Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, are you happy people?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith and Old Buck Buddy?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 4 (00:08):
Neil? I miss you, mannes I have a question. We
respect for me.

Speaker 5 (00:13):
Down by breaking a major story, Chris Congratulations a single
score podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
President Trump had a rally in Pennsylvania this week. Gave
an update on National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe. Apparently this guy
who was shot by that crazed, that crazed maniac that
was allowed in under Beijing Biden from Afghanistan Uh ended
up killing Sarah Beckstrom, the other National Guards person who

(01:02):
was shot. She's dead. This guy sat up, walked around.
His recovery is progressing. So that's great news. President. At
this Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania rally, he was talking about a
lot of things, a lot of injustices hitting this country.
One of the biggest injustices that we have is the

(01:24):
Democrats Socialist Party and those they have embraced the radicals
that are seeking to tear down this country. Radicals like
Ilhan Omar, who basically said of Stephen Miller that his
rhetoric talking about adhering to the rule of law was
somehow reminiscent of how the Nazis regarded the Jews, because,

(01:48):
by the way, Stephen Miller is Jewish folks, just so
everybody knows. Ilan Omar says, if you believe that people
should come here from other countries to be Americans, that
makes you hate field and racist and bigoted. I kid
you not. She said it on CBS fake news, and
the alleged American Margaret Brennan didn't push back on that

(02:09):
idea at all. So anyway, Trump is focused on Minnesota
all the crime and fraud that is alleged to have
taken there in the immigrant Somali community and the illegal
immigrant illegal alien Somali community. Fifty percent of the visas,
according to DHS, are fraudulent in the state of Minnesota alone,

(02:34):
fifty five zero percent. And President Trump doesn't take too
kindly to ilhan Omar what she represents, the corruption and
hostility toward America that she represents.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Do we have any individuals from Somalia in the girl,
please raise your hand. That's for Minnesota. You know, that's
called the Great Big Minnesota Scam with one of the
dumbest governors ever in history. I love this Elan o'mar,

(03:06):
whatever the hell her there is, she with the little shoe,
the little turban.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I love her.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
She comes in there's nothing but bitch. She's always complained.
She comes from her country where I mean, it's considered
about the worst country in the world.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Right they have Well, yeah it is, mister President, because
they all want to leave there, and they all want
to come here to the United States of America so
they can do the same thing to the US that
they did to Somalia.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
No military, they have no nothing. They have no parliament.
They don't know what the hell the word parliament means.
They have nothing. They have no police. They police themselves.
They kill each other all the time.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
She comes to our country and she's always complaining about
the constitution allows me to do this. We want to
get her to hell out. She married her brother in
order to get in, right.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
She married her brother.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Can you imagine if Donald Trump married.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
His beautiful she's a beautiful person. If I married my
sister to get my citizenship, do you think I'd last
for about two hours? Or it would be something less
than that. She married her brother to get in. Therefore
she's here illegally.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, you know, And that's the thing. This has been
out there a lot, folks. So there have been marriage certificates.
There are marriage certificates floating online right now. I just
saw one on x that was posted up there proving
beyond a shadow of a doubt, they say, they claim
that elan Omar did commit fraud and married her brother

(04:43):
so as to get in to the country. When Christy
Nome told the President of the fifty percent fifty percent
fraudulent visas from Somalia, she used this example. Apparently it
was common. It was it was common for this to
have happen among fraudsters to claim that you are married
to a sibling just so you could get your family here.

(05:07):
And that's fraud. That's not allowed when you're coming to
America on a visa.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
She should get the hell throw the hell out. She
does nothing but complains.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
They're chanting, send her back, send her back, so down
and we have our Yeah, okay. So the President getting
into something that I think is is quite serious, which
is this discussion about how this country has been flooded,
flooded with foreign nationals who have not been instructed to assimilate.

(05:49):
Is in fact, in fact a lot of them, and
we're dealing with them here in Texas who come from
hostile countries, whether it be communist, hostile countries, jihadist countries,
doesn't really matter. Those who are hostile to our constitution,
those who were hostile to our way of life, they
have come here not to be a part of America.
They have come here to change America into something we

(06:11):
were never intended to be part of. The American fabric
is taking your the cultural benefits that you bring, maybe food, cuisine,
art traditions, bringing them in. What we don't covet, what
we don't like here in the United States is when
you come in and you start implementing changes to the

(06:31):
constitution that curtail people's rights, that take away people's rights,
which a lot of these leftists who have been welcomed
in by Democrats are doing, including ilhan Omar folks. Coming
up next, we talk about some Texas issues surrounding immigration
and foreign nationals, hostile foreign nationals or our buddy Michael

(06:52):
quinn Sullivan from Texas Scorecard. It's up next on the
Salsado Storm podcast. And now a word from our sponsor,

All right, folks, I want to welcome in the publisher
of Texas Scorecard. We say a Merry Christmas to Michael
quinn Sullivan.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Hey man, Hey, Merry Christmas to you. It's you know,
I'm always torn, which is my favorite kind of season
to be able to say Merry Christmas or the other
great Christian greeting. He is risen, indeed, But those things
kind of fight for what makes me happier and to
be able to say.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, we are Christmas and Easter people typically, you know,
as we say, the triumph over death of Jesus Christ.
But Christmas is.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
New.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
It's a rebirth, it's a beginning. It's the beginning of
that journey and it's exciting. And I'm with you. As
growing up from as a child into adulthood, I have
gotten to appreciate Easter a lot more than I did
when I was a child, because, you know, all the
presents and everything around Christmas. It made it such a

(11:30):
very attractive time. Look, you and I have those things
make us smile, and you and I are about ready
to talk about things that are not really funny. A
lot of people are going to be smiling about what
you and I are talking about now, Folks. Usually when
we talk about communist China as it pertains to Texas,
we get these images of billowing smoke coming up from
the Chinese consulate as they're burning all of the evidence

(11:52):
of all of the espionage they've committed against our people
in blue cities like Houston. We don't tend to think
of our children, Michael, as being as part of this
equation from communist China. But they have got schools in
Texas that Communist China have purchased, and Robert Montoya writing
about it in Scorecard. What can you tell us?

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Yeah, look, I mean you know this one for context,
This is not new, right. China has definite plans for
our kids. They want to indoctrinate them, they want to
propagandize them, they want to turn them into good little
supporters of the Beijing regime. You know, a decade, two

(12:38):
decades ago, they started funding Confucius classrooms, literally giving cash
to our public schools to teach Mandarin, to teach your
kind of culture, Chinese culture, Chinese history, all very subtly
and sometimes not so subtly, pushing the idea that China

(12:59):
is the future and you better get on board with it.
That was the message being pushed. Now, a lot of
that stuff, the heavy propaganda, the computer classrooms, those have
gone away and so now and in part because of
laws and regulations of kind of and and and exposure.
So now China is just flat out buying private schools

(13:19):
through this investment group, the Spring Education Group that owns
a series of private school brands. And these are these
are names that when you're driving Teck you notice the
private schools. You will see some of these brands, and surprisingly, Chris,
none of them have little Chinese flags there. This is

(13:40):
all very subtle the way they're trying to doctrinate our.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Kids, you know, and you would think there was there
would be a rule, as as we have dedicated so
much of our time in Texas over two sessions now
legislative sessions, to say, hey, you know what, not a
good idea to allow the enemy of the United States,
communist China to own land and adjacent to our food
production adjacent to our military bases or just for general

(14:06):
you know, spying that China likes to do on our people.
You would think that there would be somebody in Texas
government that would say, hey, you know, not only that,
but it probably wouldn't be a good idea to give
them access to our children. And I understand these are
private schools, right, and so you can't just sit there
and say, oh, you can't go in and buy this
private business. Still, on the other hand, this insistence on transparency,

(14:31):
I think there has to be some no.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Well, so the good news is that Florida, which of
late it feels like all good things are starting in
Florida and then migrating other places. Florida has actually cut
off all of these CCP affiliated this Spring Education Group.
They've cut them off from their school choice program, citing

(14:58):
the direct ties between this Spring Education Group se G
and the Chinese Communist Party through there, through the the
the the investor group that owns these schools. And they're saying, look,
so you're not gonna you can't get money. You know
that we because of our that this is where you

(15:18):
have to give the the chacom's credit. They understand that
we have certain beliefs that we that we hold on
to very very firmly about ownership and this kind of thing.
So you know, it's a it's a it's a lift
for us to say we're going to take away something
you own. We're going to tax it, right, We're not.

(15:40):
We're not going to take this away. So that's where
and at least at a minimum, Florida is saying we're
not going we're not making you sell the schools yet,
but we're not going to let you participate in the
school choice program. Now you know, Texas, we're starting our
school choice program uh here in the next school year,
and it will be interesting to see if the comptroller,

(16:02):
if the legislature, the governor lieutenant governor will take a
similar action to primptively block. So far they have not
announced it, but that's going to be something that we
all should be watching for.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, the comptroller, not really the sharpest tool in the shed,
not a real Republican in my estimation, had to be
persuaded by Brian Harrison to give up diversity inclusion equity,
which had been already outlawed in the state of Texas,
and it hadn't been for Brian Harrison, referring the Texas
Comptroller to the Trump administration, we might still be having

(16:34):
the Controller initiating diversity inclusion, equity hiring practices for the
state of Texas, which again hastened to point out illegal.
It's not allowed here in the state of Texas, but
it was still going on. The other bit of education
focus that mister Montoya's has undertaken goes to the other
end of the spectrum, not school age children, but so

(16:57):
called higher education that we are still still allowing enemy
nations to send us there their their kids to learn
in our universities, giving them our technical know how, and
then then they're leaving, taking that know how and and
scooting off for their countries like China, Communist China, with
all that expertise. And it's happening in Texas too.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Yeah, it's happening in Texas. And it's happening that there
are currently four thousand individuals in Texas institutions of higher addition,
primarily four of them UT Texas A and M University
of Houston, and then a very small number at Texas Tech.
Most of them are at UT University of Houston and
Texas A and M. Four thousand from hostile foreign government.

(17:44):
It's from from China, UH, North Korea and UH and
in Russia where we're our where we have said, hey,
come on in, you know, come to our schools, and
look you do that again. This is that kind of
conflicted nature we have. We still act like Chris. It's
eighteen thirty seven and there are only you know, nineteen

(18:06):
people west of the west of the Mississippi. So we
need to import talent and import brains, and no one
can read and write. No, no, no, We're now a
nation of you know, three hundred and thirty million people.
There are thirty one million people, almost thirty one million
people in Texas. You know, we don't have to be

(18:27):
importing smart people. In fact, what we're actually doing is
we're bringing in for and I'm going to use this
word purposefully. We're bringing in foreign agents. We're bringing in people.
And now look, some of the foreigners come to our
schools really want to come here and want to make
a better life. My son in law is one of
those people. For goodness, stakes not from China, Novan's hostile countries,

(18:47):
but you know that they come here wanting better life,
want to be want to be Americans. Right, But yet,
but that same system is allowing these hostile agents to
come in. And you saw it at Texas A and
M just recently late. We're a person who came in
to study from China, got a job, moved through all
the processes, was the was one of the people in

(19:10):
charge of the graduate studies program in chemistry. Because of
the relationship with Texas A and M, had all this
access to government funded studies and other things. And it
was just announced he's gone back to China to lead
wait for it, a CCP affiliated lab. I at least

(19:31):
have a big role at a CCP affiliated lab that
is tied in with the Chinese military.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
You know.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
I mean he's taking all this knowledge, proprietary information that
he gained, that some of the very sensitive national security
stuff taking it back to China. You know, what are
we doing here, Chris?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
This is insane, No, it is insane. And the idea
that we want to give not just foreign nations, but
enemy foreign nations this type of leg up as if
it benefits us in any way. I mean, I think
this is the what President Trump means by America first.
Why don't you think of America first? And if you're

(20:10):
doing that, you're not allowing enemy nations to come in partake. Well,
at least tell me this, because I just just popped
into my head. We aren't providing money, taxpayer money, American
taxpayer money, to welcome in these foreign students to these universities,
are we? We're not actually paying them to disadvantage us,

(20:31):
are we?

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Oh, wouldn't that be nice? Look the fact when you
have to stand a couple of facts. Number one, even
someone who pays out of state tuition to go to
Texas A and M to go to ut University of Houston,
any of these state schools, even then they're being subsidized.
Taxpayers spend billions of dollars. So one remember that that

(20:56):
even when someone because you'll often hear this, oh, that
they're kind from China and they are paying one hundred percent,
well they're usually not. The Chinese government is, let's be clear.
But more importantly though and directly to your point, very
often once they're here, they they qualify for grants and

(21:17):
loans and all these other giveaways and goodies that that
that goes to subsidizing their education. Even further again, talking
about this professor from China who just went back now
with all that information to A to a Chinese government
lab You know, he was getting paid not only by

(21:38):
Texas A and M, paid by Texas A and M.
So we're paying him, right. We also had grant various
federal government grants and other things. So yeah, in many cases,
a great number of these four thousand students from hostile
foreign countries are not only absorbing information, making contacts, gathering

(22:00):
add and other things, but we're also paying in some
part for the privilege of them being here.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Just like their ideological cousins, the Democrats, they they like
to use taxpayers money to disadvantage us, and it looks
like it's a it's a left wing commonality among among
enemies of America, both internal and external. Folks were talking
to Michael quinn Sullivan. He is the publisher for Texas Scorecard,
So I would be remiss if you and I didn't

(22:28):
discuss some some Texas politics. Jasmine Crockett the uh well,
some have called her the AOC of Texas, and I
still think that that title belongs to Looney Lena Adalgoh,
the the now outgoing county commissioner in Harris County. But
I think the County Judge, I should say, uh in
in Harris County, but uh, Jasmine Crockett is is undertaking

(22:52):
a run at Senate on the Democrats side, and like
like a queen. Uh, the Democrat party clearing the way
for this woman who has a history of bashing whites,
bashing Christians, and making fun of people and disabled people
in wheelchairs. That's the perfect Democrat to challenge whoever the

(23:14):
Republican primary winner is, whoever's going to defeat. Praise God,
John Cornyn, your thoughts.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Look, I know that one must say is very unpopular,
but I am just giddy about Jasmine Crockett coming into
the race for the US Senate. You know, I you
know this is probably shock you, Mike Talk some of
your listeners. I actually have friends and conversations with people
who are Democrats, including Democrats in the congressional delegation. She

(23:45):
was the least liked member of their delegation. They all
were always a little embarrassed when they would see her
start to open her mouth in front of a camera,
and then really embarrassed. But whatever came out of her
mouth in front of the camera, and so they were
all really they were all really happy. None of them
liked they were districting stuff. They really liked her not

(24:06):
coming back, and so her running for the US Senate
in some ways is indicative of the fact of just
how not seriously the Democrats are taking their chances. If
they thought they had a better chance of winning that
that US Senate seat currently held by John Cornyn, they

(24:29):
would have someone better. But they don't. No one who
could possibly credibly run for that seat is running because
they're not going to win, in part because they have
too many people in office like Jasmine Crockett. No one
who's credible wants to run with that kind of baggage
having to answer for the stupid things people like Jasmine

(24:51):
Crockett and Lena Hildalgo are saying. And then now I
will hasten to note Chris not to not to correct
the host or anything. But there is someone else in
the race, and that state represented James Tallarico, the the
the suspiciously single UH seminarian who somehow doesn't have a
real job job that can afford to be in politics.

(25:13):
I mean, just an all around weird guy who was
also just highly unelectable except for in a very few
zip codes in in in a heavily jerrymandered district for
the Texas House, but he's running again statewide. This and
all of what kind of signaling that the Democrats know

(25:34):
they can't win Texas.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I see so well, you know, first off, I stand corrected,
And in my own defense, I think most people find
James Tallerico utterly forgettable, and so I would.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Just utterly forgettable, forgetable.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Yeah, so so in my own defense, you know, I
I really I did. I was aware that he was in,
but it's like, oh wow, he announced, and then I
quickly forgot about him. But I find it fascinating that
you talked to Democrats who see Jasmine Crockett and hear
Jasmine Crockett and the things that she says and does,

(26:07):
and they are ashamed of her, but you don't ever
hear that. I mean, I think we should marvel at
the democrats discipline to be able to not criticize their own.
If only Republicans had that kind of mindset toward their own,
like President Trump and all of these all of these

(26:29):
attacks that are going on down Narco terrorists that are
most Americans, majority of Americans support, but you know, Republicans
are navel gazing over over this because it has the
Democrats very upset. And I don't know, Michael, maybe I
don't know if I'm the only one wondering, But every
single time one of these Narco boats goes down and
one of these Narco terrorists go down with it to

(26:51):
go meet Davy Jones in his locker, right, the Democrats
just getting more and more unhinged. Watching those drunk those
drugs sink beneath the ocean, watching those Narco terrorists sink
beneath the ocean, I'm beginning to wonder why, what what
you know?

Speaker 4 (27:08):
What distresses them so?

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Well?

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Well, look, I think first you remember, Democrats are collective uts, right,
They're they're you know, their weakness is that they hold
to a collectivist philosophy. Their strength is that their collective
us right strength usually the same thing. Our strength is
that we are that we believe in the dignity and

(27:31):
the integrity of the individual. That's why we like free
markets and all those kind of things. But the downside
is we sometimes are very individual.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Right.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
So you know, if I don't like what Chris Salceato
is doing, I'm going to say I don't like what
Chris Salceto is doing. I'll make sure everyone knows I
don't like with Jim because I am an individual and
you're an individual, and you're doing bad things, and I
know better than you know better than that kind of thing.
For the Democrats, their collectivest mentality means there always going
to default to huddling in the group. Right now, there's

(28:05):
strength in numbers. That's something that we often say, right,
I'm going to strengthen a weakness. But but but the
weakness of the Democrats here is they've taken this uh
that they have taken their personal animus towards Donald Trump,
and they have turned it into a principle. And so
if Donald Trump says, what a lovely blue sky, the

(28:28):
Democrats are going to attack Donald Trump for noting the
color of the sky, and then they're going to assault
anyone who says good morning to them for the next
three weeks, right, And that that animous they have towards
Donald Trump points to now in this case where on
the one hand, you have a number of these you know,

(28:50):
Democrats who will will and I believe them when they say, oh,
we don't want narco terrorism. We know we want to
get rid of the cartels. I believe them when they that.
But yet you have a president who is actually making
life more expensive and more miserable for the Narco terrorists,
for the cartels than any president ever has. Into the Democrats,

(29:13):
That's how why this sounds so absolutely bonkers insane, is
because they will say, on one hand, I you know,
I want to get rid of the cartels. How dare
Donald Trump do anything to get rid of the cartels?
Wait a second, you can't have that both ways. I
begin be in the delusional mind of the Democrats, they
think they can have it both ways.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Well, and that leads me with this, the the lack
of unifying principles among the Republicans to the GOP primary
and this contest between John Cornyan, between Ken Paxton and
Wesley Hunt. It seems the polling, the recent polling I've

(29:52):
seen that the incumbent John Cornyan, who classifies the aforementioned
Jasmine Crockett as his quote dance partner in the house,
not my quote, that's that's his quote. Uh, that he
would probably be a not the logical choice to oppose her.
And by the way, she said some very kind things
from a Democrat's perspective about him and uh and and

(30:15):
the polling suggest that Paxton and Wesley Hunt are handing
this incumbent left wing Republican his lunch. In the polls
thus far, what's your read?

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Yeah, John Cornyn coming in third place? You know, I
you know, so many of us have kind of accepted
the idea that John Cornyn's not popular, right and and look,
you know, every incumbent's going to lose four months out
from from from an election according to the eyes of
the people who don't like them. But the fact that

(30:48):
you have so many different polls showing John Cornyn in
third place, this is nothing short of historic, Chris, that
Republican voters generally stick with their incumbents. Incumbents At one point,
incumbents in the United States Senate had a lower turnover

(31:11):
rate than the House of Lords in England. Remember that's
the that's the hereditary body that you die from, right
And yet the US Sendate had had lower turnover than
they had, right And and and so I think to
see John Cornyn in third place, you know against yes,
you know, I mean you kind of get you know,
kN Paxton very grassroots, see very popular. You can understand

(31:34):
him being behind Ken Paxton. But the fact he's also
behind Wesley Hunt, well, look, I like mister Hunt. He
would be a great member of the US Senate, just
like Ken Paxton would. But Wesley Hunt is unknown. He's
he has not been a statewide official, he isn't known statewide,
he's only been in Congress for a couple of years.
But yet he's beating John Cornyn in lots of these

(31:56):
different polls. That tells you that the Republican voter are
tired of John Cornyn. That's just that is a big thing. Now. Look,
that could all change in January. That could all change
when early voting starts in February. But the fact that
John Cornyn is in third place, that in and of
itself tells you that Texas Republicans are looking for people

(32:18):
who will do something more than get along with the
establishment in Washington, d C. Getting along with the establishment is,
I would argue, part of the problem with our country
today too much getting along in Washington. I didn't I
don't like someone to go to Washington to make friends.

(32:39):
I elect them to go and save the Republic. And
if that means not being friends with anyone, well that's
what I want.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Yeah, And that's Tim Burchett, prime example. I spoke with
him on the radio recently and asked him about what
am I ready to ask you? And a lot of
folks don't know of Michael Quinn Sullivan. Folks that he
was a Capitol Hill staffer, so he's going to know
what I'm talking about. President Trump recently railing Michael on
the United States Senate for adhering to this blue slip nonsense.

(33:05):
For those of you who know what a blue slip is,
this is let's say what we'll take the current scenario.
Republican president wants to put a US attorney or a
judge in a particular blue state where there are senators
in that state that are Democrats. The Democrats are able
to say, I'm not going to allow that person, and

(33:27):
even though the Republicans are in charge of the United
States Senate, they will say, Okay, we're going to pull
that person, and they won't even get an upper down vote.
It's happened to Alena Haba, who was the acting US
Attorney in New Jersey because Republicans would not bring her
up for a confirmation hearing, wouldn't even evaluate her. So
President Trump is beside himself. Now, what makes this really egregious, Michael,

(33:50):
and I want you to address this point is that
these same Republicans who are adhering to this gentleman's agreement,
this blue slip agreement, the Democrat have gone back on
that so many times, while these same Republicans have tripped
all over themselves to vote for highly unqualified anti American
leftists and Marxists who would go on after their nom

(34:13):
nominations were approved by Republicans, allowed by Republicans, and approved
by Democrats, to go on to do crazy things in
this country like open the borders law, fair massive harm
and damage, pro pro criminal legislation from the from the
DJ that's all on Republicans. They tripped over themselves to

(34:33):
approve Joe Biden using this phrase, Well, every president deserves
his nominees, but it doesn't seem to apply to their own, no.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
What I'm Sometimes it's a little funny, and sometimes you
can you can laugh about the nature of Republicans being
like Charlie Brown and Democrats being lucy and if the
ball getting pulled out from the mayor every time, and
they know Charlie Brown keeps falling for it, right, But

(35:04):
at some point, it's just really not funny anymore. At
some point, you know, you understand why a cartoon character
keeps falling for it. It's it's less understandable why Republican
adult men and women who apparently are successful and reasonable
and got elected to be a Senate, why they keep

(35:26):
falling for it. And you start to realize that maybe maybe,
and this is uncomfortable, they're okay with having the football
football pull from them. Maybe maybe they're okay with the
game being played that way, you know, And and and
I think in some part it's because of this idea
of comedy, not comedy, it's a dark comedy, but comedy

(35:49):
where oh, we're all going to get along, which explains
this bluesip thing. Well, you know, yes, that's a junior
Democrat senator from a state most Americans have never heard of.
But here in the club of one hundred, you know,
we look out for each other because we look out
for each other. First. No, you're supposed to be representing

(36:10):
the interests of your state, not the interests of the
junior other party senator from some other state. Right, but
in the spirit of committee, they will kill a president's
essentially kila president's agenda. Why, because they're more concerned with

(36:30):
getting along with the Democrats, getting along with the other
senators than they are in doing than in carrying out
the expressed wishes of their voters. Remember, we didn't used
to always elect members of the US Senate. For much
of our history, senators were appointed by the legislature, and

(36:51):
so then the senators were watching out for the interests
of the states. The US House members were representing the people.
And you say, you had all these checks and balances
that were put in place. In the early twentieth century,
we went to direct election of the senators and think, well,
now the senators will also be responsive to the people. No,

(37:12):
they become less responsive because these cats are far more
interested in getting along with Democrats they are in achieving
the goals that we have for them. We need less commity.
And if the president and in some ways, Chris and
forgive me for going along here, but in some ways
I would be happy to learn that the Republicans were

(37:36):
blocking We're helping the Democrats block an appointee of President
Trump and going along with the blue ship because they
hate Donald Trump. Right, if all it was was Trump
derangement syndrome, Okay, well, I can understand that because at
least they will fight when it's Present Vance or President
Crews or President Rubio or President DeSantis or whoever the

(37:58):
next Republican president is. But in fact, what we know
is they're not going to fight then either. This isn't
about Donald Trump. This is about that committy problem where
they all want to get along. And if Donald Trump
accomplishes nothing else as president by exposing this horrible system,

(38:18):
by demonstrating what this horrible system is and making Republican
senators say, yes, that's a cute tradition. Unfortunately, it's a
tradition that is responsible for destroying America. I think President
Trump will have done a great service to our country.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I am with you, and again to buddress the point, folks,
it seems that Republicans and only Republicans, because as the
President pointed out, this is only one way. The Republicans
seem more interested in pleasing Democrats than adhering and keeping
fidelity to their voters. And that's why it's a big problem.
It's not how the republic is supposed to work. And

(38:54):
I am glad I got the evaluation from one Michael
Quinn Sullivan publisher of the text Scorecard. Sir, we'll say
it again. We'll end on a happy note. Merry Christmas.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Hey, Merry Christmas to you, my friend.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
