Speaker 1 (00:09):
We are about to get into our next section, which
is the upcoming season Harald's of Galactus dropping August fifth
of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Even though we were supposed to talk more about the games.
I'm sure I've complained on here about Deadpool. I've complained
on your other shows, a complain on Chris's show about Deadpool.
One thing that I did think the Deadpool movies did
pretty well was introduced that guy Peter. He makes me laugh,
and so I was thinking about this upcoming season. I'd
like to see Marvel. I have a Herald of Galactus

(00:40):
who's just a guy named Harold, and he's like, no,
I don't need the power cosmic. I just use the
science and travel recommendations so to find places for the
Master to chompon.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Harold's of Galactus dropping here in a few days. So
our first card with the season pass is Galactus. First
step six cost twelve power. My Herald is the next
character I see you play at the end of turn
plus two power. If you're winning, my Herald's location if

(01:11):
in hand or in play, so I assume this goes
to Galactus. The plus two power goes to Galactus. So
by the time you do get the opportunity to lay
Galactus down. Best case scenario, you've got a one cost
card and Galactus in your hand, get your Harald out
there on first turn and then But the thing is,
you've got to continue to win that location. That's the key.

(01:33):
If you can continually win that location plus two power
each turn, my goodness, you're looking at the end of
this thing. Could be a six twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Wow, It's okay to pump a lot of effort into
that location because you're going to be dropping Galactus.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
At another somewhere else, right.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I wonder if I'm betting there is some kind of
animation that signals that a herald has been chosen, so
you'll know Galactus is there. I wonder if you even
get if you even see every bonus like with Red Hulk.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Because that would give the opponent a drive or the
motivation to try and win that lane.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So, I think when I was watching a deav video,
I'm pretty sure there was some kind of an animation,
but I don't know if it's shown on the opponents,
and it might be on yours where it looks like,
you know, I feel.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I could not really make out a lot of the
animation because of all the fire that ben bro.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Was still that was the goof Well, actually, any deav
video you watch ben Brod participate in it, and it's
just so goofy. And that's kind of why I like
ben Brod a little bit, because he knows how goofy
the stuff is and he rolls with it. So anyway,
you can't take him serious when he's wrapping up there.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Although to be fair, their wraps were pretty comic accurate.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
You can't deny it. I like Galactus. This is Galactus
first step, so this is going to be a heck
of a car. So what's your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I know you put in the notes neat bit of mechanics,
and I'm thinking, yeah, sure, mechanics are great, but I'm
just imagining different characters as Harold's. I think the one
they suggested was Jeff the Landshark. Oh, yes, you can
keep moving your Harald to wherever it is most opportune.
The Torch would be a good Herald, and with comic
precedent he was, wasn't he Yeah, when he sought powers

(03:23):
with his sister.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Sun Spot's another good one.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Mm hmm. Yeah, I think that would definitely be a
good one to have in there, and it'll be fun
to see what gets dropped, and.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
You'll want to have Armor or Cairo or both in
your deck. It'll be a great time. Well, there's never
really a bad time to have shang Chi one of
those decks where everything is nine power less and yet
they still rack up the points.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
I've seen it.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
It's okay when I do it.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
If Galactus starts being a problem, shang Chi and Ghost
lets you go second, no matter what. That way you
can be prepared to see when Galactus is about to
be dropped, and then you can go ahead and maybe
take him out shang Chi. Just think about that being
written shang Chi Punching Collects.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
There is a comic that I think of often when
shang Chi obliterates someone. It was that crossover Infinity. Yeah,
actually have to do with the Infinity Gauntlet, but there
was something where shang Chi took out this big alien
because he just totally wasn't expecting it, And so usually
when I play shang Chi, that scene runs through my mind.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Gotcha all right? Next up, Silver Surfer. First steps three
costs four power. End of turn. If you're winning this
location with an on Reveal card copy its text. So
I've got questions. Maybe the dev video explained it a
little bit better. I watched the deav video, but I
did not rewind it to see if I could understand
what in the world they were saying. This is Superpreme

(04:56):
wenty a rhyme.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
You're not sure how much reason.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Though super premium car here. By the way, folks, I
don't know how this exactly is going to work. I
assume if you have two on reveals at this one spot,
then you are going to copy just a random On's
text onto that one.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I assume it says if you're winning this location with
an on reveal, So I don't know if it will
be the most recent one played, because that would mean
you were winning with it, or maybe it's just the
first ones. A lot of cards activate in the order
they were played, right, So basically I've said the same
thing as you. I don't know, but I use a
lot more words.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I mean, the first thing that pop into my head
was like, okay, silver Surfers played there, go ahead and
use Silver Surfering. You can copy that Silver Surfers on Reveal.
Do it one more time, so you're probably going to
see decks with two Silver Surfers in them, just another
surfer deck, in my opinion, is what's going to be
happening here.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
It'll be a really disheartening play. Tell me so to
turn five. They've got a big powerful card there. Maybe
they've somehow gotten a powered up Galactus out there or something,
and you come in and you take them out with
shang Chi and then you're like, haha, now I'll drop
Galactus first Steps and then they play Silver Surfer. It
would be great to have it happened.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yes, it would that's probably going to happen. Any other
thoughts on the Silver Surfer First Steps.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
No, I've already addressed my feelings on Super Premium.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Super Premium, Super Premium Star Dust. Fore cost seven Power
Ongoing cards can't be added to locations except by playing
or moving. Finally, we get an answer to Squirrel Girl.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Do we need an answer to the Squirrel Girl? Do
we need an answer to central part?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Oh? Good point, Yeah, good point. It seems like it's
a pretty select I mean, I'm trying to think of
what other cards add other cards to other spaces. There's
a few we talked about. Debris, we talked about Squirrel
Girl the Brood.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Who I often use in conjunction with the Silver Surfer, Mister.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Sinisk, the Scarlet Spider.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Scarlet Spider. See h feels like there are others. I
wonder if Viper or Nihilis would work. That is moving
the well the century century and Stardust and Zaboo in there,
Stardust on the right.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, I mean that right there sounds like the combo
sentry and and because you're not gonna have to suffer
that other that other one. And this feels more defensive
than offensive, you know. Yeah, so I don't like defensive
cards very well. The best defensive card I think that's
out there is armor, because armor stops a lot of

(07:36):
goofiness from happening. You're securing your lane, making sure your
guys don't get destroyed. Plus if they're playing a destroyed deck,
joke's on you. Now you gotta deal with armor.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Work well with Gladiator.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Oh, you wouldn't be able to pull anything, I assume, yeah, hella, yeah,
ruin a hell of deck really good.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
And wonder I'm trying to see how Hobgoblin is on
reveal switch sides. I don't know if that would count
it would be.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
I mean, if it does, then Annihilus is out of
the question. You now have an answer for Annihilist too,
because I assume Annihilists comes out.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Card switch sides, but I know they're They're very careful
about their wording.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
It'll be interesting to see how it all goes down.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Next up, would stop Conchu from bringing somebody back at
that location?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Did you already say Fenrous Wolf? Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I did not. Elixir Elixa is going to be rendered
useless by some of the other cards that we have
coming up this season anyway, not because they stop him
from doing his thing, but.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Because they do his thing.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, Well, red Shift two cost three power on reveal,
discard the leftmost card in your hand to add a
random card with the same cost to your hand. This
one was tough for me to wrap my head around.
I was trying to figure out why you would want
to do this. But the only thing I come up
with this Collector, Because you're bringing out a created card.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
It would boost Morbius and me. You could always get
your discarded card back with Hella or Morgan le Fay.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Yeah, I see what you wrote. What'd you write.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Opposite of Blade with a bonus Lady takes the right
most card. Maybe Scorn or Swarm is over there and
you just can't reach them with Blade, so you get
Red Shift to scratch that edge.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
There have been times where I've wanted Blade to take
care of that first card instead of that last card.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
If Spider Han pigged the leftmost card in your hand,
then the Red Shift gets rid of it. Oh fine,
exactly how it went down in Secret Wars number four
and a half four five.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
That's great, all right?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Who red Shift is? I know he was a Herald
at one point. My previous experience with him was in Hero.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Click definitely has I mean, I know red Shift is
like the description of something that happens out in space.
It's some kind of measurement of use.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I thought it was a typo for Red Shirt. Nope,
Like he was Lactus's Harold, but he didn't get in,
so he has an extra year of Harold eligibility.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
He got off of Galactus's ship and then within one
episode one comic, So Many Possibilities, Tarax Detainer three costs
three power aud reveal for each location, shovel a rock
into the losing player's deck. This is a weird one too,

(10:24):
Like we're going okay on for each location, Well, there's
going to be three locations, I guess, unless.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
We're going to count. You check the score at each location.
They check the score at each location, and whoever's losing
gets a rock. If you're winning two locations and losing one,
your opponent gets two rocks and you get one. Oh okay,
that has Glactus learned employing ar Rex can come back
to bite you.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Well this makes that interesting. I figured he'd be hanging
out with Darkhawk again. Depending upon stuff that's happening in
the game, it could work for you, will work against you.
So yeah, good point. You know, come back to bite you.
Interesting mechanic here. I don't know if I like it,
But what are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I headed in the Rockslide and Tarix the New Warriors three.
At the New Warriors.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Three, the third in the trilogy.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
This time it's personal.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
All right. Next up, the Fantastic Car makes its way
into the regular season.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I think series four.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, not much really we need to talk about here.
We were kind of already talked about what it does,
what our thoughts are on it. So go back a
couple episodes, go and listen to us talk about it.
Then we have Frankie Ray. Now they didn't goodness, what
was it? Snapzone did not have Nova listed it on there.
But I remember seeing the card, I think on the
dev video and it says Frankie Ray Nova. Yeah, so

(11:49):
she has three costs four power. After the next time
you play a six cost card, double this card's power.
I did some math ladies and gentlemen. So let's say
you get a six cost out there on turn five.
Now you got a three eight turn six. Now you
got a three sixteen turn seven, now you have yourself

(12:11):
a three thirty two. You're laying out a six cost
card each time. Though my strategy was get Silock in there.
Turn four, we got six power. We can lay out
something on turn five.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
For electro Electron, get trying to play six costs anyway,
you're not gonna care about electro only letting you play
one card.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yep. And because of the recent use of Prodigy I've
been doing, I was thinking, well, shoot, you get Prodigy
out there and you can have two of these things,
doubling power possibly and then living tribunal where okay, just
focus on all your power one lane and then just
Living Tribunal at the end of it and you're done.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
It's maybe there to protect Nova.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Right you could potentially have one lane win you the
game if you can get Prodigy in there, Frankie Ray,
Armor and Living Tribunal on one lane and you can
play whatever you want on the other lanes. You could
potentially have sixty four power right there, divided by three.
It's going to get you in the twenties at the
very least. I like this. This will probably be the

(13:10):
one I price you for. So what's your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
I said it would work well with Doom in the
Grand Arena because his skill lowers the cost of six
cost cards to three. But Grand Arena will be over
by then, and the next time they do Grand Arena,
Doo may not be an option. Yours is more plausible.
And maybe get Nick Fury in there to make sure
you have plenty of the six cost cards and then
the next star we're going to talk about that. Maybe

(13:32):
beneficial there. Electro could help you out for sure, or
Jennifer cale I here, she's really useful.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Finally, get that deck in there.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
You could use her and get her in on turn
two and then you activate her so that you have
that extra on turn six.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
And next up the Fallen One five costs five power
on reveal, set your max energy equal to this card's power.
You need to lay this thing out with some additional
power on top of it. Hopefully you get a turn
seven so you get another bonus, you know, but another
bonus added all out there, or you get her out,
you get the Falling one out early. This thing's got

(14:10):
to be in your hand right Set your max energy
equal to this cards back. Well, I shouldn't say that because.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
We gets on reveal, but be careful because if you
haven't boosted it at all, you're taking your energy down.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Yeah, your six your sixth turn is going to.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Be don't still you bileeve with this guy or log draw.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
So gwin pool is going to add power to it
before you do it on reveal a koya and Nakia
is going to do the same thing. If it's in
your deck. It's a koy a Knakia. Do you want
to play if the Fallen one's in your hand? Facetost
would help, yes, And can't think of anything else that
galacto would help this plus three or plus two plus

(14:49):
two now plus two, so you give yourself a little
bit extra energy here, anything else that you had there.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
No, I think that's about it. Oh but the next
time Krako is the future law. Oh my god, this deck, Yeah,
that'd be nice well, and then Sunspot in case you
do get it up really high Sunspot to catch whatever
you can't use.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Next up, Cosmic Ghostwriter five costs seven power on reveal.
Remove the text from front row enemy cards here. My
thoughts initially were, Okay, I don't know how well that's
going to work. Sometimes you get some heavy hitters in
the front row. Sometimes the heavy hitter shows up in
the only one lane, but it's not too often. Usually
it's in the back row where you know iron Man's

(15:31):
going to hide or on slot's going to end up
because they get played later, and the two in the
front aren't usually the big guys that you're worried about,
so I appreciate what they're doing here. It's Cosmic ghost Writer.
I'm kind of glad that this card is in the game.
I just don't know how impactful it's going to be
on a turn five. What are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (15:51):
He is the arch nemesis of Captain Carter, just like
in Excalibur Volume thirty two. Yep, get there.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, I mean really useful against Sunspot, really useful against
just like you said, the shield Captain.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Shield Captain Shield's a good one or an invisible woman
first steps. Yeah, prodig. You can't copy text that's not there.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
That's right, that's right, all right, man, a lot of
cards this season. We're hitting another situation where we got
ten cards releasing. And then the other thing is we
don't have any of those skill cards that are coming
with these things either. This is all ten legit cards,
all right. So next up is air Walker, which I
think is going to be part of the high voltage

(16:37):
rewards three cost three power. When this is destroyed, replace
it with a fore cost card from your hand or deck.
So I got thinking about this today. I really put
some thought into this, and we could try to hash
it out here. See what you think. Air Walker comes out,
and then let's say you destroy it and Phoenix Force
comes back out. I mean, and you'll put one fore

(17:01):
cost card in your hand or excuse me, in your deck.
Then you're guaranteed to draw that card no matter what. Yeah,
so I mean it'll be nice. What is Phoenix Force
like something five? And then you would add five, four
or five. Then you got air Walker, So now you
got yourself, you know whatever, Maybe you laid carnage out there,
you got the bonus OFFVA killing air Walker, and then

(17:22):
air Walker comes back, and now it's a fore cost
the Phoenix Force that can move anywhere it wants to.
I really thought to myself the next card, and this
card is going to be some weird synergy we may
have to talk about here. So what are your thoughts
here on air Walker.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
I'm flipping through the fore cost cards.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Trying to think who else would be good?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Who you would want to make sure you get a
Doom twenty ninety nine isn't bad.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
I don't know who else would be good, not.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Bad either way. Or maybe you call op City in
or Crossbones so you don't have to meet their requirements
to play them. Yeah, they'd be good. Get ten points
and not have top through any hoops.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah. I was going to say, big power guys for
the fours. Anything else? You have one air Walker.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Just another character that I know only thanks to hero clicks.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
All right, Next up, as we reach the end of
the cards, here we have fire Lord four cost six
Power on Reveal Revive one of your discarded or destroyed
three cost cards here. So I thought to myself, if
you throw fire Lord as the only card in there,
you'll get air Walker back immediately after you destroy him,
So he's kind of like a free four to six

(18:32):
after you get him destroyed. Somehow. That's kind of all
I had on him. I'm sure there's probably other stuff
as far as three cost cards go destroyed or discarded whatever.
What's your thoughts on fire Lord?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Yeah, thumbs up for Synergy. I'm trying to think who
would be a good three cost.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
You got to get that card discarded or destroyed, so, Lily,
I mean you're thinking destroyed deck at this point and
wanting to put fire Lord in there.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yeah, because my media thought was, well, if you've boosted
up for and somebody's shawng Cheese and you could get
him back with what he'd be back at full power
and that seems way too specific, oh, but definitely interesting.
And if our lord's the one I was talking about,
he's got more power than Elixir and you don't have
to do it on exactly the turn after true. Yeah,

(19:21):
Alixer was the one that I was excited about and
got to work like once and now he's already been replaced.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
He has been replaced. All right. Our first location is
the Seventh Cosmos. Replace all locations. I'm gonna leage in
that we're at the end of this game, or if
turn five you all know what's gonna happen, all bets
are off. Yeah, and then I mean, I don't know
if you have anything else to add to that, but

(19:46):
it is what it is, all locations. It's like a
world forge one time.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yeah, I think about how many times the Reality Stone
or Scarlet Witch has made me regret playing them.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Right now, you have the Seventh and then the Silver Surfer.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Would be cool, cool bit of variety. There could be
some neat stuff to come from that.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Yeah, nobody's gonna know what the heck's gonna happen when
that thing drops.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Jesse, Yeah, in your Legion deck on that day. Also
put in Snowguard because you could change it again with
the Bear Spirit.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
I think, oh yeah, well, yeah, you never know what
that card it say. Okay, I want to do that.
Oh okay, why can't I do this right now? I
don't understand. Good point. Well, our second location for the
season is I think this is Silver Surfer's home planet. Yep,
zen Law at a three cost card from your deck. Here,

(20:37):
I'm not changing my note from last season on the
second location surfer deck. You have a serfer deck ready
for zen Law, which I thought was pretty funny. So anyway, yeah,
I mean that this is perfect. This is this fits
right in with a lot of synergy with this location.
Anything you can think.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Of here, I'm imagining the Punisher popping up on the
Silver Surfer's home planet.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Oh oh man, alright, very good. Well there it is,
ladies and gentlemen. That is our discussion of the upcoming
season Heralds of Galactus. That Sucker is dropping August fifth
of twenty twenty five, only a few days away from
when me and Evan are recording. Right now, go out there,
have a good time. Thanks a lot for joining us.
