Speaker 2 (00:06):
Fun thrills that'll make us silver come tie not fun,
Silver come tie up fun.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Welcome to another episode of the Silverwood Show podcast. And
I am here with my co host Jordan, who is
a dad, Yes true, Jed. I am Sarah, and I've
got a dad that loves to come to Silverwood. He's
actually got a Gold pass this year, so we'll be
seeing a lot of him. So we're kind of going
to make a super special Father's Day episode this week
and talk about our top what five choices for pretty

(00:37):
much everything in the park for Dad top to Dad.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Worthy, the top dad Worthy rides, water slides, food, and
just hidden gems that you can find in the park.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
So this is going to be a great episode, especially
if you're bringing Dad to the park this weekend. But
before we go there, let's kick things off with the
park Pulse Park Pools.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
We had a great weekend.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
It was a beautiful it was worn yeah so yeah,
so well right, and that's and that's kind of was like.
Our spring this year has been unbelievable. We had some
you know, rainy days in May on Sundays specifically, but
since basically Memorial Day weekend it's been just nothing but
great weather. So and the lines are basically non existent,

(01:21):
So come out, are you not now? Because it's they're coming.
It's going to be July and August and people are
going to be coming. But right now, I mean almost
every ride you can just walk up.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Walked right onto Eagle Hunt this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
I was like, it's a Saturday and I walked right
onto Eagle Hunt, so you should probably be here.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Be here now.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yeah, it was amazing my first Eagle Hunt experience.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I wasn't amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
I definitely know what the hype is all about and
why we are award winning and all that good stuff.
So it was a lot of fun. I tried all
the foods over in Builder Beach.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Okay, did you try the chicken and waffle? I didn't,
So you didn't try all the.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Food and sweet food, let's go that way.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
We went with the dipped and the answer was wrong.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Okay, so that will be Friday.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I'm gonna try it on Friday, Okay, yeah, because we
have more guests Friday.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, we're gonna try that on Friday.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
But I did try all the fun things that are
conductors wander Cordline Hannah and Wendy wrote about in this
last week's uh Silverwood Express blog. A lot of people
were asking, like where do I get that? Well, their
blog breaks it down to a tea like it's perfect.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
It looks so good, so good, and.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
That's what's so Yeah, I have to go try all
these things. The butter scotch dipped vanilla.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Bar that's my favorite too.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
That was really good, unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
It's like a butter scotch dip with finger on top
of the butterscotch right, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, and it's all hand dipped right there, so it's
fresh and.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It's really pretty and yeah it is totally photo worthy.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yes, totally yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And then the Huckleberry soft served you you had it, yes,
Oh my gosh, Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
It was so hot.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
I had to put it in a cup because it's
not going to last. But oh my goodness, you were
so right.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
That was and you get a lot of a lot,
you get a lot of you need a whole cup.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, it was amazing.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
And of course tried out some of the new like
the egg rolls and all that good stuff over us.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
A fire kitchen man.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
You had yourself a day we did and this was
after work.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
So yeah, we went into the park at like five
o'clock and just had the greatest time ever.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
So full lazy river. I think that's a tip for people.
We're gonna go right into the tips right now. Is
if you are a local and you I mean it's
a twenty minute drive out here, come after work, after work,
and then you don't have tickets or if you have
a season pass that makes it easy. But tickets are
cheaper after four pm exactly, So come on out.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
That's a fun tip.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I've been telling a lot of people that online They've
been asking for promo codes and things like that. I'm like, hey,
just come after what time is it like four am? Yeah,
so it's cheaper.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
So yeah, I mean you save like twenty dollars off
the online price.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Yeah, and we had a full I mean I was
sunburnt within by the time the Boulder Beach closed, So.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I mean you still have hours in Bolder Beach, and
then you have if it's a Friday or Saturday, you
have another three hours after that.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Of silver Woods so you can.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Get and then another hour hour of main Street to
shop there you go, So I mean, really, everything you
can do everything after work. So yeah, so great weekend.
We got Dad's weekend coming up this weekend. So you
purchase a ticket as whatnot.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Yeah, online or at the front gate, and Dad gets
in free. It's the same thing as Mother's Day weekends.
So Dad, you do not need to buy a ticket.
We trust you. You do not need to bring a
birth certificate, your kids and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Bringing a child does help, yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
It's not necessary.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
The only requirement is someone has to purchase a ticket
or there has to be like a season pass that
someone has to get Dad in.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Fore.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah, so lots of those questions happening as well. So
again we trust you.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
And the weather looks beautiful. Yeah, it's going to be
a perfect goose to eighty.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I think both days.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Great, perfect, perfect, no better way, just day.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
You can't get better.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I mean, remember you only get eighteen summers. I'm just
gonna plug that in there.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah, it's you know to think about that. Come out
with the kiddo on Father's Day weekend.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah, make some new experiences, new memories. I mean, I
know Father's Day, I mean typically it's like barbecue and
all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
But let us barbecue and you just enjoy the rise.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Oh my gosh. And if you go to Chuck Wagon.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Or Country, it's great.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Oh it's just been smelling so good in the morning.
I wake up hungry every single day dreaming about barbecue.
So and our current schedule, we're officially it's on.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Yeah, seven days a week. Bolder Beach and silver Water
are open. Bolder Beach is always open until seven pm,
so no matter what seven pm. The Silverwood schedule fluctuates
for between nine pm clothes and ten pm clothes. Fridays
and Saturdays is a ten pm close.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
There you go. So it's yeah, it's official. I mean
all of that. Yeah, before we know.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
It's going to be Labor Day and it's the summer
is going to be gone, So get out here early
to make the most of it. Because the later you
go into the summer, the more those people are like, wait,
we need to go to Silverwood this summer.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
And the weather's good.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Now, the weather's great.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
You can't predict that it's going to be great. Also,
so yeah, esp actually forest fires, things like that. You know,
just just come come enjoy sometime.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
You can always come back.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Right, well, you can always buy a two day ticket
and then come now and then hold that one for.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
A later time too.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Another tip. There you go, all about the tips and
the tips. What do you say that?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
We head into some loyal listener questions with the mail train,
lots of great questions.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
We're still just loading up on loyal listeners.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
If you want to become a loyal listener, have your
chance for us to call you or answer one of
your questions. Just head to Silverwood themepark dot com slash podcast.
But our first question today was from Mandy McNair and
she wanted to know what is the best souvenir to
buy to remember your first Silverwood trip forever? Also, do
any of the roller coasters have a camera that takes

(06:50):
pictures of you on the ride? So a double oh
yeah yeah, So best souvenir souvenir?

Speaker 4 (06:56):
I mean so many, There are a lot, but I
think the key word is to remember your trip forever.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
And so man I would say a sweatshirt is always
a good one because every time you put that on,
like the right on sweatshirts, you see those everywhere.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
You have that vintage Tremors sweatshirt that you wore this winter, like.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, those things wi last forever.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
They last a long time. But I do agree that
the roller coaster pictures are are key. Yeah, And so
we do have that on tremors and stunt Pilot, so
you can get pictures there. We're hoping to add more
in future years, which which will be great. But yeah,
I know my daughter her first time riding stunt Pilot.
We got the picture we got on a key chain

(07:38):
and so she puts it on her backpack when she
goes to school, and so she remembers it forever. So
I think that's a great one just because you got
a photo attached to the memory.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I agree. I'd agree with you one hundred percent there.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
So because I was gonna say snow globe, but I
actually just had a woman write in yesterday that they
dropped the snow glow globe in the r V park.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
And shoot, so that one might Christmas ornament.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yes, you can find those up in the front coffee
house that every time you put it up on the
tree you can remember that.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah, So we have one of those exactly all and
I bought one last year to commemorate. So yeah, definitely
lots of options. And if you know you come to
the park, you see something, you forget to buy it.
You can always go to Shopsilverwood dot com and kind
of look at our online store there and they can
actually look for you. If there's something that you saw
that you don't see there, just hit that contact button

(08:28):
and they can do some searching for you.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I know, look at us today.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
So next up with Sean Phoebes, and he wanted to
know what is the number one thing we should splurge
on when we visit to make great memories.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
The number one thing we should splurge on.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
I think Cabana would be my first That was my
first thought. Yeah, my first thought was at Cabana because
it is It gives you that privac scene, that home
base that you can't get reallyenwhere else, and you don't
have to get there super early to try or beat
the rush to find that spot in Boulder Beach specifically.
So I don't know, I mean, I think that would

(09:05):
be my number one.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
That's what I would do one hundred percent. Plus.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
You get the rental tubes, you get the towels, you
get all sorts of fun little things, and you can
do a birthday package for like forty nine ninety five
or something like that that includes a cake and streamers
and decorations, and so yeah, you can really kind of
make your experience extra special that way.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, and then the I mean splurge, I don't know,
there's not a lot of things out there that are
like splurge expensive, you know. So another splurge I guess
would be Lindy's. You know, a nice meal, sit down
meal Lindy's where you gather everybody together for dinner or
for a late lunch and you just enjoy your time
together before you go back out and do more stuff,

(09:46):
because it is a great time for people to sit
in a nice, controlled environment with really good food before
you go back and make more memories exactly.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
So those would be the top two I.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Think, so for sure. Yeah, and I don't I can't
really think of another thing.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
That, say go buy like a ginormous Teddy Bear sasquatch.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, that's always an option.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
I mean they'll remember that, remember they can't even get
it to the college. So yeah, yeah, I think from
a group standpoint, so I think a splurge on a
group standpoint would be a roller coaster alley entrance, which
you can if you have fifteen or more people, you
can contact our group sales department and you can book

(10:25):
what we call a roller coaster alley, which is exclusive
ride time an hour before anybody is able to enter
the ride side of the park, and you can have
basically your group or a limited number of people that
are riding you know, timber, tear tremors, stump pilots, some
of these like iconic rides. So that would be a
splurge for sure, but that would be for your for

(10:47):
your group specifically.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
And what a kid dream.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
I know that I dreamt about that kind of thing,
like having a theme park to myself when I was
a little kid.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
I mean just phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
When I think when we bring people to the park
and the park's not open yet and they're walking in
the streets and no one's in the park, they're like,
oh my gosh, I can't believe that nobody's here. It
feels so weird, and we're like, this is normal, this
could be you ally day.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
I remember when I first started and the first time
walking through the park and nobody was here, and I
was like, whoh, this is crazy, But it's it's really
neat to kind of envision that energy that's going to
be there later, but to have it to yourself. Yeah,
great slurg slurge for sure. So great question, Sean, Thank
you for that. Aaron Folk wanted to know what is
the most unique and yummy thing to eat at the park?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Unique?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Right now? I think you'd say the chicken waffle.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Yeah, because I just I mean, I don't know if
it's necessarily a big thing up in the Pacific Northwest, so.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
That's more of a southern yeah, so I.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Would definitely try that. But I mean unique. I think
the fruit fetti funnel cakes unique.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Yeah, you're welcome, man, what are you thinking, I mean,
huckleberry anything.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
I guess those very anything. Those floats to go is
pretty unique. I mean you've never seen that before. So
the floats to go.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Can be found in the ice creamery and you can
get I think you can get like a roop your
float or like a creamsicle float.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
The orange so with the vanilla so good, and even gosh,
those dipped vanilla are things.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Those are pretty unique. I mean hand dipped.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
It reminds me of like the old school candy shops
or ice cream shops or something.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
So well, that's that's kind of going into like the
candy store, which you know is a little hidden gym here.
You can find some really unique candy there that are
maybe even vintage.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Like from the eighties, like straight the great stuff.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, so go there. I think our fudge can be unique.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, absolutely. Have you ever had crim relat fudge?

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Yeah? Probably not watermelon?

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Yeah, so's there's unique stuff so all over the park.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
I guess it just depends on what you're craving that day. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, I had one of the was it Huckleberry cinemon.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Rolls or yeah I haven't had that yet.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Oh my gosh, so good.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I mean we could go on and on about food.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Okay, start could, and it's always ready for lunch that
we're doing.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
This exactly, so great question, Aaron.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
My recommendation is just try everything, So do what I
did at Boulder Beach the other day and just come
hungry and go home happy. So we have another winner
this week that we're going to be calling to play
a little game of true or false for a chance
to win upwards of seventy five dollars in Silverwood cash.
Plus we're going to be giving away a pair of tickets,
So let's generate this week's loyal listener. We have a winner,

(13:36):
and I'm being told it's number one five to seven.
Let's give them a call. Hi.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Is this Rhonda? Yes, it is hey, Ronda.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
This is Sarah and Jordan from the Silverwood Show podcast
here at Silverwood Theme Park.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
How are you.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
I'm good.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Thank you for doing we're doing.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Guess what you are our loyal listener for the week,
which means we are giving you a pair of tickets
to Silverwood.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Oh cool, that's great, Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
You're so welcome.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
But we wanted to see if you were interested in
winning upwards to seventy five dollars in Silverwood cash on
top of that, with a little.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Game of tru or false. Oh sure of course.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Oh you'll be fine. You got a fifty percent chance
to get every question. So I'm going to give you
five true or false statements. You just guess true or false.
Do you get it right, you get five dollars. You
get it wrong, we move on to the next one,
and then at the end, Jordan has a fun sounder
for you, and if you can guess what right it is.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
You'll get what.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah, okay, all right, okay, she's ready, so elephants can
fly at Silverwood.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
True or false? True? Yeah, she's like, oh one one.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I know, we write one every time.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Okay, we're we're in the right direction.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Yes, the probability of getting wet on thunder Canyon is one.

Speaker 5 (15:08):
True.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Correct, she's on a roll. We got ten dollars in
the bank. The third one.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Silverwood's heroin Haro win.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
How do you say hair haro, So just say Silverwoods
Ranger Ranger. He's a heer. Yeah. During the train robbery
is named Ranger Daisy.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
False correct, Wow, rons on it.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Nice work.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
So we've got fifteen dollars in the bank. Now, so
onto the next one. There is a life sized stuffed
bear for sale at the park.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
Ooh, that's a hard one. True.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yes, has.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
And she tries to sell it to me every time
I go in there. So I don't know how you
get it to the car, but it is there, all right.
This is the next one. The Coaster Classic Car Show
is in its twenty third year this year.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
True five five, you're on it.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Twenty dollars, twenty dollars in the bank. Okay, are you
ready for your sounder?

Speaker 4 (16:13):
That's twenty five dollars, Yeah, five five, twenty five dollars.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah, Okay, the.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Sound bite that we are going to play is a
ride in Silverwood or Boulder Beach. So we have one
wrong answer that I will share with you is Quarkscrew.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
That was incorrect. Here comes the ride.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Sound one of the roller coasters, is it? Oh, what's
the wooden one?

Speaker 2 (16:54):
I'm gonna play Tamporteraro tremors, Wooden.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
Ones, Tremors Tremors.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Oh, that was the one you missed. But that's okay.
You still got your twenty five dollars.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Yes, and I don't even know what it is. Jordan
won't tell me.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
So I don't get to find out.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
No, we're going to move on to the next listening
to the podcast, and we will definitely have an answer,
but that sounder will move on to the next person too,
over and over again. But you did get twenty five dollars.
You did get a pair of tickets, and I'm going
to be leaving those that will call for you. I'll
also give you a call here after the podcast to
give you those details. All right, Okay, thanks so much
for playing Rhonda, and thanks for being our loyal listener

(17:31):
of the week.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Thank you buying bye. Oh my gosh, Jordan, she did great.
I mean she didn't even think about those flying elephants.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
I I know, I thought she was going to be
another five or five and then god the sounder, right,
but that moves on.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
That's a tough one.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
So next week we could be calling you next if
you know what that sounder is, make sure you're prepared
to answer your phone. If you're not a loyal listener yet,
you can sign up at silverworthmepark dot com slash podcast.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
That's big drop time, drup. Father's Day is this weekend and.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
We're gonna have a lot of dads in the park,
So no better thing to do this week, right then
give them our dad worthy tips?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Yes, I agree. Yeah, And we.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Don't want you guys to have any struggles, especially if
mom's not there this weekend and you're on your own.
So this is going to give also the kids a
great idea of what dad will really like to do
if you want to plan that trip.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
So what are we going to start off with?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Well, I think I think the best place to start
off is probably on the theme park side.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Okay, okay, so that's.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Going to be. Yes, the top five dad worthy rides. Okay,
and this is subject.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
We're going to start at the bottom or at the top.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
You always start at the bottom.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Okaying in at number five, do we have like a
drum roll?

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Or do we need that?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I do have a drum roll? Do we want drum
roll every time?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Probably just at the beginning?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Okay, first one? Drum please?

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Coming in at number five is.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yes, it is? Okay, there it is. I was looking
at the wrong one. Bumper boats.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Bumper boats, The happiest dad faces I have seen is
in them. I mean I think that's where we've gotten
some of our best shots of dads too.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah, yeah, because I mean it becomes kind of a competition,
especially with the people you don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
You team up and get everybody wet. But it really
is something that is just like fun for everyone and
the epidemy of dad. Yeah yeah, I've seen dads in
there with their kids and their kids like I want
to squore it and dads.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Like nope, I got it. We are war right now?
Do you understand?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Let dad be the protector today? And bumper boats definitely.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Bumpot is a great one. And I think if we
have more boats, it would get any more chaos. But
there's a lot of boats already in the water.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
There are and mutch for yeah, it's it's funny. It's
just really funny if you just want to sit back
and watch the dads this weekend, just stand on the
sidelines and get.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
A good laugh.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
So well, and I know, like whenever I'm in there,
like against other dads, they're always trying to figure out
like the secret thing, like how do I how do
I get the stream to go straight and hit someone
in the face. Everybody's looking for the head shot, right, Well,
I think I've seen I've seen a couple here. We'll

(20:25):
give We'll give some secrets for I like it. First
secret in line, pay attention to which boat is shooting
the most straight line line drive accurately, because a lot
of them shoot like rainbow. But you want the ones
that if you can get under that rainbow, you can nail.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Something right in the face full like line.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Like yes, line drive shots. So whatever one's shooting the
most line drive, hit that. If you aren't able to
get that, or once you're in the boats, do the
pulse action, so pulse your shot so that it is
more like.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
You know how sprinklers, we're like hitting everybody.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
Okay, so pulse a shot and then the most veter
move I see as people put in their hand over
the front of the sprayer.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Oh so it rays more of a yeah, like a
wide spray.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Yeah, and get people, especially when you're up close and
personal in the actions.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
So bumper boats, I love it.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Okay, that's perfect for number five. So bumper boats.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Bumper Boats is number five. What is moving on to
number four is spin Cycle.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yes, and this is my personal favorite ride, so Dad
hopefully will love it.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
My dad done so much.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
But it's one of those rides that I feel like
you have to conquer and Dad loves to be the
brave conquer right, So you're going to go upside down.
You get to sit by your kids, you get to
see the park from a totally different view that you'd
normally never get to see it.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Yeah, and it's the tallest of it's kind of the world.
So conquer that. And it's intimidating to look at.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Intimidating.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
So there's so many people that's sitting on the signs,
and I know, Dad, you don't want to sit on
the sides. You want to be in the action so
and it's it's more intimidating than it.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Actually, Oh absolutely, so absolutely.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
I know people like spinning that might hurt my stomach
or whatever. Actually for me, I don't feel the spin
hardly at all on that ride.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
In fact, I forget it spinning all together. So I mean,
you're growing upside down, but it's so smooth and it's
just I don't know, I love it. It's my all
time favorite and local entire park. So yeah, So dads,
if you have a daughter, maybe they're like me and
they really enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
So I definitely at number four for for sure.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Spin cycle number four yeap number three we have aftershot,
which it probably could be higher just based off of
that whole intimidation thing.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
It is the big bad ride in all the park.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, but we felt like there was better options potentially
all the dads.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah, but after shocks one that maybe mom might not
be too savvy on going on, you know. So I'm
not speaking for all moms out there, but so maybe
dad has always kind of wanted to go on it
never gotten a chance to. Well this weekend after shock, Yeah,
Weather's going to be great.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Weather's great. After shock does have some weather restrictions. It
has to be above sixty five degrees and the wind
cannot be blowing too hard up at the very top.
So that's why the main reason it's down when you
come to the park is because of that temperature, but
also the wind. The wind plays a big factor for
those sensors, and it's more of a safety feature than anything.

(23:30):
It doesn't mean it's broken down, and it means it's
being safe.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
It means keep track, you know, maybe not too early
in the morning, don't go their first thing because it
might still be a little too cold out. Not too
late in the afternoon when those winds pick up, so you
kind of want to hit that sweet spot, yeah, right in.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Between right and you'll start to see you'll hear that
big like the horn, and that's when you know it's
starting to go and you'll start to see them test it.
And so they do some testing where it goes up
the tower and then goes down and goes back up
the tower, and they jog it back up and forth,
and that's the time to start to head over that
way and get in line to ride after shock.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
And that's that's like badge worthy, Yes, for sure. It
really is.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
Yeah, it's the tallest rollercoaster in the Pacific Northwest, and
it's the only one of it's kind of the Northwest
and the whole continent, yeah, North America.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
So yeah, come try our Boomerang. Yeah, yeah, it's a
lot of fun. Number two I think is a little
bit of a surprise.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yeah, because number two is Tilt to Whirl.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
But I mean it's back those classic how many dads
wrote Tilt to Whirl, you know, back in the day
when they went to the carnival or to the fair whatnot, when.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
They were kids. Right, let's see if you can still
do it.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Yeah, it's another spin ride, which I know a lot
of people maybe can't handle, but yeah, I think dad
with three kids in there makes for a great ride totally.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
And the kids are going to make fun of you
forever if you throw up, so you know, there's that challenge,
but there's a memory.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
It's going to last a lifetime.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Yeah, And I think honorable mention for this would be
we talked about Scrambler and even potentially super round Up
because they're all the kind of the spinny rides in
the same genre, carnival type rides, So all those could
have fit into number two.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Yeah, we love nostalgia when it comes to dad, so
and we know Dad's love nostalgia.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
So that's a really good one.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
And good luck number one. Everyone should have been.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Okay, let's do that.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
We messed that up.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Drum roll at number one. That's a long drum law.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Deliver some anticipation for sure. Tremors, Yes, it has to be.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
It has to be tremors. It's just that you get
the photo with your kiddo. It's it could be their
first roller coaster ride. It's brand new this year, super smooth,
oh so smooth. So it's you have to experience it period.
I mean, that's really all there is to it.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
For sure, and especially guys like if you've grown up
with the park at all, you've experienced it back in
the late night early two thousands, and now it's time
to re experience it with your kids. It's the perfect
ride for that because you do get the photo. You
can get the photo at the purchase it. We didn't
include stump Pilot on this list. We could have, but

(26:13):
the only reason why we didn't have stump pilot is
because you ride by yourself this one.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
You still get that photo.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
One of my favorite is memories of all time is
writing Stump Pilot with my daughter.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
But I couldn't see her.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Face the whole time exactly, and so I have a
lot of good memories with with her on Tremors, and
so that's where Tremors takes the number one spot.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
I don't think people will argue with that.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
I don't think so either.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
It's Father's Day, so yeah, dad, if you want to
go ride stunt Pilot, definitely ride stump Pilot for sure.
But we think in terms of a family oriented kind
of situation, Tremors is where it's at. So those are
our top five rides in the theme of the dry park.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
So let's move over to the water park.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Boulder Beach rides starting at number five.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Number five is the wavepool.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
The wavepool.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Wave pool. Love the way it's a splash in waves.
What can go wrong with.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
You? No, just stay in there, get all wrinkly with
the water and have a great time and surf those waves.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Yeah, and even just sitting on your lounge chair right
there and almost like pretending you're at the ocean.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
That's always fantastic. Yeah, that's included in this old thing. Yeah,
pretend like you're just sitting on the beach.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
And I was there this last weekend. I can't even
tell you the amount of dads with their like little
girls with their water wings and on their shoulders, and
it's just it's such a neat little experience.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
And there's two of them. Yeah, there's two of them.
So that's that's because it's so popular, we just put
two in. The second one, the North one. We talked
about this in an episode less but that doesn't open
until I hit a certain attendance number. So some of
you might become as like, why is that one not open?
That's why and so but when it is open, Uh,

(27:56):
I really enjoyed the North one better, to be honest,
I think that one. I just like the scenery around it.
It's a little more secluded, not as me. People are
in it. So north Way Pool is where it's at.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Yeah, and a few more lawn chairs over there too
as well laune chairs. So that's a good little tip. Okay,
So from the Way Pool where at number four.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Number four, we're going to go over to Avalanche Mountain.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Yes, I mean this is family fun. If you've got
a lot of kids, you want to get the whole
family on one ride.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Avalanche Mountains is where it's at.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Yeah, absolutely so, and another place that I've seen a
lot of great pictures of dad holding on for jair life.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
I've ridden that ride with a number of dads, yeah,
because I was filming for marketing or whatever. And it
never gets old to see the dad's face and the
kids all having a time and like getting to the
bottom and they're.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Like, we did it, y, yes, we conquered it. To
conquer the.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Mountain only you know. So that one's by far. Yeah,
I love that.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
It's one of my favorite rides in the whole park.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
The views from up there too, it is there's a
view from the park of the park that you can't see, and.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
That's that's one of the ones.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
If you're going to the water park first, I would
try to go to probably first or second, depending on
where you go, because number three is Eagle Hunt, so
that would be the first or second as well.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Absolutely, And this one you can compete if you've got
enough people in your family or you and just one
can compete against the other two. And competition is always
fun for dads, right, Dads love competition, and it's Eagle hunt.
It's number one USA Today Best of Readers pull Watercoaster
in the Country. Watercoaster in the Country, which is a
big deal, especially because we've only had it for a year,

(29:30):
so it's only going to get.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Better, right right right? Ye?

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah, And I can't wait to take my dad on it.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
It's a blast and actually is the only reason why
this probably wasn't higher on the list is because the
other two are just quit essential dad, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
The competition factor. You have to have two people, so
that plays also a factor in this, is you have
to have two people and you have the other end
you can play, so you have four people totally going
down this thing.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
But it is such a great ride and just all
of the twists and turns and the water and you
just get drenched.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
And if you love fishing, I mean it's you're basically
like an eagle hunting fish. So it's it's really neat
and you're flying through the forest inside those tubes and
how often do you get to go upwards?

Speaker 4 (30:23):
You know?

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Yeah? Right, I know, that's what's this one. There are
four blast areas.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Yeah, and the water's coming from a whole different direction,
yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
In fact, so you're gonna get wet.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
You get drenched on this one.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Definitely gonna get wet.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
But it is a ton of fun and we've had
nothing but glowing reviews of everybody that rides. It's so
fun to sit at the bottom and just watch people
come off it because they're just smiles are so big
on their.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Face and the racing factor. So everyone's you know, in
this like mad competition. So it's great.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Quick tip.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Quick tip.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
I've analyzed and watched it a lot this week. If
you want to win, if you want to win in
try to get on lane two. Really lane two.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I've seen why the kids that I was racing this
weekend wanted lane.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
To lane two. I've seen win more than lane one.
I don't know why because it'd be the exact same,
but it just seems to work out that.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Way sometimes because I will say myself and my friend Ashley,
we did beat the boys that we were racing.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
You're in lane one. Okay.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
So it's not every time, but I would say probably
four out of the five times I saw lane two winning.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Okay. So there's your tip you can try out.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
If you're a mom listening to this and dad's not
listening to this, tell him lane one and then then
beat him.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Actually a really great idea, your dad's you know, now
you not the tip the tip lane to exactly. Okay, okay,
we're number two, number two, number two, very similar in
terms of the racing factor. But a rip racer, Jordan,
I know you've got some good tips on how to
get down that a little faster.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Yeah, I can.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Share them well if you well, I do have.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
But at the same time, go listen to our Bulder
Beach episode with Danny because she that's her favorite ride
and she knows how to get like a sub eight
second time, which is insane.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
It is very fast.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Yeah, but the competition factor, it's so much fun. The
one tip, little hint that I have is make sure
you pull up with like your your wrists on the
front of the mat that you're writing so that it's
not like dragging the water and ride on your elbows.
As little contact on the slide as possible. It is
going to get you down that thing faster.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
You're going to float basically more.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Try But because I've seen a lot of people like
they just plow through the water and they don't pull that.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
The tip it into a toboggan.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Pull the tip up, because that if you can't, if
you're just listening, I'm like demonstrating here with my hands,
pull the tip up, and you won't plow through that
water because I know a lot of people talk about
the water getting there face yeah and so, and.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Then you're blind and you can't go exactly, but you
can raise the whole family.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
How many lanes are there?

Speaker 4 (33:05):
There are six lanes, six lanes, so you got everybody
six yeah, and else someone.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Else exactly, so ript eight racer and we want to
know who wins. So yeah, yeah, take those tips into consideration.
But I want to know what number one is?

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Number one?

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Number one. I need a drum roll. Number one ride at.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Boulder Beaches, the Lazy River.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah, because Dad, you're lazy.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Oh wow, Wow, they're.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
Lazy chairs and they love their naps.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
And very stereotypical.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Wow. Sorry Dad, I might be talking okay, but yeah,
Dad loves to relax.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
It's fun to relax. You need to relax, you do
after so.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Much work that has happened to get here exactly.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
I mean, you mowed the lawn today this morning, before
you even went to Silverwood.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I mean, think about it.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Yeah, well you did a lot of things. My wife's
going our lawn today.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Oh well yeah, okay, I'm going to edge when we
got home.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
So Jordan is proved by point right now as to
why the docks to enjoy lazy river.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
And there's the swim up little.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Bar, I think is what pushes this over the top.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah for sure. Yeah, you get to lounge on and
just sip, just sip and.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Lounge and sip and keep going around. And we filmed
a commercial a couple weeks ago for Father's Day. We
get it's plane right now, but we found two dads
and they just floated and had the best time of
their life.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
You guys found the perfect Yeah, that commercially did.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
And then they were just standing there. We're like, how
about those guys? They perfect? It was perfect.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
He can pick odds out of a crowd.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
No, no, no, honorable mention. I just thought of probably
be my father in law's favorite ride.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Would be the speed slides.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Oh okay, and the speed slides not just the straight
drop or the covered one. It's the one that kind
of they call it like has like the caterpillar humps
whatever down because he just tries to go as far
down thing as possible.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
So interesting, that would be probably five. B okay, bye
bee bybee.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Take additional Yeah, totally And if you love something, you
feel like we've missed obviously right in.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
A podcasters, what's your.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Top five top?

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Okay, so we've covered rides.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Rides are covered into food, food, food.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
I love food, Dads love food.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Dads love food.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Food and be actually.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Yes, and snacks, anything in the.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Park, anything that goes into your mouth and you eat.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Of course, this was hard.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
This was hard because Dad's there's a lot of there's
a lot of options, not gonna lie, but we know
that typical dads love all the meats.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
All the bruises, all the sweets, all the sweets.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Great, So that is what we have.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
That's true, we have, right, So coming in at number.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Five, this this is all encompassing one. This is Lindy's
just in general, which I think there's an argument to
have this higher for sure, but number five at Lindy's
because they have the Wranguler. We just couldn't choose one, right,
I think that's hard. Favorite is that regular burger. You
have the Lindy's Burger, you have the Saint Louis. You

(36:05):
have the ribs you have, my wife said. My wife
said the spaghetti. It was the best baghetti she's ever had.
So take that for what.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
We'll say this food and Lindy's.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
I mean, it's always good, but this season I feel
like something's been taken up, even an extra notch.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
It's dullishous, it's very good. And they have a full
bar full bar there. Huckleberry lemon drop martini.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
That's like huckleberry lemon drop. Lemon drop is hyphenated, right.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Lemon drop. Yeah, I think it's one word.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Okay, well, lemon drop martini. So three words words three
three and a half words. Yeah, we'll say three and
half works drop martini. That's where you need to have
a different.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Special every day too.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
For the drinks, picho something with like your little Peccio's.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
It looked I do like incredible.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Yeah, so lots of sweet drinks for that too.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
I'm actually kind of a peach o ring snob.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Oh are you? Oh, well, then you should have tried one.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Well, I'm sure you know what's funny is so we
the best peach rings.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
You know where to find them?

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Where this is? This is in my opinion, this is
not silver Woods opinion. In my opinion, circle K gas stations,
the Circle brand, the Circle br K brand. Peacho's are
the plumpest, juicious, juiciest, best feat rings in Whenever we're
driving over to Western Washington stuff, we always make sure

(37:27):
we stop in Ellensburg, CIRCLECA.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Totally. Okay, okay, well that's insight.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
You might want to let silver but no, so the
next time they make those peaco maybe whatever they were, yeah, okay, okay.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Five Lindy number four is a signature scoop ice cream.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
That's ad and explain Jordan what a signature.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Signature scoop used to be called our single scoop, but
really it was five scoops. So we used to really
only have one scoop option and it was five scoops.
And ice cream is a lot of ice cream. It's
worthy Dad worthy ice cream.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
And you can get different flavors.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
Different flavors. My favorite is the Moose tracks Huckleberry mint.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Okay, that is the three that good combo.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Though I think some people are like, wait, huckleberry and mint,
does that really go together?

Speaker 2 (38:15):
It does?

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Absolutely, It's really good. Yeah, that's a good comb.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Especially when you throw in like the peanut butter cup
and all that.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
It's just a it's a mix that is perfect for
a hot day, and.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
I need to go have one right now. I'll be back.
I'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
He's swooning over his imagination. So yes, over at the
ice creamer.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
And then number three, we're going to go to Northern
Flights in the water Park.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I mean, dad's dad live beer, right, lots of dads,
you know, Yeah, but you're more of a huckleberry lemon
draw martini guys. So we've covered both. We've covered both,
so for our dads who don't like their martinis. We
got flights of beer.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Well, also slushies if you don't want.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Slushies so and non alcoholic.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Non alcoholic version as well.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
But this is over by in the new Emerald Forest
expansion last year by Eagle Hunt, so it's very unique
to the park.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
There's nowhere else we can get flights of anything.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
So, and we've got some great beer.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Choice local, a lot of local options.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
We have a creamsicle one. It tastes like a creamsicle, So.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Even if you're not a beer guy and you want
to try the creamsicle beer, it tastes like a creamsicle. Yeah,
it's really really good. So I'm open beer, okay, and
coming in at number one.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Number two actually because that.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Was number three, you can count. I'm good at math.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Number two is the chuck Wagon all you can eat barbecue.
That could there's a case to be made for number
one with that.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah, because but you can get number one there, No,
you can't. You can't, Okay, okay, so that's my number
one is separate. Okay. You got the pulled pork.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
You got the the hot dogs, you got the mac
and cheese, you got the watermelon.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
If you want, you can get a salad.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Can I just say I was in the kitchen yesterday
watching Oh it's unbelievable. So I don't know if you
all know, but when we go by, like on the train,
you can see them actually chopping firewood and smoking and
grilling the meat. It's it's insane. But watching them make
all the cheese, the mac and cheese.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
So good, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Yeah, so Dad, you're gonna appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
The meat, my favorite go to is.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Macaraine cheese, cut up the hot dogs like when you're
a kid, and put pole pork on top of that.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Oh my God makes it all together.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
So it is good you told me this until now.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
You don't pay attention to when I meat in there
because I do it every time time we did it.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Okay, well I know I'm gonna have to give it
a short Dad, I'll bring you there, okay.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Perfect, all right?

Speaker 4 (40:33):
And number one food best food for Dad.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Dad worthy food is the turkey.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
Because one guy doesn't love running around with his like
full on caveman turkey leg. It's like Fred Flintstone style.
It's huge, so big, and it's delicious. It is delicious.
I mean we all dug into one preseason. Just yeah,
it's the best. And where do you get that to you?

Speaker 2 (41:00):
And have?

Speaker 4 (41:00):
You can get that at Rapids Grill and you can
get that at Country Burycue.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
So go get your flight of beer, get your caveman
turkey leg, and now you're ready and you are ready
for anything in the park.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
Yeah yeah, let us know what we miss and please
take some pictures of tag him, Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Yes. So those are some pretty good lists.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Those are some pretty good lists.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
You've got some special Jordan hidden gems, yes, okay.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
So this is the super secret Hidden Gems list. It's
not not all of them are super secret. But this is,
in my opinion, not riding, not food. This is dad worthy.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Yeah, and he's dad.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Number five is Midway Games.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Okay, so we.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
Got three point shootout, which is kind of around the corner.
You got any of these more competitions, the great Race,
great thing to put your family up against, Spiromania, all
that stuff comes into the Midway Games, and I think
that is a perfect place for Dad and the family
to win a prize because when you look at all
those like, you know, kind of more nostalgic movies, Who's

(42:03):
winning the prize?

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Dad, Dad's winning the prize, so.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Needs to win the prize. Does Dad get to keep it?

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Dad does not get to keep it ever, Okay.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Yeah, I kind of figured maybe this is the year
you let Dad keep them. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
Number four is the train ride. Absolutely, the train ride
is number four. And this is kind of a ride,
but we were with the Inlander and he had never
ridden the train before, and so it is so much
more than just a train ride.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
And Dad's love trains, yes, but means they love robberies.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
And if you want Dad to be part of the
act show, there you go sit them in the open
train car number four and just maybe, just maybe they'll
be apart. Yes, and if if mom is listening, if
Mom is listening and Dad's not listening, try to get
Range of Rosie to put a little yellow bandana on
Dad and be a part of the show.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Because the kids are going to love it. It's they
can't they're gonna love it. So it's little Dad because
he'll get to say he was a robber day well.

Speaker 4 (43:05):
And so one of my favorite memories of my dad
on that run on the train ride was way back
in the day, and there was a moment where he
was pulled off the train. Actually he was pulled to
the back of the train and he had to get
in costume and it was like this whole little bit,
oh my god, and they dressed it up in a
woman's costume and had an address and he said.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
Oh no, think of the children like that. He had
to say it and like his best bloby boys and
they looked over like that was the uglest woman I've
ever seen. It was just so funny.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Everybody laughed, but you had to get someone who's into it.
And so that's kind of the same thing with.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
This perfect yes, Okay, I love the memory. Yeah, yeah,
at the train provides great memories.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Number three it's similar to number five in Midway, but
it is the arcade. Oh yeah, the arcade. If you
haven't been in the arcade, it is a little hidden gem.
And especially if you're like a pinball head, you love
the pinball machine nostalgia. We have I don't know how many,
but we have a lot of classic We have Indiana Joan.
We have some of these really nice vintage pinball machines

(44:03):
and some newer ones as well. And if my favorite
go in there, you want to play NBA jam.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
All day long. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
I don't know all that's in there right now, but
you'll find some classics.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
And I know a lot of dads that have brought
their kids there and have ended up spending like pretty
much their whole silver Wood time in that arcade.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
So it's a great place to take the kids. And
when maybe another prize Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (44:28):
Number two, okay, phantasm the magic show. You just can't
beat it with. Definitely sit inside, grab a pizza and enjoy.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
A world class magic show.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
It really is.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
Everybody's minds are blown. They when they've never seen it before.
They're like, oh, it's just a magie show at theme park. No,
it's a magic show that is worthy of Vegas.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
It really is. And now it's circus themed. And so
we've got you know things everywhere. We've got women in
the sky, and we've.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
Got they're also called as acrobat.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
I mean there's one that floats.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
That's true. Yeah, taps and number one.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Okay, number one, number one dad worthy spot in the
park that's.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Off food and right, well.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
It is the water cannons.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yes, and my dad would agree.

Speaker 4 (45:15):
Water cannons at log Flu, the water cannons to soak
the people on Boulder Beach, and the water cannons at
Thunder Canyon because who doesn't love to surprise someone with
a splash of water in their face when they think
they've made it past.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
Yeah, the waters that bumper boats? Did I say some?
You said Boulder Beach?

Speaker 4 (45:31):
Sorry water bumper boat double it's hard, Yeah, bumper boats.
Water cannons, that would be I'd be really cool to
have cannons at Bowl with the beach though, I water,
I got it. There is water cannons at Polywog Park.
Those ones there you go, now we have them all.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
You weren't, but we should get some on the Lazy River.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
That would be really fun.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
But yeah, I know that my dad. That's what he
wants to do completely next time he comes here. So
that really is a dad worthy thing, just to have.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
The stack of change that you have quarters and get ready.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
For that and you can make a day off of it.

Speaker 4 (46:07):
But you know, you know what else is so Dad,
it's dad jokes, and I have a little game for
us to play.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
We're gonna we're gonna be gonna have to be quick.
But I have underneath chair.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
Oh he's pulling out the magic hat.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
Okay, I have in this. I didn't make these.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
We got these from didn't producer and producer Amanda, Yes.

Speaker 4 (46:28):
They made these. So we're going to do They are
just dad jokes in a hat. Gonna we're going to
each Take five. Okay, so take five.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
I'm moving my microphone fork.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Take five.

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Well, you can't really see they're folded. That's one. I
have two, three, I think that's four. Five, Okay, we
have five. We have five dad jokes. Here's the game.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Okay, don't laugh. So the game is joke. I will
raid you the joke and if you laugh, I get
a point or you lose a point. What if I'm
laughing already, Well, then this is gonna be really easy.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Okay, so you can go into the negatives here.

Speaker 4 (47:12):
You know you can't know. Let's if you just laugh
at the joke, you lose a point. We start with
five points.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
We start with five points.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
We'll start with five points. I actually only.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Grab before, so here is no two three okay, so okay, okay,
Dad goes first, It goes first.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
Ready, Well, from now on, no no laughing at all
at all, neither person, either person, not even or receiving it.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
If these don't go, well, it's gonna be kind of
bad audio.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
But okay, here we go, no laughing. What's the difference
between a hippo and a zippo? What one is very
heavy and the other is a little lighter.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
That's actually a good one. We both loved the boy. Okay,
no laughing, laughing, no laughing.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Okay, six point thirty is my favorite time of day,
hands down, I don't get it.

Speaker 4 (48:15):
Hands down is six thirty? Pick the hands on a cloth? Okay, No,
we don't really use analog clocks.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
Yeah, yeah, so Dad, you'd probably not go very far
with that one. Okay, okay, okay, no laughing, Okay, you
started to laugh just then.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
I well, I finally just got it. Okay, okay, okay.
What does a pirate say when he's eighty?

Speaker 2 (48:38):
What I'm eighty?

Speaker 1 (48:46):
Even our producers are laughing right now.

Speaker 5 (48:47):
Jordie's your kid.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
He didn't laugh though, he didn't laugh, Okay, I lose
the point.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Okay, you lost the point.

Speaker 3 (48:58):
You're holding your breath. He was legitimate holding his breath. Okay, okay, okay, okay,
my dad joke got an email the other day showing
me how to read maps backwards. Turns out it was
just spam.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
I don't get that money.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
That's okay, Okay, I'm gonna laugh because you don't get it.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
What's maps backwards?

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Oh? Okay?

Speaker 3 (49:30):
Can you assume it on Jordan's face right now for
the YouTube because it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
I'm just trying that laugh. Okay, Okay.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
I don't want you to pass out over there either,
because you're holding your breath though. Oh he's got the
stealthy in his face.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
What's black and bad for your teeth? What a bowling ball? Okay,
too easy, it's too easy, too easy, you're up?

Speaker 1 (49:53):
Okay, okay, Well, my dad bowls and so I'm just
funny memories right there.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
Okay, okay, So how many you laughed every time?

Speaker 1 (50:01):
So there was one?

Speaker 2 (50:02):
I didn't one?

Speaker 1 (50:04):
Okay? How do you fix a broken pizza? Don tomato paste?
Silence the silence? Hey, we both did good on that one.

Speaker 4 (50:17):
How do you organize a space party? How you plan it?

Speaker 1 (50:23):
Getting better?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Better?

Speaker 1 (50:25):
Pirate again?

Speaker 2 (50:26):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (50:26):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Yeah that one?

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Okay? Okay, okay, Oh wait, before I even read it?

Speaker 2 (50:36):
Is that? Okay?

Speaker 1 (50:37):
I have ever read it yet?

Speaker 2 (50:37):
Technically no, but okay, okay, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Three guys walked into a bar. You'd think one of
them would have seen it.

Speaker 4 (50:45):
You would think you would. You would think you would think,
I'm I run into things all the time. I only
know twenty five letters of the alphabet. I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Are there's twenty six letters in the eyes.

Speaker 4 (51:02):
Makes it makes it really hard when the jokes don't land.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Do you get that there's twenty six letters?

Speaker 1 (51:08):
I thought there were twenty.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Why is one of them?

Speaker 1 (51:11):
But I thought there were twenty.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
I don't know why the why letter? Okay, but moving on,
moving on.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
It's my turn. This is very dad. This is perfect.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
I love my furniture, my recliner and I we go
way back.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
It's a great one.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
It is a great one.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Okay, this is my last one?

Speaker 1 (51:35):
Was that five? One, two, three? Yeah? I got that
was five for me?

Speaker 2 (51:38):
I think did I do five? I must have started
with VI. We're gonna do six? Here it comes.

Speaker 4 (51:42):
I gave up my seat on the bus to blind
to a blind lady, and that's how I lost my
job as a bus driver. You're just gonna mind base things.
That's dad jokes.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Oh gosh, feel free to use them all weekend long.
