to rush through this one today. We're just going to
(00:34):
take out some of the meat so we can get
straight to our guests because, uh, we went from coasters
to water slides, and this week's guest, Kelly and Jose
braved literally everything.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Truly.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
We're gonna find out just a few minutes when we
sit down with the Emmy Award winning stars of Local
Lens Seattle and talk about their recent episode that they

to build up for the two months.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Wait, I feeling you're gonna do just fund Yeah. Yeah,
so everybody welcome, Kelly Hansen and Jose Sid Did I
do it perfect?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
It was all that Spanish on my way to like
good job.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
I've been learning on like the babble.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, because because she took a trip to Guatemala, yeah
back in March March, so she crammed and learned a
little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
So she just went there to practice the.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I can't roll, I can't at all ice cream instead.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Okay, yes, we know Jordan kidding it to my ice cream.
So you guys, are you have a very cool show
called Seattle Local Lens or is it Local Lens?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Local Local?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Okay, I don't want to get that mixed up, but
tell us a little bit about yourselves and how you
got to this point that you're so big time you're
on the Silverwood Show podcast.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
I think you want to go first, right?
Speaker 3 (02:23):
No, I mean I can. Why not? Okay? So I
have worked at King five, the NBC affiliate in Seattle
for over thirteen years, started Local Lens Seattle in twenty
seventeen and just really felt like there was a market
for a YouTube digital first show at King and the
(02:47):
tagline is a guide to the city you love. So
it's all about really experiencing something and it's supposed to
be fun and joyful and make people laugh. Definitely quirky,
and you know, I've been having a lot of fun
and running around town. I'm a local to Seattle and
so it's always fun to find hidden gems. But I
felt like there was something missing. I needed, you know,
(03:09):
some banter, some fun.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Maybe something extreme.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
And that's where my my new co host came in.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah, so I have kind of like a same programming background.
I work for NBC affiliate as well, but I work
for Evening Magazine former Evening Magazine now Evening Magazine, which
is the longest running local programming show in the country.
So it's been around the Northwest for a long time
and we do a lot of happy stories. So then
obviously I've been following Kelly and Local Lens because it's
(03:43):
part of the same family. So we kind of critique
our stuff and she she knows my show too, so
it almost kind of like we should do something together.
I did collab in the past with you, Yeah, we have.
She invited me one time, and we're doing this like
typical normal like both things and she's and she's like
enjoying it and she I guess she doesn't remember that
my nickname was Extreme was and I'm like, I need
(04:04):
to do something here.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
So I ended up.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Dumping her in the water and then she stopped inviting
me to collapse.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
I did.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I need a couple of years and then I.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Was like, oh, yeah, what water was that? Was that? Like?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Deep?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Deep water? Deep?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
I mean, if you want to see the videos out there,
so okay, well yeah, especially our big boss told us like,
you guys do so much cool stuff and you know
why you guys don't.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Come to it, and we're friends, so it's kind of
like why we don't do it?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
And then I believe it or not, this was the
first one we did together.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
You guys are yeah, so you know this was the
first one. So it was kind of super cool.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
They were like, yeah, this is our first trip to
again and it was amazing. Why don't you let people
know where they can watch that silver Wood episode?
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Go to Local Len Seattle's YouTube page, follow us on
social media as well, and you can also go to
King Five's YouTube page as well, and we have a
playlist there so you can't miss it if you just
search did Kelly pass out on.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah, we still don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, we might.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
We might never know.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Well, let me break it down to you.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
I've been reporting for years and my investigation report is
very heavy, and now I'm going to go with that.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yes, she did pass out.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
I mean you were sitting next to her. Yeah, Like
the videos, it seems conclusive. I don't know if people
have seen the movie The Ring, but like, yes.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Oh my god, you know, yeah, you guys. I don't
know what I was thinking before that. She was like,
I curled my hair. I was really like, okay, let's
do it. It's the first video with Jose It's gonna
be great.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Oh my god, slash.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Yeah, I apologize to you today for literally doing nothing.
I came from the water.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Parks, obviously a coaster pro for sure.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Now that she learned for today.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, what people might just appreciate someone very authentic and real.
That is just happen. We're just trying to survive on aftershock.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
You try to survive, and you did and I did. Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean, what a great segue into what I'd like
to talk about, and that's that whole dry park experience.
Let's do a little dry park debriefing of sorts. What
do you think?
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, go back about a month a time.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, let's remember those moments. Don't cry, Kelly, I know,
but I remember. What did you kind of expect coming
into silver Wood and what totally surprised you?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
For me?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, both of you.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
And this is real.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Like for me, I was shocked how cool the roller
coasters were, Like I still talk about it, and we
were talking like my friends are like shut up, like
du should go check it out. No, it was like
I was not expecting the roll coaster. We're going to
be that fast and gnarly, you know, like people told
me about it.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
I'm like, I mean, I've been in a lot of
roller coasters and this is extreme hoses.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
For fun.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
They dropped me out of a plane. This is not
going to be a big deal. But then I got here.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I'm like I always wear hats, right, And then the
first thing, everybody's like, take off your hat, so I
don't worry.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I got to really tied. It's like no, no, take
off your hats. It's like, okay, rules are rules. And
then I took off. I'm like Jesus, So I was like, wow,
that was for me a shower for real, like that
was it.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yeah. I keep calling this place the Pacific Northwest Disneyland.
I think I'm just shocked. It has such a family
feel but also so big. There's so many attractions. The
roller coasters are so extreme. Like you said the water park.
I mean, I know you're reading about it like it's
the biggest you know, theme park water park in the
(07:56):
Pacific Northwest. But just to have the interactive like train
ride on like shows like rides, the food is incredible,
the all Beyonce, the people, It's just I keep telling
everybody and same, I'm annoying, Like when people are complaining
like Disneyland is so expensive or you know, we can't
afford to go there this, I'm like, well, for less
(08:17):
than a five hour drive, you could go to Silverwood
the Pacific Northwest like Disneyland.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
It's almost like my my friend will come and it's like, hey, bro,
I can make it tonight to the baseball game because
I couldn't find a babysitter take it to some.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
No.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
But it really was so so much fun and I knew.
I mean, I thought, like, oh, I have an iron stomach,
I'm going to be totally. I was talking a really
big game about roller coasters before we came because I
went to the Pualltte Fair with a co worker and
she was terrified of this wooden roller coaster there. She
passed out and I'm like, oh, it was so funny
(08:56):
all this stuff. Never would I have anticipating.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
I love how she is making this conversation and like, yeah,
you know, my friend passed out when we came here.
The first thing, while we like walking to meet you guys. Yeah,
she was telling me like, you got to check this video.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Oh she passed out. I'm like, and she did leg
pass out and then she's making fun of her life.
I do believe how she passed out. She knew what's coming. Karma.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yeah, that narrator in my life was like Kelly Hanson, exactly,
here we go. But it was worth it. You guys,
would you say then.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
That after shock, was there a certain ride that maybe
surprised you the most, whether it was more scary, more extreme,
or even smoother than you thought it would be.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Tremors today really surprised me how smooth it was, and
I mean the geez on that like you were going
so fast it felt like a jet, but you know,
but I was just sitting there like still, Like I
wasn't getting rocked like I'm used to with the other
old wooden roller coasters where you feel like you need
to go see a chiropractor.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
After you're done.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
That was so smooth. I was relaxed. But I've never
And then the water roller coaster today that was the
I've never anything like that, Like that was wild for.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Me, definitely, like after shock, just because like I think
it's probably the first roller coaster that I go. First
of the I'm hanging yea, yeah, you know what's coming,
and you're like, Okay, it's coming.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I mean, then it just drops you. And then going backwards,
you know, so it's like, oh my gosh, so we're
going to go through the whole process. Yeah. Watching the
video over, it's like they get halfway through and Kelly's
heads down, what's going on? Like, yeah, backwards do the
same thing, but backwards. Yeah. And then the first wooden
(10:45):
roller coaster, what was it?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
The funny thing is because I'd done wooden roller coasters
in the past and I kind of expect that, you know,
kind of slow bumping ride, and that was the first
roller coaster that is like wood and I'm like, whoa am?
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I Like, it was like it's way faster than what
I ever imagine. Yeah, that's had a lot of track
work too. But one story was when we got off
of after Shock, I was riding behind that I was like, man,
Kelly was screaming the whole time. He's like.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
I was screaming, but I was just low, like I
almost lost my voice, like seriously, like.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
I was like, man, I editing that video, Like there
are some YouTube videos where you're just editing and you
kind of never want the edit to stop because you're
having so much fun and editing. This first one was
definitely that for me. Like I was just sitting there
howling at my desk and I felt like everyone around
me is like what are you doing.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
I'm like, I'm still editing, And we obviously edited in
the story, but then we keep seeing the background and
we can see is like my man.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Happy.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Even like the one the Tilted.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
World, you didn't go on that one, and it does
look like something like the one from UC them that
it's like the coffee cup, yeah, tea cups. Yeah, so
that's what it looks like, but you made it very
way out there.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
We knew how to work this.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Watching you guys do that one.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah, it was, but at one point I thought we
almost looked like little kids.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Like little kids very much.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
So what was your favorite that that day, that video,
that first video? What would you say was your most
memorable favorite.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Fun like favorite rye, oh, favorite part of the day, just.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Favorite part of the day, just like what stands out
the most is the funnest part of Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
I mean I did have fun. We went we went
end up with the kids. Yeah, we have a birthday girl. Yeah, yeah,
it was because it's cute.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
You can see how how they were having a black
you know, and then they were like, oh we're going
to be in video.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
And then and then I don't know, they were just
screaming and like we were like where we are not
getting wet, and they're they're just getting splashy and just
having a blast, and it's kind of like, oh my god,
like it.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I guess what I want to say is that you
come here and you see a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Having fun, I know, and making memories. I totally agree.
It's the people that you meet that totally make it
and they end up being like characters and mini co
hosts in your video, which is always so fun seeing
your video, you know, you never know what you're going
to get. And then log Flume was so fun and
interesting because I don't know, just editing that together, we
(13:36):
thought we had like dodged a bull. We were going
to get wet, yeah, and then we got sprayed up yes,
and just all angles that everyone got that on film
was so incredible. And this is going to sound cheesy,
but like meeting you guys, this has been such a
fun experience. You guys are just so authentic and genuine
and it really does feel like we're just getting to
(13:56):
hang out all day and have a good time and
lifted in the video, which makes it.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Successful because we were like kind of counting down the
days for you guys to come back. You know, we're
like Friday, Friday, Friday, And even in the video we're like, oh,
you know whatever, because you're like, oh, we really want
you guys to like the video because we had a blast.
And then and like like you said, we feel like
we made friends.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
You guys were howling editing it. We were howling when
we were watching.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
It was like something and I'm like, oh, I wish
I could see someone's face, you know, when they first
get to.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Like watch it. We'll record it next time, honestly, and
then we won't laugh the whole time and real and
you guys, so I didn't pass out this time, I know. Okay.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
So to wrap up the dry Park I have a
fun question, of course, So if each of you were
a silver Wood ride so dry Park ride, which one
would you be? And why?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Like forever like oh?
Speaker 3 (15:03):
As a personality, Yes, I'm gonna say after shock, because
it surprises you. It's zero to sixty real quick. Yeah,
I can get a little spicy, real real quick.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
She's talking about talking about me, you're talking.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, I think she just nailed it.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
She nailed it. You can't take.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Now. I can't say after you for different reasons.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
After shock because it goes up and down for wear
and backwards. Yeah, it's like you just don't know what's
going to happen. Okay. Yeah, and that sounds like Kelly. No,
that sounds like me, I guess. Instead of instead of
(15:51):
you coming up for yourself, how about you come up
for one for Kelly and Kelly comes out for one
for like Okay, all right, Yes, what's the name of that.
You do you want me to go first about Kelly? Yes,
go ahead, Okay. Should I say something that you would
enjoy going to be like her personality? Okay, Kelly, can
(16:11):
you cover yours?
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Well?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
I know she really enjoy the very slow car thing
or the antique car. Yeah, I'm not calling you antique,
but not at all, not at all.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
She just looks like the nice knowing you.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
She was just.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Chilling there in the car and she was like taking
her time, and I'm like, you want.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
No one has ever described me as I'll take it.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
It seemed like you were happy.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
I don't know because you were trying to escape the
big roller closest, but you were happy.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
No, no, no, what was the first one? That? What the
stunt pilot? I think you did like stun pilot?
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, And because you have the front seat. I never
got the front seat, but you got the back seat,
but I got the back.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Was okay, Kelly, gosh, trying to think of I know all.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
The ones we went on that got to be related
to me.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
I know, Well, okay, because you're so extreme, there's a
lot of twists and turns in your life, and it's
the one that both of you guys went on like
spinning what was that one the world? Because I feel
like you kind of telt the world on its axis,
like you jump out of planes. You do things that
are like out of the box. You color outside the lines.
(17:27):
You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
That was well done. Now hold on you guys. Don't
have to clap. Okay, go ahead, clap clap. I feel
like I fall in love with you, Kelly.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
If we brought them together, ye'll be here right in
this space.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
It's conser.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
We'll keep you posted. Yeah, want to move over to
bolder beach. We just got finished kind of.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Older beach breakdown all minds right, Okay, so.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Literally that's why Kelly and Jordan.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, you know if you notice.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Like somebody showered, somebody shower.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Somebody, you know, try to bring some fancy shoes and
you know, you guys have you know, decent uniforms, you know,
looking good and what do you have?
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Kelly, I'm going for the all Natural Love.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Today T shirt on top of her swimming suits.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
She's got it's got.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
That vacation like yeah, to be like relax your legs,
like Will should.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Be the first person to be This podcast on swimming suits. Yes, yeah,
you nail something.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, I am really sorry. I did not bring makeup.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
After this only for our YouTube in our parks.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
So you look like you had a great day. Yeah
yeah the son yeah definitely. So you guys obviously did both. Now,
so what would you say the energy difference was between
the Dry Park and Boulder Beach.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
I had a lot more like like nervous anxiety with
all the roller coasters because I didn't know what to like.
I felt like every time we're going, I'm like, what
this is a single roller coaster? This one's like going
upside down? Like this one's a roll like what after
shocks are going forward?
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Like I'm hanging well and four people that don't know
is like we just went to the front of the
line so you didn't get any time to like really
watch it or yeah, they're like what right are we on?
As they're getting ready and we moved.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
You through that and fastly, Like didn't want to look
up a bunch and like psych myself out or like no,
I I like going. That's another thing with local ones,
like I like going and really experiencing things so people
know you all don't roll out the red carpet for us,
like we really are just like coming here like anybody
else in experiencing what you would experience at the park.
So today was a lot more of just felt like,
(20:16):
oh my gosh, we're trying a bunch of food, we're
hanging out, we're enjoying the sun, we're going in the wavefool,
We're going in the lazy river with some drink, and
then we're going down like some like extreme you know,
like rides and fun family rides too. So I think
that I would just say, like, definitely have two days
if you can't, like I don't know, unless you have
like the most aggressive map of like okay, we're gonna
(20:38):
hit this my family would have done back in the day,
like Okay, we're gonna get there, We're gonna go here.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Have a game point.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, that could be like how quick can you hit
every ride? Yeah? Two parks? I make it before too.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
All depends on the day.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Two hours running. It's almost like the amazing race, you
just running from one to another.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
We could do an actual like race.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
We could wait once the park's completely empty, every ride
ready to do it?
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Go yeah and wonder how long it it takes.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
I don't know if you will call it experience. But
I had a jam making Me Crazy drink, which is
pretty strawberry. One yes, strawberry. Let me tell you.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
It's a mex of strawberry and a mix of pinacola.
And of course it's Jamaica and so house has wrong.
Jam On, you hit that puppy and the Lacy River
and you will be going and going. I remember because
before that we were all time. And then Jordan we
got on island quick just like.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Cruising was one like, what's going one more time?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
I did not get enough. Be let's go cruising. I
can see him like, it's time to hit the other rides,
is like, so we.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Know the energy difference for you.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
You went around the stream. That was you.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
I've never seen He's like you guys, let's just relax.
And we only lived once.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
We had because our like itinerary was like one thing
every half hour. Yeah, and I think we spent an hour.
I'm making friends in the river. Yeah people.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, excited to see that.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yet I can't send you tons of it because we
were there forever.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
You know what, We'll probably just need to do a
separate video on.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Just making Me crazy drink?
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Would you say that was then like your sleeper hit
in the like the thing that you didn't expect really.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Love as much.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Okay, you're enjoying the water park and is fun because
the rides are fun, but then you hit that drink.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
And then you're just sitting the laser river and then like, uh,
you kind of feel like you're in vocation, right, Like yeah,
it took me to a yeah, like I'm just in
like vac and I'm asking everybody like, hey, so what's
your love of laziness? Like even the kids, like yeah,
it's I was like, were all lazy here? Lazy lazy?
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Some people swimming like upstream in that and doing like
the butterfly stroke, and I'm like you go girl.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
But then that was cool. Then I saw a dad.
He claims that he was taking care of the floaters.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
For his kids.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Of course, so he's just like having like three of them,
which covers this whole body, and he has the gnarly
big side drink and showing your kids.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah, I've been around this tent time.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Know where my kids are, but I.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Got the floater.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
We are good to go. Kelly, what was your sleeper hit?
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Oh gosh, I knew I would love the lazy, right,
that can't be it. I think the first one Eagle Hunt,
I absolutely loved that. I didn't know what to expect
with a water coaster at all, going like in a
tube like it's so fun. It was in clothes, but
it wasn't scary because I hate going in those like
really dark tubes that just shoot you out. So that
(24:11):
was my one thing today going to everything, I'm like,
what is this?
Speaker 1 (24:15):
What is this?
Speaker 3 (24:16):
But instead, and I mean we got drenched.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
That was the thing.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
I don't know who was in the back? Okay, you
want to tell you who?
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Why do you want to bring this up?
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Because I know you're pretty sure who goes in the
front and who goes back?
Speaker 1 (24:36):
You really have to actually.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Didn't know because actually and I last weekend we're exactly
the same and we were arguing about so actually I
didn't know.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Okay, I can break it down to you.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Whoever wants to listen to this, yes, so they wait
you when you go, and whoever turns out to be
the heaviest goes in the back.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Actually, if you're listening right now, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
And the lightest goes in the front. So okay, just
saying I did not know Killy always had the front few.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
When I was trying to film it with a GoPro,
Jose was a little upset with me because I was
getting a good shot of myself and apparently I was
cutting off.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
Yeah, because she's doing like a selfie and she's focused
on her right and I'm in the back being the
most heavy one.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Let's make it clear I was the most heavy one.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
And I'm like, Okay, I just been told that I'm
the heaviest, and now you're cutting my head. In the
video you see my neck and you see her whole glamor.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Well, and it was funny because that was our first
ride of.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
The day and I you were still on swimsuit watch
a little bit.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Yeah, well, and I kind of was like, am I
really going to get that soap like on this one?
That ride by far? Like you come you are just
forget about it. You're drenched, like the.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Front, from the back, it was absolutely.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Everywhere everywhere.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
But I loved that ride. I was like, and then
we have to do it again because the go pro
the water hit it, and so I think the GoPro
thought it like I actually was really excited. This wasn't
one where you're like, oh, I have to do it again.
I was like, oh, okay, we don't have to do
this again.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
So did she get a better better you know, the
second time?
Speaker 1 (26:24):
I don't know. I have to see the video. I mean,
I'm pretty sure she's she's in it. I don't know
if I'm in it.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
But talking about you guys were talking about like swimming
suit and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Well turns out that this is behind the scenes. Okay, yeah,
hand the scenes. That's actually perfectly.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Question, which is do you have any embarrassing water moments?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Today, yeah, you have the one.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Okay. So this is the thing. So this morning when
she woke up, she was like, oh, I got swimming
seven swim and suits. What oh, because you know us, lady,
we got to figure out which ones look good. And
I'm like, oh, I got only one but solid right
right right one one solid yeah? And then she's like no,
but whatever.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
And then she showed me assim s and I'm like, cute,
but there's still be some rides.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
You know, it might be good for YouTube, but I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
But then she was like, so she spent like another
thirty minutes like and I'm like when you're gonna come down,
and said we need to go, and she's like, oh,
I got to figure out which one's gonna be solid.
So she ended up picking the the how do you
order it?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
How do you order it?
Speaker 3 (27:37):
It was like so literally, yeah, well, I brought a
lot of swimsuits, but I was trying to channel like
my dad for the video and stuff to what he
might like think is appropriate. You know, we're always trying
to think about that with angles, Like it's like, uh,
you know, fretting about that. And then also I hadn't
thought about but to your point, like Kelly, you're going
down these slides and I you know, saw some videos
where you know, some women were really trying to make
(27:58):
sure and like, oh gosh, good point. Thanks saying that.
So a couple of days ago, at the last minute,
Thank goodness, I did do a search of full covered,
one piece me black, Grandma classic, and so I'm like, oh,
I don't really want to wear that, but maybe I should.
(28:20):
And he's just kind of like, I mean, there's nothing
and a guy can say, He's just like, wear whatever
makes you comfortable, but we gotta go.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
Yeah, And so I was like, you know what, Okay,
you got a safe bet you took the grandma's in
the suit.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
So she says she looks like grandma. But that's it.
So then we were like, Okay, we're safe. Nothing's going
to happen.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Nothing's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Everything's blocked, everything's locked.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Yeah, until I'm shooting video in the wave pool, and
then I feel like there's something missing. My shorts bill
out on me, my surf shirt that designed for a way.
They just decided to like take a break, And the
worst part of the situation is that I have this gentleman,
(29:05):
this lady in front of me.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
They noticed that I lost my you know how we noticed.
How we noticed is because he's like my shorts, no,
but I have a camera, so I don't want to
drop the cameras. So I'm hoping one of my two
friends will like take the camera away so I can
go pick up my shorts.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
You know what they did, They grabbed their cameras and
make sure the shu I got two angles.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
So if you want to see the video, there's like
the front the back of the day like they were
recording one was recording four K and I'm like, nobody
helped me because.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
It's going to help our engagement.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
It could, I don't know, bring it down.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Did Kelly pass out? Did jo competition?
Speaker 2 (30:00):
I really?
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Next time I will worry about my shorts.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Bring about her full covering an option and then talk
to me about it, which always right in the moment.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Or maybe I should google all.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
No more out there double tie those next yea.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yeah, well I'm excited to see this.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Right now.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
About Yeah, what do you want to see first?
Speaker 4 (30:42):
That?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
All right, Sarah, let's rain this back in Okay on that,
let's go to let's talk about the local and Seattle show.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Yeah, that's what I'd like to talk about.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
I like to pivot.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yeah, yeah, I got to couch on my shoulder. How
do you choose your locations for local lens?
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Oh gosh, I mean as being a local, it's like
I always want to hit things that are hidden gems,
like something that someone might not know about. So one
of my favorite videos was doing hot taboat in South
Lake Union. It was like you're literally sitting in a
hot tub and you're driving in around with a little joystick.
(31:26):
It's so fun. I've also just loved like anything again
that's like an experience. So I'm really terrible at skiing.
No surprise there at like any It's just like I
think that's why this pairing is funny. So you know,
like going to Crystal Mountain and just like being out
in the elements, and I think I just bring that
kind of like average andy like vibe where I'm like,
(31:47):
I'm just out here trying not to get hurt in
my thirties, just like trying something new and.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Try to yeh never never, why not try?
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Even if it was for the show?
Speaker 1 (31:59):
No trice guy, Okay.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
And yeah, I don't love being in a plane in general.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
And it's interesting considering how you got here.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
Yeah, oh yeah you're talking about so like just so
you know who is the diva and who's not the
da Okay, because.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
We've been arguing about this all day.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
Let me tell you which is a good thing for
everybody in Seattle to know. It's less than five hours
to drive from Seattle to here. And why would I
know that I drove it?
Speaker 4 (32:31):
She flew in, and to make it even better, she
still calls me so I can pick her up in
the airport.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
A girl. Yeah, he's not pleased, he's not. He reminds
me of you when you're talking to me.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Wow, you know I feel for you.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Actually, may I just say in my defense, I host
a show also called New Day Northwest airs at eleven
a m. On King five. Please tune in and watch it.
Just got that gig actually in January. It's a dream
come true. Very excited. But I was doing that show
(33:11):
that day and I was at and then had to
you know, be like, Okay, I need to get to
Silverwood and Idaho, and you know, just kind of worked
out with not working overtime that it made the most
sense that I would fly and I got that approved.
But then I did have to tell my friend Jose
I've been approved. You'll be driving. Sorry, I am going
(33:34):
to drive back with him, and we're both probably going
to fight on who gets to drive because we both
do love to drive.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah, although but it wasn't that bad less than five.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Hours, so yeah, you had time to think and think
about should I have brought my short like seven.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Enough, not tight enough? Worry thinking about that next?
Speaker 3 (33:57):
No one should be worrying about the girl.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
I'm not going to be coming my bus' on the Greyhound.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
The Greyhound, Like, guys, this is like ten hours going to.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
See Yeah, Okay, Well, I mean, obviously this is pretty
wild and hilarious. Are you losing your short? But are
there any other wild or hilarious moments you've had while
filming on location?
Speaker 1 (34:21):
This location career?
Speaker 2 (34:24):
I talked about location.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
What's the craziest You've gotten tattoos on?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Like tattooed twice in the show? Twice twice?
Speaker 4 (34:36):
They dump us in the water and then the guy okay,
so I went to Kahiti.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Yeah, and it's always about Tahiti. I was not invited
to Tahiti.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Yeah, now you're not.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
We had a bad trust me experience of a lifetime to.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
Here once in a life and opportunity.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Does that go change their life? No?
Speaker 4 (35:01):
But actually this guy told us a nice uh fisherman
says like, hey, this is with sharks and this great
video and this clear water. I'm like cool. And then
he's like, so, what's the plan? Like, oh, just go
in the water, you know whatever.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Cool? So he put it so well, I don't know that.
I mean they look like charts and they're okay cool.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
The guys like being cool. And then some of me
and my coworker at the time, we both went in
and we're like doing videos and then slowly I can
tell we see these sharks and these were like whoa man,
you know, HD four K and the guys like, yeah,
you guys shouldn't be there. Those are like sharks and
they will like eat you known you yeah, And I'm
(35:46):
like you kind of told us, but he's like it
was like literally on our line, it's like sixty sharks
near us. And at this point he's telling us, you guys,
try to back up, but he wouldn't even jump out,
and like we're like, okay, which is not the long
it probably was from here absolutely.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
And then but is it now you want to go
into hitting.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
It was in my mind I thought, okay, they're not sharks,
but yeah, they're not going to hit you, because why would.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
They told me to go inside.
Speaker 4 (36:13):
But then when he started getting scared and like we
were shooting this little piece that was in the in
the ocean, and we're like, dude, my heart was just pumping,
like I need to get yeah, a lot of hair.
So we probably took like thirty seconds, but it felt
like it was like ten minutes and we were just
surrounded by sharks and you can feel in my gosh, yeah, yeah,
that's a video.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Too, but that's scary.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, he probably was telling him and there was like
three and then they all were.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Like you so yeah, it's like they know that sharks
are not gonna like that, but when they come too much,
then he got nervous.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Yeah, you're surrounded on all sides. Well, i'd say that's
pretty that's pretty well, well, yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Yeah, literally nothing that I can't even think right now,
I feel like. But one of my favorite stories, I
did a horse polo story.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
I used to horses.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I love horses, and so that was just really fun
for me because I had never tried like horse polo,
but I love riding, and so that kind of was
able to combine a couple of sports that I enjoyed.
And I did get a goal and so yeah, it
was kind of slow motion going back. You know, it's okay,
(37:21):
I did it. I can't really think. I mean, good lord,
I can't top anything, Like I'm not jumping out of
a plane.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
You know you should, right.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I think she should.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yeah, it's roller coaster.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Passed out on that, Like, I no way, I do
really want to go up with the Blue Angels, and
I know I would probably pass out from that to
that A lot of people do. But something about that
feels like, yeah, that's amazing, that's once in a lifetime.
Yeah for sure. But maybe I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
No, I don't think I'm jumping out of a plane.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
So you think that the Blue Angel is going to
be easier, right, Yeah, because.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
I'm in it and I'm with somebody that's an expert.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
You have no idea, She'm Kelly.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Maybe it's a little more your style to go find
a place that's like infested with cats or something.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Can mention your cat real quick than you're welcome. I
was looking for that. Go ahead and give your kitty
cat a shout out. Yes, I have a little foster
failed named Franklin. Now I just call him frank. He's
a couple of years old. He's precious. Follow him Live
with Franklin, Live with Kelly Hansen, Live with Franklin exactly.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
I had to give her the chance. Do you want
to name drop a cat?
Speaker 1 (38:35):
I don't have a cat. Well, this is the thing
like this too.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
You were in there there, but this to a lunchtime
they were talking about I'm sure cat. I can only imagine,
only think that you quite don't know. They're talking about
a cat, and then this one is saying, oh, he's
a gentleman.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Let me, let me, let me see that picture.
Speaker 6 (38:59):
Oh yeah, he's good looking. He's like, yeah, he's so handsome.
The other day I introduced him to my parents. I'm like,
who are you talking about? It is their cat.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
I was like, it sounds like you're your boyfriend's so handsome.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Look at him, just my precious angel. Frank.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
So, what what do you enjoy enjoy most about? You know,
your your jobs, but also like local in Seattle, Like
what about that? Do you just like get a I
don't know, do you just really really vibe on something
that you want to like share with the people all
that stuff? What is that one thing that gets you
the most excited about going on a shoot?
Speaker 3 (39:45):
For me, it is, well, because spending time with Kelly,
that's the number one umber.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
One talking about cats no for me. For me, it's
it's at the end of the day.
Speaker 4 (39:55):
It's not a normal job that you're just sitting down
right and then is meeting people. It's just getting to
tell stories of other people and like like even coming here, right,
you get to discover yourself, like you're not just doing
it for work, like you are a living those experience
and then you're sharing with other people.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
But likes is falling off the way.
Speaker 4 (40:16):
Yeah, and sometimes you have to realize that you are lucky,
you know, because like it's not about I mean, even
though they don't give you a race and stuff, you
still do it. Like people will do this for free,
people will do this for vacation. The only difference is
that we have to shoot with cameras and stuff.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
That gratitude yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Meeting different people every day.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Yeah, yeah, I think at the end of the day,
like we're both storytellers. We love telling stories, showing people
like an experience that they can create a memory with
their family and friends. And like you said, like every
day there's no same day, Like every single day is different.
I never know what's going to happen. Every story is
kind of like putting together a little puzzle. And it
(40:56):
allows people a platform too to like talk about their
passion their business. And it's also just so fun to see,
you know, businesses, especially small businesses, kind of blow up
and we can help them on something, you know. I know,
we're not saving lives like a doctor or anything like
that out in the world. But I feel like, you know,
we are doing.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Travelers medicine to medicine too. You know, you just might
be right.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
Well, even like this park, like people think, okay, it's
a business, it's a park whatever, But then when you
come to the park and then you see how people
are enjoying it, you know, like it's like earlier you
said that that it's like you people are building memories.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
You know, like we're not here forever.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
But then if you can have a great time with
your friends, family, kids, whatever you have in your life,
whoever you have in your life, and if you don't
have nobody, if you can enjoy a moment, you know,
like that's.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
The beauty of life.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
So then a lot of like companies like even TV entertainment,
you guys, will be kind of quality in that category entertainment.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Uh, that's the reason we are here, because people need
to like enjoy moments. Yeah, And I think we talk
about that all the time. Of like our favorite moments
of our job is seeing that kid conquer their roller coaster.
You know, they're finally tall enough to ride that roller coaster,
and it's like the joy in your face, in their
face makes it's just infectious, right, and the pride and
(42:14):
mom and dad say yeah, you know those moments.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
And every day, like I hope everyone feels the way
we all clearly feel about our jobs. Like every single
day when I'm driving to work and when people are
talking about Sunday scaries, I don't have that. I have
always been so excited to drive to work and live,
you know, my dream like our Like it's just so
cool to think like, yeah, what like little Jose, little Kelly,
(42:39):
like all of us would think about where we are
in our careers, and I think it's really cool to
be living out your dream and making people laugh. And
you know, I don't know today people kind of need that.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Now you're going to make me cry, true though, Yeah,
we wanted to break a record here.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
Killy apparently is very sentimental and said that he did.
Oh so you're gonna cry.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
I'm just I'm so the same can.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
Here. So if you give, if you give Sarah goosebumps,
it's like you just walked in the door, because.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
It gives me the lump in my throat.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
Yes, there you go.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Good, Yeah, now you're going to make that's the plan. Well,
he'll cry on the way home.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
What would you tell someone who's, you know, living and
their dream is to do what you want to do
or what you are doing. I mean, but that's what
they want to do in life, Like how do they
start like progressing towards them?
Speaker 3 (43:37):
You just have to start, Like that's always my favorite
thing to tell people, and I'm talking to like high
schoolers or anyone else. It's like, I think people are
so scared to just begin, like because they're worried about
what their logo looks like or their name of like
if they're starting a podcast or Instagram page, and they
want things to be perfect and so dialed in. And
I think that's the biggest thing is just to start
(44:00):
and once you kind of start snowballing from there and
figure out like your niche and what you're passionate about
and your hobby and then it doesn't feel like work.
And people love authenticity. They can see that, especially on
a show and like having like a genuine good time
and a good connection in chemistry, and I think that's
what speaks to people. So that's always my like first
(44:22):
bit of advice. Of course, I could give people like
a laundry list of like where we went to school places.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
It doesn't I started.
Speaker 4 (44:30):
I started doing skateboarding videos when I was a kid.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Okay, right, and the one today.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
I saw a lot of kids that came to me
when they were you saw the camera, it's like, oh
you do or whatever? So there and we're talked about
like eight year olds and whatever.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
They like it. They they probably follow their.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
YouTube, uh YouTube or their favorite whatever to do.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
I think it's the the dream when you're a kid
and you have something and you like it. Like if
my mom would have known all the TV that I
watched when I was a kid, and how many times
go to sleep I'm doing research mo.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Yeah yeah. But the trick is.
Speaker 4 (45:08):
Follow your dream and then don't wait until people criticize
what you do, because people will criticize you and it
doesn't matter if it's good for you, if you enjoy it,
you're gonna learn yourself and you're asked, you're gonna learn
your own mistakes how you could do it better. But
don't be down because somebody says you're not good. I
(45:28):
met a lot of people that they were turned down
many times and they made it and for parents. Funny enough,
a lot of times kids do things and we think
it's funny, we think it's not. We don't take them serious.
I'm not saying they don't love their kids, we just
don't take the kids serious. A lot of those little
games that kids are doing, they could be the next person.
(45:49):
When a six year old say that he wants to
be an NBA, they will be a six year old.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
It will be in the NBA. Same thing with YouTubers.
To sound ridiculous, but if an eight year old wants
to be a YouTuber, there are going to be future YouTuber.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
So take them a little serious and it could be
a fun game to enjoy and they're gonna feel very
appreciated because that's gonna I've met a lot of people
when they were kids and now they are audults. And
the one thing they say that the girl is right
now on the and the voice mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:14):
I met her when she was a teenager and she
always told me.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Her father how he always took serious that.
Speaker 4 (46:22):
Her daughter liked to sing, and he spent time and
it's a bonding time in and sometimes you know, we
basically work and we don't see those so it was
not a game for her father. It was like okay,
I'm going to use this to connect with my daughter,
and now she's in the voice there, you.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Know, it's all you say. It is one yes too,
like you all get like we've all in our career
has gotten so much criticism, knows you know. I've been
told a million times like you're not going to be
on TV, You're not gonna you don't have the voice,
you don't have the look, you don't have any of this.
And I think it's just really asking yourself, like you
have one life to live, what if? And is that
going to be a bigger thing that you're gonna kick
(46:57):
yourself down the road for So you might as well
just try and give it one hundred percent and then
you never know and you just need one.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
And then I'll be opening up four two five magazine
and seeing Kelly full page spread. Yeah, so let me
just say that much. That was so awesome to open
up and see your face. And then I turned the
page and like two pages later there you were again.
So I mean, you've you've made a girl.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
Going back with the like I will go with equipment
because I know you like the equipment. You don't need
heavy equipment all days so you can shoot with your iPhone.
You can shoot with the gold Pro, which is cheap
back in the days, so you need to buy a
very expensive camera. There's people make great We have used
stuff from iPhones and have made it on TV. You
can make a story with an iPhone, so you don't
(47:41):
have to wait to have the best equipment.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Start with your phone, do it? Yeah, just begin. Yeah,
you can only get better. You can only get better.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Yeah, you really can.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
Well, we have a little game to play. It's just
like a game versus you. No, I think it's a
little like a debate game. I guess like questions. Yeah,
you know it's this or that, right, So we're gonna
we're gonna do a little this or that comparing your
first trip to Silverwood with your second trip to Silverwood. Okay,
(48:13):
so we'll start off with some easy questions, and Sarah,
you're in on this. We'll kind of talking about your question.
I know, but I'm going to talk. I'll ask the
questions sun or rain son son son son. Okay, you're
from Seattle, So I like a little rain. Okay, I
(48:34):
like a little rain, but I like the soun better
mountains or ocean. Oh, mountain. I'm a snowboarder.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
So yeah, right, yeah, I mean I love and see
all that. We have boats, so that's hard.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
You're taking the ore.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Yeah, no, no, I don't like being man boxed mountains.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
I'm ocean took, like ocean summer or winter summer.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
My b days coming up July, remember.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
It, her be days coming up in July. We'll play
for you in July. Yeah, send it to me. I
love both. But again, snowboarder, snowboarder, winter, winter.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
So it depends on where I'm residing. So I came
from Arizona. Definitely not summer North Idaho summers. There is
nothing like it in this world.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
So summer anywhere in the Northwest. Summer city or country country.
Speaker 3 (49:37):
Sorry guys, sorry, I.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Don't know.
Speaker 3 (49:43):
I think I'm going country.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
Yeah. I like city. I'm a city. My wife doesn't.
But yeah, so that's why we're like, God, yeah, we
need to work. You can't bring I Yeah. Yeah. Just
found out that she ate one of our trees that
we just planted. So that's a bummer. Okay, moving on
(50:07):
feed butter Oh this is a good one. Uh drive
or fly's first.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
Glad you gave me the chance to go first dry Yeah, yeah, actually,
funny enough. I don't like plane so much and I
travel a lot, and a lot of my producers put
me in like any task that has a small plane
or helicopters. They sign me in because I think, like
he's gonna get used to it.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
Never got used to it.
Speaker 4 (50:34):
And that's actually why I ended up jumping out of
the plane, because it's like, well, because there's not going
to be a turbulence more than somebody opening the door
and just throwing you. I was like, there's a turbulence
of the plane nowadays. Somebody frowed me on the plane before.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
So yeah, oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
So driving drive, I'm definitely going driving to I love
a road trip, I really do. And I'm not a
great flyer with turbulence either.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
Driving I can take my dog. Oh the cricket can come.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
I like driving, but I think I'll go fly. I
don't think we can all agree on something. But I
don't want to drive to like Florida.
Speaker 2 (51:15):
The things you'd see along the.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Way, Yeah, and it would take half the trip to
get there. True, the trip is the drive. Okay, you
have that perspective. Okay, now we'll get into more of
like this Silverwood or Boulder Beach. Oh gosh, like like
would be like the roller coaster side, Boulder Beach, the
(51:38):
water park side.
Speaker 4 (51:39):
But if it comes solo always friends, you decide winter
or summer?
Speaker 1 (51:48):
You can? Can you say winter? Sentence kidding, I'll figure
to go with the water park. Wow.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
Oh I'm surprised. Well, why Lazy River. That's why I'm
going to go with silver Wood Because when you guys
were talking about like people conquering their fears and stuff
like that, because I'm going to conquer my fear. I'm
going to go back on after show going to do it.
(52:16):
We got to do it, and I'm going to stay
awake this time.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
Yeah, right, you deserve a do over Bulder Beach just
because the playlist over there is bomb. That playlist gets me,
just like I saw you guys dancing in the entrance paylist.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
And right up I was asking you guys that you
know who sings that song? You know whatever?
Speaker 4 (52:36):
Yeah, yeah, we didn't know, you guys, didn't she would
have figured out.
Speaker 1 (52:43):
I'm gonna say Silverwood as well. Yeah, like I do,
Like I'm just a roller person person funnel cake or
cinnamon bread. That's so hard, I know, did you try
the cinnamon Actually, my league is more in the cinema bread.
Cinnamon bread. Yeah, it was very tasty and it's kind
(53:03):
of like hit the right spot.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
Okay, Oh gosh, that's so hard because I normally would
be all in on a funnel cake, but the cinnamon
bread is like life changing. They warm it up for
you and they give you a side of like frosting.
I'm going cinna bread.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
I can't choose muffin top. Can't because because I didn't.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
I didn't know. I said fun funnel cake, funnel cake.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
Yeah, I love my fruit fretty.
Speaker 1 (53:27):
I know you do like your fruit Panta. I'm gonna
go cinnamon bread, cinnamon bread. So that's part of today.
You guys went and had some pastries before we started,
and then last time you had the funnel cake. But
next question is after shock or tremors? Easy? After shock?
Speaker 3 (53:45):
Oh, tremors, trammers?
Speaker 1 (53:48):
Oh man, I think the new tremers. I have to
say tremmors as well. What trammers. I know you guys
are unreal. You guys. Disappointment wrote yeah wrote it was amazing. Yeah, yeah,
it was great. But I like after shock though. That's
a hard one after Shock. After this, I'm going to
buy an aftershot T shirt. Okay you shut Yeah, there
(54:09):
you go. Please tag us eagle Hunt or stunt Pilot.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Eagle Hunt.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
But stunt Pilot was your favorite last time.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
I know. But it is like so different and cool,
like it looks literally out of this world with the
like way you guys get the tubes up there, and
I was like, this is from another planet.
Speaker 4 (54:29):
Okay, yeah, I think Eagle Hun, to be honest with you,
because it's like, I've never been in a water park
to have something that you're going up down and then
even though when you're going up, you get the splash
when you get up there, so it's kind of like fun.
It's kind of like and you I thought it was
once and no, it goes up a couple of times
and you're like, all right, this is funny.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
Then you're trying to race with somebody else and yeah,
so oh yeah. The first time they went, they got
smoked by the people. I don't know, they were like
child easy.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
They were like.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
Coming down the last l on the boat in front
of the getting out of their boat.
Speaker 4 (55:01):
Yeah dad, and he's not We're waiting us almost like oh,
it's like a picture speak of the losers.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
They are, Oh, probably eagle hunt man. Yeah, it was
so fun this last week. I hadn't experienced it yet
until last weekend, so I forgot about real it was
so fun.
Speaker 3 (55:23):
Like I think people should go just for that, like along,
there's a season it one.
Speaker 1 (55:30):
Okay, yeah I can't. I can't magic show or train ride.
H that's actually hard. You're getting harder and harder.
Speaker 3 (55:42):
Well, yeah, gosh, you go first, Killy, I'm going to
go train ride. I I think I thought before we
were getting on that it was just going to be
a leisurely like stroll. I know you guys said it
was interactive, but I just feel like so many of
my friends with kids and and honestly I enjoyed it too.
It's just a nice break.
Speaker 4 (56:02):
Yeah, well to see the par Yeah. Well I got
kidnapped in the train that's true.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
Yeah, no, you were an accomplice. Yeah, well.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
You're jealous.
Speaker 1 (56:13):
So I have a lot of.
Speaker 4 (56:13):
Emotions because I went from like thinking on getting kidnapped,
but then they invited me to be the bad guy
and then rob everybody else, So there was a lot
of emotions going on.
Speaker 1 (56:23):
Yeah, to keep any of the money.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
But when I saw the Magic Game Show, they offered
me a drink from the entrance and that was it
was a drink that was spitting a lot of things
on me.
Speaker 1 (56:36):
Yeah, so let's go with that. Let's go with the
Magic Magic. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:40):
So in other words, as long as we can give Okay,
So mine is really difficult because I love Gypsy, I
know you do, but I love Dynamite Dan, you better,
(57:01):
So it's really can I do an or No.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
You'd never let anybody do an.
Speaker 2 (57:04):
Ar It's really tough. But I will say this year's
entertainment stuff is just killing the game. So we're gonna
go with the train. Thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
I'm gonna stay the train as well. The train as well,
I have to I act in it. And yes, Dynamite Dan, Yeah, okay,
like last year, I play dynam my dad, I haven't yet.
Speaker 4 (57:28):
Can you give me like a little bit of like
would you like, yeah, Dynamite getting character?
Speaker 1 (57:33):
Oh if I was, if I was, you my accomplice. Yeah,
so you're kidnapping me right now, I'm kidnapping you. Well,
you're making me the bad guy. And like my great
uncle Daniel was said, Well, what's a comment with accomplice
is they always wear a yellow bandanna. So sir, would
you come up and come up with me to the
front because you always wear a yellow hat, come up
with me the All right, I'll with it. We're going
(57:58):
up to the front. You're with me, Okay, I haven't
done it this year, so I'm like trying my lanes.
I know I wrote it. So the first thing, the
rule about being accomplished is you gotta have a disguise
to hide how your face looks. So I have a
mustache right here, so put this on for size, thank you.
And then you gotta have a genuine, authentic cowboy hat.
(58:19):
And I found this one at a bachelorette party in Missoula.
Here you go, There you go. Ami. The most important rule,
rule number three is you got to have a dangerous
name to go in front of your first name. It
just to get him all look cool, all the wanted
posters like Dynamite Dan or Calamity Jane. So your name
is Jose, Yes, hey, maybe something dangerous Jose. I'm gonna
go with Hoki Jose.
Speaker 6 (58:42):
Jose, so da, So what I do?
Speaker 1 (58:48):
What Hoki Jose has to do? Now, Hoki Jose has
to rob this train and then give all this stuff
back to me and sit down and enjoy the show.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
Did you change your mind now?
Speaker 1 (58:59):
Yes, I think it's a natural.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
Yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (59:02):
Struggle through that, but it's okay, I'm going to switch
my boat. We're going with the train. Thank you. It's
a clean cleane oh man that I need to refresh
those lines. I'll tell you that before I go back in.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
It was like studying them when we were on the
train yesterday.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
Yeah, I was. I was just reciting them because there's
some new lines this year and I don't want to
speaking of that.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
We were shocked about like how much the actors have
to remember. They're long, and it's like this is because
sometimes we have to remember scripts too when we were
like introducing stories, but like I would just shock like
how long it was, and they were on the dot
and you're like, this is intense.
Speaker 1 (59:39):
They put a lot of work into that, and we
do a lot of rehearsal time for them. We probably
could do more, but at some point it's like you
know your you know your spots. Yeah, and then they
do a lot of ad libbing too, which is great,
but sometimes oh yeah, I just wait for their great
ad libs and then I put that in the full
time script. Okay, we have a couple more, all right,
(01:00:00):
we have log Flume or the Lazy River.
Speaker 3 (01:00:05):
M I know, I'm going to say log Flume because
that was just so fun and shocking when we got
like sprayed from at the end. But it's yeah, it
reminds me kind of Splash Mountain of Disneyland.
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Are you really asking that question to me?
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
No, we're moving.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
I'm I'm not going to make you crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
Yeah, but I'd have the Creamsicle beer.
Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
Yeah, that was really good. I know I didn't know
about that. I didn't either, I didn't you told me
about I'd probably do Lazy River as well. Gosh, yeah,
it's okay, it's okay. It's going to be different Lindy's
or the chuck Wagon Barbecue that we ate last time.
Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Lindy's.
Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
Yeah, because Lindy's has like the train goes by and
I sat outside side and then it's like the building
is so cool.
Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Yeah, it was so good to the food was good.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
The service were sweet too.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
But it's like the food is great, but also like
the vibe of the place, you know, it looks like an.
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Old building Victorian style.
Speaker 4 (01:01:14):
You have a train going by you, and then like
every everybody's on the train, they're like waving at you,
so you're eating and waving that dam stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
I think it's more than just food. It's experienced. So definitely, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
If I didn't work upstairs, I would say Lindy's. But
since I'm there all the time, girl needs an escape
now and again, so I'm going to try.
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
But you don't eat Lindy's all the time?
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
No, I don't, But I could eat barbecue for breakfast, lunch.
Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
And cheese all the meats.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Wow, freshly cut watermelon yeaheah, Well are you hungry? Going
back into their kitchen and just watching food?
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
And every time we do a podcast, we're like, man,
we're hungry. Now.
Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
I wish you have like an angle of a camera,
because when you were talking about the barbecue, you were
like this.
Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
Almost like yeah, yeah, I think Lindy's is mine. I
think Lindy's is my favorite place in the entire park. Special. Yeah,
it's very It's different for like a theme park to
have a sit down restaurant with really high quality food.
And I love their burgers. Yes, Okay, you today too, though,
(01:02:30):
what you ate a burger? Regular burger? Yeah, that's that's
my go You heard that, Yeah, and I ate it
really fast. It was like at my own table. Last
one is soft serve ice cream or hard scoop ice cream.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
It's a soft serve And I call it a whippie dip,
which is a Midwestern vibe if you know it, you
know it?
Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
What is that based off of?
Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
Like my mom's from Cincinnati, Ohio, and everybody would was
always just like, oh, do you want a whippy dip?
Do you want a whippy dip? And that's what we
called soft serve. So not only today was that like
nostalgic for me, but it also was amazing. They have
huckleberry flavor. I got the like half and half the
chocolate and vanilla and it was huge. It was it
(01:03:16):
is insane.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
So we actually caught her in our cell phone.
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Yeah, it was this giant you know, it was like
the name here, It was like this, and they're like, oh,
we'd be right back, and then.
Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
We just see her.
Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
She secondly she's on the phone is slowly just like
munching on that thing.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Me and him were like, let's recording how far she goes.
Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
Did you dip your fries in it?
Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
We didn't do the sweet and salty, I know, we
just went full dessert.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
We just went for the soft.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Well, let me just say that soft is double bad
when the French I believe more.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Oh I saw a kid with it?
Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
Or the true you soft serve or you hard scoop
ice cream.
Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
I like both because the soft one, you know, gives
you that thing. But I will say, normally.
Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Once you're trying to whip it dap, like my mama
told me, whip it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
But no, I think like the hard ones, Uh, they
normally come from more flavor.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Yeah, because they can't.
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
So you get, you know, the extra flavors if you
really and then you can share that one too.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Yeah right, But it's like the flavors are more. I mean,
the soft serve was big enough to share to that
thing is well depending, I mean I would share it,
would killy share it? No, but we shared.
Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
The I come from a big family. You need to
fend for yourself. So that's what I was.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
Soft serve, that soft serve.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
I'm a hard scoop, can't. You can't go wrong with
the moose tracks with the mint and the huckleberry.
Speaker 6 (01:05:09):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
But she ate yesterday also in record times, amazing ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
It was fast, It was fast, and I felt it afterwards.
Waited a little bit longer carrying him over there. Just okay. Well,
and then last week because we ate the ice cream
on the roller coaster. Yeah, we've had a lot of
ice cream. We pounded that on the roller coaster and
oh I had a brain freeze and all the stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
You know, you should invite me because I did a
pretty good one with the food challenge to Okay, remember
when I, oh, yeah, when you ate the funnel cake
like a Neanderthal.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Yeah, ice cream cone on the roller coaster like a Neanderthal.
So we can be on a team.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Okay, okay, yeah me next time you guys, when you
guys come out for a scary wood.
Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
Yeah yeah, we both hate houses. Like I just think
the video would actually blow up.
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
And know it's because I always think, like with haunted houses,
like you always like, yeah, let's go the coolest one,
which is the scariest one, right right, But then once
you get there and you got your tickets and then
you go with your friends, you're like, it's not not
a good idea.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
I'm paying to get scared and I don't even have
my whipid.
Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
But in reality, like I get super scared, right, But
it's something that you kind of want to come, like.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
We love to, I know, because it's going.
Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
To be a haunted house on steroids, because it's multiple.
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
Right, we want to dress up to that. Yeah, people
can we want to dress up in our home? No,
we can dress you up.
Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
Yeahs.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
So we don't allow guests to dress up because they
get confused with our haunters and a safety concern for sure.
But we could bring you behind the scenes and get
you a little bit in the game.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
I could be scary, it could be a creepy clown.
Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
So yeah, my favorite. So I dress up as a
gilly bush a gilly suit. I'm hiding the bush and
I scare and I I've made people drop their hot dogs.
And there a guy paid me fifteen dollars because I
scared him and he bet his friend that he wouldn't
get scared, and I scared him. He came up to
me and handed me fifteen dollars and I put all
that money on the lottery. The next day, I was
(01:07:19):
think this would be the you won. This would be
the coolest story if I won. I didn't win, but
I would have been awesome here. I'm still here. I'd
still be here if I want.
Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
Yes, say though too, like I'm like, I would still
do my same job and just don't worry about money.
Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
I guess exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
And that's the best part. Yeah, between haunted, I would
love to come because are scary bushes all sorts of
other things to scare you in between each buch scared
sounds and yeah.
