Speaker 4 (12:09):
Come let us rip that into the power courses feet.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
You don't want to be caught here during intermission the stone.

Speaker 11 (12:18):
Oh that's a little taste of fantasy from the producers.
I don't know how many of you studied history and
how many of you realized that Charles Lindbergh, Lucky Lindy
who flew the first transatlantic solo flight in the spirit
of Saint Louis, was a supporter of the German Nazi

(12:42):
Party in the nineteen thirties, and Lindbergh, with his great
reputation and the love that Americans had built up for him,
not only for his fantastic flying feet, but for the
loss of his infant child to a famous kidnapping. At

(13:03):
the time, believed that white people were the master race,
and there were German booned meetings in New York City
at Madison Square Garden in support of Hitler and fascism

(13:26):
white supremacy in New York City during the nineteen thirties.
America's entry into the war on December seventh, nineteen forty one,
when those same fascists attacked us at Pearl Harbor, that is,
the Japanese fascists under the Emperor and Tojo, that put

(13:51):
an end pretty much to the American Nazi Party. Well,
ladies and gents, they're back. They're back with a vengeance,
and this time they're not pushing Adolf Hitler. They're pushing

(14:14):
aid Off Trump. Donald Trump is the biggest liar and
deceiver since Satan himself and Adolf Hitler. You wonder how
Addolf Hitler got power in Germany. Remember he escape goaded

(14:36):
the Jews because of the bad treatment that we have
given Germany in the Treaty of Versailles, where we made
the Germans pay reparations instead of rebuilding their country. They
went into a complete financial depression. One day it took
one hundred dollars to buy a loaf of bread. The

(14:59):
next day would take one thousand dollars to buy a
loaf of bread. Eventually it came to where you had
to have a suitcase full of worthless deutsch marks to
buy a loaf of bread. The money, they just printed
it and printed it and printed it, much like Trump
wants the Federal Reserve to do, until it became worthless.

(15:24):
The German people were suffering financially. They wondered, why why
did this happen? We never had a war on our soil.
Why are we now in this condition? Who's put us here? Along?
Came made Off Hitler, out of Munich, out of Bavaria
and convinced these good Christian people that their enemy was

(15:50):
the Jew because the Jew loaned money. Therefore, the Jews
had all the money, and they didn't never mind the
fact that they could look around them and see that
the Jews were suffering also from the depression and inflation,

(16:13):
but they needed somebody to blame. Hitler's scape goaded the Jews,
and he convinced the good Christian people of Germany, Catholics Protestants,
that the root of their problem was get rid of
these Jews and Germany will improve, and I, by the way,

(16:39):
I will give you jobs. So they elected him. Hitler
didn't seize power, he was elected to power. He seized
power once he got into the and burnt the Reichstag,

(17:02):
which was the capital of Germany, blaming it on the Jews,
quickly followed by Krystelnacht, the night that his bullies in
brown shirts, maybe the January sixth defendants that Trump pardoned,
went out and terrorized Jews all over Germany and painted

(17:23):
their storefronts with swastikas and stars of David and saying
this is a Jewish own place now, forcing the Jews
to wear a Star of David wherever they went. Sound familiar,
Sound like pointing out the immigrants in Americans saying they're

(17:44):
responsible for your problems? Really are they?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Murderers?

Speaker 11 (17:51):
Are they rapists. Donald, You mean to tell me that
the man and the woman who cleaned my pool are
murderers and rapists just because their ancestry is Mexican. Mean
to tell me that the guy who clears my yard
every week is a murderer because he's from Mexico. Hardly,

(18:19):
they're good, hardworking people. But the liar, Donald Trump, like
the liar out of Hitler and his enabler Himmler, which
would be Steve Bannon, the main propagandist, the liar, the
con man. I've managed to deceive people that their real

(18:47):
enemy is not Donald Trump, but the real enemy is
the foreigner, the other, the person they don't know. So
they put this together in a document, and we were
warned about this before the election, but frankly, the document

(19:10):
is tough going. It's hundreds of pages long. It's called
the Mandate for Leadership. It's from the Heritage Foundation, which
I think the Heritage Foundation ought to be investigated by
the House on American Activities Committee because they are responsible
for everything that Donald Trump has done. For those of

(19:34):
you who like a little light reading of hundreds of pages,
I refer you to the Mandate for Leadership by the
Heritage Society. It can be found everywhere online. Let's take
a look at some sections of it to see what happens.
Let's see what they want to do with the Department

(19:59):
of Home Land Security. According from Project twenty twenty five,
they recommend that US Customs and Border Patrol be combined
with immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE that has happened. By

(20:20):
the way, Donald Trump said, oh gee, I never heard
of Project twenty twenty five. What is that? Yet they
were backing him all the time. I don't doubt he
hasn't read it. He has a loathsome fear of reading something.
But he certainly knew what these plans were, and he

(20:44):
certainly intended to try and take over the United States
with this. So everything in this Project twenty twenty five
is thinks that Donald Trump has done funny for somebody
who never heard of it, but so closely to it. Now,
does that sound truthful to you? Or does that sound

(21:05):
like the big lie? He says A Cybersecurity and Infrastructure
This is page one thirty three of the Mandate for Leadership.
By the way, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency ISSA
be moved to the Department of Transportation, that's happened, that

(21:30):
FEMA be moved to the Department of the Interior, or,
if combined with CEAZA, to the Department of Transportation, the
US Coast Guard be moved to the DOJ, and in
time of full scale war threatening the homeland a Department
of Defense. The Secret Service be divided in two, with

(21:53):
the protective element moved to DOJ and the financial enforcement
moved to Department of Treasury. The Transportation Security Administration be privatized.
All of these things they're working on. Let's have a

(22:15):
look at the Department of State from the twenty twenty
five Mandate for Leadership MISSUS, page one hundred and seventy one.

(22:38):
There are scores of fine diplomats who serve the president's agenda,
often helping to shape and interpret that agenda at the
same time. However, in all administrations, there's a tug of
war between president and bureaucracies, and that resistance is much
starker under conservative presidents, due largely to the fact that
large swaths of the State Department's workforce are left wing

(23:04):
and predisposed to disagree with the conservative president's policy and vision. Really,
how do they reach that conclusion? There's no evidence of that.
There's no evidence that large swaths's the State Department's workforce
are left wing and predisposed to disagree with the conservative president.

(23:30):
They follow the president's directions, but their mandate goes on
to say it should not and cannot be this way.
Can't have those lefties in there. The American people need
and deserve a diplomatic machine fully focused on the national interest,
as defined through the election of a president who sets

(23:53):
the domestic and international agenda for the nation. In other words,
forget the State Department. We don't need no diplomats. We
don't need people out there trying to make peace. We
don't need professionals doing international arms agreements. No, leave it

(24:14):
to the amateurs. Let the president make a deal. Let
him make a deal. It's outrageous, this Project twenty twenty five.
We knew it was coming, But what kind of a

(24:37):
message was that for the election? Quite frankly, with Missus
Harris running, Oh watch out for Project twenty twenty five,
that really didn't resonate with most Americans. Most Americans were
oblivious to it even if they heard about it. Who's
going to go read a nine hundred and twenty age report.

(25:06):
No frankly, we mishandled that this last election we could
even should have won it. But they told us right
up front what they were going to do. We closed
our eyes, didn't show up at the polls, decided, oh well,

(25:31):
they're both evil parties. Ge, I'm not going to vote
for Harris because she was selected. There wasn't a convention. Ge,
I'm not gonna show up to fight Donald Trump. He's
not so bad. He was telling us he's going to

(25:56):
be a dictator on day one. Well, it continues to
be a dictator, or try to be. But you know, California,
I think has was it thirty one or thirteen separate
lawsuits against Donald Trump in California fort who was trying
to do and our Secretary of State Rob Bonta has

(26:27):
won most of them. Most of what Trump is trying
to do is unconstitutional and illegal. The problem is he
has a Supreme Court as enablers. We have three individuals
who were nominated from the religious right who were on

(26:50):
the Supreme Court, who lied or hid the truth during
their testimony to get on the Supreme Court. When they
were at What's your attitude towards Roe v. Wade, they
took the coward's way out. They said, well, I respect precedent,
and then they overturned Roe v.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Wade.

Speaker 11 (27:14):
What kind of respect for precedent was that there was
another decision they could have made in Dobbs that would
have upheld a woman's right to choose, but they didn't.
They overruled completely Roe v. Wade and send it to

(27:35):
the states. And now the states not only are trying
to ban abortion, they're trying to ban contraceptives. Some states
are trying to ban the Morning After pill. The federal
government may tried to do it too, by banning its
sale through the mails under the Comstock Act. These Nazis

(28:06):
are taking away our rights one by one and it's disgusting.
So what's going on here? Let's take a call. We

(28:26):
have a call here. Who do we have online?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
One?

Speaker 11 (28:32):
The Call of your Life, The Color of your Life?
Go ahead, what's on your mind tonight? Caller?

Speaker 15 (28:39):
Hi, This is Angela Wilkinson.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Man.

Speaker 15 (28:44):
What's on my mind is this is just unbelievable what's
going on in the world right now with these immigrations
and deplication. I just saw a movie called God and Country,
you know, a documentary movie that was sent in twenty

(29:06):
twenty four. That was rated rated PG thirteen and it
took the a look at the implication of a Christian
nationalized nationalism and how it distorted not only the constitutional
republic but Christian ad on Christian energy. So when you

(29:30):
when I watched that movie, it was just watching a nightmare.
When they stormed the capital and they were carrying a
Christian flag and a photograph of Jesus Christ and they
stormed the stent at four, I was thinking, wait a second,

(29:52):
aren't they supposed to be the ones that patriotism proud
of America? And they did this. I mean, I want
people to call in and actually give their opinion on
the insurrection. So what they did and destroy? To me,
they destroy the constitution, They sat on it when they

(30:14):
did that.

Speaker 11 (30:15):
Angela. I've just had an opportunity to look up the
movie God and Country and that is streaming free on
Zoomo Play, Pluto TV, Amazon Prime YouTube. Oh YouTube is
charging from three ninety nine. You don't have to go there.
Two B it's free, Plex, it's free, Apple TV, it's

(30:41):
from ninety nine cents and from fan Diego for three
ninety nine. So there's plenty of free spaces where you
can go out and you can see this twenty twenty
four documentary God and Country, which primarily I saw it,
and it's about the rise of white Christian nationalism. They

(31:04):
want to call themselves Christian nationalists, but in fact they're
white Christian nationalists. Uh. Well, Angela, what did you learn
most in that movie that, uh that concerns you about
white Christian nationalism.

Speaker 15 (31:21):
Well, it's it concerns me that when they did that
documentary movie and they and they talked about Christianity and
Christian being a Christian nationalism specialism that you know, it
could be twisted into uh like you know what the

(31:41):
presacy and you know it's not practice being a Christian.
Sure it stems, it stems over into our our voting rights.
That just like, uh, I over heard that TEXTA wants
to read district know for the mid terms. I mean,

(32:02):
isn't that cheating?

Speaker 14 (32:04):
Basically, I'd call it cheating.

Speaker 15 (32:09):
I think. All right, so now of who you are,
I mean, the Hispanics right now are being attacked and
now African Americans are being stopped and you know put
the description. I mean it's all over Instagram and Facebook.
I mean, I don't understand why people aren't usset about

(32:30):
all this and to throw that into religion. You know,
don't you think God himself is looking down at us
about this is all happening to His creation, his children
that's supposed to be helping each other.

Speaker 11 (32:49):
I think they they have a different concept of Jesus
than my church does. Let me get let me give
a little bit of history here about this white Christian
nationalist movement. They call themselves Christian nationalists, but by and large,
ninety nine percent plus they are white, so they are

(33:12):
white nationalists. They have their beginnings really out here in
California in what was known as the John Birch Society,
which was a very conservative group of people located primarily
in Orange County, California, and their agenda right from the

(33:39):
very beginning was racist. One of their first slogans was
impeach Earl Warren. Now Earl Warren was the chief Justice
of the Supreme Court who wrote the decision in Brown
versus Board of Education which required in all public schools.

(34:03):
That's why they wanted to get rid of or A.
Warren and this conservative organization founded by the I believe
the father of the Koch Brothers railed and railed against

(34:23):
what it considered to be liberal politics from about the
early nineteen fifties, and that movement grew and grew. They
finally supported Barry Goldwater against Lyndon B. Johnson, and I

(34:45):
think that was the nineteen sixty Yeah, that was a
sixty four election, right after President Kennedy had been assassinated.
And if you remember, Barry Goldwater's motto, or a campaign motto,
was in your heart, you know he's right. And Barry

(35:07):
Goldwater had threatened to drop an adam bomb on our enemies.
That's how we were going to solve the world problems.
So the Democrats seized on that statement and they put
out a wonderful ad that basically said, yeah, in your heart,
you know he's right, far right, and they showed the

(35:32):
atomic bomb, showed his solution of an atom bomb dropping
on an innocent country, and Barry Goldwater lost in a
landslide to Lyndham B. Johnson, who then came in and
brought the New Society, tried to get us well he did.
He got us better health care, all these things that

(35:55):
the conservatives hated because they didn't think governments should be
doing that, shouldn't be given healthcare to people at any rate.
The John Birt Society sort of at some point morphed
into this Heritage Foundation and this study that really was

(36:19):
founded by one of the guys from Coorr's Beer, remember
Corer's Beer and the boycott Cours because Courrs was anti union.
But its owner decided, well, you know what, I've got
a fresh product here, and I can advertise this and

(36:39):
I can sell it anywhere, and they do, you know,
a curse, not a bad beer. I grew up drinking it,
especially when it was twenty five cents of glass. Those
days are long gone. At any rate, I'm dating myself.
Between him and the other two founders of the Heritage Foundation,

(37:01):
they kept up this steady drum beat, and their high
point came when Brown v. Board of Education integrated the
schools in Mississippi. You remember the little black kids walking

(37:24):
to their first day of school in high school in
Mississippi and the white kids standing out there calling them
the N word, telling them they're going to die, telling
them two four six eight, we ain't going to integrate.
And they asked, in fact, I think you'll see it

(37:45):
in the film God and Country. They asked the one
girl well, what are you going to do for an
education if you're not going to go to school with blacks.
They said, we got our private schools, and that was
the right wing solution to integration private schools. Let's have

(38:08):
a private school where we don't have to admit blacks
because brown v. Board of Education doesn't reach a private school,
only public education. So you go down to Mississippi today
and you look at these charter academies and they're all white.

(38:29):
You go around California and look at some of these
charter schools in the churches, they're all white. It was
only later that these groups seized upon the common ground
because how popular is it to say we're segregationists, we

(38:52):
hate blacks, we hate everybody that's not white. So we
want to go to school by ourselves. That's not a
way to get elected. But the way they got elected
is they went around and then they started to raise
abortion as their issue. They said, oh, the left is
killing all these helpless babies, and the Bible is against abortion. Well,

(39:19):
you know, I went to parochial school for a number
of years, and I've read the Bible. I can't say
I've read every word of it, but I don't see
one single passage in there where it speaks against abortion.
The Bible is simply silent on the subject. And if
you read the original Roe v. Wade, Roe v. Wade,

(39:45):
and Justice Blackman goes into the history of abortion and
he says, and the Supreme Court entirely agreed with him,
it is not prohibited in Christianity. But these Christians, he's
white nationalists, have been convinced that murdering babies, murdering life

(40:08):
after conception, is somehow an egregious sin, and they've got
to stop it. So they've seized upon abortion, and that's
why they march on abortion clinics, and that's why they've
shut down Planned Parenthood. And these are the egregious things

(40:30):
that are going on for the right wing now. They're
all they're almost entirely white. In these churches. They believe
in a macho Jesus, in a Jesus that's aggressive, in
the Jesus that's warlike, in the Jesus that's willing to
kill other people. You know, in my reading of the

(40:53):
Bible and at my church, Jesus Christ was the Prince
of peace. Jesus Christ brought us the message of peace
goodwill among men. Jesus Christ taught us you know, you
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

(41:14):
Jesus is not aggressive. Jesus is not what they make
it out to be. They have perverted Christ into minds
of these people, and they've got them all stirred up
in their religion believing that somehow Christianity is under attack
in America. I'd like to know where. I'd like to

(41:39):
know where in America that Christians are being attacked. It
just doesn't exist. If anybody out there can tell me,
you know, I see Muslims being attacked. I see Jews
being attacked. I see Sikhs with their turbanes being mistakenly

(42:04):
attacked by the right wing. I don't see Christians being attacked.
Yet they've got their people convinced that that's what's going on. Angela.
I want to thank you for your call and your
contribution tonight, and uh let's let's keep up the good
work and and get the word out there. Thank you

(42:25):
so much for calling.

Speaker 15 (42:27):
You're we.

Speaker 11 (42:29):
Okay. We've had a look at the look at the
Christian nationalist movement and we talked about how they've evolved
from a segregationist group into the churches. This is the
same thing that Adolf Hitler did in Germany during World

(42:50):
War Two. He co opted the German Church, the good
Christian people of Germany, in Catholics, Protestants. He got them
to hate the Jews and blame the Jews. And by
the way, the main scholar, for I believe it was

(43:17):
the Lutheran Church at the time, had written volumes and
volumes on scholarship of the Bible went along with these
perverted ideas, so.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
That what happened.

Speaker 11 (43:35):
That's what happened in the German Church. And I've been
up to Bavaria. I've been the little cities up there
that's still where some of the elders still revere Hitler
because they were in the Hitler youth and they never
got over it, even though they were in Berlin at
the time of the destruction of Berlin. So there's danger

(44:00):
out there. I urge you people to take a look
at this film God and Country that's streaming all over
the place. We've got another caller online too, Eric, who
do we have waiting it online too?

Speaker 1 (44:14):
Please call you.

Speaker 11 (44:16):
Yuh call he line two. What's on your mind tonight.

Speaker 16 (44:23):
Is that me.

Speaker 11 (44:24):
That's you.

Speaker 16 (44:25):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 11 (44:26):
What's on your mind tonight?

Speaker 16 (44:29):
So I'd like to say that two things. Actually, the
lie about abortion is being spotlighted and the sanctity of
life is basically a joke about what is happening in Gaza,
Ukraine and even in America by withholding medical care for

(44:52):
the poor. That it's a lie. They're saying they have
sanctity for life. But it's a lie. I don't care,
or else this wouldn't be going on. I don't want
what to do about it.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
Well, overwhelmed.

Speaker 16 (45:09):
By what Matt is doing, by the destruction and death
they're causing. So how can I, one person, do anything
to help besides voting?

Speaker 11 (45:21):
Well, I think you're absolutely right. You know that these
distortions are disturbing. They're they're not against the death penalty,
yet they're against abortion. That's really an inconsistent position. Uh,
you know, what can what can an individual do? I

(45:41):
have a few suggestions. You know, first, comradeship and like
minded people are important, So find and join your local
democratic club. They're probably online or in the phone book. No,
they don't make phone books anymore, do they. I'm dating
myself again, But join your local democratic club. Being with

(46:04):
like minded, good people is good for your morale in
this fight, and at least you'll have a group that
you can go do and be sympathetic with and take
some action. Another thing you might be able to do
is contribute your time or your money if you have
the money, but if not, contribute your time to that

(46:28):
club's efforts to defeat MAGA and white nationalists in twenty
twenty six. Do what you can. Get involved, get on
a committee, help get out the vote. You might want
to take a look at the twenty twenty five action
plan so you're familiar with it and you can see

(46:50):
exactly what it is that these folks plan to do.
If you're a religious person, start a respectful dialogue with
people in your church who might be MAGA voters. Ask
them questions. Don't argue with them, say ask them where

(47:17):
is Christianity exactly under attack? You know, test their knowledge?
Ask them you know what was Jesus' message? I thought
Jesus brought a message of peace on earth, not violence.

(47:37):
Didn't Christ say love thy neighbor? And when the apostle
asked him, who is my neighbor? He told the story
of the good Samaritan. The Samaritans were the sworn enemies
of the Jews. Yet this Samaritan found a wounded Jew

(47:58):
who had been set upon on the road by bandits,
and he took him up, and he bound up his wounds,
and he carried him into town, and he fed him,
and he cared for him, and he clothed him. That's
your neighbor, Your enemy is your neighbor. That's what Christ

(48:18):
taught not to kill. Christ also said, go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Well, who
did he expect to find in those other nations more Jews?

(48:40):
Not hardly. He expected to find all kinds of people,
all colors of people. At the time of Christ, they
knew very well about the Nubians. They knew very well
about the other races. And Christ told them go out
there and baptize them, bring them into the church. Which

(49:02):
ask them, didn't Christ say, beware of false prophets. And
yet here's these people now in our church that are
claiming to be prophets. Really, Christ is the only prophet
in our religion. Christ said, you shall know the truth,

(49:27):
and the truth will make you free. This idea that
somehow Donald Trump is anointed by God is disgusting. It's
the same thing that Hitler pulled. Trump is not anointed

(49:51):
by God. He is the devil himself. He is the
one that Q is talking about. He is the great liar,
the great Satan.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
You know.

Speaker 11 (50:09):
The Bible also says be sober. And I remember, and
I remember back in Lutheran school boy being lectured by
our religion professor about this, as he shook his finger
in our hands, in our face, and spoke almost in
nineteenth century language, and he said, be sober, be vigilant,

(50:33):
for the devil goeth about as a roaring lion, seeking
whom he may devour. So those are some of my
suggestions for you. Get involved, contribute your time, read this

(50:54):
project twenty twenty five. Talk to the people at your church.
You know. So there's a lot of people too who
are members of minority groups. Yet they believe that Donald
Trump is great because they're they're thriving. Quite frankly, not

(51:15):
to put them down, but what Donald Trump said, he
loves the undereducated. And when you have somebody who's undereducated,
like the fox, newsviewer who's only focused on Fox News
and only gets their stilted version of the truth. You

(51:40):
have Roger Ales saying at the time, my demographic is
sixty five until dead, and I'm gonna make Grandpa a Nazi.
And that's what Roger Ale's and Rupert Murdoch did with

(52:00):
Fox News. There are worse versions of it. There's one
American network and some other out there that are just
they almost sound like Russia today. And they they constantly
tell these lies to these people, or these half truths.

(52:22):
They don't tell them about the huge judgment of multimillions
of dollars that they had to pay to dominion voting
machines because they lied and said that the dominion voting
machines had been hacked and stolen the election from Donald Trump.
Then when they had to pay many, many millions, I

(52:45):
forget how many, there was barely a mention of it
on Fox News, not a retraction ever, not a oh gee,
we lied blatantly to you. We had zero evidence, just
like the dozens of judges who found zero evidence of

(53:09):
any wrongdoing in the election. Trump appointed judges, Biden appointed judges,
Johnson appointed judges, Clinton appointed judges, They all unanimously found
no wrong doing in the election. No votes by illegal

(53:34):
aliens to any any significant extent that is so rare
in his country is to be nonexistent. When I was
a practicing attorney, I saw one case of it in
forty two years, and that individual had been lied to
and told that he could vote as long as he

(53:56):
was in the country, so he registered to vote. He
never did vote, but he was registered. The person that
should have been prosecuted was the person who signed him
up to vote, but I didn't see that happening. At
any rate. I won't tell any more war stories from

(54:17):
my legal career. We're in trouble in this country, ladies
and gentlemen, and we've got to do something about it.
We've got to organize. It's not going to be cheap.
You're going to have to give you time. If you
want to save this country from fascism, from white nationalism,

(54:41):
from Project twenty twenty five, you're going to have to
get involved. And it's going to be expensive. This broadcast
costs money. You can sponsor this broadcast. Hint, hint, every

(55:04):
little bit counts down here. We'll give you a great
spot like we have to the Democratic Luncheon Club of
sam Bernardino, which meets every Friday at noon or twelve
fifteen at the one Poyo Restaurant at fifth in Mount
Vernon and San Bernardino and presents a different speaker each week.

(55:24):
This week they're having Treasure Ortiz from the City of
sam Bernardino, who's a city council woman. Next week we're
having Mayor Helen Tran, who's the mayor of the City
of sam Bernardino. We're having various candidates for local office.

(55:46):
And the Democratic Luncheon Club is focused upon winning a
victory in the midterms, not only in local elections and
electing local Democrats, but the Democratic Luncheon Club is focused
on pon copying a couple of congressional seats. Oh and
let me talk a little bit about what's going to

(56:09):
happen with redistricting now. The Texans are threatening to have
a special session to redistrict and jerrymanned to Texas to
get five more Republican congressional votes. What's going to happen
with that? Well, interestingly enough, they need a quorum in

(56:29):
Texas in their legislature in order to do that, and
the Democrats are threatening to walk out and kill the quorum,
So maybe it will never happen. On the other hand,
I believe it was Texas if I'm not mistaken. The
last time the Democrats walked out, the Republicans issued warrants
for them. I don't know if in Texas they can

(56:52):
drag you back to the legislature and make you sit
there while everybody votes, but apparently they can. So what's
going to happen if Texas redistricts and gains five more
Republican votes because of sheer political pressure. Well, our Governor

(57:14):
Gavin Newsom has vowed to fight fire with fire. We've
long had a peace in California where we have fair redistricting.
We have bipartisan committees. I can't get on one because
I'm a political animal, but anybody who's not political can

(57:37):
get on these committees and form new districts. And these
districts are fairly drawn. They include communities of interest, and
California does very well with it, and it's fair and
it's impartial to everybody. If you come in with a

(57:57):
good idea, you're going to get elected. And that's why
the Democrats are now ruling California because we have the
superior ideas, So we would have to overturn the state
law on redistricting commissions and have the legislature vote in

(58:18):
a one time jerrymandering scheme, and we'll do the same
as Texas did, and we'll make it impossible for some
of their legislators to be elected. The Supreme Court's already
said they're not going to get involved in local redistricting.

(58:39):
Well that cuts both ways. If they're not going to
do it to the Republicans, they're not going to do
it to us unless it's blatantly unconstitutionally unfair, like the
Supreme Court has told a couple of states that are
still trying to get around the Supreme Court rules. If
we have to fight fire with dirty, it looks like

(59:01):
California is ready to do so. So we've got a
big fight coming up here. Perhaps it won't just be
a tempest in the teapot and Texas will not have
a quorum and it will never happen. So this is
Alan Bartleman and the Reformer radio show. Thank you for

(59:21):
being with me, Keep the faith, Resist, never back down.

Speaker 10 (59:29):
Yugus Dan at the Gates of Malva, back down ground.

Speaker 9 (59:41):
We'll be.
