more But i'm going to save that for the next
segment Because i've got some thoughts on THE Nfl draft
and just the evolution of THE Nfl draft and where
it is today relative to what it used to, be
and how we didn't even blink an eye about THE

Nfl draft twenty years. Ago this was not something that
you really focused. On but in today's world twenty twenty,
five oh, yeah you better believe we're making sure that
we understand what's going on with THE Nfl, draft because
it's the season of, hope or the beginning of that
season of hope for so many, franchises so many, coaches

so many general, managers and obviously so many. Fans BUT
i do want to talk SOME nba playoff, action AND
i know we're going to talk some GREAT nba stuff
tomorrow With Jason, temp host Of Hoops, tonight and we'll
be able to break it down in much more granular
type of. Details some of the x's and o's why
some of these matchups are where they are right, now

and really get an idea of moving forward what we
can start doing in terms of making some conclusions versus
our observations early. On AND i think that's one of
the key things because when we've Had jason on, before
and we've talked about this, before THAT nba playoff, action
it's not necessarily about.

they have some other role, players but when you're looking

NOW i remember The Detroit pistons way back in the,

several years past, that you've got The Ben wallace air
there with The Detroit pistons and winning a national, CHAMPIONSHIP i,
mean excuse, me A nba championship With Rip hamilton, also

With Kate cunningham and get a big time victory to

the most intriguing matchup because it's two, stars The joker

and they could easily be sitting in the driver's seat

leonard thirty nine points last night and showcasing what we
remember About Kawhi. Leonard he had thirty nine points on
nineteen field goal attempts and five free throw attempts last,
night shooting what we call a true shooting percentage of

ninety two. Percent and that's the ninth time that he
has scored thirty or more points on eighty point eighty
percent or better on true shooting percentage in a playoff.
Game and that's more than any other player IN nba.
History but a lot of times we forget About Kawhi
leonard because of the injuries and how he has not

been able to play a full. Season and that was
a big time victory for THE La clippers And Kawhi
leonard and could this be a somewhat of a pathway
For kawhi to cement his. Legacy he's won AN nba.
Championship we know that he was able to do that
with The Toronto, raptors a team that nobody thought would

able to carry that. Team so can he carry THE La?
Clippers and so speaking of, that there is something interesting
THAT i Read Brian WINHORST espn talked about players that
winning AN nba championship would cement their, legacy and it

also made me start, thinking you know what makes a.
Legend and we've talked about this several times when especially
you look at it from a football, standpoint it's the Super,
Bowl it's the playoff. Runs it's the postseason and great regular. Seasons,
yes they can make you a, star they can make you,

rich but playoff, runs that's what makes you a. Legacy
that's what makes you the elite of the. Elite that
what makes you. Immortal that's what you have to have
if you want to be considered for a. Goat Charles,
barklay he's still haunted by No. Ring Kevin garnett went

from first round exits to A boston legend just with one,
championship And Jerry west the logo rest in peace eight
final losses before he became the logo winning a. Championship
and Pat, RILEY i think said it best, quote there's

have to understand that the difference between, winning and especially
when you're talking about winning at the postseason, level winning,
championships that's where you can cement your. Legacy and SO

playoffs there's several players THAT i do believe that can
create their legacy or cement their. Legacy And i'm going
to start With New York Jalen. Brunson he is the
heartbeat Of New york right. Now he's a fearless type of,
leader and he's already a hero In New. York he's

the First nick since the nineteen sixties to average twenty
five points five assists and back to back, Seasons he's
led The knicks to back to back fifty wins seasons
and that's the first time since Pat riley was the
head coach of The. Knicks back in the. Nineties but
here's the issue right now With Jalen. Brunson The, knicks

we know haven't won a title since nineteen seventy, three
And Jalen brunson's record against elite level teams Like, cleveland Like,
boston LIKE, okc out in The. West you start raising
your eyebrows because his record against those. Teams oh and.

Ten you can't create that type of. Legacy you don't
want that type of. Legacy oh and. Ten now this
guy is clutched though twenty eight points per game in the,
postseason but The knicks are two and two in playoff
series with him at the.

Offseason The knicks made all types of trades this past
summer and they want a conference finals run or even

East how about this? One is This cleveland's missing? Piece
Mister Donovan mitchell has been a regular season beast for The.
Cavaliers he's led them to a sixty percent winning percentage
over the past five, seasons including sixty four wins for

Appearances but, also here's the other problem With Donovan, mitchell
very similar to what we saw With Jalen. Brunson Donovan

of it had to do With Donovan mitchell missing two.
Games but to be a franchise, cornerstone you've got to
be healthy and you've also you've got to be able
to get your team.

harden can take it to the. Rim but his little
left handed floaters still is so hard to defend. It
and then you have to respect his three point. Shooting,

like a team. Player and he's obviously taken some pr.
Hits but let's talk some of the. Facts James harden
has made the playoffs every single year of his sixteen season.
Career that's one hundred and twenty five playoff. Games he's

an eleven Time All, star AN mvp in twenty, eighteen
and he still dropped thirty two points In game one
of that.

first round. Exit guess, what that's not what MVPs. Do
they don't let their team exit in the first, round
winning your number one. Seed his playoff stats are solid

that point where he's starting to prove himself that, phase

you imagine the legacy that he would cement winning AN

i wanted to look at how we got to this
point with THE Nfl draft because it is taking on
a life of its own over the, past from my,
perspective past five, years but you could even go back
maybe the past ten years when THE nfl decided to

try to do something a little bit. Different now this
has gone from just a sleepy type of, entity something
that we didn't even really take into full. CONSIDERATION i
remember talking With Levon, kirkland Former Pittsburgh, steeler all time,
great Former clemson, linebacker and he talked about that he

was finishing up his exams and driving home when he
got by the time he got home that he found
out that he was drafted by The Pittsburgh. Steelers so
this is not something that a lot of times that
it has been a true focal point in terms of
how much attention that it's been. Getting, oh it has

changed over the years and fans they don't seem to
be able to get enough of THE Nfl draft right,
Now and you have to take a look at it
that now that fans realize what this, is it is
completely different than what it was back in nineteen thirty
six when the draft, started just a bunch of team

execs in a hotel ballroom there at The Ritz carlton In,
philly just writing names on a piece of paper and
that was. It then you fast forward to the nineteen
eighties AND espn starts, televising and suddenly it's got a
little bit of a poult because REMEMBER, espn they wanted,
content any type of sports.

It by the two, thousands it's At Radio City Music,
hall and then you get the mel kiper juniors yelling
about offensive tackles and the crowd going, Crazy jets fans

i think is.

last year and now Green.

States that's how big this. Is and now we're even
seeing the president of The, Lions Rod, wood talking about
there's no way That Green bay is going to be

love the, competitiveness and the pettiness and the rivalry that
go on when you've Got detroit and Green. Bay so
now there's reports that there could be almost three hundred
thousand people descending on the title. Town And i'm telling

you this is an experience because it's more than just The,
draft and THE nfl has done a great job turning
it into fan. Experience it's not just about watching your
team what pick they might, make but there's so much.
More you've got the draft. Experience you've got free football
festival open to. Everybody you can run the forty yard,
dash you can kick a field, goal you can test

your reflexes at A gatorade, booth you can get a
picture with The Vince Lombardi. Trophy there's all types of
things for the, fans and at the end of the,
day that's what the fans want because it has turned
into entertainment and that draws the. Fans but there's also something,
else and this is what we've talked. About one of

the things that WHY i think fans love this so.
