of, days, Fine but if you
don't respond within a timely, manner public opinion is going
(01:30:40):
to form about the reasons why you're Not AND i
would strongly advise them not to wait till the twenty
seventh Of, december when it's literally the beginning of the month.
Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
And your thoughts in general just about like there's a
lot to unpack. Here AND i mean she's been at
it for for. DAYS i mean it is just it's
almost like she's not sleeping and she is just and
you can't really help if you can't really help with
wonder if this is like a case of farm, engagement
(01:31:14):
and SHE i, know one of the things that she's, like,
hey you, know now That i've got your, attention support
this kickstarter campaign for my friend and his. Book and it's, like,
so what is this really a what is this really?
About are you doing what you're doing because you have
your version of a truth that needs to be brought
(01:31:37):
to light or is this click engagement? Farming are you
trying to put yourself In i'm only saying with other
people like this is how some people are thinking and
these are the right kind of questions because you, know
obviously you're not gonna say anything when you are working
for the, employer right.
Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
When you're still in the.
Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
Contract right is that a? Bracer and you like and
you like the money that you're, getting, Right so unless
you're able to you, know, well, hey you, know the
grass is now greener over. Here i'm now with these,
Guys NOW i CAN i can spit the? Truth it just.
Speaker 4 (01:32:15):
Yeah so there's so many layers to that because as
a as an independent, contractor you are in a, way
even though you're trying to state an issue for your,
truth that's an issue other companies are looking at you, saying,
(01:32:38):
well damn is she going to do the same thing with?
Speaker 3 (01:32:40):
Us, so in, essence you're literally digging yourself a home.
Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Because there's a lot of companies that may have been
interested and may not be interested anymore because of the
baggage that you come with and the fact that you
continue to.
Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
Just layer and layer and layer and layer and layer.
Speaker 5 (01:33:06):
On DO i Believe DO, i as a casual, fan
believe that that's?
Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
Possible? YEAH i, do.
Speaker 4 (01:33:22):
Because you AND i have already had the conversation about
or at least that's how it's.
Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
Felt you, know it is a show of what eighty ten.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
Eighty to the men's matches ten or twenty two, women
and it just doesn't seem to be the same. Level
it just doesn't seem to be the same, CALIPER i,
MEAN i think that when they do, IT i think
(01:34:02):
it's fairly. Reasonable but those are some strong claims like undocumented,
workers you, know unlawful working. Conditions those are some strong
claims to be. Spewing and the, fact LIKE i, said you,
(01:34:25):
know if you wanted to do this privately and plead
your case and maybe go to claims courd or civil
cord or, whatever that is okay, Maybe but if you
are LITERALLY i, mean you guys know that anything you
put on social, media especially if you've got a little
(01:34:47):
bit of strength behind your, name oh my, god it
blows up like an. Explosion and everybody has seen some
part of a. Post everybody either either has seen, it
has heard about, it or knows about it from someone.
Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
Else so does it look good for?
Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
Her but if she is doing this to shed light
for other people so that they don't have to go through,
that then good for.
Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Her but be prepared for the backlash of.
Speaker 2 (01:35:27):
It see what made me what made me a huge
fan Of sarah's is of her work that she did
back in the, day BECAUSE i can remember her wrestling
For Lucha libre CMLL. TNA i know she even did
(01:35:50):
some stuff For World Wonder. Ringstardom, so, Like i've been
a fan of her work for many any many. Years
so WHEN i came across her own social, media uh
several weeks, BACK i was, Like, oh she's On she's
(01:36:13):
ON x like you, know Or twitter AS i like
to call. It, Still i'm, like, okay. Cool and it's
interesting because the stuff that she's, posting it's really weird
because she'll post these provocative photos of herself while also
taking jabs at AE. W so there is some there's
(01:36:37):
some there's some click engagement that's going on there with.
Her you, know obviously she is in a place where
she does not give too fucks and she Is, yeah that.
Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
Would that would be that would be a good way to, know.
Speaker 2 (01:36:54):
You, know as far as to say, that you, know
because obviously this is somebody that doesn't care about potentially
trying to get a job WITH wwe or IN wa
Or it's kind of like. Yo you, know if she
ain't wrestling nowhere, else it kind of seems or working
behind the scenes in the managerial, role it seems like
(01:37:14):
she's content and you, know with where things are right
now and, everything but you know, this it just comes
off a little unhealthy for. HER i know it was
last month she got into it on social media WITH
(01:37:37):
i think it Was Amanda, huber widow Of Luke. Harper
she got into it with her over some spot that
happened on one of their pay per, views and it
kind of JUST i don't know If sarah kind of
looked at that and, said, OH i got something going
(01:37:58):
here where IF i do adjust write and you, KNOW
i play my cards with my social media, GAME i
can you, know BUT i would just say to, her
IF i could bend her, EAR i would just say to,
her what do you really hope to gain from? This?
(01:38:20):
What what is your ultimate goal? Here because if your
ultimate goal is to spill out what you believe to be,
truths you're talking about taking on a essentially not a global,
empire but you are taking on an, empire you, know
(01:38:43):
and you will likely lose to, this, yes you. Know it's,
like so how you know have you really thought that
IF i could bend her, Ear i'd be, like how
far are you willing to take? This how thick of
enough skin do you have to? Endure what? Is because
you're gonna be dealing with the hardcore aw fans that
(01:39:07):
are at, times and they've demonstrated it many times over
the years that they can be over zealous fans and
right down to the point that some of those fans
they will docks you and you'll be getting death threats
and all this other. Stuff so it's kind of one
of those how far are you willing to? Go you,
(01:39:30):
know how much longer are you willing to continue doing?
This what is the end? Go you? Know AND i
would really need for her to sit down and just you,
know what do you hope to accomplish? Here? Right think
about all of those, things because let me tell you
(01:39:52):
something from What i've seen over the, years with anybody
that has tried to say anything, bad even if they
felt it was the, truth it has not ended. Well,
yep it has not ended well for. Them it just it.
Hasn't So i'm really really you, know you, know this
(01:40:18):
is not going to end, Well this is not gonna end.
Well it's definitely not gonna end well for her from
a legality. Standpoint IF i am AE, W i am
definitely ultimately going to do a cease and desist because you,
know you're talking about, slander you're talking about, defamation.
Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
And most likely when you're dealing with that kind of
a company that is really an. Empire As li, said
they're going to have you for, Lunch they're, lawyers will
have you for. Lunch and if you're like the only
person as far as the lone wolf as they could would,
(01:41:06):
say to try to fight this, man it's almost like
fighting a losing battle because it's you against as you against.
Speaker 3 (01:41:19):
A lot of heavy, hitters.
Speaker 4 (01:41:22):
AND i don't necessarily think that you're gonna win that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
Fight just from a legality. STANDPOINT i know we were
talking about, defamation but really look at that as an umbrella,
term because you, know this can be split into a
couple of. Areas here we're talking, liable which is definitely
something THAT i learned a lot in my journalism, classes
and this basically applies to written, Statements so this includes
(01:41:50):
social media, posts, articles. SCREENSHOTS aw would have to prove
the statements were false That Sarah stock is making and
that they were presented as fact not, Opinion they cause
measurable harm to reputation or, business they were made with
(01:42:12):
negligence or actual, malice depending on. Status then that ties into,
slander which basically applies to spoken, statements, interviews, videos, podcasts
and let me tell you, Something AND i would definitely
say this To. Sarah do not do any, interviews do
not do any, videos do not do any. Podcasts do
(01:42:35):
not fire up your fucking webcam and spell out because
you're going to be GIVING aw. Ammo, also in regards to,
slander the same burden of proof as, liable just verbal
instead of. Written you, know you got to think about
all of, that and then the other thing that you
(01:42:56):
have to consider as, well people torturous interface. Spearance this
applies IF aw can prove her statements directly calls loss
of business, deals loss of sponsor, relationships loss of media,
contracts talent refusing to. Sign so this claim basically would
(01:43:16):
argue she interfered with aw's existing or potential business. Relationships
you then have business disparagement trade libel that's slightly different
from the deformation umbrella that we talked about. Earlier this
would basically focus on harm to the company's products or,
(01:43:37):
services not just. Reputation SO aw would need to show
false statements about their, operations, safety or, professionalism and then
direct financial damage tied to those. Claims and then just
two more THINGS i want to tackle, here breach of.
Contract so IF nda, exists If Sarah stock signed a
(01:43:59):
non disclosure agreement or a non disparagement, CLAUSE aw cousue
strictly on contract violation. Alone there would be no need
to prove. Defamation if A nda was breached and then
you have a civil. Conspiracy this is less, likely but
it's still. Possible you could put this on the. Table
(01:44:20):
this one would apply IF aw can prove she coordinated
with others to intentionally damage the. Company, again very hard to,
prove and this is rarely. Successful so most companies they
don't rush to sue immediately in cases like this because
(01:44:43):
lawsuits basically force discovery and then you've got internal, EMAILS
hr records and incident reports that basically ultimately it becomes
public and then the case can easily backfire in. Pr
that's why from what we were talking about, earlier, silence you, know.
(01:45:05):
Interviews could it be a case where there could be
a quiet. Settlement there's like more more things that can
that can. Happen but hopefully this kind of puts everybody
BECAUSE i don't, HONESTLY i don't think anybody's really gonna
be breaking it down the way that we're breaking it
down right. Here but just just kind of food for
(01:45:27):
thought on that. One CONGRATULATIONS a little bit of a lighter.
Note congratulations are in order TO Tna. WRESTLING Tna wrestling
has inked a deal WITH. Amc how about? That what
Is Darryl Dixon dixon doing in The Impact? Zone? Uh
(01:45:47):
they announced A oh my, god It's. Vegan oh my. God,
Well jillett fucking Will. GERS i woke up today saying
it's gonna be a mighty good fucking, day and HERE
i am in The Impact. ZONE tna announced a multi
(01:46:11):
year media rights agreement WITH. Amc under this, deal TNA's
flagship weekly, show now Called Thursday Night, impact will air
ON amc in The United states Beginning january, fifteenth twenty twenty.
Six show is going to be running for two hours Every,
thursday nine pm to eleven. Pm in addition to THE tv,
(01:46:35):
broadcast it will also be available for streaming on AMC's streaming.
SERVICE Amc Plus Live premier is going to be taking
place at The Curtis Colwell center In Dallas Fort, Worth. Texas.
Yeah so apparently this is roughly a three year deal
sees them going until at least twenty twenty. Nine so
(01:47:00):
big increase as far as visibility though consistent weekly life,
programming and then you got the streaming and cable, reach
so many households have access TO amc, stability. LEGITIMACY i,
mean this is like nothing but good FOR. Tna wrestling
like a little engine that.
Speaker 3 (01:47:21):
Could, yeah, yeah that's. True for. Me WHEN i first
heard about, it it was, like wait a, minute what.
Speaker 4 (01:47:31):
You, know gone are the days when we were both you,
know growing up WHERE amc was just about older movies.
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
And they haven't really been that in, many, many many many.
Years But i'm happy FOR.
Speaker 4 (01:47:49):
TNA i really am as it pertains to everything That
ley just. Said but now it's about the logistics Of,
okay what does that look?
Speaker 3 (01:48:02):
Like you, know is the product going to step?
Speaker 4 (01:48:04):
Up you, know are you gonna obviously more eyes on
the product definitely means you, know better visibility and possibly you,
know just more and more. Programming it was funny just
here that A tna executive or head. Honcho, literally the
(01:48:28):
deal was done the day after his.
Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
Birthday oh that's.
Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
So, Cool, okay, okay nice it was then the day after.
Speaker 4 (01:48:37):
His birthday because it was always The, OKAY i know
a deal's going to get, done but where's the, who the,
how the, when the, where and all of that came
to a head the day after his birthday when the
deal was, Sealed so that was kind of. Cool that
is the other piece of that for me is just
to SEE i, mean, obviously just like anything else.
Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
New Carlos. Silva, yes just like.
Speaker 4 (01:49:01):
Anything else new obviously the, beginning and there's going to
be a lot of eyes on the, product so they have.
Speaker 3 (01:49:07):
A very very very very very very small window to,
capture grab and.
Speaker 2 (01:49:14):
Convert.
Speaker 4 (01:49:17):
NOW i feel like the streaming service will help them
because that is going to give them way more. Visibility
and we all know, that you, know there's not a
lot of things that are watched in real.
Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
Time, yeah, yeah you're absolutely. Right and let me say
this right. Now for those of you that's been long time,
listeners you may remember that back in the, day we
had a Weekly thursday show Called Impact showdown that solely
COVERED Tna. WRESTLING a large part of the reason why
(01:49:53):
that show went on Hiate is is BECAUSE Tna wrestling
was jumping around on network works THAT i could not
gain access. TO i remember at one point they were
streaming live episodes OF Tna impact on Their twitch, channel
AND i remember there used to be we used to
(01:50:14):
Have Josh matthews And i'm trying to Think Don kallis
And Brian cage and Then Brian cage's, WIFE i can't
think of her name right. Now they would be like
in between commercial, breaks you, know they'd be hosting The
(01:50:35):
twitch stream showing OF tna so if you couldn't access
it On ACCESS, tv you could just watch The twitch
stream at that, time and it was a nice little
and SO i used to try to Do Impact showdown that,
way but it just became too goddamn tedious for. Me
but for those of you, curious WILL i be bringing
(01:50:58):
Back Impact showdown to cover those episodes Of, Impact, YES i.
Will in the way it's looking right. Now i'm not
really a fan of the nine to eleven o'clock timeframe
because that would MEAN i would need to that would
have to be a really tight, show LIKE i would
have to do like forty five minutes to an, hour no,
(01:51:19):
more no, less and then. Bounce i'd be up for the.
CHALLENGE i think with the way things are looking for
my spring semester of, CLASSES i could pull it. OFF
i THINK i could pull it. Off but but, Yes
Impact showdown will be coming, Back so mark it down
on your calendars That january, FIFTEENTH i will be live
(01:51:42):
Covering Impact Showdown. Fallout let me just say this on
the on the business side of, things it is still
early in regards To netflix announcing plans to Acquire Warners
warner Brother discoveries premium studio assets that INCLUDE Hbo warner Brother,
(01:52:04):
studios while spinning off the traditional cable networks into a,
separate publicly traded company pending regulatory. Approval what that means for,
wrestling sports and entertainment, Distribution, guys it is still. Early
we are not going to spend ten twenty minutes talking
about some what does this mean for Aug it is still.
(01:52:27):
Early this is the thing that you definitely need to
know in a nutshell when it comes to Aw they
just re upped their deal With Warner Brothers Discovery october
of last year and it went into affect Effective january
of this. Year they have three guaranteed more years left
(01:52:48):
on their current, deal and there is a fourth option
at an additional year option Should Warner Brothers discovery decide
they want to pick that. Up so all you guys
need to know right now is, that, Like, okay, look
when it's all said and done twenty twenty, eight for,
(01:53:09):
SURE aws locked and loaded where they are twenty twenty
nine and beyond that's where it kind of gets a little.
Uncertain but unfortunately we can say that there's gonna be
so many podcasts that's going to be LIKE Aw it's
and all. That like if you, want if you're if
(01:53:31):
you are a wrestling fan that appreciates all things wrestling
and just you're AN aw. Fan my best piece of
advice And i'm sure you would agree with, this when
you're able to check out the live episodes whenever they
air on TN. Ttbs if you're not able to watch
them when they initially, air but you got them on YOUR,
dvr watch them ON, dvr hop over ON Hbo. Max
(01:53:56):
watch the shows that. Way they're looking at all of those. Metrics, oh,
absolutely you know that's that's the best advice to give
one more thing we can get. Into see that that's.
It you thought we was GONNA i told, you, like
we ain't doing no fifteen twenty, Minutes like it's it's fucking.
Early what do you expect it's still, Early like it's
going to be at least twelve to eighteen. Minutes THE
(01:54:16):
ftc has to, decide like it's so many, things just
it's literally cooking in the oven right. Now one last
thing we can get. Into tell folks about this Whole
John cena potential lawsuit thing Of Ma jigga.
Speaker 3 (01:54:33):
So Pete schofield.
Speaker 4 (01:54:38):
Who it was a musician back in the, seventies seemed
like an. Instrumentalist their claims are That John cen and
tkowwe essentially took a section of a song that we
(01:55:00):
put out by him the, seventies back in the, seventies
that the daughter owns rights to.
Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
That they on.
Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
Basically used that and didn't get proper authorization to use.
Speaker 2 (01:55:16):
It.
Speaker 4 (01:55:18):
Shit and so just for my own because actually that's
a little niche of mine THAT i actually. Like it
was kind of interesting to, see, uh you, know with
The robin thick and blurred lines for The Marvin gaye
case as far as you, know does it doesn't it
kind of. Thing SO i looked up and what the
(01:55:39):
song is is Called The night The Lights Went out
In georgia By Pete schofield and The canadians.
Speaker 3 (01:55:50):
Correct so.
Speaker 2 (01:55:55):
In Claire's.
Speaker 4 (01:55:56):
Day as soon as the song opens, up didn't Dun.
Speaker 3 (01:56:04):
It's like.
Speaker 4 (01:56:06):
Whoa and obviously as a song you know goes, on
it's you, know it's going into a, different different. Version
but they have that particular segment in THE wwe on lock.
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
And it's like on repeat and then of course you
know the rest of the.
Speaker 4 (01:56:29):
Verbiage but it's it's it's pretty damn.
Speaker 2 (01:56:35):
Close it's funny that you mentioned what you mentioned about
blurred Lines Robin thick AND i remember how The Marvin
Gay estate handled that in. Everything But i'm also thinking
About i'm also thinking ABOUT J dilla and the LATE J,
(01:56:56):
diller one of the greatest producers be makers of all.
Time love that, dude Miss, some Miss some. Daily we
use some of his music right. Now if he was
still here, Today, mags he'd be just killing it right
now with all these. Artists BUT i remember When Tarika
(01:57:21):
blue it was a band uh from like back in the.
Seventies they only released one. Album it Was IT'S i
Think it's a self titled album and, uh Basically Jay
Dilla erica Bad they sampled the song Dream flower off
of that album for one Of Erica badu's hit songs
(01:57:47):
from back in the. Day i'm trying to, think what's
the name of the what's the name of The Erica bodu.
Song it'll come to me in a little. Bit but
basically you would have thought that, like, oh, well you,
know they only made one, album they've pretty much gone into. Oblivion,
like but there was actually like that song Won Eric
(01:58:08):
abaudu A grammy and so like it was just just catching.
Fire and then it turns out there was still a
couple of members still alive From Tarika, blue and they
basically Took eric abad D J dilla the record company to,
court and they basically were able to settle it and
(01:58:30):
in part some of the money That Tika blue was
able to get from that, case they used part of
that money to make sure their album was put out
there on digital platforms and, everything kind of reintroducing it To. Yeah,
yeah so and it's so amazing because same thing like
(01:58:52):
The John cena, Joint like they just took that simple,
riff that simple, riff And Jay dilla just brilliantly built over.
That no different than What Jim, johnson because let's be,
honest If i'm not, MISTAKEN i THINK i Think Jim
johnson might have had something to do with The John
(01:59:15):
cena Song.
Speaker 3 (01:59:16):
Bear so it was funny While lee's looking that.
Speaker 4 (01:59:21):
Up, yeah it's, actually, guys it's one of my favorite.
Movies if you're a Big bernie mac fan or Like SAMUEL.
L jackson and you're and you like his dry.
Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Humor it literally is a movie called Soul.
Speaker 4 (01:59:39):
Min and there's a segment in there BEFORE i even
got into beats and things of that, nature and even
knowing you, know any of, that there was a scene
where the guy was trying to record this song and
they were sampling off of Soul, min which was group
(02:00:00):
in the.
Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
Movie and he's, like, man he, said what did he?
Say he, said artist? Borrow, Right, oh.
Speaker 2 (02:00:13):
Okay But i'm looking at The John cena joint. Now so,
no the producer of this Was Jake. One and, yeah
as far as the, Songwriters John, Cena Mark, Predica ROBERT. L,
Russell Jamal, Greenwich Eric Murray Darryl. Pittman so, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:00:37):
Yeah but the funny thing, is and here's WHAT i
find a little bit, ironic if you want me to be, honest.
Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
Is the man is getting ready to, Retire he's.
Speaker 4 (02:00:49):
Got one more, match and all of a, sudden you
think now's the time to do the. Lossuit he's been
pushing this song for.
Speaker 3 (02:01:01):
Anahalla.
Speaker 2 (02:01:03):
SEE i can't help but. Wonder and this is the
one thing THAT i did not, research and Maybe i'll
revisit it On monday. Show But i'm, curious when did
the guy that made the. Song i'm curious when did he?
Die and then like the daughter like because that would
(02:01:25):
tell me ALL i needed to, know because it could
you could almost make an argument, that you, know, okay,
well if the father died like fifteen to twenty years,
ago for all we, know maybe there was some type
of publishing clearance issue that the estate had to go,
(02:01:46):
through or you, know what have. You maybe the daughter
just honestly did not, know or whoever is in charge
of the, estate they just did not, know and it
just now was a case where you, know they they you, know,
oh so this is what, Happened like what's going? On, like,
wow how long has this been going? On you, know
(02:02:07):
was not aware of this BECAUSE i don't watch wrestling
and all this other, stuff you.
Speaker 3 (02:02:12):
Know so apparently he passed. Away, okay hold.
Speaker 2 (02:02:24):
On And TAM's, Well TAM's is doing, that didn't you?
Know so it Was Erica badus song Called didn't You
know from two thousand from her Album Mama's gun that
was produced By Jay, dilla and there is A Tarika
(02:02:45):
blue sample Of dreamflower from AGAIN i said the nineteen,
seventies But i'm thinking like late nineteen. Seventies and the
lawsuit was fouled By Tarika, blue which IF i were
to Describe Tarika blue to you, GUYS i would say jazz.
Funk that's the best WAY i can pretty much sum it.
(02:03:09):
Up and, yeah they got. Sample Terika blue won the.
Lawsuit court basically ruled that the sampling was a copyright
infringement and unauthorized derivative work, basically and so the publishing
(02:03:30):
rights had to be, reassigned royalties were redirected To Tarika
blue's rights, holders and proper legal credit and compensation were
enforced after the. Fact so you, know this was a
pretty big. Deal when this case had went down TO
i need people to understand because it confirmed that melody based,
(02:03:54):
samples even the most smallest, ones those basically require. Clearance
and it reinforced that producers are legally responsible and that
artists can be sued even if they didn't personally clear the.
Sample SO i say all this to say this could
(02:04:15):
definitely come back to Buy John, CENA wwe and all
of them in the. Ass why IS wwe involved in?
This some of you may, say you might find it
kind of because back in the day when the song came,
out and When John cena's one and only album came,
out it was under WWE's record. Label.
Speaker 4 (02:04:33):
Right, also the Artist Peter schaufelm Died april third of
nineteen ninety.
Speaker 3 (02:04:42):
Five.
Speaker 2 (02:04:45):
So maybe it's at what age it doesn't say.
Speaker 3 (02:04:51):
Doesn't, say so you, know.
Speaker 2 (02:04:54):
You can only assume that maybe around that time the
the daughter was kind of relatively the daughter was relatively,
young unless it was a case where Because i'm waiting
for you to, say, like, yeah when he, died he
was in his, seventies and because because if you tell
me he was in his, seventies THEN i can go, Okay,
(02:05:15):
well if his daughter is the. One he was seventy,
one so it's possible his. Daughter it's possible his daughter
was either in her teens or maybe in her early.
Twenties and, honestly baby and everybody at, home it's just
one of those deals where like it may sound really,
(02:05:36):
weird but if she went years upon, years like she
doesn't normally check out, wrestling she doesn't care for, wrestling
and somebody just said to, her, HEY i think your
dad's song you, know used for you, know or maybe
she was flipping the channels and, yeah one DAY i
was just flipping the channels AND i just saw AND
(02:05:57):
i was, like what the, Hell, like, dude they got
clearance for, That and that's.

eighth twenty twenty, five coming on After rawl goes off the.
Air you Know John cena real quick thoughts about the
(02:08:43):
fact that he did the interview With Bill simmons on
The ringer and revealed that he said TO, wwe, Yo
i'm down to do two hundred and twenty, dates And ww's,
like we only need you for thirty. Six you ain't
even gotta be long. Winded just just, what just just
(02:09:04):
whatever comes to your.
Speaker 4 (02:09:05):
MIND i guess maybe they didn't want to extend it too.
Long as far as a farewell, tour and but then, again, well,
hell even fifty six times too is shit one hundred
(02:09:27):
and one hundred and. Twelve so even, so they would
either have had to extend the time to for more
than a, year or he'd literally be on every single
(02:09:48):
time they were.
Speaker 3 (02:09:49):
On, it and then maybe it would look like.
Speaker 4 (02:09:58):
OVERSATURATION i don't, KNOW i DON'T i don't know where
they were going with.
Speaker 3 (02:10:08):
IT i, mean one would think that.
Speaker 4 (02:10:11):
If that's what, you, know wanted to, do and really, saying,
HEY i can do this many, dates why not use that.
Speaker 2 (02:10:24):
Really makes you. Wonder combine that with the fact of
just how they have Fumbled John cena's retirementor and then
to hear that this guy offered to do two hundred
and twenty essentially full time, essentially and like that is
plenty of long term. Storytelling he is basically, saying we
(02:10:47):
can ride this to Next. WrestleMania it's so infuriating to
me that the way this is, looking UNLESS wwe is
going to give us some type of a weird swerve that,
basically wait a, minute wait, minute you're so fucking close
To WrestleMania season you're telling me you're not going to
Give John cena the biggest proper send off and let
(02:11:12):
him go To WrestleMania like.
Speaker 4 (02:11:15):
One would wonder that considering this just a sheer star.
Power then he, brings, yeah can you imagine how many
tickets Of WrestleMania you would? Sell meaning that that Was
John cena's final.
Speaker 2 (02:11:30):
Match it almost feels like a triple H Paul lovak
ego because you just think about how he essentially did
The rock when The rock was trying to hey, man
this kind of sucks a little. Bit here's how we
can make this. Better and Then Paul lvec wants, to you,
(02:11:54):
know shit on The. Rock, ESSENTIALLY i still remember that
skating promo he put out to which The rocks is. Basic,
okay Well i'm back off, then and then.
Speaker 3 (02:12:05):
Oh, YEAH i remember.
Speaker 2 (02:12:06):
Yeah and then you've got the fact That John cena's, like,
YO i want to go at it. Hard i'm available
to do two hundred and twenty something. Dates, yeah we
only need you for thirty five thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:12:17):
Six, okay so then match that and double.
Speaker 4 (02:12:21):
Down oh, WELL i don't, care you, know if you
throw them at, Me i'll work.
Speaker 3 (02:12:27):
Them literally what he said?
Speaker 2 (02:12:31):
Podcast what did he?
Speaker 3 (02:12:32):
Say you throw it at?
Speaker 4 (02:12:34):
Me i'll work, them meaning the Brock lesner, thing and
they kept trying to spend it That.
Speaker 3 (02:12:41):
John zena wanted that match.
Speaker 2 (02:12:43):
Win in, fact he didn't give two shits either, way,
right he was just just tell me What i'm, doing, Right,
YEAH i don't. Know it just it just there's something
really bugging me about the. Way it just seems like
there's a lot of ego that's that's at, play and
just there really is not a proper. Foresight i've said
(02:13:05):
it time and time, again AND i will say it
by saying this put the controversy to the. Side in
regards To vince, McMahon i promise You vince McMahon would
have Booked John's seen up first of, all he would
have Taken John cena up on those two hundred and twenty. Dates,
yes and he would have built a really damn good
(02:13:27):
proper send. Off you.
Speaker 4 (02:13:30):
CAN'T i, mean you can build a, storyline but not
the strong one that you want to.
Speaker 3 (02:13:40):
Build, yeah well for thirty six.
Speaker 4 (02:13:43):
Dates, yeah even if it was showing up on some
of the, episodes is just mean mugging the, opponent, yeah or,
something you, know to remind the people about the. Story
not only that can you imagine how many more, tickets
(02:14:04):
say what.
Speaker 3 (02:14:04):
Is sold for any event That John cena was.
Speaker 2 (02:14:09):
On it really just makes you. WONDER i don't, know
it really just makes you. WONDER i THINK i might
put out poll and and asks folks with what they
make of that. WHOLE i think it, should you, know
because it just it just really it's. Baffling it's really.
Baffling she's a beautiful and a Lovely. Tammy Lee sanders
wishing all of y'all to be, safe holds a point
