Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, I'm you happy, Pepok.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith, and old Buck Buddy. Are you hearing Neil, Neil?
I miss you, Mann.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I have a question. We respect for me down by
breaking a major story, Chris, Congratulations score podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Elier.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
This week I played a sound bite for you for
President Trump, and President Trump was blasting Senate Republicans for
allowing the Democrats to basically run on the clock and
destroy the America First agenda that earned President Trump, by
the way, a tweet from none other than Chuck Grassley.
You might have recalled that in the SoundBite, President Trump

(01:05):
mentioned Chuck Grassley by name and his willingness to allow
the Democrats to have veto power over Trump nominees in
this whole blue slip nonsense, and Chuck Grassley jumps on
rather snarkily onto X and writes the following, Will President
Trump be able to repeat what President George W. Bush

(01:27):
did in two thousand and two and increase the Republican
majority in the House of Representatives. I hope Trump can
outdo g W in the midterms because GW never had
the resources of President Trump. Well, George W. Bush didn't
get those Republicans elected. It was nine to eleven. The
American people knew that they couldn't trust Democrats to go

(01:49):
after America's enemies, so Republicans got elected. It was nothing
that George W. Bush had done. And George W. Bush
didn't have a whole bunch of Senate Republicans niek capping
him at every turn as President Trump does. And on
this business, that is the job of the president to
get the members of Congress and his party elected. Really

(02:13):
is that the president's job?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
See?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
I thought, Chuck Grassley, you have a record. I thought
John Cornyn has a record. I thought members of Congress
had records that they ran on on their own merit. Frankly, folks,
President Trump. If President Trump's efforts, which by the way,
are fantastic, he never stops trying to deliver for us, right,
if his efforts alone were enough to get Republicans elected,

(02:38):
well we would have no problems, now, would we? Oh?
But we do because the Republicans are being judged on
their productivity or lack thereof inside the US Congress. What
are they doing to codify into law the America First principles?
President Trump is winning on and that the American people

(02:58):
elected seventy seven million of US elected. So that's one
aspect of all of this. And then there was a
very keen observation from a guy by the name of
Mark Mitchell. He is a poster for Rasmussen Reports, and
Mark Mitchell pointed this out. He says, you know, it
blows my mind that Republicans have an investigation into the

(03:24):
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth blowing up terrorist drug votes.
But they don't have an investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop.
They don't have an investigation into Seth Rich. They don't
have an investigation into pharma murder. They don't have an
investigation into Act Blue January sixth, sixth setup in the FBI,

(03:49):
read it election integrity, Ukraine corruption, Jeffrey Epstein, the Communist
Party of China spying on the United States. Americans are
people insider trading, tech, election interference, etc. Yes, it does
seem that the Republican majority has some priorities out of whack.

(04:11):
There has been zero, folks, and might I stress, zero
accountability for what Beijing, Biden and Barack Hussein Obama did
to us for sixteen of the last twenty years. No
accountability for any of that. The law fair, no accountability
for the open borders, no accountability for the pro criminal actions,

(04:35):
no accountability for targeting people of faith Catholics in particular,
where's all that in the so called Republican controlled Congress.
I brought up President Trump his complaints about the Republicans
in the Senate and the general overall lack of production
in the Republican controlled Congress with Conservative Congressman Tim Burchett

(04:57):
of Tennessee. Hear that discussion coming up next on the
Salsado Storm podcast. And now a word from our sponsor.
My friends, did Bidenomics in the left wing economy really
rock your world? Let American medical Plans relieve one burden
health insurance. American Medical Plan specializes in under sixty five
health insurance plans that have zero copays and no deductibles.

(05:18):
You choose your doctors, you choose your hospitals. These plans
have nothing to do with your income and are thirty
to sixty percent less than Obamacare. If Obamacare has your
paying out the nose, call American medical plans. Don't let
these Marxists destroy one sixth to the US economy and
your access to healthcare without a fight. You deserve better,

(05:38):
You deserve American medical plans the answer to the cancer
that is Obamacare.

Speaker 2 (05:43):

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Congressman Tim Burchett is a Conservative who serves the second
Congressional district in Tennessee. He serves on the House Oversight,
Foreign Affairs, and Transportation Committees. Congressman, Merry Christmas.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Welcome back, very politically and credit Merry Christmas to you.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Brother.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
I got to ask you about this because the President
was on fire yesterday. On two occasions he called out
Senate Republicans.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
They appear to be running out the clock in an
effort to turn over control of the Congress back to
Democrats so they can take the lead in stopping President
Trump and they can get back to the uniparty corruption
business as usual. They are stopping the nominations of President
Trump's nominees out of deference to Democrats. And then you've

(09:29):
got Senator Kennedy over there, who is a frank speaker.
A lot like you are wondering, why haven't we started
on the second reconciliation package. Why are we wasting now
six months and doing nothing. Let me ask you, Congressman,
h am I right to be skeptical of some of
these so called Republicans and their dedication to the America

(09:49):
First agenda.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
You're one hundred percent right, and they're gutless, and we
ought to be ashamed and we ought to call them
out at every opportunity because that is exactly what is
going on. It's happening in the House, it's happening in
the Senate. They do not like Trump, they do not
like the movement, they do not like the change. And
mainly they just you know, they're in bed with the

(10:12):
corruption and the lobbyist and the staff members control what's
going on. They dangle one hundred dollars bill in front
of the of the leadership or the chairman or whatever,
and then they just alter their role whichever way that
the wind blows. And that's exactly what's going on. And
we better be really paying attention to what's going on,

(10:34):
because we could lose our country. Reagan said, in one
gener we could lose the Republican one generation, brother, we
could lose it, lose it in one vote series.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Yeah, true enough, true enough. And you know what a
lot of people are wondering why the Republican party in
control seems to have this government in neutral, I mean,
not doing anything. Whenever the Democrats take over, it's full
speed ahead. Socialism, communism, loss of rights and all that
kind of stuff. You know, we're giving what forty million

(11:05):
dollars a month, a week a week so to the Taliban.
By the way, what's the status.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Of that all right. Well, I passed that bill. It
took me, you know, over a year and a half
to get it because the Democrats were pitching a fit
because the nngos, you know, which are funding. We've got,
like we've got I believe, over a thousand NGOs in
Afghanistan right now that we are funding, and they're by
and large a lot of them are fraudulent. And you've

(11:32):
got Congressman. I'm convinced Elon Must told me this. I'm
convinced there's some congressman whose family members are making money
off these things. And and so it's over. It's in
the Senate right now, and it's held up. You got
to here you go. You got a Democrat staffer who
used to be I believe, the ambassador Afghanistan. The Trump
administration took away their their their credentials because of their

(11:58):
close relationship through the Taliban, and they're the ones that
are delaying it in the Senate. We got no guts
and we've got to push this thing through. And you know,
this thing with everybody's oh this stuff in Minnesota, with
whichever group that is that Omar's people are, I get them.
I'm so ticked off right now. I can't remember which

(12:20):
country they're from. Y, yeah, Somalia. I mean they're ripping
us off, obviously, But that's the tip of the iceberg,
that is Democrat one oh one, and the Republicans get
a taste of it, then I throw them a bone
and then they don't pitch a fit about it. It's
always the young people like me. I mean, I'm kind
of like Rudolph in Congress. I don't get to play

(12:40):
in any reindeer games. I don't I don't I don't
kiss their butt, and I don't raise enough money for
you know, our conference or whatever, so you know, I'll
never rise to the top, so to speak. But it's
just it's really just a disgrace what's going on in America.
Should be aware of it, you know, I have.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Maybe I'm that the the Republican mindset, the Republican Party's
mindset under Mitch McConnell, under John Cornyn, under the go
along to get along crowd, the George W. Bush crowd,
that their their main impetus is to find the nearest
Democrat butt cheek on which to firmly plant their lips.

(13:19):
It seems to me, a congressman that these Republicans cherish
their relationship with their socialist and Marxist friends over their
own voters. Is that too harsh of me?

Speaker 2 (13:32):
I'd say that's too light of you. I would you know,
we can't. It's just the money, and it's just and
it's ridiculous. We have twelve percent of our population that votes.
We have preachers that won't preach the gospel. We have
Americans in our schools that are just being indoctrinated. I mean,
look at my friend Iosay, she's a friendly I call

(13:53):
her my friendly neighborhood Marxist. What was her degree in economics?
And you know, and it's it's overwhelming, and we're all
patting ourselves on the back because we a couple of
these professors said something ugly about Charlie Kirk and his widow,
which they they ought to have their ass kicked to
the curve. But we're all doing a victory lap because
we've got all these people fired. It's like kudzu, man,

(14:17):
you cut it off and it comes back five different places.
We're not getting rid of the people who are causing
the problem. They just go underground and they just wait
it out to the next administration, and they just keep
doing their thing. And that's exactly what's going on. We've
got to wake up. We have to have a full
frontal assault on this after the break our leadership. And

(14:37):
I said this, of course, everybody you know pats me
on the head. Oh yeah, we're going to do that.
We should have been we should have been ready. We
should have hit the ground run. And with Obamacare, we
should have hit the ground run. And with everything else,
all these bills, you know, and as I say, as
I go to the House floor every week, you know,
those post officers aren't going to name themselves. And we're

(14:58):
doing all these study commenities and stuff. That's not the
Trump agenda. That's not America First. That's more Washington stalling.
And part of it is due to the fact I
think they want Mike Johnson to fail. And you might
love him or hate him, but he's who we got now,
and I think he can do the job if he's
given the proper support. But I just don't see it.

(15:19):
I don't see it in our party because it's just
every turn, it's something new, and you know, we just can't.
We just can't function like this, and we are going
to end up turning it over the Democrats if we're
not careful, if we don't get a fire under our
ass as we say in East.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Tennessee, Congressman Tim Burchard our guest right now, folks, second
Congressional district in Tennessee. You mentioned the GOP not ready
to hit the ground, you know when they took over, Congressman,
when they came back from there, they're one of myriad
vacations that they didn't have anything ready to go as
far as an alternative to the socialized failed healthcare system

(15:56):
of Obamacare that we are currently suffering under. Now there
is a GOP plan we hear from from Congressman Mike
Johnson and the Republicans, the first of its kind. Uh,
what are you hearing about this? What do you know?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Are you talking about Obamacare?

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Well, and a GOLP alternative is what they're saying.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah, we've got and there's several
bills that have been out. They keep saying, we don't
have anything. We put bills forward, but nobody has the
guts to push them. Gary Palmer out of Alabama House
Bill seventeen seventy six is a perfect example. It has
some business like models capitalism. Who would have thought of that,

(16:36):
you know, And it's just languishing in a committee somewhere.
Mike Johnson has a bill, has a bill and and
has and I hope that it moves forward. Everybody jumped
on Trump because he had you know, he wanted to
delay it two years. But with the tax credits and
oh Trump, you're ambushing us. We haven't done anything in

(17:00):
fifteen years. Trump moved the natal. He got us to
the table. Now guess what we're talking about it. That's
why he does those executive orders because we don't have
the guts to pass them. I've got over twenty out
there in law and in bill form to pass a
law to codify what he's done. And where are they
stuck in committee?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Stuck in committee and you all in America. We better
wake up. We better wake up, or we're going to
throw this thing away.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Roger Marshall, Yeah, Roger Tenter. Roger Marshall came onto the
TV show yesterday and he is calling his healthcare alter
and if he's a doctor, as you know, and he's
calling his healthcare plan a new Marshall plan, you know,
after himself. But it's basically centered on free market principles

(17:47):
on transparency. He wants to buy a transition period of
one year of subsidizing one more year of subsidizing Obamacare,
and then after that we transition to something called the
free market, which I had said, I had prayed the
Republican Party would remember, we have something called the free

(18:07):
market in this country, at least we used to. And
so what do you think about those types of plans?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
I like it. I think it gets us to the table.
But again, I'm tired of press conferences. Six weeks later,
we're going to have a hearing on it. Let's just
how about this, I bring to that gun build of
the committee and let's let's discuss it in the open
and before the staffers and the lobbyists get a hold
of it and pass something. Make this country do something,

(18:34):
get us to the table. That's what Trump tried to do,
and we don't have the guts to do it. I
predict it'll they're going to come with some mish mash
of everything and water it down. And oh, we can't
pass that because the Democrats are threatening us because we've
cut off the illegals and the stealing from it. And
then they'll pitch a fit. We should have never let
the insurance companies at the table. It's just like Jesus

(18:57):
throwing the money changers out. We got to throw them out.
They made huge profits and I got to go. I
had it dis way. But here's the thing they did
under the Big Beautiful Bill. They cut waste, abuse and fraud,
and they saw their profits plummet the insurance company. So
what did they do. They raised their rates on the people,
on the sick people, on the people that pay into it,

(19:19):
and it cut the doctors out of more profits, and
it cost the American rate payers more. And guess what
their stock prices now have risen again because of them
doing that. And that's exactly what we've allowed them to do.
And they fund these Democrat campaigns, Bernie and Pocahontas and
the rest of them. They've got all their and they

(19:41):
put millions into their campaigns to stall any kind of progress.
And that's exactly what they're going to do. And that's
exactly what they've been doing. And we need to watch
it and we need to call them out for it.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Congressman, I put up a BLS chart yesterday on social
media that showed every single time the taxpayers subsidized anything
costs go through the roof. Why because these industries bully
up and get all the tax payer money and it
causes prices to skyrocket. Did I hear you quickly? You
got to go, you gotta go do another interview.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yeah, I gotta get I got to get something on.
I just added this here at the last minute, and
I'm supposed to be speaking to a group right now.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
All right, well you tell them we said howdy, and
Congressman Tim Burchett thank you very much. Always appreciate the
frank talk. Hopefully we can get you back on talk
about gas prices and all that kind of stuff. But
have a great Christmas. If we don't talk to you.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Before then, Yeah, you made a perfect example of when
government adds more money. The lottery is a perfect example
of schools. Parents are paying about the exact same out
of pocket expense. We're going to do the lottery. It's
gonna pay for education. So what did pier Ed do.
They just raised their profit, they raised their costs, increase
their profits, and they need to get back to educating kids.

(20:49):
But the parents have the same out of pocket with
the billions that we pumped into education, with the lottery,
perfect example of that. Thank government doesn't needed more of
your money. I get tired of good people thinking that
they're smart, saying, oh, let's legalized pot and then we'll
get all the money from that. All the great things
will do. Now we'll just grow government as all will do,
and you won't get anything from it. So quit giving

(21:11):
us your dadgum money and let's make us manage with
what we got.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Amen to that, Thank you, sir.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Having Merry Christmas, very politically incorrect Merry Christmas to you, brother.
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
