Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, I am you happy people.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith and old Buck Buddy.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Neil?

Speaker 4 (00:09):
I miss you, man, I have a question respect for me?

Speaker 5 (00:13):
Down breaking a major story, Chris, Congratulations score podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I was looking at the Immediate Research Center coverage of
the Schumer shutdown, the Democrats Schumer shutdown, and it was
astonishing to see that the majority of the biased press,
they were actually covering this in such a way to
blame Republicans. The facts were playing a day. The Democrats
were the ones who voted fourteen times to keep the

(01:04):
government shut down. They kept the government shut down, the
longest full or partial shutdown in US history, and the
Democrats repeatedly said no, they weren't going to fund a
continuing resolution at Democrats spending levels to keep the government open.
It was the Democrats Schumer shutdown. But the press, in

(01:27):
their analysis and their coverage, basically skewed everything to where
it was. I think it was eighty three to seventeen,
eighty three percent positive for Democrats, seventeen percent positive for Trump.
It was just so overweighted. And remember, these are the
same leftists in the press who've been telling us for
decades that shutting down the government was irresponsible, and there

(01:49):
was a difference between a Democrats shutdown and a Republican shutdown.
Republican shutdown usually was in defense of the taxpayers. The
Democrats were shutting down government to rape the taxpayers, to
make them pay for benefits for illegal aliens, and to
continue to subsidize socialized medicine. Dick Durbin took to the

(02:10):
floor of the United States Senate folks and admitted the
Democrats were willing to starve children by denying government funding
starved children in an effort to win political battles like
the election of twenty twenty five electing a couple of
Communist China backed candidates, electing a Marxist in New York

(02:31):
and a Democrat Attorney general in Virginia who said he
wanted his political opponents and his political opponent's children dead.
Here is Dick Durbin. Listen to this.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Many of my friends are unhappy. They think we should
have kept our government closed indefinitely to protest the policies
of the Trump administration. I share their opinions of this administration,
but cannot accept a strategy which wages political battle at
the expense of my neighbor's paycheck or the food for
his children. Mister President, I yeo of the floor.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Wow, what end admission? They couldn't go on any longer.
All of the denied paychecks to government workers, the nations
airports spiraling out of control, forty two million people illegal
aliens and Americans alike without food that were stupid enough

(03:26):
to rely on the government for their food. Just insanity.
Now what have I mentioned? The Democrats have been saying
for years, through their agents and the press and themselves
that shutting the government down was irresponsible, that it was
a terrorist act. Scott Bessen, the Treasury Secretary, showed up

(03:47):
on ABC fake news and just handed George Snuffalopagus his lunch.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Listen, George, the best way to do it. And look,
you were involved in a lot of these in the nineties,
and you basically called the Republicans terrorist, and you know
you said that it is not the responsible party that
keeps the government closed. And so what we need is
five brave moderate Democratic senators to cross the aisle, because

(04:15):
right now it is fifty two to three, fifty two
to three, five Democrats can cross the aisle and reopen
the government. That's the best way to do it, George.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I can disagree with you about the history there, but
we don't have a history.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Lesson right now, let's talk about George, George.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Let's talk about what's happening.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Yeah, I asked all your questions here, I've got all
your and I'm sure you do.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
And let's talk about the situation.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Right your book, So you got one one purchase on
Amazon this week, and that's very much what you said.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
The one purchase of your loser crap book and TUTA,
that's what you said.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
It was abs amazing. Again, this is how you handle
leftists and the biased press who are trying to do
this kind of stuff, trying to push their narrative over news. Folks,
that the news operations in this country, mostly owned by
large conglomerates, have been screwing this public over for a
good many moons, and they are not giving up. Even

(05:21):
though President Trump has beaten them at their own game,
basically out shouting them, and a lot of Americans are
turning them off, They're still trying to get out there
and do their propaganda and again substitute narrative over actual
facts and news. I'm going to detail some of this
coming up, don't go anywhere on the Salcedo Storm podcast.

(05:42):
And now a word from our sponsor. My friends, did
Bidenomics in the left wing economy really rock your world?
Latin American medical plans relieve one burden health insurance. American
Medical Plan specializes in under sixty five health insurance plans
that have zero copays and no deductibles. You choose your doctors,
you choose your hospitals. These plans have nothing to do

(06:02):
with your income and are thirty to sixty percent less
than Obamacare. If Obamacare has your paying out the nose,
call American medical plans. Don't let these Marxists destroy one
sixth to the US economy and your access to healthcare
without a fight. You deserve better. You deserve American medical
plans the answer to the cancer that is Obamacare.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
We provide real news for real Texans.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Go to texascorecard dot com today. The good news is
that those who have been lying to us for so
many years in the biased press, they have lost their
exclusive exclusive grip on news and information. That their narrative
overnews push is gone because they don't have a monopoly anymore.
That being said, they're still doing some damage out there,

(09:34):
and there are efforts to rain in those who are
alternative voices. There are efforts out there to rein in
those who are trying to get out the truth so
that only propaganda survives. Left wing propaganda. And there's something
out there called NewsGuard and I want you all to
be aware of it. I'm going to bring in my

(09:55):
guest to help explain all of this. David dunmoyre is
the Associate advice President and of Campaigns at the Texas
Public Policy Foundation. His portfolio includes artificial intelligence, data privacy, cybersecurity,
critical infrastructure protection, national security and tech, and other emerging
technology issues.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
David, welcome, well, good morning, thank you for having me on.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
So let's let's start at square one. Tell the folks
what NewsGuard is.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
Yeah, so NewsGuard is one of these seemingly objective, denigne
fact checkers that tell viewers, hey, if you're accessing this
article here, is it factual? Is it skewed one direction
or the other? And what NewsGuard does is they leverage
different organizations that are pure to provide them credibility. Hey,
you know, they're verified by this independent source. And it

(10:45):
turns out you do digging into NewsGuard and it's really
like any other of these very left leaning political fact
checkers that are throttling in just as a base line,
calling outlets like the Federalists, Daily Wire and so on
as quackery without dealing any rigor or any analysis. And
so what will happen is unlike the expectation where users say, okay,

(11:05):
this outlet is reading the article and checking are these
claims true? Now, what news Guard does is it assumes
as a default that any content that comes from a
center right organization is going to be fraud. And they're
going to ensure in the case that we'll talk about
that even students in classrooms aren't able to access viewpoints

(11:25):
that are contrary to the leftist focused agenda.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Correct Now, folks, what NewsGuard also does on the business
side is it brings pressure on advertisers not to have
alternative points of view to the left wing orthodoxy that
is pushed by the biased press. If a Democrat burps,
they emit chimes and its gospel. But if a conservative

(11:48):
says something, it's automatically as as David was pointing out,
automatically dismissed as fake news. And by the way, NewsGuard
itself is fake news. So now they don't they don't
get this prowess and this ability to implement their agenda
without major backing. And they've had the backing, which, by

(12:10):
the way, because NewsGuard has been getting tattooed for being
a left wing propaganda arm for from many moons. Now,
they have been seeing some of their corporate sponsors distancing
themselves publicly, but behind the scenes, it looks like companies
like Microsoft are still very much in the NewsGuard orbit.

(12:33):
What have you found out?

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Yeah, that's one hundred percent correct. And if there's one
thing I want to highlight up from feer listeners, it's
follows the actual direction of these businesses. Microsoft. You know,
they're giving a million dollars to the Trump Ballroom, they
gave money to Trump's inauguration, and maybe some folks like, hey,
they're turning the corner. They're starting to embrace more conservative
view points. But as you rightly point out, it's what's

(12:56):
public that they're trying to convey as objective, but privately,
what they're doing is line to the American public. And
this new report that just dropped from the Fair Election
Fund highlights Microsoft came to Congress, they came before Senator
Ted Cruise, who was rightly apoplectic that they were partnering
with NewsGuard to throttle and silence conservative viewpoints. And Microsoft said, hey,

(13:18):
we're done, We're no longer partnering with them. That was
a business mishap and mistake. And this report reveals and
not only did Microsoft lie to Senator Cruise, lie to Congress,
why to the American public, But they're doubling down on
NewsGuard and other tools to again just viewpoint discriminate against conservatives.
And the thing at GGPF that we're really focused on

(13:39):
because we're all in on education, saving the account school choice,
giving parents control and transparency in their education. Well, what
happens is that Microsoft Education was used for education, will
partner with public schools across the state of Texas, across
the country, and embedded within the very technology that kids
are using is news Guard And so not only are

(14:00):
they lying, but they're making it more embedded in this
system to ensure they have these students indoctrinated as early
as second and third grade. And this is a slap
in the space to not just you know, parents across
the country of an Americans because they will kowtow and
do the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party, which we
can talk about while simultaneously lying to the American public

(14:22):
about the transparency of the products they're providing.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah, about the lying part my understanding, because there's James
Comey and John Brennan another a couple of communists, at
least according to reports out there, they are being either
referred to for criminal prosecution or under criminal prosecution for
lying to Congress. Is it somehow within the bounds of

(14:47):
the law for Microsoft to lie to Congress? And if
it's not, have you received any indication that Senator Ted
Cruse's office is going to follow up on Microsoft's testimony,
so that they have apparently, according to what you're telling me,
they have apparently lied to the Senator.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, to your point, everything that
I'm seeing, I'm reading right now and do as much
digging as I can. It's pretty evident that they've purjured themselves.
They've lied to the American public. And it wasn't just oh, hey,
you know, we will consider it was an outright we
are done, we are disconnecting. We are not going to
throttle conservative viewpoints. And so the facts as I see
them is they have directly and blatantly lied to the

(15:26):
American public under oath, and to the point of Senator
Cruz as smallow up, I can't speak personally to that.
I've been in contact with their office, and I think
certainly Senator Cruz never runs away from a fight, especially
when it comes to protecting free speech, which is the
bastion of what he can conduse to fight for. I'd
also add that a lot of this stems from a

(15:47):
recent Federal Trade Commission letter and notice to tech companies,
and this is chaired by Andrew Ferguson and for your listeners,
the FPC is essentially the enforcement body that ensures that
acceptive trade practices. So what we're talking about here lying
with your product or providing a service that is deceiving

(16:07):
the public or causing harm to consumer welfare. It set
letters to these tech companies noting that not only is
there is appearance of what they're doing publicly support conservative
viewpoints is in contrast to the private decisions to only
promote leftist ideology. They're simultaneously being influenced by foreign governments.

(16:28):
And when you look at the market of China and
you look at how much money Microsoft's other companies are making,
it's really not surprising when you bow the money to
see they are more willing to kowtown to government interests
in China than to be honest brokers in the United
States of America. So my hope is that it wakes
people up and they realize we can't just accept the

(16:50):
statement from these tech CEOs. We have to hold them
to account and ask for legislation or voluntary action to
be more transparent about what their business at activities actually
and tikto.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
That's a fair point, and it must happen. What we
call them big tech oligarchs have had their way with
the United States and with this indefference to commonist China
and our people, and it ought not passed. David Dunmo
Moyer is our guest right now, folks. He's the associated
vice president of Campaigns at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

(17:23):
So what are some of the other efforts that you
say Microsoft is partaking in to REDI to restrict speech
out there? You mentioned what's going on inside of Gov ed.
Are there any other avenues that they're pursuing.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Yeah, So one of my favorite representations of hypocracy is
that the Microsoft has this massive pack and again we've
been talking about how recently they're giving more money to
the White House Ballroom project and these other you know,
pr still serving goals for them. But way back when
they decided in twenty twenty, after the election was challenged

(17:59):
the one hundred four seven Republicans who challenge the electors,
the pack put an embargo on giving any money to
those Republicans in Congress, and it was a blanket statement,
we don't care if they're working in favor of different
projects that were supportive of We're not going to give
them a second look, they're completely person and on Grada.

(18:19):
But then you're rewind when Democrats have done this exact
same thing. Of course, they continue to give money to them,
and you look at you know, leadership all the way down.
I mean Bill Gates has given what was it fifty
million dollars to the pack supporting Kamala Harris. And then
you have the co founder and CEO of LinkedIn, Reed Hoffman,
and of course they're in the Microsoft ecosystem, who also

(18:43):
is choosing to vocally support Democrats and intentionally not give
any money to Republicans. And so what does this mean
to the actual product? What we saw and in this
report from the fair election sign that there was a
market uptick as your listeners remember in canceling con on
LinkedIn that was claiming COVID originated in China, or questioning

(19:05):
some of the air quote science that was being promulgated
by the World Health Organization or the CDC, and you
see a course across the board, it's almost unanimously conservative
viewpoints on LinkedIn that were completely silenced. And one of
the real concerns and digging into Microsoft's content moderation practices

(19:25):
is unlike X, which will give you a chance to rectify.
If you've been censored, or if you're posted been taken down,
you can appeal. Microsoft didn't do that. They just took
it off and sometimes canceled accounts without any recourse for
the user. And so I'd argue that their bias and
their aggressive tactics, the goal was ultimately to silence without

(19:47):
any recourse, and they did it successfully for a number
of years leading up to the twenty twenty four election,
and all of it.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
In pursuit of Marxism, abandonment of the US Constitution, and
the advancement of totalitarian government control. And that's the last
question I have for you. I'm going to play a
SoundBite from Bill Gates, the aforementioned Bill Gates, who is
a big left wing supporter, a big proponent of vaccines,

(20:14):
that he's actually on tape talking about vaccines being an
effective mechanism for population control. He's actually stated it. So
Bill Gates here, he is on man made global warming.
Listen to this.

Speaker 7 (20:30):
Climate change is a big problem. Unfortunately, there are a
lot of misunderstandings about it that keep us from focusing
on the most effective solutions. So I want to talk
about three principles that will help us find the best
way to deal with climate change. First, it's important to

(20:50):
understand the scale of the threat. Climate change is not
going to end human civilization.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
David. This is exactly the opposite message we have been
told for the last thirty years from the American left.
That we're told that the oceans would be devoid of life,
that the planet would be a healthscape, that Florida and
other coastal communities would be underwater at this point if

(21:17):
we didn't give control of our financial futures to government.
And now here you have Bill Gates saying, well, wait
a minute, it's not an existential threat that AOC and
all the rest of these leftists and Marxists have been alleging.
What is behind this?

Speaker 5 (21:34):
In your view, yeah, I mean the generous read is
that they realized they were wrong and they're finally getting
their shorts, although I don't think Bill Gates is capable
of doing that on virtue alone. I think more likely
you look at how involved they are in China. China
is the market that they're seeking to penetrate, and there's
trying to care about, you know, global climate change issues.

(21:55):
They care about, you know, welfare for workers, they care
about religious protections for the your genis ipop, No, they
don't care about any of that. And so if Microsoft
is making these claims, the clinical view I have that
they've proven over and over again is that they see
the market demand and if speaking these terms will make
China's JESM piny more preferential as its harder for them,

(22:16):
then of course they're going to say whatever they want.
And and again this is par for the course for
big tech companies. You're one hundred percent right. They're all
agards and they will control the narrative for what's going
to benefit them. So the question your viewer should be
and listeners should be asking themselves is what benefit does
Bill gate tab in changing the narrative in his favor?
And I think the CCP ties is pretty clear. Corolarry here, it.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Has been suggested that because there is such an emphasis
on artificial intelligence in China that they want to own
the next generation of AI, as does the United States,
that because of that fact, you've got now this, because
we're needing a lot of power to power up all
of this artificial intelligence, that that is now going to

(22:59):
override the fake man made global warming religion that the
left has set up. And because AI is now the prize,
what do you.

Speaker 5 (23:10):
Say, I say, I agree, I agree, bullie. And you know,
as much as it's fun to hit on companies like
Microsoft and Mena and others, the one bless them to
this push for AI and all things data centers is
that we're seeing a renewal and nuclear energy for example,
or even in Texas, some of the data centers that
are being built out here, they recognize that that leftist

(23:30):
focused narrative on solar wind for all does not provide
the reliable energy they need for data centers. And so
it took them, you know, decade too long to come
to this realization. But the business of business is business,
and in Texas, natural gads, coal and reliable energy is
what's going to power these data centers. And if nuclear
is a part of that makes I say, that's great.

(23:51):
Let's make sure the investment, though, is not in China,
but in the United States of America. For you're exactly right.
If we win this race, and when we win this race,
that will determine who is the Hedgemen in technology and
if they want to focus on China, I think Trump
the FTC and others can to come down harder on
that because it's America first, all the way.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yeah, no, I hear that. But I think it's those
who were raised on this religion of mamme global warming.
They're going to be receiving a rude awakening as all
of a sudden, the leftists who are trying to advantage
communist China are abandoning all of this, All of their
traditional allies start disappearing, and boy, what a lonely place

(24:32):
it will be. David Dunmoyer. He is the Associated vice
president of Campaigns at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. If
folks want to catch up with you and your work,
where can they go?

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Yeah, you can find me on Twitter. It's at E. D.

Speaker 5 (25:02):

Speaker 2 (25:03):
That right there is going to put a wrap on
this sal Sado Storm Podcast Till we visit again. My friends,
remember this. A society's worth isn't measured by how much
power is stolen by government. A society's worth is measured
