We respect for me down, Missy, were breaking a major story. Chris, congratulations.
Listen to a single Score podcast.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Strange times we find ourselves in, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Folks.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
We've endured a lot of persecution, prosecution from the last
four years of the Biden regime, those of us who
are pro American, those of us who believe in in
a christ centered life, in the inherent goodness of our country.
We've been put through the ringer, folks, by leftists, by Marxists,
(01:07):
and we're told we have to put up with this stuff.
We're told we have to endure it. And I think
that maybe, as they typically do, the left wing has
overreached again. And why do I say that. It's because
we're starting to see a pushback, and it's an organic pushback.
(01:28):
And as we're coming into the Christmas season and we're
being told by certain school districts that they're taking Christmas
off the calendar, as we're being told by certain people
that you can't celebrate the birth of Christ, you can't
have Christmas trees, up. Every other religion is fine, but
somehow Christianityism outs. You're starting to get this feeling that
(01:51):
there's a lot of pushback from Christians. Are like, wait
a minute, in America, we should be able to espouse
what we believe. We should be able to be proud
Christians because everybody's supposed to be accepted here. That was
the Christian foundation that we laid for the country, right,
Christian foundation says, hey, be who you want to be.
(02:11):
We believe Christianity is the way to go, but you know,
not going to force you to it. You know, we
believe that as Christians that every man and woman comes
to God in his or her own time, and that
has been mistaken for that strength has been mistaken for
complacency at times. And you're starting to get a sense
(02:32):
that people are starting to take it personally and they should.
Did you see what happened with Nicki Minaj. She was
sitting down at this Turning Point Amfest America Fest over
the weekend turning Point USA puts it on and she
was a surprise guest, and she came out and spoke
rather forcefully for Christianity, receive that belize we won't be
(02:58):
silenced again.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
We will speak up for Christians wherever they are in
this world.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Amen. Amen. I don't know if you can see this
at home, but she is getting a ton of standing ovations.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I love you guys so much.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Thank you, Thank you guys.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
Yeah. So that's from a rapper, folks, I mean, and
not that rappers can't be lovers of God and devotees
of Christ. I'm just saying that this is this is
how it has been throughout Christianity's history, from the most
unlikely of sources. The inspiration has come to return to
(03:49):
what is good, what is holy, what is what is pure.
And our country has very much these foundations. And I
think as people are starting to destroy the Christian ethic
that built this country, I think you're starting to see
that pushback, people saying no, wait a minute, it shouldn't
be destroyed, and people are standing up saying no, I
(04:13):
don't think we're gonna let it go by the wayside.
I think we're going to take a stand. And again
coming from Nicki Minaj, the vice president speaking at this conference,
as well a lot of conservative luminaries speaking at this conference,
but you know, one of the world's most famous rappers
saying yeah, this far, no further, and we're going to
(04:33):
push back. I have been getting a lot of requests
from the radio show folks that love when I'm about
ready to play for you. It's something that I got
from the Rush Limb Boss Show. This was one of
Rush Limbaugh's favorite songs at Christmas time, and we put
our own little spin on it. This is Mannheim Steamroller
Silent Night, and we call it The Salsado Show Silent Night.
(04:58):
And because we kind of old everything that has been
the American tradition into this song, basically a song that
is focused on the real meaning of Christmas and everything
that has been part of the American experience that surrounds
that the very American experience that is celebrated the birth
(05:20):
of Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind. So this is
what we put together, folks on this Christmas Eve and
Christmas and I got so many requests from folks who
want to hear it and share it with their families. So,
without further ado, this is The Salsado Show Silent Night,
as heard on the Chris Salsado radio show now on
(05:42):
the Salsado Storm podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Is all about.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Hurry Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
We got serious, viner serious.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Been here, God bless us everything.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I'm busy, Mama, It's almost Christmas.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
You ever heard of a skinny center? Eat?
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Got me back? I don't care what happens to me.
Get me back to my wife and kids.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
At this special time of year, we all renew our
sense of wonder in recalling the story of the First
Christmas in Bethlehem nearly two thousand years ago.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Fight please.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
There were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night and low, the
Angel of the Lord came upon them. The glory of
the Lord shall round about them. And they were sore afraid,
And the Angel said, unto them, fear not, for behold,
I bring your tidings a great joy which shall be
to all people.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Some celebrate Christmas as the birthday of a great and
good philosopher and teaching. Others of us believe in the
divinity of the child born in Bethlehem, that he was
and is the promised Prince of Peace.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
For unto you is born this day in the city
of David a savior, just Christ the Lord. And this
shall be a sign unto you. He shall find the
babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yes, we've questioned why he who could perform miracles chose
to come among us as a helpless babe. But maybe
that was his first miracle, his first great lesson, that
we should learn to care for one another.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of
the heavenly host, praising God and shame glory of God
in the highest and on earth peace goodwill toward men.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Tonight in millions of American homes, the glow of the
Christmas tree is a reflection of the love Jesus taught us.
Like the shepherds and wise men of that First Christmas,
we Americans have always tried to follow a higher light,
a star if you will have a lonely camp fire,
vigils along the frontier in the darkest days of the
Great Depression. Through war and peace, the twin beacons of
(09:56):
faith and freedom have brightened the American sky. Times our
footsteps may have faltered, but trusting in God's help, We've
never lost our way.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
That's what Christmas is all about sorry Brown.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Have a blessed and a merry Christmas, ladies and gentlemen,
and the most prosperous of New Year's fresh. New episodes
